To Catch A Turtle
@foxespen, "So part of the spiderman powers are having enhanced strength, right? So they could probably pick up any one of the turtles pretty easy, even if they stand at like half the brothers’ height. Imagine during a fight one of the boys gets thrown off a roof and their friendly neighborhood spider catches them and is just hold them bridal style and says like “if you’re gonna fall for me, it doesn’t have to be on a roof”Or something"
~xXx~
It wasn’t often the boys and (s,n) would get into a tough fight, but it seemed that with BeBop and Rocksteady, it always was one. They were two formidable foes for the ninja turtles alone, so having someone like you to fight along side them in these cases was always a welcome advantage.
When Donnie had relayed an alert from Casey, it wasn’t long till the four brothers found themselves fighting the two enemy mutants atop a bank building. Five minutes into the fight and you made your entrance by web launching yourself into BeeBop’s face, with a corny, “Starting the party without me I see!”, as you back flipped off the warthogs face. Just like that, with cheerful greetings, you and the crime fighting terrapins fell into sync, dishing out all you could against the other two. However, as the fight drew on, perhaps due to growing exhaustion, not everyone was able to stay on top of their toes.
“What do these guys even want?!”, you asked aloud, dodging a thrown pipe and landing next to Leo.
The leader in blue charged forward, swinging his dual swords at Rocksteady who was quick to hold up a chunk of broken building to block the attack. Narrowly ducking out of a punch from BeBop, Donnie swung his staff into the warthogs side, earning a harsh yelp from the assailant.
“Not sure. April thinks they’re making some sort of deal and need the cash to do so.”
“Stay out of our business, turtles!”, BeeBop snapped, grabbing Donnies staff and shoving the taller terrapin back into Raphael who had tried to attack from the side.
“The zoo’s not going to take you two, no matter how much you bribe them!”, you quipped, easily dodging Bebops attacks and jumping onto his back, blinding him with multiple web shots and tugging him in different directions as he started a blind rampage.
A loud laugh came from Mikey as he watched you rodeo the warthog, Leo and Donnie running towards you to assist.
“Good one, angel cakes!”, Mikey winked, just missing a punch from Rocksteady.
“The insects jokes are lame!”, the rhino grunted with irritation, grabbing a hold of Mikeys swinging nun-chuck and pulling him forward to give him a hard kick.
“Hey! Only I can call their jokes lame!”
Rocksteady quickly looked over at the person who had shouted, only to suddenly be tackled by a very heated Raphael. With a strong hold of the larger mutants midsection, the red clad ninja used all of his might to push the other to the edge of the building. Despite nearly having the wind knocked out of him by Raphael, Rocksteady was quick to firmly grasp his shell. With a loud grunt from above, Raphael had suddenly found himself being lifted into the air, staring down at a triumphant Rocksteady before being sent flying over the tall buildings edge. The last thing heard, as Raphael struggled to regain sense of what was up and what was down, were his brothers frantically shouting after him. At the height he just been thrown from, Raphael knew that even collapsing into his shell would prove futile to the crushing gravity once he hit the streets below.
Out of nowhere, Raphael felt his stomach lurch back and forth as something, or rather someone, swiftly swung him from one side of a building to another in a quick descent. It wasn’t till the world stopped spinning around him did Raphael peek open an eye, confusion followed quickly by shock when he realized who had been his savior.
“You know, Raphael, you make quite the cute damsel in distress if I do say so myself.”, you cheekily jested, and said turtle could just picture your eyebrows wagging beneath your mask.
(S,n) had been holding the bulky terrapin like he was air. Their arms snuggly wrapped beneath his knees and the midsection of his shell. Despite the alarming size difference, you cradled Raphael so carefully and securely, in a way that he had wished to someday carry a significant other. Yet, to be the one being held in such a manner, caused the macho man of a turtle to feel his face quickly heat up, and scramble out of your arms even quicker when he heard the approaching foot steps of his brothers. One could practically feel the heat of embarrassment radiating off of him, as he tried desperately to play things cool.
“What happened to BeBop and Rocksteady?”, Raph questioned his brothers, hoping beyond belief that they hadn’t seen a thing.
“They managed to get away, but not without leaving behind what they tried to steal. Casey and the NYPD are on their way to pick up the stolen goods.”, Leo informed, looking between his flustered sibling and the spider person beside him.
Raphael just let out a scoff, turning sharply and walking off in a random direction.
“Where are you going?”, Mikey confusingly asked.
“To find my sai's.”
“Your welcome by the way!”, you shouted out, to which Raphael simply sent you back a deep scowl before returning to his search.
Despite the aggravated grumbling you could hear come from the hot headed person you saved, you continued to smile to yourself, the squinted eyes of your mask telling of your hidden expression. Pulling out a pen and small note pad, the parchment labeled (s,n) Notes, Donnie began to scribble away.
“Did he even weigh anything to you?”, he questioned with scientific curiosity.
You shrugged, hands on your hips as you peered up at Donnie.
“Like a feather.”
“Oo, oo! Me next!”, Mikey excitedly shouted, bounding towards you at top speed.
Not even your spidey senses could have prepared you for Mikey’s suddenness, you both collapsing to the ground just as you’d barely caught him in your arms. Leo merely shook his head in slight disappointment, Donnie continuing to jot down notes, and Raphael in the distance still trying to calm his flustered heart.
~xXx~

GUESS WHO FINALLY GOT PARAMOUNT!! WOO!!
After well over a year of being in this fandom, I was finally able to see the series finale!
Some minor spoilers for folks who don't have access to season two below
This might be an unpopular opinion but the fight scene at the end of Battle Nexus New York is probably my new favorite fight scene in the series (including the movie). It's the only time we ever get to see the entire clan/family fighting and its brilliant! Cassandra catching April's bat midair and wielding it herself, Splinter sliding in and knocking Draxum's feet out from under him to save his life, Mikey chucking a mode of transportation at the Shredder for the second time this season its great!
As for the inspiration for this, two particular standouts this season were Leo and Cassandra. They have interesting parallels in their arcs, both finding themselves in leadership positions and gaining new mentors. Casey getting a position she always chased before finding out it's not something she really wants vs Leo having a position he never wanted thrust upon him. Leo losing his new mentor figure vs Casey saving hers at the last minute.
I wish we had gotten more time to savor General Jones. It's the scariest she's ever been, and I love it! This woman almost kills Big Mama for daring to imprison her master within less than three minutes of being given the chance! I see 03 Shredder/ Karai in her.
Leo, meanwhile, is wielding what would be (in this hypothetical au) Karai's sword. A single katana as opposed to his previous superfluous odachi. I could see him picking it up right before he knows they have a retreat plan, knowing how dangerous it is to be completely unarmed in front of such a foe and wanting to protect his family (and wanting something to remember Gram Gram by).
Technical Notes:
I did Cassandra first and inverted it. Color picking from that is how I got Leo's.
There's a lot of opposites between them:
Cass is top and front lit whereas Leo is back and bottom lit.
Leo is standing tall and facing upward whereas Cass is leaning forward in an almost bow and facing downwards. Same with Shredder and Karai
Shredder has his back to his General whereas Karai almost presenting her g-grandson.
I changed the yellow prominent in the ring to purple since it's the color that Big Mama and The Shredder share.
In designing General Jones, I blended usual depictions of Casey Jones with depictions of The Shredder and Karai.
Cassandra's previous mask that covered her mouth is now replaced with one that covers her eyes. Take from that what you will.
I cannot draw the turtles without some sort of pants on. Sorry, I just can't

I love how in every Chuck episode there is that moment like:
Casey: I came here to stop you from breaking the law
Chuck and Sarah: Help us pls
Casey: okay I’m helping you break the law
LIKE THE MAN IS SO EASY TO CONVINCE HE WILL LITERALLY DO ANYTHING IF YOU ASK HIM MORE THAN ONCE

THE 10 BEST VIOLENT JAMES DEEN PORN SCENES (in my opinion)
when it comes to male porn actors, there's none i look up to or attempt to mimic more in the bedroom than James Deen. he is simply porn's "golden boy." the way he talks, acts, carries himself, and (of course) fucks in every rough scene he stars in is what i aspire to be. picking only 10 of his craziest documented sexual endeavors was difficult, but i think i've got a good list here. so without further ado, here it is, the 10 best JD scenes, in my humble opinion. go on, google is free, have some fun while you read. ❤️
Whore Wife (Cherry Torn, Kink™) - classic gangbang scene which is conveniently also where my header image is from.
Extreme Anal Queen (Adriana Chechik, ANALIZED.COM™) - rough bathroom anal scene. doggy over the sink is my favorite part. there's also a toilet involved. nasty stuff.
Pornoromance (Lia Lor, James Deen Productions™) - this scene has it all. any scene fully produced/released by the man himself is a good choice, this one is a cut above though.
Pornstar Punishment (Ashli Orion, Brazzers™) - schoolgirl scene. you'll notice there's a "fuckpig" element in most or all of these but this one especially, so much at times that some versions cut out some of the facial play/humiliation. i guess Brazzers wasn't rocking with it lol. if you can find one with the full footage, save that shit for real, cuz i ain't giving you it lmao.
Ravished By The Wrong Man (Lia Lor, Kink™) - second entry in this list with Lia Lor, this time with bondage. if that's your thing, then just like the last one, this too has it all. ropes, ball gags, i think a taser gets pulled out at some point? yeah.
BANG! Casting (Yhivi, BANG!™) - god, where do i even begin? the best chemistry on this list. Yhivi is absolutely adorable and she's having the time of her life in this scene getting used like a ragdoll. just violence, a couch and smiles. my personal fav.
Casey Calvert: Show Me Rough (ANALIZED.COM) - shifting over to the reality aspect now, from staged scenes and radical angles to camcorder vlogs and single recording positions. still hot as fuck. starts out with a great convo, then goes 0 to 100 seemingly almost out of nowhere.
James Deen's 7 Sins: WRATH (Carmen Caliente, Carmen Callaway, Dani Daniels, Delilah Davis, Janice Griffith, Jessica Ryan, Sadie Santana, Shay Ryan, Trinity St. Clair, Vyxen Steel) - i mean, i think the title and the cast list explains enough.
The Slutmother (Kelly Divine, Brazzers™) - another classic scene from the days of old. Deen really laid the hammer down with the face slapping in this one, which is funny bc it's a Godfather parody. don't know why he went so hard for something so comedic, but i love it.
"BANG! Casting" (Abella Danger, BANG!™) - struggled with this last slot but had to throw in another casting couch banger. this one is a doozy. i like the Yhivi one more because she's much more submissive/less aggressive than Abella is here but i mean jesus, this bitch gets trashed and thrashed in this one. there's a part where he chucks her into the wall and i laughed the first time i watched it. nasty, just nasty.
HOPE Y'ALL GET A KICK OUT OF THIS ONE YOU SICK FUCKS. ENJOY.

Winn didn't know a lot of things about his life. He never met his birth parents, never really cared to either. He didn't understand how he could be adopted into a family at 2 and then have both his parents leave him by the time he was 11. At least he had Chuck and Ellie, the three siblings forming a bond that was unbreakable. Ellie was protective of her brothers, finding that despite not being related by blood they truly were meant to be together. It was a day of celebration, the day they both got into Stanford. It was the life they had dreamed of. Chuck meeting Jill and dating her. Winn meeting Sarah and the rest was history.
Until Bryce got Chuck kicked out of Stanford. Something Winn still didn't understand. How he could betray his best friend and get him kicked out of his dream school. It was the start of what Winn and Chuck referred to as the 'collapse'. Jill broke up with Chuck, Sarah was gone. The two returned to Ellie unsure of how they were going to move on in their future. Winn thought he was just going to take a gap year, but that year was spanning to five and he was instead working Nerd Herd with Chuck and Morgan at the local Buy More.
For the third time in his life, Winn's entire world was shifted. A birthday email from Sarah turned into government secrets in his brain. Hiding this entire life from Chuck and Ellie. Bryce coming back into his life and following him around the Buy More until he couldn't ignore him anymore. Learning that the girl he loved more than anything was a rogue spy and she was gone. Casey came into his life and wanted to lock him away, but instead Winn was now living this whole other life that he couldn't tell anyone about. No matter how much he wanted to.
And when he was sure life couldn't surprise him anymore, Sarah was alive. They thought they were standing in front of a bomb, Winn and Bryce deep in an argument when the timer went off and they thought they were going to die. And maybe part of Winn did when he realized that Sarah was still alive. He turned on his heel and ran as fast as he could with every intention to never see her again. But that choice wasn't his anymore, not when she was asking to see him and Casey pushed him into the room.
Rubbing his palms together, he took a shaky step into the room. "Hi Sarah."

With your back to the doorway, you don’t see Casey walk into the kitchen. You don’t need to, though, because you have a special skill about knowing where he is at all times. Since you joined the Intersect project and moved into his apartment in Echo Park, you’ve honed that skill, and now you can find him in your sleep. If that wasn’t completely unprofessional or was something you would even consider doing, of course.
“Good morning,” you greet when he walks into the kitchen behind you.
Casey grunts in reply and you smile to yourself.
“What time is it?” he grumbles.
“Beckman said we have to be at the Buy More when it opens. Something about the government of Croatia or Czechia… Congo?”
“Did you listen to her at all?” Casey questions. “Past the letter C?”
“It was like one a.m.; my ears don’t work that early.”
Casey growls quickly before he steps around you. His hand presses gently against your back as he reaches over your head.
“Chad,” you remember as Casey withdraws his hand. “A few members of the National Transitional Council found out about the Intersect. And they want it.”
“So, we have to stick closer to Chuck than Morgan does. Fantastic.”
“Casey, listen. Chad is… those people are still suffering from the dissolution of the Assembly. The political violence should be their biggest concern, so if they’re willing to ignore their human rights issues and come to the States for a computer full of secrets, they intend on getting it.”
“I know. But we have a job to do, so focus,” Casey demands. “What’s the plan?”
“Your call, Major Casey,” you reply.
He rolls his eyes at your playful smile, but you’re sure he knows you mean it. You trust him with your life, and because he outranks you, you know he will come up with a plan that will keep Chuck and the Intersect safe.
“I think the most important decision you have to make…” You pause to push yourself up to sit on the counter. You lean toward Casey and drop your voice to finish, “Why am I, your lovely girlfriend, going to be at the Buy More all day?”
“I’ll figure something out,” Casey grumbles.
“Sir, yes, sir,” you say.
You salute Casey as you jump off of the counter. Thinking about Casey will distract you from the mission and the Intersect, and even though you’re becoming an expert in ignoring your feelings, spending the entire day at his side may change that.
“Hi, Chuck,” you call.
Chuck jumps as he closes the door of the Nerd Herd car. He turns quickly, wide-eyed as he raises his hands toward you.
“Stop acting like Casey,” he demands.
“We’re NSA agents, Chuck, we’re trained to act like this. Listen, I have good news and bad news, what do you want to hear first?”
“Depends,” Chuck answers slowly. “Does the bad news involve a windowless bunker?”
“No. More like a 38% chance of death.”
“Oh, yeah, that’s so much better. Why would you tell me that?!”
“Someone is looking for the Intersect, and they’re not going to stop until they find it, Chuck. Casey and I will be with you 24/7 until we can get more information,” you explain. “Nothing is going to happen to you.”
“So, you hang out with your boyfriend to stay close, and he follows me into the bathroom,” Chuck deadpans. “Great.”
“Chuck, I know it’s hard, but you have to trust us. If you have to make jokes to make this better, do it, but you are in real danger. We’re doing everything we can to keep these people away from you.”
“I do need to make jokes,” Chuck agrees. “If the situation calls for it, would you kiss Casey?”
You smile and pass Chuck a water bottle with a panic button on it. He flips the bottle to look at the button as you walk past him. When you hear him step behind you, you answer his joking question with a serious answer.
“In a heartbeat, Bartowski,” you admit.
“Chuck, can I borrow Casey?” you ask, glancing over your shoulder.
“Not unless you can guarantee that there aren’t any snipers on the roof of the Large Mart,” Chuck replies.
“A Chadian war general just checked into the CitizenM,” you tell Casey. “And my source tells me that he was asking where to get the best computer help in Burbank.”
“We need to get Chuck out of here,” Casey says.
“And then what? Let him come in here and find nothing? He won’t hesitate to kill everyone in here, but if he’s a member of what’s left of the Chadian government, our people can’t touch him!”
“We’re here to protect Chuck,” Casey reminds lowly.
“Which just delays our fight. So, let’s give this guy the Intersect.”
“Whoa! What?” Chuck exclaims. “I know I can be hard to protect, but that’s a bit extreme.”
“Absolutely not,” Casey grumbles.
“We don’t have another option,” you argue. “I can do this.”
“I’m telling you no.”
“Don’t pull rank, Casey. You know that it’s our best bet. We need intel and to keep Chuck safe, sending me in does both.”
Casey clenches his jaw and looks over your shoulder. He’s considering it, but if he says no again, you’ll have to listen. No matter how much you believe that you can do this, go undercover, and get what you need, Casey is still your superior and has the final say.
“Fine,” he answers. “But you’re not going alone.”
“What about me?” Chuck asks. “If you’re both going crazy, what happens to me?”
“You go underground with Sarah until this is over,” Casey answers. “Now.”
“Yeah, yeah, I get it,” Chuck rambles as he gathers his things.
“Chuck,” you call after him. “Behave.”
“Underground, unsupervised with a beautiful woman,” he says, pretending to ponder his situation.
“Woman with a gun,” Casey reminds him. “Don’t make me mad before I get back.”
Chuck salutes Casey before he rounds the corner, and you struggle to hold your laugh in. You taught him that, knowing that Casey hates it, but it’s funnier to watch than you expected. Casey grumbles as he walks you out of the Buy More.
“There’s not a better option here,” you say softly.
“I know. But if anything happens to you, it’s on me,” Casey replies.
You knock on the door of the target’s hotel room and hold your breath. Casey is just down the hall, but there’s still a moment where everything could go wrong. When the door before you opens, the one behind you opens as well. Simultaneously, a large group of men exit the elevator, directly between you and Casey. You’re trapped in the center of an ambush, and they seem to think you’re the Intersect. Exactly as planned.
“Hi,” you say toward the man from General Beckman’s file. “I’m-“
“Property of the government of Chad. Get her ready,” he commands.
The men around you close in, and you resist the urge to fight them. It’ll only make this worse for you, but even though you know that the idea of being taken like this bothers you. Casey is on the other side of the hallway, with no chance of getting through to you, so you accept your fate and let them bind your hands and legs with no more than pleas you hope sound scared and desperate. They’re the ones who should be scared, you remind yourself. –
“Move!” Casey demands as he storms into Castle.
“What happened?” Sarah asks.
“They fell for it. The Intersect has been abducted,” Casey answers quickly. “Alert Beckman so I can get back out there and find her.”
“Let me help,” Chuck says.
“Absolutely not.”
“He can find her, Casey,” Sarah adds. “If anyone has a chance of knowing where this guy would take her, it’s Chuck.”
“No, it’s the Intersect!” Casey snaps. “And that’s the reason she’s probably in some abandoned warehouse or underground shelter being tortured for intel she doesn’t have!”
“Then let me fix it,” Chuck responds. “Please.”
“Fine.”
Casey turns the computer to show Chuck a picture of the man who took you. He flashes instantly, and Casey tilts his head to the side as he waits for answers. You need to be found before it’s too late, and Casey will never let you talk him into doing something like this again.
“Jel Akiloye, a member of the National Transitional Council of Chad and responsible for over 200 human rights-related deaths,” Chuck says. “Recently purchased property in Echo Park through a multi-national corporation with ties to the U.S. and Africa. And he’s planning to get information from the Intersect and then wipe it. Or, in this case…” “Eliminate,” Casey finishes. “Where in Echo Park?”
“That’s complicated. I’ll drive!” Chuck calls as he takes Casey’s keys from the desk.
“How does this Intersect work?” Jel asks as he circles you.
“It, uh, was originally supposed to be a computer. The trial to see if the data could be uploaded into a human mind wasn’t supposed to happen, but wrong place, wrong time. Now the secrets are in my head and the computer was destroyed,” you ramble.
“Tell me where it is.”
“Where what is?”
You inhale sharply as he slaps his open palm across your cheek. His rings cause your skin to sting long after he withdraws his hand.
“What your people stole,” he answers. “Where is it?”
“That’s not how it works. I don’t just know everything,” you explain. He raises a large piece of rubber, and you yell, “Wait, wait! I need to hear a name or see a picture, and then it just kind of runs through my mind. Like an open computer file.”
He looks past you and nods. A few seconds later, a sharp prod is pressed against your side. A motivation to tell the truth and a punishment if you don’t, presumably.
“Ringdell,” Jel says. “Where is it?”
“Ringdell?” you repeat.
You press your lips together to keep yourself from laughing, but a chuckle breaks through anyway.
“Ringdell is somewhere between Rivendell and the fires of Mordor if I had to guess.”
Jel steps toward you and pulls your restraints harshly. Your chair tips forward, and you try to lean back as he pulls you so you’re face-to-face.
“I will get answers if I have to pry them from your unresponsive brain,” he threatens darkly.
You resist the urge to tell him that’s not how brains work, but before you can open your mouth to speak, the prod presses harder against you, and you tense as the point breaks past your skin.
“Do your worst,” you whisper.
Jel nods over your shoulder and you bite down on the inside of your cheek rather than giving him the satisfaction of hearing you scream.
You wake harshly when someone lays their hands on either side of your head. Everything hurts and your brain desperately wants to let go, but you force yourself to open your eyes. As you raise your head and shoulders off the concrete, prepared to fight, your vision blurs as your head spins.
“Easy, hey,” Casey says, holding your head still. “Stop.”
You exhale and stop fighting against his hold. He slides his right hand behind your head before you drop it to the floor.
“Stay awake,” Casey demands.
“Can’t,” you mumble. “How’d you find me?”
“Chuck helped.”
“Too bad the Intersect taught him kung-fu instead of reconstructive surgery.”
“Don’t move your head,” Casey says. “This is going to hurt. I’m sorry.”
“Thank you,” you whisper.
“You-“
Casey lifts you from the ground, and, in his arms, you’re finally safe enough to stop fighting and relax.
An incessant beeping and a sharp poke to your arm force you to wake again. When you see Ellie standing beside you and reading from a clipboard as a nurse inserts a new IV into your arm, you realize that you’re in the hospital. If Casey brought you here instead of patching you up himself, it must have been bad.
“Hey,” Ellie says softly when she sees your eyes are open. “How are you feeling?”
“I’ve been better,” you answer.
“I can imagine. The police are talking to Casey, but I’ll send him in as soon as he’s done. Let me know if you need anything.”
“I will. Thanks, Ellie.”
She walks out and the nurse follows her. Alone in the hospital room, you look down to see all of the injuries littering your body. Some you remember experiencing the initial pain of, others must have been inflicted while you were unconscious, and you’re sure there are even more that you can’t see.
You look away from the bandages covering your right arm and reposition the blanket. Someone moves outside the door, and you lean forward to see who it is.
“Casey,” you call.
He steps inside with his brows furrowed until he sees you awake and leaning forward uncomfortably.
“You brought me to the hospital. Why?”
“It was the only option. I told the ER staff that it was a mugging gone wrong. Beckman helped us cover it with local police,” Casey informs. “What do you remember?”
“A lot of questions, mostly. Pain, and then you were there.”
Casey’s nostrils flare as he nods.
“What?” you press.
“You were alone when I got there. We have no idea where Jel or his men went.”
“Is that why you’re standing outside like a bodyguard?”
You smile at Casey, and his shoulders drop slightly. If they still think you’re the Intersect, nothing will keep them from coming back to seek more answers. Your side begins to ache, and you shift awkwardly to ease the dull pain spreading throughout your body.
Casey walks to your side and lays his hand on your upper back. He tilts his head toward the wall behind you, and you lean against his hand as he lowers you gently. You know that Casey cares about you, he’s a good partner, but the concern in his eyes and the soft, caring touches are new.
“You thanked me when I found you,” Casey says. “Why?”
“For finding me,” you reply. You furrow your brows, wondering what else you could have been thanking him for. “They would have killed me eventually.”
“It’s my job.”
“You and I both know I could’ve been written off as a casualty of the mission. Instead of staying with the real Intersect, you saved me and brought me here. So, I thanked you.”
Casey nods once and walks back to the door. He stands with his hands clasped behind him, his guard up as he protects you from seen and unseen threats. You watch him and ask yourself if there’s more to his actions than the job. It’s never been part of his mission to care about you like this, just to keep Chuck safe, yet here he is, miles from Chuck to stand by your side and protect you.
“Casey,” you call again.
He steps back inside, and you smile at his concerned frown.
“Don’t you need to get back to the Buy More?”
“Sarah is with Chuck. Nothing to worry about,” Casey answers.
“And you’re playing bodyguard instead of a local cop because?”
“I’m not standing guard. I’m answering your questions.”
Casey turns on his heel to return to his previous position and you sit up quickly to stop him. You gasp when the ache in your hip suddenly shoots up to your ribs and down your thigh. As you close your eyes to breathe through the pain, Casey moves to your side and grips the blanket covering you.
“What’s wrong?” he asks.
“I don’t know,” you answer.
You push the blanket away and tug your hospital gown down before you swing your legs over the side of the bed. Casey raises a hand to stop you, but you stand before he can. When your feet hit the tile floor, you hear the audible pop of your joint snapping back into place. You raise your knee and feel a tendon roll, but the pain dissipates nearly immediately.
“Ow,” you breathe out before chuckling.
“Are you okay?” Casey inquires.
“Much better now. You would’ve caught that, by the way.”
“But I couldn’t have gotten the broken cattle prod tip out of your side without causing permanent muscle damage.”
You shrug before you sit on the edge of the bed. Casey taps his knuckles against your arm as he stands to his full height.
“I think a hug would help me heal faster than playing bodyguard in a crowded hospital,” you muse.
“I’ll call Ellie, then,” Casey replies drily.
“So, you’ll save my life but won’t hug me. I see how it is.”
Casey looks down at his phone and grunts.
“I have to get back to the Buy More. Another agent will be outside,” he tells you.
“I don’t need a-“
“No arguing. I’m in charge and you need someone here with you.”
“Yes, sir,” you reply.
“If you need anything, call me,” he adds. “Anything at all. I’ll be back later tonight to make sure everything is okay.”
Your brows raise at his unfiltered care, and you agree. “I’ll call.”
Casey nods once and exits your room to brief the NSA agent waiting in the hall. You watch through the window as Casey leaves and begin counting down the minutes until he comes back. When Casey touched you and expressed that he cared about you, your pain numbed. If you didn’t see him as more than a partner before, you certainly do now.
The new guard takes his place without introducing himself, following Casey’s instructions to the T. As he watches everyone coming and going, you wonder if you’d be able to sneak past him to go home. Living in the same apartment as Casey has been vital to your cover, but now you think it may also be the best place to heal quickly. Your phone buzzes as you create a plan to get past your security detail without raising suspicion.
The text from Casey makes you laugh: Don’t sneak out.
He knows you well, which doesn’t help your racing thoughts about him. When he gets back, maybe you’ll appeal to the soft, caring side he showed earlier and convince him to take you home. Or at least give you that hug you asked for earlier.

Do the Killer Frequency Men Respect Women?
I'm a woman and this is from my POV, therefore my words are gospel/j
Forrest Nash: Yeah he does. Not much to say here. Dude doesn't have misogynous bone in his body
Brian Ponty: I mean...if it gets him business then sure, why not. Just keep in mind that his respect's dubious at best
Maurice: On a good day, maybe. Idk he just seems kinda assholey but he's like that to anyone regardless of gender so meh
Murphy: I think he does, yeah. He seems like he wants to raise his son right, and a part of that includes how to respect women
Plunker: Listen, I know frat boys got their stereotypes, the main one being that they're kinda douchy. Luckily he is absolutely NOT that stereotype at all. He gets a certified "respects women"
Eugene: He does, but to a kinda toxic degree. I'm talking neglecting his own self respect and wellbeing and that's not okay. Know your worth Eugene
Roller Ricky: um YES. He 110% respects women. He's like Forrest: not a single misogynous bone in his body. Hell he doesn't have a single drop of misogyny in his blood. He gets ten certified "respects women"s
Chuck: eh could be either or. He's kinda bland. Then again I don't like assuming the worst in people so I'll say he does
Jason: He probably does. Casey seems like a respectable woman who wouldn't put up with a misogynistic asshole. Also he's friends with a woman. Kinda hard to see a misogynist doing that
John: He's an old guy, which means old values. However I don't think he's a misogynist. I just can't see it. I think he was raised knowing how to treat women which he carried through his life. There are still a couple of things he might need to learn tho
Henry Barrow: I can see him respecting women. It would seem weird if Marie didn't teach her son that. I mean yeah she did groom him into becoming a murderer but still. She probably wanted to raise him to be a respectable man like his father was
Teddy Gallows Jr: Haha NO! Are you kidding me? The dude's reeks of misogyny. He'd probably be an Andrew Tate fan shilling hustlers university 😂. That's why I put his bitch ass down here at the bottom where it belongs
In conclusion, with the exception of Teddy Gallows Jr., the Killer Frequency men respect women to at least some degree. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk
#why did I make this#why did I take time out of my night to make this 😂#killer frequency#killer frequency game#too many fucking characters so I'll just tag the ones that matter to me#forrest nash#roller ricky#henry barrow

just so you know bc I don’t think enough people tell you this but every time I check your blog (a bit compulsively at this point? your compilations and opinions are very enlightening on the general psychology of those crazy motherfuckers and also the uhhhhhhhh other part) and see that you answered another ask I honestly break into the hugest grin and settle down at the next given opportunity to read the newest batssay (batsplat essay) like it’s an academic paper (it is to us sports scholars, I believe)… please never feel the need to cut short your thoughts on any subject. the longer the better! connect all the dots, bat! we are listening!!
thank youuuuu this is so sweet, I know this ask is a little older but trust whenever I get something kind in my inbox I very much read and appreciate it and it very much makes my day. and I love the term batssay. a lot
so I thought it'd be fun to do a follow up post to the casey/jorge/valentino one where I just dumped a bunch of photos with a wee bit of context... for the culture, y'know. and I'm doing this with just casey/valentino, mostly for 2007-09 but with one 2005 photo chucked in as. build-up. for flavour
we know from the #archives that the two of them did have like. a reasonably warm dynamic pre-casey's motogp debut. they'd talked... also at least one race where casey shows up to valentino's podium and chats to vale's crew chief and fellow aussie jb... I think about it often. what did it all mean
casey's first win!!! qatar 2007, very first race with ducati. he'd gotten very close to a win before - in his third ever premier class race at turkey, lost at the final chicane. casey's goals going into that first season with ducat had just been winning a few races... he notes that valentino congratulates him warmly, but reckons it's just because valentino didn't take him seriously as a threat, which. I don't think that quite stacks up with supplementary evidence from the time, but we'll allow it
one of my fave photos for a reason, idc it's sweet. I was trying to figure out when this photo was from through like, normal means of reverse image search, but then instead I had a horrifying moment of 'oh yeah I'm pretty sure I remember that specific presser backdrop is at mugello that year' and. I was right. which. god. anyway yeah mugello 2007 pre-event presser. by this point casey was 21 points clear in the championship standings
more mugello 2007!!! look at casey constantly sipping from his lil cup. this will have been after qualifying, where casey snagged pole. I'd forgotten valentino actually makes front row in qualifying because he makes a typically horrendous start. I'd also forgotten that this race is like. proper good. one of the best that year. slows down eventually but the first ten or so laps are some of the most exciting of the entire alien era
catalunya 2007, which unfortunately I also dated solely through the presser backdrop. idk I just like the vibes of this photo. anyway!! this race is ofc the one where casey won an all timer late race duel against valentino (+ dani). it is after this race that valentino said casey was, and I quote "riding like a god". a seminal moment
the championship is already extremely over by the time they get to estoril, but casey still needs to formally wrap it up: this is his first match point race. depicted here is valentino getting one of his few Ws that season. an account of this event: “valentino was playing table football in the yamaha hospitality and somebody spotted casey outside. so they invited him for a challenge. it was all good fun”
motegi 2007. valentino had managed to put off the inevitable the race before and temporarily stopped casey from sealing the title, taking his last win of the season (cool duel with dani in that one). but motegi... well honestly it's just a bit of a flop all round, nobody's bike is working the way they want it to, casey seals the title with his worst result all season of a sixth place (the horror) and in his autobiography he was kinda like 'well I was very happy but also. meh race' (I paraphrase). but really, who cares, he had his title
bit of a time skip!! after both of them have put their sketch early 2008's behind them, the pair of them had a proper fun fight at catalunya for p2. a continuation of the battle the year before with valentino once again coming from lower down the field, this time he gets the better of casey. still, things are finally looking up at ducati... and the post-catalunya test might be enough to put casey right back in title contention. the above photo is from donington, where casey confirms the progress ducati made by winning his first race of the season after the opener in qatar
still donington, both of them watching each other etc etc. valentino is in a much better place than the year before, given both casey's rough start to the season and how they're both now on the same tyres. but it's not a good sign if casey's hitting his stride... at assen, valentino makes his one mistake of the year and crashes on the first lap, remounting to finish eleventh (he still beats casey's teammate melandri). this puts dani in the championship lead - and with casey's second win in a row, he is now very much closing in
look at them chatting here!! cute imo. this is casey's third win in a row, at the rainy sachsenring. dani crashes out from a few miles in the lead - while casey had stayed sensible and brings it home for a pretty straightforward victory. valentino needed to fight his way through from further down the field and in the end he loses too much time to put any serious pressure on casey, but it's still damage limitation and he retakes the championship lead from dani (who will miss the next race due to an injury sustained in the crash). and yet, momentum really is firmly on casey's side now... and the rest of the calendar does looks like pretty casey-friendly territory. next up, they're headed to a race track where casey had won very comfortably the year before. would he seal his fourth consecutive win at laguna?
now with my sincere apologies to casey stoner, every photo that came out of laguna 2008 is objectively pretty funny. I have limited myself to a mere two podium photos, but lbr there's a full collection. casey had already rejected valentino's handshake in parc fermé - which some might have taken as a social cue to give him some space. whereas valentino, local dickhead, just will not stop yapping at casey on the podium. this is quite possibly as genuinely delighted as he gets after a race, and it's simply a beautiful contrast with casey who is not quite rude enough to actually tell valentino to shut the fuck up - but may be fantasising about pushing valentino off the podium. this, to me. is art
gather around body language experts, we need to have a conversation. this is at the pre-event presser of the race immediately after laguna, aka brno. by this point, casey's less than flattering remarks about valentino's riding at laguna had already been distributed near and far... everyone's been talking about them, people have Opinions. the captions for these photos are all something along the lines of 'stoner extends olive branch to rossi to apologise for his post-race comments after losing laguna'. now, I don't know if he literally is apologising in these actual photos - though of course he did publicly walk back his comments, saying all riders can react badly to losses and that he'd overreacted when he'd said he'd lost respect for valentino. he has since walked back his walking back, doubling down on his criticisms of valentino's comportment at laguna
still, for all the talk that the feud properly started after laguna, it's kind of fun to have the presser immediately after it showing... well, it does look like casey is actively engaging valentino in conversation, right? whether he's apologising or not - this isn't just valentino yapping at him, if anything it's the reverse. laguna had been right before the summer break, so casey had been given a month to cool off... and also be viciously criticised by the press. brutal, isn't it? it's not just the loss that sucks, it's also being excoriated by the press and fans for having the audacity to get mad over it. is all of this just him being forced into pretending to play nice to get the press to leave him alone? were there any genuine regrets over his laguna comments? what ARE the vibes between them like at this time? what story do these photos tell us
casey went on to crash out of this race from the lead, the first time he had done so in the premier class and his first dnf with ducati after their one and a half seasons together. when he crashed, he'd had a fairly comfortable lead over valentino - though valentino was steadily closing in, and the commentators were already rubbing their hands in anticipation of another laguna
the next race is at misano - and casey is struggling with an old hand injury, see the bandages in the photo. the previous year had been the first time valentino had gotten the chance to race at this circuit, so close to his home... but he'd suffered a mechanical dnf, not his first or last in a frustrating season. this year, everything is different - and casey once again crashes out of the lead as valentino takes victory in front of his worshipful home fans
another trip to america, this time for indy: their first time racing at the track. after the double whammy of brno and misano, casey's title charge is essentially over... but you never know, right? indy kinda gives off the vibe of being a good casey track
in the end, the race is extremely wet and very, very windy and is eventually red-flagged. because of how many laps they still have to go, it is initially unclear whether they would restart... at which point first valentino (who was leading), then casey (in fourth) go to dorna ceo ezpeleta to tell him they have less than zero interest in going out in that weather again. a beautiful moment of solidarity - long live the power of unionising, capable of overcoming even the bitterest of feuds. blast the internationale over the footage, I've seen enough. the race is called off and valentino wins his fourth consecutive race
by the time they get to phillip island, valentino has already won the title, courtesy of his fifth consecutive win at motegi - the same circuit casey had won the title at the year before and the home race of valentino's old enemies at honda. a couple of nice photos of jorge congratulating his teammate and casey spraying vale with champagne here. casey, known phillip island goat, would of course finally end valentino's win streak at that circuit, which is where the photos are from. idk they're fun to me, like this is still not that long after laguna. I'm aware being able to chat normally with your coworkers and share a smile with them isn't normally that high a bar, but canonically valentino has been known to completely blank some of his rivals. it's not like casey is particularly cold towards valentino either, eh
case in point. this is from sepang 2008. #TheEstablishment does not want you to know casey and valentino canonically still regularly yapped in pressers post laguna. they won't silence me. sepang was valentino's last win of this season, after a good scrap with dani - and the season is rounded off with a casey victory at valencia
jerez 2009, where valentino gets past casey with a block pass at the final corner on his way to victory. unlike in 2005, he actually manages to not barrel into his rival. this is just a fantastic photo... I don't even have much to say about it. a+ vibes
a lot of the photos from this season were already included in the jorge/valentino/casey post, which reflects how casey wasn't consistently a factor in the same way the other two were. this one's from assen, the race right after catalunya when all three of them were tied on 106 points. very good side eye here, excellent job casey. unfortunately, casey is now in mystery illness territory - and he can't really compete with the two frontrunners in this stretch of the season
this is the first race after casey's return to competition - valentino goes up to casey after qualifying at estoril to congratulate him for his front row grid position. casey would win an early race scrap with valentino in the race itself, eventually finishing second behind jorge and swiftly silencing all the people who had declared him mentally weak and done for in his absence. a race that brought back suspense to that year's championship
phillip island 2009, another important moment in the canon where I've limited myself to just the one photo. casey wins just his second race back - and he also hugs vale pretty warmly in parc fermé. jorge was kind enough to crash in the opening lap, meaning valentino can very much be pleased with a second place here
and at sepang, valentino seals the title, while casey wins another race. casey ended up crashing in the warm-up lap of valencia, apparently due to an issue with the tyre warming? just kinda... the general vibe of his 2009, really. valentino closes off the season with another podium at his least favourite track, while dani takes the win
anyway after that they spent three years getting into increasingly. dumb arguments. like. so dumb. by the end of 2012 you feel you're killing your brain cells by even engaging with this stuff. it's beyond undignified. there's zero competitive justification, but they just couldn't shut up about each other. that being said, they're still capable of doing a small talk with each other even during the dark years, so that's something. maybe one day they'll finally be able to get that dinner and talk about all the good times
#get that green line test freak on twitter on the brno 2008 photos imo#nnngghhhh such a sweet comment truly anon... it really is appreciated i love seeing lovely stuff in my inbox#it's just my average response rate is. y'know#//#brr brr#batsplat responds#the important thing about this rivalry is you need the moment where you clock casey actually enjoys talking with valentino#which is notable insofar as casey. uh. actually extremely does not enjoy talking to a lot of people. like that's a born misanthrope#it just really adds to the tension of that rivalry#casey's stance on valentino is that he's The Actual Devil but also a pretty nice guy. which... well he's not wrong is he#other valentino rivals aren't enlightened enough to hold both of these opinions simultaneously but casey. casey has them all beat

Friends fight too
all turtles x fem!reader (platonic, best friend relationships)
summary: friends fight all the time and sometimes it gets a bit too far
A/N: this is probably my, like, 5th angst fanfic of these turtles. told ya im the expert when it's angst; i like to break people's hearts ;)
"the best fights don't occur between strangers. they occur between friends who trust each other." - chuck palahniuk
It was a cool simple Tuesday night when the turtles and you went out for your patrol. You're a still in training to become part of their team as a female ninja - a kunoichi. You've trained under their watch and Splinter's but mostly Splinter. The turtles, when not occupied to save the city under Chief Vincent's order, would train you.
Even Mikey. Yes. His classes aren't easy to catch up especially when he's hyped about you joining their team. He makes sure you eat enough so you can build a muscle.
"Don't be as bad as Raph, though." He said one time and with sharp ears, Raph threw a spare shoe at Mikey's head and knocked him over.
Almost 9 months into training, you were 87% ready according to Donnie's statistics. A week or two and you'll be 100% ready depending on your confidence.
Whoever said ninjutsu was easy, they're nuts. Here you are in your early 20s learning extensive martial arts, you are sure your legs are going to give out the moment you're in real combat.
Which is happening right now - Donnie's monitors picked up movements from a factory 10 minutes from their whereabouts and Casey Jones, who is now the NYPD's lead detective, contacted them that there was a gang infiltrated the place. The turtles responded.
"We'll be there by truck." Leo informed Casey and turned to you, "Head back to the lair."
"Wait, I'm not going with you? I'm almost full-on kunoichi."
"It's too dangerous, y/n. You're not ready for this combat yet."
"So I head straight to the lair after my 9-5 job to do my training despite being in my 20s and busted my ass doing the training and you're benching me? What the fuck, Leo?" You were pissed. What's the point of training so hard if he's pushing you away from real combat?
"Guys, we have to go." Donnie called. Without further arguments, you ended up following them to their mission.
Part of you was excited but deep down, you were nervous. Perhaps Leo was right; maybe you weren't 100% ready and into the mission.
"You okay, angel?" Mikey interrupted your thoughts and nudged your knee. "It's alright, I'll protect you! Just stay behind my back and fight as many bad people as you can!"
Oh, that much you could do and it was easy bringing down human fighters. There were 30 of them against 5 of you. It was a piece of cake until-
Whatever these gang wanted to retrieve, it was important to them as they're willing to hold down 4 large turtles and cut their skin with their blades while you stood there with a grey suitcase in your hand, threatening to throw it into a pit of fire below you. Above you was a gap to the rooftop, a chance for you to escape with the suitcase to your reinforcements outside waiting for you; Casey.
You were about to escape until you see their leader taking out a shotgun that brings down large animals and you knew it was enough to kill the turtles with one shot. Their shells may be bulletproof but their physical bodies weren't.
"Give us the suitcase, little girl, or your mutant friend's head will explode in pieces." The gun pointed at Mikey's head and he exclaimed, trying to struggle his way out but there were more than 5 men holding him down.
"Run, y/n! Get out of here!" Raph shouted but all you heard was ringing in your ears. You froze. You started wheezing at the thought of your friends getting taken down by a shotgun.
You made a huge mistake.
You didn't remember a thing - as soon as your mind was clear, you were outside the now burnt down factory but the suitcase you thought you were holding was gone. Your fists formed into a ball and repeatedly hitting yourself.
Stupid, stupid, stupid!
The ride back to the lair was dead silent, even Mikey didn't look too happy. The truck abruptly stopped at an empty undercross bridge, away from the main lights and city. The turtles stepped outside and this was it; you knew they were furious at something- or rather, someone.
"What the heck were you thinking, y/n? You had that suitcase with you and you had that chance to escape to Casey." Leo started, calm on the outside but pissed on the inside. He towered over you as he speaks, "If you didn't play hero, this case would've been closed."
"Why the heck did you stay up there?" Raph's critic came after.
"Now the suitcase is gone. It was our only source to ever find these gangs. They're tougher than the foot clan." Donnie remained calm but his arms were crossed staring at you. "All evidence of them existing, just gone."
"y/n.." no, not Mikey too. "You could've ran and save yourself. We'd be totally okay."
"They were gonna shoot you, Mike. I can't--"
"Didn't I say you weren't ready for this? And what did you do then? Full-on kunoichi, you say? Not even close to our level," Leo went up to your face, scaring you for the first time. "You screwed up our plans all because you were too cocky to admit you can't be like us. Master Splinter was wrong about you being the addition to our team."
Strike one: to the heart.
"If you weren't stupid enough to freeze like a deer caught in headlights, the cops wouldn't look at us like we're a joke. Thanks to you, by the way." Raph scoffed, eyes glaring at your shaking figure.
Strike two.
"If only you had stayed behind." You couldn't believe your ears when Donnie mumbled that but you caught on, tears pooling down your cheeks.
Strike three.
Mikey stayed silent the whole time they criticized you and went inside the truck. The 4 of them got so caught up in their own feelings and disappointment, they drove off back to the lair not realizing they left you behind in the streets all by yourself.
Just like that - something in you snapped and as the last tear dropped to the wet ground, so does your body.
The beautiful April O'Neil entered the lair 5 days after the accident happened with Chinese food takeouts and Casey walking in behind her with boxes of pizzas. "Hey, guys! Food's here!" Casey called out and immediately all 4 turtles rushed towards their human friends. Mikey practically hogged two pizza boxes but Casey smacked his hand away. "Excuse you. Ladies first." He winked at April.
After the turtles thanked them, Leo broke the ice, "How's everything at the precinct, Case?"
"Actually, we got a lead on the gang's movement. We have our spy with them."
"That was quick." Donnie commented.
"Uh, have you heard from y/n lately?" Raph asked, causing tension in the air. While the turtles looked at each other guiltily, they failed to realize Casey and April sharing looks.
"Have you?" Donnie realized his human friends weren't answering. He turned to April this time. "April?"
"Wait-" Casey pulled April aside, far enough so the turtles don't hear them whispering, "We were instructed not to tell them, April. She said-"
"I know.. she said not to tell but--"
"Guys!" Raph's voice boomed the lair, flinching at how loud he was being. "Sorry but are you hiding something from us? Did something happen to y/n?"
All April could do right now was shaking her head, her facial expression gloomed.
Both April and Casey's phone dinged at the same time. Looking at each other curiously, they looked down their phones. Slowly, the message registered in their heads and without saying anything, they rushed out of the lair leaving the turtles bewildered.
The turtles haven't heard from April and Casey for 2 hours. Whatever the message they received, it was involving their 5th member; you.
Unable to sit still, the 4 of them followed Casey's GPS.
"Casey's at the PD?" Leo frowned. "Then there's nothing to worry about, right?" When Donnie didn't answer and looked as if he's concentrating on something, Leo caught on. "You hacked into Casey's phone and listening to the conversation?"
"What-- uhh yeah," Donnie chuckled guiltily. "But nothing's happening. He's just catching up with another case that's-- hey, it's April's voice!" Donnie put on a speaker for the rest to hear.
"Hey, how's everything going?" Casey asked her.
"It doesn't look good, Case.. They called me at 2am saying her heartbeat stopped from the toxins and managed to revive her back to life but then she had a seizure." April's voice trembled, followed by sniffing. "She was fine when we picked her up that night and told me the turtles were mad at her. They left her when she was dying, Case. I never thought--"
"It's okay."
"Wait, dying?" Mikey stepped back. "y/n's dying?"
"We don't know for sure it's y/n.. m-maybe it's--"
"y/n is a tough girl. She lasted long in that mission. I didn't even know she was stabbed and injured badly. She-- she's good at hiding her pain, April. At least we found her on time."
"T-They're talking about y/n!" Mikey was already sobbing.
"Toxins? Stabbed? Their blades were poisoned," Donnie barely whispered, stepping back in disbelief by what they just overhead. Raph was pacing in the background; Leo had his head down. They will always recall the night they criticize you - yes, they were disappointed they failed the mission but half of them feared for your life that night.
They nearly lost April to Shredder throwing her off Sacks building and they didn't want to repeat that mistake again but history repeats itself.
The PD had built a secret entry for the turtles' transportation to go through and that's where they're headed immediately after finding out what happened to you.
"Chief Vincent." The brothers walked into the PD, their tall forms towering over all the cops and staffs there. They were told to keep their existence a secrecy and they came over a lot for complicated missions so they're used to the turtles bursting into their department.
"Leonardo," Vincent greeted. "I don't remember calling you over about a case."
"We're not here for a case. We need your help with something." Leo started, then Donnie moved to the front handing her a canister with a blue chemical inside.
"This is for y/n.. we know what happened to her so I made an antidote for the toxin in her body. She'd feel more pain but this would detoxify her internal organs. She'll be in good shape after 1 week of bed rest." Donnie swallowed trying not to cry.
Don't cry, Don. Be strong.. for y/n.
"I will." Chief Vincent smiled in encouragement and put a hand on Donnie's large ones, "Don't worry. We have the best doctors to treat her. Keep her in your prayers," she flinched, "if you believe in those, though."
The antidote Donnie created worked, much to the doctors' surprise. They asked the genius behind the creation. After 1 painful week of your body detoxing, you finally opened your eyes to bright lights and the holter monitor annoying you. You finally recall the past events and your body shot up, forgetting the sharp pain on your lower abdomen. You hissed by the excruciating feeling.
"y/n, hey hey hey, it's me April." April held you back from moving so much. As if your reaction says it all, she sighed, "You got poisoned on your last mission. Did you remember?"
Oh yeah, you remember - when your body hit the ground, you were conscious for a while and pressed the emergency button to whoever's responding. The turtles didn't have their own personal phone, except Donnie's communication device, so it was April that came to the rescue. All you remember was being brought to the emergency room and doctors asking you questions. You blacked out after that.
"Yeah." you responded, voice half gone. April handed her water. "How long was I out?"
"15 days."
"Feels like centuries." You grumbled.
April laughed, "Actually, you died like twice and the hospital couldn't find other solutions to help you. Luckily, our friend created an antidote for you after they found out." You frowned. "I know you said not to tell them but Donnie hacked Casey's phone when they overheard me talking. He actually thought I didn't know." She winked at the end.
You finally got discharged and went straight to the Chief Vincent, who helped with your treatment.
"Chief, I'm sorry I screwed up on our last mission. Don't blame the turtles; they were trapped and I was the one holding the suitcase that night. I should've ran and hand it to you."
"Well, sometimes things don't go our way. But the good news, our medical team managed to track down the poison that came from your body and traced it to a well-known dealer in (F/C/N). Thanks to you, our team is already there apprehending them." She put a hand on your shoulder. "Good job, l/n."
"Good job but at the cost of my life." You grumbled.
April chuckled and put her arms around you. "Wanna see our turtle friends? They've been waiting for your return."
It felt like years since you last walked into the lair, when it's only been 15 days. Even though you missed the turtles, you were anxious. If they weren't so concerned about looking good infront of the humans and paid attention to your injury, none of this would have happened.
But you were at fault too and you accepted that.
"Guys!! Guess who's home!" April yelled out, surprising you a bit cause you were deep in your thoughts.
You heard loud footsteps running towards you and without warning, Mikey landed infront of you making you scream in surprise.
"Whoa whoa whoa! Chill, it's me Mikey! We're cool!" he stepped back after seeing your terrified expression.
The rest huddled up infront of you asking questions here and there until April pushed them away. "Guys, she just got discharged; go back a bit. And no Mikey, she did not see Rihanna at the hospital."
You waved meekly. "Hey, guys."
Raph couldn't help himself and hauled you up in a gentle hug, his chin over your shoulder. "You dumbass. Don't you ever do that again." He forgets about his dignity and sobbed after finally hugging you. Feeling your flesh against his. You were alive. You're in his arms.
Donnie came next and hugged you gently, your arms around his neck. Of course, you didn't miss him sniffing. "Thank goodness the antidote worked. I-I was desperate to make it for you a-and if it didn't work, y-y-y--"
"Okay, braniac." You pulled away laughing, wiping his overflowing tears from his cheek. "It worked and it was hell for me but my body is healthy, thanks to you." You kissed his forehead.
"And you--" you turned around to see Mikey waiting for his hug and you jumped into his arms. "If I die, who's going to finish our hip hop Christmas album?"
"I'm not finishing it without you, angel." Mikey sobbed.
Then finally, Leo. Man, he was getting antsy waiting for his turn to properly welcome you home. And apologize to you earnestly. When you turned around to hug Leo, he was bowing 90 degrees at you. Your eyes widened.
"I'm sorry for what I said to you," Leo remained still in his position. "I was angry and blinded by my pride that I overlooked my own team member and sister who was injured badly to the brink of death. For that, I'm truly sorry and I'm willing to accept any punishment you're giving me."
"Any punishment, you say?"
"Yes." His fists shaped into a ball.
"Buy me Baskin Robbins, choco mint flavoured and--" Leo looked up when you paused and thought he'd be seeing you angry or upset but instead sees you forming tears in your eyes, "--a hug from you. I haven't gotten a hug from you ever since I started my training."
Leo reacted and hugged you so tight you might suffocate to death but you didn't care.

whats ur opinion on dean elliot's scores for chuck jones's MGM shorts and the dr. seuss specials depatie-freleng made? i feel like he's an underrated composer and he needs more attention JUST how radically different his work was from eugene podanny (but still has charm)
IF NOTHING ELSE, his work is VERY amusing to me LOL. i actually haven't really paid attention to the Poddany scores that much to really fully differentiate between him and Elliot (Eugene Poddany is still the "he scored The Wearing of the Grin for some reason!" guy to me, i have a lot of revisiting to do in regards to Jones' T&J shorts).
i'm not really gung-ho on his music on the regular, but i am certainly fascinated by it. i always associate him with very '70s sounding choruses (which i am a bit nostalgic for, we'd watch Seuss on the Loose every year in elementary school for Dr. Seuss week and so songs like this and the flavor profile within are very nostalgic to me LOL) and i wholly admire the campiness for that reason. this is what i think of when i think of Dean Elliot, songs that sound like they play as radio jingles for Casey Kasem
youtube
AND, i will give him further credit, the only thing i can remember from A Connecticut Rabbit in King Arthur's Court besides the baffling decision to have Porky read a newspaper for about a minute straight--which is even excessive for me and i do not say that lightly--is the wah-wah guitars and disco-adjacent music stylings for... a 6th century jousting fight?
youtube
i'm moreso fascinated by his work than actually a fan/like it, but i genuinely admire the campiness
(ALSO if you’re on mobile and the timestamps don’t work, it’s 0:50 and 17:25 respectively)
