Essie and Adrian’s story was emotional messy and beautiful my heart ached for everything they went through especially Essie my god that prologue was so devastating I was crying at the end of the chapter! I really enjoyed being back in Blue Beech with the second generation I loved the witty banter but boy oh boy do these two walk a thin line between love and hate ! And all that delicious enemies to lovers tension between them was so good . I love Charity Ferrell as an author her writing is so heart felt rather it’s small town romance or mafia romance and the spice is always top notch ! Loved this book in this series it can be read as a stand-alone and it is the second book that’s part of the Only you series. Definitely a must read and definitely gets my five star approval!

I enjoy this series and while I’d just say this girl is a bit dumb and naive at most, it’s the fact that majority of people in the comments were like yeah!!!!

I don’t think these people know how it actually works. lol like at all.

In 2022, I had fraud. My bank account was hacked into most likely via my debit card and some asshole from Boston stole $600 to use for those dumb sports book bets. I got a text right away saying “this you?” And I said no, soooo immediately my entire account was frozen and placed on hold. I had to get up extra early, call work and say I’d be late, go to the bank where my banker person had to get on the phone with the fraud department, confirm my ID and basically like yeah this girl isn’t anywhere near Boston right now. I had to get an entire new bank account with new routing number and new debit card but I wouldn’t get the new debit card until a couple weeks via mail so I had to basically pull money from my new account so I’d have spending money in case. $600 might not seem like a lot to some people but when you live paycheck to paycheck, that’s gas, groceries, car insurance….that put me in a big hole. Nonetheless I had to remember every service I had that was set to autopay and spend hours going through setting up new payment.

Now what this girl and probably others who’ve never gone through this don’t understand is there is an entire month long investigation that takes place behind the scenes. They look at location, place, and amount and compare that with your entire previous purchases over the last 10 years. I was very lucky that mine was so cut and dry. I had no history of gambling, I wasn’t from or near Boston and had no recent purchases showing I may have gone there for like vacation or something in the past couple years. So they gave me my $600 back into my account in a few days. However I was told not to touch it if I’m able to because the investigation was still active and until I got a letter in the mail that it was closed, the fraud team could find something and always reverse it back. So if I spent it, I would have to pay my bank back.

Now my sister is going through something similar right now with PayPal. She hasn’t used it in YEARS & forgot about it but someone decided to use it which was linked to her bank. Her bank can’t do anything until PayPal resolves it and they’re fighting it hard right now that it was my sister. She has not gotten her money back yet and it’s been over 2 weeks now. Everytime the Will Ferrel commercial comes on, she yells “fuck you Will.”. It is not safe or secure lol.

The point is, it’s not as easy as she’s claiming. On our end sure, we just report it via buttons but the fact she’s talking about thousands, no. That’s being looked into and deep dived. NYC is a big place and I’m sure fraud is more likely to come from the same area you live, but it doesn’t just go away. Especially if they request a subpoena to that charity, they can review IP addresses and see exactly where it pings from and what card. If no other weird purchases were made on her card that she’s disputing, it’s red flag city.

Moral of story: just don’t do it. Because when it reallly happens to you, it sucks ass and it’s not worth going to prison over. And maybe a bit why I’m also like fuck Boston. 🤣 They also sent me my tax forms late since all our insurance info comes from there for work. Bastards.

Wilfred “Will” Downing (November 29, 1963) is a singer and songwriter. He is married to singer Audrey Wheeler, who was a member of the R&B group Unlimited Touch.

He enrolled in Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn. He recorded for Motown and graduated. He attended Virginia Union University. His first solo album, Will Downing. His version of the John Coltrane piece, “A Love Supreme”, reached $4 on the BillboardHot Dance Club Songs chart. He stayed with 4th & Broadway for just one album and switched to Island Records for his second release, Come Together as One (1989). Switching labels to Mercury for his fourth outing, 1993’s Love’s the Place to Be, he scored his best-selling album to date with about 235,000 copies sold in the US and over 300,000 copies in the UK. He remained with Mercury for two more albums, Moods in 1995 and Invitation Only in 1997, both of which sold well. All the Man You Need received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Traditional R&B Album in 2000. The album included “When You Need Me”, a duet single with Chante Moore. In 2002, he received the International Association of African-American Music Diamond Award.

In December 2006, he suffered from polymyositis. Despite the debilitating aspects of the disease, he worked towards releasing a new album in 2010. Love, Lust, & Lies: An Audio Novel was released in September of that year. He is a spokesperson for the American Stroke Association. On tour, he conducts the charity bowling event, Strike Against Stroke, to raise funds for awareness and education in the African American community, which is disproportionately affected. The American Heart Association recognized him for his efforts, honoring him as a Celebrity Ambassador. He is a keen photographer and self-published the 2005 coffee table book Unveiled Series I. Streaming media is multimedia that is constantly received by and presented to an end-userwhile being delivered by a provider. I’ve read a lot of trash in my life, but Pretty and Reckless by Charity Ferrell takes the cake as the absolute worst 🫶

Lots of compound trauma and abuse, grape without the g, attempted sexual assault by a parent, addiction, gaslighting, etc. The heroine doesn’t really work through much of this trauma, and her love interest has a savior complex, does not respect boundaries, and sort of brow beats her into being with and forgiving him. Did I mention he’s also her therapist (but it doesn’t count because he does the sessions for free *sarcasm*) and has known her since she was a teenager, and was attracted to her while she was a teenager?
