Update 8/18
Hey Tumblr land... I know it’s been a little bit, but I figured I’d give a little update on what’s been going on and where my stories are at right now since it’s been a while. For those who missed the memo...I started a job at the end of May and it’s totally been kicking my ass. I’ve been in training the last 12 weeks between getting my state license and learning a lot of stuff...I’ve been finding myself mentally exhausted lately. It’s been harder and harder to find time to work on stories, but I have been trying. I’m getting ready to go into Pre-transition from a training classroom to the floor, so I have to adjust to a new schedule for the next couple of months so something new to get used to and then in November I’ll be assigned a floor team. Fingers crossed on everything going well, but yesterday I technically graduated from the training.
That being said...I’ve been looking at the status of my stories and wanted to give a run down of where I’m at. I’ve been working on stories off and on and I have a few new projects in the works as well. Trying to stay inspired in my new stories and keep up the writing with new ideas so I don’t forget them. First off...the WIPs that have been posted. Lessons of Life and Love: Next chapter is about half done...we’ll be taking a look at our boys arriving at Victor’s home and Yuuri adjusting to his new home and being mated now that they’re not in the mansion. One Moonlit Night/Chasing Starlight: Gonna lump these two together. I have started on the next chapter for OMN and I have outlined the final chapter of Chasing Starlight to finish it up. I’m trying to transition from Tentacle Week (which has long passed the deadline, but I still wanna get this written) and back to the main story line. You’ll be actually meeting a few characters that made appearances in CS and resolving the little bit of conflict from the last chapter. Plus I have some plans for the final chapter of CS...Yuuri is gonna have a surprise for Victor that I hope you’ll all enjoy. Here’s to Us: I was struggling because I didn’t know where I wanted to go with it and I sorta lost my original outline for the ending, but I’ve figured out a little where I want to go with it. I’m hoping for an update soon. It’s been almost a year since I updated and I do want to finish so while it’s been on hiatus...I’ve gotten the next chapter started and I need to just finish it so I can get back into the flow of it. Now for the new Projects in the Works: Begin Again: This is going to be a bit of a kinky one shot. I wrote down Ideas for it a while back and thanks to the wonderful people on my Discord and my need for a stress relief in the form of writing we’re getting a kink heavy Victuuri one shot. ABO, Collars, chains, intersex Omega, and more. It will be Omega Victor since there isn’t enough of that out in the fandom and there will be consent between them so it’ll be some kinky fun after some not so great circumstances. That should be posted soonish so keep an eye out for it. Seeking Life: Another project inspired by a meme that showed up on another Discord I follow. I got inspired to write a what if scenario with Victuuri. It’ll will be interesting for me to write and I plan to have the first chapter out as soon as I update some of the other stories that need to be updated. Synopsis: Victor has been on top of the World for years, but always felt the weight of his success and the lack of life and love in his personal life threatening to weigh him down. In one night he found his inspiration, only to have it crushed by tragedy. Everything changed in Sochi...the night Yuuri Katsuki died... Then something miraculous happens and Victor gets another chance to help Yuuri with his dreams and he finds his inspiration again. Yuuri was no stranger to failure. His anxiety led him to believe the worst and then he had to go and die before living out his one dream in life. Unable to pass on, he seeks the one person who can make his dream come true. The problem with that...Victor is his idol and it’s easy to fall in love with a man like that. Yuuri must fight his feelings as they work together. After all, he’s no longer alive, but dreams change and he finds that he doesn’t want to let go...instead he dreads moving on and leaving Victor behind.
Both desperate to find a solution or risk letting each other go... they cling to every moment that they share together trying to seek life once more...and maybe what they seek isn’t so far out of their reach after all. I’ve got one more story that I’ve started to outline. I was thinking of applying to the Sci-fi zine, but decided I already had way too much on my plate to commit to a zine right now, but I’ve still got the story in the works. Space Pirates, aliens, and a whole lot of fluff and fun. I can’t wait to get started on this project too and I’m hoping to figure out a title for it soon. Anyway...that’s the best update I can give you for now. I’m not going to give an exact ETA because at this point, I just don’t know and also I’m horrible at my own deadlines. Thank you all for your support and patience while I work out the kinks of everything. I really want to get something out soon. I might be able to get something out this weekend, but no promises. Just keep an eye out for updates.

Chasing Starlight Part II
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary:
After landing in a world covered in eternal darkness and starlight, Harper has a bit of time to herself. She sends up a call to her lost sister, Talia while trying to figure out what to do with her arranged marriage. Stephen meanwhile notices her distress and vows to figure out how to help her when he notices the book she carries.
He lightly touched the scars across her wrists. His touch made her shudder involuntary.  He found her fascinating, yet mysterious.
“Why do you hurt yourself? Princesses don’t hurt themselves, they ask for assistance or help of some sort.” A light kiss upon the scars. How could Harper explain to him, a stranger she met just hours earlier about why she tried to hurt herself? I can’t tell him. He wouldn’t understand. She thought, her eyes full of sadness as she laid back against the tree as the night sky twinkled away, almost winking at her as if it could keep her secret.
“I don’t have a great relationship with my mother. After my father passed on and my sister disappeared, I felt really lost and she decided maybe marrying a prince I have never heard of or let alone know, might bring me out of the darkness. She was dead wrong.” She stopped, thinking she may have told him too much as she watched his eyes become full of the sadness she had felt earlier. She sighed when he said nothing in response, feeling suddenly exhausted from the day. Or was it night? She didn’t know as her vision blurred, then everything around feel as dark as the night around her.
This beautiful princess should not have to give herself to a total stranger she does not care for. I wonder if the King would have something to say to this situation and the Prince as well? Perhaps they could help her in a time like this… I wish there was a way I could help her. These dreaded nights will not stop me from helping this young.. lady find the answers she seeks.
Harper wasn’t sure what time it was when she awoke, but it was still night she assumed, possibly early morning, if she had to guess. She heard the stranger speaking to himself or was it in his mind he spoke to himself? She didn’t have time to even think about it as she stood up, stretching and went to the river nearby, the glint of the moon shining upon it like a jewel among gold. The reflection made her smile and her heart leap. She suddenly remembered her older sister, having brought her up before but didn’t think much of it until that moment. Her heart broke the more she thought about her. She sighed.
“Oh Talia, wherever you are, please hear me. Ever since your disappearance, mother has lost her mind. I am nothing like you nor will I ever be. If you hear this, please come home and help me. I need my big sister now more than ever before. I love you.”
She stood in the water, looking up at the darkened sky, hoping wherever Talia was, she heard her calling. Harper felt utterly lost under her new circumstances and this sudden change where her mother, the marriage to the prince, her father’s passing and her sister’s disappearance meant nothing.  How could she explain to this stranger, who she thought was the traveler in the book, about her sister and that her wish had come true? It didn’t seem like she could find the words to try.
He saw her back as she stood inside the silver creek, her blonde hair glowing along the water as he heard her speak of some woman named Talia. He knew the name and the legend associated with it. He knew he had to help her get home before she was stuck there with him forever, but what way was there off this planet if he was now a reject? He wished to see something other than this world that was continually covered in darkness and starlight. It was beautiful, sure, but it became nothing of the hope he had. Distracted by his own thoughts, he didn’t hear her approach him, grabbing his shoulder.
“Are you alright? I suppose this would be the time for introductions, wouldn’t it?” A warm smile. He didn’t see that often and nodded. “Harper.” She held her hand out for him.
He took it, feeling the radiance of warmth. “Stephen. Forgive me, Harper, but I noticed you carry a book with you. May I see it?”
She pulled it out of her pocket, forgetting she even had it as she handed it over, her hand lightly brushing his own as a small electrical charge passed through both of them for an instant.

do the lil christmas tree 🎄 for nate and ollie plsss 🥺 or nate and john, or cora and ollie... you pick but i want some fun times 🥰
send ‘🎄’ for our muses to decorate a christmas tree together: @chasingstarlight
Ah, Christmas time. That one holiday a year that had slowly, but surely, snuck into his life through the essence of other people who had decided the holiday was worth a cheer. It was one of those things he had stopped arguing against and (sort of) accepted that he was unable to escape those jolly tunes of bells, glitter, and some sort of Jesus spirit that brought peace upon the world for an evening; all in the hands of a laughing man who enjoyed the habit of breaking into people’s homes in the middle of the night to offer gifts to children. No, it was far from a favorite holiday of his choosing but even so, Oliver found himself wrapped up in the center of it through the hands of others with little say on the matter. At the start it had been Cora, past that it was Belle but this year it happened through no other than his newfound friend Nathan Kaiser.
Alright, maybe not newfound in that sense as they’d known each other for a little over a year by now, but he was the newest addition to the bunch and that counted for something – especially as far as Oliver’s own track record of maintain said friendships went. It was strange to imagine that more than a year had passed since he had first decided to set foot inside the dance studio Nate worked at; and how it had worked itself from a feeling of fish out of water to a weekly occurrence that benefitted them both.
This, which had moved them to today’s activity that consisted of putting together Nate’s Christmas tree. He hadn’t bothered with it last year, as his apartment had become something of a mess in between his move from America to Canada, work and his downtime trying to get over his ex-girlfriend Eileen. Oliver had happily helped Nate sort through his belonging and memories once the two of them had found their footing, to make everything less cluttered and to make sure the memories Nate cherished the most stayed front and center – among other things. Oliver could swear the apartment had pretty much doubled in size since, although this dumb tree was about to hog up half of the living room area and ruin the otherwise serenity of keeping things clean and out of the way.
“What theme do you usually go for with your Christmas tree?” Oliver’s voice broke through the background noise of a radio currently playing the low tunes of “Last Christmas”, his eyes finding their way over to Nate who was occupied with untangling a light strip by the couch and was caught mumbling to himself in a hinted frustration.
Nate looked up for a moment and shrugged. “Theme? Uh… I dunno, I usually just pick the first things I can get out of the decorations box and put it on until I can’t fit more.”
“So, you don’t color match or make sure the decorations go together like… at all? That’s bound to look messy, right?” Oliver’s hands had already started to dig through the main box of ornaments, finding that it was scattered all over from some haven’t been opened at all, some being stuffed into bags, a few being straight up broken and well… some looking hand-made at that. It was a collection, of sorts, but outside of a few bright red and blue spheres there wasn’t much to grasp onto.
“Yes? That’s part of the fun – you get to reuse what you have every year, but you don’t always end up with it looking the same. It’s nice and cozy and makes your home feel like home and not another Christmas tree in a shop window.” Nate put down the lights and shifted his hands out into the air, gesturing into the wild, his eyes sparkling in the same manner as the glitter nested into bottom of the box. “And that’s the magic of Christmas!”
Oliver couldn’t hold back a snort and slowly shook his head at Nate, not grasping that “magic” everyone else was so happily keen on. “Sure, if you say so. Magic can be one hell of a powerful thing; I won’t underestimate it.”
Nate gave him a singular, big nod before finally announcing that he had found the end to his struggled – holding the untangled string of lights up in the air with a beaming smile. “The evil has been defeated! Here, come help me with this before anything else please, it’s a mess and a half to put up on your own.”
There were a few minutes of mostly silence as Oliver held the chord in place as Nate wrapped it around the tree, only chiming in a few times to correct the position of a stray light and offer a tip on how to hide them better; a solemn cheer between them once the tree lit up and announced itself as ready to be decorated by them.
“Okay, how about I give you the ornaments and you put them up – sounds fair?” Nate didn’t wait for an answer before he seated himself on the floor, his hands less graceful as they dug into the box by their feet to choose the worthy first decoration to land on his tree. It wasn’t long until he let out a small squeal and held out a rather unappealing stick figure who had clearly seen better days, with visible glue spots and the lack of an eye on its oversized head. “Look! I made this when I was younger, can you believe it? Mom really didn’t want me to have it when I moved out of home, but I snuck it with me anyway. It’s an elf. See his little hat? I can’t remember what I named him though…”
“That’s… well… nice. Very creative of younger you, I’m sure we can find a special spot for him somewhere.” Oliver was reluctant to take the elf from Nate, not because he didn’t want to put it in the tree but rather because he worried the figure would break by the touch. He decided to place it up top, near where the star would eventually be. It’d be both highlighted and hidden all the same, a great match, thinking it’d be the first and last of the bunch. Little did he account for the other ten Christmas ornaments that’d fall into his hands with wacky or sentimental stories to them which Nate was happy to retell in its full glory. If it was one thing that had become clear to Oliver through his months of getting to know Nate, it was that he’d collect everything with a memory attached and it was a miracle if you could get him to put it past himself. Oh well, at least the memories were good ones and he didn’t mind listening for once.
It was far past dinner time when the two finally wrapped up the Christmas tree through Nate, who insisted he’d be the one to put on the star. The crown on their jewel of hard work that made them step back and soak in their teamwork. Although Oliver had been forbidden to work with a proper theme for the tree, he at least thought he’d done a pretty good job at balancing what he was given – with it being a mix and match of home-made goodies to your every day store brought ornaments with their bright colors and spots of glitter that reflected the light around them. It wasn’t the prettiest of trees he’d ever laid his eyes on, but it was… well…
“Aw, it’s so nice”, Nate let out with an awe to his words and clapped his hands together before he turned his head to face Oliver, his face that of someone far pleased with themselves.
“I dunno, looks a little messy, don’t you think?” Oliver crossed his arms, trying to find a better word to describe their effort.
“I know, that’s what makes it great. It’s not going to win any competitions, but we did it together and we got a memory out of it. At least it’s our mess, right?”
Nate’s words found a way to sting, but in a good way and it forced to Oliver quickly sigh and drop his arms back to his sides, finding it hard to argue with them. If it had been Cora he probably would have rebutted her arguments until they both gave up on the conversation – but instead he nodded in agreement and admitted his defeat. “Sure, let’s call it that.” Another word for it would have been cozy, but that was a victory he wasn’t going to let Nate have that easily. “Our messy little Christmas tree. It’ll have to do.”

Almost forgot this little tidbit. Victor’s necklace from Chapter 4 of Chasing Starlight. It’s larimar which is a nice little stone only found in the Caribbean. For those who know about metaphysical properties of stones know how much of a calming stone this is. It’s super pretty and rare and expensive (I know, I have a small Larimar pendant that easily cost me $40 USD and it’s a little bit bigger than a pea), but something new for Victor and Yuuri’s dynamic and fitting for a story under the sea.

Chasing Starlight
Tumblr media
Characters: Harper, Stephen (Traveler)
Words: 1,341
Warnings: Language
A/N:
I’m hoping this is good. It’s kind of short, but if it gets positive reviews and anyone wants another chapter, let me know. This isn’t part of a fandom or anything, just for fun. Enjoy!
The night sky smiled brightly amongst the starlight. All was quiet, the way they preferred it. The ship glowed its brisk light just enough for them, the guidance giving the explorers places they’d never explored before on past visits to this big blue orb. Something about it had changed, however since their last visit, the ship had communicated but issued a warning to the wary travelers of the Giant. The ship didn’t budge on any details, leaving them confused, but undeterred as they focused on their mission.
One traveler had stopped, taking a moment to stare up at the night sky at the stars above him. A few others followed his line of sight, silently communicating between each other, something they had done on multiple occasions before. These select few found the sight beautiful, yet somehow disturbing like a disturbed grave. Once upon the ship, the traveler turned to look out the port on the rear side of the ship, a sadness threatening to overcome him but not even that would stop him as the ground began to shrink beneath the ship. Before they could fully take off, however, the ship shook violently, throwing plants, explorers and various other things around like an earthquake. The explorer tried to grasp to something as the ship’s hatch opened on its own accord, the air dragging him out and onto the ground below, rendering him unconscious, a feeling that was very unfamiliar. His vision blurred, then faded to black.
“You can’t be fucking serious right now! I worked hard for that and you just take it?!” She screamed at her mother, unable to believe what was happening.
“You need to be taught a lesson! You will marry him whether you like it or not!” Her mother had screamed back, her hand raised as if to strike the young woman. However, she thought better of the situation, lowering it instead.
“Mother, I do not love him! He is nothing but a slob, pig, ignorant… Need I go on?” The young woman, clearly exasperated by this exchanged stated with venom behind her words. She knew she struck a nerve with her mother, but she didn’t care any longer.
“You will learn to, Harper. He means well and he may not have the appearance of a Prince, I assure you, he will make you happy. Can you trust me just this once?” Her eyes gave way to a sadness that she didn’t realize was there to begin with. “He is not as bad as you may think. I know that this may seem rash, but he does care for you. I wish you could see it like his father and I do.”
Harper’s eyes widened at the last statement, tears threatening to spill out of her crystal blue eyes. “And how would you know that mother? Is his lust telling you that or is that an assumption? Because as far as I’m concerned, you’re dead to me. You are NOT my mother as I am NOT your daughter. If I was your daughter, you would not force this decision upon me. He is not worthy of my love. He is worthy to be dug into a hole in the ground!”
Before her mother could reply, Harper ran out the door of the grand castle, her prison for more than 5 years, a place she wished she could escape from forever, but it wasn’t meant to be. How could she love a man she didn’t truly know? How could she release all her pent up emotions without causing damage to him or anyone else? She knew she meant none of those words, but they couldn’t be taken back now as she ran past the castle walls and into the field below, the only place she had felt safe. Taking refuge under a shady tree, she sobbed. Harper was never one for tears, but ever since her father’s passing, she had become an emotional wreck, her emotions getting the best of her at times, which made her feel like a dragon, something that made her feel free. After her eyes could no longer spill tears, she took out her favorite story, The Secret Adventures of a Traveler, Harper had continued the story where she picked up.
The wolf had spliced it’s way into his DNA, something no one had seen before. A grotesque sight to say the least, but not unfathomable as the scientist continued his experimentation, much to my disgust and angst. I was curious, yes, but even here in the Starlight, even experiments have their limits. In the distance, you can see the Forbidden Mountain where the King lived, with his son and grandson, a very noble prince, much like Thorin Oakinshield, but not as gruff and rough. He did look like him so much that you’d think it was him, but this couldn’t be, could it? This wasn’t Middle-Earth, but it could almost be if we wished for it.
The experiment writhed in agony as the man’s screams became that of a snarling monster, his features replaced with razor sharp jaws, fur, claws and eyes that could kill.  I had kept my distance since no one knew what the monster would do, not even his creator. Something about this wasn’t normal, but sacred and almost ritualistic. Even in my 5 short years of exploration did I think I would see something like this. It is truly fascinating.
Harper shut the book and sighed, wishing she could travel away from all this drama. She wished she could be like the Traveler, whose name she didn’t know, but always had a curiosity about herself that no one could explain, but was believed as “weird”, something she didn’t like.
A few hours had gone by as the ground around her glowed, waking her from her slumber, but before she could react however, the light consumed her as she landed on rough ground, the light suddenly gone as she wearily looked around. She noticed the world was plunged in infinite darkness and starlight, a beautiful sight. Below her, she saw a figure, unconscious and in her instinct, went over to him. He was still breathing (thank the lord) as she decided to find a stream or some sort of water source in case he woke. Where was she and who was he? He had a terrible gash against his temple as she took out a rag and softly dabbed at it, not being a nurse by any means, but his safety was her priority and if he died, she would never forgive herself for this stranger’s death whom she didn’t even know for the last 45 seconds and yet she was already blaming herself? Typical Harper. She thought to herself as the stranger stirred in her arms.
