i've always wanted to do one of these, and you know what they say: better late than never!!! if you don't know how sleepovers work, basically you send one of the prompts below with one of the characters i write for and then i'll respond to them :P
scream - 18+ only, send your whorish thoughts so we can talk
american psycho - select a character and i'll tell you how i think they'd respond to a scary movie
nightmare before christmas - select a character and i'll write a sad blurb for them
it's the great pumpkin charlie brown - select a character and i'll write a happy blurb for them
beetlejuice - send in your random "spooky" headcanon for your favorite character
hocus pocus - select a character and i'll tell you exactly how into halloween they are
get out - select a character and i'll tell you if i think they'd survive a scary movie or not
paranormal activity - i'll cast my mutuals in a movie/tv show of your choice
the craft - 18+ only, fuck, marry, kill

A few of Far Cry 5’s characters’ former names (according to the files)
Did you know that some characters used to have different names? Here’s what I found:
Adelaide Drubman - Penny Johnson (I’m not sure; it’s unclear)
Casey Fixman - Casey Seagal or Casey Storm
Chad Wolanski - Chad Gardetto
Faith Seed - Selena Seed
George Wilson - George Beel
Guy Marvel - Guy Martel (headcanon: it’s still his name but he thought Marvel was a cooler name for a movie director)
Hurk Drubman Senior - Wayne Senior
Joseph Seed - Daniel Seed
Merle Briggs - Merle Clinton
Wilhelmina Mable - Wilhelmina Maybelline
Tammy Barnes - Tammy Palmer (was she supposed to be Eli’s wife? Maybe!)
Tracey Lader - Traci West
Virgil Minkler - Virgil Knutsen
Wendell Redler - Wendell Darrah
Xander Flynn - Bob Johnson (again, like for Adelaide, not sure)
Also, I’ve said this before but Deputy Pratt’s first name is actually Stacy and not Staci. In the files, it’s only not spelled Stacy once, in the end credits... which is also, unfortunately, the only time players had a chance to see it written.
According to the files, Larry Parker’s first name is Laurence, the man we meet near Arcade machines is Morris Aubrey, and the fisherman is Coyote Nelson… but his description in the unreleased in-game encyclopedia also implies he died, so that might be inaccurate.
Below are the names of other Hope County residents (and where they live(d) and/or work(ed)) found in the deleted in-game encyclopedia:
Daniel Holmes — Holmes Residence
Doug and Debbie Hadler — Gardenview Orchards, Ciderworks, and Packing Facility
Rae-Rae Bouthillier — Rae-Rae's Pumpkin Farm
Niesha Howard — Howard Cabin
Emmet Reaves (in the late 1800s) — Copperhead Rail Yard & Prosperity
Will Boyd (from Far Cry: Absolution; his full name is William) — Boyd Residence
Les Doverspike — Doverspike Compound
Mike and Deb Harris — Harris Residence
Wolfgang Dodd — Dodd’s Dumps
Colin Dodd (Nadine Abercrombie’s grandfather) — Dodd Residence
Joe Roberts — Roberts Cabin
Dr. Kim Patterson — Hope County Clinic
Bobby Budell (in 1946) — Flatiron Stockyards
Doug Fillmore — Fillmore Residence
Orville Fall (found gold in 1865) — Catamount Mines
Mike and Chandra Dunagan — Sunrise Farm
The Redler family (Wendell’s) — Red’s Farm Supply
Andrew and Frances Woodson — Woodson Pig Farm
Don Sawyer — Sawyer Residence
Kay Wheeler — Kay-Nine Kennels
Jules Adams (and an unnamed husband) — Adams Ranch
Jerry Miller (and his family) — Miller Residence
Rick Elliot (his full name is Richard according to a message left by Eli) — Elliot Residence
Jay Loresca — Loresca Residence
"Lonely Frank" — Frank’s Cabin
Dicky Dansky — Dansky Cabin
Roy Tanami — Tanami Residence
Mr. Vasquez — Vasquez Residence
Mr. McDevitt — Misty River Gas
Darby McCoy — McCoy Cabin
Dr. Phil Barlow — Barlow Residence
Travis McClean (and his husband Brent) — McClean Residence
Jasmine Chan — Chan Residence
Jerrod Wilson (in the 1800s) — Throne of Mercy Church
Frankie Sinclair — Sinclair Residence
Lydia (in 1912) — Lydia’s Cave
Dwight Feeney (the chemist who worked with Eden’s Gate and dies in the mission “Sins of the Father”) — Feeney Residence
Lorna Rawlings — Lorna’s Truck Stop
Edward O'Hara — O’Hara’s Haunted House
Kanti Jones — Jones Residence
Coyote Nelson — Nelson Residence
Holly Pepper (and her girlfriend Charlie) — Pepper Residence
Nolan Pettis — Nolan’s Fly Shop
Bob and Penny Johnson — Johnson Residence
Melvin Adams Abercrombie — Abercrombie Residence
Steve McCallough — McCallough’s Garage
Dr. Rachel Jessop (who, and I’ll keep saying this every time I can, was never Faith and always another, entirely different person) — Jessop Conservatory
Dwight Seeley — Seeley’s Cabin

I can’t stop loving your headcanons and I would like to see headcanons from you again, but this time I want friendship headcanons between Kirby and Dan, Gord and Chad, Parker and Gord (I think they are kind of friends), Mandy and Zoe (many people forget that they were friends). Sorry, I have so many requests, I’d just like to see your view on their friendship ^^
hiiii! so glad you’re liking my stuff. these are gonna be super short but if you want more in depth analysis….. might i suggest the ko-fi i have special section just for character analysis
MISC FRIENDSHIP HCS
Tumblr media
KIRBY OLSEN AND DAN WILSON
The two runts of the football team! These two share a lot of common interests. Where these two differ is one of them is on the field, and is fairly happy about it, while the other is on the bench and seething. It’s a balancing act, Kirby can’t talk too much about the games without pissing dan off. Dan can’t complain too much about being benched because it’ll make Kirby feel bad.
There’s a mutual respect for each other that I think the other, larger jocks don’t give them. It takes serious balls to be a high school athlete that’s not so jacked its mildly concerning to onlookers. They’re ballsy little dudes.
GORD VENDOME AND CHAD MORRIS
Bitching buddies! These two chat to each other frequently, and make time for gossip. Chad is more level headed than Gord so he is able to keep the other boy grounded when his rumours start to spiral out into the realm of being absolutely ludicrous.
These two take walks around Old Bullworth Vale, often with Chester tagging along. Chad has tried repeatedly to get Gord to walk Chester but he has outright refused every single time. He doesn’t do dogs… what if they ruin his clothes?!
PARKER OGILVIE AND GORD VENDOME
A relationship built on sympathy. A pity friendship, if you will. Gord saw how lonely Parker appeared to be, and how much he appeared to need a friend. It was perfect for Gord because he always did need someone to carry the shopping, Stimpson was losing his edge in his old age.
Eventually, the pity turned into respect. The more they hung out, the more Gord began to realise that Parker was an intellectual equal just as much as he was a social equal, and the pair grew closer.
MANDY WILES AND ZOE TAYLOR
Became friends through the cheer squad, this was before Mandy was promoted to cheer captain. They bonded over music and were pretty close, then the Burton incident happened and they grew apart. Mandy looked up to Mr Burton as a kind of father figure, so she just couldn’t believe Zoe, which naturally strained their relationship.
Zoe really misses Mandy, and wishes they could re-kindle their relationship. The barrier of Mr Burton is the only thing stopping her. Unluckily for Zoe, Mandy has already moved on.

The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Tumblr media
The Conjuring 2 is not as good as its predecessor but those itching to see this sequel will nonetheless be pleased. With an emphasis on the relationships between the characters, you care for the people plunged into this nightmare while eagerly awaiting to see what the film's array of monsters will do to them.
Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) are taking a break from the paranormal after a particularly disturbing trip to the famous Amityville house. They are pulled back into the fray when a single mother, Peggy Hodgson (Frances O’Connor) comes begging for help.
Following this film’s success, one of the primary monsters, a demonic-looking nun, has gotten its own film but the picture dedicated to it doesn’t hold a candle to how frightening it is here. Bonnie Aarons, who played the nightmare-inducing homeless woman in Mulholland Drive has this quality that makes you feel like she's boring into your chest and pouring icy cold water directly into your veins. You're shown enough to get scared, but not too much that you become used to the creature’s appearance. The scene where she is introduced (via a creepy painting inspired by a dream Ed) fills me with chills just thinking about it.
Directed once more by James Wan, this film, much like the first, uses familiar ghost story elements to their full potential. The buildup to the scares is terrific. Each member of the Hodgson family experiences one or two weird little things that let you know what kind of danger they’re in, but isn’t enough for them to pack their bags and leave the house. Splitting the occurences like this sounds like a no-brainer but we've seen it done wrong time and time again. For the most part, the picture does little things to get under your skin and build dread. It’s an out-of-focus shape that slowly changes to reveal something much more terrifying, or a sound that was previously shown to be completely harmless now given a new, sinister purpose.
The most significant aspect of the film isn’t the monster (there are again, more than one and they’re both pretty good, though I like the “Crooked Man” less than the "Nun"), or the way it uses real-world people and events to make it seem convincing. It’s not even the neat twists on the formula brought in right before the climax. It’s the people. With this picture even more than the first, you realize how refreshing it is to have two protagonists in a horror movie. Not a main and a sidekick; a loving couple who care about each other and bring their own strengths to the fight. The scenes of Ed and Lorraine reminiscing about how they met and saying what they mean to each other, combined with the scenes of the Hodgson family banding together provides the climbs that make the sharp plunges generated by the scares that much more effective.
No moment in The Conjuring 2 matches the “hide and clap” scare in the first (just writing those words literally gave me a chill). The writing isn't as sharp either. There's a revelation during the conclusion that feels forced and overall, the film is too long. I still think those looking for scares will be happy. This confident picture delivers what you want to see, expands on the characters and keeps building up its menagerie of creatures. You'll look forward to seeing them again in their own spinoffs.
You have to be truly awful for your horror film not to make gangbusters at the box office but very few franchises manage to make a second trip down the scary lane worth it. By maintaining consistent chills, The Conjuring franchise is proving itself one of the best in the realm of horror. (September 8, 2018)

Hardy - Quit!!
So today on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I will be talking about the latest album from Country/Rock singer Hardy. The latest album combines both worlds of Rock & Country and is titled "Quit!!" and was released on Friday July 12th, 2024. There are 13 tracks on the new album but before we dive into the new project. Let's talk about the career of Hardy for a little bit first.
Hardy (Michael Hardy) has scored chart success with songs like "wait in the truck" featuring Lainey Wilson, "One beer" with Lauren Alaina & Devin Dawson, & "Give Heaven some hell". Other hit songs from Hardy are "I ain't in the country no more", "Rednecker", & "Unapologetically Country as Hell". Hardy has scored 4 number ones on my weekly list MSR (Midnight Star Report) which combines both CMT (Country Music Television), the Billboard Country Music Airplay Charts, & even myself. My weekly list used to include GAC (Great American Country) until the list officially retired at the end of 2018. But before we dive too far off track, let's jump back to this new album.
Michael co-wrote all 13 tracks with the help of names such as Tyler Hubbard (Florida Georgia Line), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Ryan Hurd, & Ernest Keith Smith (ERNEST). Some of the highlights from the new album include songs such as "Quit!!" which is the title track and is a story that Hardy has revolved his whole career around, "Rockstar" & "Good girl phase" featuring Chad Smith. Other songs you should check out are "Psycho", "Happy hour" featuring Knox, & "WHYBMWL" which is one of the stand out songs from the project. And there is "Soul 4 sale" + Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit & his current single is "Six feet under (Caleigh's song)". Here is the rest of the track list now.
Track list.
Quit!!
Rockstar.
Good girl phase (Featuring Chad Smith).
I don't miss.
Psycho.
Happy hour (Featuring Knox).
Jim Bob.
WHYBMWL.
Time to be dead.
Soul 4 sale + Fred Durst.
Live forever.
Orphan.
Six feet under (Caleigh's song).
And that's a wrap for the track list. And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would give this album a 3.75 out of 5 stars. This is a good mix of songs from Hardy. But maybe he needs to pick one side or the other. If you are rock, be rock. If you are Country, be Country. His prior album, the mockingbird & the crow was a really good mix of both. And there was enough for both to be there. Thanks for taking the time to read this review. See ya all next time.
