Jamie: I spent a good few weeks stumbling around the strange new world I came into, trying to make sense of any of it while still hoping I could find the boy that went missing. Then lo and behold, there he was trotting back up to his house with a suitcase like no big deal. Once I explained who I was and how I’d been looking for him, Sasha explained as best he could how the barrier around the mountain fell, and the monsters moved up to the surface. He even convinced his parents to let me stay while I looked for a more permanent place to stay and sorted through all the paperwork and legal meetings that come when you return from being legally dead.

With everything that was happening, it didn’t feel like that long before he was suddenly off to a WINTER camp at the same island... And dragging me along for the ride.

All in all, Camp Wintersoul turned out to be fairly peaceful and--I gotta admit-- kinda fun... Pesky, egotistical bug trying to ruin things for everyone aside...long story.

And then along came Angelo, the “Seraph of Retribution”.

Sasha: Don’t let the name scare ya; he’s a pretty cool guy.

Jamie: Right, well that cool guy decided to have a bunch of us campers stay behind so he could test us all in combat. A “trial of unity”, as he called it.

Sasha: And me? Went straight home; not really a fighter. Soon as I got back, though, I made a new friend...

A’This guy!

When I first met him, he was hiding in a cave and trying to claim shopkeeper immunity when I found him.

Archie: Well, in my defense, I was still suffering from resurrection shock and scared of dying again.

Sasha: Archie came to live with us too... Got a little crowded as a result, ‘till Jamie managed to get in touch with a guy who interned for her dad’s office. Her dad was the  town’s sheriff, by the way. He agreed to take her in because he knew him.

Jamie: Thanks to him, I was able to get in touch with some of his old colleagues in your hometown and get the reports of someone wandering the old station... Someone matching the description from a missing person cold case.

Wintersoul Report Day 11

*~Hey there campers! Well, here it is, the last day and the final report! Might have been a few bumps along the way, but honestly it was a good two weeks. You were a lively sort this time around, definitely got up to some trouble, but you brats were generally alright. Brought a spark of life to Soul Island, and I know the Residents and Counselors enjoyed spending time with you all...despite what our grumbling and threats may have implied otherwise eheh.~

*~Counselor Ren snuck a little surprise event in to the schedule before the Dance. Something rather sweet really. Making Floating Lanterns to decorate and release as a gesture of farewell after the dance. It was pleasant really, just a bunch of campers (and maybe a goopman...hey it was for my daughter!) drawing whatever came to mind. Saw some kids drawing their friends. Others were just drawing shapes. Stars and hearts, and stars with hearts. Saw some of the Islands residents on a few lanterns. And more than a few happy scribbles heheh. Thanks for making our last moments in camp a little more special, Ren.~

*~Speaking of the dance heh, well, it was wild! We had the appearance of DJ Emitem (Rumors insist that it was really Samson in disguise.) again gracing us with their selection of music. Meaning we wanted to murder the little jokester half the time... Quite a lot went on that night, it would be difficult to single every one of you out, but its safe to say it all falls under ‘everyone had a good time’ heh. Saw some fancy outfits out there, guess you kids wanted to dress for the occasion. All I can say is it looked more cute than snazzy heheh.~

*~Even the furworm got in on the fun, some of the tunes must’ve been simple enough for that beastie to bust a move to. Imagine seeing 30 feet of a long furry noodle shimmying and stomping on a frozen lake creaking under their weight. Yeah, its not something you forget. Even more frightening than that though is seeing Lord Invex on the dance floor! Apparently several bribes of sugary confectioneries convinced the jerkbug to demonstrate his superior dancing skills on the ice. Even our resident spooky man Geist got in on the fun, dancing as mad a jig as one can without legs with Invex! Now there’s a night to remember! Bet that the bug won’t forget that sugar crash anytime soon either heheheh.~

*~As the night wore on those lanterns from earlier were released, lighting up the sky. Our own starry night of inscribed memories and emotions, let loose to share with the world. After that little event (finished without a single tear shed, mhm, honest!) there was one last announcement. Angelo, our ally during the Parasite Incident, extended an invitation to a Trial of Unity to the campers. A completely optional fight with the big dog himself as a test of strength and well, unity.~

*~Otherwise the campers were completely free to spend one last day to say their farewells and depart. To say things got emotional would’ve been an understatement eheh. Plans were made to meet again, contact information exchanged, a few arguments here and there, even a few crushes turning into a requited relationship. Adorable. In the end, we all left. Together, alone, parting with a few last words before hopping through. Taking one last tour of the island. One lucky soul got to ride the dragon around the whole island before having a tearful parting. Don’t worry furworm, you’ll see your pup again.~

*~Sure, it might not have been as exhilarating an end as battling an ancient world destroying threat, but the time spent here was worth it all the same. And with that Camp Wintersoul came to a close, and we’ve reached the end of the reports. But fear not, Soul Island and its residents are still around. ready and willing to open their home to more mischief. And draft me into babysitting. You’ll all have an opportunity to see your friends again. And even though I want t toss most of you off the island more often than not...I’m looking forward to it.~

Camp Wintersoul Day 1

*[The video recording starts up, showing Bonnie. She seems a bit on edge, but otherwise in good shape.]

* So my friends that I met during a bit of a get together dragged me off to some flying island for a camp. It seems...nice here, but...I dunno. It’s hard for me to trust good seeming things these days. Took a bit of a look around, though, it’s a big place. Might have a bit more to report tomorrow, though.

Camp Wintersoul Day 1

*[After a bit of fiddling, Alexis gets the camera set up. Seems she’s in a cabin, with rich indigo walls behind her...]

* Well, after waiting so long, I’m back at Camp! I missed being here! I got to see all my friends today, but...not much happening on the first day! Eimmet and his Camp Counselors helped explain things to the newcomers...seemed like there were a lot this time around...probably a good thing they missed what happened last time around.

* Anyways! This time I brought my sister and a friend of ours along...but I think I’m going to keep a bit more distant from Emma then usual. Maybe that’ll get her to branch out and make some friends! She can’t rely on just me for social activity forever, after all! Hopefully tomorrow has some more action!

Camp Wintersoul Day 1

*[After no small bit of camera fiddling, Emma finally has the camera set up properly. She seems to be in a cabin of some sort, with plenty of bookcases behind her and a distinctly purple color theme. She looks a bit sleepy, but in a cheerful enough mood.]

* So after much insisting on my sister’s part, I decided to make some recordings of my day to day activities here at Camp Wintersoul...which she also insisted I come to. I am not a social butterfly like she is, but...I will try at least. The first day...largely just a introduction to the Camp, held by Eimmet, who seems to be the leader here.

* ...There were far too many people, in my opinion. I do not like crowds. Thankfully, after that was lunch, and while still fairly crowded, was less so at the cafeteria. Perhaps tomorrow will be quieter...it might be a suitable chance to explore the location we are at in greater detail.

[* And in two weeks time...]

Jamie: ...So the camp gave us these pins at the end of our stay. Equipping one allows you to keep in touch with anyone else wearing a pin like it telepathically. Even in other universes. Sasha uses his to chat with his other camp buddies on occasion. They also help if we ever get lost from each other. At least...as long as we’ve both remembered ours at the time.

“Camp Pin EX(MAS)”, this one’s called. Silly, yeah, but it does its job. Archie will probably be getting his own from the school event. With its own silly name.

Like nearly all the souls crew I was off tumblr to do the Wintersoul event! I helped mod it and we had over twice the original turn out! It was great. Here’s some silliness that happened.
