The plaza contains the sculpture Crann an Oir (tree of gold) by Derry sculptor Éamonn O'Doherty, which became a symbol of the Central Bank, Irish Banking, and the Celtic Tiger boom and bust. When I was younger I thought that it was named "The Money Tree".

Marienplatz Plaza, Munich, Germany: Marienplatz is a central square in the city centre of Munich, Germany. It has been the city's main square since 1158. During the Middle Ages, markets and tournaments were held in the Marienplatz, which was originally called Markth ("market"), Schranne ("grain market") and later Schrannenplatz ("grain market square").
