I remember being introduced to watcher lore secondhand (I also watched hermitcraft before evo), and then actually getting into evo and everything and realizing “oh. hold on. that’s canon. Uh.” yeah it hits…

i knew the watchers and watcher g was canon from the get-go, actually I've been wanting to watch EVO for the context of Watchers for a while now, like 2 years I think?

I know you only asked for desert duo, but I've been thinking a lot about this AU I'll probably never draw again SO HERE'S MORE INFO

The watchers are a separate entity from Starclan, they are more secretive, only showing themselves/affecting a few cats and clans

The life games are like lucid dreams they bestow upon the cats they choose as participants, when a cat dies in the games, they wake up in the real world

I also got some designs for the other winners! Each winner has a mark left by the watchers (represented by the darker coloured parts), Grians is the eye marks on his lower half, Scars is the sunflower mark on his back
