Vent poem

Words screamed into a void dissipate. Conversations with friends about pain, anguish, fades from their minds over time. Spoken words about feelings, even in the dark, are easier than accepting written word.

Where it can be dissected for hours, veiwed by people who will ask this line-that one- what did you mean? Are you ok? It plays on repeat when brought to online space.

People, friends from miles away will worry because of a press of a button and i despise it.

I want to swallow these dark words, this mass of cancer that leaked out my ears and onto my hands.

Who am I to bother someone I can't see. To reach out to humans who have their own loads to carry, who need more help than I could give.

Written words can be lost to time. Misinterpreted by millions and left to gather dust.

So i will scream in my room.

I will cry. I will let my words fester in me until they are smothered by my rage. My pain.

Because I am fine. I must be.
