Aight I've heard the whole "the normal amount of pain is zero" thing but like how much pain is the normal amount after relatively strenuous and/or unusual activity? Like when you're doing stuff you wouldn't necessarily normally do and you're not used to it? By that I mean being on your feet for four to five hours lol I have no idea how people work eight-hour shifts at my job

#bambi's rambling #tbh its not too bad as long as i can keep moving because then its not as painful as standing #but after a while it gets *bad*#i started doing some exercises for planar fasciitis but that only helps it not hurt for the entire rest of the day anymore after i get home #it doesnt stop it from hurting during my shift #idk maybe i'm overthinking this and its just a normal amount of pain for working on your feet?#btw when I say 'strenuous and unusual activity' I mean for me #I wasn't on my feet nearly as much before I got this job a few months ago #i'm just mildly curious if the foot/knee pain from standing is normal or if it'll go way eventually lol #i mean there's a good chance i'm just overreacting about this anyway i feel like it cant be that serious yknow?#nobody acts like its weird when i tell them so its gotta be some level of normal at least #maybe its just cause i only work three days of the week and thats not enough to get used to it or something idk #i'm only at this job for a couple more weeks so its not a big deal tbh it wont be much longer

Aughhhhh I had half a veg wrap and a bowl of ramen broth and a green juice and a DayQuil and all my usual meds and vitamins and inhalers and a sumatriptan for the burgeoning migraine and I still feel sooo bad and have to leave at 6 am for work tomorrow. I'm packing a green juice and a half veg wrap for work lunch and bringing a water bottle with extra Liquid IV sachets and am going to use my cane but askdjjffkrkfkrpfkfjfkfkfkf. I try so hard to take care of my body but I always look and feel fucking awful. I need to shower again but am afraid if I do I won't be able to manage the commute tomorrow morning. I need to be on SSI lol

#My legs always feel like they're being fried in scalding oil #Especially my left leg and more and more often #The nerves in my left leg just stop responding re: muscle contraction at all #And the leg collapses #I can't even twitch my foot #And when that happens I fall over #Idk what's causing the progressive nerve damage but I have a lot of swelling on the left side and it's the side that #Was damaged with my TBI #I.e. I had damage on the right side of my brain which affects the left side of my body #The pain and intermittent paralysis are getting worse and worse

the good thing about being hypermobile is that i can land on one foot and roll my ankle and be absolutely fine afterward

#i did this at our last tournament #i jumped to set and i landed on one foot #rolled my ankle but i was fine like 2 seconds later #love being hypermobile (when it doesnt cause me pain ❤)

What a fucking day...

#we had to drive my dad to the hospital cause he has a horrible stomach bug #then i went to my own appointment and finally i have a diagnosis for the pain I've been feeling #then walked like crazy around town to get my prescribed meds go to GP and get sick leave for both me and my dad #waited for over an hour there #then finally bought a pretzel for breakfast at 11 #went to my dad's work to drop off his sick leave note #went back home #all of this on foot apart from the initial drive to hospital #dad is home now too and slightly better #and i have to go out again in ~2 hours to catch my train and go home cause i got work tomorrow #annie talks

#man one of the worst things about having complex mental health issues #as in: very severe and pervasive #is the way you get physical chronic illnesses from them #like i had a breakdown on sunday night just gone due a trauma anniversary #and now that my mind has take its foot off the gas and i’ve come out of that high stress period #my body has just collapsed #and i know this happens to other people with other things ofc #but anyone with BPD/CPTSD/PTSD etc etc can attest to how fucking CONSTANT these illnesses are #the fatigue! the mind fog! the headaches and the nausea and the sore eyes (????) and the aches and pains #it is SO weird and so fucking upsetting that it just triggers another episode #and people say ‘are you sure its not just a regular cold?’ when i live in a tiny apartment with my partner who #when i *actually* get a cold #also gets that cold #and low and behold when i have an episode and then get sick?#they don’t have it #no one around me is ill #just me #and it’s so tiring! stop! leave me alone! i hate this!#fun fact:#people with BPD have significantly more chance of having chronic physical illness because of the extreme toll that BPD takes on the body #you literally experience things SO intensely mentally that it hurts you physically #(not exclusive to bpd but you understand my point)#we have a life expectancy that’s reduced by like 20 years too #i love it here everyone say thank you mum and dad #oh and the leading cause of death is suicide LMAO that’s crazy #i think it’s 1 in 10?#the mean life expectancy is actually 27!
