Finally! My DoL PCs and their LIs
Tumblr media
My friends asked me if I wanted to join the School AU with their OCs and I thought for the longest time before bringing Lya to the party. Then I kinda just felt like it and drew the whole gang :D They came out beautifully so more information and separated images undercut!
Tumblr media
The First one is of course Lya the Blossom
Main PC
Harpy transforms, Mate for Life.
Wears all white if she can.
Very light in weight, makes her defiant attempts usually ineffective.
Went through a lot to make things easier for her loved ones.
Skilled in segg but doesn't really enjoy it anymore at this point if it's not with her loved one. What she seeks in segg with her lover is intimacy and the feeling of security.
Secretly a meanie. Gets jealous easily and envious of almost anyone, but doesn't show it or act on it often.
Despises the Temple to her core but believes Jordan is a genuinely good person. Wanted to fuck him just because.
Protective toward her lover and the children at the Orphanage.
Very insecure about her financial state. She tried to make money anytime she could.
CONSENT YOU MOTHERFU-
Can't cook. Literally. Keep her away from the kitchen.
Tumblr media
Male Robin the Lover~ (Sorry I love this title)
The one and only.
Maybe he's trying his best, maybe he's hiding from something so terrible, who knows.
Love the purple color.
Easily scared and would cry out loud if Lya was there to reassure him and demand a lot of hugs, head pats, and kisses afterward.
Clingy as hell, but luckily he's cute just enough to let it pass.
Hell lots of freckles, everywhere all over his body even though he mostly stays at home or in the shades. Sensitive skin then.
Squishy belly.
Occasionally cross-dress when going on a date with Lya but keeps it as a hobby only.
Love to do makeup for Lya and skin care together.
Grow in height a LOT since the game started and wondering why Lya still stays the same, not that he complains about her growth of boobs and ass.
Tumblr media
Lyah the Emancipated
The second PC, made with a lot of feast boots, almost all of the Vrel coins Lya earned.
Wears all black if he can.
Demonic Harpy Chimera Transforms.
Waiting for Robin's preg contents.
2m14. Larger body type, 6/6 physic, S athletic, Vengeful Sadist. Basically all offensive.
Fucking huge manboobs produce fucking lots of milk
Almost always wears a buttplug
The only one taller than him is Jordan.
"Blood moon? Fuck Ivory Wraith I'm out."
Still works at Strip Club, mostly because he loves wearing bunny suits and he wants to look out for Darryl.
Chef. Let him cook.
Housekeeping skill F-. Drops and crashes everything every time trying to clean or deco his room.
Doesn't know how to smile but will unconsciously do so when he's near Robin.
Doesn't understand why he's still sometimes mistaken as female.
Tumblr media
Fem Robin the Lover~
So cute and squishy.
People unconsciously smile when she smiles.
"Too precious must protect."
Her weight is top secret.
Knows it all too well that Lyah intentionally feeds her more sweet treats and creamy drinks every day during every school break but can't resist the temptation of sweets.
Accepts gaining weight during the leisurely times, but has to lose it a bit before school starts again so she can fit into the school's uniforms.
Pretty proud that her lover is a chef at the biggest Cafe in town.
Slightly less freckle than male Robin. Just slightly.
Wardrobe full of checkered pattern clothes.
Of course she can cook well.
Perfect housewife material.
Timid when using strap-on but usually gets absorbed in the moment too much she forgor to pull the buttplug out before diving her strap in.
Lyah is not complaining though so it's all good.
Tumblr media
Last but not least Kariya the Alter Ego!
"Well somebody has to go to prison and asylum and... hmmm"
Devil transforms
Full name Sesshouin Kariya. Kariya means "Midnight' Swallow"
Not a new save file but one of Lya's older saves. Hence the Alter Ego title.
Was born cuz I was bored and wanted to go to places Lya and Lyah can't go because they're worried about their lover being left alone.
They don't set a love interest because of that, so they can't get attached and can freely roam everywhere.
Enjoy segg as it is, purely seeking more pleasure day by day.
Drooling Masochist. Prefer group.
Get bored easily but are also quick to forget, so after a while that very same thing may pique their interest again.
Zones out a lot. Absent-minded. Sometimes clueless to things that are not segg-related.
"Ahhhh Nii-chan, nee-chan, help me it's 23:55 already and I forgor to cum inside somebody today waaaaaaaa-!!"
Intentionally dress more feminine because they love showing off.
The color palette is reversed from Lya's.
" I wonder if it's blood moon soon..."

Wanted to make some more chimera. These two are fun. They’re lil outlanders like Sunkiss but make a living escorting people between settlements. Mostly preventative but they can throw down if need be. Big n buff ones name is Burgundy(actually rose but their magic isn’t good enough to send a clear picture of that.) and the squishy mage is named Pierce(literal feeling of being stabbed). They’re a classic fighter/caster duo and also married.
Tumblr media
Side note: Chimera’s who specialize in magic will often have very complex sensations for names as a sort of proof of their magical capabilities. Pierce specializes in combat magic with an emphasis on pain manifestation so they like to show off a little. It makes for unpleasant introductions.

I just keep making more Alternian food things.. The green and blue one is a water plant stalk, its used as a thickener for stews and gumbos, the yellow and purple is citrusy, on the sour end, green pink and orange is spicy, the flower is a night blooming chimera, its a carniverous plant that smells amazing- it reproduces by mixing its genes with the genes of whatever its caught and making those fruits from a recombination of them, then something will eat the fruit and spread the seeds around, so whether or not you get eaten depends on what stage of its reproductive cycle its in.
Deep fried wood beetles, crunchy and a little sweet and flakey. Fish eye orchid, very floral, sweet, sticky, the little individual polips come off and are chewy. Chocolate Fungus, this is packed slap full of vanillan and a little tannin-y. Fluffshroom cubes. These are light and airy and chewy and squishy, very neutral flavor, can be sweet or savory- kinda like tofu cubes with more of a marshmallow texture. The last picture is Soda Ants, based on honey pot ants. Obviously modified cybernetically as well as genetically.

How I would rewrite the TYBW arc so far:
It is Known, either by the Visoreds or Soul Reapers in general, that Quincies are extra double allergic to Hollows. When the warning goes out that the Sternritters are STEALING Bankai, not just locking them away, Shinji, Rose, Kensei, and Mashiro all immediately have the same idea. As far as we know Mashiro doesn't have a Bankai, and Shinji's is both easy to use and a massive pain in the ass, so they agree that either Rose or Kensei will be the guinea pigs. One or both of them lets their Bankai get stolen and whichever poor Sternritter takes it immediately has Magic Anaphylaxis. The Visoreds proceed to wreck shop.
Momo, best Kido user in her class, figures out how Bambietta's bombs work and devises a Kido version of Kurotsuchi's delay ball thingies on the fly. Bambi is immediately like "how did you do that, you bitch! >:D" and Momo is like "don't smile while you call me a bitch, bitch!" And then they have an absolutely apocalyptic battle that makes everybody kinda glad the Seireitei is already falling apart, because holy shit is that a lot of fire and explosions. Komamura and Shinji arrive towards the beginning of this fight and Komamura starts to step in to protect Momo like he did in canon, but Shinji stops him because he's her #1 Fan. (There is a flashback sequence of all the times Aizen subtly discouraged her from making herself more powerful, and then the first time she got impatient and just blew up a Hollow while on a mission with Shinji and he lost his goddamn mind with excitement. Sometimes healing is about rediscovering your inner pyromaniac.)
Unohana doesn't die in her fight with Zaraki. She doesn't need to to make the whole Kenpachi thing work; Unohana Kenpachi died when Unohana Retsu went to medical school and it's fine. She already went through the stages of grief for that version of herself, it's over and Zaraki is the new Kenpachi. Their fight ends with a very intense, bloody make-out session but they don't fuck nasty because they've got Quincies to kill. Batshit crazy kinky sex can happen some other time.
Gremmy gets really into fighting Zaraki, and Zaraki compliments his manic battle smile. Little do either of them know, this is the first time Gremmy has ever received Genuine Praise And Approval from a grown-up and he imprints on Zaraki like a homicidal little duckling. He ultimately loses because, deep down inside, he wants Zaraki to be his dad. Unohana is intrigued by the little goblin and saves his disembodied brain in a jar for later. (After the war is over, Unohana starts tutoring him in anatomy so he can imagine a less squishy body for himself, and he ends up getting into biology in general and imagining all sorts of bizarre chimeras as pets. Also Yachiru isn't secretly Zaraki's zanpakuto spirit and she demands Gremmy tell her exactly what kind of cookie he turned her bones into so she can taste them. Unohana and Zaraki think this is the cutest thing that ever happened, every other adult in Soul Society finds it incredibly disturbing.)
Renji and Bazz-B keep running into each other during the invasion and develop a bromantic rivalry that puts Ichigo and Grimmjow's bromantic rivalry to shame... until Bazz-B lets it slip that he killed Renji's good pal Izuru. Bazz doesn't know that they were friends, and Renji doesn't know who killed his buddy, he just knows that when he returned from the Royal Palace, Izuru's reiatsu was Conspicuously Absent. Bazz gloats about killing a lieutenant and Renji mentally sorts through all the lieutenants, puts 2 and 2 together, and it's like that moment in the Soul Society arc when Aizen catches Ichigo's blade: shit gets so real the music stops. And Renji just fucking annihilates Bazz-B on the spot. (This part is specifically inspired by @cryinglittlepeople pointing out that Renji not getting to avenge his friend is, and I quote, "clown shoe writing". Which it totally is.)(And since Renji gets to make mincemeat out of Bazz-B, he gets his obligatory Full Bankai Reveal Glory fight, so Rose and Kensei don't make fools of themselves fighting Mask.)

Fan made Mephistopelian #9: Alpha Chimera
This is a fan art piece for @enigma-of-the-false-realities project created by @blanket-nymph. Please visit the enigma of false realities blog to get more information about the project.
Tumblr media
Description: The resulting mutation of an Alpha Worm form a Chimera Swarm being left alone. Since it has all of the organs needed for survival from the get-go the Alpha Worm can survive on its own for a short portion of time but even it knows that it needs more to survive. From what we can tell here at F.A.L.S.E. the Alpha Worm will find an organism, regardless of whether it's an animal, human, or even Mephistopelian, and attack it.
The Alpha Worm will not bite or drink its blood but instead cut a wound on the skin large enough for it to enter. From there it will live inside the organism drinking their blood and absorbing their biomass like a parasite. It's predicted to take anywhere from a month to a week to finish the feeding needed to begin the metamorphosis. From there the Alpha Worm will slowly grow slightly bigger and become a full-fledged Alpha Chimera.
The Alpha Chimera will rip out of its host and use its tendrils to make a temporary body. These tendrils are long and strong despite being quite thin. They also always end in a venom coated blade tip, this venom has no paralysis properties but necrosis properties instead. Once someone is cut the venom will enter the body and start dissolving the organs and nervous system of the victim. They will be left as a dead husk of dried skin and bones.
The Alpha Chimera is normally limited to creating 12 of these tendrils with each one only able to stretch to 300 feet. However, these tendrils are not the sole or even main part of the Alpha Chimera's body. Behind the "head" of the Alpha Chimera are two organs that look to be no different that large lumps of Alpha Chimera flesh. In reality they are filled with shapeshifting biomass collected form the Alpha Chimera's meals. Every time an Alpha Chimera eats, it takes at least a week for the food to digest and in that time the Alpha Chimera is able to use the biomass however it wants.
The biomass collected by an Alpha Chimera is only limited to all forms of biomass in general. It can form large limbs with spikes and sharp claws capable of cutting steel. They can form into flight capable wings that can shoot spike projectiles at prey form a distance. All of the possibilities not only allow them to catch any prey, survive any fight, but allow them to adapt to any environment even uninhabitable ones. It's even possible for an Alpha Chimera to use the biomass as a camouflage mechanism.
An Alpha Chimera can fully mutate and shift its biomass into not just any form but any color as well. Because of this, it's possible to shift the biomass to look like a person with clothing and everything. Of course, an Alpha Chimera still possesses all of its organs as an Alpha Worm so it can mimic voices as well. Plus, its true body is still just as shiftable and squishy so there's no limit to what kind of creature or body type it can shift into.
F.A.LS.E. has only ever encountered one Alpha Chimera as it infiltrated an outpost and completely slaughtered 95% of staff inside before the last security guard took it down with luck alone. The only way to spot a Alpha Chimera is when they are revealing their true form. Survivors of the first Alpha Chimera attack did report that the Mephistopelian carried a faint smell of blood but how reliable this information is cannot be determined until F.A.LS.E. encounters another Alpha Chimera. A day that will hopeful never come.
Location: Quite possibly anywhere and everywhere.
Utilization within F.A.L.S.E.: IF, and that's a big IF, an employee here at F.A.L.S.E. could ever capture an Alpha Chimera the possibilities could be endless. But that's the thing, you have to catch one first.
Alpha Chimera's are a mutation not natural so capture at birth is impossible. Furthermore to force the mutation with an already captured Chimera Swarm would require a living sacrifice and that’s going to lead down a ethical rabbit hole no one wants to go down. The Alpha Chimera is excellent at mimicry even more so than the mutated Stalking Mimic so no way to find one. And they have one of the deadliest venoms within the False Realities as well as near limitless shapeshifting, so fighting is unfortunately also out of the question.
For now, until the more elite and VIP members of F.A.L.S.E. can find a way to capture an Alpha Chimera that's safe for everyone we suggest avoiding them entirely. So, remember, if you smell a faint stench of blood and you don't see any hostiles or Mephistopelians nearby, it's safe to assume you just encountered an Alpha Chimera and it's time to run.

I have to say, it's disheartening to keep seeing the Megumi slander on the internet and the way they don't give credit to where credit is due. I especially dislike that people think Megumi is so weak-willed just because he can't regain control of his body against Sukuna and compares him to Yuji, a result of Kenjaku's experiment, who was designed to be a cage for Sukuna. It's definitely not just a matter of will power.
Did they honestly just forget that despite Megumi being broken over finding out Tsumiki's gone he still managed to interfere with Sukuna's cursed energy output? Definitely putting up a fight? Did they miss that Sukuna had to take a dip in the Bath of Evil just to further sink Megumi's soul to ensure he wouldn't be interfering as much? But even then, he still had to go and kill Tsumiki for further insurance. Like, this is a normal kid (as compared to a specially-made vessel) we're talking about. His body wasn't made to host Sukuna and yet even Sukuna recognizes that Megumi have the potential to suppress him as well. Heck, Megumi even surviving being possessed is already a miracle in and of itself. So I think in terms of will power and strength of the soul all of these ought to account for something.
I'm so sorry if I ranted. I've missed my boy and the odds of him being x'ed rising each chapter is making me bristle whenever I see people shitting on him (I really got to remove myself from the toxic spaces for a while). But onto my ask, on the possibility that Megumi's coming back, do you think he'll overcome Sukuna alone or will he get help? Personally I really want him to breakout on his own. That would be such a nice F U to Sukuna. And I want my boy to take back the mastery of the 10S. The recent chap leak (that I couldn't avoid for the life of me) revealing Sukuna's motives with the 10S and Maho gives me a bit of hope that Gege has yet to show us the full extent of this technique. And there's still Chimera Shadow Garden. I'd like to think Gege would be kind enough to give us a pay off for the deliberate progression of Megumi's character and abilities. Essentially another Origin of Blind Obedience pay off. Cause my boy deserve it so much 😭.
HOLA anon!
Preach.
Rant away anon. This is what jjk Confessions Sunday not on a Sunday is for 😂. Even if I disagree with some of what I am sent, I always try to make it a point to understand where others are coming from. Otherwise Squishy calls me out on it ;)
Onto your question under the cut...
So I totally get how bromantic it is for Yuji to save Megumi. I do. It's an absolutely beautiful statement about the love these two have for each other.
With my recent realization that jjk is about... dun dun dun... DEATH, came a deeper understanding about how Gege is executing on this theme.
What I mean by this is that Yuji, Megumi and Nobara (the entire cast, really) have a shared experience of what it is like to face death as part of their everyday experience.
I know, I am late to the party. I can be dense like that.
Anyways... I think it's important that we agree on what it means to face your mortality. Most especially if you are young.
Spoken from experience, when you are young, unless you have had a brush with death or some sort of debilitating illness, death isn't something you think will happen to you.
When you are young, death is some foreign concept that happens to others. Never you.
Now, I'm not necessarily advocating that people contemplate death, but, also spoken from experience, there is a paradoxical truth about death that deepens the experience of the self--and that is that becoming aware of your mortality, if approached with the right mindset, becomes an invitation to live life more fully and with more intention.
So I imagine Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, due to being the only 1st years, have developed a much deeper, unspoken bond than they would have with many of the other people in their lives.
That said, Megumi asking to be saved is such a desperate but beautiful expression of his vulnerability, which we hardly ever get to see by the way.
Not only that, it's bromantic af, mate! Ship or no ship, asking to be saved has deep implications on a soulful level.
To this point, Kiri by Monoral, the Ergo Proxy op, is one of my favorite songs ever because it captures the essence of love as a religious and aspirational experience in which someone asks to be saved.
But saved from what?
What does salvation even mean?
Come and save me
Tumblr media
I am kind of obsessed with this theme of redemption as of late because Gege is framing Sukuna as a religious figure redeeming and releasing characters from their existential woes.
Which is kind of what Megumi is asking of Yuji in asking to be saved.
Like in the lyrics to the song, Megumi is metaphorically saying "I need you to 'refill my place' and to 'complete my fate'. Come and save me".
He's saying "we're not heroes" but at the same time elevates Yuji to the role of one who can redeem.
It really is as simple as Megumi asking for help on a surface level, and as complex and deep as asking for salvation on a soulful level.
After all, as I said in a previous ask, when Megumi asked for salvation, he had recently learned Tsumiki has to take part in the Culling Game, meaning Megumi is likely feeling insecure and anxious.
"Come and save me, I am at the lowest I could ever be."
Now, I LOVE that Megumi is asking to be saved because, in doing so, he's showing character growth, you know, that one thing people say he doesn't have. For one, he's asking for help, and second, he's showing vulnerability, which I will never get tired of saying he normally suppresses.
So anyways, all of that to say that, the problem with this mentality is that, even if it means Megumi has grown, it absolves him of responsibility for himself.
He's basically saying "here you go Itadori, your character archetype is Pisces, the redeemer, so here are my existential burdens, go die on the cross for me".
Ok, not exactly. I am exaggerating to get a point across.
My point is that, in asking Yuji to save him, Megumi is absolving himself of the responsibility to develop the qualities he admires in Yuji or to acknowledge said qualities in himself.
Tumblr media
In retrospect, there's something about how Megumi having no qualms scoring 100 points is really about how he's willing to tarnish his soul and become irredeemable for the sake of saving Tsumiki.
And isn't it ironic that Megumi is on quest, just like a Knight, to uphold and protect the ideals of a Sleeping Beauty and yet he himself needs saving?
I am having a hard time verbalizing the paradox here, but Tsumiki's death is SO deeply symbolic.
idk, I don't feel like I'm doing this answer justice because I feel like I can go deeper with this because there's also something at the core of this idea about how Megumi is giving up on himself by waiting to be saved.
Tumblr media
Which is relatable af.
What I am trying to say is that if he gets saved in the sense that other people yank Sukuna out of him or wtv... then Megumi didn't learn his lesson, and that just means it is prone to happen again.
If Gege decides to go for the bromantic outcome, I am sure he'll show us the train of thought he took to get there. Maybe there is a way for Megumi to be saved AND for him to take responsibility for himself.
Whatever the case, like you dear anon, I need him to stop feeling sorry for himself, to stop doubting himself, to see himself as good enough, and to take back his agency and take back his life. Because in doing so, Megumi is taking responsibility for himself.
Something like that 😂.
Tumblr media
Thanks for the Megumi-love anon!

Propaganda for Penguin: "1 the stuffie is like as big as anya 2 anya looovveess 3 agent of Anya's spy agency 4 her parents play along when they play together (and one of them is usually Penguin)", "He’s so big and squishy looking! Who wouldn’t wanna hug him?"

Speaking of Warlock duos complimenting one another, each of the three pairs consists of a Warlock who is more of a ranged spellcaster, and another who is a lot more physical and hands-on. Majikus paired each Warlock like this, so they could cover one another and fulfill different niches as the situation calls for.
Viracious relies a lot on minions, controlling them from a distance as any tactician does; He has his bone puppets that enable him to attack while sealed away completely. His undead and serpents act as guards, as does the natural environment, particularly the earth they spawn from. If uncovered, Viracious casts ranged spells and his Basilisk eyes see far, as do their abilities; Viracious is otherwise a pretty squishy wizard, and his skeletal spindliness gives it away. But he has a trick up his sleeve, using the Pink Magestone to reanimate wounded limbs and even organs.
Kisonus tends to get up-close and personal with her natural claws, ability to transmute targets, and turning into creatures usually sicc’ed on others. She often has a smarter mind than said creatures to make full use of their abilities, and her transmutation can set up the environments they work best in, such as water. In her base form she’s naturally strong and vicious, and being up close is preferable too; She wants a taste of whatever she’s dealing with, not just to assimilate a sample to shapeshift into them, but for her own ravenous hunger as well. She wants people in her, can’t do that from a distance; That’s what victims are looking for!
Editaurus creates chimeras, directs them from any distance, needs time before and even during a battle to set them up; She casts classic lightning bolts and webs, and can conjure life in the surrounding environment. She’d prefer to be more creative, just making a rock monster feels so bare minimum and droll… But whichever. It can be many chimeras, or one huge one whose reach is far despite relying on melee. The wings on her ankles flutter rapidly, allowing Editaurus to hover quickly. Mind you, she’s still a capable physical fighter, herself; Her own body is a perfectly-designed chimera!
But compared to Megarus, Ed sticks to her relative niche; Megarus is a whole powerhouse, a super-fast beast even without the Orange Magestone. And that giant hammer he wields wreaks massive destruction. He’s always quick to close the gap and do things up-close and personal, which is where people fall before him thanks to Meg being proficient in melee combat and martial arts; His speed and precision can target weak points in bodies, and most witches are used to attacking from afar and relying on magic over their own flesh. Meg can use his Magestone to empower Editaurus’ chimeras, who fight for her. He’s a real whirlwind, conjuring literal ones to bring people closer, or to a chimera.
Narellus relies a lot on her Blue Magestone, being selectively intangible, and making other things selectively intangible, makes it easy to play it safe. She specializes in illusions that can dazzle and disorient, and mind trickery. Ironically, she can actually get close and personal herself, because her selective intangibility renders her unharmed as she reaches a target, turns part of their body intangible, and then tears through the vulnerable pieces left tangible. But a lot of the time, her grace gives way to being more of a manipulator from afar, and whatever parts of herself Narellus exposes are fragile to make up for how hard she is to hit.
Hydrownus gets his hands dirty, and bloody. His limbs can stretch due to being made of water, and being made of water makes him mostly immune to physical damage, with the Typhonus Motus protecting the internal tube and flask system Hyd relies on for stability, and to aid in funneling chemicals. He’s a master of different weapons, forming ice constructs around his staff; A giant club, a battle axe, a trident, etc. Hydrownus tears into his enemies, brutally tossing them around, burning and freezing or corroding; The worst is making the blood in your body concentrate in your head until it bursts. The pipes on his back can spew flames to propel Hyd forward as he forms ice skis to minimize friction; Sometimes a quick boost while jumping is all he needs.
And then there’s Majikus, all by herself; And she doesn’t need anybody. Because she can fight up-close and personal, crafting energy weapons and constructs, even her greatest spell turns her into an invincible, super-strong, super-fast flier. And as the strongest Warlock, the jack-of-all-trades, she has a wide variety of spells and blasts to attack at a distance with. She can be both.

i got to be a teacher/dungeon mentor today uwu i didnt know this day would come so early pls i’m still so lost in dungeons how did it end up being ME-
there was 1 first-timer, and i’m guessing two others that haven’t touched this dungeon in a long time
anyway that was all cool and fine and dandy and everyone was great and the run was a lil romp thru the park but we got to the end and i got to lvl 49
but also lmao
at the beginning of most dungeons, i’ve gotten into the habit of quickly glancing at everyone’s info just to see who’s new whenever i’m a healer/tank, and also bc i’m nosy asf, and now i just do it all the time regardless of the job i’m in
so at the start of this dungeon, tank says they’re new to tanking, healer has one other job leveled, and the other dps has a few jobs scattered around. so it’s like okay cool, someone else knows what they’re doing because 99% of the time i sure as hell dont LMAO
quickly realize we dont know what we’re doing. first room tank doesn’t realize to pull the second wave of mobs. i wanted to pull, i really, really wanted to pull for them, but i’m black mage and very squishy and i didnt want to be That player, but then i think he started running towards the dungeon start line and i was like “okay maybe i’ll just pull” but then i think they saw the mobs and pulled.
they went through the cavern levels of the dungeon, went down one of the false hallways, but i figured they wanted the loot so its all good, i just waited by the intersection and watched the 3 blue dots get to the end of that dungeon, pause, move around for a sec and then kinda uncertainly run back out.
and in that moment i realized “oh no, i’m the experienced one in the group D:” which is BAD because do you know how lost i get in dungeons? i get very lost. i rarely run pugs. the only saving grace is because i’d already run this particular dungeon like 3 times bc of roulette so the mechanics were refreshed for me. but like everytime i get Cutter’s Cry i cringe on the inside because i have like horrible memories of this dungeon, trying to do it by myself with the FC squadron and having a bad time b/c i didnt know how to get to the next level bc of all the shifting sands nonsense and the sandworm boss and also squadrons being... squadrons.
the first two bosses go fine, then we get to the third boss and i’m over here thinking like okay, i’m probably the most experienced here, i should probably just shoot a short message about the mechanics for this Chimera boss rq bc its a bitch to figure out independently lmao” b/c i’ve been silent the whole time b/c honestly the run has been going fine (ignoring the first 3 minutes of it), its a little slow but its not any slower than squadrons and theyre learning, and i’m learning black mage anyway and all the other runs have been gogogo so i didnt mind dawdling around /shrug
but then also social anxiety kicked in bc this means i have to SPEAK UP and TALK and DIRECT people but im like well whatever, if they know the mechanics and are annoyed at me then i’ll just take the ratio+L bc i’d rather not sit here and do this boss 300 times sooo -typetypetype send-
and they were super appreciative and i almost died during the second attempt of that fight bc i was trying to type and/or too focused on rotation so i’d miss the violet/blue calls and get scathed but it ended well and i got 3 comms and it seems like theyre all friends bc same FC so i hope they have a good day

"I'm sorry if it hurts Chi-Chi and Gohan, but please don't try and resurrect me. Besides, Gohan's a lot better person than I was..."
I think about this line a lot. It shows a lot of self awareness from Goku, y'know?
I have a lot of Goku feels, not all of them fandom-friendly. Twitter folks either bash him or defend him unto death, very black and white binary split-like, which makes it difficult to talk about in 140 characters or less. “Good” dad or “Bad” dad is subjective. But I think his actions -- and inactions -- had profound effects on his family and the world beyond, for good and for bad.
Lemme word vomit for a while and see if I can get something coherent out xD
I think he’s a fantastic shonen protagonist -- arguably the template!! -- and I love him as a character that steadfastly drives the story inexhaustibly forward, to stronger and stronger opponents, to ever more fantastic plotlines. But I personally Iike to take a magnifying glass to the small moments, the quiet moments; the breaths in between the panels. And in these moments, I think Goku is a fascinating chimera of a character: a patchwork man he stitched together through mimicry and good intentions and animal impulse.
He acts like a doofus and in many cases its genuine -- he practically self-raised himself in the wild after not just accidentally killing his grandpa, but also after suffering an actually plot-significant brain injury -- but he is no idiot. I think Goku knows he’s different and not just because he’s an alien with a regrowing tail.
Goku isn’t a normal human because he doesn’t connect like a normal human. He loves but it’s because he chooses to love. He’s loyal because he chooses to be loyal. It’s not sociopathy, but it is a kind of almost... autistic spectrum like inability? I hesitate to step on toes here, but I’m basically heavily projecting my own father -- who is himself a man with high functioning autism -- so that’s where I’m drawing my main inspiration.
Goku struggles immensely to understand people who are emotionally volatile. He defaults to humour and acting like he doesn’t get it just to defuse the situation, because otherwise it’s time to Fight and Goku never takes fights lightly, and that often doesn’t end well with squishy humans. He has a moral code but he doesn’t Regret like a normal person does upon causing injury, physical or emotional. He doesn’t empathize like an emotionally adept person can. He reads body language better than tone.
On the vein of being on the spectrum, or just surviving a brain injury, or just being a saiyan, or a combination of all three -- Goku’s special interest is Fighting. And that’s one of the sources of his family’s problems.
Before Raditz, Goku was content fighting in the World Tournament and marrying the world’s strongest woman, and raising a family with her. Farming to make money to support Chichi and Gohan was boring but it was a form of training if he squinted, and he was fine conforming to that. He looked forward to Gohan growing up enough to train him (remember him saying Chichi wouldn’t let him until Gohan got older), and there he’d have another sparing partner. How exciting! He can’t wait. Let’s go fishing, Gohan, I’ll show you how to use your tail just like I used to! Can you catch a bigger fish? I know you can! Isn’t this fun? Haha! I wonder if this is what Grandpa Gohan felt. I miss him. But Gohan’s here with me! Gosh, I can’t wait till I can teach him all I know!
But after Raditz, Goku was introduced to Strength Beyond Earth, and I believe that was the start of the death of Goku’s attachment to his humanity. Because humans had a limit, and the stars did not.
Goku’s not a bad person. He’s not a terrible father. But like a good shonen protagonist, he’s addicted to chasing strength, and the strength beyond even life itself ultimately called him to abandon his mortal coil (which we see culminate in GT’s ending).
It began by wanting to stay dead. He doesn’t want to hurt his family -- he genuinely doesn’t! -- so after surviving Namek’s destruction he preferred to keep them ignorant as he trained on Planet Yardrat, since what good would it do for them to know he lived if he didn’t plan on coming back yet? Then he mastered Instant Transmission!! How amazing! Now he can travel to and from any reaches of the vast universe; he can come home whenever he wants to. Now he doesn’t have to hurt his family AND he can fight whenever and wherever he wants! Wahoo!!
So he comes back to life. Aaaand life’s not the same. Chichi’s not the same -- she mourned his death and she’s still angry he lost her Gohan for a year, and then took him to space, and then he nearly died for it, too -- and Gohan’s not the same. He’s not four years old anymore. He’s not the wide-eyed kid who looked like his father had all the answers. Krillin’s gotten older.  Everyone has changed, even if just a little. Everyone but Goku.
(Except Goku HAS changed. There’s a whole universe to discover. There’s so much strength he can defeat, still. He looks up at the stars at night and feels for Yardrat’s ki. He feels so much ki everywhere up there. He wants to chase it all down. Is it because I’m a Saiyan? Or is it because I’m a bad person? Goku don’t know...but Goku longs for it. He longs for the peace he finds in letting go).
Future Trunk’s message that a heart illness will kill him politely confuses him. Goku doesn’t fear death -- he knows what’s beyond it, now. And there’s fighters there. Even if he dies, there will be people to fight. No worries. But he does worry about this nebulous future where all his loved ones are dead, too, all except Gohan. It sounds like his boy’s gonna have it rough if these android fellas win. Time to beat some androids! :D And hey, this is finally a good excuse to train with Gohan!! So he does that for a couple of years, teaming up with Piccolo. Gohan’s gotten so strong! How exciting!
Chichi’s slowly come ‘round to him again, so that’s nice, too. He doesn’t really get why she’s still so mad but he rolls with it. He responds to violence he can’t fight against with a smile. Her emotions are too hard to follow, and it can get a little tiresome. But he loves her -- he chose to love her, so he does, and he always will. In his own way.
Then the androids come, and then Cell comes, and Goku steals Gohan away for a day and a year inside the Chamber, and he finally, finally realizes -- gosh, Gohan’s not like him at all. Gohan’s what a Real Human should be. What a Real Hero should be. The hero the Earth needs. Because Goku can’t be that hero anymore -- he never could be. He’s not human.
And there’s so many people to fight beyond the stars....
So when Goku choses to die alongside Cell, it was a choice, too. Gohan’s a better person than him, anyway. He’ll make Chichi happy, and he’ll protect the earth, and maybe one day Goku’ll meet him again and they can spar to see their strengths :) He’s so proud of his boy....
So........ is Goku a good father? A bad father? A good person? A bad person?
I think Goku is Goku. So I’ll let you decide :)
(Here’s the canon Goku dialogue from the end of Cell saga: )

Got my comp set up at my inlaws so I am back on the net! Time to get into chimera variants! Buckle up this is an info dump below.
Chimera actually get their common name because they come in a LOT of different shapes once their society advances enough to discover magical body modification. Something that I’m going to have to make a few posts about but these are the ‘starting styles’ so to say. They are based off of different populations in Mirum who occupied different areas of the continent prior to chimera becoming one unified culture.
Coastal- These chimera are living the closest to the ancestral chimeric niche. They live in the island chains and Western/Southern coasts of Mirum, live in very small nomadic family groups. Most distinguishing features of them is the fact that their faceplate does not fully flatten out upon maturity, leaving them with a much wider field of view and a more streamlined body. They also have partially fused trunks, much wider splayed toes, and long thin teeth. These are the fellas built for a much more aquatic life, fast swimmers but a little clonky on land.
Plains- The stock standard. These are the most common ethnicity of chimera by a mile, populating the vast floodplains of the continents interior. They are lean and quick on their feet, with endurance equal to their speed. The majority of their diet still relies on the waterways around their settlements, but they don’t turn their nose up at fruit and veggies. Think of them as the transitional form, venturing into spending most of their time on land, but still very tied to the water. They live in large towns with many different families coming and going, sometimes far enough to run into the others!
Alpine- Short and stout, these fellas are pretty much the only variety of chimera able to inhabit Mirum’s Southern mountain chain. They are built for the cold, with much more bristled nostrils and bellows to keep out the chill and padded toes to help them climb their rocky home. These guys aren’t particularly fast but they really have no need to be for these are the only chimera that don’t regularly worry about predation, the largest carnivores in the mountains are terrestrial birds which very rarely target larger prey. Their main worry is food, they have moved off of fish to meat, leading to them going from actively hunting to more trapping and farming. They live in small towns with very few ever leaving aside from trading, but that’s not infallible.
Forest- From the forest/jungle covering the Eastern side of the continent come the largest of the chimera, these guys are tall and lean. By far the fastest yet quickest to tire, they’re the most magic reliant of the bunch. The classic squishy caster. They live a calm life and worry far more about Antlerworms than Histin, so they are able to be a bit more lax on their building construction. Their towns are small but known for large sprawling buildings, often built around and through some of the larger trees in their range. Again they have weaned off of fish somewhat, but still actively chase down their meat. For their greens they have taken to orchards within felled portions of forest.
That’s the basic ideas, but all of them have far more in common with each other than not. They all ‘speak’ the same ‘language’, recognize the same creator, and generally no issue with accepting others into their communities. As time goes on the boarders between them begin to blur until most chimera have a little of every background within them.

Why do all the things you draw look so huggable? How DO you do it? It's amazing!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not too sure myself, So may I interest you in a frog instead?
But to answer seriously I'm just very used to drawing soft shaped things and I can't really draw sharp looking things without it looking rounded in a way. And my style is like chimera of sorts when it comes to influences like a lot of the stuff I watched or seen had lot soft looks to it or were bendy yet also squishy looking, otherwise I just draw and do :0

What are your issues with S3 of Winx Club?
Okay, so. I am going to get long and ranty and annoyed overall on this post. I shouldn’t even have to preface this, half of the people that follow me have critical thinking skills I hope, but you can have whatever opinion on S3 and all the things I’m gonna touch on this post, I do not care and you should not either, live your life however the fuck you want yadda yadda yadda. Now:
The first thing that comes to mind is the pacing, and just how fucking terrible it is. Every single event takes so long and its so slow for the first 18-or-so episodes (a lot of situations really did not require two episodes), only to be suddenly kicked into high gear and have 7 different “final” battles one after another. It felt like it was just happening to end the season already and so they could keep working on SOTLK, and like I get you’re working on both and all but you COULD have afforded to at least PRETEND you gave a shit, Rainbow.
Next topic is Valtor, who is my absolute least favorite villain in the series, and yes, I am including the S5-S7 villains on this. This is where it’s not much a fault of the character itself (well. not ENTIRELY a fault of the character), but a fault of both the narrative and (and for this I am petty) the fanbase. Valtor, to me, is the most generic villain in the franchise, a different flavor than Darkar but by no means less bland - Valtor is your standard “hot” prettyboy villain who tries to charm the protagonist to his side with the empty promise of answers, and THAT COULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING... if the show ever bothered to do anything with it other than Valtor creeping on a senior highschool student for 26 episodes. Because it’s all a farce, there’s not an actual connection between them outside of Valtor feeding her lies about her retconned parent’s backstory (we’ll talk about this more later) and both of them having God’s power inside them. My second point on Valtor is that he singlehandedly ruined the Trix’s characterization to simply be your standard evil henchwomen that thirst after Valtor’s dick because truly they all have terrible taste in men, and nothing else, and it’s annoying as all fuck, ESPECIALLY when you compare the Trix as Darkar’s lackeys a season earlier, where they stayed mostly the same personality-wise and only allied with the Phoenix out of necessity and survival. And the worst part? Valtor doesn’t do shit in the season! Like, at all! He only ever gets Chimera, Cassandra and Diaspro on his side, blinds Aisha and that’s literally it as far as confrontations with the Winx go - outside of fighting them when they get the Water Stars and the three last battles, he spends most of the show’s time fucking around random planets getting weird magic and sitting broodily on a chair, and apparently this makes him a good villain???? Okay, sure.
And since I mentioned them, let’s get on the Water Stars for a bit, and while yes, this is the one part everyone agrees on that was weak as fuck, it still brings attention because WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT. All this time there was this antithetical force to the Dragon’s Flame, super-mega-ultra powerful little thingies that could douse the Flame’s power almost permanently, AND YOU ONLY BRING THEM TO ATTENTION NOW AGAINST VAMPIRE AESTHETIC. Do you have any idea how fucking useful they could have been against the Trix in S1???? If they had gotten the little squishy motherfuckers two seasons earlier the War of Magix would have been over quicker. And it’s not like Bloom would have been in much risk, she barely had any Flame left in her.
In a similar situation, we have Enchantix, which is my second most-hated form after Tynix for similar reasons. One, where in the fuck were all the Enchantix fairies during S1? Fairy Dust is supposed to be this OP magic, and could have also been very useful against the Army of Decay. Two, the way to earn Enchantix, for what is retroactively just the final base fairy form, is far too obtuse and complicated for the average fairy, not to mention incredibly limiting - you just have to hope someone from your realm is in a dangerous situation so you can fling yourself into danger and probably die, and all you get for it are some opera gloves and a pair of barefoot sandals. Like sure a super powerful magic upgrade also happens but still, it’s such a specific situation to find yourself in that it’s no wonder no one ever graduates Alfea, it’s literally borderline impossible unless you like traveling. My last point on the transformation, and this one is a bit YMMV, 3 of the 6 Winx did not actually earn Enchantix. Bloom counts for this, but it’s an actual plot point (though it was terribly handled) so I let it slide most of the time, but Musa and Tecna? Musa didn’t even get to sacrifice anything, she just suddenly got the form and that’s it, GALATEA was doing more of a sacrifice to let everyone leave the burning library without her than Musa was. Tecna also got Enchantix without saving anyone from Zenith, and before you even type it out, no, it was never said Tecna saved the entire universe by closing the Omega Portal. None of the three English dubs nor the original Italian ever say this. That’s entirely just fanon. I have headcanonned it away as “some of the prisoners were Zenithian” to justify it for myself, but overall it was very obviously just shoehorned in because as always, the writers don’t know what to do with Tecna.
“But Drops! What about Nabu???” I can already hear you type, and no, I do not like Nabu. I don’t hate him either, outside of the fact I reject the idea of Aisha being into men in any way, shape or form, but he is very much worshipped as the Golden Child in the fandom and I’m tired of it. You can see a better description on my feelings about Nabu (as well as how the fandom loves to demonize Sky for the shit he pulled in S1 but hold nothing against either Brandon or Nabu, who pulled the same shit) here.
There *is* a part of S3 I like, that being the Solaria Usurpation arc, but it’s the one sole thing that I legitimately enjoy in the season and I’m not gonna stick around the fuckton of episodes that interrupt the arc just for that.
But what I hate the most about S3, above all this, is how goddamn irrelevant it is. Outside of getting the Winx Enchantix, NOTHING about the season is remotely relevant lore-wise or plot-wise, and the show itself acknowledges this! Even SOTLK pretends S3 never happened and the girls just got Enchantix somehow! Because of the drive Rainbow had to end the franchise’s original arc with fancy shitty CGI, they ended up making the original last season of the show, what was supposed to be the best thing before the movie, into the biggest waste of time instead. You can really just watch the episodes each girl gets Enchantix and then the final episode and you wouldn’t miss anything at all.
So the TL;DR for all this is “I hate S3 because Valtor sucks, Enchantix sucks, the pacing is garbage and there’s really nothing nice in it outside of like 3 episodes”, and I refuse to rewatch it ever again.

14 for the NPC asks?
14. Most likely to be on a reality show?
I have a DMPC that I already feel like is on a reality show. In order to protect my party of squishy casters I created an absolute tank of a woman, with really high AC, Strength and Intelligence to compliment the low numbers from the three party members. But some of the things that happen to her are absolute cartoon levels of absurd.
The party disarms a fire breathing statue trap. They are here to gather treasure so maybe the statue is worth a lot? Why don't we take it with us? As the only party member who could conceivably lift the damn thing, Claire Umber my DMPC, has to decide 1, is this a good idea. And 2. Can she actually lift it.
She rolls a nat 1 on the int check to see if this is a good idea. So she is 100% on board for this plan. Then she rolls a nat20 str check to see if she could lift the statue. So in the crowning glory of absurd, because my players wanted a chimera statue, she rips the goddamn thing out of the floor and carries it out of the wizard tower. Absolutely Hog Wild.
DM Ask Game! NPC Addition!
