Personal Notes: Yep, I'm back!
I was trying to find an official one where Garrett did the closing where he called the movie, "The Triple Frontier", instead. I couldn't find it besides this compilation video made by Hollywood Celebrity World on YouTube which I am still grateful for. However, I decided to transcribe this version from the movie's official Facebook page where Pedro does the closing and it has captions imbedded in the video. I'm mainly doing this for my reference.
The mera video transcription is a-coming. My IRL stuff is somewhat settling down a bit. I'll catch you all in the next post.

chapter seven: cutting ties
word count: 2.4k
Redlight: ... [6]
note: this was a lot of fun to make, and the love/support makes me so happy! I hope everyone enjoyed this series as much as I did <3
Now it was time for phase two of his plan: kill Rana Singh
Queenie had called your cell phone late last night. While you were laying next to Devu, talking about his fight with Sher Khan and holding hands, your phone buzzed.
“I don’t know where the hell you’ve been these past few days but you better have your ass here tomorrow,” Queenie growled into the phone. Putting the phone on speaker, you set the phone to where Devu could hear as well.
“Baba Shakti is celebrating at the King’s Club, which means that Chief Rana will be there to guard him. I need tomorrow to go perfectly, which means I need your ass in a red dress on his lap before dinner, you hear me?” Her voice was increasing in volume by the second. “Not the club dress, that one’s too distasteful. I need you in that one evening gown,” she explained calmly, her tone doing a 180.
“Okay,” you assured, looking at Devu and forming a plan in your mind. “I’ll be there.”
“Great, see you then.” You could practically hear the smile through the phone. Devu went to speak but you hushed him, your mind racing as you thought of your plan.
It was relatively simple. When you went to the club, you would stash a knife in the kitchen so you could retrieve it before meeting with Rana. It would be hidden under your dress, along with a small firework explosive. Devu would break into the kitchen and make his way into the elevator. You tried to persuade him to take a quieter, more discreet route, but he wanted to make as much noise and destruction as possible. Once he made it into the lounge, you would set off your explosive at Rana while Devu fired his explosives into the air, causing as much chaos as possible.
Rana Singh would die, and then you would be free. Both of you would be free.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Making it into the kitchen, you grabbed the knife and took the elevator to the dressing rooms. Changing into an elegant red dress, with the knife and explosive hidden on your thigh, you did your makeup. Hands shaking, you had to take a deep breath to calm your nerves. You didn’t speak to anyone–not even Sita.
Soon the guests arrived and were escorted into the lounge. Rana saw you waiting patiently by the wall near across the elevator doors and joined you.
“Hey, baby,” he whispered, voice deep and rich.
“Hey there yourself, handsome,” you purred, leaning closer to him. Making small talk, the guests sat themselves and a man took to the stage. “Is that…?” you asked quietly in fake astonishment.
“Baba Shakti?” Rana finished. “Yeah, I’m guarding him tonight,” he smirked, eyes scanning over the entire room. He smiled handsomely. “So you can’t distract me too much tonight, hmm? Even though you’re simply to die for.” He made a point by grabbing a handful of your ass.
Gasping in surprise, you giggled. “Oh, baby, you have no idea.”
“Ladies and gentlemen,” the man on the stage started. “What an honor it is to be here with the Sovereign Party on the cusp of our historic victory.”
Rana immediately went to work and diligently scanned the crowd.
“One day, the maharajas on these walls will be replaced with portraits of each and every one of you,” the speaker smiled, making the audience quietly laugh. “We will rid Mother India of her scars and make her beautiful once more. I would like to acknowledge the great contribution of a mighty chief of police, Rana Singh!” The crowd applauded him, and you did as well, along with giving him a small kiss on the cheek. “His courage and integrity has led to Yatana’s lowest crime rate.”
‘Devu should be making his way through the kitchen,’ you thought, still standing by Rana.
“There is still one other person, without whose blessing, we would not be here. My guru. My mentor. His Holiness…Indian’s lion…Baba Shak-!”
A huge explosion from below you shook the walls and flickered the lights. The crowd gasped and murmured amongst themselves. Rana, now at full attention, began looking around the room for possible answers.
Your hand slowly shifted down your thigh and through a hidden slit. Grabbing the explosive, you shifted behind Rana so he couldn’t see. There was a candle a few feet away from you. If only you could just…
The elevator doors opened with a ding! Devu’s explosive fireworks flew into the room and straight for Rana. Taking this as an opportunity, you lept towards the candle to light your own explosive while Rana shielded himself with his arm. Everyone rushed to the nearest exit, screaming, which left you a nice and clear target.
With no warning, you lit the firework and watched as it exploded against Rana Singh. It caused his skin to open and welt, but if it hurt him he didn’t let it show. Devu was lighting his own fireworks and making impressive work out of Rana’s men.
“You bitch!” Rana yelled, voice growling dangerously. He stalked towards you. Turning to run, he grabbed the hem of your dress, pulling you to the ground. Rolling out of the way of a punch, your hand quickly found the hidden knife in your dress, but unfortunately, Rana was able to pick you up and throw you back onto the floor.
Groaning, you stumbled back and onto your feet in time to meet Rana’s fist, but you ducked just in time. Using the momentum, you sank your blade into his shoulder with a grunt of effort.
Rana yelled in pain and pushed you away, back onto the floor. Grabbing the handle of the knife, he yanked out the blade and stalked towards you. Just as you stood up, his hand wrapped around your throat and constricted. Your scream attracted the attention of Devu, which Rana took note of.
Instinctively, your own hands flew to paw and claw at Rana’s, but it was useless. Rana started to walk forwards, which made you instinctively want to walk backwards as to lessen the pressure on your neck. Your back hit the wall of the elevator room and the hand on your throat increased in pressure.
Devu heard the elevator ding. Looking over, his eyes widened in dread as Rana Singh met his stare, his hand still choking you.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Devu rushed after you as quickly as possible. Alpha and her warriors arrived, which let him focus his attention on you. However, Queenie arrived with a gun and almost shot him. Sita managed to strike a devastating blow against Queenie's head, killing her and allowing Devu to sever her thumb for later use.
Devu tried to catch his breath during the elevator ride to the VIP lounge, but the thought of you in danger through that out the window. Hands clenching with blood, he readied himself to save you.
When the doors to the VIP lounge slid open, he heard a wet gasping and several body blows. Throwing all caution to the wind, he sprinted inside to find you. Laying in a small puddle of blood, you gasped for air, crying. The knife you struck Rana with was now in your own shoulder, blood oozing out of the wound.
He’s seen this before, hasn’t he? Devu, paralyzed by the memory of his mother, looked at you in horror as the realization of the similarities set in. Immobilized by fear, Rana took advantage of his trap and struck Devu across the face, sending him to the ground next to you. Your bloody face with eyes peering into him would haunt him for the rest of his life.
“Finally out of your tree, huh?” Rana mused. “Get up.”
Devu groaned as he got up, giving you one more heartbroken glance before steadying himself for a fight.
“Did your mother send you back for more?”
Devu dodged Rana’s heavy punches with incredible speed. They exchanged several blows, but Devu was fully prepared for this fight. He was able to knock Rana down briefly, but the chief of police shoved him through a glass display, temporarily halting Devu’s progress.
“Get up, motherfucker!” Rana let Devu rise to his feet. “You son of a whore. What are you looking at?” Following his gaze, he saw that Devu was watching you slowly climb off the floor and rest your back against a tipped over table. The knife was out of your shoulder and rested loosely in your palm.
Rana hummed and chuckled. “The son of a whore is in love with a whore. How romantic.”
Devu went feral. Yelling, he dodged another blow and kicked Rana in the thigh, stunning him slightly. Sizing each other up briefly, Devu glared at Rana with fire in his eyes before they each threw a punch, which landed on the other’s punch. Rana shook his hand to ease the pain as Devu just watched.
It was over for Rana. Devu, now wild and reckless, attacked the man with full abandon. Rana got sent to the floor. Devu, panting, strolled to you and grabbed your shoe that had slipped off. He winked at you before striking Rana across the face with the heel.
It was…terrifying to see Devu like this. He striked Rana again a few more times with the heel of your shoe before dropping it to the ground. Grabbing Rana by his hair, eyes crazed, he punched him again, sending him to the floor.
“Get up,” Devu ordered. “Get up!” Rana groaned; he rolled onto his back as he wheezed for breath.
You watched–eyes wide in horror–as Devu delivered blow after blow onto the man’s face, killing him with nothing but his fists. A large puddle of blood flowed out and away from his head, life slipping away with it.
As if suddenly remembering, he turned on his foot and dashed to you, yelling your name. He extended his hand rather quickly to help you up, but you flinched. Devu’s eyes widen and his brows knit together, realizing that you just watched him kill a man with his bare hands. His bloody hands shook as he displayed them, trying to relay that he was no harm.
“No, no-no-no-no!” he mumbled quickly. “It-it’s okay! It’s over. It’s done.”
Breathing raggedly, you shifted against the wall but moaned in pain. Devu instantly came to your side, helping you stand and lean against him. The blood on his hands transferred to your skin.
Devu helped you get into the elevator. His finger hovered over the lobby button, but you smacked his hand away with effort. His brows furrowed in confusion.
“Penthouse,” you gasped. “Shakti’s there.”
“But you need-”
You shook your head. “I’m f-fine. I can wait.” Devu watched you, unsure. “Baba Shakti will get away if we don’t go now.”
Devu, eyes still on you, slowly retrieved Queenie’s severed thumb from his pocket and used it to get into the penthouse. The blood on your hands made it difficult to keep the blade in your grasp.
“Welcome, Queenie.”
Devu maneuvered your arm to wrap around his shoulder for better stabilization. The elevator display screen image turned into a crown, signaling that you had made it to the penthouse. The doors opened to reveal Baba Shakti sitting across the wall, foot lazily splashing in the water below his seat. Devu and you slowly walked towards him, stopping beside the painting of Hanuman.
“So you are the one?” Baba Shakti looked out the window and at the fireworks dancing across the sky. “Look at them all…Diwali. The triumph of light over darkness. The defeat of Ravana. But Ravana was no demon. He was a scholar. A visionary. He built an empire out of nothing.”
The man shook the water from his foot and grabbed his shoes before coming to a stop in front of you two. “Why not end this cycle of violence? Or we will be trapped in it for generations.”
“Do you even know my mother’s name?” Devu asked quietly. “Do you know any of their names?”
Baba Shakti rolled his eyes. “Anger will not quiet your soul, my son.”
“Don’t call me ‘son.’”
The man scoffed softly and tapped his wooden shoes together. “These were carved by a devout follower, who wore them to protect his feet from harming any small creature. On the side here, there’s an old prayer: ‘Forgive me, Mother Earth, for the sin of injury which I inflict with each step.’”
A helicopter slowly whirred outside, its beacon blinding you with its light.
“My chariot is here.”
Baba Shakti revealed a hidden blade from his shoe and stabbed Devu in the stomach. He gasped and gripped the hand that was twisting the blade further into his abdomen.
Quickly, you brought your blade over your head to stab the guru, but he was too quick. His second blade from his other shoe lodged itself into your chest. Screaming, you dropped the knife, landing it right onto his arm, the one that was still holding the blade. Baba Shakti shrieked and let go of both blades as fell backwards onto the ground, his good arm holding the wounded one.
Eyes suddenly becoming hazy, you slipped off of Devu’s shoulder and onto the ground. With your hand feeling the hole in your chest, you gasped raggedly as you kneeled on the floor. Blood seeped past your fingertips and onto the marble.
Devu became overrun with anger and allowed his adrenaline to kick into overdrive. Yelling, he took the blade that was in his stomach and lunged for Baba Shakti. Sinking the weapon into his chest multiple times–the same place he stabbed you–he readied himself for the final blow.
Shakti gurgled, blood flowing past his lips. “You can’t,” he said weakly. “These people need me. Please, I’ll give you what you want.” He started to plead. “I’ll do anything. Forgive me! Ha-ha-have mercy, please!”
“Only God can forgive you now.”
Devu heaved the small blade above his head and stabbed it in the middle of Baba Shakti’s forehead, killing him instantly. Panting quietly, Devu stumbled to his feet and clutched his stomach. His eyes slowly panned over to you, and he screamed in agony.
There you were–lying on the floor, hand to your chest, eyes staring into nothing.
He didn’t bother to stifle the sob that escaped him. Crashing onto his knees, he gently picked up your head and let it rest in his lap. Bending down to kiss your forehead, tears raining onto your face, he placed a small kiss on your temple.
He did not get back up.
His body slumped over yours.
Three bodies entered the room that night. Not one made it back out.

So here's the Yangdem Olympians AU no one except @h0bg0blin-meat asked for (made an art for it too) and inspired by Imane Khelif's situation.
If you are reading this fic and like it in some way, do lemme know how you feel about it! 😊
Battle of Wills
Pairings : Yangki x Sudem
Characters : Yangki Deori, Sudem Boruah, Original Characters
Word Count : 2533
Yangki walked into the olympic boxing arena for the final time, shouts of her and her country’s name echoing around the stadium as her name was announced on the speakers, creating a charged and energetic atmosphere from the audience.
But Yangki was only focused on one thing. To do something no Indian woman has ever done before.
She felt nervous and anxious, feeling the hopes and prayers of 1.2 billion people riding on her shoulders.
However, her coach, sensing her heightened nerves told her something, something that was said by a certain someone five days back.
*
“And Bianca Russo from Italy has withdrawn from the match in under one minute! This means Yangki Deori of India wins the Quarterfinal round of 75kg!”
Yangki, however, only felt shock at her opponent’s decision and then pure elation as she realized she had just secured a medal win.
An olympic medal win. Every athlete’s dream which only less than 1% of them get to achieve.
She tried hard not to tear up at the moment because after all the allegations of her being a man and banned from participating in the last year’s world championships, because of some mere suspicions, she finally, finally, had a chance to prove her worth again.
However, she should have sensed something was off when her opponent chose not to shake hands with her and stomped off the ring angrily
*
Yangki took a deep breath now and stepped into the ring, the words from her coach of fifteen years, Samarth Verma and Sudem ringing in her ears.
“Give them hell.”
Speaking of Sudem, she knew he would be watching from the stands and cheering for her, just like she did for him when he won that historic bronze medal in fencing.
*
Yangki watched the match with her heart drumming in her ears.
Two points.
Sudem was only two points away from creating history. The match kept getting more tense as his opponent took another point and now they were both equal.
Yangki kept cheering for him ever since the first second of the match started and now it was a point where anyone could win this.
At that moment, her heart was beating so fast, she closed her eyes and heard the familiar sound of a point scored. She did not dare open her eyes.
She knew the match had ended as the uproar had now gotten deafening. She knew someone had won.
“And the bronze medal goes to Sudem Boruah of India!”
Her eyes flew open and she screamed as loud as she could because Sudem had won! He just won and created history!
Her shout had thankfully got drowned out by the Indian spectators celebrating his win but at that very moment, Sudem caught her eye.
With tears streaming down his face, he made a heart with both his hands at her. She grinned at him tearfully and repeated his gesture.
She grinned at him as he stood on the podium, seeing the precious bronze medal adorning his neck.
And when he met her as he exited the arena, she screamed and ran into his arms, hugging the life out of him as her love had now created history and joined the ranks of the people who had become Olympic medallists.
*
She touched the gloves of her opponent, Amelia Matthews of Great Britain, and went to her corner as the bell rang.
She knew what her strategy was for tonight.
She landed some hits, moved away from some and kept light on her feet as her opponent kept charging at her with all she had got.
With round one ending, the judges scored in Matthews’ favour, shocking everybody present in the arena and those who were watching.
It was very clear that Yangki was more dominant in the first round.
Sudem leapt to his feet and angrily yelled a curse as the crowd uproared and booed at the referees' decision.
After all, what did they know about how Yangki had felt when she was being trolled, abused and lashed out at from everywhere just four days back?
*
Five days back
Few minutes.
A few minutes was all it took for everything to go to hell.
When Yangki’s match had ended, the Italian boxer was asked about her match and her statement had created a storm.
“It was like getting hit by a man.”
The uproar at her statement had caused a spark of controversy, leading to Yangki getting trolled, abused and harassed online in the following hours and faced the media questions that brought her painful memories of the world championship again.
The world championship of last year where she was tested several times for her gender and banned from participating because they determined she was not a woman.
She was targeted because she had more visible lean muscles and height than the other opponents of her weight category.
It was her sheer effort that she had not broken down then and there at the media center.
But Sudem knew she was barely holding it altogether, somehow managing to hold her head high as she faced the disgusted and accusing glares of many people who hated her while coming back to her room.
She, however, broke down in his arms as they sat in a corner of a quiet hallway together, his heart breaking at her sobs, because it should have been her moment to celebrate, not mourn it.
Not after everything she had gone through the last few months.
*
Samarth was horrified at the referees’ decision. And angry too.
His student was clearly better than the British boxer and yet, they refused to declare the first round in her favour.
As Yangki sat down on the stool, still stunned, he thought of an idea.
A very risky one but one that could guarantee a clear win for Yangki.
“Yangki, listen to me,” Samarth thought to tell her the cold facts and get it over with as soon as possible. “They are not going to let you win at this rate.”
She was shocked to hear that but he continued.
“But I have an idea, it's very risky and I think you can totally do it.”
As he started explaining the idea to her, stalling the referee at the same time who needed to start the bout, Yangki’s eyes widened but she nodded at him, determined.
And stood back up again for round two with fire in her eyes.
*
Four days back
However, not everything was as bleak as it looked to be.
That night for dinner, Yangki’s archer roommate and her friends accompanied them both to dinner, throwing back glares at anyone who glared at Yangki, showing she was not alone.
Many of the Indian athletes later on extended their support by congratulating her on her win and wishing her best for her next bout.
On the internet, the Boxing Federation of India, Sports Authority of India and many other big and small people and organizations came to her defense.
*
Two days back
When Yangki walked into the arena for her semifinals, she was met with the roaring supportive cheers and booing alike.
Inspite of all of that, she chose to ignore the crowd entirely and fight the Thai boxer who had beaten her all the times Yangki had fought with her.
Needless to say, she let out all of the anger she had been carrying with her in the ensuing three rounds, guided by her coach and never letting the Thai dominate her at any time.
One hit by her opponent resulted in Yangki hitting another two or even three on her.
When Yangki was declared as the winner, she could only jump in happiness as she realized what she had accomplished in that moment.
The Thai boxer gave her a hug and congratulated her heartily on her win.
*
(When the boxer was interviewed after the match, she only told that it was a big shock for her to lose against Yangki for the first time and wasn’t satisfied with herself but nonetheless was content to win a medal for her country.)
*
Yangki moved into the ring and started landing quick hits on her opponent.
The goal in this round was to either knock her down or out in any (legal) way. She chose to go for her face to disorient her and deliberately misfired hits on her arms as she took some hits to tire her out.
Instead of watching Yangki, Samarth had his focus on Matthews to mark the exact moment for Yangki to knock her out. There was only a minute left and so far, he couldn’t find any opening. He had specifically instructed her he will only call out at the point she will have to make her move.
Their patience and efforts paid off as Samarth found an opening in Matthews’ weakening defense and yelled to Yangki.
“Maar!”
Yangki wasted no time in hitting a roundhouse punch and Matthews lost her balance and fell down.
It took her somewhere near six seconds and the referees’ count of two to get back up, effectively losing 2 points off her round as the bell rang for round two.
To no one’s surprise, the round was clearly in Yangki’s favour at 10-8, owing to Matthews’ knockdown.
*
One day ago
Matthews was quite vocal in her interviews about her opinions on Yangki and trash talked about her as much as she could.
She went as far as to share some posts on instagram how she had to fight a man and how India always somehow lost in the final round.
Everyone in the Indian camp kept Yangki away from the news, knowing it was Matthews’ mind games to pressurize her as Yangki was stressed about her finals already.
*
That evening after her training, when Yangki had some free time, she sat with Sudem in the same quiet corner of the hallway again, resting her head on his shoulder and intertwining her large fingers with his smaller ones.
“What do you think is going to happen tomorrow?” She asked quietly.
Sudem knew her doubts like they were his own. He knew just like the semifinals, she was up against someone she had always lost to. More than that, Amelia Matthews had participated in 89 international matches and never lost a single one in her career.
He remembered that he had asked her the same thing before his bronze medal match.
And just like she had assured him, he said the same thing to her.
“Whatever happens tomorrow, my love, I will always love you and be proud of you.”
*
The bell for the third and final round rang and Sudem could feel his heart drumming in his ears.
The time was ticking down and so far, both of the boxers looked equally good in the ring.
Matthews, after her brief knockdown in the last round, had come back with anger and she was doing all she could to make up for the mistake of the second round.
Samarth, however, had told Yangki to stick to their strategy to knock her down but so far, it looked like the strategy was not going to work.
Matthews knew what they were trying to do, so she kept moving out of Yangki’s way, playing and toying with her like she was some easy prey.
After a minute had passed, however, Yangki switched up her strategy and loosened her attacks, allowing Matthews to land some hits on her and astonishing Samarth and everyone else who was watching her.
They all thought that Yangki had got tired, only defending as much as she could and so Matthews sped up her attacks on her.
However, with only a minute remaining, Matthews slowed down and dropped her defense a little.
But unfortunately for her, it was the moment Yangki was waiting for. As soon as her defense was totally absent, Yangki threw a punch, disorienting her so bad she stumbled away from her in surprise.
And before she could even start to recover from the shock, Yangki threw another punch at her, knocking her down again on the ground.
Everyone’s shock was evident as everyone realized what she had done.
She had just used her opponent’s strength to her advantage.
Even though Matthews got back up on the referees’ count of three, everyone knew the match was over for the British woman and as soon as the bell rang, the crowd bursted into an uproar.
Yangki, for her part, clutched her abdomen as it had taken the most damage and only managed to grab a towel from her coach to hold it to her bleeding nose as her gloves were removed before she was called to the center again.
When the referee raised her hand upward, denoting her as the winner of the gold medal, Sudem screamed loudly in happiness.
It took Yangki being hugged by Samarth to realize she had just won the gold medal. And then, she screamed in happiness, despite the constant pain she was in because she realized what she had just done.
She had created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win a gold medal.
She hugged Samarth again, who was openly crying and then her team, who were beaming and applauding for her.
And then, her eyes darted furiously, trying to find the one person who was her home and her comfort through all of this mess.
She ignored all of the press trying to shove their mics in her face and the cameras trying to get every shot of her.
She found him, making a heart with his hands and beamed at him. And then, did something by her heart and not her head.
She went upto the stands as much as she can from the outside, Sudem following her move and meeting her in the middle.
“Congratulations, oh my god, you did it!” he whispered to her. But she wasn’t listening to his words.
She, instead, pulled him into a kiss, right in front of everyone who either cheered for her even more or gasped at her bold move.
(There were even catcalls and teasing remarks from their new friends who had come to see her match, but they chose not to pay any attention.)
Sudem was stunned by her move momentarily but kissed her back, forgetting about everything but the woman around whose, his arm was wrapped and her lips on his as she had just created history.
*
And when the national anthem had started playing, Sudem and Samarth had openly cried while Yangki only smiled wide, taking in and basking in the moment.
*
Amid gender controversy, Yangki Deori wins the historic gold
Yangki Deori wins gold, creates history
Yangki Deori and Sudem Boruah revealed to be dating - netizens call for their wedding
Internet blows up after Yangki Deori wins gold, kisses her boyfriend
*
However, Yangki and Sudem chose not to check the internet and only replied to calls from their parents.
They both had given interviews in a press conference after their respective wins and knew they were not going to have a moment to breathe as soon as they left for India.
For now, they both sat content in the hallway again, taking in all the quiet they could before they started a new journey of their lives again.

Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is a feminist, champion of human rights and gender equity, and global role model. Her lifelong advocacy for women and girls remains a constant thread she weaves through both humanitarian and business ventures. She is noted as one of the most powerful and influential women in the world, topping lists such as TIME Magazine’s Most Influential People, The Financial Times’ 25 Most Influential Women, Variety Power of Women, and British Vogue’s Vogue 25. She and her husband, Prince Harry have also been the recipients of the NAACP President’s Award as well as the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award. Meghan’s global impact, and strong stance on resilience, equality, and compassion through action, have made her one of the most iconic public figures of this generation.
Born and raised in Southern California, Meghan attended Los Angeles based all-girls Catholic School, Immaculate Heart, which she continues to support as an alumna, before moving to Chicago to attend the prestigious Northwestern University. While there, she double majored in Theater and International Relations, and went on to intern at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as to study abroad in Madrid, Spain. After graduation, Meghan turned her focus to the entertainment industry, landing her big break as a lead actor on the hit series, ‘Suits’ which she starred in for seven seasons. During her time off between filming, Meghan travelled to Rwanda, India, and across the globe working on humanitarian missions, and serving in key roles such as: UN Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership, a World Vision Global Ambassador, and a leading Counsellor to One Young World, where she inspired youth and women around the world through her passionate advocacy and hands-on approach to being of service. She also travelled to support the military community on a USO Tour, visiting six military bases in seven days including Bagram, Afghanistan. In 2018, Meghan married Prince Harry, becoming The Duchess of Sussex.
An accomplished writer, she has contributed pieces to publications in the UK, US, and Ireland, and parlayed that skill into the creation of the successful lifestyle website, ‘The Tig’, where her thoughtful and inspiring op-eds cultivated a global fanbase. The Duchess of Sussex was the first guest editor in the history of British Vogue for their July Issue in 2019, which was the fastest selling copy in the history of the publication. She and Prince Harry founded The Archewell Foundation in 2020 to support communities in need at a micro and macro level, in both moments of crisis as well as for long term aid. At The Archewell Foundation, they hold the value that charitable work should not simply be ‘a handout, but rather a hand held’, a phrase which Meghan first coined when supporting UK charity Smart Works, of which she is patron, that uplifts and prepares underserved women to enter the workforce. Meghan and her husband also founded and oversee production company, Archewell Productions and podcasting arm, Archewell Audio. In 2022, Meghan launched ‘Archetypes’, a record-breaking podcast exploring the labels that try to hold women back; ‘Archetypes’ debuted at Number 1 in The US, UK, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand, and topped the charts as the Number 1 podcast in 47 countries, demonstrating her unparalleled global reach. After its first season, Archetypes was awarded was awarded The People’s Choice Award in the podcast category.
She is a NY Times Best Selling author, publishing her highly celebrated children’s book, ‘The Bench’, and “Together: Our Community Kitchen” a publication she spearheaded with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen in the UK, who were displaced after the tragic Grenfell Fire. True to her character, The Duchess of Sussex mobilized to turn pain into purpose, working alongside this dynamic group of women to help them heal, grow, and develop their own business enterprises in the face of adversity. In addition to topping the NY Times Bestsellers list, “Together,” also debuted as number one on the UK’s Sunday Booklist, with proceeds going to the Kitchen. Meghan’s influence in fashion has been coined “The Meghan Effect” with items selling out within hours of her wearing them. Her ‘effect’ has transcended fashion, shifting cultural conversations as seen with her op-ed for the NY Times “The Losses We Share.” The piece detailed a heartbreaking personal loss which spiked the conversation surrounding miscarriage to the highest it had been spoken of in over two decades at the time of publishing.
Meghan is a passionate advocate for mental health and family care, the holistic support of women and children’s rights, and the immeasurable value of one’s self worth. Her core belief that representation matters, and her connection to community through the lens of learning, healing, and inspiring have helped define her as a cultural catalyst for positive change. Meghan resides in California with her husband and their children Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana, and their three dogs.

"Don't hate the player, hate the game." Maybe we should hate both. There's padding a resume but then there's a work of fiction which is what Meghan Markle is determined to pass off as her professional bio. Grab your sick bucket🤢 before examining more proof that this vile woman can't tell THE TRUTH even if her life depends on it. There simply aren't enough pinocchios in the world to highlight these lies.

Swami Vivekananda Quotes - National Youth Day 2024
One of India's greatest spiritual masters, Swami Vivekananda, is recognized for having elevated Hindu philosophy to a global prominence. His well-known address at the 1893 World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago permanently altered public perception of India. This Chicago speech is regarded as the best speech delivered by an Indian speaker. In his speech, Vivekananda brought up communalism, religious intolerance, and bloodshed. Ramakrishna Mission was created by Swami Vivekananda. In honor of the great saint Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of his birth, we have collected a few of his timeless sayings that still hold true today. On January 12, 1863, Swami Vivekananda was born in Calcutta, British India, as Narendra Nath Datta. In India, January 12, also known as Yuva Diwas, is celebrated as National Youth Day in honor of Swami Vivekananda.
“ Experience is the only teacher we have. We may talk and reason all our lives, but we shall not understand a word of truth.. ”
“ I pray to God that every one of you may become a bright, shining lamp, and carry the light into the world.. ”
“ अपने सपनों को अपनी मेहनत से मिलता है, और उन्हें पूरा करने के लिए हमें उन पर विश्वास करना होता है।. ”
“ In a day, when you don’t come across any problems – you can be sure that you are travelling in a wrong path. ”
“ It is the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once you believe in a thing, it has the power to become real.. ”

Hi hi 👋😁👋 can you do an au where Piri is with the Latino family/Spanish family, and with Spain as a big happily family well kinda little bit of chaos.
(I mean this doesn't have to be an AU, this could just be scenario where they're visiting each other)
Warning: google translate was used
Not many know this, but Piri has his own version of Spanish. It's called Chavacano, slightly different from actual Spanish but it's so alike that people from Zamboanga can have a Spanish conversation with anyone from Spanish speaking countries.
That being said, Piri actually does know Spanish. As being the personification of the country requires him to be fluent of all the languages and dialects found in his home.
He just pretends not to, to f*ck with people. Especially the Spanish speakers who have trouble with english! Like he'd visit their house, speaks in english which forces the host to also speak in english, and then just reveal in the end that he could've just spoken in Chavacano for them.
Piri: Hey kuya! I have a secret to tell you
Mexico: (struggling) Ah, a secret! W-what is it?
Piri: Tengo mi propia versión de español que hablo con fluidez (I have my own version of Spanish that I speak fluently)
Mexico: ...entonces tienes chistes ¿eh? (So you have jokes, huh?)
The puto over reaction never goes away, but Piri is getting tired of it. 'Oh no, you named your food after swear words!' okay he gets it! That's been long established, so get over it already!
Piri: And for snacks we're having, puto!
Spain: *Gasps*
Piri: Oh shut up, Spain! You know exactly what puto is in my place!
Spain: Could you atleast change it's name? It's still jarring that...that's what you call that thing.
Piri: For your information, it's named after India's puttu. Not everything I have came from you, seriously get over yourself. And even if I want to, I can't, it has already made quite a name for itself that it would be impossible to re-brand it now.
Since America's birthday is also his friendship day with Piri, he ofcourse gets the right to go to his place and celebrate. But there was this time, when Piri asked if he could invite extra guests and Alfred allowed it. And the extra guests happened to be his neighbors from down south. And you know how Spanish birthdays go down.
Cuba: What are you waiting for amigo?...blow the candles
Mexico: Yeah hermano, blow them...
America: Aha, uhh-yeah sure dudes
*Proceeds to get his head be pushed down by the two, but managed to keep it up*
America: P-Phil! Help! Heelp!
Piri: Help? Okay
*Proceeds to push his own hand, on Alfred's head*
America: I meant me! Help me!
Piri: Oooh, I'm already helping them tho, so-
(yeah they definitely act like little sh*ts together)
As the only Asian in the family, the Latinos/Spanish definitely threw some Asian jokes at his way. Not the overly racist ones, just the generally funny ones that makes everyone laugh. Like pretending to be the strict Asian parent that wants their kid to be a doctor.
Most of the time, Piri does find them funny. But other times, he really doesn't have the time for that.
Piri: Spain! I'm here to-!
Spain: (in exaggerated accent) Don't talk to me, till you are doctor
Piri: Wha-? But this is importa-!
Spain: Well are you doctor?
Piri: No, but you're currently under my care as your-
Spain: Then don't talk to me not-doctor-son of mine!
Mexico: Ooooh! Emotional Damage!
Piri: Fine! Deal with your own useless sick ass self then!
Spain: No, wait! I'm sorry-

📑日本語 Weekly Report 2023: Week 1 » 1/1/23 - 7/1/23
The above picture was clicked by one of my close friends in our college cafeteria on the first day of our final semester (2nd Jan '23). We'd gone to the cafe after our classes ended and I decided to end the day with a cup of steaming hot chocolate (our college cafe's hot chocolate is DELICIOUS!) The book in the picture is Short Stories in Japanese: New Penguin Parallel Text.
🏮Highlights of the Week:
I joined the No Zero Days Langblr Challenge created by @chenopodiumlang and have been posting updates of what I've been doing daily in Japanese. I'm really enjoying the challenge so far as it is helping me be more mindful about how I'm studying Japanese and the time I'm actually spending on different skills. I hope to utilise what I've learnt from this week's challenge to make more realistic and mindful goals for the upcoming weeks.
I joined the Read Everyday & Listen Everyday 2023 challenges on the WaniKani forums for the first time! Participating in these challenges has probably been my biggest impetus in trying to build a daily habit in practising immersion in Japanese. It does take me a long time to catch up on the replies on both of the threads & I'm not regular with the logs there, but reading about everyone's daily progress inspires me a lot! If any of you are participating in the challenges, please feel free to let me know, I'll support you over there!
I participated in an online zoom session of a book club where we read a story on how New Year is celebrated in Japan. It was fun to read along with everyone and listening to people from both India and Japan share their experiences on how they celebrate New Year. (4th Jan '23)
I've been regularly listening to podcasts in Japanese! Podcasts are my current ideal resource for listening practice, as I can listen to them during my commute from uni and then later read through the transcripts, if they are available. I've also discovered many podcasts lately, and I hope to create a post sharing them for other Japanese learners here :)
💭Some Reflections
Participating in the No Zero Days Challenge, I realised that I tend to feel overwhelmed if I end up doing a lot in Japanese in one go. Because of that, I've decided to space out my study schedule throughout the day instead of doing everything all at once. On weekdays, for example, I plan to do listening practice during my commute, so that I can have enough time for reading practice once I get back home.
It's taking me quite some time to create the daily update posts, which is why I haven't been creating and posting much on my main blog. I'm thinking of scheduling a particular time each day for writing and posting the update for that day (maybe 11pm), so that I can keep some time for creating Japanese posts for Tumblr.
I'd initially planned to dedicate Saturdays to studying for the JLPT, but couldn't make it this week. I feel I'll have to get better at scheduling if I really want to include everything I'm working on at the moment.
