"But I'm their same age/younger" the game has heavy sexual undertones. Either they get a special, more pg-safe route and tamer cards, or just don't. Sexualising kids isn't okay even as a kid yourself, if someone is telling you otherwise please get away from them and seek a safe space.

"It's all fictional anyway" one thing is a fictional enviroment that shapes the characters and the situations and acts as a "shock" factor for the player; a different thing is projecting attraction towards someone who is presented as a kid, with a childish personality as well.

"But they're 18" yeah, and that's barely legal age. If it wouldn't be okay at 17, one year doesn't make that much of a difference.

Also, I'm adding an anedoctal experience that makes me skeptical over the "18 years old" label whenever I see it: in another game, a character had been released as a 14 years old; however, after people had started being creepy about her, her age changed to 18, even though her appearance stayed the same (and yes, there are screenshots around proving this age change). On top of that, all characters released later have been labeled as 18 at least, even though they appeared MUCH younger. (Look up Dislyte, and the character Chang Pu, if you're unfamiliar with the case and want to know more. Don't believe me on the "young characters were labeled 18 ever since then" bit? Look up the Fatum Sisters, same game, and tell me they don't look 12, 14 at best.)

So, seeing that, after months of people thirsting over the twins since their introduction, they have now been conveniently confirmed to be 18... a little suspicious, in my opinion. Everything about them feels like they were supposed to be 16-17 in the current story, but the devs didn't want their fanbase to get a bad reputation (which would have also tainted the game reputation) and aged the boys up.

•he’s pretty smart. he doesn’t like to apply himself a lot of the time but if you need help with homework he is very helpful. if he wanted to he could probably go to a pretty decent college. but he’d rather stay back and satisfy his blood lust and keep going home to you

•while he is willing to go out and socialize he is much more of a home body. if you like to stay in your room and watch movies all day then billy is your perfect match. he doesn’t like people much so he’d rather relax in his room

Request: Hi! Could you write something about Stucky coming home after a mission to find their girl crying on the couch, late at night. They are worried, initially, but relax after she shows them a video on her phone of a cute dog or puppy? - anonymous

Summary: After one long and tiresome mission, Steve and Bucky want nothing more than to go home and cuddle up with their girl.

Steve and Bucky laboured up the stairs towards their apartment, their shoulders brushing. Every single muscle ached and Steve couldn’t bite back a groan each time he was forced to put pressure on his left foot. 

They didn't say much, they were too tired for conversation. They just wanted to get home, change out of their gear and then crawl into bed with their girl.

As both men reached their door, Bucky all but collapsed against the wall as Steve fumbled with the key, lazily dragging it across the wood till it slipped snugly into the lock.

Bucky's eyes were closed but a tired smile tugged at his lips at the thought of you waiting for them on the other side of the door. He wanted to hold you so bad. To just gather you up in his arms and fall asleep with your hand gently running through his hair until the latest mission was nothing more than a distant memory.

He titled his head lazily and glanced at Steve. The blonde's expression told him he felt the same way.

As the door opened, both soldiers almost tripped over each other's feet as they hurried inside, Steve softly closing the door behind them. Bucky sighed dramatically as he was surrounded by the comforts of home, earning him a half-hearted glare from Steve.

“Quiet down, Buck. It's late.” He reminded him. “She's probably asleep.”

Bucky nodded, scratching at his beard as he followed Steve into the living room. The television was still playing lowly in the background and the boys glanced at each other questioningly. Soft smiles replaced their confused expressions when their eyes landed on the couch. Amidst the darkened room and the heaps of blankets and pillows, they could barely make out your form.

Bucky wasted no time in stepping towards you with Steve hot on his heel. God how they'd missed you.

“Hey, doll.” Bucky hummed gently. “Hope you don't mind that we made it home a little earlier than expected.”

The playfulness in his tone died out immediately as he neared you. The light illuminating from the television proved to be just enough for Bucky to make out your tear-stained cheeks and his heart almost stopped.

“Doll, what happened?” He immediately rushed to your side, hand hovering over your back as he looked you over for any sign of injury. Steve leapt forward at Bucky’s worried tone and joined you both on the couch. You frantically wiped at your eyes, trying to hide your tears as both men seated themselves on either side of you.

“Stevie, Buck-”

“It's alright, Sweetheart. We're here.” Steve comforted gently, arm wrapping around your waist as he carefully guided you into his side. “What's wrong?”

You breathed out a quiet laugh as you wiped away the last of your tears. Both Steve and Bucky were staring at you intently.

“I just missed you both,” you mumbled and you heard the boys breathe a sigh of relief. Bucky moved closer and gingerly kissed your head as Steve held you.

“We missed you too, Baby.” His hand comfortingly ran down your back, his nose grazing your jaw.

Steve placed his own kiss against your cheek and you smiled. You were sandwiched between them both, exactly where you wanted to be.

“You want to tell us what's got you so upset?” Steve urged gently, raising his eyebrows and smiling softly. The same way he always did when either you or Bucky were having a bad day.

You shook your head and waved your hand dismissively. “It's stupid, Steve. Besides, I'm fine now, it doesn't matter.”

“Hey now, don't talk like that. If it's upset you then it's not stupid. Not to us.” Steve's tone was soft and encouraging.

“Steve, I promise, I'm okay.”

Before Steve could pry any further, Bucky cut in, gently nudging you in the side.

“This wouldn't be the reason for those tears, now would it, doll?” He held up your phone for you all to see, the screen still paused on the video you'd been watching before they'd gotten home. Bucky seemed slightly amused but Steve was still staring at the screen in curiosity, confused as to what about such a wholesome video had made you so upset.

You snatched the phone from Bucky's hand and he let you. Any other day he probably would have held said phone just out of your reach, forcing you to stand on your tiptoes or press up against his chest to retrieve it. But he knew better. Now wasn't the time. Not to mention that if he did Steve would probably make him sleep on the couch as punishment.

You held the phone in your hand and refused to meet either of their gazes but Bucky was quick to snap you out of it.

“Y/N, you know you can talk to us. However simple or stupid you may think whatever's upsetting you is, you know we're here to listen.”

“Always.” Steve agreed.

You grumbled before giving in. You knew neither of them were going to leave you alone until they were sure you were okay.

“I've just been feeling down since you guys left for the mission last week.” You confessed and both men glanced at you sympathetically. “I missed you both, tonight especially. So I tried to watch some cute videos to cheer myself up and-” you glared at the adorable shepherd puppies currently gracing the phone screen. “It didn't help.”

“Sweetheart,” Steve started gently once you'd finished. “We told you to call if you needed us. Even just to talk or fall asleep with us on screen.”

“I didn't want to bother you when you were on a mission.” You admitted sheepishly and both men chuckled slightly at your words.

“Mission or not, it doesn't matter. You're our priority. Always.”

Steve released you slightly from his hold so that Bucky could pull you into him. You sighed against his shoulder. The horrid feeling that had settled in your stomach the moment both Steve and Bucky had walked out the door a little over a week ago was already dissipating. This was exactly what you needed. They were exactly what you needed.

“Why don't we take this to the bedroom?” Bucky suggested as he noticed your head contently lulling against his shoulder. He scoffed as both you and Steve turned to him with an expression that asked ‘really?’

“I meant to sleep.” He clarified and Steve couldn't help but chuckle.

“Sure you did, Punk.”

Bucky opened his mouth to respond but you ended the argument before it could start with a quiet, “Sleep sounds like a good idea.” You threw in a yawn for good measure.

Bucky wordlessly nodded to Steve and they smiled. Bucky readjusted his hold on you as he lifted you from the couch and into his arms.

Steve switched off the television and assured the house was locked down for the night as Bucky carried you to the bedroom. He gingerly placed you down before stripping and clambering in next to you, his aching body almost sinking right into the mattress.

A cool mental hand settled on your waist as you rested your head on his chest. Steve wandered into the bedroom a few minutes later, smiling softly at the sight of you and Bucky curled up and already dozing off.

He kicked off his boots and pants and pulled his shirt off over his head. Sliding in behind you, he slid an arm over you, resting it just over Bucky's stomach. You were perfectly encased in-between them both.

“Steve, Bucky?” You mumbled their names quietly just as they were on the brink of sleep.

“Yeah, Sweetheart?” Steve rasped and Bucky hummed against your temple.

“Can we get a dog?”

You could feel the chuckle that shook Bucky's chest at your request and Steve cracked a tired smile, shuffling closer to you.

“Think about it, that way when you two are off saving the world I won't be so lonely here on my own.” You rambled on drowsily.

“She makes a compelling case, Stevie,” Bucky smirked, cracking open an eye to glance over at the blonde. He couldn't keep the amusement from seeping into his tone.

“We'll talk about it in the morning, Baby. Just get some rest for now.” Steve yawned, nuzzling into the crook of your neck to silently put an end to the conversation.

“That's a yes.” Bucky clarified and Steve harmlessly jabbed Bucky in the gut, electing a fond chuckle. You smiled, just glad to have your boys home.

Makes sure you regularly drain your drains, take your medication.

You dont even have to get the fuck up, I mean he's your personal butler until the doctor gave you the okay.

Three times a day you get a smoothie. He can tell that you dont want to eat because of the pain.

The least you can do is drink something to nurioush you while you were in pain.

If you're embarrassed about having to sleep on some dog pee pads for the drain. Dont be.

Wilbur may not understand but he will constantly comfort you. He'll even make a video to tell his viewers he won't be posting for a moment. A personal issues came up and that is all they know for now.

Also when cold he'll try to keep you warm by very, very gentle cuddles. But any sign of pain and he's off of you and getting you warm blankets and heating packs.

His sweaters? Now all yours. You have no say. He will give you one every day knowing you find alot of comfort in wearing his clothes.

The last thing he wants is you in pain. Especially if it was caused by him.

Your testosterone shot? Dont worry he's got it for you.

He doesn't want you to get up unless you needed to go to the restroom or you were itching to get up.

If you dont take it slow he will threaten you.

This is a threat. He will make you sit back down if you tried to get up and clean.

Technoblade may not know what to do but he will try.

He's quite nervous but when he realized you havent eaten and needed something in your system for your pain meds hell make you something soft and light on the stomach.

Are you cold? He'll cover you in a blanket and just sit next to you. Floof senses you in pain and cuddles you more then technoblade.

Techno was a bit butt hurt but knew that you needed alot of support right now.

With his height his clothes are either tight or loose. But his hoodies are always huge. And very fucking comfortable.

His scent relaxed you and helped you sleep at night.

He is a hidden simp.

He will make sure you're comfortable. If you want him to he'll sleep with you in the living room.

When you start walking him and Floof are constantly following you. Just to make sure you are safe and comfortable.

You cant help but love your two boys.

His streams and videos are already inconsistent but he did say his next video or stream might take a longer time.

But if you dont mind then you'll sit near him while he streams. If you needed anything he'll get it.

You saying hi to chat. They know you're in pain by your tone.

You meds are on a set schedule. If the time lands when he's on stream he doesn't think. Just gets up grabs your meds and a premade smoothie.

Watching you swallow that pill because you can be stubborn with pain meds.

Ok. Hear me out, butler.

He see the pain you are in and as one of his best friends he wont let you do anything.

Your parents were out of town after your surgery and it wasn't their fault their work called in suddenly.

So you were sent over to Tommy's for the three weeks they were out.

Tommy would let you relax on his bed, heck even sleep on it as well.

Doesn't care if your drains stain the bed. That's an easy clean up and he wants you to be comfortable.

He does still stream. Because it's something he does for a living.

But he'll try to keep it a bit quieter.

You once walked out of the room when he was streaming. You looked like a gremlin, hunched over while you had to take a piss.

When you entered you were greeted by wilbur, techno, and phil telling you they hope you heal fast.

Expect them in his room curled around you. Dogs know when humans feel pain and when they need something to comfort them.

He doesn't fully know what to do. He went and spent a few nights over at your house.

Your parents asked his parents for help so they sent over tubbo.

They made a list but the poor boy couldnt read it.

It took him calling tommy to ask him to tell him.

He hung up before tommy could finish and made the smoothie.

Ranboo spent the night and all you guys could do was joke about the pain.

The jokes were quite self deprecating too.

All night you guys were up.

You couldn't sleep because of the pain and he didnt want to sleep due to the fact he didnt want you to be alone.

So you two were sleep deprived and your parents were concerned. But understood you two didnt want the other to feel bad.

After you healed a bit your parents got called into work. Leading to you spending a few days over there.

Ranboo streamed a recorded with you in the back ground.

He forgot you were there once and he turned on face cam. There you were in the background nose deep into a book while wearing one of his hoodies.

You were freezing and your shirts were a bit too tight.

He just gave you one of his and that was that.

After leaving the bathroom you lightly hunched over you noticed the British man in your living room.

You watched his videos.

He's quite meticulous with your meds and eating habits.

Hell try to help you with your bandages. But sometimes got queasy at the blood and stuff.

It was okay with you though.

You didnt mind that due to the fact that you too got queasy as well.

I think you guys sleep through this alot.

Wilbur and tommy visited.

You was shocked and confused when they had a few get well soon gifts.

Tommy got you a small fidget toy, just something to do with your hands sometimes.

Wilbur got you a few books and a small stuffed toy.

It was a orca.

You loved it but still loved the one that george got you.

He got you a little wooloo one.

It was something that was soft and easy to cuddle.

But the books wilbur gave you were amazing.

It gave you something to do for a long while. And it gave george some more cuddle time.

Other than not knowing what to do george was a great source of comfort.

Sapnap

Sapnap is a bit more experienced with it.

Kind of knowing what to do and all together he just know more then most people.

There is a regular schedule for you meds and so called meals, he changes out the dog pads if he notices them dirty. He knows how to maneuver himself next to you so there was no pain.

He also sucked up that he would be overwhelmingly hot and sat next to you under the blanket.You weren't nearly as cold because of that.

Also since sapnap lives with dream I imagine that dream pops in some times and so does patches.

You all were probably best friends as children. And people always thought that you and dream would get together.

Only because you two were more touchy.

But you saw him as an older brother, and took a liking to sapnap.

Dream was really suportive and saw you as a little sibling.

Dream probably saw you not doing to well and made you something to eat and brought your pain medication.

That was because sapnap was sleeping next to you.

Patches curled up between to two of you and dream brought in something you hadnt seen before.

A roll away bed.

This mother fucker got a whole new bed just so he could sleep in the same room as you and sapnap.

"Sapnap is a heavy sleeper. What if you need something?" He was correct.

You woke up to pain and discomfort.

Dream woke up but sapnap didnt.

You were mainly cold though...

How the hell were you cold with this man radiating radiation the heat of a thousand suns?

No clue. But probably the anesthesia since you were in sapnap room dream just opened the closet and tossed his hoodie to your lap.

You woke up sapnap when you put on the hoodie on accident.

He pushed up against your shoulder a bit more and draped his arm over your lap.

"What's wrong?" Sapnap mumble made you stiffen up. Dream seemed to fall back to sleep too.

"Just a bit cold." He lightly nodded into your neck.

If we planned to move away for college/future plans in step 3, is it implied that MC and Cove would have a long distance relationship for sure? Could MC have convinced Cove to come with them? How is the dynamic of their relationship going to be addressed in Step 4, if that makes sense? 

Cove is willing to follow the MC where they went after everything is settled for them there, and if they’re sure they want him to come! You’ll get to decide how things shook out during those transitional years just by making choices about it during the opening prologue of Step 4.

Yeah, you or Cove can propose in Step 4 if you’re not already engaged! The Wedding DLC takes place after the engagement so the proposal scenes aren’t there.

I saw in an ask+answer that it’s possible to casually date Baxter In step 3, but what leads up to that? I have the step 3 dlc and I’ve tried playing them In a different orders and ways but it doesn’t seem to get anywhere ^^;

The Step 3 DLC is Cove-based because he’s the default guy. There’s a separate Baxter romance DLC that’s not out yet. That’s where you can get him to date you. I’m sorry for the confusion!

Will we ever get any LI's or side characters with physical disabilities or deformities? I think your games would be a great place to have them in since they're always so accepting and safe!

Steam sometimes isn’t connected properly when an achievement unlocks and so it remains locked on your account. If that happens, unfortunately getting the scene again won’t unlock it. The achievement becomes inaccessible because the game thinks you already have it. Playing with the same Steam account on a different device or fully deleting your game data (more than the only the save files) are the only work arounds we’ve found.

Since when you talk with Jeremy in step 3 it's mentioned he goes on dates with someone (which assume is JB because who else would take this boy on dates) that makes him happy, does that sort of make JB and Jeremy the canon relationship in the first game?

The default for XOXO Droplets is that JB casually goes on dates with each of the jerks! Shiloh would’ve been harsher if Jeremy was the only guy getting her attention, haha. But the player can change that default by dating just one person the whole game for their own story and who she ends up with for real has no default.

Hi, hello! Huge OL fan, thank you so much for the wholesome content, it was very much needed during these times. Managed to get several people to join team Cove, so that's very exciting, I always have people to fawn over him with. I have a little question and I'm sorry if it was asked before, but does it ever come up in the game what Cove has told his mom about us? (who knows, with so many options, one can miss it) Or, alternatively, will it come up in the Step 4 DLC?

Kyra is willing to keep her mouth shut and Cove isn’t gonna have that conversation either. I’ve been thinking about this ever since it has been confirmed that there would be two love interests for OL2, would there be the possibility of forming a polyamorous relationship with both love interests? I’m sorry if you answered this previously, I’m just curious. 

We are considering it, but it’s not a guarantee yet. It’d be really great to have but it’d add so many extra alterations that’d need to made, aha.

Hello! You mentioned how Cove would be uncomfortable with kids at 23, but how old would he be when he’s comfortable with having/adopting kids? (Same goes for the other LI’s.) btw, love your game!! 

He’d want to be at least 25, but even older would be good. Derek would want to have kids when he and his partner could reasonably support them, the age itself wouldn’t matter. If they were doing good at 22 and wanted kids, he’d be up for it. Or they could wait until their 30s or whatever. Baxter is also more of a “when it feels right” guy rather than having a specific age requirement. Cove is just especially wary of being a young parent because of his own parents. I’m happy you like the game!

does step 4 immediately play after you press "end summer" in step 3? or is there another button/transition (like the story text thingy) before the epilogue begins? what happens after the epilogue? roll credits? 😂 

Step 4 will have transition section always and there will be an extra button, if you own the Derek or Baxter DLC. By default the Cove-based version of Step 4 just plays once Step 3 is over. However, having the other guys’ storylines will mean you get to pick which version of Step 4 plays; Cove Step 4 (the basic one), Derek Step 4, or Baxter Step 4.

To be an approval application Apple requires having special notarization and we as a small group haven’t gotten that. Itch doesn’t care and lets us release the game for Mac there anyway, Steam does care so we’re locked out of putting the Mac build up on their storefront. Hello! I was jus wondering if the Baxter and Derek DLCs are still happening? I haven’t heard anything about them on here or patreon in a while so I just wanted to make sure ^^

They’re still coming and we just released a new sprite sketch on the Patreon for the Derek DLC c:. But right now Step 4 is still much more of a priority. Once that’s closer to being done we’ll focus way more on sharing previews for the other guys.

You and Cove can be as close as family, but there’s not a specific scene in Step 3 where you say “I love you” in a family context. But there’s always Step 4~

do you intend on ever adding a collectors mode to Our Life? Like a way to collect achievements and CGs for the gallery without it effecting any save files? 

We weren’t considering it before. But if a lot of players would find that helpful, we could start thinking on that!

He isn’t particular aware. Cove never truly stops being surprised that the MC is interested in/attracted to him, haha.

Would you say that the alone ending of xoxo droplets is worth playing again to get? 

Nope, haha. The goal is to make friends/get a boyfriend and so the alone ending is kind of the bad ending for the game. Though there is a consolation prize if you get it by accident.

Is there any possible situation which would ever prompt Pran to bake for his girlfriend? Like I know it's unlikely I mean even if JB broke her leg somehow I'm pretty sure he'd still be like "I considered baking you a cake and doing the frosting the way I think looks interesting but you don't deserve a cake, no one does." right but also ahhh it would be super nice if some day he just surprised her with baked goods one day out of nowhere. JB would be so shocked it would be cute. So is there any possible situation where that could/would be a thing that he would do? 

He might bake out of spite, like if he felt he had to prove her wrong on something. Or if JB used some good reverse psychology on him. Or he might do it in a relatively nice way if he could make his GF so shocked by the kind gesture that his amusement with that overrode his insistence on not being sweet. Pran is very difficult in high school, aha.

Is the "one route (where) it can be seen that Everett will drop his seemingly eternal waging with Jeremy pretty easily and can start getting along without thinking much on it" the Lucas route? I'm curious!

Step 4 is a free epilogue! It’s not done yet, but once it is finished you’ll just update your game file and Step 4 will be there after Step 3 ends.

They are. Step 4 is a free epilogue that’ll be a default part of the game once it’s done, the wedding DLC is an optional paid expansion that takes place after Step 4.

Why did Baxter not receive a step 2 sprite seeing how he shows up later

Sprites are time consuming to draw and take money out of the budget that could’ve gone to other things. His tiny appearance in Step 2 wasn’t worth all the effort to make a sprite, aha.

I just realized, what happens if if you get the patreon exclusive moment but at a later date, when you don't have the membership anymore, it's updated (like a bugs fix update for example)? Would you have to get the membership again? 

You would have to get the membership again to redownload the build. But there’s very little chance there’s going to be an update once it’s been out for over a month. If a build gets released with errors, players catch/report them within the first few days. So by the time the first subscription period ends, any problems that were noticeable would already have been fixed. And we’re certainly not gonna be adding new content to it once it’s been released for a long time. There’s no need to worry about missing out on something worthwhile in the future if you cancel your membership. It’s being made with the idea in mind that many players are gonna be getting it and then going.

Hello! Wanted to ask about gaming choice in step 3? Once upon a playthorugh I got the option to buy Cove a bracelet for his graduation present. I played the same basic character again and that option wasn't there anymore. I'm not sure where I went wrong. My Cove wears a bracelet on each hand and my MC is into fashion and jewelry. Do I need to put an earring on him or? Sorry, love your game so much. 

He also needs to have liked bracelets in Step 2 for that to be considered a good gift option for him. Sorry for the confusion! I’m happy you love the game :)

I’m not sure. Ideally they’ll come out at the same time, but the wedding DLC has a lot of art to get done and we may have to release it after Step 4.

Can mc still get confession from Cove at the end of step 3 even if mc casually dates Baxter in step 3? Such as in crush mode? 

I don’t think so. Maybe that’ll change, but generally there’s differences to the Step 3 ending if you were dating Baxter and those differences likely will conflict with getting the Cove confession.

For the patreon moments/dlcs, will it be available for all tiers?

You curse under your breath. Maybe coming out to befriend the slimes was a bad idea. I mean you had heard that people had started slime farms and you really just wanted to see if it was possible to domesticate them.

Maybe you shouldn’t have gone for the biggest most feral slimes, because they had immediately say you as a threat and started attacking you and all you could do is send waves of the element of your vision at them because you left your weapon. Maybe you shouldn’t have been so sure this would have worked.

The real kicker of this whole ordeal? The slimes are the same element as your vision. So really all that the waves of elemental energy you sent at them did was push them back for a moment before they pushes back at you again. Homophobic.

Out of the corner of your eye as you so desperately try to keep the slimes from smothering you you notice two guys who are running towards you.

The one on the right, which you note has a pyro vision, trips and falls as he makes his way towards you. The one on the left pays little to no mind to his fallen friend and he uses his electro vision to take down the slimes in a swift hit/

“Hmm,, okay?” the electro holder asks, you wipe the slime condensate off your body as he gives you a hand up. You nod at him

“Yeah thanks, is your friend okay?” you ask looking to the fallen pyro holder. Said man raises his hand for a moment to indicate he’s okay

“Happens,, often” the other tells you “Razor” he then tells you after a pause pointing to himself “Bennett” he adds pointing to the other who’s starting to get up

“Oh I’m [name]” you introduce and wave a little awkwardly.

And that’s where it started. You had basically adopted the two as your younger brothers, your door is always open to them. So much so that you gave Razor a key (you would have given Bennett one but he insisted that his horrific bad luck would cause him to lose it)

The two come over often, be it for little patches for injuries or for dinner. Razor and Bennett are always a whirlwind, and honestly they both make your day. Razor will take you along with him and Bennett for little adventures around Wolvendom, and even introduces you into his pack. You got a positive welcome for sure but the idea of being suddenly mauled by wolves made you tense for most of the exchange.

Bennett introduces you to his Dads who are more than happy to take you under their wings and help you out as much as they can. They’re cute seasoned adventurers and it makes you so happy to mingle with them.

Bingo night is intense.

Razor doesn’t often show affection often, partly to do with an aversion but mainly to do with not really understanding how it works. So instead of hugging Razor will just cup your face, he’ll happily take hugs from you though. He’s just not sure how to initiate them. When Razor is held between your arms he often finds his worrys about his place in his pack and Mondstat flutter away. He’s definitely cried in your arms once or twice. But you won’t mention it unless he wants to. Razor is grateful for that.

Bennett loves affection, he’ll often just run up to you and hug you in the middle of the street. He likes the comfort of your embrace. It makes him forget his unluckiness and lets him just have the moment of peace. You don’t want Bennett to feel unlucky around you so most of the time you oblige to his requests which are never more dangerous than going to bother Razor, his friend Fishl or going to do some shopping 

It doesn’t matter how steely your personality is the second Razor and Bennett are in the room you soften up for your boys. They’re just sweet lil guys that you’d positively do anything for

The first time Razor refers to you as his sibling almost makes you cry, you’re not sure why. You had unofficially adopted the boys and now here Razor is calling you his sibling, just like you have done for months. 

The first time Bennett calls you his sibling is very similar. Your eyes tear up for a moment at the thought of your boys seeing you how you see them

Sometimes the three of you will go out for a few days exploring the wilds and the nights are often spent huddled about the campfire while you tell them tales of old and random things you’ve done until they nod off

Even though the boys are independent for the most part and have actual families to go home to they often refer to you and your home as home and boy does it make you weep

Who would have thought being saved by two random guys would have lead to such a lovely sibling relationship?

Personal Opinion: If I was an English teacher in middle school, I would make all of my students read this book. It is such an important story to tell and the moral of it being about kids being true, brave, and weird is incredible. I couldn’t put the book down and even if you’re not in middle school, which you probably aren’t, I’m sure you’ll love this book too. The found family aspect is unbelievably heartwarming and it is the perfect book if you just want to enjoy yourself for a few hours.

Likes:

- If I was an English teacher in middle school, I would make all of my students read this book. It is such an important story to tell and the moral of it being about kids being true, brave, and weird is incredible. Brian suffers from mental illness, as far as I can tell: severe anxiety and PTSD. He learns that he’s so much more than his mental illness and that he is capable of normalcy. Ezra seems to have it all but he’s racked with fear of being treated differently because he’s gay but he just needs to find his people and Ty and Kevan are definitely his people. The way they found each other and became the support that the other boy had been missing is so important to me. I think Brian and Ezra both helped the other be brave and that is just so wholesome.

- Ezra’s crush on Brian is just so pure. His visions of a future together with Brian were so cute. When he imagined playing his guitar for him and brushing his hair out of his face, my heart skipped. I love the way he apologized for not doing enough for Brian when he was being bullied, I love how he cared so much he needed to find Brian when he ran away, I love that he bought them a pizza, I love that he just loves making Brian laugh. It’s just… so good.

- Also Brian didn’t freak out at all when Ezra confessed that he liked him? I mean, he did freeze up initially, but out of shock and confusion. He was not disgusted and he didn’t act any differently than he had. He even held hands with Ezra and let him hug him. He wants to keep Ezra as a friend and he doesn’t know his sexuality yet but that’s okay as long as they can be friends. And then Brian told his dad and his dad didn’t react, he just asked if Brian felt the same and told him that he would love his son no matter what he ended up as and that is just so sweet. My heart is squeezing just remembering this.

- Gabe and Brittany are the ultimate power couple. And the sweetest people in the world. I can’t. Gabe really searched all over town for a runaway kid and didn’t hesitate to bring the two of them to his home. He looked out for Brian kind of like an older brother would. He was respectful of Brian’s boundaries and made him feel normal for having panic attacks. Brittany, on the other hand, was the first person Ezra came out to (that wasn’t his sister, Nat) and she was so chill about it. She was able to make Ezra feel normal for his sexuality and when he came out to his friends, she invited him over to cook and just play music together and it is just the perfect response to someone who’s sort of going through a lot of emotions.

- Mrs. Clelland is so sweet too. She took her own student to her own home and made him feel safe and wanted! I love her and she clearly raised her son, Gabe, very well.

- Ty is so cool too. The entire moment when Ezra and Kevan slept over after the party and Ty encouraged Ezra to come out was such a good scene. I mean it! The conversation that followed was so wild and funny too. A whole debate on the sexualities and races of food which went into wild tangents about gross food combos. It’s so good because it shows that they’re just 13 year old boys. Normal middle schoolers that shouldn’t have to deal with the shit that Brian’s been dealing with. They make Ezra feel so normal and I love how Kevan was like “Ez, I’m going to set you up with a dude” and used the code word “mango” to refer to dateable men for Ezra. It’s so funny and he’s such a good ally for being so supportive. I also love that he’s a 13 year old that loves to cook, plus he’s Asian (Indian specifically) so bonus points for that.

- The random phrases are so good too. TEAM = Together, Everyone Achieves More. And the Ezra-patented LOSS = Lack of Sizzle Sauce. The way it caught on with the rest of the basketball team is adorable too and I love that Brian, though quiet and shy, got in on those inside jokes because Ezra just naturally makes people feel so much more welcome around him. I love that about him. 

- Richie is such an adorable 9 year old too! He did everything to protect his older brother and he did so well distracting adults so Brian could accomplish a bunch of things. Brian knows his brother gets anxious and he looks out for him and he protects him from strangers and I love him! Bless all these well-raised children!

- I haven’t talked enough about Ezra being such a great friend. He made a chill zone at Ty’s end-of-the-year party so that Brian can decompress if things got to be too much and Ty and Kevan were in on it too. But also, Ezra put on three bangers in a row so that he could dance with Brian, get him out of his shell a bit. And it is just so sweet, I love these kids. Whether or not Brian ever reciprocates Ezra’s feelings, I hope that they can be the best of friends for a long time.

Dislikes:

- Screw Victor! He really called Kevan “Captain Curry” for eating Indian food? And he also teased and mocked Brian relentlessly for literally no reason other than him being timid. That’s so  dumb. Yet he’s smart enough to know not to out a kid. He’s not going to make fun of Ezra for being gay but he’s got no issue with jabbing at someone’s race? The frick? I’m guessing he and Colby learned that behavior from their brothers and also enabled it for each other but it’s fucked up that Colby gives Victor a pass for his casual racism and ableism just because Victor had helped him with his schoolwork. It’s so dumb because of Colby’s issue with the Juice is that they made him feel bad for not being as smart, then it’s a dumb reason because Ezra offered to help! Not to mention, if Colby knows what it’s like to feel isolated for a thing he can’t control (a mental thing no less) then why the fuck do it to Brian too? He and Victor are just massive hypocrites clinging onto their whiteness to feel superior to others. Colby also covering his body more after Ezra came out is the antithesis to Brian holding his hand after he came out. I cannot believe Ezra used to have a crush on that asshole.

- But kudos to Brian for not only bashing Victor’s racist skull into a locker but for also telling him off like an ice cold badass in front of the student body. “I’m sorry I hit you. I wasn’t really myself that day. I shouldn’t let you bother me that much. But it won’t happen again. I’m not worried about you anymore.” What a baller thing to say to your bully.

- Brian’s parents are a mess. His mom tried to commit suicide on his birthday and his dad ran away from home in the middle of the night. Bruh. On his BIRTHDAY! The kid definitely has PTSD and panic attacks because of that. But that being said, they’ve done a lot more as parents than other fictional parents have. Parenting is hard and they’re trying their best and Brian called his dad out in the car after the party and just dragged him to hell and back and honestly, that’s probably enough for me. A kid that actually points out all the ways the parents had fucked up and then the parents actually apologizing. I can’t even imagine that with my own mom and dad so this is amazing.

One day Kazuya brought with him some video tapes to help Sawamura and Furuiya about their pitching and so these two plus mochi + nori + 1st years cathers all gathering infront of the TV but suddenly the video is an old recording of 2 cute babies (Kazuya + S/o) ? Like maybe just sleeping together or playing catch ball but the girl just keeps hitting Kazuya face not mat and he is cutely angry.Or she is crying because she dropped her icecream and baby Kazuya being so gentel and comfort her and sharing his with her. You know just small moments like that were recorded but because of this mistake everyone is asking about this girl but its obvious she is Y/N and so he is caught and had to make it official. Bonus. “ah, this is nice.” you hummed, laying on miyuki’s shoulder on the benches that no one uses. his hand was slowly gripping your thigh and he chuckled, “we have to go back soon. we’re going to review the game against teiko.” you let out a soft “hmph” and snuggled closer, closing your eyes.

“it’s so hard keeping our relationship a secret, kazu.” you grumbled. it’s been a secret for years now, and somehow no one ever caught on. growing up together, you both were bound to be a couple, like those typical childhood friends to lovers clichés. although miyuki wanted to keep it a secret, not out of ill intention but to avoid any unnecessary attention. you agreed, not wanting to be the talk of the town, but sometimes you couldn’t help but want to shout to the whole world about your pretty boy.

“sorry,” he whispered, kissing your forehead. he let go of your thigh and got up, reaching out a hand to you. “i’ll sneak into your dorm later to make it up to you. you can drool on me all you want.” you laughed as you took his hand and playfully hit him with your other, “i don’t drool.”

“whatever you say.”

you guys arrived at the dining area where the team was already gathered by the television, staring at miyuki as he walked in.

“MIYUKI-SENPAI,” sawamura shouted, “YOU’RE LATE. HOW CAN I REFINE MY PITCHING IF YOU DON’T SPARE ME THE TIME?”

“be quiet, sawamura,” miyuki sighed, “put the tape in.”

sawamura grabbed the tape from miyuki’s hand and hurriedly ejected it into the dvd system. “furuya, hurry and get a notepad,” he said to him.

the tape started to play as everyone sat back. you and miyuki stood in front on the tv, your memo pad ready in your hands to take notes on each pitch.

“miyuki,” kuramochi muttered, “are you sure you gave the right one?”

suddenly, a laugh emitted from the tv; not just any laugh, but a baby’s laugh, and it filled the silence of the room. everyone just stared at the screen in confusion, wondering why they were watching a baby hitting another baby that was sleeping.

you squinted your eyes at the tv, slowly recognizing what it was. “kazuya!” you shrieked, redness blooming across your cheeks.

“is that you, kazuya?” kawakami asked, “you had glasses since way back.”

miyuki stood there in disbelief because of what was playing in front of him, anxious that the secret he’d been keeping was slowly unravelling itself. wanting to get it over with quickly, he said, “alright everyone enough, i’m going to change it.” kuromochi quickly ran in front of him, blocking his way. “quick, sawamura!” he uttered, “hold him back!”

with a loud laugh, sawamura wrapped his arms around miyuki, holding him still while your eyes stayed glued to the screen. even though you were extremely embarrassed, you couldn’t help but watch and adore the old memories you had with him. time really flies, huh?

the next part of the tape showed a young girl crying, holding an empty cone with her ice cream splashed on the floor. the boy with glasses next to her was looking at her in annoyance, telling her to stop crying and that she can have his. he gave her his ice cream cone and the girl immediately stopped crying, giving him a small kiss on the cheek. the boy smiled and pat her head, telling her not to be sad anymore. “aww’s” and “ooo’s” went around, the team enjoying the wholesome content.

“is that you, y/n-senpai?” furuya murmured.

your focus on the tv was interrupted by that one question, as you shyly looked at miyuki, unsure of how to answer. if you said no, well, you’d be lying. but if you said yes, the whole team would find out about you and him, exposing years of your relationship. so you chose the most reasonable one.

“uh, no, i think that’s—”

“it is y/n, furuya.” miyuki breathed, cutting you off. he said a “let go of me” to sawamura and kuramochi before going to you and holding your hand. gasps came out of the mouths of the team, earning one from you too.

“kazuya..”

“y/n and i are dating,” he announced, “and we have been for a while.”

“WHAT!” sawamura shouted, causing kuramochi to kick his back. “I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE SIBLINGS!!”

“it was so obvious,” kuramochi rebutted, holding him by the collar.

“mm, we knew.” kawakami added, making an apologetic face.

“huh? but we never told anyone.” miyuki replied, “we’ve kept it in secret for years.”

“yeah but we always see you guys on that bench that no one uses.” kuramochi teased, “we make sure not to go there, right everyone?”

“WAIT REALLY?”

“shut up, sawamura.”

miyuki sighed and brought you closer, “well that’s embarrassing..” you laughed, partially because this whole situation was pretty comical, but because you were happy that you didn’t have to be in private anymore.

You two originally intended to have dinner with Mirio and Nejire- only to arrive in the common area and find your quiet meal had been taken over by a few of the more bright and friendly students in your class. It had become... Lively

Actually it was VERY lively- there had been some playful tossing of chips and food, a little wrestling, a lot of noise and movement.

There were too many people, too many voices, too much noise, too much movement- it was honestly too much, and you felt Tamaki tense up the instant the two of you saw what was happening.

Poor Tamaki wasn't really suited for something like that, and you knew it well- so, change of plans!

You tugged on his arm gently, pulling him back from the doorway with a smile and suggested you two just skip the dinner and head to your room instead to relax.

He was hesitant to go- he didn't want you to miss out on the meal or hanging out with everyone for his sake, sweet boy he was. He hastily assured you it was fine and he'd be okay to head in, putting on his bestest brave face and a smile that was trying so hard to be sure- but he was nervous still, but he tried.

"I-I'll be okay, (Y/N)... Don't worry about me... It'll b-be okay... L-let's go in..."

That beautiful boy was willing to head into a room that would be nothing less than torture on his nerves, and he would do it readily for you- and only you.

Tamaki was quick to make sure you had snacks, were comfortable, and had something to drink when you got there. He darted about nervously and fumbled a lot, but he meant well and was being kind and attentive in his own nervous way

He asks a dozen times if you're okay or if you want anything, his eyes darting nervously here and there. You assure him a dozen times and more, and tell him everything is perfect- the small, fleeting smile on his face each time you do it is just so damn CUTE

And then it's even cuter when, after and hour or two of content chatter between you two (and he's relaxed a bit), his face flushes slightly and he taps his fingers together nervously as he asks if maybe you wanna watch a movie or something...?

"A movie sounds great."

"o-oh... Okay..! W-what would you... Like to watch, (Y/N)....?"

"Whatever you pick will be perfect."

"Ah... O-okay...."

He totally picks some cliche, predictable, feel-good movie. Something like what you'd find on the Hallmark channel- you know it just can't have anything even sorry of scary in it, he'd have a heart attack

He sets the movie up, and brings out the spare futon he has in the closet. He piles on blankets and pillows, again making sure you're comfortable, not too hot, not too cold, everything.

At first when he settles down on the futon and the pillows he puts some space between you and him and doesn't get too close. He's a nervous bean, he can't help himself, but he totally keeps glancing back and forth at you and not really paying much attention to the movie.

You help him out a little by pushing yourself closer to him, and pulling some pillows up with you to stack them behind you both and the wall.

You're sitting shoulder to shoulder now, touching but only just- but even the little bit is enough to have him blushing again.... But he doesn't move

Ten minutes later he relaxes enough he shifts an inch or two in your direction, his body sinking out of the slightly stiff posture he adopted out of sheer instinct

Eventually he sort of forgot about being nervous at all, he just enjoyed the movie and the warmth of you next to him

When you started to nod off he noticed right away, he saw your head bob a bit too much and you jerked yourself back from the edge of a doze. You righted yourself with a small sigh, unaware of Tamaki's glittering gaze stuck to you for a few seconds, before his lips pulled in nervousness.

"U-uhm.... You can.... L-lean on my shoulder... I-if you want... (Y/N)...." He suggests, his voice barely more than a hushed whisper as he says it, and his face definitely a little more than red. He can't really seem to catch your eyes right then either, he looks away nervously the whole time- but you hardly care.

You waste no time in pulling closer to him, snuggling yourself against his shoulder and threading your arms around his. His red as a beet for it, but he doesn't resist or pull away, he just let's you get comfortable

He doesn't say anything after that, and neither do you- you're asleep pretty fast, and for awhile he tries to focus on the movie... Totally can't though

You are super warm, and your hair smells like sweet, fruity shampoo.

It's a really nice smell, so much so he's turned toward you and buried his nose in your hair without even thinking about it. He drinks in the warmth, the softness of your hair tickling his cheeks and neck

He moves his free arm toward you and reaches across to twine his fingers delicately with a few strands of your hair, before that hand falls and finds a place on top of one of yours.

The movie is nothing but a drone in the back of his mind after that, his eyes drop closed and he just let's himself fade away into the warmth of your body against his

You two snuggle in more as Tamaki begins to dose off too, the boy eventually hugging you into his chest, your head tucked under his chin and completely wrapped up in his hold

Without a doubt best nights sleep either of you has had in a long, long time

● Usually he's the big spoon, but lets you have the position whenever you ask

● Prefers being able to see you in front of him, though

● Usually sleeps in an oversized t-shirt or hoodie and shorts, but sometimes you can get him shirtless

For the anon talking about how they hate how over exaggerated a character is. I am not trying to start hate or anything, but if you don't like the way how someone portrays the character, just stop reading it. Some people don't delve deep, they just want to write fanfics for fun they're not going to make sure it's 100% the characters VERY complex personalities. Or the way how they view a character is different from their beliefs. I've gotten this message before and I am TIRED of it

I think it's a good time to talk about this because I've been thinking about bringing the topic up for a while. To begin with, let's clear something between the two anons because I think it's a misunderstanding:

Note: Please read this, this is important.

Anon A is saying that they're sometimes bothered by how some fanfics and Aus have a different way of picturing character X, in other words, they don't really enjoy it when a character is bring mischaracterized

Anon B (this anon) is saying that if you're bothered by a fic because you don't like how they're characterizing an specific character, then you don't have to read it.

Let me say that both of these anons are right, yet to think that their ideas are the opposites of each other, is totally wrong. In other words they both have a point, but I guess their points needs a stronger a better way of being explained in order to avoid any further dramas and misunderstandings.

Why am I doing this? Because I've seen -enough- of it. After the twst character analyses, aruges toward the mischaracterizations in this fandom became a thing, it's been causing some issues and arguments between the fans and it's mainly because of how sides fails to explain their points clearly.

Though I didn't really receive any rude asks/comments regarding myself the matter I can still how some fans feel attacked, offended or called out by character analysis posts or have the NERVE to attack or offend others with their own perspective on characters and try to force others into accepting them.

Enough with drama, I'm sick of it. I'm going to explain this as clearly as I can, hopeful that this would at least lessen the chance of having to go through another drama regarding the mischaracterization issue.

1) The concept of FANfiction

First off, the fanfiction itself; what is a fanfiction? What type of writing is considered to be a fanfic? What is it even used for? These are the questions we all need to answer before getting to know the world of fanfic.

Just as its name explains, it's fan + fiction. It's the result of the fan's creativity and imagination taking place in a fictional plot, something that hasn't happened with the original characters and he original story. The fans' imagination is often far beyond the plot which the original story/series/book offers, yet this isn't going to hold fans back from imagining it. Fanfiction is the way of giving yourself (or others) the specific and plot with the original and canon version isn't going to give you, in other words it's a way of getting what you wish to see through a story but this time, it's you who'd decide what will happen.

You are the one who decides how characters will be, you are the one who decides how and where this story happens and you are the one to choose how this story must come to an end. It's all about your own imagination and creativity, which enables you to have power over everything about your own story and fanfiction, everything (In expection gor than legal issues including claiming the original character as yours). You have the power, and you choose how it should be.

2) Fanfiction and mischaracterization

This was mainly the most brought up issue in the recent Twst drama, mischaracterization through writings. Many were saying how they find this annoying and nerve-wrecking, but no one really talked about how mischaracterization comes to life.

Let me tell you, as long your writing is a fanfic, there is a 70% chance of mischaracterizing the plot or the characters and there's nothing wrong with it, that's just how fanfiction works! It isn't supposed to be canon, it is fanon and only fanon. Everything that happens is fictional and fanon based, in other words, it's the fan who decides what should happen in a fanfiction and how it's supposed to be!

One of the Fanfiction's best purposes is giving the fandom a chance to mischaracterize! To write the characters the way they wish them to be and not necessarily the way they truly are. Fanfiction allows us to imagine and create something that isn't true, so let me clear my point here: It's totally okay to change the characters' personalities in your fanfics! As the writer, you have the right to do so, and since writing a fanfic must be for your own pleasure in the first place, no one can stop you from imagining whatever you want! No one can jump out and say stuff like "YOU CAN'T MISCHARACERTIZE A CHARACTER IN A FANFICTION" because that'd be super lame. It's your own fanfiction, your story, your creation and you're free to mischaracterize if that's how you like it to be! And if anyone doesn't like that, remember that they don't have to read that.

3)What is the problem?

Look, we've been going through some drama because of the recent character analyses of twst fandom, and I'd like to explain why. First off, note that I think both sides of the argument have been wrong and I'm going to talk about both of them.

Let me begin with a small example: It's been argued that based to what we've seen from Leona's personality so far, he doesn't seem to be the type to love healthily or even easily fall for anyone. Some of the fans seemed to be offended by the statement and said that "They still want their Leona fluff no matter what everyone else says" okay okay, this is the problem I was talking about: Saying that canon Leona doesn't seem to be much of a fluffy lion or a sweet lover isn't equal to forbidding the fans from writing fluffs for him or picturing him as a adorable and gentle lover! No one has the right to hold fans back from appreciating and enjoying what they like! But it's important to know what exactly is happening.

I'll talk about some crucial points you need to know about character analyses and how it's different from a fanfic in part (4), but before that, let me continue to give some examples of the recent argues and how each of the sides were wrong.

A) You enjoy reading fluffy Malleus content but character analyses have been saying that he isn't as soft and cute as you'd expected him to be. Does this mean that you can no longer ask for wholesome Malleus content or enjoy reading them? -> Of course not! You're still free to read/imagine/write whatever you like with Malleus! No one has the right to tell you what to do, and character analyses aren't meant to be a way to hold you back from enjoying what you like! If you're enjoying something, go for it! In this fanon world no one can accuse you for not following the canon interpretations!

B) You've spent a rather long time getting to know Ace and his canon personality, and you really like the way he is! But by reading fanfics/ fandom's interpretations on him you can't help but to feel like they aren't giving his personality the justice he deserves, and aren't seeing the great and amazing character he truly is. Is it okay to feel upset about this? -> Just as I said, it's totally fine to have your personal interpretations of a character no matter how different the rest of the interpretations are! But the real question is: what should you do when you think fandom isn't doing a character justice? This would be answered in part D!

C) You are enjoying your personal ideas and headcanons with Idia and many are saying that your way of picturing him is so adorable! Does this necessarily mean that the canon Idia as well is like you describe him? -> Absolutely not! No matter how adorable an Au/headcanon is, everyone's free to enjoy it but you should remember that canon ≠ fanon. You are totally free to imagine whatever you'd like! But keep this in mind that you shouldn't insist on your ideas being necessarily canon!

D) You feel like many are mischaracterizing your favorite character and you don't like it, what should you do? -> Well to begin with, remember that other fans have the right to characterize a character just as much as you do! You can't stop them from doing what they like or expect them to change the way they are because of how different the canon interpretation of a character might be. But you as well have a great chance to inspire the fandom by your own ideas! You can try to discuss how different the canon personality of your favorite character is and even try to turn that into a character analysis! This way you'd not only avoid causing any drama because of disagreeing with someone's way of picturing your favorite character, but you will also have a chance to present your personal ideas and characterizations to the fandom in a friendly and polite way!

E) You don't like how an author is characterizing some of the boys, what should you do? -> Easy solution, don't read it. Let me tell you, I have gone through this a lot and do you know what I do whenever I read/see something that doesn't match my tastes and expectations? I keep scrolling! That's all, I don't have to like it, but I don't have to read it either! 😀

F) You're an author and a writing request is asking you to write for a character in a way you just can't or don't want to write because that goes totally against your idealistics and ideas on a character, for example: You just can't write something really wholesome and fluffy for Leona because you can't imagine him being like that, what should you do? -> It's obvious, then don't write it! You have the right to choose what you'd like to write and how you like to picture a character no matter what others think. If you want to picture Leona as an emotional and soft boy, it's totally okay! If you want to picture him as a cold-hearted and mean prince, again it's totally alright! Remember, just like fans you have the right to picture and characterize the characters the way you want to, and no one can tell you otherwise!

G) You've read a character analysis and you realize that you've been mischaracterizing Floyd for a while, should you feel bad or sorry about it? -> Of course not!! Even if you were mischaracterizing him, keep this mind that there's nothing wrong with picturing Floyd as the way you want him to be! As long as you don't claim your headcanons to be canon and share stuff like "Canon from is definitely like this" or "Floyd would do that, canon! ^-^" it's totally alright to imagine him the way you like!

H) You saw someone saying something about Malleus that didn't match the canon interpretations of him. You quickly replied to then and corrected them about their wrong point of view and tell them how the real Malleus is, which kinda led to and argument between you and the person, did you do the right thing? -> Absolutely not! Attacking others out of nowhere and without any context isn't the right way of introducing the canon characterizations to the fandom! Even if you were right, keep this in mind that the other person has the right to picture Malleus or any other character the way they want them to be so if you want to correct them or try to get to know the canon character interpretations, you should do that from the logical and polite way.

I) Someone wrote a character analysis for Idia and said how they find it so annoying when people who refer to Idia as "Baby" and "uwu beanie". You often refer to Idia as baby or cutie yourself and the context of that analysis/general post some how got to you. You feel lowkey attacked and offended, did the original poster say the right thing? -> No, matter what the context is or how accurate and well-written that analysis was, directly calling people who have a certain way of picturing a character "Annoying" is rude no matter how you think of it. Even if the original poster were right about Idia not being UWU, their way of wording their sentence wasn't really pleasant; keep this, in mind that everyone in the fandom is free to picture Idia as they like and it doesn't even matter if you don't like it or not! If you're going to write an analysis/essay regarding a character's personality, remember that you should prove your point and disagree with opposite opinions through logical reasoning and explaining your point, NOT by offending and attacking other ideas by savage contexts like "You have to stop saying that Idia is like this", "I hate it when people say Idia is like this", " It's so annoying to see people saying Idia is like this... "

4) What's with the character analyses then?

There's a difference from the canon and fanon interpretations of a character, this is a truth which cannot be denied. But it's important to remember that just because a canon interpretation of a character exists, you can no longer enjoy the fanon interpretations!

Even I, for example, enjoy picturing someone like Malleus as an purely evil being like Maleficent herself because I enjoy seeing him as a perfect figure for "Mister of all Evil", but in my Malleus analysis post I explained how we should NOT think that Malleus is nothing but pure evil or a heartless monster! See, this is the difference I've been talking about. I'm pretty well-familiar with the canon Malleus, but I'm also enjoying the my own fanon Malleus and I know that the Evil Malleus I admire is a fanon one, not the canon one!

The thing is, character analyses aren't meant to be a way to hold anyone back from enjoying their fanon interpretations or imagining what they like, they aren't call out posts either. They are simply a way of getting to know the characters as if you're getting to know one of your irl friends. You come to think of them, see how deep their personalities are and get to learn more about them!

It's true that reading a character analysis might make you realize that you've been somehow mischaracterizing a character but this, isn't anything to be sorry or frustrated about! Character analyses are written to learn us more about our favorite characters, or as I like to name it, they want to show us that they're a lot more that we may imagine them to be!

Now, you may wonder how can we write a good character analysis without getting out of the line, offending anyone or giving out any cheap information?

I, personally, am pretty strict when asked to do a character analysis. Doesn't matter if I like the character or not, I'd try to judge them nonetheless. You HAVE to talk about both good features and bad features, and you must strictly avoid your analysis from getting personal; you have to make sure that your personal thoughts, feelings and emotions regarding a character aren't effecting your analysis. You shouldn't be writing it in a way to show off with your analytical ideas either.

Some people think coming off as rude would make them sound valid and acceptable, or they might just be used to being a little offensive in general, but as I explained in part 3-I, I won't recommend using any harsh or mean languages at all. Let me note that your way of wording your ideas is crazily important and if you're not careful enough with what you say and how you describe your ideas, your post would be not only be not much helpful as an analysis but also a cause of more drama and arguments. Also, keep this in mind that even the best of character analyses can't totally catch the characters' personalities correctly because we do not own them! Twisted wonderland's characters are a property of aniplex and neither me not anyone else in this fandom has the right to claim what a character is 100% like unless Disney officially releases those details!

Writing character analyses can be hard, from finding enough of hints to defend your point to choosing the right Grammer and way of speaking to avoid any further misunderstandings. But remember, those who write character analyses have no right to attack anyone because of them (They can oppose to different opinions of course, opposing ≠ attacking ), but keep this in mind that readers have no right to attack then because of their analysis either! See, that's a two-sided relationship. Both of the, sides have to learn to respect, both of the sides should, know, their boundaries and both of the sides have to be respectful!

Warning: When I say you're free to do or imagine whatever you wish to do, know that posting and sharing writings too has its own rules. Make sure to put the proper warnings, and avoid using any taboo or clearly impolite and sometimes, illegal concepts such as incest, pedophilia, etc.

I actually had a lot more I wanted to say regarding the matter but I'm keeping it short, because I know that writing too much would make this boring and pretty hard to read. Hope that it's clear enough and avoid the possible future misunderstandings and arguments regarding the matter. Please, this isn't even about twst, it's about learning to respect each other it's about real life. Having people read THIS is a lot more important than having them read my character analyses or writings.
