Hero Form Appearance: A mid green and pink outfit (That’s balanced by black and white) that has boots inspired by the Yoshino Cherry Blossom’s petals, a top and pants that’s reminiscent of his hero costume, albeit with pink cherry blossom motifs- especially in the sides of the outfit, which are clearly resembling the delicate notched petals of the flower. The sleeves are pink fading to a dark green, while his gauntlets are pink to make the color contrast more. The tips of his hair gain a Sakura pink color. The chestplate is a very pastel pink that fades into a pastel green, which also applies to the shoulder pads and knee pads. In his hair, the only accessory he wears is a petal shaped hairclip, and that’s accompanied by the other sole accessory- a cherry blossom themed bow on his chest.

She loves her country and once pretended to be a masked vigilante even though her identity was super obvious. She loves baking and will trick her friends into behaving by bribing them with sweets.

Can you please do a WBMR for Koori Chikage and Nogi Wakaba? They are characters from the YuYuYu spin off - Nogi Wakaba is a Hero. I've seen you done the WaSuYu Trio and the main team already, so why not the 1st generation heroines as well.

Both of them are good girls and I love them a lot ( I'm currently writing a fanfic with a happy ending for their Hero team) But since they are yuyuyu characters, they suffered a lots so please save them. They did not deserve the hell they were put through! Like, Chikage was bullied by her entire village because her mom has an affair. Her mom. Not to mention her dad was a manchild who only know drinking and being useless!

Just, please, PLEASE give them a good life in Wondaria. Wakaba and Chikage didn't do anything wrong.

P.s: since you haven't done any WBMR for the Mikos, could you write one for Uesato Hinata too? She has her fair share of pain watching nearly all of her friends died in battle.

It's been a while since I've done a WBMR so I might be a little rusty, and I apologize in advance.

Due to being the very first Heroes, Wakaba, Koori and Hinata are now old women who have retired from fighting long ago. They have been brought up to speed on the Taisha's crimes in the future by the Bureau, and feel guilty for being part of such a sinister project.

Out of all the ladies, the truth has hit Wakaba the hardest, specially when she has learned about her descendant, Sonoko, was confined to a hospital bed for sacrificing herself. As atonement, she and the others have decided to build a shrine temple for the new generation of Heroes that have been previously rescued.

Wakaba is serious, but not like in the way she used to be. Wondaria's atmosphere puts her at ease, helping her to properly concentrate on the search for her descendant; she wants to find Sonoko and her friends, so she can offer safe haven to them within the new temple.

Koori has a soft spot for children, and will do anything to protect them, ensuring that none of them suffers what she has suffered. She's also a very fast learner, quickly adapting to Wondaria and studying its history, so she and her colleagues are able to accomodate themselves with little to no trouble.

Hinata, being a Miko, leads the temple, with Wakaba as her second-in-command. Upon discovering the Taisha's dirty deeds, she has her ideals challenged, and has dismissed her old vindictive gods, now wanting to focus on her own beliefs. She was never able to fight, but through her new haven, she can properly protect the young ones.

um imma start with nogi bc she wasn't included in my initial ramble, her full name is nogi sonoko (last name first name) and her and tougou met alongside another girl named gin in the tail end of their elementary school years when they were picked to be a hero team, nogi was picked due to her families connection to the taisha, which are the people who watch over the worship of the shinju (world tree) which is sort of a collection of gods as one entity referred to as shinju-sama usually. both nogi and tougou were picked due to their connection to the taisha, while from my current understanding (i could be wrong here) gin was picked due to her having noble qualities that would make for a good hero. nogi is, as ive referred to her in the past, a ditzy genius, being extremely smart but also kinda airheaded, she's particularly noted as having a tendency to daydream, which her parents allow after she proved that despite her daydreaming she was still well aware of her surroundings. nogi is along with tougou one of the most developed characters, the other ones being fuu and karin but we aren't talking about them rn, nogi is usually classified as a comic relief character, dressing up in funny outfits and playing with things like her cat pillow which she brings practically everywhere (it's also a hand puppet!) but her true greatness shines during things like her and tougou's, at the time washio sumi (called waashi by nogi) final battle together as a duo, where she went mankai TWENTY TIMES losing most of her bodily functions and becoming hospitalized as a result (fun fact! one of the first things she lost function in was her heart!) she did all this for tougou even when she (tougou) forgot her! then she told tougou the truth of the shinju and the vertexes even when tougou still didn't remember her! also her and tougou's dynamic is so cute and silly <3 her dynamic with the rest of the Hero Club is also so good i especially love her dynamic with yuuna

Having friends over was something which Sonoko had become quite accustomed to in the last few years. Her house was, by far, the most affluent of her social group. Plenty could be done at her place to keep all her friends entertained and have fun. However, today Sonoko had two very special and unusual guests to show around her house. Her ancestor from 300 years ago, Wakaba, and her past self from her elementary school days. 

The civil war going on within the Shinju gave some opportunities which sounded straight out of a dream. Thankfully, in part because of her family being more or less the most influential of the Taisha, they were well aware of the situation, so of course Sonoko was going to take the chance to show her ancestor how the Nogi family was now, and her past self how it’d changed in 2 years.

“Ancestor-sama, Little Sonocchi, it’s just up ahead~. We’ll be there in a minute~.” The older Sonoko said, currently sitting comfortably in the extravagant limo she’d picked up the other Nogis in.

“Yaaaay~!” The younger Sonoko cheered, an eager and happy smile on her face. “I wonder what my room looks like now...”

Why we don’t actually need Guizhong’s design

I often hear things like „we know what [insert dead Genshin character] looks like, why haven’t we seen Guizhong already?”. And I know I tend to say this myself too. But, to be honest, do we really need her official appearance?

(This post came out longer than I expected. It also mentions the recent Ayato controversy, so don’t read if you don’t want to. Comments and reblogs are appreciated, but please, read the whole thing before you do so. The title may be misleading a bit, because I talk about fan designs as well and why they’re actually good.)

First of all, Guizhong is… well, dead. And she died a looong time ago. We often hear Zhongli talk about erosion and how he may get out of control one day… but what if erosion made him forget Guizhong? We never hear him talk about her directly. Maybe he’s too scared to admit that he doesn’t know who she was like anymore? I mean, she was his closest friend if not a lover. Forgetting someone that important to you would be heartbreaking, wouldn’t it? This is a good lore explanation to her not getting any canon appearance. And I know we’ve seen many characters from Liyue’s ancient history, but they are different from Guizhong. Firstly, they are alive in most cases, like the Adepti. Some we don’t know the „full” appearance of, like the Yakshas, but it’s kept vague on purpose. We don’t need to know what every Yaksha looked like to appreciate their lore. Their appearance are… to be honest, meaningless to the overall story. And lastly, we don’t have a good timeline of events yet. We know some facts, but not really. How old are Morax and Guizhong? Is Guizhong younger? Did Xiao and Guizhong really meet? We know Morax created the Yakshas, but we don’t know whether it is meant as him assembling them like Nick Fury or just creating them out of thin air (because we know the Archons have this ability). There are many things we don’t know yet, so the erosion and memory loss theory still holds up.

Stepping aside from the lore, let’s consider the real-life events - mainly, the infamous Ayato drama. Remember how people potrayed him as… to put it simply an older male version of Ayaka? And I’m not saying it was bad, because some of the potrayals were really creative. And all of them are valid! But people began to see it as a norm. This is Ayato. This is Ayato. And this too. But there’s a general idea of Ayato that only few people would deny - blue hair, a ponytail, maybe some flowers and generally dark, flowy samurai clothing. Or just a simple kimono because he’s so busy he won’t even suit himself.

Now, how does this relate to Guizhong? Well, she doesn’t have an official appearance too, but there’s a general idea of her as well. From what I saw, there’s almost always a Sonoko Nogi hairstyle going on, with glaze lilies in her hair. Her clothing tends to be blue, gold and white - like Glaze Lilies - and resembles those Chinese drama costumes that take a fantasy spin on traditional clothes. Don’t take my words for granted as I’m not really into Chinese culture and I don’t want to offend anyone, but you get the point. Some of my personal favourite Guizhongs include @ifeelgenshin 's Guizhong, kongbz_gimpact’s Guizhong, ruoyeahs’ Guizhong and _Luminoiz3’s Guizhong which is probably my fav. There’s also this beautiful comic, and this one that has this beautiful voiceover… many incarnations, all of which are 100% valid, creative and beautiful.

And now let’s imagine she gets released tomorrow.

The Ayato drama gives us a great example of how this would go. Many people would be upset, because The Guizhong is not Guizhong they imagine her to be. Because, let’s be honest, we know nothing about her. Some people say she’s stoic, calm and collected, while some say she’s „ara ara let’s get my gay fella a fella”. She could be a catalyst wielder, because Memory of Dust, but an archer as well, because Guizhong Ballista. And there’s evidence in the game that Morax wanted to give her a sword, so she would qualify as a sword wielder too. But it’s canon that she was too weak to even fight, so what now?!

No matter what Mihoyo does, they’ll make some people angry. It’s true that Guizhong fans are more likely to be.. well just happy. They care about lore more than Meta stuff, at least from what I’ve seen. But knowing the toxic fandom Genshin has, there would be drama anyway. Of course, if people knew who Guizhong even is.

Elaborating on that last sentence, I feel like Guizhong gets the same treatment as Honkai. Now, I know the comparison is a bit of a stretch, but hear me out. Honkai has a small community of dedicated fans. And there is rarely any big drama. I never see people boycotting Honkai. They are just enjoying the game. The lore, the characters, the universe. And that’s also what happens with „back in the day” Liyue storyline. People enjoy learning about those characters, exploring the lore. They’re living in a small community where the only big conflict is about shipping. And that’s not even a conflict anyway! I enjoy seeing Guizhong as Morax’s lover, but I also love her as a sister trying to get him together with Azhdaha. It’s cute both ways! And those two are not even close to what this community is capable of! Things can be cute, there can be angst, but there is always good content. And it’s amazing.

So, why do I object to Guizhong getting an official appearance? Because Mihoyo would have to explain her story. Make her likeable. Profit from her story. Make her mainstream. And that would pop this little bubble we have. Can you imagine someone saying Guizhong is their waifu? I can’t. But that would happen if she went mainstream. There would be story chapters, events, quests. And even if I’m wrong… the fun would be ruined anyway.

Guizhong is this one character everyone wants in the game, but that’s because they want to have more concrete info about her. But I think it’s better to keep things going as they are now. Maybe one day we��ll get, I dunno, a hand shot of her. This would be enough. We don’t need more. The mystery is what keeps this little fandom going. And solving it would not only keep away the fun, but also generate meaningless conflicts. And Guizhong herself doesn’t like conflicts, mind you.

The closest we got to having Guizhong in the game? Glaze Lilies. Ruins on Guili Plains. Kokomi, who is basically an Inazuma Guizhong. We don’t need more. What we have now is more than enough.

… But I want a tea party event nonetheless.
