Please indulge another one of my insane projects: Vincent & Stuart's bungalow in all its glory ✨

They've got a nice little plot of land in a humble village on the outskirts of Oxford. It's pretty secluded, enough to give a certain vampire his privacy, but it's been well-loved over the years

Here's the main layout:

I like to think there's a nice patio at the side, as well as a garage/shed and a nice forest surrounding it~

The main entryway/living room:

Lots of memorabilia from over the years, as well as a cozy place for their dnd shenanigans. The tv set is appropriately out of date, but they only use it to watch PBS masterpiece (or the british equivalent)

This room leads into the dining area as well:

Across the way is the pantry, stocked with suitable vampire provisions:

And at the front of the house we have Vincent's bedroom:

(he keeps the curtains closed on sunny days, obv)

The toilet is beside the sink against the wall btw (the sudden thought of vincent shitting is so funny to me omg :'D)

(you better believe Quinn is making use of that tub at some point...)

There's also a little nook at the back of the house that leads to outside:

This was suuuch a fun project I totally didn't spend hours upon hours getting the minutest little details hahah....🙃

The Spanish Revival architectural style (stucco/adobe walls, red tile roofs, rounded windows, exposed beams, etc; this piece about filming locations in Chinatown has several high-end and low-end examples) has almost no direct relationship to the history of California but like many aspects of 20th century Californian culture, was a mythic aesthetic created by newcomers. (I am currently reading the opening pages of an article from the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians from 1967, because that's who I am as a person)

This original log home is said to be one of the first three cabins built in the Roanoke Valley, dating back to 1740, with some writings on the walls. The original log cabin has been preserved with the rest of the home built around it. The 2.5-acre property was once an old apple orchard farm. Located on Bent Mountain Road.
