After doing that 'top posts of 2023' or w/e post from yesterday I was asking myself what my absolute favorite moment was from Lucky Girl
I can usually tell by looking at the stats what are the most popular chapters (the ones with sex - nobody is surprised that y'all are coming back to re-read those 2/3 times each lmao I see you) and this one is up there.
I was so happy with it when it was completed, because I thought it caught Evie and Jude at their best and most themselves in the whole thing - those moments where she's worried about asking him for what she wants for fear that he'll get too excited and intense, and him trying to hold himself back for fear of overwhelming her. Both knowing each other well enough by now, while doing this silly little dance around each other instead of just admitting what they want. - They're still doing this in the epilogue. They've learned to be indirect with one another in their relationship and they know that they'll always have to do this little dance with one another to make things work.
Anyway, you've guessed it, it's 3.16 - the Arcade chapter <3
Tumblr media
“Good game, Evie.” He concedes, after a long, anguished pause. “But I’m not playing against you again.”
“Good. I absolutely hate your play style, and you’re a sore winner.”
“From now on we should only team up”
“I agree, we’d be horrible and unstoppable.”
“Do you still fancy me after witnessing me at my worst and most toxic?”
I grin. “If that’s you at your most toxic then I think I fancy you more, actually.” I push past him towards an old jukebox by the wall. “Which probably says something about me, I don’t know. Maybe I should be psychologically assessed.”
“For liking bad boys?”
I snicker. “You think you’re a bad boy?”
“I think that you think I’m a bad boy.”
“No, I think you’re very sweet and kind and quite soft, actually.” I dig around in my pocket for a spare coin or two. “Sorry.”
Tumblr media
He leans against the wall next to me like a quarterback against some cheerleader’s locker in a high school film, and it shouldn’t make me feel girlish and shy, but it does. My whole body tingles even though he’s not even touching against me. “Is that really what you think?”
“Are you flattered or insulted?”
“Well I’m flattered. I think that about you too, coincidentally.”
“Pick a song.” I tell him. “Let’s see if this thing even works.”
“Give me the old classic, Surfin’ in the UK.”
“What?” I chuckle. “I think you’ve got that wrong.”
Tumblr media
“No, look.” He points to the song selection at the front and I run my eyes down the most egregious list of knock off hits I’ve ever seen. There’s Hotel Florida, Puppy Dog, Nine Days a Week, Free Tumblin’, and somewhere near the middle is Surfin’ in the UK. “This is ridiculous.” I say as I hit the button and the speakers crackle to life. “Why don’t they just get the real songs?”
“Cheap,” Jude explains, and bobs his head as though he’s enjoying the strange song that almost, almost sounds like the Beach Boys, only for its weird, tuneless melody that never quite progresses to the expected or most obvious chord.
Tumblr media
“My God, this is awful,” I say, and he’s already doing a silly little shuffle dance across the worn out carpet. “What are you talking about? It’s a certified banger,” He reaches out his hand to me and sings in falsetto “And all the blokes are surfin’, surfin’ in the UK.”
“Don’t make me dance to this.”
“What? Nobody is watching.” He takes my hands in his while I laugh, and he laughs too, because it’s just funny. There’s always something funny about being together, even when I know that everyone else would think we’re being stupid, but when I’m around him I always feel just a little less embarrassed of myself. The same kind of childish, light headed giggliness I get when I breathe helium from a balloon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The arcade machines and the neon on the walls blink and flash bright colours against his skin and his sleek, glossy dark hair, and everything is noise, light and sensation. Beeps and bings and 8 bit graphics and electronic chip music, all blend discordantly with the tinny music from the jukebox, but when he holds my waist and kisses me slowly everything else fades away.
My body surrenders to him immediately, but this is what he does to me. This is why I feel afraid of the ways that I feel, because with him, as with nobody else, I feel like I can understand better why people do insane things for sex. How a person can just forget where they are and do it wildly and indiscriminately in cars or public bathrooms or in other kinds of places that used to make me feel confused and disgusted. I always knew, as I know right now, that it wouldn’t take much convincing on his part to get me out of my jeans.
Lucky Girl, 3.16

Name: TigerPhant
Release Date: Not even a slight Idea
Date of adoption: Around 2007
Brand: Bananas*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy was my first anxiety pal, he is hand sized so was able to take him to primary school a few times because he'd fit in small places. I even wanted to paint him once for a kids art show one time but they didn't let me because 'they aren't real' like bro its a kids art show, let us have fun! So I just drew a weird looking Tiger and called it a day. I still have that painting tho cos it's so silly and cute. T-phant is supposed to have a light blue ribbon on because that's what i put on him originally so the green still bothers me, it was originally a bluenose gel bracelet bug being gel, it broke over 2 years and i was extremely upset. But the green is still cute. Also he is my pfp but it is supposed to be a temporary thing as it'll be replaced when I can find a better picture of my most dear to my heart toys, i love him very much tho so he might stay a while
*I can not find anything on this brand but I do know that I love them so so SO much. They're a toy brand that, at least in the UK, fill up alllll the cheap claw machines and prize every time machines. They smell awful at first but you can't really smell it over all the smells of old coins and dirty arcade carpet, then once you get back to the van, it all just smells like caravan chemicals so, you know.

Swift may be 34 years old, but intellectually, philosophically, and emotionally, she is forever stuck at 13. Her discography will never improve, only regress. Doesn't 'tortured poetry' say it all? It's an adolescent's idea of deep thoughts, the cover art equally cringe: Taylor in her underwear, writhing, one arm around her breasts and a hand above her crotch, as if this connotes — finally! — romantic and sexual maturity. Same with dropping 'f***' repeatedly on 'TTPD'. Courtney Love has it right. 'Taylor Swift is not important,' Love told the UK's Evening Standard last week. 'She might be a safe space for girls, and she's probably the Madonna of now, but she's not interesting as an artist.' Hallelujah! The backlash is brewing. While American press remains far too timid, NME gave 'TTPD' three out of five stars, calling it 'devoid of any noticeable stylistic shift or evolution', with laughable lyrics about Charlie Puth and 'a tattooed Golden Retriever'. This, from 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart': 'I'm so miserable / And nobody even knows.' That sentiment should solely be the purview of teenage girls. What really stopped me dead was the eponymous second track. Judge for yourself. 'You're not Dylan Thomas / I'm not Patti Smith,' Swift sings. No kidding. 'This ain't the Chelsea Hotel / We're modern idiots'. Such lyrics evince a glancing knowledge of a bygone counterculture, referencing artists and locales far more original, thought-provoking, confrontational and expansive than Swift could ever hope to be. It's cheap name-checking. It makes Swift look like everything she purports to hate: A try-hard, a phony, a girl who would do anything to be cool. Does anyone really think Taylor Swift has read 'Just Kids'? If so, she'd know Patti Smith was muse to Robert Mapplethorpe, and that Dylan Thomas, some 30 years Smith's senior, never lived at the Chelsea. This is what we call a fraud. Swift has zero edge. She has no interests outside her hermetic world of studio sessions with producer Jack Antonoff, dinners with Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid at Via Carota, and the next love interest she'll flog in the public square. She is cliché after cliché after cliché, the epitome of basic, and the worst thing someone this famous can be: a bore.

Transform Your Kitchen with Stylish Floor Tiles: A Complete Guide
The kitchen is often regarded as the heart of the home, where family and friends gather to cook, eat, and share stories. One of the most essential elements of any kitchen design is the flooring. Choosing the right kitchen floor tiles can dramatically transform the space, enhancing both its aesthetics and functionality. In this blog, we’ll explore the benefits of using floor tiles in your kitchen, popular options, and tips for selecting and installing the perfect tiles.
Tumblr media
Why Choose Kitchen Floor Tiles?
Durability: Kitchen floor tiles are designed to withstand heavy foot traffic, spills, and the wear and tear of everyday life. They’re typically more durable than other flooring options, such as carpet or laminate.
Easy Maintenance: Floor tiles are easy to clean and maintain, making them ideal for busy kitchens. Most tiles can be wiped down quickly, and many are resistant to stains and moisture.
Variety of Styles: With an extensive range of designs, colors, and textures available, you can easily find kitchen tiles that complement your kitchen’s overall aesthetic. From sleek and modern to rustic and traditional, there’s a tile for every style.
Temperature Regulation: Tiles can help keep your kitchen cool in warmer months, making them a comfortable choice for hot climates. In colder seasons, you can pair them with underfloor heating for added comfort.
Value Addition: Installing quality floor tiles can increase the value of your home. Potential buyers often appreciate the durability and aesthetic appeal of tiled floors, making your property more attractive.
Popular Options for Kitchen Floor Tiles
Ceramic Tiles: One of the most popular choices, ceramic tiles are durable, water-resistant, and available in countless colors and patterns. They can mimic the look of natural stone or wood, providing versatility in design.
Porcelain Tiles: Slightly denser than ceramic, porcelain tiles are extremely durable and moisture-resistant. They’re perfect for kitchens, especially in high-traffic areas. Their ability to replicate natural materials adds to their appeal.
Vinyl Tiles: If you’re looking for an affordable option, vinyl tiles can be a great choice. They come in various styles and are comfortable underfoot, making them ideal for long cooking sessions.
Natural Stone Tiles: For a luxurious touch, consider natural stone tiles such as marble, slate, or granite. While they may require more maintenance, their beauty and uniqueness can enhance your kitchen’s overall look.
Mosaic Tiles: These small tiles can add a unique flair to your kitchen. They’re perfect for creating intricate designs or using as a backsplash, allowing you to incorporate color and texture creatively.
Tips for Choosing the Right Kitchen Floor Tiles
Consider the Style: Think about the overall design of your kitchen. Do you prefer a modern, minimalist look, or something more rustic? Your choice of tiles should complement your cabinetry and countertops.
Choose the Right Size: Larger tiles can make a small kitchen feel more spacious, while smaller tiles can add intricate detail. Consider the scale of your kitchen when selecting tile sizes.
Opt for Slip Resistance: Safety is crucial in a kitchen. Look for tiles with a textured surface to reduce the risk of slipping, especially in areas prone to spills.
Color and Pattern: Darker colors can hide stains and dirt better than lighter shades, but they may make a small kitchen feel smaller. Consider how color affects the overall ambiance of your space.
Budget Considerations: While there are many options for cheap tiles UK, it’s essential to balance cost with quality. Investing a bit more in durable tiles can save you money in the long run.
Installation Tips for Kitchen Floor Tiles
Prepare the Surface: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level before installation. This helps prevent future issues with cracking or unevenness.
Plan Your Layout: Before applying adhesive, lay out your tiles to visualize the final design. This can help you make necessary adjustments for symmetry and aesthetics.
Use Quality Adhesive: Invest in a good adhesive to ensure your tiles stick properly and withstand wear over time.
Grouting: Pay attention to grouting, as it can significantly impact the appearance and durability of your tiled floor. Choose a grout that complements your tiles and seal it to protect against moisture.
Allow for Expansion: Remember to leave small gaps for expansion around the edges of the tiles. This helps prevent cracking due to temperature changes.
Conclusion
Choosing the right kitchen floor tiles can elevate your kitchen’s style and functionality, making it a welcoming space for cooking and entertaining. With a variety of options available, including cheap tiles , you can find the perfect tiles to suit your taste and budget. Whether you opt for ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone, the right choice will enhance your kitchen’s appeal and durability.

Choosing the Perfect Tiles for Your Living Room Floor
Selecting the right tiles for the living room floor is essential for creating a stylish and functional space that reflects your personal taste. With various materials, designs, and colors available, floor tiles can significantly enhance the ambiance of your living area while ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. In this blog, we’ll explore the benefits of choosing tiles for your living room floor, how they can complement your living room wall tiles, and where to find cheap tiles UK.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Tiles for Your Living Room Floor
1. Durability and Longevity
Tiles for the living room floor are known for their durability. Unlike carpets or hardwood, tiles are resistant to scratches, stains, and moisture, making them ideal for high-traffic areas. This durability ensures that your living room maintains its beauty and functionality over time.
2. Easy Maintenance
One of the standout features of tiles is their low maintenance requirements. A simple sweep and mop are usually all that’s needed to keep your floors looking fresh. Many tiles are also resistant to spills, making them a practical choice for families and pet owners.
3. Versatile Design Options
With a wide range of floor tiles available, you can easily find options that match your decor style. Whether you prefer the sleek look of porcelain, the rustic charm of ceramic, or the natural beauty of stone, tiles can enhance the overall aesthetic of your living room.
Popular Types of Tiles for Living Room Floors
1. Ceramic Tiles
Ceramic tiles are a popular choice for living rooms due to their affordability and versatility. They come in various designs, colors, and finishes, allowing you to create a unique look. Ceramic tiles are also easy to install and maintain, making them a favorite among homeowners.
2. Porcelain Tiles
Porcelain tiles offer a more refined appearance and are denser than ceramic tiles, providing enhanced durability. They are resistant to moisture and scratches, making them suitable for high-traffic areas. With many options that mimic natural stone, porcelain tiles can add a touch of elegance to your living room.
3. Vinyl Tiles
For those on a budget, vinyl tiles are an excellent alternative. They are available in a wide variety of designs, including options that mimic more expensive materials like hardwood or stone. Vinyl tiles are soft underfoot, easy to install, and perfect for achieving a stylish look without overspending.
Coordinating with Living Room Wall Tiles
When choosing tiles for the living room floor, it’s important to consider how they will coordinate with your living room wall tiles. Here are some tips for creating a harmonious look:
1. Color Coordination
Select floor tiles that complement the colors of your wall tiles. If your walls feature bold patterns or colors, opt for neutral floor tiles to create balance. Conversely, if your walls are more subdued, you can introduce bolder floor tiles for a striking contrast.
2. Texture Variation
Mixing textures can add depth and interest to your living room design. If your wall tiles are smooth and glossy, consider using textured floor tiles for contrast, or vice versa. This interplay of textures creates a dynamic and inviting space.
3. Pattern Play
Feel free to experiment with patterns! A patterned floor tile can create visual interest when paired with solid wall tiles. Just ensure that the styles complement each other to maintain a cohesive look throughout the space.
Finding Affordable Options: Cheap Tiles in the UK
If you’re looking for cheap tiles in the UK, you can find plenty of stylish options that fit your budget. Many retailers offer a variety of tiles for the living room floor that are both attractive and affordable.
Where to Shop
Check out local tile shops, home improvement stores, and online retailers for great deals on living room tiles. Look for clearance sections, seasonal sales, and online discounts. Customer reviews can also help you find durable options that suit your style and budget.
Conclusion
Choosing the right tiles for the living room floor is crucial for creating a beautiful and functional space. With a variety of durable, easy-to-maintain, and aesthetically pleasing options available, you can find the perfect tiles to complement your living room wall tiles.

Slow Fashion & Social Media
Week 6
Slow fashion is all about wearing clothes that are produced and bought in a way that is environmentally friendly and that also considers fair working conditions of the people who were involved in the process (Swinburne, n.d.).
Instead of many cheap clothes made in rush and which could damage nature through their production, slow fashion deals with buying fewer clothes but the ones which were made to be sustainable (Swinburne, n.d.). It literally means purchasing apparel that was made in a manner that's not harmful to the environment but, also to those who made them.
Tumblr media
Thereby, the idea is to replace lots of inexpensive clothes that you only wear for a couple of times with clothes that you really loved and will wear for the longest time. It's the act of doing more of conscious and ethical shopping!
Of course, slow fashion aligns with the values of digital citizenship (Swinburne, n.d.). Both digital citizenship and the slow fashion movement emphasize the importance of ethical behavior and respect, whether online or offline. Digital citizenship encourages people to be responsible, respectful, and considerate in their online interactions, while the slow fashion movement promotes respect for the environment, workers' rights, and fair trade practices.
Tumblr media
For example, “The People Tree” (About us, n.d.). The collection for People Tree is aimed at bringing fair trade and organic fashion to the 16-24 age group. Much of the range uses organic and fairly traded cotton. The clothes are made entirely by hand by fair trade groups using weaving, knitting and embroidery, helping to create livelihoods for disadvantaged groups in Bangladesh, India and Nepal (Holmes, 2009).
Tumblr media
Have you heard before green carpet challenge? Emma Watson recently became part of the “Green Carpet Challenge” (Cave, 2015),  a project that encourages a green, sustainable carpet rather than the conventional red carpet. She only wore outfits, along with the other stars at the Green Carpet Challenge, made by designers who use (KARMALI, 2016):
No fur
No chemicals
Materials that are good for the environment

Day 2 Lisbon to Portimão by train
Today I headed by train to Portimão, home for the next 5 weeks. Luckily the station wasn't too far from my hotel, but I left in plenty of time to navigate public transport in a foreign country. There was a bit of confusion amongst the tourists at the station about where to stand for our assigned carriages. An older gentleman tried to scam a few of us by suggesting he could assist! It was so obvious though, as he encouraged us to individually follow him away from the crowd and then offered to help with the suitcase in exchange for money. I saw him do this several times. Not sure if he got "lucky"! The trip was 4 hours with a change in Tunes to a very crowded local Algarve train. And it's only April! At the end of the first leg I got chatting to a Portugese woman who now lives in the UK, but has a second house in Coimbra. She was on her way to Faro to meet her husband for 2 days as he'd flown from Faro back to the UK for €13 each way, OMG, this continues to make me very envious of the very cheap travel on this side of the world! Anyway, Lourdes hurriedly gave me her phone number, trying hard to remember it, before I had to jump off the train. I'll see if she got it when I attempt to make contact in a few weeks when I'm in Coimbra.
I made contact with the Portimão apartment owner who offered to send an Uber and the driver also happened to be the woman who could let me into the apartment! The ride was cheaper than the online option anyway, of course I jumped at it. She did say Cátia would be driving a white Tesla and she is bold! Cátia was very cool, in her own way, with her Sinéad O'Connor hairstyle, matching ribbed cream outfit and portunglês (kind of the equivalent of Spanglish!). Cátia is a real estate agent as well as property manager, uber driver, mum to two children and three dogs and I forgot how many cats. Her husband is allergic to the animals LOL! She used to live in the apartment block where I'm staying but they decided to buy land near Silves and are saving to buy more properties so they are living in a caravan. I think I understood all this correctly. Cátia did say that the value of a now 2 bedroom apartment (the owner remodelled from 1 bedroom) she has for sale in Praia da Rocha, one block from the beach, has increased in value by €20,000 in one year. I think it's selling for €170,000. Tempted?
She was kind enough to show me the location of the local supermarket, Coviran (about the size of a small IGA) which is less than 5 minutes walk from me. I'm very happy with the apartment, even though the building looks like a social housing complex by Australian standards, but the style is not uncommon from what I can tell so far. After quickly unpacking, I got some essentials from the supermarket, including a bottle of 2017 Aragonez syrah from the southern Portugal Esporão Estate for €5.99. I'll try that later in the week. The prices are affordable.
I then decided to shake off all the sitting down and get my running gear on, not sure if I would actually run after the step count yesterday, but I did. And despite the pain in my legs, the experience was amazing. The scene was so typical of what I've seen in many movies when english speaking tourists have a summer getaway in Europe. I'll let the pictures speak for what I saw. I could have taken many more shots but conscious I wanted to run and there'd be plenty of time for walking and photos. There seems to be a big volleyball tournament at the beach but so far this popular tourist destination is not heaving with tourists....perfeita!
It's a little cooler down south, the heaters went on and so did the coat I borrowed from my friend Lesley.
A quick shower and a walk to my pre-booked dinner, via the Fork app, at Allgarbe. I noticed a larger supermarket on the way, which seemed to have a very busy cafe/eatery inside (I'll check this out tomorrow). I also noticed the blue carpet lining some streets, it's one way to deal with the slippery cobblestones (apparently laid to demonstrate Portugal's wealth!) When I walked into the restaurant there was a bellydancing show and the waiter asked if I'd like to sit so I could watch the show, which continued through dinner. The website does say the restaurant is a fusion of flavours and traditions, not sure I spotted much middle eastern influence on the menu. I saw a bellydancer at a restaurant in Lisbon, is this a thing? It may be the influence of being close to Morocco I'm not sure, or maybe it's a coincidence and just a mindless piece of information. It was hard to decide which fresh seafood to order, the waiter showed me three kinds of local options and I chose the bica which came grilled, with a really fresh salad and jack potatoes and a lovely rose recommended by the waiter. He was very happy to chat to me about the local wineries and recommended I visit the wine region near Coimbra (I've added this to my long list).

How to Find a Floor Fitter
Are you planning to get a new floor fitted?
If so, you need to consider the installation process, as the floor fitter you choose is equally as important as the floor you opt for. After all, what’s the point of investing in a high-quality floor if it is not installed correctly?
Choosing the right floor fitter can be a hard task, as there are so many flooring contractors across the UK, making it difficult to narrow down your options. To help you make the right decision, take a look at our advice on choosing the right floor fitter for your home.
5 Tips on How to Choose the Right Floor Fitter
To find the right floor fitter for you, take a look at the following tips which will help you hire the right person or company for the job.
Ask for Recommendations
Floor fitting is a fairly common job, so the best way to find the right floor fitter is to ask around to see if any of your family members, friends or neighbours have hired a trustworthy and reliable tradesperson.
Hiring a floor fitted based on a recommendation will offer complete reassurance that your floor will be installed correctly by a qualified professional.
Look at Customer Reviews
The next best thing to a recommendation is hiring a floor fitted who has received excellent customer feedback. You can typically find customer reviews by looking at the company’s website testimonials or social media comments.
By looking at previous customer feedback, you will be able to get a better understanding of how a floor fitter works and even the type of flooring they specialise in, such as wooden flooring.
Request Images of Previous Work
To ensure the floor fitter you choose is competent, you can ask for photographs of their previous work. They may direct you to their website or social media pages where you will find images of their floor installations.
This will also help you if you are stuck for flooring inspiration, as professional floor fitters tend to have samples of their work that can be matched up to your existing decor. This could include anything from laminate flooring to LVT vinyl flooring.
Check their Credentials
Another great way to ensure the person or company you are hiring is reliable is to check their qualifications. Floor fitting companies typically list trade associations on their websites, such as FITA (Flooring Industry Training Association) or NICF (National Institute of Carpet and Floor layers)
Compare Multiple Quotes
To avoid paying over the odds for a job, you should try to get at least three quotes from different floor fitters. This will give you a better understanding of the average costs of flooring installation, while also helping you work out who is offering questionably low or high-cost services.
Try to avoid going for the lowest quote, as cheap can sometimes mean low quality work. Instead, you should opt for a floor fitter that offers a fair price, with evidence to back up the cost.
Final Thoughts on Finding a Floor Fitter
When choosing a floor fitter, it is important that you consider all of the above factors before making a final decision. You should try to avoid choosing a floor fitter based on the price alone, as this could end up costing you more later on. Instead, you need to take everything into account and then decide who offers the best service in line with your budget and preferences.

When I started making tails, I didn't want anything too complex or expensive, just something that can fund itself and quick to make alongside university and my job and later on alongside my full time job.
Tumblr media
The fur I chose was because there was hardly any choice in 2014 and most was priced out of my budget. Fun fur actually wasn't as bad as most complained it was, sure if you could afford better or even had the option of getting better furs, then always get better. It was thin and wispy and looked rubbish if you shaved it down too much. The short fur option was even worse looking. But once brushed, it actually looked and moved nicely. The wispy fur looked nice, it was a simple cheap tail for those who couldn't or didn't want to afford better.
Tumblr media
And for ages, I was content with using it. I did want to use better furs, but there wasn't really a drive, money or confidence in my skills to do so. I made some ears a few times, but never felt satisfied by them. And I really didn't know what alternatives would've matched since I'd just want the same just in better furs. That didn't really exist in the UK at that point or some colours did but others didn't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eventually Brexit and lockdown happened, and then I noticed the quality of the furs drop but the price going up. It became a mystery order where the fur I ordered could be the usual or slightly worse quality fur, or it would be the worst quality fur. Really, I should've returned it when I got the worst quality in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I still had scraps from ages back, so you can see how the quality slightly drops, then plummets. The darker the back with less white, the thicker the fur with fun fur, especially the dark colours. In image 2 you can see the parting is wider and clearer between the two. The last image has 3 separate scraps. 1 and 2 are very similar and still good enough that I can overlook It's not as silky or as thick. 3 however... it feels wire like, coarse and the hair is thinner, shorter and curls when not brushed.
So once I realised all the places I could buy it from could send me this type of fur, I decided to actually sit down and do research. Check my stock, make them up and sell them. Thankfully, a lot of the furs I couldn't get in the past are more available, so I can pretty much match my best-selling colours. Sadly, it's a LOT more expensive. However, I may expand to more colours than the few 'natural' ones. And I'll have to be more on the ball with stock the shop I've decided to buy from changes their furs often and sometimes have limited edition furs which are very tempting.
One example is; I got some fur to do one tail thinking this was the type I was going forward with... then when looking at the other options realised it was now GONE. The link is dead. All I can hope is more come in and go with a different option which actually might be better as it looks more wispy.

This is much better fur, but this has also dropped in quality, because over 5 years ago I bought some shag blue from the same place, and the difference is night and day. The blue is literally like a thick shag carpet, while the new shag looks and feels nice, it's clearly thinner.

So, once I get some old tails sold, I'll use up the new furs I bought and see how it goes. And some old furs I've kept hold of and now don't exist that I can find. :3

More info and photos once I've done these sets, likely won't make it for Halloween, sadly.

I had a dream last night what I had 20+ years ago last time so I didn't know the characters back then because they still didn't exist here on Earth or if they did, I had no knowledge of them. I recognized them now.
In the dream I was in this small and weird fitting room (open closet with a dark green curtain and black furry carpet) in some underground place. My sister was with me there and my friend from middle school time. I was supposed to get married there (with who? I don't know) and I only had the bottom part of my red-white mermaid wedding dress (the one I want in real life). Tho, I have no idea why it had been cut in half in two separated parts!
I spoke with my sister and she said that I have time until new Venom movie ends because people, as well as our UK friend who was there to help us, were going to see it first and then come to my wedding. There was small but tall building (sky scraper) with neon lights and huge speaker which announced things. Venom movie was beginning and people rushed in the movie theater which was in another area near by.
I now told my sister I don't have my hair done, I don't have the top part of my dress either so I suggested I could get white T-shirt, cut it's sleeves off and tie the upper part behind my neck. I also said I could get red silky scarf or something on my shoulders to somehow match the bottom part. She liked the idea. My friend now said she could do my hair, because she knew how, if she would get curler. So, we headed in this near by "second hand shop" / cheap tiny store. My friend instantly noticed tiny sharpener, taking it, my sister found stickers etc. stuff but I didn't find shirt or anything else I could use (since I didn't want to use my regular shirt with the wedding dress bottom).
Then I noticed keychains hanging on one low shelf, going to check on them. I noticed round tag with a short but powerful message (which I sadly don't remember anymore) but the tag was connected on Gan Ning keychain! I was SO excited! But what made me excited as well was Aziraphale (tiny chibi version) keychain right on top of Gan Ning! I asked my sister to come to see them and while she eyed them with joy, I rushed on another side of the shelf, thinking: "There must be Crowley stuff too!" but there wasn't! Instead there was some (Silver fang / Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin) playing cards etc. I got so disappointed since I would had bought myself Crowley keychain :D
I don't remember the ending so well, but I remember how I nagged at my sister at one point, saying I'm definitely going to rearrange my wedding / wedding party again since I was not happy with this one.

3/26/23
It's that time again, I can feel it. Invisible chains weighing down my every limb, threatening to lock me in place under the abyss of my own thoughts. If I don't do something about it soon, then... well, to be honest I'm not sure what would happen. I'm trying to throw myself into my studies. The work is rigorous. If I force myself to focus, keep my hands busy, then it should be enough. We just need to hold out until it passes. The lab got a new shipment of rats to experiment with, and they're really cute. I might smuggle one of the runts home; it's either that or the rat guillotine, so no one will mind. Maybe a pet will keep me occupied enough at home to shake off these intrusive thoughts. The little guy I'm eyeing is adorable; he has a small patch of tan fur on his head shaped like a heart and he always spins in an attempt to win more food pellets. I think I saw a pet store in the strip mall with the coffee shop, so I'll probably swing by after work today to pick up cage and some toys for him. There are definitely worse things I could do on an impulse.
[Later]
I may have been a bit overzealous. The cage wasn't cheap, and despite being labeled "for rats" the bars are too far apart to even stop the runt from getting out. It was a huge pain dragging the full cage filled with supplies back to my apartment, it's big and awkward, much less without the added strain of trying to get through the woods. I probably should've taken the bus, or maybe this is a sign I should work out more, but there's no use dwelling on mistakes. I still managed to get it home in one piece, though I can't say the same about myself.
A branch on the ground snagged my ankle. I was around the halfway point so I just pulled my sock higher in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Later I went to clean it and throw a bandaid on, but the alcohol wipe reopened the wound. I really shouldn't have, but I had to get a few pictures of it. The blood beaded up in a few select spots before merging into one thick puddle. It looked unreasonably cool! In my excitement to get the perfect shot, I let the pool of blood get too thick and it dripped down directly onto the carpet. It's fine, I'll clean it up later. Between the cut, limping, and dragging a full cage that was practically as big as me, it's been a busy evening. A couple people were definitely staring at me dealing with the latter two, but it is what it is.
In the meantime I had to rat proof a room as best I could considering the circumstances. At least until the runt is big enough for the cage to be of any practical use. I also read that rats can get lonely, so tomorrow I plan on going around and collecting the runts from my cohorts as well. Maybe I'll create an army of rats! I'm feeling a lot more calm than this morning, so maybe this whole thing wasn't for naught. First day here and he's already an emotional support buddy.
------
Oh my God. I heard a weird scratching sound so I checked to make sure the rat wasn't tearing up the carpet, and he just... ate the blood stain. The sound was his teeth picking at the fibers so he could get a better taste. His little nose smeared with red is the only proof I have that the blood was ever there. I love him.

The Ultimate Guide to Floor Tiles for Living Room: Style Meets Durability
When it comes to creating a comfortable and stylish living room, the flooring you choose is crucial. Floor tiles for living room not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also provide durability and ease of maintenance. In this blog, we’ll explore the best options for floor tiles, touch on complementary living room wall tiles, and share tips for finding cheap tiles UK.
Tumblr media
Why Choose Floor Tiles for Living Room?
Floor tiles are a popular choice for living rooms due to their numerous benefits. First and foremost, they offer exceptional durability, making them ideal for high-traffic areas. Unlike carpets, tiles resist stains, scratches, and wear, ensuring that your living room looks great for years to come. Additionally, tiles are easy to clean—just a quick sweep and mop can keep them looking fresh.
Another advantage is versatility. With a wide range of designs, colors, and materials available, floor tiles can suit any decor style, from contemporary to traditional. Moreover, tiles help regulate temperature, making your living space feel comfortable year-round, especially when paired with underfloor heating.
Popular Types of Floor Tiles for Living Room
Ceramic Tiles Ceramic tiles are a favorite for many homeowners due to their affordability and variety. They come in numerous styles and colors, allowing you to customize your living space. While they can be prone to cracking if not installed properly, their easy maintenance and durability make them an attractive option.
Porcelain Tiles If you’re looking for something more robust, porcelain tiles are an excellent choice. Denser and more water-resistant than ceramic, they are perfect for high-traffic areas. Available in various finishes, including polished and matte, porcelain tiles can add a sleek, modern touch to your living room.
Natural Stone Tiles For a touch of luxury, consider natural stone tiles like slate, granite, or marble. These tiles add character and elegance but require more maintenance to prevent staining. When properly cared for, natural stone can elevate the entire ambiance of your living room.
Vinyl Tiles A more budget-friendly option, vinyl tiles come in various designs, including those that mimic wood or stone. They are comfortable underfoot, easy to install, and resistant to moisture, making them suitable for any living space.
Complementing with Living Room Wall Tiles
To enhance the overall look of your living room, consider incorporating living room wall tiles. These tiles can serve as a stunning accent wall or a stylish backsplash. Popular choices include:
Mosaic Tiles: Ideal for creating vibrant accent walls, mosaic tiles allow for creativity with colors and patterns.
Subway Tiles: Classic and timeless, subway tiles can be arranged in various layouts to add depth and interest to your walls.
Textured Tiles: Incorporating textured wall tiles can create a more dynamic space, adding dimension and warmth to your living area.
Finding Cheap Tiles in the UK
If you’re working with a budget, there are plenty of options for cheap tiles in the UK. Here are some tips to help you find great deals:
Compare Retailers: Always shop around to compare prices at different retailers. Websites like Tile Mountain and Topps Tiles often have sales and discounts.
Check Clearance Sections: Many stores offer clearance items or end-of-line products at significantly reduced prices. These tiles can still provide great quality at a fraction of the cost.
Look for Off-Cuts: Retailers often sell off-cuts at discounted prices, which can be perfect for smaller areas or accent features.
Explore Local Shops: Don't overlook local tile shops, which may have unique options or surplus stock available at lower prices.
Online Marketplaces: Websites like eBay or Facebook Marketplace can have great deals on tiles from both businesses and individual sellers.
Installation and Maintenance Tips
Whether you choose to hire a professional or go the DIY route, ensure that your tiles are installed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines for optimal results.
For maintenance, keep your floor tiles clean by sweeping regularly and using appropriate cleaners. Avoid harsh chemicals, especially on natural stone tiles, as these can damage the surface. Additionally, consider using area rugs to soften the look of tiled floors and provide comfort underfoot.
Conclusion
Choosing the right floor tiles for your living room can dramatically enhance the space’s aesthetic and functionality. With various options available—from affordable ceramic to luxurious natural stone—you can find the perfect fit for your home. Don’t forget to explore living room wall tiles to complete the look and add character to your design. With some savvy shopping strategies, you can achieve a beautiful living area without breaking the bank. Embrace the versatility of floor tiles and transform your living space into a stylish haven.
