Steve looking up at Uncle Wayne as the father figure he never had. Unlike his dad, he doesn’t cheat or disappear from his life when things get tough. Eddie loves it because it means he can see his boyfriend even more. It’s all fun and games until Steve goes to his father figure to complain about his boyfriend leaving him at a McDonald’s after a fight they had. Then Eddie has to deal with an upset boyfriend, a disappointed uncle, and an angry Robin to boot.
He has no choice but to take desperate measures. Eddie tells Hopper that Wayne is trying to take his “cool dad” spot in the Party and watches the chaos unfold.
By time anyone realizes what he’s done, he’s made up with Steve and escapes another murderous rage by the skin of his teeth. Mission accomplished, indeed.
Should I make this into a longer fic? I feel like I could go places with this lol
My disappointment was immeasurable when i realized there was a canon humanformers TF:Animated episode, and the human designs were just this:
THIS WAS SUCH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY! THEY ARE SO BORING! So i took it upon myself to redraw it. 😌
I know Prowl wasn’t in this scene, but i wanted an excuse to draw him anyway. He’s silly and i love him.
I tried to push the scale a little bit too, because i imagine the team would be feeling pretty small in a medbay built for cybertronians. Imagine Ratchet is standing on something out of the shot.
I have a formal complaint, as one of the chief officers of the Tommy Kinard Defense Club.
All of this rhetoric about his attitude towards Evan and the deadpanning and all, especially in relation to the medal ceremony... I feel like there isn't any kind of consideration being made for the fact that they're at work. If Tommy was any other person, these arguments would not be made in the slightest. God damn, if this was TK and Carlos it would be "oh. They're at work. They're being professional." Not to mention, this ceremony is being done in a place that very likely holds some level of trauma for Tommy. Being in that building means/used to mean pretending to be someone else. Now idk about yall, but when I had to go work in the town I moved out of that was nothing ~but trauma a few years back, I panicked about it for days. I refuse to believe that if we're talking about well-rounded characters, that Tommy didn't deal with something similar. I mean, let's examine the triggers:
-Old job location where you were expected to fake everything about your lifestyle
-old boss is there who has seniority over you and is verbally abusive
-your boyfriend is also there, and while he may know some things, he probably still doesn't have the full story
But I'm not finished! The deadpan attitude. The amount of shit I've read about how that makes him a crappy person/boyfriend because that's just how he is...
Except, we have multiple scenes with BuckTommy where we've seen clearly that that is in fact not his whole personality. Further, some people are just naturally sarcastic and have deadpan attitudes by nature (yours truly, for example). I also know other men personally who have very similar attitudes/personalities. And guess what? They're married. (This is not me insinuating BuckTommy endgame. Just that who Tommy is as a person and a character doesn't make him a bad mate).
