How to get the perfect summer tan
If there is one thing I love, it's tanning. Spending hours by the pool, sipping fun cocktails, listening to music, and gossiping with friends?? AMAZING. Here are some of my tips for the PERFECT gold summer tan <33
The schedule:
Tan with a timer!!
Tan front - 15 mins
Tan Back - 15 mins
Tan from - 10 mins
tan back - 10 mins
Go in the water for a while. I usually go in the pool, but ocean water is better(I don't know why lol)!!
HYDRATE
Reapply tanning oil/sunscreen (products listed below <3)
Tan front - 15 mins
Tan Back - 15 mins
Tan from - 10 mins
tan back - 10 mins
Go on the water again and have a drink.
Repeat however many times you want
Products:
Im a Hawaiian tropic girl through and through (please sponsor me), but any recommendations are very welcome!! :)
For tanning:
Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection Sun Lotion SPF 30
Hawaiian Tropic Protective Dry Spray Oil SPF 8
Hawaiian Tropic Tropical Tanning Oil Dark
After Tanning:
Baby oil (apply on wet skin!!)
Hawaiian Tropic Aftersun Body Butter Exotic Coconut
Victoria's Secret Body Lotion Vanilla
Face:
La Roche Posay SPF 50
Caudalie Sun Protection SPF 50+
Whatever hydrating sheet mask you have lol <33
My current tanning playlist:
Extra tips:
Take proper care of your skin!! Make sure to always use moisturiser and reapply your sunscreen!!
If you don't have tanning oil, you can also use coconut oil, I used it for years, and it works fine.. make sure to use sunscreen tho!!
If you want your tan to look more golden, EAT CARROTS.
Like a lot of carrots, not joking.
Shower every evening!! Especially if you use sunscreen and/or tanning oils <3
Reapply sunscreen after going into the water!!
Check the UV!! 5-6 if you're really just starting, 6-10 during summer <33
Reminder: These are just MY tips; if you disagree, that's okay. Also, Im Spanish, Tan very easily and rarely get sunburned; depending on your skin, this may or may not work for you!! :)
And as always, please feel free to share your own tips in the comments so we can all get the best summer glow together!! <33

hi! do you have any recommendations for skin nourishment? saw the patrick bateman room on your twt❤️
hi nonnie well first of all thank you for describing my very normal room like That and secondly yes absolutely!! the harsh uk weather is my nemesis so i curated my routine to be as nourishing as possible. disclaimer that you definitely don’t need all of these products; i just happen to have super sensitive skin that is prone to dry patches and i also kind of love having a specific routine it’s very therapeutic #patrickbatemancorefr... so without further ado here are my recs 💌
1. clinique take the day off cleansing balm
i haven’t touched makeup wipes in about 7 years because they tended to irritate my skin especially around my eyes so i swapped to this cleansing balm and it’s amazing at removing even the most stubborn makeup efficiently without feeling harsh at all 💆♀️
2. ren skincare evercalm gentle cleansing milk
i used to think cleansers were supposed to make your face feel “squeaky clean” until i realised that just meant my skin was being stripped of its natural oils 😭 this is by far the most gentle cleanser i’ve found and i’ve tried a TON none of which can compare like this is srsly such a uniquely soothing product
3. origins drink up intensive overnight hydrating mask
this mask is my absolute fave 🌟 it’s marketed as an overnight mask so sometimes i’ll use it in place of my moisturiser but more often than not i just leave it on for a few hours while i study and it leaves my skin feeling so nice and rejuvenated yippee
4. hada labo gokujyun premium hyaluronic acid lotion
ok this is called a ‘lotion’ but it technically functions as a serum imo and it’s truly my ride or die product i can’t even tell you how many bottles i’ve gone through. it’s comprised of 7 kinds of hyaluronic acid so it is ultra-ultra-moisturising and it makes my skin feel so bouncy and hydrated yass 💧
5. kiehl’s creamy eye treatment with avocado
this is the only eye treatment i think actually made a significant difference out of all the ones i’ve used. it’s so creamy you just need the tiniest amount and it melts so nicely into my skin 🙌 i suffer from super dry undereyes and eyelids and this honest to god saved my life #kiehlsstan4eva
6. caudalie vineactive overnight detox oil
okay firstly i’m obsessed with how this face oil smells it’s like being transported to a spa but more importantly i love how it absorbs into my skin without feeling greasy in the slightest <- i didn’t even know that was possible with an oil. tbh idgaf about the anti-aging claims but this noticeably makes my skin feel sooo soft when i wake up in the morning so i highly recommend!
7. la roche-posay cicaplast baume b5
this is not marketed specifically as a moisturiser but i use it as one LOL. this is my ultimate holy grail i cannot emphasise enough how it totally transformed my skin esp. in the winter months it is so freaking nourishing and i will repurchase it forever and ever 🫶
and that wraps up my list!! honorary mentions go to the kiehl’s ultra facial cream which was my fav moisturiser before i discovered cicaplast and basically anything from the innisfree green tea range 🍵
#this is probably way more in depth than u cared about HAHA i'm sorry im just a skincare fanatic and i loved the opportunity to ramble :^)#i hope this helps nonnie <3#i went thru a LOT of trial and error with skincare when i moved to the uk so i can firmly vouch for all of these as 10/10s#hari influencer era#<- the resurgence of this tag... slayage

Hi Carol! Skincare question for when you feel like it: I have combination skin and wear a KN-95 mask to work every day (because I'm immune suppressed and work with the public). For years I have struggled with maskne. I love that I'm keeping myself and others safe, but I hate the constant zits on my chin. I change the mask daily, of course!
I'm 29. Currently I'm double-cleansing every morning and night with Caudalie micellar water and YTTP spinach/green tea/kale cleanser, then moisturizing twice daily with Sephora's hyaluronic acid Hydrate + Glow moisturizer. I never wear makeup under the mask and rarely wear it at all anymore (since, yanno, nobody can see most of my face). At night, I spot-treat with Murad salicylic acid gel.
Should I consider using something stronger? Past attempts have resulted in drying out my skin to the point of flaking. If you have any other tips, I'd love to hear them, up to and including "sorry kid, you're on your own".
Again, take all of my recs with a grain of salt and as always, use your discretion if you decide to use any of these products and consult with a doctor or derm if needed.
I would recommend using a pore refining/oil control toner in the morning just where the mask is on your face. Zits and such all have a 'date of birth' so to speak, they are created from debris, oil, and bacteria -- so flushing out the area before and after should help some!
This is a good option so that you don't have to change your cleanser, especially if you really like it and it works for your skin!
Some of my favorite toners for this do contain BHA's, so just make sure you are following up with a sunscreen -- even if you're wearing a mask. I would check out the Farmacy Deep Sweep Toner ($17-$34), the Down to Tone Toner from InnBeauty Project ($28) if you like products with more natual ingredients, or the Murad Clarifiying Toner ($30) if you want to try a brand that's a little more clinical.

Rough Texture Care
Hello! Today we will be talking about how to properly take care of rough textured skin. There are several components that go into what causes rough texture on the face, some including dryness and or an over-accumulation of dead skin cells. Another factor is the environment, living in cold, windy conditions or even low-humidity climates also causes rough textured skin. Also taking long, hot showers or even too much bathing can also create texture. Some ways to prevent textured skin includes exfoliating 2-3 times a week, trying a chemical peel, staying hydrated, and implementing Vitamin C serums or other antioxidants into your skincare routine. Some ingredients that will help with rough textured skin include vitamin c, hyaluronic acid, AHAs, and retinol. Some dermatologist recommended products include "Tiger Grass Enzyme Foam Cleanser", "Glossier Solution", "Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment", "Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Peel Mask", "Skinceuticals Glycolic Overnight".

miss I think my mom just uses moisturizer and acrub right now she is a firm believer of home remedies and her skin used to absolutely amazing but its gotten worse in the past year because her stress really went📈 and something that helps her de-stress or like a product for which their is no diy would be good? I really don't know though? maybe something for eye bags because hers are kinda humongous but she really doesn't have a lot of wrinkles my friends recommended some retinol but I donot understand that i don't really know this is definitely a bad explanation i already bought some plants for her so I think 10$ may be the most i can spare rn
also I honestly cannot say this enough thank you so so so much for helping babe!!! just I love you💕💕
i def would not recommend u get anything retinol for her! imo retinol has to be used very carefully and with a solid routine around it, it can be quite abrasive and even uncomfortable to use if you don't have the right routine, and from what i gather she isn't too into skincare, right? i think it's a risk!! in the anti-aging aspect vitamin c is a less ~dangerous~ product but tbh those can get pretty pricy so i'm not sure it's ur best bet. that said if she likes ye ol home remedies then "clean beauty" is DEF the way to go. i think a face sheet mask could be a really nice gift! they're nice for the ~girls night~ in which u destress, also they're fun and you can take a funny pic for the friends and they are mostly inexpensive. i am not sure which brands are sold in the us but if you can get dr. jart they have really nice ones!! i would stick to a hydrating mask, literally just look for the word hydrating because the other ones (clarifying, treatment etc) might be irritating to her skin because they're usually exfoliant. it's a matter of which one u can get to u in time because i know mother's day is around the corner but tbh most face masks are made equal, whichever one u look at and makes u go OOOO NICE will probably cause the same effect on her hehe. as for other gifts that make me think of moms - hand creams - i know, not technically skincare, but moms love them!!! the l'occitane one is my fav <3 and beauty sprays, like thermal water (i like la roche posay's) or the caudalie grape water/beauty elixirs. yes they are basically glorified water but they smell nice, feel nice to use and feel FANCY. as i said idrk what is sold in the us so i'm sorry i can't give you specific product recs bc i don't wanna rec u something u can't get (and u also probably have a lot of brands i don't know) but generally i would get my mom one of these three options, not necessarily these brands but the categories. i know my mom would freak if i got her a l'occitane hand cream lmao
#i rambled a bit but i hope i helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#u are so sweet anon ur mom is so lucky <3#anonymous#what is my ask tag again#lori gives skincare advice

Hello Ieva, I've just ordered a few skincare products and I wanted to make sure I use them correctly, in the right order and at the right times during the day and the week. Could you help me? I got the E.L.F. Bounce Back Jelly Cleanser, the E.L.F. Holy Hydration Face Cream, the Caudalie Glycolic Peeling Mask and the REN Clean Screen Mineral Protection Matifying Sunscreen (30spf). I have relatively problem-free skin, I only struggle with blackheads on my cheeks+nose. TY for your precious help!
hello! how exciting, i love waiting for ordered skincare hauls! make sure you introduce each product at a time; ideally you should wait for about two weeks between each of them to see how your skin reacts to any leave-on products (anything but cleansers, which take less time to see if they work for you). keep an eye out for breakouts or irritation!
here’s how i would use those products in a routine:
— a.m.:
cleanse with the bounce back jelly cleanser; this step can be skipped if your skin is dry or you find that you don’t need to cleanse your face in the morning
moisturize with the holy hydration cream, if your skin feels dry or if the sunscreen isn’t moisturizing enough
apply sunscreen!
— p.m.:
cleanse with the jelly cleanser; you may want to insert a preliminary first cleanse before this (an oil, balm or micellar cleanser) if you wear makeup or if you feel the need to remove sunscreen & sebum residue more thoroughly
once/twice a week: use the glycolic mask, then rinse off. start with once a week, potentially for less than the ten minutes recommended, and gradually move up to the full 10 min for up to twice a week max. even then, should your skin go through a sensitive period, suspend use until it calms back down.
apply moisturizer!

What’s your skincare routine??
1. cleanser. i’ve recently started using cerave hydrating cleanser because i’ve heard really, really good things and i do truly like it a lot. with COLD water.
2. toner. i use the pore refiner by perricone md. no joke, this product saved my skin. i recovered from my first breakouts phase ever at 22 by using this to help my pores and witch hazel to get rid of the acne. it took like 2 months and my skin was smooth again.(don’t use witch hazel unless you have lots of blemishes because it’s very very drying and should only be used to help with acne)
3. hyaluronic acid serum. i use one by the ordinary that’s 2% hyaluronic + b5. it’s cheap but works super well.
4. vitamin c. i use magnesium ascorbyl phosphate 10% from the ordinary. it’s AMAZING. it’s brightening and calming and hydrating. i love it.
5. SPF. always use spf. i don’t care what the weather is outside. use spf. i use sun bum because it smells like bananas.
6. moisturizer. i use the kiehl’s gel moisturizer. it’s lightweight but very hydrating. which i need because my skin is horribly dry.
(optional) 7. which is why i also spray the caudalie grape water on my face every few hours. it’s refreshing and wakes my skin up whenever i need it.
8. i make sure to use lip balm too. the one i use now is by YSL (lmao i know how that sounds. trust me i know), but rosebud salve is dope too
i also have packages upon packages of korean face masks. the ones i have either moisturize, brighten, or revitalize and i use 1 every few days or just whenever i feel like it 🤷🏻♀️
i sometimes use an under eye serum, also vitamin c based, when i feel like my eyes are puffy but i don’t use it often
