Terraria-Houten (event)
"The largest terrarium event in the Netherlands"
Location: Houten, Utrecht, The Netherlands Price: 16,- Duration: 2 - 4 hours Transport: the bus from the station to the event location only goes once an hour, so it takes some planning. You can call in a bus, but even those were usually too full to take everyone. Language: Dutch, German, French, English. Activities: buying reptiles, insects, invertebrates, rodents, and everything related to them. Date of visit: Sunday 26 February 2023 Website
so much to see
Terraria-Houten is part of the ‘’Terraria-’’ expo series, where every month there is an event like this in a different city. The price depends on the size of the event, the one in Houten being the biggest. At this event, you can shop and find good deals on enclosures, health lamps, food, substraid, but also things like insect-inspired jewellery and taxidermied animals. That is all next to the obvious main attractions, the animals for sale. The most expensive animal I’ve seen there were 2.000 euros, as this is also a good place to find rare animals they don't have in most stores. Or to get common animals for cheap. I got my beetles from a pet store, 15,- for 3. Here you could buy the same kind 5,- for 5… Insects and interbred are a rare sight in pet stores over here. So once you find a store that has them, they overprice it. But besides it all it was also fun to look at animals, even tho I feel bad for the small containers, tho those are temporary. I got to hold a giant millepede, and petted turtles, ferrets and giant snails. The event does also have a rodent section (and frozen rodent) but it's small. Fun if you're ALSO interested in rodents besides the rest, but don't go if that's your main goal. Also, if you go, you have to take cash with you and download the PayPal app. I was not prepared for this but since the people behind the stands come from all over the place and from other countries, specifically Dutch paying apps are not going to work. And at most stands, it's not possible to pay by card at all. Cash is your best option, so be prepared for that.
buy buy buy
I myself keep a terrarium with sun beetles and isopods, but I wanted to add more, so I went to get other kinds of beetles and millipedes. At the beetle stand, I asked what beetles would work well together with my beetles, and they told me beetles are actually racist!? no, but yeah they all have a different chemical smell and things, therefore pretty territorial to other species. So I decided to not get more beetles and focused on millipedes. i was so hyped by the first one I saw that I bought it immediately, it was a black and white millipede for 5 euros, I called her Mime. As we walked further, we found a whole stand with all kinds of millipedes. I knew about the giant millepede and really want one, but the enclosure I have right now would be too small (25 litres, 6.6 gallons). They were also kind of expensive on that stand, prices of the ones I wanted ranging from 10 to 25 euros per millepede. At the back of the event, something caught my eye, 4 millipedes for 10 euros. They were bigger than the one i bought before and that was a steal. As I bought them I got the entire enclosure including some wood pieces and stuff. He clearly wanted to get rid of them, but as the rest of the stand had no animals like that, it might have been that these were used for food or something.
Another thing I bought was homemade fruit jelly. This guy sold them for 90 cents per piece, and that was already cheap for fruit jelly. We wanted all 9 flavours, but I only had 5 euros cash left, the guy said it was fine because we were so chill! Lastly, I bought a bird leg, probably a leftover from a failed attempt at taxidermy, I'm going to make an earring out of it.
Not the best location
The location is not optimal as the bus only goes once an hour, and walking it will take you more than half an hour. Since it was already freezing, you (and the animals you probably bought) will not appreciate this. But the event does have free parking, so your best option would be to take the car. Definitely, if you have a long shopping list with you.
Another thing the event could do better is an advertisement or the site. If you see the site, it almost feels like it’s not their real site, but it is.. If I was looking online and found this, I would have never gone there. I only went because my friend have been there before and told me it was cool, and so that's also how they got the info about this event from other friends. From a marketing standpoint, it's almost impressive they even get people to come with a site looking like that and 0 advertisement. On the other hand, I'm glad, it was just the right amount of busy, so more people would make it chaos.
TLDR:
+ Fun expo with cheap deals and rare animals
+ anything you need for keeping any animal + handcrafted supplies from small businesses + free advice, and the ability to ask questions + A lot of stands
- bus only goes once an hour - how you can pay differs widely from stand to stand - the site looks sketchy
Would I revisit it: yes I would, it's a cool place to get good deals and get inspired. Who do I recommend it to:people who keepreptiles, insects or invertebrates.

Top 10 Must-Have Items to Bring for Every Successful Job Interview
Interviews can feel overwhelming. The stakes are high, and the pressure to make a lasting impression often looms large. It’s no wonder we spend hours practicing answers in front of mirrors, poring over job interview guides, and Googling the essentials to carry. If you’re here searching for clarity on what to bring, you’re in the right place. Let’s dive into the ultimate checklist to help you shine in your next interview.
1. A Polished Hard Copy of Your Resume
This may seem like an obvious one, but it bears repeating: always bring a neatly printed copy of your resume. Ensure it’s free of typos and printed on high-quality paper. Slip it into a folder or file to keep it crisp and professional. While you’re at it, keep a soft copy ready on your phone or email, just in case the company asks for it.
2. Relevant Certificates
If your resume mentions certifications, be prepared to back them up. Whether it’s a professional qualification or a recent workshop you attended, having these documents handy can make a strong impression. Store them in an organized folder to avoid fumbling during the interview.
3. Your Portfolio (If Applicable)
For creative roles like photography, graphic design, or architecture, your portfolio is your trump card. A well-curated portfolio showcasing your best work can make or break the interview. Make sure it’s updated and visually appealing. Whether in a physical format or a digital copy on a tablet, ensure it’s easily accessible.
4. Copies of Supporting Documents
This is a step often overlooked. Proactively ask the HR representative if any specific documents are required. Common items include:
Cover letters
Experience letters
Reference letters
Copies of your ID card
Even if no specific requests are made, carrying these documents shows you’re prepared for an interview.
5. A Reference List
If you’ve been asked for references, create a concise list including:
Names
Job titles
Contact details
Relationship to you (e.g., former manager, colleague)
References add credibility to your application, so choose individuals who can vouch for your skills and professionalism.
6. Directions to the Office
Navigating to an unfamiliar location can be stressful, especially in a bustling country like Nigeria. Jot down the office address and contact details. Apps like Google Maps can be helpful, but technology can fail, so having a written backup is wise. Plan your route and leave early to account for traffic or delays. Carry some cash in case you need to use public transportation or hire a cab.
7. A Valid ID Card
Security protocols in many Nigerian offices require visitors to present valid identification. Whether it’s your national ID, driver’s license, or voter’s card, ensure you have one on hand to avoid delays at the reception.
8. A Prepared List of Questions
Interviews are a two-way street. You’re not just there to sell your skills but also to assess if the company is the right fit for you. Prepare insightful questions about the role, company culture, or growth opportunities. Asking questions shows initiative and genuine interest.
Here are some examples:
What does success look like in this role?
Can you share more about the team I’d be working with?
What are the company’s plans for growth in Nigeria?
9. A Water Bottle and Snack
While this might seem unconventional, staying hydrated and energized is essential. Interviews can sometimes run longer than expected. A small water bottle and a snack, like a granola bar, can help you stay focused and comfortable.
10. Confidence and a Positive Attitude
Lastly, don’t forget to bring your best self. Confidence is key in interviews, and a positive attitude can set you apart from other candidates. Remember, you’ve already made it through the initial screening — you deserve to be here. Take a deep breath, believe in your abilities, and let your enthusiasm shine through.
Bonus Tips for a Winning Impression
Pack Smartly: Choose a professional bag that can neatly hold all your documents. Avoid crumpled papers or a cluttered appearance.
Dress Appropriately: Ask about the dress code in advance. Even if it’s casual, leaning towards formal attire is always a safe bet.
Bring Stationery: Carry a pen and notebook for note-taking. It’s a subtle yet effective way to show attentiveness.
Research the Company: Read up on the organization’s mission, values, and recent achievements. Tailor your responses and questions to align with their goals.
Conclusion
Being well-prepared is half the battle won; this checklist ensures you enter your view feeling confident and ready. For candidates in Nigeria, where traffic and infrastructure challenges can add to the stress, planning ahead is particularly crucial. By following these tips, you’ll not only avoid common pitfalls but also leave a strong impression on your potential employer.

Steps to How to Withdraw Money from Robinhood?
Today, I want to share my personal experience and insights on how to withdraw money from Robinhood. If you’ve been investing and trading on this popular platform, there might come a time when you want to access your funds. Fortunately, the process is straightforward, but there are a few important details to keep in mind. Let’s dive into the steps and some tips to ensure a smooth withdrawal.
Getting Started with Withdrawals
Understanding the Basics
First, it’s essential to understand that withdrawing money from Robinhood is not instantaneous. The process involves a few steps, and knowing these can help manage your expectations. When you sell stocks or other securities, the proceeds must settle in your account before they can be withdrawn. This settlement period usually takes two business days.
Steps to Withdraw Money from Robinhood (How to Withdraw Money from Robinhood)
Step 1: Ensure Funds are Available
Before initiating a withdrawal, make sure your funds are available. This means waiting for the settlement period after selling any securities. You can check your buying power and withdrawable cash in the Robinhood app.
Step 2: Link Your Bank Account
If you haven’t already, you’ll need to link your bank account to your Robinhood account. Here’s how you do it:
Open the Robinhood App: Log in to your account.
Go to Account: Tap the account icon at the bottom right corner.
Select Transfers: Choose “Transfers” from the menu.
Add Bank Account: Follow the prompts to link your bank account. This usually involves providing your bank’s routing number and your account number.
Step 3: Initiate the Withdrawal
Once your bank account is linked and your funds are settled, you can withdraw money. Here’s the process:
Open the Robinhood App: Ensure you are logged in.
Go to Account: Tap the account icon.
Select Transfers: Tap “Transfers” again.
Withdraw Funds: Select “Transfer to Your Bank” and enter the amount you wish to withdraw.
Confirm Transfer: Follow the prompts to complete the transfer. It typically takes 1-3 business days for the funds to appear in your bank account.
Things to Keep in Mind
Withdrawal Limits
Robinhood has a daily withdrawal limit of $50,000. This is more than sufficient for most users, but it’s good to know if you plan to withdraw large sums.
Bank Transfer Fees
One of the great things about Robinhood is that they don’t charge fees for bank transfers. This means you can move your money without worrying about additional costs eating into your funds.
ACH Transfers vs. Wire Transfers
Robinhood uses ACH transfers, which are free but take a few days to process. If you need your money faster, you might consider wire transfers, although these can incur fees from your bank.
Personal Tip on How to Withdraw Money from Robinhood
From my experience, planning is crucial. I once needed to access funds quickly but was caught off guard by the settlement period and transfer time. Now, I always ensure my funds are available a few days in advance if I anticipate needing them.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Failed Transfers
If your transfer fails, double-check that your bank account information is correct. Ensure there are no restrictions on your bank account that could prevent the transfer.
Account Verification
Sometimes, Robinhood might require additional verification for security reasons. This could involve providing additional documentation or answering security questions. It’s a minor inconvenience but important for protecting your account.
Customer Support
If you encounter any issues, Robinhood’s customer support is available to help. You can contact them through the app or their website.
A Smooth Withdrawal Experience
Withdrawing money from Robinhood is a straightforward process once you understand the steps and timing involved. By ensuring your funds are settled, linking your bank account, and initiating the transfer, you can access your money with minimal hassle.
Final Thoughts on How to Withdraw Money from Robinhood
Robinhood’s user-friendly interface and clear instructions make the process easy, even for those new to investing. However, knowing the settlement period and planning your withdrawals can save you from unexpected delays. I hope my insights and tips help you have a smooth withdrawal experience.
Feel free to share your own experiences or any questions you might have in the comments below. Happy investing, and here’s to your financial success!

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Using Budgeting Apps
Budgeting apps have become essential tools for managing finances, but many users still make common mistakes that hinder their effectiveness. Understanding these pitfalls can enhance your financial health.
1. Failing to Customize Your Categories One of the most frequent errors is not tailoring expense categories to fit your lifestyle. Generic categories may not capture your spending habits accurately. For instance, if you frequently dine out, create a dedicated category for restaurants rather than lumping it into "food." Customization allows for better tracking and understanding of where your money goes.
2. Neglecting Regular Updates Budgeting apps thrive on current data. Users often forget to update their spending regularly, leading to inaccurate financial overviews. Make it a habit to log expenses daily or weekly. Many apps offer automatic syncing with bank accounts, but you should also manually input cash transactions or any unusual expenses.
3. Ignoring Goal Setting Budgeting apps are not just for tracking expenses; they can help you set and achieve financial goals. Users often overlook this feature, focusing solely on tracking. Take advantage of goal-setting options to save for a vacation, pay off debt, or build an emergency fund. Setting specific, measurable goals can motivate you to stick to your budget.
4. Underestimating Small Expenses It's easy to dismiss minor purchases, but they can add up quickly. Users frequently overlook categories like coffee, snacks, or subscriptions. Track every expense, no matter how small. This attention to detail can help you identify areas where you can cut back and save more effectively.
5. Forgetting to Review Reports Many apps provide analytical tools that offer insights into your spending habits. Users often skip this step, missing out on valuable information. Regularly reviewing reports helps identify trends, allowing you to make informed decisions and adjustments to your budget.

So some of you who've followed me for some time might remember that, around five years ago, I played an Arcana hack called Seal of Rimsala. Ultimately back then I decided that it had good ideas but was held back by how hard the reduced rate of enemies made it to grind. Well, I've been occasionally checking back on the updates and learned recently that 3.0 got released earlier in the year. And am happy to say it has greatly improved from what I played in 2019!
(note I'm using terminology from vanilla when applicable, not because name changes aren't good or correct, but in case someone who knows Arcana but hasn't played the hack is reading so they know what I'm talking about)
The grinding issue is somewhat mitigated by the maps that come with this release showing places with higher than normal monster concentration. Now, I'm not sure if these existed in vanilla or not since I'm not a hacker (though since Stavery 12F is one of them and I always thought I got into more random fights than normal...). But it definitely helped me to get into my groove in several places. Also, I've readjusted strategies and found perfect grind spots thanks to said maps including ones with the enemy domains so I can grab places with high EXP enemies.
There's now people credited with translation work, properly fixing early 90s censorship and things that were just plain wrong in the original. Which is what I'd been looking for in a text cleanup patch when I first checked the hack out of curiosity. I was also happy to find out that 99% of the things they said were how I interpreted the Japanese dialog when I looked into it...remember, I'm not a skilled translator, just an idiot with a kanji dictionary app. The biggest exception was a line I'd thrown my hands up figuring out anyway after trying to look up what the sentence meant when my app failed (so did Google Translate but that's not a surprise).
The new updates to the equipment makes it so much easier to make choices on what to equip and when. Like, I kept the Crystal Sword on over the Spirit Sword for much of Chapter 5 because it was doing more damage to the non-elemental Minotaurs and Jotuns while Teefa and the Spirits handled the elemental stuff. This also applied to figuring out what Attribute spell to cast between better labeling of Elements and the power level. Also...A+ names for the new spell names that better describe what human attack spells do. It also helped me to realize that I'd written Salah's Attributes 6 and 3 backwards in my lists...but a quick peak into Vanilla ENG and JP shows it was reversed and I was too dunderheaded to look at the MP costs.
Was a bit of a challenge starting Chapter 5 since all Teefa's equipment and Darwin's sword were moved till after the Karul fight. Money got tight and I didn't get Rooks a Kaiser Shield until after escaping the tunnel with Darwin's free gear (the darn thing is only 20,000 off max money and I needed to add a sword, a staff, and a robe to the shopping list). Though that let us punch dragons down for a bit till we were down to shields.
Gonna go back sometime with the Level Select which I tried out while doing my checks on Salah's spells in all three versions of the game I've access to. Probably run Chapter 1, then after starting the scenes in Chapter 2 reset and do the Level Select instead so I can amass as much cash as possible for Run 1, then try it again with Chapter 5 due to the listed changes in the readme file (which I won't spoil if anyone wants to play for themselves).
All in all, thanks to Autumn Shinespark and the team for improving this game so much!

How to Withdraw Money from Robinhood to Bank Account
Withdrawing money from your Robinhood account to your bank account is a straightforward process, but ensuring that each step is followed correctly is essential for a smooth transaction. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the process, ensuring that you can transfer your funds with ease and confidence.
Understanding Robinhood Withdrawal Policies
Before initiating a withdrawal, it’s crucial to understand Robinhood’s withdrawal policies. Robinhood allows users to withdraw up to $50,000 per business day. However, if you have recently sold securities, the proceeds from those sales may take up to five business days to settle before they can be withdrawn.
Step-by-Step Guide to Withdrawing Money from Robinhood to Your Bank Account
Open the Robinhood App: Begin by opening the Robinhood app on your mobile device. Ensure that you are logged into your account. If you are using the Robinhood website, log in through your preferred web browser.
Navigate to the Account Tab: Once logged in, tap on the account icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This will take you to your account overview page.
Select 'Transfers': On the account overview page, you will see several options. This option allows you to initiate a transfer of funds either to or from your Robinhood account.
Choose 'Transfer to Your Bank': In the 'Transfers' menu, select the 'Transfer to Your Bank' option. This will open a new screen where you can specify the amount you wish to transfer.
Enter the Amount: Enter the amount of money you wish to withdraw. Ensure that the amount does not exceed your available withdrawal balance.
Select Your Bank Account: Choose the bank account where you want the funds to be transferred. If you have linked multiple bank accounts, make sure to select the correct one. If you have not yet linked a bank account, you will need to add one by providing your bank’s routing number and your account number.
Review and Confirm: Review the details of your transfer to ensure everything is correct. Once you are satisfied, confirm the transfer. The funds will typically be transferred to your bank account within three to five business days.
Understanding Settlement Periods
One of the critical aspects of withdrawing funds from Robinhood understands the settlement periods. When you sell stocks or other securities, the proceeds from the sale must go through a settlement period before they become available for withdrawal. This period usually lasts two business days, referred to as T+2 (trade date plus two days).
Instant Withdrawals
While the standard withdrawal process takes a few days, Robinhood also offers instant withdrawals for a small fee. This service allows you to access your funds immediately, bypassing the usual settlement period. However, the instant withdrawal feature may not be available to all users and is subject to certain conditions.
Withdrawing to a Different Bank Account
If you need to withdraw funds from Robinhood to a different bank account, you must link the new bank account to your Robinhood account. This can be done through the 'Banking' section in the app. After adding and verifying the new bank account, you can proceed with the withdrawal process as described above.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Insufficient Funds: One common issue user’s face is insufficient funds in their Robinhood account. Ensure that your account has enough settled cash to cover the withdrawal amount. Remember, unsettled funds from recent sales cannot be withdrawn until the settlement period is complete.
Incorrect Bank Details: If the bank details you entered are incorrect, the withdrawal will fail. Double-check the routing number and account number of your bank account before confirming the transfer.
Pending Transactions: Pending transactions, such as recent deposits or sales, can affect your available balance. Ensure all transactions are fully settled before attempting a withdrawal.
Withdrawal Limits: Robinhood imposes a daily withdrawal limit of $50,000. If you attempt to withdraw more than this limit, the transaction will be declined. Plan your withdrawals accordingly to stay within this limit.
Contacting Robinhood Support: If you encounter any issues during the withdrawal process, Robinhood’s customer support team is available to assist you. You can reach out to them through the app or via the Robinhood website.
Conclusion
Withdrawing money from your Robinhood account to your bank account is a simple process if you follow the steps outlined in this guide. By understanding the withdrawal policies, settlement periods, and potential issues, you can ensure a smooth transfer of your funds. Whether you opt for the standard withdrawal process or utilize the instant withdrawal feature, Robinhood provides flexible options to access your money when you need it.
