[incoherent screaming] okay but cha euijae feeling NAUSEOUS by the sudden realization things are better now. they don't need kids to fight, the idea doesn't even occur to anyone because the world is a peaceful place with a stable government and laws and protections in place!!!

combined with Jung Bin's flashback in ch 78. just a short normal conversation yet it's still a vivid memory because how disquieting it was!! (also deeply unsettling to read) the palpable tension that he chose to ignore and regrets to this day.

the other hunter telling him again and again and again to not look too closely. as long as there's plausible deniability and J's identity is uncertain...don't look into it. the nation needs a hero. and then saying that the country is at such a place where sacrifices have to be made...

and Jung Bin feeling guilty to this day for overlooking it (he probably made those minor protection laws that Cha Euijae was surprised about. it fits if he was trying to make up for something)

and thennn also what Lee Sayoung thinks later that is SPOT ON

even the same words "he's not too difficult to deal with." "It made him easier to handle"

HE'S RIGHT!!! everyone DID encourage him, everyone let him throw himself on the sword for the sake of the world!!! that's the words that trigger the flashback in Jung Bin "“Why[are we looking for J]? To throw someone who barely survived the rift back in there?"

AAAH. CHILLING!!! and like...definitely puts into perspective why exactly "the hunter wants to live quietly" by hiding the fact he's alive.

I just picked up a new novel and I’m already starting to regret it because IT HAS THE SAME LEVEL OF TRAGIC-NESS AS ORV 😭😭😭😭😭

ALSO the fact that this is the FIRST ever manhwa I’ve seen that actually has a balance between action and romance!! As we all know, most action manhwas are shit in their romance department, and so are most romance manhwas being shit in their action department. So I was shocked as I continued reading the novel (there’s a manhwa adaptation too! Around 10+ ish right now) and saw how good the world building and power play is. The novel could do with more depth to some of their side characters here and there, but overall, it’s a REALLY good read and I’m sure this story will take the throne in the coming future!!!!!
