After being physically overwhelmed by Wells for the better part of two rounds, Harris catches Wells with a choke attempt along the cage. Locks up the anaconda as Wells is trying to shoot in. Wells tries to defend but them long arms allow Harris to choke Wells out for the win. Nice come from behind win for Harris.

I'm kind hating everyone in this fandom that has the courage to defend that book and some of the characters, and I dont want this to happen. I used to just have my own opinions and dont care for ppl who thought differently, but now Im experiencing some wild (and unhelthy) feeling and I blame SJM for that! I desperately need a book to make me forget acotar serie existed

I get how you feel. Normally, I subscribe to the Oscar Wilde school of thought on books and morality--it is not the author's job to teach you right from wrong, and books aren't good or bad, they are well or poorly written. However, SJM's themes are repetitive enough that it is obvious this is what she thinks a loving relationship is. A guy who stands at the top of the stairs mocking his love interest for falling down.

I don't hate on anyone for liking "problematic" content. You can like whatever you like, and you don't owe me or anyone else an explanation. I like The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Lord knows that is neither morally upstanding nor is it good writing. But I still like them!

What is upsetting to me, however, is the fact that SJM keeps touting this as a healthy recovery arc, and we're clearly supposed to praise Nesta for altering her bone structure instead of Cassian just...getting a vasectomy, we're supposed to be angry at her for giving Feyre autonomy over her own body instead of being angry with Rhys and Madja for ever taking it away in the first place, etc.

What is more distressing to me is just how much people are buying into it.

And yeah, it, like TVD, is not only morally bereft, it is badly written. And there's no Joseph Morgan or Phoebe Tonkin for me to stare at.

I actually enjoy analyzing books, but I also think it's time to find something else to project myself onto. Like with Harry Potter. Just...time to find a better book.

Here are some series I really loved growing up or recently! I would love recommendations for new ones!

1. The Mediator series, Meg Cabot - 16 year old Suze Simon moves from NY to California with her mother to live with her new step-family. When she gets to her bedroom, there's already someone there--a ghost, Jesse de Silva, who died in this house 150 years ago. Luckily, Suze has been dealing with ghosts her whole life, so she knows what to do.

2. His Fair Assassin trilogy, Robin LaFevers - Ismae, Sybella, and Annith are all students at the convent of St. Mortain in fifteenth century Brittany, serving their father, Death. Under the guidance of the god and convent, they fight to protect their duchess and country from the French.

3. Vampire Academy series, Richelle Mead - Rose Hathaway, a half vampire, is tasked with guarding her best friend, full vampire, Lissa Dragomir. They are found out while on the run by Dimitri Belikov, who brings them back to school on the queen's orders.

4. Six of Crows duology, Leigh Bardugo - Criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker recruits five gang members and criminals to break into an impenetrable fortress to stop a dangerous magical drug from hitting the global markets and, more importantly, earn 30 million in cash.

5. Chemical Garden trilogy, Lauren deStefano - After curing all forms of cancer, a new sickness plagues the world: women die at 20 and men at 25. Teenage girls are trafficked in an effort to forcibly repopulate the earth. Rhine Ellery is abducted and married off to a wealthy scientist's son, but she will stop at nothing to find her way back to her twin brother, Rowan.

6. Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, Laini Taylor - Karou, a seventeen year old artist, travels the world gathering teeth for her demon foster family. When the magical doors that allow her to visit Elsewhere are closed, she finds Akiva, an angel, and gets sucked into the war between the two races.

7. Lady Helen series, Alison Goodman - As Lady Helen is being presented to Queen Charlotte, a maid goes missing from her household and her close friend is attacked by something otherworldly. A pariah with means to ruin her already shaky reputation, Lord Carlston, approaches her and recruits her into the belly of the underground, the Dark Days Club, charged with protecting England from demons.

Shavkat Rakhmonov demolishes Carlston Harris inside of  a round!

Rakhmonov is as blue chip as a prospect as any man at 170lbs. Just in here destroying experienced competition with very little effort. Man just has an amazing understanding of distance and amazing shot selection. Add in an amazing clinch wrestling game and dude is a legit threat for gold. Landed a beautiful spinning hook hook that put Harris down before dropping some serious GnP to end it. Not to mention the amazing hip toss he landed when Harris was trying to clinch along the fence.

Get Rakhmonov a top ten opponent.
