The friendship between these three is something so precious to me
Child of kamiari month is a delightful film, the final death of the fake God is something that got me hard on the feels man. It's about Kanna and how she continues on with her love for running even tho who introduced that love to her is no longer alive and how she copes with it.

Grief is a process - Watching Child of Kamiari Month
Despite all of its issues, Netflix continues to be a good (for lack of a better term and lack of alternatives) platform to discover anime. I must admit, I can’t remember when was the last time I was fully focused in watching anime — hell, I can’t even remember half of Spy x Family. Since I don’t have the energy for heavy action anime, I settled with a slice-of-life. At first, I just want to…

Child of Kamiari Month
I know I haven’t posted in a while but I’m picky with what I watch T-T
But as the title says, this is about Child of Kamiari Month!!
So I just randomly found it while looking on Netflix for something to watch!! It’s such a cute movie and I love the animation!!
I really love the dynamic between Kanna, Shiro and Yasha!! Especially Kanna and Yasha!! I love the enemies to friends who have complete faith in one another and I really feel like this movie shows that!!
Obviously I cried during it, but it honestly is cute and touching and you can understand Kanna’s feelings and why she reacted the way she did!!! I also love how the story kinda shows that the death of her mother affected everything in her life, and severely at that too. I feel like we don’t realize how something as big as that can affect even the little things in our lives. Things we normally wouldn’t notice change in.
10/10 Love it, but every show I write about has that rating T-T
Also apparently (of the view reviews I found) people didn’t like it cause it was boring and predictable. Which I can understand, but I think it’s a sweet movie. As well, I think the message is good!!! Like, life is always giving curveballs and sucky cards, but sometimes finding even one thing to help push you forwards helps!!
Sorry it’s short </3
(I still don’t know how to tag, and it didn’t help that none of the tags popped up. So I kinda had to make them? Idk)

Child of Kamiari Month (2021)
@saltwaterlakes submitted:
For Aro Movie Monday, Child of the Kamiari Month! It recently came out on Netflix and it centers on the themes of family, grief and friendship. The main charcter (Kanna)’s mother dies and about a year later she is given the role of Idaten, who has to gather food offerings for the gods of the Izumo region. There is no romance, asides from the main character’s parents, but even that’s not really mentioned much.

Takana Shirai (assistant animation director of Children of the Sea), who has a grandmother born in Shimane, serves as the director of Child of Kamiari Month, along with animation producer Tetsuro Satomi (Ninja Batman), storyboards by Tomomi Mochizuki (Ocean Waves), and character designers from Haruka Sagawa (Happy-Go-Lucky Days).
The film's story focuses on Kanna (CV: Aju Makita), a girl who can no longer face her beloved "running" after her mother's passing. One day, a rabbit named Shiro (Maaya Sakamoto), who is a shinshi (a messenger of gods), and a boy named Yasha (Miyu Irino), an oni (ogre) boy, appear at her. Kanna crosses the boundary between people and gods, and is invited into Izumo.
The inspiration for the film comes from Kamiarizuki (the month when there are gods), which is another name for October in the lunar calendar in the old Izumo region (now Shimane prefecture). The tale pulls from the mythology that gods from all over Japan gather at the Izumo Taisha Shrine during Kamiarizauki. In the other areas in Japan, it is called Kannazuki (the month when there are no gods).

1st of July 2022 Friday
Hello there dear World. Yesterday was really nice day in a specific way. I finally had a sleep over with my best friend at my home. Earlier at the same day we were both a little grumpy because of some misunderstandings but when we got some pizza before us and Man vs. Bee rolling from Netflix, we got into better mood. We watched couple of episodes of it and then the anime movie named "Child of Kamiari Month". Man vs. Bee was Rowan Atkinson quality fun and the anime movie was good enough that my friend didn't feel like doing anything else at the same time even that he planned to at first.
My friend fell asleep before me. I was wise enough to check if my school account still works with adobe apps even that it's summer holiday and I think I haven't changed my password often enough. I found out that I can still access those apps and was so happy that I tried to learn how to animate until I started to feel too sleepy for it.
Currently I am thinking that I want to add some kind of animations to the Finnish versions of my poems and try to promote them that way on TikTok. So in the future I think I will actually focus on animating and publish new material here when I have actually managed to learn something. For now I will just post some pieces that are older but still pretty.
Tumblr media
I pretty much think this one is not photographed by me but by one of my relatives but it's pretty and I said it isn't mine so I guess my relative doesn't mind. It's from our cottage lake.

The Child of Kamiari Month is the Owner of a Lonely Heart
The Child of Kamiari Month is the Owner of a Lonely Heart. #moviereview #anime on #netflix #fantasy #shinto
Available on Netflix Kanna doesn’t want to be a messenger of the gods anymore in the animated movie Child of Kamiari Month (神在月のこども). She just wants her mother back, and the Japanese gods she’s supposed to help aren’t all that kind in giving this 12-year-old girl her Okasan back. They’re getting ready to party because it’s Kannazuki time. It’s a celebration where the gods don’t interact with the…

I miss watching Natsume’s Book of Friends, but I don’t hugely want to go back and watch the whole thing atm (6 series and 2 films, I don’t have even the brainpower for a couple episodes today) so I’m watching “Child of Kamiari Month” on netflix
I’m not quite half through, but it’s good so far
