Marry For Love - Prince Caspian
Pairing: Merman!Caspian x Reader
Request: Hi I have a weird request : merman Prince Caspian x human reader? it’s fine if you don’t want to do it - anon
Warnings: fluff, slight bit of angst
Words: 1145
A/N: Sorry about the radio silence guys, I'm back now, I hope you guys enjoy this one and please let me know what you think! Thank you for the request, anon, I love you all! xxx
There was a deafening silence in the Throne Room as you awaited another one of your suitors, if truth be told, this particular suitor had been back and forth between the palace for a number of weeks now. Every time you rejected the proposal, the prince would shower you with lavish gifts, he was determined to get you but you would never say yes. You would never let Prince Erik to rule beside you as King.
You glanced over at your Captain of the Guards – who had been like a father to you since your own had died – and you wished that you hadn’t. He was looking straight at you and you could tell that from beneath his thick beard that his chin was trembling, you could tell that he was trying not to laugh. You felt your own lips quiver and you smothered a laugh of your own with a cough.
“Your Majesty,” the Captain started and it was a miracle that he was able to keep his voice steady, “maybe we should,” he was interrupted by the two doors slamming open and Erik came striding in but you heard the distinct noise of chains rattling.
“Queen, Y/N, the Queen of my dreams,” he smirked and it should have made him look more handsome but it only served to unnerve you.
“Prince Erik, what can I do for you this time?”
“You cannot reject me this time, my love, not when you see what I’ve brought you as a gift,” he reached behind him and dragged something forward.
The whole room gasped and every man looked like he wanted to kill Erik, it was the most beautiful being that you’d ever seen, a fairy with shimmering wings and curling silver hair that reached the floor. You were angry with Erik; how could anyone be so cruel?
“Come here,” you reached out to the fairy and she obediently walked towards you with fear on her face, you smiled gently and removed her chains, your anger rising when you saw the red marks on her wrists, “did he hurt you?” when the fairy shook her head, you wrapped your arms around her and glared at the Prince, “the capture of Narnian’s is illegal! And, you think that I’d ever marry you?! I will never marry you!”
Erik gave you such a cold look that you actually felt the temperature drop a little, “you can’t do this!”
“Arrest him!” your guards immediately jumped to attention and clapped him in iron, “hmm, I’ve changed my mind, let him go,” the guards obeyed your orders at once, but they still stood at attention and you slowly walked toward him, craning your head back to look up at him, “I am the Queen of this land, don’t presume to tell me what I can and can’t do,” you glanced back at your Captain, “throw him in the dungeons.”
Later on that day, you were on the beach, walking beside the rolling waves that were calm and quiet as a whisper, “I heard from a little fairy that the Queen of Narnia is the kindest woman in all the land,” you heard laughter in the warm silken voice.
You grinned as you looked down into the sea and saw the beautiful merman smirking up at you, his silver scales glittering in the sunlight. You smiled and sat down on the warm sand, “is she okay, Caspian?”
Caspian nodded and smiled, “she’s fine.”
You felt so ashamed that something so horrible had happened in your land, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your fault, Y/N.” he sighed and pulled himself out of the water to sit next to you, “you’re not going to marry him are you?” he asked, staring down at the golden sand.
“Of course not! I’m not going to marry any of them. How could I when you’re the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen?” you turned his chin so he looked at you.
Caspian smiled as he leaned into your touch and he gazed at you with sparkling brown eyes. He cupped your cheek and leaned over so he could kiss you. He was so gentle with you, like you were made of glass. Was he afraid you’d fall apart?
“I love you, Caspian,” you whispered, leaning your forehead against his.
Caspian smiled as he combed gentle fingers through your hair, “I love you too.”
You bit your lip as you pressed a lingering kiss to his lips, “marry me Caspian,” Caspian scoffed with a little laugh as he gave you a disbelieving look, “I’m serious,” you sighed.
Caspian gave you a wan smile, “I can’t Y/N, you need to marry someone of royal blood, I’m not even human.”
“I don’t care about any of that, Caspian,” you felt a horrible pain in your chest as he shook his head.
“I can’t Y/N.”
You stayed on the beach with Caspian until it grew dark and you headed back to the palace and retired to your quarters with a heavy heart. If you couldn’t marry Caspian, then you wouldn’t marry anyone.
A couple of weeks later, you were throwing the annual afternoon party in the gardens where the subjects and royalty could mix, it was something that your mother had started when she was Queen. The weather was beautiful as was the soft music that played but you could hardly appreciate it, you hadn’t seen Caspian since you had asked him to marry you, you didn’t regret asking him but you were so angry with yourself that you had ruined things.
“Your Majesty?” you heard a familiar soft voice coming from the water and you turned to look at the river that ran through the gardens. There he was, Caspian, he looked so beautiful and he looked almost bashful as he smiled at you, the entire party went silent as you walked over to him, kneeling at the river bank.
“Caspian,” you smiled as you reached out and touched his cheek.
“I’m sorry for disappearing, Y/N but I had something to plan,” he smiled and you nodded at him for him to continue, “I love you, I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, anyway that I can,” he held out the flat of his palm and you saw the most beautiful silver ring with a pink pearl encased in the centre, “will you marry me?”
You smiled at him before you glanced over your shoulder to look at your people who were all looking at you with so much love and support and you looked back at Caspian who looked slightly nervous, your heart soared as you took the ring out of his hand and slipped it onto your finger.
“Yes, I will marry you, I love you so much,” you grinned as you kissed him beneath the blazing sun.

Kissing with Pevensie (Peter and Edmund) + Caspian
pairing: Peter Pevensie x reader, Edmund Pevensie x reader, Caspian x reader
type: fluff 🌸
Masterlist
Peter
At first, his kisses are very careful and caring. Despite the fact that Peter is very passionate, he primarily thinks about your comfort. As soon as he feels that you reciprocate, he will definitely deepen the kiss and show how much he is in love with you. His kisses always cloud your mind, they make you dizzy. Peter prefers to kiss you when you're alone so that no one bothers you.
Edmund
His kisses are very domineering. He likes to leave quick kisses on your lips. Watching your embarrassed reaction, he always grins. Edmund always holds you very tightly and hugs you to him. He looks down at you and then kisses you. He also likes naughty kisses, when he can run his tongue over your lips or leave a quick peck on your nose after a passionate kiss. Edmund likes to kiss you in front of everyone, showing that he is the only one here who can make you feel butterflies in your stomach.
Caspian
His kisses are very gentle and sometimes uncertain. There is love and care in his every movement. Your eyes meet, he puts his arm around your waist and slowly approaches you for a kiss. You feel his smile on your lips, and you smile involuntarily. Caspian likes to hold your hands and kiss you on the forehead. It's like a way for him to show you that he's ready to protect you from everything.

COMPETITION AREA.
The gif is not mine!
Pairing : Caspian X x Reader!
Summary : You used to date Peter and now you're with Caspian, but your past complicates your current relationship.
Gender : sad, cute, silly??.
word count: 1k
AN : This is stupid but I wanted to post it. Also say that I took it out Almost angels! (Argentine program)
----
''Seriously Lucy, we're fine with Casipan''
Lucy returned to Narnia with Edmund in the middle of the sea, and that made you happy because they were your friends but now you had a situation: Lucy did not believe in your love for Caspian.
''We're really good, seriously'' You repeat again.
''Yes, darling, but being well doesn't mean being in love''
You stop seeing the map that rests on the table. ''Listen, you miss Peter, right?''
You sigh, letting your shoulders slump. They dated Peter before he grew old enough to no longer be accepted in Narnia, so you were left alone, desperate and without your loved one, but then within your desolation, with patience, Caspian won your heart.
''Obviously I miss Peter, how I miss Susan, how I miss you guys'' You explain. ''But what does that have to do with Caspian?''
''Don't play dumb'' Lucy's voice is a perfect mix of sweetness and firmness.
''The question is if you miss Peter as a boyfriend... as a man''
''Ehm..'' You start stammering, searching for your words. ''Lu, Peter was very important to me and I will love him all my life but now I'm with Caspian and I'm fine''
''Well, but if you have to choose, have to compare between one and the other, who...?''
You interrupt her. ''Stop, I'm not going to compare because comparisons are hateful'' You reason.
''I am hateful, compare'' Resolve.
''Well, they're different.'' You try to eliminate the topic but Lucy raises an eyebrow, waiting for the answer she wants. You gasp and give up. ''Caspian is sweet and I had a great time with him''
''Bored.''
''It's not boring... but if I have to compare Peter was more romantic, he prepared surprises for me'' Lucy smiles.
''I still have a good time with Caspian, he's just less expressive'' You try to defend him.
You raise your arm, not knowing that Caspian was hearing from the other side of the room. ''No?''.
—
''Where are you taking me?'' You smile with Caspian's hands covering your eyes.
''You trust me'' He answers, also smiling.
Caspian counts to 3 and removes his hands showing a lake.
''How cute..'' He says cloyingly.
His hands travel around you, hugging you, and he kisses your temple.
You shake your head, looking at him. ''And why did you bring me here?''
''It's a surprise''
''No, no, no, what a surprise? I have to organize the next event and you must...'' You ramble until Caspian interrupts you.
''Wait love, the world is not going to fall if we take a day off.'' He holds your body in his hands. Then your face changes, you just smile and kiss him.
—
Caspian leaves the rod stuck in the ground, with the hook in the water, and runs to you, who are resting on the blanket on the ground.
You bite your lips when he comes to you with a dreamy smile.
The rod falls and a noise leaves your lips wanting to run to nail it again.
''No! ''Seeing your intentions, Caspian stops you and runs to do it himself. ''Stay there, you are my guest of honor''
You laugh and return to your place.
When Caspian returns to your side you look at his face, kissing him.
''I love you'' You say, falling onto the blanket with his body floating above you.
—
''Do you hear?''
''What?''
''Nothing, silence. You hear it?'' Caspian nods and your eyes shine, caressing his cheek.
'''How many people are there that you can stay like this with? In silence?'' Lectures.
''Only one, and you?''
You don't answer, you just take his lips with a goofy smile.
After several kisses you separate.
''Loosen up, there are underage birds''
Caspian laughs softly, ''How I would stay in this moment forever...''
''Well, let's stay, here and now. Although we are going to miss the boys a little''
''If I'm with you, I don't miss anyone.'' He joins his lips.
''Not even a bit of noise, of swords...?''
''No, nothing'' He says quickly and with some desperation he kisses you.
You separate again. ''Look, with so much silence we can get bored as a log''
Caspian sighs and lets his face fall to rest on his fist.
''That's right, I'm going to miss the horses'' You comment looking at the lake.
''horse riding ..''
Your comment only frustrated the boy more, because there was no one who didn't know that it was Peter who taught you to ride, and gave you that fanaticism.
''But who says, maybe one will come here'' You smile and Caspias can't stand it.
''Why don't you say it once and for all?'' He Accuses.
''What?''
''You've got me fed up, you miss Peter all day, all the time.''
Your tongue is spoiled and your nerves make you babble. ''Caspian, what are you talking about?''
Caspian stands up and feels like he explodes. ''About what happens to you, what happens to you when you see the photos and you regret not being there with him''
''That's different from me, more sensitive, more romantic. Did you know? Why don't you cross that world of his and go with him? '' His words come out alone and he is not able to think about what he says.
Your eyes lower as your boyfriend walks away.
''My love, come here'' You say running towards him. ''Stop. What's wrong with you?'' You reach for him.
His eyes seem to darken and he scratches the back of his neck. ''I'm jealous, I'm jealous of Peter's ghost,'' she admits.
''I heard you talking to Lucy and I started competing with him''
''What? I don't know what you heard"
''I wanted to be as romantic as him but it all turned out wrong. I can't compete with the memory you have of him.''
''Alright..''
''If he were here it would be very different, but he is not here and it is very difficult.. '' He rambles and you have to interrupt him
''Well'' You sigh. ''I miss Peter as much as the other boys.''Caspian shakes his head, not believing your words.
''But because they are my friends and I want them back.'' You explain.
Your hands touch his face. ''That has nothing to do with us, my love."
"I want to be with you and that won't change even if Peter comes back."
He removes your hands from his face. ''No, you don't know what's going to happen to you''
''Yes, yes, I know"
''no, you don't know and that's fine'' It is pointed out. ''On the other hand, I do know what's happening to me.''
He eyes stab you. ''I do know that I love you'' He snorts and touches his head.
''Forgive me, but I can't be a mature guy, sometimes the child inside comes out''
You just smile and your eyes narrow.
Caspian gives a half smile. ''You love me the same, don't you?''
You don't nod, you don't speak, you just take his walk and your mouths meet.
They both return to the blanket and enjoy their evening, until nightfall, but more in love than before.

Hear me out
A/N: Part two to this post where a messy bitch tries to flirt with cas in front of you , sum light
T/W'S: YANDERE SMUT, PUBLIC SEX, ANGRY SEX (NOT ANGRY WITH READER), HAIR PULLING, CREAMPIES, ORAL(F RECEIVING), SOFT DOM CAS
One look, one single lust fueled look was all it took for him to have you sitting on the cold countertop in the club's boujie bathroom, your thighs wrapped so snugly around his head you were afraid with one wrong room you'd crush him, he couldn't be happier.
His hot tongue licked hard, long strokes, dancing in and out of your winking hole, aching to be filled by his familiar warmth. "Please- baby I need you- need'a feel you inside." His response was to suck a mean kiss into your clit, the bundle of nerves lighting up as if electrified.
Little huffs leave your lips as he works you over, his tongue flicking mean strokes over every inch of your pussy, placing a sloppy kiss to your bundle of nerves he tapped your thigh twice, the signal he used when he wanted your attention. "Keep your eyes on me Honey." It wasn't a request it was a statement, a demand, he was clearly still angry about something and it was coming out in your favorite way.
"And don't even think about covering this pretty mouth okay?" He stood up, his big hands squeezing the flesh of your waist, pulling you against the bulge in his pants and whining softly against your lips, "wanna' hear you pretty." His smile was far too innocent for what he did next, "tell me how this feels hon." He didn't give you a moment to think about it as his thick pointer finger plunged inside your messy cunt, curling up at just the right angle to have you crying out, at first you couldn't answer, mind too lost in the sudden onslaught of pleasure, he didn't like this, pulling your hair in a firm, but gentle grip and he forced you to look at him. "I said use your words Honey."
"Fuck!- Cas oh God h- it feels good, you feel good.", your hips involuntarily buck against his hand as he coo's down at you, he wasted no time adding a second finger, his breath matching your own, his eyes honed in on your face, addicted to your reactions, he licked his lips, smirking softly as his thumb begins circling your clit
"Want your cum- need to feel it, please Baby."
He whispered against your skin while sucking a fat bruise into the flesh just below your ear, his tongue flicking out over the wound sweetly, he pulled himself out of his pants and boxers in one hasty motion, "Spit for me lovely." He asked cupping his free hand under your fucked out face, he smiled down at you proudly as you did as he asked, "Good girl." He says, affection and love in his eyes as he prepares to fuck you like a whore.
He lubes up his cock with the spit, biting his lip at his impatience , but he was so infuriated that vile woman tried what she did, he needed to show everyone, her, especially you, exactly who he belongs to.
With the mess you were making on the countertop, a pearl of cum drips down your thighs, the same mess covering his face and hand, with a kiss to your temple he inches his way inside, not bothering to be quiet, he hisses, grunting with every quick thrust, whining your name loudly as his hips begin to piston in and out, he pulled you flush against him, wrapping your legs around his hips with one hand while the other held you up against him by the meat of your ass, he bounced you on his cock like a toy, lifting you with ease, the sensation making you gush around him, it was almost too much, how he jackrabbits himself, how he didn't care about the pounding at the door or the fact that the people outside could absolutely hear you two over the music.
It didn't matter to either of you, not with that electric way he brushed against that spot with every mean smack of his hips into your own, he had you moaning like a pornstar, he sucked your tongue with a moan, "Take this dick- it's yours Ma-" he hisses through his teeth, the growl in his voice making your clench around him, "All. Fuckin. Yours." He punctuated with a thrust on each word making you cry out for him, he had a feeling he knew one of the perverts listening in outside, and he hoped the bitch heard him tearing your guts up.

Thank you 😊 (Just if you want to write it 🙈)”
This is such a cute requests jfnjneuonrune I love it!!
I hope you like what I’ve written for you here! Thank you for sending this request!
****
Pairing: Caspian x reader
Warnings: so much fluff your heart might actually melt. Bonus: a very shy Caspian.
Summary: Caspian falls head over heels for the librarian in Cair Paravel.
Word Count: 2997
You liked humming while you worked.
Whenever the library of Cair Paravel was empty, you liked filling up the empty space with a soft humming sound; a quiet one, barely audible, but that felt merry all the same.
You picked up another book, checking the title engraved in golden letters on the leathery cover, and put it on its designated right spot on the shelf. You breathed deeply the sent of parchment, leather and ink. The safest fragrance there was. Your favourite.
It was a sunny dawn, bathing the beginning of spring with warmth. You could hear some birds chirping happily outside, and the sound brought a smile to your face. You liked that time of the year; when the mornings were still cold and shy but the afternoons were warm enough to let the first flowers bloom. For now, the first rays of sunshine were waking up Narnia and all its inhabitants.
It was early still, and yet you expected for the King to arrive any minute now. It had become a habit of his, really. Whenever he was in Cair Paravel, he took an hour in the morning to come to the library to do some research about history, geography, about old myths or about the kingdoms around Narnia. Sometimes he asked for a precise book, sometimes for a general topic, but he always asked you something. It was the same scene playing over and over again: Caspian passed the wooden doors with a warm smile on his lips, looked around for a while, then came to talk with you for a while, before you would guide him to the right books or maps and he would remain there for a while longer. But then, it would be the end of dawn and the beginning of bright daylight, and he would give you another one of his warm smiles, a polite nod to silently thank you for your help, and he would stride out of the library to attend his first meeting of the day.
And you would look at him walk across the room, longing to brush this rebellious strand of hair that always escaped his bun behind his ear. You would send him your brightest grin while you bowed as he would send one last shy smile your way before closing the doors behind him, and you would pray Aslan for him not to notice the way your breathing had quickened at the sight of his soft gesture, and for him to remain oblivious of how fast your heart was beating. You would stare at the door for long minutes, looking at the space, now empty, that he used to occupy.
And you would do your best to hide that you were deeply, unconditionally, desperately, irrevocably, madly… in love with him.
It was almost comical, really. The keeper of knowledge in Cair Paravel was foolish enough to fall in love with the King. The most unreachable man there was in the entire kingdom. The only man you had absolutely no chance of being with. Comical, really…
Speaking of the devil…
You heard the wooden door open, it made a creaking noise whenever it turned on its hinges. You were thankful for the signal, as it allowed you to climb down the ladder you were perched on, before putting down the book in your hand and heading towards the door to welcome the King. He was wearing a large brown shirt and a pair of leathery pants with high brown boots. He had left the first buttons of his shirt undone, and his hair was loose, falling gracefully on each side of his face to reach his shoulders.
Aslan, he was so handsome…
He offered you this smile of his, the one you were expecting, the warm and soft kind…
“Good morning, Y/N.”
“Good morning, Your Majesty,” you answered, bowing before him.
You finally noticed that he was holding a couple of books, probably the ones he had borrowed from your library the week before. But instead of giving them back to you so you could put them away, He kept on staring at you for a while, his smile a little smaller on his face as it turned into a dreamy expression.
You were so beautiful like this, bathed in the reddened light of the young dawn that came in from the large windows. He stared as you bit your lip, an apparent sign of your nervousness. He noticed the way you joined your hands in your back. He noticed the way your eyes seemed almost afraid of him. Or… not quite afraid, no… Intimated, perhaps. Yes, that was closer to this look in your eyes. Still, your gaze was inviting, as if… as if you couldn’t help but stare at him too. As if you wanted to look at him, even if you weren’t supposed to…
He finally shook himself, realizing that he had been staring at you for way too long. He cleared his throat, looking at the tip of his brown boots to hide the way he was fiercely blushing.
“I… I will simply… I might need your help later, if you don’t mind.”
Caspian silently cursed himself for stuttering like a damn fool…
“Of course! Anything you need, Your Majesty.”
He nodded, still not looking at you, before striding to the closest shelf to hide there.
He made sure you could not see him and rested his back against the rows of books, throwing his head back and letting out a long sigh as silently as he could.
His heart was pounding. He needed to calm down.
It was always the same. He came here to see you every morning, and there you were… It was always the same scene repeating itself over and over again: he would walk in to find you hurrying towards him. He would stare at your welcoming grin as you bowed before him. And he would study how dawn painted your frame this time, how it would embrace your form and paint your skin in a slightly different shade than the day before, thanks to the everchanging qualities of light… And he would find himself at a loss for words, and would have to flee before making a fool of himself. He would need some time to gather his courage again before being able to talk to you once more. And then… then he would talk with you and he would listen to your soothing voice, glancing over at your hand every once in a while, wondering how your skin would feel against his… He would pretend to be in need of your services as the Royal Librarian, when really, he simply wanted to see you. And then, after running out of excuses to stay a little longer, he would finally take his leave, walking out of the room to attend his first meeting of the day. He could never stop himself from looking at you one last time before closing the heavy doors though.
And all the while, during his entire stay at the library, he had to manage to hide the fact that he was completely, entirely, absolutely, eternally, hopelessly… in love with you.
But all of this was about to change. Because Caspian had taken a decision.
This habit of his to come early every morning to see you, under the pretence of looking for books, had been going on for months now, and it was more than time for him to finally be brave enough to tell you the truth.
He didn’t come to the library for the books it sheltered at all, but because of the pretty librarian who worked there…
But this charade had been going on for long enough. It was time for him to be brave, and to finally tell you how he felt.
Or well… not… everything, because then he would probably scare you away. But he did intend to make it clear that he wanted to court you.
Caspian tightened his hold on his books, taking a couple of deep breaths to calm his nerves. Outside, birds were chirping happily, and he took it as a good omen. If the world was happy and bright outside, why couldn’t it be the same in this library now?
At last, he walked away from the bookshelves again, and went looking for you. He forced himself to keep moving forward when he finally spotted you, making piles of books on a large wooden table, so it would be easier to organize them and put them away.
You were focused on your task, and jumped when you finally noticed Caspian approaching.
“I am sorry, Y/N. I did not mean to scare you.”
“No, it’s me… I was lost in thought.”
You exchanged a timid smile, before Caspian would hand you the books he was still tightly holding.
“Thank you for your recommendations,” he spoke with a warm, calm voice that soothed you and yet made butterflies flutter in your stomach. “These were… interesting books.”
“Did you enjoy them?”
“I did. Very much so. Thank you.”
“Anytime, Your Majesty.”
You took the books, eyes glued on his dark stare. His eyes were so brown, they looked black in the early light, and you couldn’t distinguish where his irises began and where his pupils ended. And you couldn’t find the strength to look away…
“I…”
But Caspian fell silent, and all that remained was a motionless silence bathed in orange light. The sky was turning from red to gold slowly, shades mingling, hues changing into lighter ones. You could barely breathe, didn’t dare to move. There was an expectancy hovering above the two of you, covering your frames with a heavy blanket that seemed to impend your movements and thoughts alike. Impossible to think, to react… you could only wait for Caspian to speak again.
But he opened his mouth once more and failed to summon his voice, blushing hard. He couldn’t look away. He was trapped inside your gaze and there was nothing he could do. Nor move, nor speak, nor think. It was just you bathed in this morning light…
Finally, you gathered enough strength to speak, even though your voice was shaky.
“Do you need anything, Your Majesty? Can I help you?”
The sound of your voice seemed enough to shake him out of his trance and he cleared his throat, straightening his posture. He clenched his fists.
“I… Actually, I do not require your services as a librarian this morning.”
“Oh… very well…” you mumbled, quite taken aback.
“I… I came here to… ask you if you would wish to… perhaps… take a walk with me, this morning.”
Your eyes grew round. It was only then that you seemed to notice how nervous Caspian truly was. Which was unusual for him. After all, he was King. He was used to giving speeches in front of hundreds of people, to deal calmly with the most desperate situations, to take decisions that would set the destiny of thousands…
And yet, there he was now… looking nervous and fragile in front of… you.
Why would he be nervous?
“Did I… did I do something wrong, Your Majesty?” you asked, suddenly terrified. “Am I… Are you going to throw me out of the castle?”
Because there was no other explanation, really. You couldn’t see any, at least. You knew he was kind-hearted, and if you had done something wrong, that required him to send you away, then he might feel guilty about it; hence the nervousness.
But he frowned hard in response, looking at you as if you were mad.
“What? No… no of course not. You… you have done nothing wrong, Y/N.”
“Oh… Then… I do not understand…”
He cleared his throat again, nodding slowly.
He took a step towards you, getting closer, and his heart skipped a beat at your sudden nearness.
“I would like to take a walk with you in the gardens this morning, Y/N,” Caspian repeated. “Would you like that?”
“I… but why?”
He let out a breathy chuckle, closing his eyes and shaking his head.
He reckoned there was no other way to go around all this but by speaking plainly…
He looked at you again, his gaze soft and loving.
“I would like to spend time with you. And… not as a King requiring the services of his Royal Librarian but as… you and me. Just you and me. Because… I would like to know you better. And I would like you to know me better, too.”
You stared at him in silence, suspended to his words because… surely, he couldn’t be meaning that…
You were a librarian and he was a king… you couldn’t be together. How could he ever fall in love with you?
Before your silence, Caspian guessed that he needed to be even more direct, and so he was.
“I would like to court you, Y/N.”
You blinked a couple of times.
“Court me?” you repeated, unable to fathom what his words truly implied.
“Yes. I would like to court you.”
“Oh…”
You shook yourself, summoning the strength and the focus necessary to think. You shook your head, frowning.
Caspian could feel his heart breaking in his chest…
“Of course, if you do not feel the same, then… we can always forget that this conversation happened, and we will go back to being only a king and his royal librarian…”
“But you… you are a king.”
He raised an eyebrow.
“I… am quite aware of that fact,” he smiled, quite amused despite the circumstances.
“And I’m the Royal Librarian.”
“Again, I am well aware of this fact.”
“We… I am not a princess or a… a noble woman of any kind.”
He frowned hard.
“I do not care about that.”
“You should. You should marry someone of your… rank.”
You noticed the way Caspian clenched his jaw, lowering his gaze to the ground again. Slowly, he nodded.
“I would like you to answer very earnestly my next question, Y/N. Could you do that?”
“Of course.”
“Are you saying no because I am a King? Or because you feel nothing for me at all?”
He looked up once more to capture your stare in his. You swallowed hard, your palms clammy.
“Please, do not lie about this. Give me an earnest answer,” insisted Caspian.
You should have lied though. Because it was ridiculous to admit to the King that you had feelings for him. Still, you were lost in this pair of black eyes you adored, and you couldn’t tell anything but the truth.
“I am not saying no. But you are King. And I am simply a librarian.”
“If I were not the King… would you say yes? Would you let me court you?”
You took a sharp inhale, before diving…
“Yes, I would let you court me.”
Slowly, a grin spread across his handsome features. You found yourself wondering what it would feel like to run your fingers through his short beard…
“Then, please… take a walk with me.”
“But…”
“I do not care about your rank, nor do I care about mine. I only care about the way I feel for you. And… I feel… a lot for you.”
You only noticed that you had stopped breathing once your lungs were burning from the lack of oxygen.
“I have… felt this way for quite a while, to be honest,” he admitted, his cheeks and ears now crimson.
At last, you started breathing again, and it was your time to paint a bright grin on the curve of your lips.
“I feel this way as well,” you confessed in a mere whisper. “But I did not think that my feelings were reciprocated.”
His grin turned amused.
“Why do you think I spend all my mornings here?” he questioned in a quiet tone that matched perfectly yours, a soft whisper that fitted confessions.
Your grin doubled in size.
“Really? You came to see me?”
Caspian nodded, his hand slowly raising to your face so he could let his fingertips brush the edge of your jawline, then up to your cheek and cheekbone…
You could barely breathe all over again. In their wakes, his fingers left your skin on fire…
“I… I merely wanted to see you every day, that is all.”
“I… I hoped every morning that you would come… that I could see you…”
He cradled your cheek in his large, callous palm, fingertips lost now in your hair...
You saw his lips getting closer to yours, as if he was falling towards you, diving towards your mouth…
“There is one last thing that I would like to ask you,” whispered Caspian, his lips now mere centimetres from yours.
“Anything…”
“Please, don’t call me ‘Majesty’ anymore. Call me ‘Caspian’. Please… please say my name…”
You could feel his breath fanning across your lips, the air leaving your lungs colliding with the air escaping from his…
You closed your eyes, your hands reaching up to hold onto his shirt.
“Caspian…”
He reckoned he had never heard his name spoken so softly, so beautifully, so lovingly…
Before you could speak again, Caspian had closed the gap between your two mouths, and was pressing a tender kiss to your lips. You were certain you were dreaming, although, when you felt your knees weakening and Caspian wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you closer, you couldn’t deny that this was real.
You were kissing Caspian…
You were not certain about when one of your hands left his shirt to mess with his hair instead, but when your lips finally parted, your fingers were lost in his soft strands.
You were both breathless and slightly shaking.
You opened your eyes again, only to fall imprisoned in his gaze once more.
“So… what about we take a walk in the gardens now?” Caspian repeated his offer, a grin stuck on his lips.
You mirrored his happy gesture, nodding.
“It sounds lovely, indeed…”

Summary: The one where the queen of Narnia is craving lemon cookies.
It was the middle of the night, and she couldn't sleep. She felt the baby in her stomach kicking like it was running there. But what was worse, she really wanted these amazing lemon cookies that Mrs O'Clery had made before. The queen sighed, trying to lay on the other side, but even this became hard to do. She gave up, sitting with her back against the headboard and slowly caressing her belly. She looked at her husband, who was sleeping next to her. Her lips grimaced in a small smile at the thought that at least one of them would be rested in the morning. She lasted like this for a long moment hoping that at least the baby would go to sleep so she could do the same, but it didn't happen. She kept a hand on the belly, and she smiled, feeling a kick against it.
"You could let me sleep, little darling. And we could have all the cookies in the morning." She whispered and sighed. She felt Caspian moving next to her like he'd like to hug her. When he felt her belly against his face, his eyes opened, and he looked up.
"Love? Why are you awake?" He said with a raspy voice, still full of sleep. He rubbed his eyes with a hand and sat slightly.
"I couldn't sleep… the baby is moving so much, and I'm hungry. Maybe it's not hunger, but I really crave these lemon cookies from dinner." She mumbled and happily snuggled into him when he wrapped an arm around her. He bit the inside of his cheek, trying not to laugh. He kissed the top of her head, rubbing her shoulder.
"Let me call for someone to bring you these cookies."
"No! They deserve a night to rest."
"In that condition, we should go to the kitchen on our own. What will you say?" He smiled at her when she looked into his eyes?
"Could we?" He nodded, and she happily kissed him shortly, and she quickly got up from bed. Caspian started quietly laughing, getting up. He took her dressing-gown and helped her put it on. They put on shoes and started their way to the kitchen. They held each other's hands, and Caspian's eyes didn't leave her. He couldn't stop thinking how beautiful she looked right now. Even if her hair was messy and she wasn't entirely comfortable with the weight she gained or with the marks that showed on her skin, she was the most perfect creature he had ever seen. And this feeling didn't go away when she looked around the kitchen, trying not to make a mess. He watched with a smile how she tasted a few things she found and happily squeaked when she finally found the plate with cookies. She put one in her mouth and turned to Caspian, and pulled out the plate in his direction. He shook his head with a fond smile and moved a chair for her, bowing slightly with a sparkle in his eyes. And when she sat, laughing and covering her mouth with her hand, he kissed the top of her head.
"Happy now, my love?"
"Yes, very!" She smiled and held his hand. "Thank you, Caspian."
"Don't mention it. I need to keep my beautiful wife and our baby happy." He squeezed her hand and put the other one at the top of her belly, caressing it softly. He smiled, feeling the movement of their baby. "Oh, my dear little one… you need to let your mother rest sometimes." She laughed softly when the baby kicked precisely where his hand was. They spent a few more moments like this, with their hearts full of love, until the queen started yawning. Caspian led her to chambers and tugged her into bed. He wrapped the duvet around her and hugged her from behind. He heard her breathe out with relief when she got comfy. He kissed her shoulder, smiling a little.
"Cas?" She whispered softly. By her voice, Caspian could tell that she was close to sleep.
"Yes, my darling?"
"I love you so much." The young king couldn't stop the smile from spreading on his lips. He hugged her a little closer to his chest, putting his face closer to her neck.
"And I love you, my beautiful wife." She didn't respond to it, only softly squeezed his arm with her hand. Not even a few minutes later, Caspian heard her breath slowing down. He held her for a few moments and couldn't believe in the happiness he had received from life. And when he was sure she was asleep, he allowed himself to rest. Because he wanted to make this extraordinary time as comfortable for her as he could.
Author’s note: Thank you so much for reading! If it’s not too much trouble, I would love to hear your thoughts about it. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and motivate me to work.
I am sorry about every grammar mistake and misspellings. English is not my first language.

Soft Night
king caspian x reader
word count: 500
summary: a quiet night after a long day
warnings: none
The fire crackled in the hearth of the stone castle, its warmth spreading through the room and casting gentle shadows on the walls. Outside, the wind whispered through the trees of Narnia, a reminder of the untamed wilderness that lay beyond the castle's protective walls. Inside, however, it was warm, cozy, and peaceful — an atmosphere that was a rare treat for King Caspian.
He had been busy all day, meeting with the Lords and ladies, listening to their concerns, and overseeing the peace in Narnia. But now, as the day began to fade and the first stars twinkled in the velvet sky, he found himself retreating from the demands of his crown to the solace of the private chambers he shared with her.
Y/n was curled up by the fire, a book resting in her lap, but she had long since stopped reading. The soft glow of the flames illuminated her face, and Caspian couldn’t help but smile at the sight. There was something about her, something that calmed the storm inside him. The weight of the crown, the responsibility of the throne, all seemed to melt away whenever she was near.
“Are you still reading, love?” Caspian’s voice broke the silence, his footsteps muffled by the thick carpet as he moved towards her.
She looked up from her book, her face lighting up with a smile. “Not really. Just… resting my eyes,” she admitted, closing the book and setting it aside.
Caspian chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with affection. He sat down beside her, his warm presence radiating as he drew her closer. His fingers gently brushed through her hair, a touch so tender it made her heart flutter.
“It’s been a long day, hasn’t it?” he murmured, his voice hushed, as though he didn’t want to disturb the peaceful tranquility of the moment.
She nodded, leaning her head on his shoulder. “I’m glad you’re here, Caspian,” she whispered, content to simply be in his company, to have him near. The weight of the day was still heavy on his shoulders, but he seemed to forget all of it when she was close.
His hand moved to the back of her neck, his fingers tracing idle patterns on her skin. "I’m always here for you," he said softly, his voice full of sincerity. "You know that, right?"
She nodded again, letting the comfort of his words wash over her. "I know," she replied, her eyes closing as she relaxed further into him.
Slowly she began to fall asleep, the only sound in the room was the crackling fire and the soft rustle of the wind outside. The steady beat of Caspian’s heart against her side grounding her in a way nothing else could.
Caspian’s fingers tightened around hers, and he pulled her even closer, as though he could never have enough of her presence.
"You’re my greatest treasure," he said, his voice low and sincere. "Everything else can wait when I’m with you."
The world outside may have been vast and full of challenges, but in this moment, in his arms, nothing else mattered. The kingdom of Narnia, with all its glory and troubles, could wait.
He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, his fingers gently threading through her hair.
And for that moment, at least, the world outside the castle faded away.

Imagine a secret forest rendezvous with King Caspian…
As most of the company had started laying their blankets for the night, Caspian took your hand and your attention.
“I want to show you something.” He said gently. Holding a little tighter, you stepped away from the group and followed the man who held your heart into the forest. After a few twists and turns, you were adamant that you were lost but Caspian was confident that he knew the way. Sundown had just begun casting a warm glow through the treetops.
“Does this little rendezvous have an end or are we planning to run through the course of the forest?” You laughed.
Caspian chuckled. “A few more steps, I promise.” He replied and it was the truth.
He stopped at a very small clearing where a patch of the most soft-looking grass had been sitting.
You looked at the way he beamed at you but couldn’t understand it’s meaning.
“I’m a little confused.”
Caspian’s smile faltered, his eyes wide. “You don’t know what this is?” He asked and received a small head shake in return. Taking your shoulders, he turned you to face the small patch of land and moved closer to your ear as he spoke in a whisper.
“This is an ancient magical root that grows in rare forests of Narnia. They become patches of land and it is said that their magical properties are for lovers.” He explained.
“And what makes it so special?”
“Well, it is said that when two lovers step onto the grass, all time stops for them to do as their minds wander.”
You felt a shiver run down your spine as you leaned into him a little. “And where does your mind wander?”
“Would you like me to show you?” He teased, breath now tickling your skin.
Taking in a deep breath to clear your mind, you turned around and pulled him close to capture his lips.
“Show me.” You whispered.
Laughing, Caspian led you towards the magical grass and you both disappeared from sight and sound of the normal world.

snow on the beach - c.x
anti-hero | you're on your own kid | midnights

summary: the one where you realise that there will be a change in your whole life and you have to leave to behind with someone you don't like
wordcount: 2.1k

Professor Cornelius was one of Miraz’s most trusted advisors. He had trusted him to raise his nephew, Cassian the tenth after the death of his brother, Caspians father. What Mirza was unaware of that was during Caspians joint lessons with the Professor and one of the ladies of the Telmarine court, that he was being taught all about Narnia history.
Caspian couldn't stand the girl who he worked alongside in his lessons with Professor Cornelius. She was stuck up, arrogant and downright annoying. He didn't care if she was the daughter of Lord Sopespian, he did not enjoy her company.
What he liked least about her was that his uncle was trying to propose for there to be a marriage alliance between the two teenagers. Caspian knew that his uncle needed alliances but there was no way he would ever want to marry you.
You felt the same way. There was no way you would marry someone as naive and ignorant as Caspian. You could see all the other ladies in the court fawning over him and even though you felt a little sick picturing him in love with these other women, you knew they would be better fit for the role; there was no way you could tolerate the Telmarine heir. Your whole life was to be unglued, all thanks to him.
He was insufferable but you would never wish harm on him. As you drifted in and out of sleep, you were unaware of the plot against his life. It was one night that would change your life, the moon high above your heads.
The professor that you shared with Caspian did though. As soon as he heard news of Prunaprismia and the child that she had given birth to earlier in the evening, he raced to Caspians bedchambers.
In the cover of night, he crept into the room and drew back the curtains on his bed to reveal the sleeping prince. He looked so peaceful and Cornelius knew that it was all going to change in a few minutes.
He shook Caspian awake and the young boy stirred for a second before squinting up at him in confusion, “Five more minutes,” he mumbled out, reaching a hand out to push his Professor away.
“We must hurry,” he said and when Caspian heard the urgency in his voice, he sat up and looked at the man he trusted most. He would not be making this up if it wasn’t urgent. “The baby is a son,” His eyes went wide at the realisation of what Cornelius meant, “Come, you must grab the duchess and leave,”
Caspian stood up, wrapping a jacket around himself before he followed Professor Cornelius down the steps. They split off for a second and he rushed into your bedroom.
He’d never seen you so peaceful. You were just lying there asleep, no furrowed brow, no condescending look on your face. He could feel his breath hitch in his throat as he looked at you. You were beautiful.
he shook off that weird feeling in his chest as he reached forward and shook you awake.
You were a light sleeper and when you opened your eyes to see him standing above you, you instantly pulled the covers over yourself.
“What's wrong with you Caspian?” you exclaimed as you reached for the dagger on your bedside table.
He grabbed your wrist, stopping you from brandishing a weapon at him. He looked down at you and he knew that you wouldn't believe him, “Shh, they're coming for me,”
He was right. You didn't believe him, not even for a second. Who was coming for him? You sat up in your bed, looking at him like he was a crazy man.
“You're insane,” you shook your head at him and he gave you that look hee used to give you when you were kids, the one that begged for you to trust him. You were teenagers now, not some starry eyes kids - he had finally gone insane, “Get away,”
Caspian knew that this must have felt like some scene from a book to you and he began to curse Cornelius for not taking this job, “Now that my cousin has been born, my uncle has sent people to kill me,”
That got your attention, “Your uncle is a good leader, he would never-”
You stopped talking when you heard the sounds of yelling outside and a lice that you recognised as General Glozelles voice. He was telling the truth.
Your eyes went wide at the thought and you pushed the blankets off of yourself. His eyes grew wider as well at the sight of you in your nightgown, the slightly sheer fabric flowing off of your body.
“What have you gotten yourself into?” You asked him, turning your head over your shoulder to look at him as you grabbed a bag, stuffing your dagger inside.
“Come with me. If you challenge him he will surely catch you too,” he suggested and you scoffed, slinging your satchel over your shoulder.
“What does it look like I’m doing, of course I’m coming with you,”
Without any hesitation, you followed Caspian down the steps to the stables where your professor was waiting.
He handed you your sword and then Caspian his. You suddenly realised how real this all was and that she was going to have to leave all of this behind for a life that she didn't know.
You hated your father. You hated him more than anyone else in the world and even though he was physically and emotionally abusive to you, his only child, you felt weird at the idea of leaving all you’ve ever known behind.
You took a deep breath before putting the sword into a holster that you strapped round your waist. You pulled a jacket on and looked at Caspian as he sat up on his horse.
He reached a hand out for you and you grasped it tightly, allowing him to pull you up so that you were sitting behind him.
When you saw Professor Cornelius standing there, you realised that he wouldn't be able to come with you. It would look too suspicious.
“You must make for the woods, they won't follow you there,” he said and you both nodded in response.
There was a chill that ran down your spine at the thought. You weren’t superstitious but you knew that there were stories of Narnians who lived in that forest, of trees that came to life and of centaurs and fauns.
The professor dug into his satchel before passing her a conch horn. She looked at it for a second, unsure what this was.
“Do not use this unless at your greatest need,” he stated and though she didn't understand why, she put it into her satchel and nodded her head.
Caspian sat there for a second, silent, “Will I ever see you again?” You had never felt sorry for him until this moment. He sounded like a little boy who was being separated from a parent and your heart broke a little.
“I hope so my prince, I still have so much to tell you both. Be careful. Look after one another,” he said.
Professor Cornelius placed a hand on your shoulder, shooting you both a sad smile before opening the gates
Without any hesitation, Caspian whipped the reins and the two of you started to travel out. You turned around when you got to the gates, a sad expression on your face as you looked at the castle.
This was all you had ever known. You had never travelled outside of the palace walls without a chaperone and now you were starting to wonder if you would ever get to come home.
The ride was bumpy but as you turned around, hands secure on Caspians shoulders, you knew that the two of you would be okay.
You could hear the fireworks and then you turned your head around again, watching the colours explode over the castle as they celebrated the birth of Miraz’s son. It was ironic that the happiest day of his life would be the worst of yours.
What was more important was that you could see the soldiers on their horses chasing after you and Caspian.
”They’re coming, and quickly,” you exclaimed.
You could feel a slight tug of hesitation in Caspian when you reached the border of the forests but he sped through the woods.
There was a chill that ran down your spine as you entered the woods. Everyone claimed they were haunted by the ghosts of the Narnians and even though your professor would always guarantee there was nothing dangerous about it, you couldn't help but feel fear of the Telmarine folk tales.
They crossed a river and you could feel the water resistance, “Hold on,” Caspian said as you reached a particularly deep section of the crossing.
Begrudgingly, you reached an arm around Caspians waist and held on tight, the side of your face pressed into his back.
There was an intimacy about the whole thing and you could feel a weird emotion in the pit of your stomach as you held onto him close. He would be lying if he didnt feel the same thing as you wrapped your arms around him.
Even when you crossed the river, you didn't let go of him and neither of you mentioned it. Him wanting you felt impossible, like some sort of dream. This can’t be the real thing. Can it?
“Are you okay?” He asked after a second, turning back to check on you. The question vanished from your head as you looked at him. There was no sound, only him.
You looked up at him, your heart pounding in your chest. Before you could answer him, the horse ran into a branch and you watched as he was knocked off of the horse.
Within a second, he was knocked off, his foot caught in the stirrups. You leaned down, trying to untangle him from the straps but as you did so, you fell off, hitting your head on a boulder.
Caspian watched as the horse sped off without either of you and when he turned to see you lying there in the middle of the clearing, he felt his heart speed up.
Although he hated you, he never imagined a life without you in it to annoy him. He instantly crawled over despite the pain in his head from having been dragged along the forest floor and he knelt by your side.
He could hear the Telmarine soldiers getting nearer and he knew that he had to make a decision. Run away and leave you there or stay and fight for you both.
He couldn't leave you.
“Wake up, wake up,” he muttered to himself as he tried to shake you awake.
He reached one hand out to grab his sword but it was too far. Before he could get up and grab it to make his final stand, he looked up to see two dwarves emerging from a hut.
He looked at them with wide eyes and instantly pushed you behind him. He wasn't going to let these creatures get you both.
One of the dwarves ran right past him and into the fight. He was confused as to why this dwarf would be so willing to fight against the Telmarines but did not question it.
When Caspian saw the other dwarf heading towards him, he knew what he had to do. He grabbed the conch from your satchel and blew it. The entire woods shook at the sound and he wondered what strange powers this conch had.
He looked down at you, a hand on your face as he realised that this dwarf would probably kill you both at the first chance. As he looked at you, he realised all of his feelings. They bubbled up in his chest and he realised that he wasn't going to be able to leave you.
Caspian reached over for his sword but before he could, the dwarf hit him over the head, knocking him unconscious.
The badger emerged from the hut and looked at the two of you lying there, Caspians hand still on your cheek, your faces turned to look at one another. He knew then that he couldn't let either of you die and that there was something special about the two Telmarine teenagers.
“Help me get them Nikabrik, we must help them,” he said and begrudgingly the dwarf helped to drag the two of you inside.
Little did they know what they had gotten themselves involved in

Jealousy with Pevensie (Peter and Edmund) + Caspian
pairing: Peter Pevensie x reader, Edmund Pevensie x reader, Caspian x reader
type: fluff 🌸
Masterlist
Peter
It can be read like an open book. All his emotions, and especially strong ones, are immediately reflected in his face, movements and words. Peter trusts you, but he can't do anything about this possessive feeling. It's easy enough to make him jealous.
He's watching you closely as you smile and laugh at another man's jokes. He won't interfere unless, of course, this man crosses the line. Lucy, noticing his concentration and slightly angry expression, will make fun of her older brother.
In public, Peter will remain calm, but as soon as you are alone, he will definitely show you all his storm of emotions. No, he won't swear, but his passionate kisses and biting of your delicate skin will show you much more.
Edmund
Edmund is possessive, so he will be jealous of you quite often. Unlike Peter, he's secretive, but you can tell by some signs that Ed is jealous. He will be courteous, outwardly calm, and will even joke, but his jokes will be sarcastic. He will also try to hold your hand and hug you if he suddenly notices that someone is looking at you for too long.
When you're alone, you'll have to hold him in your arms and kiss him on the cheek for a very long time. Until Edmund decides you've had enough. It will be a small punishment for you.
Caspian
He trusts you and it's not easy to make him jealous. If this does happen, then Caspian will try to be even closer to you. He will sprinkle you with compliments, hold your hand, and be by your side all the time. You can drown in his care and love if you do not dare to find out why he suddenly began to overdo it with feelings.
It will be enough for you to just have a heart-to-heart conversation. He would smile awkwardly and admit that he was jealous of you. His eyes would look at you with such love and concern that it would be impossible not to kiss Caspian.

The Chronicles of Narnia Masterlist
Caspian
The Faded Portrait of a Bygone Era series

Summary: Five Royals ruled over Narnia, crowned by Aslan himself. Their story is legend throughout all the land. A great detail of note is that these Kings and Queens are from another world. The fifth is even more odd - for she came from the same world as the others, but from an entirely different century.
When this small family is separated by time, it seems unlikely that they will ever meet again. But Aslan’s will is a tricky thing. Will the five be able to cope in this new Narnia, when everything they knew has gone, and a Telmarine Prince makes a bid for the throne?
Series Warnings: Canon-Typical Violence, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Magic, Major Character Death

Can I get Delmont HC’s for when one of their ex flings or situationships try to get at the Delmont’s again and reader just gets sad instead of jealous ☹️
Oh this was so good my hands started typing before I could stop em!
A/N: Yandere, murder mentioned in Marcos, Manny kills someone,
Starting with OG lover boy, Cas takes your relationship very, very seriously.
Let's set the scene, the two of you are cuddled up at a work party of yours and a coworker you didn't really talk to much comes sauntering over with a smile far too friendly for your liking, it made a nasty feeling settle deep within your gut, something about her gaze lingering on the tall man by your side made you feel uncomfortable.
"Caspian? I haven't seen you in ages! How are you these days?" She'd ask completely ignoring your presence. Your eye flickered from the long legged woman to your now tense boyfriend. Caspian was almost always relaxed and happy with you, so you immediately clocked his off behavior.
"Hey Ana, been good." Was his simple, curt response, his hand moved from it's warm spot on your waist to his pant pocket, (He felt his temper instantly rise and couldn't risk hurting you so he moved his clenched fist to his pocket.) and you felt silly about it afterwards but in that moment, that small action felt like a rejection. The ugly feelings brewing in your stomach made the drink on your tongue turn bitter.
"You look amazing Cas, I see you kept up with our gym routine after all huh?" She giggled as if it was an inside joke between them, her body faced him, now closer than before, and you felt like a stranger intruding on something personal, all too quickly, you felt your throat tighten.
"It's so crazy running into you here, I was just thinking about how much fun we had together, we should go out for a drink later, maybe catch up?"
Caspian stared long and hard at the woman but your emotions were quickly spiraling out of control, you could feel your gut twist at the thought of him entertaining her, and before you could hear his response, you muttered out a barley audible "Excuse me." To the pair, quickly making your retreat to the nearest bathroom, thanking the universe that it was empty because no sooner than you closed the door did your bottom lip start to tremble.
Had you stayed you would have seen the downright murderous look on your boyfriend's face.
In his head he's trying to figure out the best way to turn her down without embarrassing you at your job, it's the only reason he doesn't notice your sudden mood shift.
He was trying to process the woman's audacity, a curt decline on the tip of his tongue, when you suddenly disappeared from his side. In an instant panic, he not so subtly shoves his way past the woman to where he thinks you went.
He uses the tracker on your phone to track you down to the bathroom and fully intended on waiting by the door until you came out, but then he heard the sound he hated most in the world, you sniffling.
Bursts in the door like there's a fire, not caring about anything but getting to you, checking you over. He ignores your gasp and hushed whispers to get out before he got in trouble, and cradles your wet face between his big hands.
"What's wrong Honey? How can I help?" He's staring at you with those big red eyes, brows furrowed in concern, and you can't help the tearful giggle you let out at his behavior.
"It's stupid-"
"If it made my baby cry it's far from stupid." He corrects immediately, thumbs wiping at any stray tears left.
"That woman- the way she spoke to you. I just, I hated how that made me feel and I don't know- I'm sorry, we can just go back to the party okay?" You turn from him to face the mirror and in an attempt to brush past what you considered an embarrassing moment, begin wiping at the smeared mascara on your eyes.
He smacks his teeth at his own idiocy, he hadn't even considered how that stupid wench made you feel in the moment, god what must be running through your mind, he couldn't imagine an ex of yours trying to ask you out in front of him, the guilt swells immediately, he wanted to run back out there and throw that harlot down the stairs for making your pretty face fall the way it had.
Instead he made his way to the bathroom door and clicked the lock in place, you turned to face him but your questions died on your tongue as he made his way towards you with that particular dark look in his eye.
"Forgive me, my love. I didn't mean to make you upset, I just didn't wanna make a scene at your job." He says casually falling to his knees before you, his hands trailing up your calves, to your thighs, finally settling on the thin fabric of your underwear, he stared up from between your legs with the softest look on his face.
"Let me make it up to you Honey."
Gabe has a much more explosive reaction
You two are at the gym, Gabe was sweating and sitting there all gorgeous and shit, he's making sure you watch as he lifts, his veins bulging in his arms as he winks at you. "Be my spotter baby I need my motivation." He grits out with that wolfish smile stretched across his flushed face.
You weren't nearly as athletic as the man and sometimes it felt as if you didn't belong in the gym, but he was quick to snuff out these thoughts, swearing up and down he preformed better on his sets when you were watching, that he needed you by his side even if you weren't working out as well.
He not only wants you around because he can't get enough of you, but he also really wants you to see him be hot, unfortunately that meant everyone at the gym got to see it too.
"I'll be right back baby, gonna go grab you a water." You smile at his immediate pout, the grabby hands he makes as he demands a goodbye kiss, even though you'd only be gone a few moments, but that's all the time the blonde woman stalking up to him needs.
The stranger to you was an old fling of Gabe's, he barely recognized her when she invited herself to his personal space like she was allowed, the only reason he didn't immediately brush her off was because she said his name, he was confused as she neared him, her smile too wide to be genuine.
the blue haired giant was the best sex of her life and despite the fact that she saw his blatant affection for you, she made her move anyway.
You came back to quite the sight, Gabe sat stiffly on the machine he was at, his elbows on his knees as he stared up at the blonde beside him, his face set in that sinfully attractive hardened stare,
The woman currently leaning too close for comfort on his machine looked like someone out of a fitness magazine, she was fit, completely toned and gorgeous, you couldn't help the twinge of discomfort at how close they were, how they looked like the perfect couple.
You neared them awkwardly as her back was to you and heard her say, "It's been too long Gabriel, I miss you, god your body is still insane, what are your benching now 250? 300. You could definitely still toss me around the bed." Her tone was dripping in flirtation, she dragged a finger up the pole of the machine he sat on, leaning down to press her chest together.
Before you could think about turning away from the upsetting sight, Gabe abruptly stood up, his glare dead set on the woman, his eyes flickered to you, immediately clocking the way your shoulders shrunk in, how you seemed to deflate at the situation, he could practically read your mind, knowing how easily your brain went to the worst places, he felt his temper skyrocket at the mere idea of you being upset by this nobody.
"Baby! I think we should end this early yeah? I got a better idea for a workout that involves you, me, and my backseat." He says almost whining as he throws his sweaty body all over you, his arms holding you tight against his body as he kissed the top of your head, rocking into the hug.
"This place just let's anybody in, we should switch to a new gym." His glare turned to the woman, if looks could kill she'd be on the ground. "C'mon ma, let's go before I get belligerent."
Ricky fully ignores the interaction lmao it's so rude
You'd come to the Auto shop with a homemade lunch for your sweet Ricky as he forgot to pack his own and called you to bring him one (he definitely did this on purpose just to see you at work)
You enter the shop and start to head straight to the back before being stopped by a manicured hand snapping in your face rather rudely.
"Hi ma'am, you can't just walk in here, you have to make an appointment." The woman behind the receptionist desk was new, you'd never seen her in here before, she was practically sneering at you, her plastic, customer service smile held no warmth as she tapped her nail against the sign in sheet impatiently.
You laughed instinctually at the tense situation, trying to dispell the awkwardness, you didn't understand her hostility, "Oh my boyfriend works here, he's expecting me." You say offering her a friendly smile, trying to smooth over any unpleasantness.
"Well I'm going to need some identification." She says matter of factly, her body now blocking your path. "uh no?" You said not wanting the stranger to see your information, you'd come to the shop hundreds of times now, everyone knew who you were, everyone but this woman it seems.
She scoffed at your refusal her voice raising in anger as she glared at you, "If you don't cooperate I'll have to call security." She threatened not knowing how deep she was digging her grave.
"My love? What's going on." Ricky's deep, baritone voice suddenly called out from around the corner, he thought it was odd you hadn't appeared yet as his tracker app said you'd arrived at his work minutes ago, it wasn't like you to delay so he listened to his gut and went outside seeing you being harassed by the new receptionist.
His blood pressure rises instantly and he has to fight to keep his hands from yanking her away from you.
He'd only signed off on her hiring because he knew she was infatuated with him, they hooked up once a few years ago and she would do anything to have it happen again, of course Ricky had no intention of fulfilling her desires, he just needed someone he knew would keep their mouth shut if they happened to see/notice something funky with the shop.
But her value immediately diminishes the second she gets in your way, his glare could melt glass as he tells her a simple, but aggressive, "Move." He holds his arms out to you and when you curl into his touch he makes a point to kiss your temple, his focus completely on you. "Are you alright love? What was she doing?" He asks tenderly rubbing your face. The receptionist opens her mouth to respond but Ricky shuts her up with a single raised hand, "She was just asking for my ID, I brought your lunch!" You say excitedly, his gaze grows warm at the adorable sight before he turns to the woman, his eyes dead, his aura dark and imposing.
"Clean out your desk immediately, I want you out of my shop before I come back out here." His tone left no room for argument, almost threatening as he places a hand in the small of your back, gently leading you away. "You didn't need to do that for me-" he cuts you off with an intense, breath stealing kiss, "Of course I did, no one interrupts our time together."
Marcos had always been afraid of his promiscuous past coming back to haunt him, and his violent reaction to this shows.
The two of you had been at a club for a while now, both proper sloshed and sweating, hours of grinding on each other to every song that came on the thumping speakers, he's in heaven with his arms around your waist, his nose buried in your neck as he mouths needy kisses up and down your throat.
You motion towards the bar, your drunk body demanding more alcohol and he begins leading you towards it, his hands never leaving your body.
He all but pushes a guy out of his seat so you can rest there while he gets the bartenders attention. He freezes when the woman turns around. The bartender shoots him a knowing, flirty grin, leans over close and yells over the pounding music, "Hey Marcos baby, you come back for more? I can take my break right now if that's the case."
His eyes flicker to you and his heart stutters at the sad look on your face, be it the copious amounts of liquor you had in your body or how just how gorgeous the woman hitting on him was, you feel your spirits drop, your mind tortured you with images of them together, of him with another, and the insecurities bubble up faster than you can handle, "scuse' me." You drunkenly mutter clasping a hand over your mouth, your stomach felt queasy all of a sudden and you all but ran to the bathroom on shakey legs.
Marcos is seeing red, his mind panicking as he watches you retreat to the bathroom he feels sick himself at the thought of you leaving him, the fear that you may be comparing yourself to such a nothing person, the terrifying thought of this insignificant person making you see him different, it had his chest heaving in a barley concealed rage.
He fixes his burning stare on the bartender, his eyes holding pure malice as he holds himself back from pressing his thumbs into her eyes and slamming her into the bar until it broke.
He says nothing to her, his eyes making her so uneasy she baked away slightly, his mouth felt dry as he pushes and bullies his way past the crowd to barge into the bathroom where he finds you curled around the toilet, he's falling to his knees beside you in an instant, he keeps your hair from your face, a soothing hand on your back as you empty your stomach.
His words are soft and encouraging as he helps you to your feet, uncaring about his expensive clothes being dirtied, uncaring of how messy you look, his eyes are full of love, even a bit teary as he helps you to the sink, as you wash your mouth out he's wetting a paper towel and dabbing the cold cloth to your burning neck, "Oh baby, my sweet girl are you okay? I'm so sorry, come here let me see you."
The moment sobers him entirely, he's calling a deluxe Uber to pick you both up and sending a message to his twin about the bartender, he wanted the bitch dead for even momentarily causing you to frown, he's holding your swaying form against him protectively as he waits for the car, his mind swirling with thoughts of violence and revenge, how dare that waste of air upset you so much? The crime would be repaid in blood.
Manny has the most volatile reaction.
The two of you are a late night, semi exclusive car show, Manny loved watching the races, he stopped racing in them the second you said you worried for his safety but his love for the adrenaline filled sport remained, the classic cars were beautiful and he always smiled so brightly when you indulged his more risky interests.
He loved pointing out the racers he liked or hated, his favorite cars and why, sharing this with you was one of his favorite ways to pass time. You always looked so beautiful under the neon lights, the smell of gasoline in the air.
It's rare for him to leave your side when you're out and about so this happens in front of you, the two of you are cuddled up together, sat comfortably on the hood of his car, his arms around you as you leaned back into his chest, when a woman in leather saunters up to his car.
"Hey Manny, long time no see pretty boy." The woman coo's from her position, her eyes drinking him in, blatantly ignoring your existence.
"Yeah." Is Manny's only response, his grip on your hips tightening before he moves from holding you against him to stepping in front of you, keeping his body between you and what he felt was a threat.
His hair moved everytime a car whizzed by him, but he didn't flinch, his cold eyes trained on the woman from his past.
His voice was clearly irritated, tone leaving no room for friendly interpretation, and yet she persisted, taking a step closer to the tall man who had begun to clench his fists, his body trembling in unfiltered rage.
"You wanna' take another ride? This time if I win, I get my prize up front." Her tone was clear, her implication made more lewd as she looked him up and down.
"Don't talk to me like you know me. Don't talk to me like you're somebody." His voice was dripping venom as he spoke, and if he wasn't furious before, the sad, almost deflated look on your face at her comments made him see red.
The crowds of people were so thick and intense, the loud sounds of the revving engines and screaming spectators only added to his slip of control.
"Relax Manny baby! I'm just teasing you." She puts her hand on his chest and before you could blink the woman's body is flying out towards the road where a car smacks into her with a sick crunch, her limp body is dragged as the car speeds along, unaware of the carnage it caused, screams and shouts of horror come from all around you, people beginning to panic as Manny turns around, all malice gone from his face as he lifts you off the car and ushers you to the passenger seat without a word. "Time to go!" He all but sings as he peels out of the parking lot.
"Holy shit are you okay?" You asked him turning back to stare as the horrifying scene grew farther and farther from his rearview mirror. He placed a shaky hand on your thigh to calm himself as he spoke, "I'm okay baby girl, are you? I'm so so sorry you had to see that." He says, his only guilt came from your date night being cut short.
"Don't be sorry baby, no one could have known that would happen Jesus Christ." You put a hand to your chest trying to ease the fierce beat, he grabbed your free hand, bringing the back of your palm to his lips for a sweet kiss, his eyes crinkling in joy at the thought of her now crumpled body.
"Yeah, accidents happen."

Word Count: 2950
Caspian’s Masterlist – Main Masterlist
You knew that you shouldn’t be there, and yet, you couldn’t help your feet as they crossed the castle.
You were but a servant, after all, you ought to remain where you belonged. Which was anywhere but near the King. And yet…
… yet there you were, in front of the door of his private chamber, with some water and some clothes and bandages in your hands.
You had managed to convince your colleague to let you go in her stead; to have an excuse to offer the guards to let you pass and access the King’s private chambers. And she disapproved of your feelings towards the leader of your people, but she didn’t understand. She didn’t understand that you knew him. That you had spent long evenings with him, when you should have been cleaning and he should have been resting; talking, laughing, falling in love, one dreadful and yet irrevocable step at a time. A love that you had never confessed, knowing that he would not feel the same, knowing that this was impossible.
There had been rumours spreading while he was gone, talks of a terrible injury, the kind that could be lethal. Talks of his death, even. Of Caspian being hit by the sharp edge of a blade across the chest, of his blood staining the grass and making the cold ground fume. Of his eyes closing forever, of a last breath being drawn… And you refused to believe it. Even when people started to guess the name of the next King, you refused to give in. Something inside you knew that he was still out there, alive and breathing and that he would come home, eventually. Your friends called it delusion, denial. You preferred to call it instinct.
Still, when you had seen him, along with a large crowd gathered by the doors of Cair Paravel to welcome him back, you were worried. Everybody was. If he was smiling, Caspian was paler than you had ever seen him, his arm wrapped in a bandage, pain written all over his features despite his best efforts to hide it. Instead of the traditional banquet, the King had retired to his chambers as quickly as he could to rest, and rumours were starting again, claiming that his injury was worse than it seemed, that his life was still at stake, that a doctor was there constantly, that he had called for his advisors to decide on who would step next to the throne, just in case…
You had to make sure that none of these rumours were true, that he was fine. So, you imagined that trick with your colleague, convinced her to do it. And if she was supposed to give the bandages and the water to the guards, you had claimed that you had been told to bring them directly to the King. A royal order. No one could go against that. If Caspian failed to back up your story, you could be fired, or worse, sent in a dark cell for many years, but you didn’t care. Caspian and his injury were the only things on your mind.
You gathered your courage in a long intake of breath, and finally knocked on Caspian’s door.
His answer sounded distant, weaker than usual. Still, you obeyed the invitation, opened the door and walked in.
Caspian was lying in his bed, pillows set against the headboard so he could be half-seated. There were candles on his bedside table, and a warm fire in the hearth, and yet the room was dark, the inky sky shy of a moon and stars tonight. A half-eaten meal rested in a small tray by the bed, a book was set on the covers. And Caspian was there, buried under blankets, looking weak for the first time since you had met him.
Oh, you knew that he could be a gentle soul, you had talked about his weaknesses, he had showed you parts of his heart few had been lucky enough to glimpse at. But this was different. Somehow, over the course of the last year, ever since you had started speaking to him in private, Caspian had been a constant in your life. Once a week, you would sit together in the library, or in the gardens if the weather was gentle enough to allow it, and you would talk about yourselves, about what had happened in your lives while you were apart, about his worries, and your tasks, and he would complain about foreign dignitaries that drove him crazy, and you would laugh as you mocked some impolite lords and ladies. Every week for a year, you had been longing for these few hours spent with him, for his reassuring presence by your side, for the attentive ear he was lending to your unimportant life. And perhaps it was stupid, because again, you were but a servant, but during all these evenings you couldn’t help but believe him when he said that he cared, that he wanted to see you, that he was happy to spend time with you. It had been a regular meeting that had marked your life in such a way that you could not imagine living without it now.
And now, Caspian was lying in a bed, pale as sheets, beard a little overgrown, eyes so tired they seemed buried in their sockets, dark bags dug under his eyes. And for the first time, you thought that perhaps the rumours were true, that his life truly was endangered, that you could lose him for good…
“Y/N?”
He beamed up at you, a tiny bit of colour coming back to his cheeks for a moment, you couldn’t help but smile back.
“Your Majesty,” you bowed before walking closer, setting the water and clothes on a small table near the bed.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, but there was no resentment in his voice, more like disbelief, a tinge of awe at the sight of you.
“I came to take care of your bandages.”
“You?”
“I… I might have insisted…”
He chuckled, but quickly winced instead, hissing as his hand flew to hold his ribs. And he looked exhausted all over again.
“I apologize… broken ribs,” he explained. “Laughing is not recommended for a few more days.”
“I am sorry, I did not mean to cause you any pain. I can come back later…”
“No!”
He held out his hand, and you had no choice but to take it.
“Please, stay,” he asked, begging, and you had never seen such desperation in his eyes before. “Please…”
“Alright, I will stay.”
He pulled you closer, gently, until you would sit by his side; and he smiled at the feeling of the mattress bending slightly under your weight.
“What happened?” you asked, suddenly conscious of the quiet in the room, a silence barely disturbed by the cracking of the fire and the lulling movement of the wind.
He gave you a reassuring smile.
“I shall be healed in a few weeks, there is no need for you to worry.”
“There are rumours…”
“I am certain that they are most interesting. When is my untimely demise supposed to occur?”
He seemed relaxed despite his tiredness, and you caught yourself smiling at his joke.
“About three days ago.”
“Dear Aslan, I am back from the dead already!”
“It would seem so. You look the part, at least.”
He tried not to laugh, and you apologized as he winced.
“I have missed this.”
“My obvious disrespect toward my King?”
“You. I have missed you.”
He blinked, and you thought he needed rest, but he asked for you to stay again, just a little longer, and you couldn’t refuse.
“You did not answer. What happened?”
Caspian shrugged.
“It was a battle, I was wounded. There is nothing else to say about it.”
Slowly, you nodded, knowing that he was avoiding your question, but letting him get away with it.
“I should change your bandage. And then, I will let you rest.”
“Do I truly look so bad?” he asked with a crooked smile, but it faltered as you averted your eyes. It was your time to avoid his question.
You helped him out of his shirt, revealing the large bandage that encircled his torso and shoulder. He had another one around his arm. Both wounds were deep cut, that had been stitched by the expert hands of a doctor. Still, as you stared at the broken flesh, at the spots of blood still on his skin, at the red line crossing his chest… you realized just as lucky he was to still be breathing.
The rumours, if exaggerated, were not unfounded either…
You got to work in silence, hands shaking as you held back tears. Because you could have lost him this time, he could have never come back home, and then you would have never been able to tell him what he meant for you. That he was everything. That you loved him with a devotion you had never guessed yourself capable of. With a love you knew could never falter…
“Y/N?”
He wrapped his hand around yours, steadying your trembling fingers. You realised, then, that you were crying.
“I am fine. It is just a wound, it will heal.”
You didn’t stop him when he guided your palm to his heart, splaying your hand across his warm chest, and your heart staggered at the contact. He made you feel the organ hidden there, beating steadily, unwaveringly.
“I am fine. I am here,” he went on, tone soothing, unbelievably warm, and it made you cry even harder, breaking all of the borders to your hearts, all the walls guarding your soul.
“I was so scared,” you admitted, voice hoarse with your cries. “I am so scared…”
“There is no reason for you to worry. It will heal. I am perfectly fine. I simply need a few days of rest, and then everything will be back to normal.”
“You could have died…”
“But I did not.”
“This time. This time, you did not. What about next time?”
“Next time, I will not die either. I will come back, and you will be here to welcome me home, just as you are here now.”
He brushed your tears away with his thumb.
“Stop crying. I cannot see you in pain.”
But you didn’t calm down, and he frowned in worry.
“Y/N, what is it? What is on your mind? What has you so upset?”
Under your palm, his heart was still beating, you could feel it run across your entire body. You would have sworn your own heart was in sync with his now.
“I am sorry,” you whispered. “I cannot help it. The way… the way I feel for you. I am sorry.”
He frowned slightly at that, but there was some hope in his eyes as well.
“I think… Seeing you like this… I cannot hold it back any longer. I just… I must let it out. Even if I know that this is impossible, and that my feelings are unrequited… and perhaps you will never want to see me again but… it hurts too much to think that you could have died without knowing.”
You were bolder than you had ever believed yourself to be capable of when you reached up to touch his cheek, fingers tickled by his beard.
“I love you,” you confessed in a breath that even you could barely hear, and yet Caspian seemed to catch it loud and clear. The way his breath caught in his throat, and his heart under your palm sped up, became erratic… all these were giving him away. “I love you, Caspian. I have loved you for a long time. And… I know that I am servant, and that I will never be more than a faithful friend to you, but… I wanted to tell you, while I have the chance. Because despite being forbidden, my feelings are earnest, and that ought to mean something… If anything, it ought to be worthy of acknowledgement, at the very least…”
You were surprised to find tears in Caspian’s eyes, some that he tried to blink away, but failed to force into disappearance. Instead, he pressed your palm harder against his chest, and his heart was beating dangerously fast now. And through his gesture, he was trying to tell you something, or rather, to show you, as words were failing him now.
But you didn’t understand, and so he cleared his throat, at long last.
“I did not think that you felt this way for me.”
“I thought I was being obvious,” you replied, a painful smile on your lips. “All of my colleagues know. They have guessed. They call me a fool for it, and they are right, of course.”
“A fool?”
“You are King, and I am a servant. There is no more foolish love as this one.”
“I highly disagree. If anything… if anything, I am happy you are letting yourself yield to such foolishness.”
You frowned at his words, afraid to understand what he meant.
He looked down for a moment, looking for the right words, it seemed, and you gave him the time he needed to start speaking. Anyway, you didn’t know what to say.
“If you are opening your heart to me, then… I reckon that I should open mine as well. I… I was hoping you would come, that I would see you today. But I was worried that you would not want to see me, so I did not ask for you to come.”
You frowned at that.
“Why would I not want to see you?”
Caspian shrugged.
“I did not think that you harboured such feelings for me. I thought… I thought I was a mere friend. You have never shown any sign that there could be more…”
“You are King, there cannot be more. Despite my feelings, I am well aware that there will never be anything more between us.”
But Caspian shook his head, capturing your gaze in the blackness of his irises.
“Y/N… I am King. I am the one making the laws, I can marry whoever I want.”
He said it like it was easy. Like it would not create rumours, create tensions with other lands, like it would not infuriate the entirety of the Lords and Ladies, like the whole of Narnia would not criticize his choice. Like it merely depended on the two of you. It seemed such a foolish view of the world, naïve, too much so for such a clever man.
“The political crisis that would follow would be disastrous.”
“Why would it be? There is nothing wrong in falling in love. There is nothing wrong in marrying the woman I love either. We have never behaved in a disrespectful way, we have never crossed any line that should have remained uncrossed. There is nothing wrong with this…”
The woman I love.
His words echoed still in your ears, in your heart as well. You could not believe them… or rather, you could not believe that they were meant for you.
“Besides, there is a very easy solution to our problem.”
“Really?”
“I can dismiss you from the castle. Then you will no longer be a servant working at Cair Paravel. And then, if you want me, I can marry you.”
You stopped breathing altogether, and Caspian seemed amused by your expression. The smile that formed on his tired features was full of fondness.
“It is funny that you blame me for being blind, when you have been just as unable to see the truth as I was. I thought, too, that I was being quite obvious.”
“You cannot be meaning that.”
But he pressed your palm tighter against the skin of his chest, so you could feel even more vividly the beating of his heart against your hand, until it felt like you were touching it, like you were holding the organ itself.
He looked at you with such intensity, the entire world around you had disappeared.
“Y/N… do you not know…? Do you not know that my heart is yours? That it has always been yours? Can you not feel it?”
He gave you a gentle smile, voice barely more than a whisper and much deeper than usual, the weight of the confession making it too hard for him to breathe.
“My heart is in the palm of your hand, where it has always belonged. It has always been yours to hold in your hands.”
It was his turn to reach for your cheek, and you leaned into his touch without noticing. When he gently pulled you down, failing strengths not allowing him to lean up to meet you, you didn’t resist. Instead, you allowed him to guide you to him, until his lips and yours were but a breath away from each other.
“I love you,” he whispered, and your heart, you thought, exploded. “Can I… Can I do this? Y/N, I have been dreaming about this for so long…”
Instead of answering, of granting him permission to finally kiss you, you were the one to close the distance between your mouths, kissing him achingly, with every bit of your worry, your love, your passion, your withheld feelings poured into him through the tender gesture. And he responded with the same strength, the same unwavering desire to hold you closer, to devour you until you were one, to show you just as much he felt for you…
You kissed for a long time, forgetting about the world, the duties, the ranks and the time that passes. And in your palm, his heart was beating.
