Hello World
How was it possible for such a G R E A T show to be so underrated? if it weren't for Antony Starr being on The Boys I never would have heard of it!
The premise alone is so fun and unique, an ex con passing off as a sheriff, dealing with criminals, corruption and his own criminal ambitions and getting caught up in the middle of all the people he met along the way.
When the secret becomes so heavy and the lies pile up the line between who he really is and the role he took on became blurry.
A well written tv show jam packed with great action scenes, great character development, different relationships whether it's family, friends, lovers....
what's there not to like?
so, to at least have one place for all of us fans to regroup, access most content made about this show and overall meet other fellow fans to discuss the show with I have made this account
it will mainly be reblogging posts made by older fans with tags, sharing videos, and maybe trying my hand at writing some fanfiction.

not to be political but I've seen a lot of people saying that those who call Israel an apartheid don't know what they're talking about and um. As someone who has studied South African apartheid as well as grown up in a Jewish community. This claim has more merit than you think
#this post is brought to you by an article i read “debunking” the claim that israel is an apartheid and their “evidence”#included several policies that are the same if not more intense than apartheid era policies against black south africans#there are comparisons that hold weight here#although one thing i dont get and havent had explained to me yet. it looks to me as though both arabs and jews are indigenous to the region#in the way that both the hopewell culture and lenape people are indigenous to my state of pennsylvania#and thats a flimsy comparison i suppose since the hopewell culture (who lived here first chronologically) has died out#but anyway theres a case for indigeneity for both jews and arabs#its so silly to me that we dont consider both to be indigenous? yes many jews that came into israel in the early 20th century were#white europeans and carried the colonial baggage of that with them#but idk why its so hard to believe that an oppressed group can also be an oppressor?? like where's the intersectionality babes#anyway. the original point of this post was that maybe more of yall need to look into what south african apartheid was actually like#much like h*m*s leadership a lot of the ANC leadership was forced into exile and had to live and work outside of their country#(and this comparison is not perfect im aware. the tactics of the anc and h*m*s are totally different. however i think this comparison has#weight in that they are both one of the biggest names in opposition to the government. they do this in different ways at different levels o#intensity and violence. that is not to be ignored. but there are some comparisons that we can make and exile doesnt strike me as a bad one)#the bantustans in south africa were also constructed in a way that much like the west bank makes it highly difficult for an actual real#state to form#and the way that theyre set up invites puppet governments and corruption. this gives a major advantage to the apartheid state#id recommend reading Trevor Noah's Born A Crime if you havent#its a great introduction to what daily life in aparthid and after was like (its a memoir from about 1990-2005ish)#(apartheid was legally ended in 1994 but there are still remnants of it today and there were even more at the time of Born a Crime)#anyway these are my political thoughts of the day#edit: to my tangent about both groups being able to have some sort of claim to indigeneity. that in no way justifies any of the brutality#going on#i think its espeically cringe of israel to claim indigeneity and a sacred relationship with the land then create an environmental#catastrophe like they have in gaza. making the land unliveable is a bit of a perversion of the relationship you have with that land innit#in case it wasnt clear: ceasefire now and free palestine

Part 3: The Death, Rebirth, and Afterlife of Parasite Alice
The Riverside Clinic for Wellness and Long-term Care weathered safely the storms of the burn just as all the worst memories navigate the mindscape unimpeded. The venerable history of the red brick and white trimmed building carried it through the poor and homeless left in squalor to the airy chill of lobotomy and electroshock therapy, two wings wide and three floors tall. Its height well serviced its intent, too short for escape even via a yearning leap from the roof to its concrete driveway.
The persistance of such single-minded enclosure of the divergent mind carried forward to the interior, with mutiply sectioned floors along each wing navigable only through a network of stairwells. A more modern elevator spired through the center of the building, lever operated and gated by iron on all sides. None of the layers of white tile or muted gray carpet or soothing art prints or geometic wall paintings over the years could fully excise the prison lovingly built into the architecture. Inside, it promised no escape. Outside its dignified facade offered warm reassurance that aging loved ones to difficult children and everyone in between would be safely forgotten.
Some part of Alice understood all this as the square black truck complained about stopping at the brick stairs with their awkwardly late addition of a wheel chair accessible ramp, leading to wide white doors set with large windows blocked by gauzy white curtains. The driver helped her out of the car and she said, "I can do it just fine!" before almost falling as her legs wobbled. She didn't like strangers touching her, but now everyone was a stranger and she leaned on a stranger just for the simple task of reaching the door of the building where she will die of cancer.
The doors swung inward to reveal an average man with a surfeit of dignity to his gray peppered mustache and deep, dark eyes beneath a noble high forehead and a gently swept back head of mostly gray hair. His thick belly preceded his wide shoulders into any room, and his hands were noticeably large with thick fingers, moving quickly and nimbly to pull a wheelchair onto the small porch. He wore checked trousers, a pale yellow golf shirt, and his arms were exceptionally hairy.
"So good to meet you," he let one hand overtake his stomach to greet Alice, which she disregarded. "My name is Dr Hopewell, and I'm the administrator here at Riverside. I've heard quite a bit about you, and I wanted to make you comfortable right away. You're quite the special guest!" He smiled away the dignity of his profile.
"I don't need a wheelchair," she said. The driver shrugged and let her go, forcing her to grab to armrests to keep standing. "I'm just tired." She gave daggers out of her eyes to both men before maneuvering herself into the seat. "Don't get used to this."
The driver passed a clipboard over her head. "You gotta sign for the delivery, also initial there... and there. Sign and date there too. Okay, nice knowing you."
Dr. Hopewell was already turning her and rolling her into the building before the driver started the truck. "Don't worry Alice, we'll make sure you have the best of care here. You're a celebrity after all, but there may be a few bumps ahead!" They wheeled past a heavy wood door and a much larger orderly took over, pushing her down the hall then bumping up a flight of stairs.
"We specialize these days in unique individuals like yourself. I understand you won't persue treatment?" She folded her arms and rolled her eyes. "Well, if you change your mind, we can be ready to start immediately." The chair and orderly bumped back down stairs into another long hallway. "But here is your room, and we've put you with someone you should get along with. She's very unique."
The room was small, two beds with a curtain divider, wall mounted TV sets, a closet bathroom, one tall window and a few small sets of sad artificial wood drawers.
Another woman sat in a rolling tube frame chair in the far corner of the room. She was big and soft and still in pajamas, her belly stuck out a bit from under the top, and her sloping shoulders seemed to be a permanent fixture of her slouch while the sweeping curve of her neck to her chin echoed in her faint jawline. Her nose was long and straight and Alice thought it was very fine with her dark black eyes looking a thousand miles away and her arrow straight glossy black hair hanging behind the chair. Alice wondered what it would be like to hold her hand. Would she squeeze hard or gently? Interlaced or fingers to thumb.
She about the woman's hands and lips and eyes enought, it took her longer than it should have to realize the other woman was also shimmering with the golden glow of the burn.

I was gonna post this tomorrow but I couldn't wait. You may have noticed after the previous episode that Jayce was carrying his wife over the threshold of a brand new crib (who dis?). A move was inevitable and Darren (of course) called it first.
... that wasn't a question. Anyway, while we're staying tuned, we will get a house tour at some point this weekend. Here's where we are:
Jay and Hope moved out of Anchorpoint Townhomes which was their first place together after Hope graduated from college. Tragedy struck on the pier right next door and the trauma of that day will forever be associated with that location specifically. They decided instead of moving out of San Seq, they'd move to the quiet suburbs of Hopewell Hills (get it? Hope.... well? How did EA know?). Hope gets to keep her ocean views but with no pier in sight and Jay is happy they can spend time outside or enjoying the view without the constant reminder of trauma.
We love new beginnings for the newest residents of Eucalyptus Lane!

FAMILY MATTERS IN THE SIMS 4 GROWING TOGETHER EXPANSION PACK Baby proof your house, The Sims 4 frees the infants
Family tales are those beloved stories and memories you pass on to future generations. Some stories can fill our hearts. Some stories are teachable moments that can leave you with a house full of drama. No matter the scenario, a strong family bond can provide you with the support needed to make it through life’s toughest moments.
In The Sims™ 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack, players will have the opportunity to explore that familial bond through various Sim dynamics, watching as their Sims grow up–beginning at a new infant life stage–and grow old and hitting new precious milestones within their families.
Pull up a chair, have we got a story for you!
SAN SEQUOIA, THE BAYFRONT TOWN OF THE SIMS 4
Hello neighbors. Welcome to the picturesque world of San Sequoia! This coastal region is located along a beautiful ocean bay, perfect for families and packed with a ton of outdoor open space for family gatherings and for children to play. Sims can explore three neighborhoods in San Sequoia: Anchorpoint Wharf, Gilbert Gardens and a relaxed residential locale, Hopewell Hills, which has a slower pace that seamlessly mixes elements of modern and traditional craftsman-style homes. We certainly love the beautiful and elegant design of a craftsman-style home!
With so much to do, your Sims’ family will have the perfect outing at the Urban Park where they can walk in a group, learn to ride a bicycle, jog or even hike on a nature path along the Gilbert Garden's lake. Your Sim can enjoy the views, play on a playground, take it slow and go fishing with the grandparents, watch a movie at the wharf's refurbished theater, grab a bite to eat along the pier, visit the library filled with children’s books, or even splish and splash at Whalebert's public splash pad play area.
INFANTS, INFANTS, INFANTS
We’ve heard and seen all of your requests for new infants, and we are elated to deliver on this new life stage that will offer true cross-generational gameplay. In this free base game update, you will have the chance to create and modify infants in CAS with the opportunity to show off a wide range of clothing, accessories and hairstyles, adopt an infant, age up from a newborn to an infant to a toddler, change an infant’s diaper, give the infant a nap, put the infant to sleep and more! Infants will also have the ability to express needs, emotions and sentiments. Caring for an infant is intense, and just like real life, there's little time or energy for your Sim’s own needs!
Adding more depth and gameplay to the lifestage, among other life stages including toddler and children, The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack will add more choice and opportunity for your growing Sims by bringing up a Sim through new infant milestones. These milestones both highlight the way your Sims are growing up, as well as gain new abilities that open up the world around them for social interaction and exploration. Caregivers will have new ways of playing and caring for their infants with the Changing Station and Infant Playmat, as well as being able to carry them on their backs out into our family-friendly urban world. So let’s celebrate our new infants with a baby shower event!
We are also adding 18 discoverable Infant Quirks that change an infant’s behavior. With three Quirks per infant, each infant is bound to be unique! Some quirks include: Self-soother, Early Rise, Messy Eater, Frequently Hiccups, Gassy, Good Appetite, Snuggly Sleeper, Happy Spitter, Free-Air Tinkler and more.
You can learn more about Infants, the brand new age coming to all players in The Sims 4 base game update, as well as how the Growing Together Expansion Pack adds even more that will fundamentally change the way you'll play with Infants on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11am PDT on Twitch and YouTube.
MORE FAMILY INTERACTIONS
There are plenty of new ways to interact with all the members of your family and lots of new content for different age groups. Most Sim Elders enjoy a good power walk around the park, a puzzle at the Recreation Center, or their role as caretaker of the family Keepsake Box. They're the best at Giving Life Lessons, Reminiscing on Good Times, and sneaking treats. Sometimes they even have a favorite grandchild! Speaking of grandchildren...
Toddlers are getting quite the update in this pack. As with Infants, we are adding 18 discoverable Toddler Quirks that change a Toddler’s behavior. These are discovered over time and make each Toddler unique, beyond their traits! Some examples include: Aggressive, Picky Eater, Early Riser, Little Singer, Good Appetite, Loves Water, Hates Bedtime, Loves being Carried and more.
Children also are getting a lot of attention! For the first time, Children have received four new Aspirations: Slumber Party Animal, Mind and Body, Playtime Captain and Creative Genius. With all the new content for kids in this pack (the Treehouse, Splash Pad, Bike, Sleeping Bag, Slumber Parties, Friendship Bracelets, and more) there's plenty to aspire towards. Just make sure to keep their confidence high! Or don't, but we know you'd never hurt a child's confidence. Right. Riiight? Because just like lost teeth, Childhood Confidence is also an aspect of growing up that every Child Sim faces in this pack!
GROWTH IN MILESTONES
Through Sims’ experiences and relationships, players will begin to encounter Milestones, which will provide a way of showing players their Sims’ current growth, as well as their lifelong touchstones that continue to impact them as they age. These include overcoming a career obstacle, getting let go from a job, having a midlife crisis, having the family move in and so much more.
Bringing up new Sims will be filled with new Infant Milestones that highlight the ways in which your Sims grow up and provide a guide for players through the new infancy gameplay - making each Milestone feel like a brand new and exciting experience every time.
FAMILY DYNAMICS
Our Growing Together Expansion Pack also includes a new social compatibility feature, which introduces new ways of socializing that will feel different with each Sim, leading to deeper, more meaningful relationships with family and friends. Maybe specific family members are jokesters together or maybe they are competitive. Your Sims’ family tree will now reflect more complex family relationships.
Your Sim will now have preferences that determine who they are socially compatible with and who are their sworn enemies! As your Sim experiences life, there will be opportunities for both drama and unity that will ultimately affect family dynamics and your Sims’ relationships.
If you purchase the Growing Together Expansion Pack anytime from February 2 - April 27, you’ll have access to our Outdoor Playtime Digital Content, where you can help your parent or child Sims have fun and active lives with a swing set, toddler slide and infant carrier.

Answer below!
A. Secret third option - both of them!

Sims 4 Livestream
Hello, Fellow Simmers!!
(From Tumblr and YouTube!)
Here is a summary of the livestream of “The Sims 4 Infant Update & Growing Together Livestream” That is 2:34:53 in length. I thought I’d summarise it for people that don’t have time to watch it and some of my opinions!
I did watch the new Infant & Growing Together livestream with SimGuruMorgan, Scott & Nova (I think that’s them? Nova for me is confirmed, please correct me if I’m wrong)
(Edit from rewatching LS : SimGuru’s Frost, Graham, Morgan, Scott, Nova, Lakshmi : I missed this because I was late to the livestream last night because I did know it was going to happen but I never knew what time so I came in when they were messing around in CAS.)

"They're great civil engineers. They're artists, they're astronomers, mathematicians, and for my people, that's not the way that Shawnee people, or any Indigenous peoples in this country, are typically portrayed in media." Chief Ben Barnes of the Shawnee Tribe
Tana Weingartner for NPR: "Ohio's Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks are about to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site"
"Of just over a thousand [Heritage] sites worldwide deemed of universal importance and value to humankind, there are only 24 in the United States that carry that distinction."
Outside the Great Circle at Newark (with visitor for scale, to the left in the distance). The Circle’s earthen berm stands anywhere from around 6 feet, to 14 feet high. Jake Wood
"Now, after more than a decade of work and planning, ancient earthworks in Ohio are poised to join them...
The Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks encompass eight sites — a collection of historic earthen mounds built by Indigenous peoples:
Fort Ancient Earthworks and Nature Preserve
Hopewell Culture National Historical Park (five geographically separate elements)
Mound City Group
Hopewell Mound Group
Seip Earthworks
High Bank Earthworks
Hopeton Earthworks
Newark Earthworks
All the sites were built 1,600 to 2,000 years ago by peoples formerly referred to as Hopewell...
It might be unusual to consider huge mounds of dirt as anything significant, however, UNESCO calls the earthworks a 'masterpiece of human creative genius.' That's one of the criteria for inclusion on the World Heritage List. Another calls for bearing "exceptional testimony to a cultural tradition or to a civilization which is living or which has disappeared."
The design and construction of the Earthworks show the people during this early era had a clear understanding of geometry, architecture, and solar and lunar alignments and multi-year cycles."
Full story with audio from Weekend Edition Saturday.
In my various travels, I've visited some of these; more information on some of those astronomical alignments is on available on Jake Rambles n'at, including diagrams on satellite views ('cause I do that):

“Term of Two Years For Store Robber,” Ottawa Journal. February 8, 1930. Page 3. ---- Oscar Renaud Sentenced For Jewelry Theft on Bank Street. ---- Less than 48 hours after the jewelry store of Patrick D'Arey, 193 Bank street, had been broken into late Thursday night and articles valued at some $600 stolen, Oscar Renaud, 40, of no fixed abode appeared in Police Court on the charge this morning, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to two years in Kingston Penitentiary by Magistrate Charles Hopewell. Police have recovered practically all of the stolen jewelry. (See also Page 15)
“Almost All Jewelry Taken From Store s Nów Recovered,” Ottawa Journal. February 8, 1930. Page 15. ---- Police Arrest Oscar Renaud, 40, Within 24 Hours Following D'Arcy Robbery. ---- The arrest of the alleged shopbreaker and the almost complete recovery of jewelry valued at $600 were accomplished by Ottawa detectives within 24 hours after the robbery of the jewelry store of Patrick D'Arey, 193 Bank street, which occurred early Thursday night.
Oscar Renaud, 40 years of age, and of no address was placed in custody by Detectives Aubrey MacDonald and J. P. Downey yesterday afternoon in a Hull hotel as the result of investigations carried on since the break-in was discovered shortly after 9 pm. Thursday. When he was arrested, police declare three brooches, two rings and other articles were found in his possession. These were later identified, they say, by Mr. D'Arcy.
Assists Police. After repeated questioning by police, Renaud agreed to assist the officers in the recovery of the balance of the loot and last night he accompanied Detectives Downey and Thomas Cullum to a Rochester street store where, police state, the greater part of the jewelry, consisting of 76 rings and other articles were found.
Mr. D'Arcy formed one of the party which went to the Rochester street address and he made positive identification of the merchandise. It tallied in every way with his description of the stolen articles which he gave to police shortly after the robbery.
The burglary was one of the most daring carried out in Ottawa in some time. From 1.30 o'clock to nine o'clock Thursday evening while hundreds passed the D'Arcy store the shopbreaker forced the rear door, effected an entrance, stripped the show windows of their contents of jewelry and made his departure without anyone being aware of what was happening.
Police say that during Thursday afternoon Renaud went to the D'Arcy store to make a purchase and it was during that time that he obtained a layout of the building and formulated a plan of robbery.
[AL: Renaud was actually 43, from Aylmer, Quebec, covered in scars with a large cross tattoo on his right forearm, and with a poor grasp of English. A habitual criminal, he had a long rap sheet going back to the very early 20th century, including two terms at Toronto’s Central Prison, two terms at St. Vincent de Paul Penitentiary, a term at Guelph Reformatory and a term at Burwash Industrial Farm, and a previous stint at Kingston Penitentiary as #E-971. His half brother Onesmine was also at KP in this period. Renaud worked in the stone shop as convict as #1597. He was released October 1931.]
