Do you guys think Apophis is the same being every time you fight him?
Or do you fight a different giant monster every time?
(And does Qi just corrupts a new serpent every day, or is there a whole species of this things deeper in the Badlands waiting to be discovered?)
Mythological Apophis does get reborn every day to fight Ra and so does SVE Apophis, but then again, it's a giant scary serpent, maybe it was named Apophis simply because it's an evil snake associated with darkness.
#and it it's the same being#do you think it remembers it's past 'lives'?#recognizes the farmer as the person who kills him every time?#do you think it learns from past experiences?#for example if a group of adventurers finally manage to hurt him and escape with their lives#and later they perfect the strategy in the hopes of finally killing the beast in the second fight#what are the chances that apophis will also learn from the fight and change his own strategy?#remaining a danger even after this?#it would make him much scarier#sure this doesn't happen in the game but it could be just a game limitation#sve headcanon#sve theory

. . . STRATEGIC TWISTS! featuring kaoru takamura & krystian karmazin!
contains! . . . lowercase writing, use of the word monster (not in an insulting way..? i mean, its kaoru), pretty much none! notes! . . . so... im trying out a new... this, whatever you call it— hope ya enjoy this lil drabble i made abt my two silly ocs :]]
with her back to the mostly monochrome jester, kaoru takamura begins, “so,” after outlining her strategy in eliminating her archenemy. she knows that her opponent will employ similar unexpected turns and twists as she did, but thanks to her intelligence, kaoru came very prepared for any planned deception going through her path.
with two allies at her side (albeit only one was willing to participate, the other... not so much, but begrudgingly, they had no choice but to accept), kaoru is confident that the plan will be deftly carried out to guarantee her success.
the hot pink-hued woman turns around and smiles expectantly at krystian karmazin with slim intertwined hands in front of her torso.
“you got it, krystian?”
grinning resolutely—showcasing the two pairs of sharp canines that were different from the rest of his less pointed teeth—the taller individual standing at a freakish 7’6” (228 cm) gives the woman of mildly-wavy hair a thumbs up, expressing his delight in flawlessly executing the intellectual’s plan.
krystian doesn't exactly to do things precisely wrong, unless it involves anything to do with those cunning clever little rodents called rats and mice.
“got it!” he exclaims proudly, well aware of the role he has to play and the tasks he has to do in the plot—quite ironic considering his true thoughts about the plan.
‘got what??’
of course, it must've been tiring keeping up with kaoru and this nemesis of hers' plots with dozens of turns of events.
because, as told by a majority of others spoken around, kaoru takamura is an absolute monster when it comes to strategy. not one person has been recorded to have figured out or outsmart any plan she made against them.

10 Easy Ways to Lose Weight Naturally
1) Every day after waking up in the morning, eat one tomato on an empty stomach.
2) Mix 3 tsp lemon juice, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder and 1 tsp honey and drink it with a glass of water every morning. Do this continuously for 3 months, you will feel the change in your figure.
3) Even drinking a glass of carrot juice daily does not increase obesity.
4) Cut a lot of cabbage and mix it in the salad. Even this will keep you slim. Cabbage is easily digested. Also, eating it gives a feeling of being full for a long time.
5) Boil ginger and lemon slices in a glass of water for some time, then filter the water and drink it (make sure the water is hot). It prevents obesity as well as overeating.
6) Avoid excessive consumption of rice and potatoes. If you cannot live without eating rice, then cook rice in a pot instead of a cooker and throw away the excess water.
7) Include fruits like jackfruit, grapes, papaya, pineapple, apple, French beans, figs, peach, guava etc. in your diet. They are helpful in reducing weight.
8) Green tea also helps in reducing obesity.
9) Fasting once a week is also a good option. Take only liquid things on this day, it will remove toxins and extra fat from the body.
10) Avoid consuming too much salt, it leads to weight gain.

i want to own something that says "I'm saving my last bullet for smokey the bear"
maybe a pin. or a t-shirt
#the t-shirt could say 'our native plants have evolved alongside fire and indigenous people have managed the landscape with prescribed burns#for thousands of years before white settlers made their traditional land-management techniques illegal and forced them off their lands'#or uh. maybe something shorter#'suppressing small fires and making controlled burns illegal is a bad land management strategy'#or 'climate change isn't causing those wildfires idiots'

Even in food service, there is the demand for exponential growth. Each store has a profit target you're expected to hit every quarter. Each quarter the target gets bigger and bigger. The only way to make sure you hit or exceed that target is to increase sales or cut costs. Sales can only go so far though, so at a certain point there is the understandable temptation (not justifiable, but understandable) for your manager to start cutting hours. Once they do, your location has entered a Death Spiral.
The thing about the Death Spiral is it is nearly impossible to escape. It starts innocuous enough, with a few hours getting shaved off every week. And true enough at first you probably didn't need those hours. They were the slack, the extra hands that helped distribute the work and made it easier on everyone. You might not even notice they're gone. Maybe the morning rush is a little harder to handle, maybe there isn't as much time to chat as there used to be. But on the whole nothing has changed. You're still hitting your sales quota and, hey, everyone seems to be working a little harder. That's good, right?
Then the next quarter rolls around. You exceeded your quota. Upper management is very excited. But now your new quota is even higher than it would have been if you had simply performed to expectations. You raise prices a bit, push more expensive drinks, and sure, cut a few more hours. Bit by bit the slack gets tighter. The fat gets trimmed. All because continual growth, continual improvement, is not just demanded, but expected.
The endgame of the Death Spiral is the expectation that every worker will operate at 100% efficacy 100% of of the time, and that nothing will go wrong ever. It never reaches this point, as any food service worker will tell you, shit goes wrong. Service gets worse, you lose a few customers, and you miss your quota. This is the point of no return, because the only way to solve the problem is to add more hours. But there's no way upper management will approve spending more money. On a failing store? Don't be ridiculous. Maybe get those numbers up and we'll consider adding hours back. But the only way to get those numbers up is with no hours. It's a Catch-22. You're trapped. Slowly, inevitably, the store fails, and then closes.
The Death Spiral is a doomed strategy, but it is the one corporations push in response to investor pressure. It tricks workers into more work for the promise of relief later, if they do well and succeed, not realizing they'll only be asked to do even more next time. So how do you fight it? Know your worth. Don't let anyone give you more work without some kind of kickback. Don't fool yourself into thinking that being indispensable will lead to a reward later.
But the best defense? Join a union.

From Chaos to Clarity: How to Implement Effective Change Strategies
Change is a constant in today’s business landscape. Whether driven by technological advancements, market shifts, or organizational restructuring, change is essential for growth and competitiveness. Yet, many change initiatives fail to achieve their desired outcomes, often due to poor planning and execution. To move from chaos to clarity, organizations need a structured, thoughtful approach that ensures alignment, agility, and engagement.
The Problem: Poorly Executed Initiatives
Ineffective change strategies often lead to:
Employee Resistance: Without a clear understanding of the change, employees may feel threatened or disengaged.
Misaligned Leadership: A lack of consensus among leaders can create confusion and mixed messages.
Delayed or Failed Projects: Inefficient processes and unforeseen obstacles can derail timelines and objectives.
Wasted Resources: Time, money, and effort may be squandered without delivering tangible results.
These challenges underscore the need for effective change management strategies that bring structure, focus, and adaptability to the process.
The Solution: Elements of a Successful Change Management Strategy
An effective change management strategy provides a roadmap for navigating complexity, engaging stakeholders, and achieving goals. Here are the key components:
1. Leadership Alignment
Strong, unified leadership is the foundation of successful change. When leaders are aligned, they provide clear direction and inspire confidence throughout the organization.
Steps to Achieve Alignment:
Define a Shared Vision: Collaboratively establish the purpose and goals of the change initiative.
Commit to Consistent Messaging: Ensure all leaders communicate the same key messages to their teams.
Empower Change Champions: Identify and train influential leaders to advocate for the change and model desired behaviors.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
Engaging stakeholders at all levels ensures buy-in and minimizes resistance.
Strategies for Engagement:
Conduct Stakeholder Analysis: Identify who will be impacted and understand their needs and concerns.
Involve Stakeholders Early: Include employees and managers in planning and decision-making processes.
Foster Open Communication: Create channels for feedback, questions, and dialogue.
3. Clear and Flexible Planning
A comprehensive plan provides direction, while flexibility allows for adaptation to unforeseen challenges.
Planning Essentials:
Set Milestones: Break the initiative into achievable phases with specific goals.
Assign Roles and Responsibilities: Clearly define who is accountable for each aspect of the change.
Build in Flexibility: Anticipate potential obstacles and have contingency plans ready.
4. Leverage Agile Methodologies
Agile principles promote adaptability and iterative progress, making them ideal for managing change in dynamic environments.
Applying Agile to Change Management:
Focus on Small Wins: Implement incremental changes that deliver immediate value and build momentum.
Encourage Collaboration: Foster cross-functional teamwork to address challenges quickly and effectively.
Emphasize Continuous Improvement: Regularly review progress and adjust strategies based on feedback and results.
5. Prioritize Communication
Effective communication ensures that everyone understands the goals, benefits, and progress of the initiative.
Best Practices:
Develop a Communication Plan: Outline how, when, and where messages will be delivered.
Use Multiple Channels: Combine in-person meetings, digital platforms, and written materials to reach all audiences.
Reinforce Key Messages: Reiterate the vision and benefits at every stage of the process.
6. Measure and Celebrate Success
Tracking progress and recognizing achievements motivates teams and reinforces commitment to the change.
Steps to Measure Success:
Define Metrics: Establish clear KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of the initiative.
Gather Feedback: Use surveys, interviews, and performance data to assess impact.
Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledge individual and team contributions to build morale and sustain momentum.
Conclusion
Implementing effective change strategies doesn’t have to feel like navigating chaos. By aligning leadership, engaging stakeholders, embracing agility, and maintaining clear communication, organizations can transform uncertainty into opportunity. Remember, successful change management is about more than achieving short-term goals—it’s about creating a culture that embraces continuous improvement and innovation.
