Favorite co star of Austin has to be Jodie for me. I loved their chemistry during the press tour. I wish we had gotten more from them on screen because the chemistry was there. But the script was lacking in that department.
But their interviews were so freaking cute. You could tell they really fancied each other. Not romantically. But they for sure had their flirty moments. Just the respect and admiration they had when speaking to each other.
The smile on Austin’s face around her was so sweet. I love their interview with her teaching Austin British slang. Absolutely perfect.
Yess I loved Jodie and Austin's press tour together! They were so adorable with each other. 🥰
They really had great chemistry in their press tour. Much more than I thought they would have honestly. I think they genuinely liked each other and respected each other as costars.
Come to think of it, I've actually enjoyed seeing Austin with most of his co-stars lol. He seems to get along well with them. Callum, Timothée, Florence, etc.
But yea, he and Jodie and him with Timothée seemed the most comfortable. I agree with you too that he and Jodie actually had really good onscreen chemistry in "The Bikeriders" as well, but Jeff just gave Austin so little to do, and he and Jodie weren't really given much -- not even a kiss scene! I almost feel like Jeff just wanted Austin to just stand there and look beautiful lol. 🤣
Anyway, I can't wait to see what Austin's chemistry will be like with Tom Holland for "American Speed". 😊 Tom is a great guy too. Very sweet and charming. I can't wait for their press tour together.

-absolutely none of them should’ve survived that blast
-dang Callum, Rayla, and Ezran are very close to them, you’d think they’d be much more ahead, given that they spent a while on the boat and didn’t have to stop to drop off a prisoner

Review of 10x15
I'll admit I was slightly nervous about this episode before watching. Not because I didn't think it would be good because I did (the writing has improved and paddy always delivers) but because depending the episode was guaranteed to be plot heavy and part of an on going storyline, I was nervous that we wouldn't get a decent glimpse into the burzek family household through Adam's eyes, or if we would get a minor update on Kim's therapy. But I really shouldn't have been nervous because the episode was so good on all fronts.
Adam's growth.
I'll get into the actual plot after, because as much as I liked this episode for the plot, I absolutely adored it for how brilliantly it displayed just how much Adam's grown. He's a proper family man, and I love it.
I adored that opening scene. I loved Adam being a dad, being a shield to keep Makayla's life smooth and allowing for Kim to have the time and space to do her therapy stuff and all that processing without having to worry about her daughter. I also adored it for Uncle Kevin, and showing that Mack has some amazing black family members in her family. And I just adored the scene of her and Jordan. And I loved getting that little update on Kim, knowing that she's told Kevin and just that whole scene. Kev and Adam being besties, it being just a fact that burzek + mack are a family, and enjoying seeing this glimpse of them outside work.
And I loved how throughout the whole episode it was so clear that Adam's very much stepped into and embraced the role as dad, and how he sees things through the lens of that. I also very much loved that it's clear, even when things are enraging him or stressing him, that he's very much got a grip on his hot headedness which I just love to see.
Adam seeing Samantha and Callum through the lens of his own little family with his girls was just... Like so good. I like as well that it's harder for him to see it as black and white as not only one of the only parents on the team but as the one in the trenches seeing and experiencing that.
I adore how that Adam and Makayla very much have their own relationship, their own beats that exist outside of Kim. It's theirs, they're family, and at this point it's more irregardlous of Kim than being because of her and I think that's just really beautiful.
Adam's growth and maturity can be seen throughout this whole episode, how he is with Samantha and Callum, how he is with filling in the team, how he talks, how he's with and about Kim, just everything but the thing to me that stood out the most was that adorable night scene with him and Mack. Then, that's where "Adam's a dad" stood out the most to me. The soft way he is with her, the way yet again it shows their individual relationship with each other, the easy way he is at reassuring her about his injuries and that freaking hand holding. It was everything and it's clear Mack is his world, and not just because Kim is, and I love that so so much.
The plot
I still can't get over how well done the plot this season has been, the writing and everything and it's definitely got a really good pace to it. And I love how we've been getting storylines across episodes and they're well built to. I very much like this Beck plot, although it is slightly predictable in that I already thought we knew they were white supremacists before it was revealed, but that doesn't detract from it.
I like the friendship building between Adam and Samantha and I definitely think he'll be instrumental in hopefully bringing Samantha around to help them build a case against their father.
Also in many ways this has felt like one of the more realistic villains of the show for a while and that's made me thoroughly enjoy it. (Tbf Sean also was very realistic, but him being the chief's son took away from that a bit for me).
Additional comments
I think the thing I disliked the most is the yet again insistence of using their real names of their UC work. And I must say I flinched when Adam used Makayla's real name-- although I also did like it. One, because it shows how grey Adam is finding this, he's invested in Samantha and Callum as a family and two because I'm hoping it was like him just discreetly dropping crumbs that maybe Adam isn't alike her father for Samantha to ruminate on.
I loved the burzek scenes we got. Kim staying back twice to check on Adam and make sure he's okay, and asking is just everything. And I died at "our daughter". And the scene in the bullpen when Kim clearly looks to check on Adam and he nods to give her the okay. And just everything. They are a family and I love it. And I love how Adam very much is the wall that is supporting his family, that his presence allows both of them a security but that they both care so deeply for him too.
I also loved how obviously anxious Kim was when Adam was being tested. Her fidgetiness and just everything, like her composure-- I really loved it because one) it shows that he's more than a teammate to her, he's her family and two) it's a continuation of her traumas, that you can tell it's making her more anxious in that scenario.
And finally I adored how strong Kim asserted that Adam made the right choice. It was parent talking to parent, co parents who are family. And also how in the immediate seconds that followed it felt almost way too intimate for the place they were, in that moment Kim wasn't Burgess, but his partner and I just died!
Lastly, I also yet again really love how the other characters got more of a role than previously as it truly does show that character centric episodes doesn't have to be as restrictive as it has been. It has some ways to go, of course, and I would prefer a slight more element of a kinda b plot esque thing, but it's such an improvement and makes me enjoy the episode 100% more.

every avatar i can think of and their relationship to recreational drugs and alcohol
jon sims: only drinks those fruity cocktails that don’t taste like alcohol. seems like someone who has never done drugs but has absolutely snorted speed in university and only georgie knows about it
martin blackwood: doesn’t drink. has smoked weed before but has justified concern for his own health and doesn’t make a habit of it
tim stoker: likes and hates drinking beer in equal measure. seems like someone who does drugs but never actually has
sasha james: academically enjoys edibles but prefers to just drink anything blue
not-sasha james: drinks straight tonic water or margarita mix and inhales the fumes off of sharpie markers
gertrude robinson: smokes menthols and puts whiskey in her coffee. doesn’t do drugs and if you ask she’ll just squint at you in that old lady way. has allowed gerard keay to smoke weed in her office before
elias bouchard: still smokes but it makes him cough a lot so he only does it in private. used to drink laudanum but can’t find it anywhere anymore so now he just makes do with weed and really expensive gin
melanie king: likes daiquiris but only if they’re a flavor other than strawberry. vapes exclusively blue raspberry and watermelon flavors
basira hussain: only ever drinks just enough to avoid getting drunk. has never been on drugs and doesn’t want to. would pick up a joint with her thumb and pointer fingers like it was toxic waste
daisy tonner: has only been drunk once and hated it. has never done drugs but kind of wants to just so she can say she has. hates vapes and stares at melanie directly in the eye until she leaves whenever she does it within six feet of her
georgie barker: hates the taste of all alcohol. owns many novelty souvenir bongs purchased from various tourist attractions around europe. her favorite is the one that looks like a bottle of honey shaped like a bear
peter lukas: likes a lot of weird craft beer and thinks he’s oppressed for it. vapes also but only gross old man flavors like mint and butterscotch
jane prentiss: likes red wine. would smoke weed if offered it but has no idea how to go about acquiring it herself
timothy hodge: drinks fucked up cocktails that would kill anyone over the age of thirty-five. will do molly at parties and then go home and sleep for fifteen straight hours and he does this every friday
raymond fielding: drinks brandy out of a crystal glass like people do in the movies. extremely catholic but was also twenty years old in the 1960s. tried lsd one time and the web told him to stop throwing away his bright future so he never did it again
agnes montague: doesn’t drink because diego molina told her when she was like eight that she would explode if she did. would vape if she had ever heard of it but tragically hasn’t
julia montauk: astronomical tolerance for everything so she usually doesn’t even bother. drinks a lot of whiskey bc she likes how it tastes
maxwell rayner: drinks laudanum
trevor herbert: canonically has done heroin. has since kicked his addiction and doesn’t do or drink anything anymore
oliver banks: does xanax but he technically has a prescription. says he smokes weed for his anxiety but it actually just makes it worse
jared hopworth: advocates for allowing safe steroid use but would rather die than do it himself. refuses to drink on principle but when he was still a normal human he drank natty light
gerard keay: drinks one shot of everclear every morning. also says he smokes for his anxiety but it actually just makes it worse. prefers regular cigarettes
simon fairchild: also drinks laudanum
natalie ennis: drinks one (1) glass of champagne every new year’s eve. calls all mind-altering substances “temptations from the mouth of the devil”
michael the stortion: never got the chance to do drugs before getting spiralized and now they don’t do anything to him so he’s super pissed off about it
sarah baldwin: likes fruity rum. smokes a lot of weed
daniel rawlings: smokes weed as well. makes sarah roll his joints for him
john amherst: refuses to exist within ten feet of people smoking anything. thinks penicillin is a mind-altering substance and is mildly scared of it. doesn’t bother with alcohol but would drink bong water if he knew what it was
callum brodie: has never drunk alcohol or done drugs due to being thirteen. has yet to grow out of his “smoking cigarettes is badass” phase
nikola orsinov: made of plastic and therefore can’t drink or do drugs but would be on acid literally constantly if she was able
helen the stortion: puts ketamine in her own drinks for flavor
jordan kennedy: went to liberal arts college and lived off of tequila and mdma for six months. has since stopped doing drugs altogether because his job involves driving and he doesn’t trust himself to do that while high but still holds alcohol like a monster
annabelle cane: drinks peach white claws and smokes her joints through a 1920s cigarette holder
karolina gorka: drinks stoli out of the bottle. too cool to do drugs but has eaten a weed brownie by accident before
jude perry: drinks fireball whiskey if she feels like being normal and unleaded gasoline if she doesn’t. canonically does coke but freaks out around needles
mike crew: doesn’t drink. forgoes weed in favor of doing coke in public bathrooms with jude. complains that adderall doesn’t do anything but he just has undiagnosed adhd
jan kilbride: doesn’t drink or do drugs anymore because astronauts aren’t supposed to but he did acid one time in college and it almost gave him an anxiety induced heart attack
eugene vanderstock: also does coke with jude but in a significantly less companionable manner. its more of a competition but nobody knows what they’re competing against each other for, least of all the two of them
manuela dominguez: will spit at you if you offer her anything but drinks a lot of wine and keeps a box of oxy in a drawer
hezekiah wakely: smokes opium
tova mchugh: somehow a facebook wine mom without having kids. outwardly condemns drugs of any kind in a very holier-than-thou way but has also done coke more than once
emma harvey: drinks vodka out of water bottles. rolls her own joints, puts just enough regular tobacco in them to mask the weed smell, and tells people they’re regular cigarettes
adelard dekker: has never done drugs in his life but is not morally opposed to the idea, he just doesn’t feel like it

"Fire!" The dragon has more of that then you
Soren actually making a good choice for once
"I think I really messed up this time, Clauds." At least you are aware of it
Dragon down :(
I know Viren thinks he's doing the right thing but... urgh

Ez, how about you also ask about Bait for once?
Gren is perfect

Ohhh noooo Callum
Not-so-dead dragon
That cut off dragon spine is probably going to be used for Dark Magic later on, isn't it?
Oh fuck, that didn't sound good, Soren
Is dragon gonna tell Zym's mom that he exists?
Claudia chose Soren at least
Oh dear poor Soren :(
Thank you so much for not actually showing them cut their hands
Little bug!
Imagine if Viren had freaked out when it crawled up his sleeve and just hit and killed it right there lmao
Aaravos answers, uh speaks!

Anything But Mine (d.s.) - Chapter Thirty-Five
A/N writing this lowkey broke my heart ngl
Tumblr media
Tuesday, September 8th, 2020
The bell above the door rang gently and Florence glanced over to see Emilio coming in. He walked quickly over to the small table she was sat at and slid his backpack off his shoulders before sitting down to join her with a heavy sigh.
“Thanks for agreeing to meet me.” Florence said with a smile.
“Anything for you.” Emilio replied, running his hand through his hair before leaning his forearms on the table to give her his full attention. “Next class starts at 12 so the next hour is all yours.”
“I’ll try to let you go early.” Florence chuckled, restraining herself from reaching out to hold his hands.
“How’s the baby doing?” Emilio asked.
“She’s doing well. That’s what I wanted to talk to you about actually.”
Emilio didn’t say anything as a way to encourage her on.
“I found out some news last week. Important news.”
“Go on…” Emilio said slowly, hesitantly.
“I don’t want you to be upset with me, but you need to know.”
“Okay.”
“Apparently at Corbyn’s birthday, Daniel and I…did more than just talking.”
Emilio’s sudden exhale took Florence by surprise.
“Oh thank God.” Emilio mumbled.
“What?”
“I thought you or the baby was dying or something.” Emilio whispered. “I know about Corbyn’s birthday stuff. Corbyn himself told me.”
“What?! When!?” Florence gaped.
“Like a month later maybe.”
“So the whole time we were wondering who…”
“Yeah, I figured it was Daniel the second the doctor said it was neither Grayson nor me.” Emilio said casually.
“Why did everyone know but me?!” Florence said almost too loudly. A few other customers in the café looked their way.
“It wasn’t our place to say.” Emilio answered. “Did he tell you himself?”
“Yeah. And we had an appointment. It’s official, I guess.”
“Wow. I don’t know whether to say congratulations or I’m sorry.”
“To be fair, I don’t know what I want to hear either.” Florence tried to chuckle but it came across more worrisome.
“How are you holding up with knowing it all now?” Emilio let his hand fall into hers and she didn’t hesitate before wrapping her fingers in his own.
“I…don’t know.” She sighed, keeping her gaze on the tabletop. “I’m as fine as I can be, I guess.”
Silence fell between them. Florence could feel her heart beating strongly in her chest, tightening her grip on his warm hand as she struggled the words out of her mouth.
“I miss you.”
“I missed you too.” Emilio smiled, giving her hand a soft squeeze.
“No…like…I miss how we used to be. Before everything got complicated. How things were in November.”
“November was a good month.”
“I miss you, Emi. I miss how you made me enjoy life and enjoy being loved.”
Emilio dropped his gaze, “What about Daniel?”
“What about him?” Florence frowned, “He’s with Cayleigh. They’re too freaking in love to break it off over this. And honestly, who cares. But I want you.”
Florence licked her lips nervously, eyeing how he kept his gaze on their hands, “I want you, Emi. Only you. Please.”
Silence fell again. It rested heavily over their table for two in the middle of the campus café. Her heart raced in her chest, His silence wasn’t a good sign.
“Emilio.”
“So much has changed, mi amore.” Emilio breathed, shaking his head slightly without looking at her. “And you have two little girls now who need your attention and I…I can’t get in the way of that.”
She pulled her hands back from his and set them on her lap, wiping them on her jeans like touching him made her covered in something distasteful. Her unrequired feelings were distasteful; and they stung her skin like viscous little bug bites.
“Florence.” He sighed at her action.
“It’s okay. I understand.” Florence nodded stiffly.
“You know I’m here for you. You know I love you. I just can’t-“
“Be bothered. I know.”
“That’s not what I meant.”
Florence slung her purse over her shoulder and got up to leave. Emilio practically jumped out of his chair to grab her wrist, stopping her from walking away. She looked at him expectantly. The room was focussed on them and he nervously glanced at the strangers’ judgemental stares. Florence pulled from his grip and walked out, forcing Emilio to grab his backpack and run after her.
“Just go to class, Emilio.” Florence spoke strongly, walking briskly towards the bus stop.
“I didn’t want to hurt you.” Emilio called, almost running to keep up with her. “It’s just…I can’t…”
“I get it.” Florence said dryly.
“And you’re hurt by it.”
“Well, yeah. You confess feelings for someone and they’re not reciprocated, it hurts.” Florence finally stopped walking to look at him.
“It’s not that I don’t have feelings for you. I-I-“ Emilio ran both hands through his hair, trying to put his emotions into words. “I love you so damn much.”
“But you can’t be a father this young. I know.”
“I mean, yeah, I guess, but you didn’t ask to be a mother.”
“I don’t know what you’re trying to prove but it’s confusing the hell out of me.” Florence scoffed.
Emilio mumbled something to himself in Spanish, running his hands over his flushed face.
“What is it, Emilio?” Florence asked sharply, tired of him spewing random answers at her that didn’t seem to make sense.
“It’s because of my brother.” Emilio breathed. “I can’t do this to my brother.”
Florence fell into silence.
“He was heartbroken after he and Callum broke up. I have never seen him like that before. I love you with my whole heart, mi amore, but I can’t do that to Ivan. Being with you would bring Callum into this and that’s too hard.”
“Yeah. I get that.” Florence whispered, her voice wavering.
“I’m sorry.” Emilio mumbled.
“No…I agree.” Florence nodded, “Callum is the same. I didn’t think about that.”
“The only reason we know each other is because of them which makes it worse.”
“I know.”
Other students making their way to and from class walked around them but they didn’t move, keeping their position in the center of the sidewalk. Emilio glanced at his watch and then back to her, sighing gently at her clearly hurt expression.
“I have to get to class.” He whispered.
Florence simply nodded, keeping her eyes turned to the sidewalk, her body angled away from him. He took a step towards her and pulled her gently by the sleeve of her jacket into a hug. She closed her eyes tightly, wrapping her arms around his middle and leaned her head on his shoulder. They stayed there for almost too long, neither saying anything in fear of letting their fragile states release tears. It was already hard enough.
“Okay,” Emilio sighed, running his hand up and down her back, “I really do have to get to class.”
Florence slowly moved back from him, tucking her hair behind her ear. She kept her stare at the ground. She knew looking at him would break her to pieces. The pair kept their consistent silence another moment.
“I love you.” Emilio breathed.
“Don’t say that.” Florence mumbled, closing her eyes as if those words physically hurt her.
“I do. I fucking love you.” Emilio’s voice breaking made Florence look up at him. His blue eyes were shimmering with tears and a drop fell down his cheek which he wiped away quickly. Florence grabbed the front of his t-shirt and pulled his lips to hers, kissing him so intently that she felt like her heart might beat right out of her chest. It was over before it barely began as she pushed him back, his hands barely brushing her waist in his attempt to pull her close.
“You have to get to class.” She whispered, finally dropping her fist from the material of his white shirt and took a few small steps backwards. Emilio was left stunned and broken-hearted by their reality as he watched her walk away. They were just trying to do what was best for their brothers.

Rayllum Prompt: Rayla and Callum have to babysit a baby elf.
“Mornin Ethari.” Rayla had come downstairs yawning “Mornin Callum” She sat down and started peeling a piece of fruit from the tray on the table.
Callum stood up to clear his plate and stoped to kiss her on the head “Goodmorning sleepyhead. So Ethari and I have been having such an interesting conversation, did you know that the shadow hawk spell-”
“No” Rayla stopped him and he pouted.
“But” he interjected but she interrupted him again.
“No. Breakfast first. Tired” Her overly excited human walked into the kitchen.
“Rayla you’re being grumpy, be nice” Ethari chastised and she simply stared at him in unamused defiance.
Callum reentered a few minutes later with a plate cup of strong tea and buttered toast. “You’re lucky I’m such a nice husband.”
She started eating her toast and smiled “I love you” then she enjoyed a large sip of the hot tea. “Ok, now talk”
“Oh yeah. So apperant-”
This time it was Ethari who interrupted. “Actually I needed to let you two know, Rayla you know Yaveen?”
“Yeah. It’s been a’long time though-”
“Well you two arrived a day early and I already agreed to help her with an errand today.” He was speaking a little quickly and Rayla wasn’t fooled for a moment.
“Oh Ethari we’ll be fine on our own for a day, we have a whole week to visi-” Callum started kindly.
“Well great! She should be here at any moment we decided since you’ll be here it’ll be much easier it, OH the door!” Ethari went to let Yaveen in, she entered carrying a baby. The woman looked exhausted. Callum walked over to greet her and introduce himself but Ethari went back to speaking quickly “Ok well we better get going. But anyway we thought that we’ll be able to get things done so much quicker and Yaveen can take a nap if we leave Rahlee here with you two!”
The woman quickly handed the baby and a bag to Callum who opened his mouth to say something but the woman cut him off. “Everything’s in the bag, she’ll be fine except her horns are having a bit of a growth spurt so she might be a little fussy but you’ll be fine, she’s fine. Thank you both so much this will just be such a help alright goodbye” and as quick as lightning they were gone.
“What the!” Rayla stood from the table instantly frustrated “They just saddled us with a babe all day. Callum, I don’t know what I’m doing with a babe, you shouldn’t have taken her”
He slowly turned to her “Look at her, she’s sooooooo cuuuuuute, her horns are so itty bitty” he went to touch one and recoiled his hand. “Oww sharp, wow, that seems hazardous”. Rayla rolled her eyes “Yeah they have to be sharp they break the skin when they grow in” Callum looked at her a little horrified. “it’s not as bad as it sounds. They just cry more”
Callum carried her over and sat across the table, “well right now she seems so happy and sweet” He was cooing it at her. Rayla realized she’d never seen him hold a baby before. He seemed like he’d done before. She watched curiously as she finisher her tea and toast and had another piece of fruit. “so, what are we going to do then?”
He thought about it for a moment “I mean we could try taking her somewhere but she’s not walking so it’s probably better we stay in. I bet there are toys in the bag. She seems like such a happy baby, we’ll just hang out for the day. Hey, we took care of a baby dragon for weeks, one afternoon with a little elf should be a breeze”
Rayla was convinced he just jinxed them because moments after the said it Rhalee started fussing. He got up to try to bounce and walk her, things escalated. “What did you do!” she accused.
“Nothing! She just got upset, look in the bag see what’s in there” He set it on the table for her. “uuuuh here it’s a rattly toy!” She wiggled it around in front of the baby. The noise seemed to relax her voice and she quieted and reached for the toy “Ha I did it!” Rayla handed the baby the little colorful plush animal. “oh see, it’s ok wee one” The little girl shook it a few times and then threw it and screamed again.
Callum panicked “Try something else, maybe there’s a binky?” Rayla kept digging.
She stopped and looked at him, “what the, what’s a binky?” she was genuinely confused.
“You know a Binky you put it in their mouths, they suck on it. Do elves not use them?” He was getting exacerbated trying to sooth and bounce the girl.
“oooooooooooooh, you mean a dummy?”
“Uh, yeah sure, just grab something!”
She dug again “ah there ye are you beauty!”
The pacifier lasted much longer than the rattle toy. Long enough for them to relax and try to clean up breakfast when things took a turn again. The next two hours turned out similarly, trying things and seeing their inevitable failure. Confusing each other, he would say diaper she would say nappy. It lead to some frustrating bickering. Finally, the baby was asleep for a nap. The two of them tiptoed as quietly as they could from the room and downstairs. Both releasing the breath they were holding.
“You did good” He patted her back.
“Haha sure I did. I’ve trained as an assassin, climbed cliff faces and fought evil mages. This was about as stressful.”
“Yeah, and I still think you did great all things considered” He leaned forward and kissed her before he walked over and plopped into the comfiest chair in the living area. She watched him for a few moments. He closed his eyes and looked content and happy. She thought about the way he’s looked holding the babe. Even when freaking out he held her securely, moved fluidly. It seemed to come to him naturally. She knew he liked children, so did she, but if they didn’t know how to walk then she didn’t know what to do with them. When they were 16 they were given a talk about ‘sandwiches’ by Amaya and Jani after there was a compromising situation involving hands and mouths in a garden shed. Even then it was brought up that they may not even be able to have children but still needed to be responsible and etc. It had stuck with Rayla. When she was pursuing a career as an assassin she hadn’t really thought about children or at least assumed it wouldn’t be in her future. But she kept thinking about it and then before they got married she had asked him. Would he be ok if they could never have a child. He had just looked sad and said being with her will always be enough. They’ve been married for 6 months and the topic hasn’t been brought up.
Rayla walked over and sat on the ottoman in front of him. “Hey Callum?” he opened his eyes and smiled.
“yeah?” She loved that sweet goofy smile.
“Do you want to have a baby?” She said it plainly, trying to sound as neutral as possible. She wanted an honest answer.
He nervously chuckled “wha… like now no, that was pretty exhausting I don’t think we’-”
“I know. Not now, but soon or later or whenever” she resisted the urge to fidget nervously.
“Yes, my answer if yes” he said it confidently before turning apologetic “But you know… I meant what I said Rayla, I love you it’s… we’re enough”. She smiled and kissed him.
“Not today… or tomorrow… or probably not for a few years, eventually, let’s try, ok?” He just nodded, his face was happy, surprised and sincere all at once. She squeezed his hand and moved to stand up and do the dishes. Before she could get far he stood and held her from behind. It was an emotionally intimate moment. He kissed and nuzzled her neck.
“I love you Rayla” Then… Screaming! Peace was shattered. “YOU GET THE BOTTLE” He ran upstairs and she sighed.

Ok that WAS NO a drabble…. that became a oneshot XD HAHA

Hey, Love your BallumSex cannons. Can you do some more with Top Callum and Bottom Ben. Some where Ben can't believe how big Callum is. And them being really kinky about it Thank you :)
Hmm I can see like size kink but idk how much other kink will come into this (but rest assured I have at least 2 other kinky Ballum asks in my inbox so it will be done.  :D
(Headcanons under the assumption all the did was jerk each other off and very quick blowjob in the park because it makes it more interesting here.)
Objectively Ben knew Callum was big that night in the park.
Like, the thing felt HEAVY in his hand.
But it was dark and heated and fast and dirty and the most he got out of it was trying to wrap his lips around it.
Of course Callum had come, not embarrassingly fast, but fast enough Ben didn’t nearly have enough time to really process what his dick felt like, tasted like, smelled like, and just how big it truly was.
When they’re finally together he gets his chance, they’re kissing on the couch, somehow lazy and heated.
“Callum your arm is digging into my hip.”
Ben looks at his boyfriend and he sees him blush, then feels two hands grab his ass.
“That’s not your arm is it...” Ben says, gulping as Callum shakes his head, clearly a bit shy still.
Ben drops his head to Callum’s chest and groans, sends out a thanks to whatever god deemed him worthy of a boyfriend that was both as nice as Callum was, and blessed with a humongous cock.
Ben’s a size queen, so sue him he knows what he likes.
He’s had guys that were big before, a nice 7 or 8 inches, once even a 9 inch bloke from India that made Ben act like a little bitch in heat over his prick.
But Callum, he doesn’t know if his brain is going to turn to mush as he stares at it through Callum’s slacks.
His hand comes over it and strokes him through the pants, making Callum moan almost as much as Ben does.
His hands shake as he undoes the zipper and pulls Callum’s pants down around his thighs, watching that massive cock spring free.
Ben’s just, in awe of it’s size.
Callum is by far bigger than any man he’s been with before, for fucks sake he’s bigger than some porn stars he’s watched in his favorite category (big cock, obvi)
“You alright?”
“Yes just, bloody hell Callum, you’ve got a monster between your legs...”
Callum gets shy at that, blushing.  “Is it too big?  I know Whit said before that it was, uh, scary.”
Ben reaches out and grabs hold of Callum’s cock, whining when he realizes that his hand just barely wraps around it fully, if it were any thicker his fingers would just barely reach.
“Callum, I need you to understand that you have the prettiest, hugest, most mouthwatering cock I’ve ever seen in my life and if I don’t suck it and ride it right this moment I think I might actually die.”
Callum blushes deeper at that, but he seems happy that Ben isn’t scared off by his size.
Ben wonders how Callum is going to react when he has someone that truly enjoys that size for all its worth.
“Ok, fuck this, off the couch, out of the clothes, I need you on the bed for this.”
Callum complies and when Ben’s sitting over his boyfriend on the bed once more he reaches for his edible lube (because of course he has that) and starts slathering it on Callum’s hard cock.
He holds the base steady and that’s when it hits him.  He takes his other hand and places it above that hand on the shaft.
There’s still more cock even with both his hands on the shaft.
“Fucking shit...”
Ben can’t control himself any longer and dives in, taking what’s left in his mouth and sucking like a man possessed.
He hears Callum gasping and moaning, and it’s so incredibly hot, but what’s crazier is that he can tell he’s got at least a good 4 inches in his mouth before his lips touch his hand.
For a moment Ben thinks he might actually cry.
He just starts going to town sucking Callum off, using both hands (Both hands!!!) to jerk his boyfriend off fully.
“Fuck, Ben, that feels amazing...”
Ben doesn’t say that his mouth is literally watering and would have been more than enough to lube Callum’s cock alone.
He sucks to the head, lips gathering the foreskin and tugging it, even getting a bit risky and gently, very gently, grabbing it with his teeth which makes Callum moan harder.
After that he slowly pulls the foreskin back and works on the head.
His hole twitches at the thought of taking this inside him, his mouth is having a bit of a go trying to get it to fit.
If he has to buy a dildo training kit to work up to taking every glorious inch of his boyfriend he will, he’s going to get all of that inside him.
Stopping for a moment he moves up to kiss Callum, wanting to reassure him that this isn’t just about his massive cock, evne if his brain is kind of hyperfocusing on that aspect right now.
Ben’s never worried about his own size, mostly becaue he’s a power bottom, but he’s got a respecteble 7 inches or so, but next to Callum’s massive manhood even he looks tiny.
“Callum, Cal, I need you to know, I want to ride you til I drain every last drop out of those huge balls (because Callum’s got some grapefruits on him too), but it might take a bit because you are just, bloody insanely large.  But I like it, I really, really like it, ok?”
Callum nods, kissing Ben and smiling.  “Glad you aren’t freaked out.”
“Callum if you knew gay men better you’d understand how funny that question is.  But yes, I love you, and I love this cock.”
Ben goes back to blowing Callum after they kiss for a bit, but he grabs the lube again and begins to finger himself.
It’s been a while since he’s had a good fuck, especially anything close to Callum’s size, but he’s a trooper and he wants it really really bad.
After a while of trying to get the angle right he concedes he could use some help.
Besides Callum’s hands are frankly massive as well and he’s pretty sure a few of those fingers will do more to open him than his own, evne if they’re less skilled.
So he flips around, wagging his ass in his boyfriend’s face as he keeps sucking his cock.
“Mind a little help?”
Callum lubes up his fingers, surprised at the pleasant smell of the lube (”It’s strawberry”) and starts to work on Ben’s ass.
Ben’s moans are muffled by having that fat prick in his mouth, but it’s still enough to make Callum even harder, cock leaking directly onto Ben’s tongue with more precum.
By the time Callum has three fingers sliding nicely into his lover, Ben has managed to get about halfway to three quarters of Callum down his throat.
Even with having no gag reflex its tough, and the position isn’t right, but Ben promises himself he’s going to start training with some dildos for his mouth to if he has to, he just wants to be able to have all of Callum in him.
Ben breaks away, thankful for the reprieve as his jaw was beginning to hurt, and moves up to kiss Callum as he lubes his cock  again.
“Should I, uh, you know, get on top?” Callum asks, earnest and uncertain.
“Normally, I’d say sure, but with this big boy,” Ben chuckles as he strokes Callum’s cock, “I think I need to be in control.”
Callum nods dutifully and Ben moves back, rocking his ass on Callum’s dick, letting it slide between his cheeks so that both the shaft and his hole are completely covered in lube.
He’s going to have to change these sheets first thing in the morning.
“Can you just, hold the base so it’s steady, right?” Ben asks, arching up on his knees.
Callum does as asked, using his other hand to help Ben steady some, or maybe just an excuse to touch him.
Ben moves against the blunt head of Callum’s cock and groans, feels it stretching him just to take that.
“Fuck, fuckkkkk,” Ben moans as he keeps pressing until finally the head pops past his tight ring.
he can feel his hole stretched taut, muscles trying to close but unable to thanks to the girth keeping him open.
Ben hears Callum hiss in pleasure and he slaps a hand on his chest.
“Just, gimme a minute to adjust, shit...”
“Just take it slow, we don’t have to do this right now if you don’t want.”
“I want, I very much bloody want Callum.”
“Okay, I just don’t want ya getting hurt.”
“Trust me, I know my limits.  I’m not taking it all tonight, by far.  I gotta work up to that.  So lucky you, I’m gonna need a lot of practice.”
They both laugh at that, smiling and kissing as Ben adjusts to the intrusion.
Over the next five or ten minutes Ben slowly works more of Callum’s impressive length inside him, until he’s about halfway.
“Halfway, yeah?  Fuck, that name was more apt than I thought.”
Callum rolls his eyes at that, giving Ben a little pat on the bum too.
“Ok, I think this is about all I can take, roll over?”
They exchange positons, Callum over Ben now, still inside him, the movement making them both moan.
“OK, ok, take your hand and put it here,” Ben says, making Callum grab his own dick about two inches from where it’s lodged in Ben.
“Just, keep your hand there and you can fuck me, with that much of your dick.  I can take that much right now, just, try not to do any more than that okay?”
“Are you sure?”
“If it’s too much I’ll stop you.  Just, trust me Callum.”
Callum does, and he bends down to lay a kiss on Ben’s lips before drawing back out and going back in.
Ben’s so incredibly tight that Callum can barely stand it.
Callum is so incredibly large that Ben thinks he might cum on the spot.
The strokes are slow and measured, cautious, but Ben’s thankful for it because he feels split open on every thrust.
The burn is intense, but with Callum’s girth he can’t help but drag over Ben’s prostate with every thrust in and out which offsets it all with bursts of white hot pleasure.
Ben loses time for a while, the pleasure and stretch and the feel of Callum’s hand on his hip to ground him swirling together.
Callum is careful never to go past the limit Ben set, evne as he speeds up, his own hunger growing.
“I think I got a hang of where the limit is.  I’m gonna take off my hand okay?”
Ben barely evne hears him but he nods.
Callum starts really plowing him then, but he’s not getting more than he had before, just faster, harder.
Ben’s eyes roll up into the back of his head as Callum really doesn’t even need skill at this point, he just has to press into Ben and he’s a moaning, mewling mess.
A low whine breaks from Ben’s throat, turning into a high pitched Keen as Callum lifts his ankles over his shoudlers and really starts hitting him deep.
“More, gimme more.  I wwant that big fucking cock Callum!”
“No Ben, you said to be cautious.  You aren’t taking all of me tonight.”
“PLease, I need ti fuck!”
“No.”
Ben is begging for it like a cockslut after that, almost crying for Callum to give him all of it, but Callum never does, and later Ben will be thankful for that since he’d be wrecked if he tried to take it all tonight.
So lost in pleasure is Ben that he doesn’t evne notice his orgasm sneaking up, only that his own pleasure is building higher and higher.
Callum’ groaning and grunting and the sunds and the feel and all of it just becomes too much and Ben is coming untouched, screaming as the orgasm rocks his body.
His hole is practically convulsing, but it’s so filled by Callum it can’t barely move, which seems to create a feedback loop of sensations that drives the orgams on longer, milking Callums’ cock.
“Fuck, Ben!” Callum spills over then, the pressure on his cock too much as he pumps Ben full.
They both collapse after that, a tangled mess of limbs, sweaty and sticky bodies clinging together as they try to catch their breath.
Its about five minutes before either of them can speak, but finally Ben manages “I feel like I’ve been impaled.”
There’s a soft laugh after it though so Callum doesn’t worry too much.
“Was it...  good for ya?” Callum asks, still out of breath.
Ben turns to Callum with slightly glazed eyes.  “If it were any better I think I might have passed on.  I’d be in one of those pine boxes of yours tomorrow.  Here lies Ben Mitchell, fucked to death by Callum Highway’s massive fucking prick.”
“Shut up!”  Callum shoves Ben playfully.
“Ben’s entire insides had been rearranged by that monster cock.  Reports say Mr. Highway was arrested for smuggling a lethal weapon in his pants.”
Callum hides his face, laughing more than he has in years, feeling lighter and better than he has either.
And Ben, Ben feels so fucked out that hes not sure he can work tomorrow.
He might not evne be able to walk
“Seriously, they should knight your cock Callum, for services to the country.”
“It’s only serving one man now.”
“I will gladly be the sheathe for your blade good knight, the throne for your-”
“Ben, shut up.”
Ben smiles, kisses Callum.  He can get used to this.

Hi! I saw your posts about Ballum and I love how detailed and interesting each response or theory about them is (and accurate I believe). Considering it’s been heavily hinted at that Ben won’t stay legit what do you think about the idea of Callum switching sides instead? Most likely not on purpose but he could get dragged into crime or step up and do something illegal to help/protect Ben in a moment of panic (or love?) I’d love to hear your opinion :)
hello!!! thank you!! i’m glad you’re enjoying them!! idk how accurate they are in terms of canon, but certainly accurate in my head lmao
personally i LOVE the idea of criminal callum!!! i would much rather see criminal callum and all the conflict - particularly internally, bc callum certainly isn’t criminal material rn is he lmao - that would come with that than morally uptight policeman callum! i would also Love to see criminal bfs ben and callum where callum is doing dodgy shit like ben but still insists on having Morals (meaning threatening to throw children off of a bridge is very much off the table) and being a generally Nice Guy (i accidentally mistyped Nice Gay and like.... i’m not wrong) and there’s still that nice guy/bad guy dynamic but behind the scenes callum is not the angel everyone thinks he is just like.... it would be so delicious...... like god you know that scene where callum went out of his way to find and threaten leo??? give me that again, that was IT honestly i would take that over copper callum any day
and like it would make for such good content !!!!!! oh my god!!!!!! just imagine callum being forced into a corner and snapping and battering someone and having to turn to ben to help him bc he doesn’t know what to do and he’s freaking out and ben having to basically cover his ass and stop him from handing himself in to the police and all the conflict bc callum would be like ‘what have i done, my career is ruined, and now i’ve dragged ben back into this too, he’s gonna hate me’ and being really cut up abt it and ben having to essentially talk him down and reassure him that it’s fine, that he doesn’t mind and that everything’s gonna be fine and this doesn’t make him a bad person and that ben doesn’t hate him etc etc like????? it would be so GOOD please @ ee i’m beggin u (i actually can kind of see this happening to a certain degree w leo but that also might just be wishful thinking lmao)
or like you said, callum being dragged into it, or basically being given very little choice if he wants to save ben’s ass!!! callum doing things he never thought he’d do or even be capable of doing bc he loves ben so much that letting anything happen to him when he can somehow prevent it is straight up not an option!! the hurt/comfort of it being something that’s genuinely out of ben’s control!! or the angst of this situation being brought on bc ben was being reckless and unnecessarily getting himself in some kind of dangerous situation!! god i would kill for it honestly like when callum stood up for himself to stuart and ben during the stag (and to stuart again after the wedding) and then when he threatened leo it was the best thing ever like i love soft nice kind callum but i want to see Spicy ‘i have a backbone and i’m not afraid to use it’ callum too!! gimme it ee!!
and let’s not forget that callum’s whole introduction to the show in the first place was him being involved in a robbery and shooting mick so like.... it’s certainly not as though he doesn’t have it in him to do dodgy, criminal, violent things, is it? as ‘out of character’ as that might have been/seemed, he still did it. and he was in the army!! and he saw action while he was there!! the whole reason he came back to the show after his initial stint was bc he had been injured by shrapnel trying to save people from a bomb!!! like i know it’s very easy to forget bc of how he comes across but callum is in no way a stranger to violence or dodgy shit, u know? esp w his upbringing, too. like callum has never been squeaky clean, not since he was introduced to the show, and i would give anything to see THAT side of callum explored more bc that is far more interesting to me than this weird 'we all Must become law abiding citizens now’ turn they’ve had him go in (which is why i so desperately want this whole cop callum sl to be a plot device to launch into another sl, particularly one to do w callum’s ptsd)
but honestly, do i think they will ever give callum a full blown criminal-centric plot? no. he’s supposed to be the nice to ben’s naughty, and considering just HOW opposite they are on the spectrum in that sense i doubt they’ll ever just straight up have callum turn ben-level dodgy on us. that said, there are rumours that he does attack leo at some point after what he’s trying to do to whit comes to light so that would be very interesting to see play out, esp considering callum’s newfound desire to become a policeman (key word being rumours tho), and also this is a soap we’re talking abt and aside from maybe children, no character keeps their nose clean forever so callum’s bound to be involved in SOMETHING dodgy at some point (and like i said, it’s not like he hasn’t already proved himself capable of being dodgy, is it?) so hopefully we will see callum doing dodgy shit one day!!!

IM GONNA MCFREAKIN LOSE IT holy SHIT you never cease to impress!!!! im reading the end of the newest chapter just like,,,, callum has realized how young the vamp is, knows it can talk, is starting to realize "holy shit this town really just tortured a kid out of his mind, huh?" and at the very end the vamp just rubbing its face against the blanket crying in relief like. can you imagine callum just watching it sob over such a small kindness and act like an abused /person/? and having to ask--
(Part2) -- is a vampire REALLY just a reanimated corpse? or were they people too? how many 'people' has he killed, not knowing they were thinking, feeling, terrified, angry people?? also i'm so excited for if the vamp actually talks!! like callum does something super small or even kind of cruel because he's annoyed and the vampire just stutters out a thank you and it just sinks in that he is the only kindness this vamp has ever known, and how many like him are out there?? im losing it fam skjdsk -whimsy
WAIT. WHIMSY. I WAS READING UR TAGS!!!! I followed the reblogs, and I was losing my collective shit watching you freak out, omg xDDDD THANK YOOUUU!!! I always ALWAYS need ppl to yell with! And I am so glad you enjoyed it!!! And YES. YES I IMAGINE THAT. One day u will all get to see. :3 xDD IM SO GLAD that y’all are interested in Callum’s growth as well. Cause yeah, that realization that some vampires are people is going to rock his fucking world
It’s gonna be a whole big deal when it switches from ‘it’ pronouns to ‘he’ for the poor little vamp. And I am absolutely fucking pumped xDDD

Wait, the Dragon Queen isn’t dead. Her eyes have just been closed for a week and a half? Well, that was a scare and a half. Don’t whiplash me like that show. Damn… The elf’s name is Ibis and he’s a Skywing Elf. That makes five kinds we’ve found out about so far in the show, even if Aaravos’s species has yet to be named. And the queen’s name is Zubeia. That’s getting saved in my brain now.
Zym’s not ready to see his mother yet. I can understand as this is a big thing to have to do. But seeing the Dragon Queen… She’s magnificent. Ezran is trying to reach out to her, but it doesn’t seem to be working. And Rayla’s run off now. Oh, this is the place where her parents ran away from. Now I get why she ran off. This is hard for her too.
Soren actually freaking made it to the Storm Spire. I’m in awe he got there relatively quickly. He went all night to get there, and then he can’t even make it all the way up because he can’t cast the spell needed to make it up to the top. Ezran found him and brought him to Callum and Rayla, Callum pulling off a clutch Ventus Spiralis to get Soren’s breathing back. And Soren comes bearing news of what happened the night before. Can you not with the slurping though? That’s unnecessary, Soren, even if you are being a major help with information.
Looks like Callum is looking to see what he can learn from Ibis. I like that he’s still being proactive with learning magic. Ibis seems surprised that Callum can do magic and is willing to tell him one thing. He’s telling them to leave to keep Zym safe. Well, not what I was expecting. And then homeboy really just flies away and leaves them. Everyone is dipping this season. Incredible.
Callum told Rayla was Ibis told him, and while Rayla agrees that they should get Zym out of there, she’s going to stay and defend Zubeia. Callum actually got mad that Rayla isn’t going with them. This issue I feel is both a mixture of pride but also something else. I think this goes deeper than even her parents.
Oh, Callum remembered the spell Lujanne did to see into the past. Historia Viventum. Another spell used by Callum. Not sure if this one is permanent due to the fact the Moon Opal had to be destroyed for it to be used, but still. A look into the past!
So, it looks like Rayla’s parents didn’t actually run. They did stay and defend the Egg when everyone else fled. And they stood their own against Viren for a bit, Viren even getting kicked in the face and I enjoyed seeing that immensely. Viren got the upper hand, and if not for some quick thinking by Rayla’s mother, he would have destroyed the egg. He didn’t, and I assume Rayla’s parents are imprisoned like Runaan is, but the fact is that Zym is alive because of them. And whatever choice Rayla will make will be her own, not trying to make up for what her parents did.
Soren is out here making the big speeches now. I’m honestly so proud of him this season. He went from just listening to his father to taking a stand and wanting to help stop him. That took courage. And his speech is true; Viren will just keep trying until he gets what he wants, so better to stop him early when he’s less powerful and more likely to fall than later when he amasses more power.
Ibis came back! And someone else is there. It’s Amaya and the other Sunfire Elf. Her name is Janai, and she brought all her troops to the base of the Storm Spire. It looks like they’ll be the first line of defense against Viren’s army, and taking revenge over Viren destroying their home. Ibis and Ezran are going to get more reinforcements, and honestly? They’ll need all the help they can get. This battle is going to decide a hell of a lot, and I hope Callum, Rayla, and everyone else can pull through a victory. They’ll need to.
Viren’s army is storming the Storm Spire. It does look like the shady council member and Claudia weren’t transformed, but everyone else was. Their numbers are great. This really will be a final battle, huh?

my thoughts on season 2 of the dragon prince
it’s been almost 10 days since the season came out and i’m on my third watch of it and of course i’m writing about it instead of writing my paper bc i have thoughts and emotions and like just about everyone else i want to talk about them
(i’m writing this while watching instead of writing my paper)
(spoilers for the first three episodes ahoy)
first episode
Amaya is still the best and nothing will change that i am very gay
Lujanne. Just. Lujanne. I love her
I also love Ellis, I’m so glad she stuck around for a few more episodes and i hope she comes back at some point
“Ezran! You killed the dragon prince!”
my first thought when Rayla was being lured by the sleep spell and grabbed the rose was that she was just being extra dramatic for some reason
the fight scene with Soren and Rayla was also great! Rayla “sweeping the legs” and getting caught was a good throwback
Viren’s character is getting interesting
oh also, Lujanne and Callum’s conversation about magic was just sad. I know Lujanne isn’t intending to be rude, it’s just how she grew up, but it’s still sad to see her shut Callum down so hard :(
second episode
Claudia and Soren have me on edge this whole episode
also tbh Callum’s little not-so-secret crush is actually kinda cute
Soren bothered me in this episode, I mean I understand why and all but still
Rayla being all super ninja assassin and scary aslkdghjklh
Callum please trust Rayla more
Lujanne is actually me in giving advice; my friends go to me all the time (i’m happy to listen and help if i can) but i never know what the heck to say so i also spew out some bs that kinda only half helps
Viren’s confrontation with the mirror originally had me thinking that he was talking about himself when he was saying it was useless (it would have been some good symbolism bc he’s looking at his reflection and who knows maybe it is)
Callum finding out about Harrow actually made me feel bad for Rayla more than him bc she was the one who wanted to tell him (as it was kinda her duty to him) and he still had to find out from someone else
third episode
still dying over the Rayla and Callum and Harrow thing
hhhh SOREN BEING A GOOD BIG BROTHER they have such good interactions i can relate to that (awkward big brothers who want to help their upset younger sister but don’t know how is something i know well)
Callum trying to tell Ezran about Harrow and Ezran thinking it’s about Zym (also rewatching it Callum starts off saying the same thing Harrow did when he had to tell him about Sarai) (and then Ezran asking if it’s the talk about sandwiches and Callum’s little freak out) Callum is such a good big brother
the sibling writing is so good in this i could write paragraphs about it
and Callum finally understanding why Rayla couldn’t tell him just please i’m so glad he’s seeing more that she’s trustworthy
Callum beginning to trust Rayla more hurts
“I truly have enjoyed you all sneaking past my defenses and desecrating this sacred place these past few days” LUJANNE
Rayla and berries just seem to be a recurring trend
again a good fight scene with Soren and Rayla
i’m glad Claudia at least feels some regret (whereas Soren i’ve felt like punching this whole season so far)
i really want to punch Soren dude why would you attack a ten year old girl?!?!?!??! ASDGASIDGH
CORVUS!!!! YEAH!!!!! SOREN!!!!! NO!!!!!!
don’t think I didn’t catch that song reference with Ellis
love the piano for the starry elf man
still feel like punching Soren
final thoughts on the first three episodes
i don’t like the focus on romance, i didn’t like it before and i still don’t like it now; sure i enjoy the interactions and how it shows their characters, but i never like it when shows introduce romance so early on (i was fine with Callum’s crush on Claudia being introduced and i was okay with it showing up again but i didn’t like how Claudia acted bc to me it felt like she was taking advantage of it)
I Want To Punch Soren Blease Let Me Punch Him
Viren is turning out to be a much interesting character than in the first season; i feel like he’s not actually a villain as much as i think he truly believes he’s doing the right thing (antagonistic definitely, but i wouldn’t call him evil) (though his treatment of his kids so far has been terrible)
at this point i’ve stopped shipping anything in the show; sure raydia is aesthetically pleasing but at this point i don’t think i’ll be really shipping anything that much

The Plan -WillNE
Anonymous said to simplysdmn:Ok could I please request a Stephen or will imagine (you pick!!) where they meet you after the sidemen match and you’re also a big youtuber and they like you or whatever but are kinda shy about it idk something like that please and thank you!!
A/N:I really liked this idea and I hope you liked the way it turned out, I chose Will because I’m more familiar with him but I kinda included Stephen too :), anyways enough rambling! Enjoy!
Masterlist
Ask/Request
Once the match had ended, all the players were evacuated off the pitch and all the people that invaded the pitch were safely evacuated also, we were told that all people with VIP holders were allowed back into hall were we could celebrate with the players. I came with Stephen to support his friend Will but I was also supporting a lot of the other players that I knew from Youtuber events.
I, myself was a Youtuber with 2 million subscribers making skits just like my mate Stephen. I think that’s why we were best friends, we were compatible on so many things but we always made the decision that we could never date as it would ruin the friendship we had.
Although he was always certain that he could match me up with his friend Will. I was the sister that he always mentioned. It got quite annoying at times but I didn’t mind when I knew he was talking to Will. He’d always mention me on the phone which I wouldn’t mind but I always thought what it would be like if I met him in person.
Well today was the actual day I’d meet him person and to tell the truth I wasn’t
excited as I was supposed to be causing Stephen to question why I was acting strange. “Y/N, are you alright? You’re not as excited as you were earlier.”
“Yeah, well yesterday I wasn’t as excited as I was yesterday because, quite frankly, I’m shy. And you know that!” He laughed as we took the elevator up to the hall.
“You’d want to cut out the shyness because you’re about to meet him.” I sharply started touching up my makeup, making him break into more laughter.
The elevator stopped and I was already engulfed by the smell of sweat and strong cologne.
“Y/N!” I looked up and saw the bright smile of Calfreezy.
“Oh my God, Callum, you’re suffocating me and I literally slept on couch last night, the fuck is wrong with you?” I laughed at him once he loosened his grip on me.
“See, there’s something called adrenaline and really that’s fucking pumping around my body.”
“I forgot, I apologise,” I rolled my eyes while giggling a bit. “Anyways, congratulations! I’m very proud of you and your shitty knee.” We laughed and talked a bit more before I was pulled away by Stephen.
“Sorry Cal but you know my plan, well I’m about to go through with it.” I rolled my eyes and said my goodbye. On the way to wherever he was dragging me, I greeted some people that I recognised but finally we had reached Stephen’s beloved destination.
“Jesus Christ Steve, if you dragged me here for no reason and make me run out of breathe I’m going to kill you.” I threw him daggers until he nodded forward. I looked up and saw Will. I looked back over at Stephen making sure to send death threats through my eyes.
“Uh, hi! My name’s Will and you must be Y/N Y/L/N?” He chuckled softly and my surprised face.
“Yeah, that’s me! Nice to meet you.” I said quietly.
“Y/N, here is a Youtuber herself.” Stephen butted in trying to get the conversation flowing.
“And so I’ve heard, you never shut up about her Stephen.” Will laughed.
“Yeah, it gets quite annoying doesn’t it?” I laughed along.
“Sometimes but now I’ve realised he actually has quite some point to bring you up.” I looked away and laughed softly, embarrassment written all over my face.
“Oh God, I suppose you’ve watched my videos too?”
“I have actually and they’re pretty decent. I really like them, they’re better than Stephen’s.” We both laughed while Stephen scoffed.
“You guys are dicks, but do you want drinks?” Stephen asked.
“Yeah, coke is fine for me.” I replied
“I’ll go with a Corona.” Will replied.
Will talked for a little more until it was time we had to go onto separate buses to get to the after party.
Once we got on the bus, Stephen bombarded me with questions. It was quite funny when he got excited but I responded to every question he had.
“So the plan is that you talk to him for the rest of night play hard to get but give him his number before you leave.”
“Stephen, you do realise you can give him my number?” I shook my head and chuckled.
“I could do that but it’ll better that way!” He kept trying to get his idea across until I confided.
“Fine, on one condition. You don’t bother me unless I ask for you. Deal?” I stuck out my hand and he reluctantly put his hand out.
“Ok I have a condition too, you go through with this plan, I’ll give you £500.” I smiled broadly and shook his hand.
“You’re annoying.”
“You’re worse.” We laughed. We talked a bit more until we reached the destination.
He walked me towards a group of the guys that were laughing and there he was standing there with all his glory. All it took was one look and a smile in my direction to make me turn around and run away. Sometimes my shyness overpowered me and right now that’s exactly what was happening.
“Remember! £500 is on the table!” Stephen sang in my ear, I muttered a few profanities making him shoot me a smile.
“I fucking hate you,” I mouthed at him while walking to Will.
“Hey you.” I poked his side.
“Hello! How was your bus ride?” He pulled me in for a hug.
“Not bad except for the fact that Stephen is a nuisance.” He agreed and laughed with me.
“Let’s go inside? Go get a drink?” I nodded. We walked in together, the pounding of the speaker already vibrating through my body. We reached the bar and we both sat down on a stool.
“What are you going to have?”
“I’ll have a gin & tonic.”
“I’ll have the same.” We had a small race on who was going to pay first and he won but it was all laughs later.
“I mean I’m not going to be able to living off of sponsorships forever so Youtube need to get their shit together.” I said
“Yeah, I completely agree but you’ve also got to see it from the advertisers perspective, like I understand why they don’t want their ads on certain things.” I nodded in agreement. A couple of drinks later the shyness had worn away and I was finally little more open to talking to him.
“Oh my God! I love this song!” False Alarm by Matoma started playing in the background and I started nodding my head to it without knowing.
“Ah, no way! Same!” I smiled and started singing along.
“Dance with me.” He said.
“Oh no, Will. I can’t dance for shit! I told you!”
“Oh come on, you won’t give me your number and you won’t dance with me. So unfair Y/N! So unfair!” I sighed playfully.
“Ok fine! Just this once!” His grin took up half his face and then stuck out his hand, I took and let him walk me to the dance floor.
I tapped my foot along to the song and sand along.
“Come on! You’ve got to have something in you!”
“I dont know, maybe!” I moved my hips to the music and let loose. Not too soon the song was over.
“Y/N! You’re a liar!”
“What? I wasn’t going to be stuck up! And I’m not that good.”
“Well, in my eyes it was quite beautiful.” I scoffed and look away the shyness kicking in again.
“You’re too much.” I giggled.
“You’re too cute.”
“Do you say this to all the girls you meet?” I laughed.
“No, just the ones that I think deserve it.”
“So I deserve your cheesy compliments?”
“Only in return for your number.”
“And if I don’t?”
“No more cheesy compliments. I can tell you like it!”
“Ok fine you win.” I rolled my eyes and handed him my phone, unlocking it and opening the contacts app.
The night finally arose, or morning as it was almost 4am. The night was full of laughters, smiles and giggles.
“I expect a text message tomorrow afternoon Mr Lenney.”
“You’ve got it Ms Y/L/N.” He gave me a tight hug and I made my way to the taxi I was taking with Calfreezy and got a drunk phone call from Stephen when we got home.
“Well, how did it go?” He slurred.
“Aren’t you sleeping at his house?”
“Yeah but he’s already asleep and I’ve got the couch so be quiet.” I giggled at his stupidity.
“Oh alright then, I’m going to be honest and say I actually had so much fun.” He started freaking out on the other side and it took me so long to get him to calm down.
“I’m going to need you to calm down and not wake up the whole building, alright?”
“Oh, yeah I forgot, sorry. You said you had fun! So I was right! I knew you’d like each other. Most importantly did you give him your number?”
“Yes. I gave him my number.” I rolled my eyes but a smile was on my face.
“Ok great! See you in a couple of days then?”
“You got it! Sleep tight Steve.”
“You too!” And with that I fell asleep with the biggest smile on my face.

I saw something similar to a character development, but more of what they were ‘supposed’ to be and how they ended up. so here’s my take on it.
karleigh 🌻 (karls): she originally started out as a classic aries type of character (lmao fire sign), but became waaaay softer as I worked her out…
•still obsessed with sunflowers, a Kansas piece of trash at heart. •did a lot of alternative modeling for easy cash as she was figuring life out in her early 20’s, but kind of regrets it now that she’s older and has a foster son/soon to be adoptive son (the internet’s forever). •is realizing a lot of things she thought she knew about herself are turning out to be different, is discovering herself again as she learns to really open up. •diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at 5 years old, was in remission after chemotherapy & other forms of treatment. currently has myelodysplastic syndrome. very rarely talks of this, doesn’t like talking about it at all. •would’ve gone to med school if she had the guts, but didn’t have that kind of self-confidence. she stuck to what she knew she could do best; helping others through social work (wants to work with kids in schools). •froze her eggs as a last ditch effort incase she wants children of her own in the future, doesn’t/can’t ovulate anymore. •pretty self-conscious about her music tastes (they’re not even BAD) because it seems like everyone she knows has a musical talent or connection, keeps a lot of it to herself as a result so she doesn’t inadvertently alienate herself. •is a helpful nugget who would give you the only shirt off her back if you needed it & listens to anyone’s problems at any time. •is way too trusting/kind/understanding and ends up being betrayed often or taken advantage of (& usually lets them keep doing it unintentionally because she’s too forgiving). •is a bit codependent at moments, but in the end it boils down to whether or not she cares about you 'cause if not she couldn’t care less. there are happy mediums to this for her in friendships of course, but not when it comes to love.
caitlin 🌷 (aka caity or cait): karleigh’s younger sister that was meant to be really innocent and shy, yet snarky and witty but she ended up being a total fucking sass.
•still pretty pure, didn’t lose her virginity until she was 19. (still dating the guy to this day) •was originally supposed to be a pediatric oncologist, but I really liked her more as a cardiothoracic surgeon. (she’s cutthroat, I felt it reflected her better) •is a complete smart ass. sarcasm and dry, witty quips are the languages in which she speaks. •has always been the overachieving child because she felt the need to compensate for everything her parents went through with her older siblings. (josh was a rebellious shit, karleigh was sick) •ridiculously, grossly, stupidly smart. took college courses in high school and had her associates by the time she received her diploma. •as a result graduated college with her bachelors (biochem) in two years; also played volleyball, and was president of her sorority (she’s a try-hard, w/ no life~) •currently works as an LAFD EMT while she puts herself through med school & enjoys it greatly. (ended up with her Dad’s first responder instincts/drive/“hero” complex) •not known to many (since she rarely talks about it) but is a huuuuuuuuuge sap for her boyfriend, who is the first/only guy she’s ever dated. though they’ve been exclusive for close to three years, all of what he does gives her MAD butterflies and brings out her cute, awkward traits as a result. (his phone calls, seeing texts pop up, seeing him in person. everything makes her insides go !!!!!!!) •family-oriented, but extremely career driven as well. feels the need to prove herself a lot as a female in her ruthless & competitive field so she rarely talks about a future home life she eventually desires. (has never admitted to anyone to this day that she had a dream she’d married Anderson and woke up with a stupidly cheesy grin across her face. happy-sighed infatuatedly for the duration of the day) •would never, ever, EVER say it out loud because she’s ridiculously independent and prides herself on it but would also probably follow Andy anywhere if he genuinely asked her to come with. is the type to fall hard but work her ass off for both their dreams to come true. •is certainly Karleigh’s younger sister, but now that they’ve aged into their 20’s they’re a lot closer than what they were growing up. practically best friends instead of annoying siblings. jokes that Karleigh’s her flowerchild and maybe she should’ve been the baby sister instead. •acts like a hard ass, and is incredibly strong as a person, but has moments. she shuts herself up and people out after difficult calls. cries until she feels confident she’s gotten it all out. she has a warm, sensitive soul but is rather picky as to who gets to see it. (Karleigh & Anderson basically)
ryan 🌼 (Karleigh’s AU daughter): I have two ~developments of her, one’s AU and one’s kinda canon so I’m just gonna go into AU. They do blend together at certain moments, but that’s to be expected because she’s still Ryan overall.
•grew up rather similar to a tomboy thanks to Callum & the Xinx boys. doesn’t click very well lifestyle-wise with her other cousins (mirabelle & bethany) as a result but still loves them and hangs out nonetheless. •nicknames include Ry and RJ, mostly Ry. (RJ was what her mother called her). •has a bit of a temper, quick tongue and wit. hell hath no fury like a ryan scorned. isn’t nearly as forgiving or compassionate as her mother was (to a fault), but is still a sensitive person with a lot of empathy. tries to stay reasonable and levelheaded as a result yet often finds herself blowing up here and there. •will insult you/hit you where it hurts if you humiliate or make a fool out of her. she hates feeling like an idiot so if you’re the one who caused it, you’re probably going to hear some blunt, unapologetically harsh words. •at 13, went to live with her aunt & uncle (Caitlin/Anderson) when her mom died in a freak car accident. has a voicemail Karleigh left her the morning of and to this day hasn’t deleted it. would lose her mind if she ever lost the audio for good because it’s all she has. her worst fear is forgetting what Karleigh’s voice sounds like. •finds comfort in the fact she shares a birthday with her Papa Grady, as his favorite story to tell her is how much he wanted her mother to have a baby of her own. Ry’s a living, breathing granted wish of his. Every July 11th the family throws a large party and they have a good time with it. (ryan believes they started this after her mom passed so she wouldn’t feel so alone on that day.) •rather quiet, finds it hard to make friends as easily as some people do. ryan prefers depth in her friendships and relationships. (she’s already lost the most important person in her life so meaningless acquaintances are just that to her—meaningless) •she’s a no bullshit person, has a one strike and you’re out policy. won’t blow smoke up anyone’s ass. either you mesh with her or you don’t. is an introvert so her feathers aren’t ruffled when someone doesn’t want to be friends with her, she’s usually secretively thankful. •ever since she first learned about DNA and the concept of genetics/heredity, has been absolutely fascinated with learning more about it. her major is molecular biology and she lives for it. •is in a bit of an inappropriate situation with an older family friend of her aunt and uncle, and is mortified they’ll find out and think less of her for it. (is actually being preyed upon by someone twice her age yet doesn’t exactly get that, thinks it’s a mutual 'arrangement’ of sorts. it’s not, he’s a real scummy dickweed).

wine ‘n dine
Who? Faye Jonas & William Sinclair
When? December, 2016
Where? Sinclair Home
William was making his rounds at his parent’s gala party, talking to a couple of old family friends here and there who thought dressing up in expensive clothes, drinking expensive champagne and throwing very little of them money to a random charity made them good people. He never liked these sort of parties and if he could, he’d skip them. But he knew a lot of these people were important connections for their family and for their business so he had a to play nice. He just wasn’t too into making small chat. Not while he was waiting for Faye’s arrival. He hoped she wasn’t going to bail on him, even though he wouldn’t blame her if she did. He was kind of tricking her into coming to the gala by sending her a fancy dress and a car to pick her up. He just wanted to hang out with her though and was sure the only way the night wouldn’t suck was if she was there with him. So, as he waited for her to come through the doors, he talked to some hundred year old guy and his twenty something year old wife, pretending to care about the interior decorating project they just launched on their summer home in the Hampton’s.
Faye should have been expecting something since as soon as she came close to agreeing to hanging out with William, a decorative box ended up in her possession and a dress that was probably a couple of her paychecks was just in her size. It was almost amusing, she had to give it to him. He was clever enough to even think about tricking her in the first place because if she knew it involved all this dress up, she probably wouldn’t have gone. It was plenty with Jan and Cassie’s richie rich family. Though either way, she found herself actually getting into the dress and attempting to make her hair go along with the style, which was much different than her regular jeans and ponytail. She had to remain humble and did her best to put a kind front to the older driver that seemed to be her guide to this party since really, she hadn’t known what to expect, but she definitely wasn’t expecting a champagne glass to be shoved her way as soon as she came though the doors.
William was nodding along to some boring story, trying to keep himself looking completely interested right up until he noticed his mother making a face and looking toward the doors. “Looks like we have a crasher,” she whispered to him, causing him to glance back. As soon as his eyes landed on Faye, he began to perk up. “No, no. She was invited,” he informed his mother. She began questioning him but instead of answering anything, he excused himself and headed over toward Faye. “Wow…you look beautiful,” he complimented as he got closer to her. “I’m so glad you made it tonight,” he added.
Faye awkwardly took the glass since she figured it would be rude if she didn’t, pushing her hand over the wrinkles of the dress on her stomach. For once, she was extremely thankful she spotted him. “What exactly did you have me come to?” She whispered through her teeth as soon as he came up, before exhaling a breath. “And thank you.”
William laughed a little at her immediate question. “My mother’s December charity gala,” he answered, reaching out to lightly grab her hand and lead her away from the entrance. “She has these all the time and they are always so unbearable and I always beg to skip them and she said if I ever brought a date, I’d enjoy them more. So, I thought I’d take her advice,” he explained.
Faye felt her eyes widen the slightest bit but that definitely explained the dress she stuffed herself into, which she reached up and grasped onto the side of her dress to pull up on. “You tricked me,” She accused and immediately shook her head, turning her eyes to scan the room. “Well you obviously don’t enjoy them… they’re just rich old people talking your ear off.”
William pretended to be offended by her accusation. “Tricked you? How? I asked if you’d go somewhere with me and wear this dress and you said yes. How is that tricking you?” He questioning, really playing on the innocent act. “They’re not all old,” he defended. “The gold diggers are all your age,” he added, teasing as he nodded toward a group of women that all looked like they’re just now legally allowed to drink alcohol.“
Faye "Maybe, but you left out exactly what and I just figured you had some sort of fetish.” Faye’s shoulders lifted up to shrug and her eyes moved away from the crowd up to land on him, giving him a little look. “Okay, maybe, you’ve got me there.”
William smirked and let his eyes move over, really taking her in this time. “Hm, that might also be true,” he joked, winking at her. “It’s really not all that bad,” he said, trying to sell her on the gala now. “Free booze, free food, Callum usually embarrasses the family before midnight so you know…entertainment. Slip the band a few hundreds and they’ll play something other than classical music and then mom will flip out so…more entertainment.”
Faye “Oh now you enjoy them? Bipolar much?” She said in a joking tone even if she wasn’t really joking half the time, brushing the strands of hair that framed her cheeks. “Depends… do you have something better than this fake excuse of a booze and something other than fancy cheese? And what does he do?” She asked, lifting her thinner brow as she glanced toward who she assumed was her mother. “She looks like she would blow a blood vessel if she lost it.”
William “I’m sorry…is Dom Perignon below your standards?” He questioned, a little surprised by her distaste in the champagne. “And yes, there is plenty of food here other than fancy cheese. Well, he generally gets very wasted and sleeps with someone’s wife or mistress in the coat check room,” he answered. He followed Faye’s gaze to his mother, stifling a laugh. “Yes, well…you would be surprised how well she holds herself together as she goes off on all of us the moment our guests leave.”
Faye “Dom who?” Faye asked as soon as he mentioned a name that went right over her head. “Good, because I don’t see how people can just eat straight cheese. Also, impressive for your brother to pull that… but you have a coat check room? Really?” Curling her fingers around the base of the glass she was holding for no reason, she turned to face him instead of her mother. “I almost feel sorry for you all.”
William narrowed his eyes at her a little, not sure if she was messing with him. “The champagne…it’s Dom Perignon,” he explained, tapping her glass lightly. “Of course we have a coat check room. Where else would everyone hang their coat up?” The difference in their upbringing was really beginning to show already tonight. “Feel bad for the others. I generally don’t disappoint anyone. I’m the good son.”
Faye looked down at the glass he tapped against. “Yeah, I still have no idea who that is. The only champagne I’ve really come across was the ones I’d convince Alyssa to take from her parents. I’m more of a cheap 12 dollar pack of beer.” Faye admitted, eventually laughing. “Uh, well, in my case the backseat of my car.” Which was true, a lot of her high school days were spent in the beaten up car that was once her passed mother’s. “The good one is always so uneventful though, unless he’s secretly a freak.”
William “Alright, well…it’s really good and really expensive,” he informed her. “But…if you hate it, I will have someone make a run for something you would like better,” he offered before taking a sip of his own champagne. “Well, that’s…a weird place for coats to be placed but I’m not going to question that too much,” he responded, shaking his head lightly. He smirked lightly at her comment but refrained from commenting. “Do you like dancing?”
Faye twisted her wrist around as she examined the glass in her hand, before she took a sip. “How expensive?” She asked after she swallowed, dampening her lips to savor the taste. “No… that’s okay. No need to make any runs for me.” She watched him take the drink and smiled a little, nonchantlonly looking him over as she did so. If she was gonna be stuck here, might as well enjoy the view. “It was my makeshift bedroom for awhile so, yeah, probably weird.” Moving her hand up, she pushed some hair back. “… Dancing isn’t my forte.”
William “Mm, probably…two hundred a bottle,” he answered, shrugging his shoulders a little. “Are you sure? We pay these people for a reason so they wouldn’t mind it,” he assured her. He gave her a little look when she mentioned her car being a makeshift bedroom for her and had a million questions. But this was not the time for that so he decided to save them for later. “Really? Oh, that’s not going to be good then…”
Faye felt her eyes go a little wide as soon as she named the price. “Are… you… serious?” Her eyes squinted toward the glass before back at him, her head shaking quickly in response. “No, it’s ok. They can have the night off or something.” She could tell she was pretty much out of place, not only due to upbringings they had but also her own looks. “What? Why?”
William “Alright, calm down. It’s not like I said they were a thousand a bottle.” He laughed a little at her and shook his head. “So nice to the help,” he teased slightly and decided not to point out that they were already technically working tonight. “Because I’m definitely going to insist on dancing sometime this evening.”
Faye “Two hundred bucks is a lot of money, man.” Faye insisted as she shook her head though despite her words, she took another sip. She might have talked a little trash but two hundred bucks tasted real nice. “I gotta be nice to somebody at least once, right?” She murmured, reaching up to tap on his shoulder before moving around him. “Good luck with that, because you might be the embarrassment of the night. Also, where’s this food?”
William “I guess?” It really wasn’t, not to him or his family. But he could see how it was a lot for others who didn’t have the kind of money his family had. He watched her for a moment as she walked around him, smiling a little to himself. “Why would I be embarrassed?” He questioned. “Well, allow me to show you,” he said, taking her hand and leading her toward where all of the food was laid out. “There are assigned seats at this gala. I arranged for your seat to be near mine. So, if you want to sit and eat, I’ll take you there next.”
Faye almost gave him another look as if he was insane but it also wasn’t new. His appreciation for the dollar was much different than hers, which normally annoyed her with most people she came across. “Well, because you’re going to have a terrible dancer who has no idea how to prance around. You think I stick out now? Just wait.” She said, following him when he grasped her hand, leading her the way. She then set her nearly empty glass down on one of the trays used for dirty dishes, her eyes scanning over what felt like a million options. “Well, thanks for not sitting me next to the old guy. Or wait, how old are you?” She questioned with a smirk, turning to make sure her plate got plenty full.
William made a little face at her when she mentioned sticking out. “I don’t think you’re sticking out. And if you are, who cares? You’re much more interesting sticking out then blending in with the crowd.” He narrowed his eyes at her once they got to the table of food and she made fun of him. “I’m not sure I’m going to tell you since I’m fairly certain you will just use that to make fun of me all night and every day after.”
Faye reached up and adjusted the neckline of the dress again, eventually reaching out to signal what exactly she wanted. “What? Are you actually really old?” She actually laughed at that. “Lemme guess. Forty?”
William laughed, a little amused by her guessing. “Is forty considered really old to you?” He questioned, actually curious as to what she thought was old. They had quite a bit of an age gap but he didn’t think she really had a problem with it until that moment.
Faye reached down and grabbed a cube of the cheese to pop into her mouth, licking her thumb afterwards. “Why? Are you fifty or something?”
William “Fifty? Really? Do you think I look like I’m fifty?” He questioned, actually offended by her question. He might be older than her but he is not that much older.
Faye “I mean… there are some fifty year old people out that that could pass for it.” She said as she swallowed another cube of cheesy, before being directed elsewhere once she got her plateful ready.
William “Wow. I’m not fifty, ok?” He informed her, still a little offended. “Did you get everything you want?” He asked, seeing that her plate was pretty filled up. She was probably the only person who was going to have an actual meal tonight.
Faye “Then how old are ya?” She questioned with her brow arched and her eyes narrowed in on him, wanting to know the answer already. When he asked about her plate, Faye quickly added another small piece onto the top of her plate. “Yup,” She said simply, ushering for him to lead her to wherever as she bit down on her fork to carry.
William “I’m thirty-eight,” he answered, preparing himself for whatever teasing was sure to follow. He tried to hide the amused smile on his face as she topped her plate off. “You’d think you were starving,” he teased, leading her away from all the food and toward their table.
Faye “Eh, not that as. You’ve still got the little three in front to balance that era out for you.” She said with her shoulders lifting up in a shrug, following him toward the table. “I have a big appetite, plus, I got tricked into coming here. I think I deserve it.”
William laughed at her response, shaking his head. “So glad to know you’re ok with my age,” he joked. “Alright, fine. That’s fair. Sorry for tricking you. But hey…I think you’re going to have fun tonight. And if you don’t…we can cut out early and do whatever you want.”
Faye “Though… you are now closer to being over the hill. Like, that’s your next big milestone. How surreal is that?” She joked herself, pulling the fork down toward her plate instead so she could talk properly. “You think? And I doubt you’d be up for my kind of ‘gala’.”
William “It’s not really surreal to me? I mean, I…am ok with my age? I had my youth and I’m an adult now. I have a career and my own home. I’m not in that awkward, young adult stage where I’m trying to live on my own for the first time ever and struggling to pay the bills,” he defended slightly. “What’s your kind of gala?”
Faye pursed her lips some once they reached the table she assumed was theirs, but she couldn’t really tell either. The cardholder was a way too fancy of a cursive to even make out a name. “Alright alright, you’ve got a point. Owning the age that isn’t even that bad.” Poking her tongue out toward him, she looked over the crowd again. “Usually involves peanut shells on the ground and really bad pool players trying to make an attempt at it.”
William pulled her seat out once they got to the table for her to sit down, waiting for her to sit before he could push the chair in for her. “Thank you for saying my age isn’t that bad,” he said in a sarcastic tone. “Those are the kind of bars you enjoy? Ones that are dirty?”
Faye refrained from looking to surprised or weirded out by the gesture since she was definitely used to pulling out her own chairs, but alas, she weaved her hips around the chair to lower herself down in. “You’re welcome, sir.” She added with a grin on her face, setting her plate down. “It’s not dirty. It’s just really laid back.
William smiled lightly as she sat down and then went to sit in his own, gesturing toward a waiter near by so he could grab a couple more glasses of champagne for them. "Mm, no. Peanut shells on the floor? That’s dirty. Laid back would be a normal bar without garbage lying about.”
Faye leaned up into the table as she picked at what she wanted first, taking the bite and swallowing. “Dude, no. It’s not dirty!” She then said, wiping st the corner of her mouth. “They clean it every night. But like… you get a bucket of peanuts with whatever you order and you just… toss them.”
William grabbed the champagnes off the trays as the waiter came over, setting one down in front of Faye as she defended the dirty bars she liked going to. “Why not just give two buckets? One filled with peanuts and one for trash?”
Faye “Because that takes away from the experience.” She replied as if it were matter of fact, taking a couple of bites off the quarter of her plate, eventually thanking him for the glass he grabbed.
William sipped on his champagne as he watched her eat and continue to defend the bar. “If you say so,” he conceded. “I’ve never been to a bar like that though. I’d stick out there.”
Faye actually rolled her eyes at him this time, sitting up straighter. “For real? Probably. Plaid and jeans aren’t a contrast with your suit.” Moving to take another bite, Faye eyed him again. “Are you not eating?”
William “First of all, I don’t own anything plaid. Second, I do own and wear jeans. I don’t know why people think I only ever wear suits.” He shook his head lightly at her. “No. I don’t usually attempt to eat anything at these events because generally the moment I do try, my mother interrupts and wants me to go talk to someone and the food is just wasted.”
Faye “It’s probably cause that’s all anyone might see you in?” She suggested as she pulled a sip from the champagne glass, poking a piece onto the fork as she held it up and looked at him. “Well, your mom isn’t here.”
William “Well, I own other clothes and people will see me in them one day.” He was determined to prove that to her now. He smiled lightly as she held some food up. “Wow, you’re willing to share some of your food with me?”
Faye “Always gotta prove them wrong?” She asked as she continued holding up the fork holding the piece, and once he questioned her, she shook her head some. “Hurry up and take it before I become less than generous again.”
William “I wouldn’t say always but…some of the times,” he answered. He let out a small laugh before leaning in to take the bite from her fork. “Delicious,” he commented after he swallowed the food. “Thank you for sharing.”
Faye “Maybe not always but it’s usually more than people admit,” She teased him with a shrug of her shoulders, tucking her crossed ankles back underneath the seat. She could tell most just crossed them and sat lady like and all that, but she always found that more uncomfortable and annoying than attractive. When he took the bite, she couldn’t help but laugh about it, pulling the utensil back to cut up another bite of her own. “See what you’re missing out on when you’re talking about something you don’t care about?”
William “You really like finding ways to make fun of me, don’t you?” He questioned, giving her a fake annoyed look. He really didn’t mind it but part of him was pretty sure she liked to find flaws in him since she was always so crazy about their differences. “You’re right. I am missing out but unfortunately I have to do these things. It not only helps my parents out with their events and charity fundraisers but also helps our business out.”
Faye “Eh, it’s what I do.” Faye shrugged as she continued to eat the remaining part of her plate before she licked over her lips, making sure she didn’t actually have something all over her face. “Why can’t you make time for both?” She said, turning her head to face him a bit more. “I mean… that would be reasonable.”
William “So glad we’re hanging out,” he joked in a sarcastic tone of voice. He shipped on his drink, shaking his head lightly at her. “We’re not reasonable people,” he began to explain. “You could ask us all the time why we don’t do certain things because they make more sense and the reason is…because we don’t. It’s a whole thing. We shouldn’t really get into it too much or we’d be here all night.”
Faye “You should be, you did have me stuffed in this dress and chauffeured here.” Faye replied as she leaned back in the seat she occupied so her back pressed into it, taking a sip from her glass. “Alright alright, you like things the way they are. Got it.”
William smirked a little as he looked over at her, checking her out once again. As much as he liked her dressed up like this, he did prefer her usual look more. “If you want, I could help you out of the dress later tonight,” he offered. “Yes but…that’s not to say I don’t like change in other aspects of my life.”
Faye ticked an eyebrow up immediately at his offer, almost a little amused. “Is that your move?” She asked with a tilt of her head, lips pressing together to hide the grin she was joking with. “Okay, fair, other aspects like what?”
William shrugged up one of his shoulders, glancing around the room full of people. “Maybe,” he answered, leaning into her a little. “Do I need some huge move to win you over?” He questioned. “Well, I can’t give away all my secrets that easily, Faye.”
Faye watched as he came in closer to her though kept the arch of her brow. “Eh, not really. I’m pretty easy.” She admitted as a matter of fact, leaning forward toward the table. “You can, if you really wanted to.”
William closed his eyes to take a moment for himself at her comment, his head shaking slowly. “Maybe don’t undersell yourself,” he suggested, pulling back a little from her. “Well, I don’t want to so I guess you’ll have to learn them the old fashion way.”
Faye “Relax, I was kidding.” She commented with a light shake of her head, fully amused with herself at that very point. “I’m, believe it or not, pretty pricey and in high demand.” Keeping her eyes on him as he moved his body back from her, she sighed a little dramatically. “Fine, we’ll do it the boring way.”
William “You can’t describe yourself as pretty pricey. It makes you sound like an escort,” he pointed out to her, not sure if she realized that when she said it. “How is getting to know someone by hanging out and going on dates considered boring?”
Faye “How do you know I’m not?” She commented at his response as her elbows came down against her table, resting her body against it. “Is this what this is? A date?”
William “Because I didn’t have to pay you to come here tonight,” he answered, giving her a serious look. He had to resist the urge to make a comment about her putting her elbows on the table and how it was ill mannered. He was trying to be easy breezy with her tonight. “No, no. When I ask you on a date, you’ll know it.”
Faye “Well, maybe I’m some free escort. Doing it for the good and looks or whatever.” She joked, even if it had some little truth behind it if she really thought about it. Her eyes narrowed in at his lack of a response pretty much. “Do you enjoy the whole mysterious and broody thing you got going on?”
William “A free escort?” He laughed at the ridiculousness of that. “That would be a terrible profession to get into if you’re not receiving any money,” he teased. He laughed again at her question and shook his head. “I’m mysterious and broody? Really? Here I thought that was my brother Charles thing.”
Faye “Hey, maybe? I do it because I’m so kind and I make due with what I’ve got.” Faye laughed along with him and lifted her hands up in defense. “See, I don’t know your brother well so I can’t comment on that but… you do have it going for you.”
William “As a CFO, if any of that were true, I’d suggest charging a little. Just here and there so you can pay bills easily and maybe retire one day,” he joked, playing a long with her now. “Well, I’d point him out so you could see what mysterious and broody truly looks like but I haven’t seen him tonight.”
Faye “Well, I should. Probably. Considering what money I do have, it’s not handled that responsibly. I don’t even have a bank I go to.” Her head turned away from him so she could scan the crowd for someone that could even closely resemble a sibling of his, but all she saw were old white guys mingling and girls who looked stiff and uncomfortable in their dresses. “What? Did they manage to skip out on it and not you?” She asked as she returned her attention to him. “Is this the one with the kid?”
William paused and replayed her words in his mind a couple of times. “You don’t have a bank you do to as in…you don’t have a bank account?” He questioned, his eyebrows furrowing together as he turned his body more toward her. “Yes, he is the one with the child. So, they probably stayed home because of the baby and that will be their excuse when mother throws her fit. But Callum and Adeline are both here. So, three out of four, close enough.”
Faye knew that probably sounded confusing, especially to him, so she just shrugged. “Nope, I don’t. Just cash checks at some stores that offer it.” Nodding her head when he answered her, she then looked again when he mentioned other siblings. “For once you luck out with a kid. And Callum, fun one. Adeline is the… what one again?”
William was trying to wrap his head around what she was telling him. “So…no checking account? Or savings account? Or a CD? Or an IRA?” He really couldn’t believe she had nothing. “Callum is not the fun one. He’s the troublemaker. And Adeline is the sweet, baby sister.”
Faye “Nope. Definitely don’t have anything for savings so that would be pointless, and what cash I have is minimal so… there’s no point dealing with banks. You’re forgetting you’re talking to someone who has… give or take fifty bucks to her name right now.” Dampening her lips, Faye creased her brows together. “As long as he isn’t killing anybody. It’s still fun for him.”
William “Right but if you were to save up some of your tips and paychecks, you could invest those into a CD and then you can put the earnings from the CD into a savings account with interest once you are able to cash the CD out without penalty,” he began to explain. “Then you would have way more than fifty bucks.” William shook his head at her. “I love my brother but he does not make good choices, ok?”
Faye “Yeah… As nice as that would be pretty much every paycheck goes toward my crap of an apartment and money for the bus that week, and the rest goes to new brushes and paints since I run out of reds and blacks pretty much within two weeks. Plus, the whole not eating diet does not work for me and I can only mooch of Alyssa’s home cooking for so long.” She admitted with a light hearted laugh, though all was pretty true. “Like what though? Because… he sounds like a great partner. Pretty sure Hazel mentioned him once?”
William made a little face when she started to go on about her expenses. He really couldn’t imagine what that was like and felt really bad. He wanted to help her but was pretty sure she’d never accept money from him so he wasn’t even going to try. He’d just have to get creative. “Well, you can always mooch off of my food,” he offered. “Like…drinking all the time, ruining hotel suites, crashing cars, being arrested, gambling. I’m surprised he has any of his trust fund left. And…Hazel is not an angel either.”
Faye glanced down at the mostly eaten plays of food she had then turned toward him some more. “Aren’t I already doing that?” She said with an actual laugh sounding from her throat. “Okay, that’s fair. It’s all a little far and actually kind of dangerous. And I don’t doubt she isn’t, but she’s also kind of amazing.”
William “Only sometimes and when I convince you to come over. But you could come over more often and mooch every day,” he suggested. Honestly, he had more than enough for just himself and wouldn’t mind Faye’s company. He liked talking to her and it was better than going home and being alone every day. “She is, I agree. She’s a good friend to have. Even if she can be a bad influence. She’s one that’ll always stand up in your corner. But she is also sometimes the one that backs you up into a corner.”
Faye “You know, most people would be glad their friends aren’t mooching off of them.” She argued with a shrug of her shoulders, it not so much being far from the truth. Licking her lips, Faye chuckled at the explanation of Hazel. “Are you speaking from experience, or?”
William shrugged his shoulders a little. She was right, it was a blessing to not be mooched off of. But he never really experienced that. All of his friends growing up were rich families and really, in the last few years, he’s mostly been focused on work and wasn’t close enough to anyone have try to mooch. “No, just witnessing how she is with my brother. Though I’m sure if it came down to it, she would defend me if it was needed. But, alas, I’m the good brother.”
Faye “Well from the sounds of it, your brother does a lot of it to himself.” She suggested as she took a sip from the beverage to only be placed back down on the table moments later, folding her hands back into her lap to try to keep herself looking as polite as she could be, even if she was slouching. “I’m sure you have your moments.”
William nodded his head in agreement with her before leaving back slightly in his seat. He let his eyes move over the room, noting his mother attempting to keep her attention off of them and his father completely oblivious about it. “What makes you think that?”
Faye allowed herself to watch him for the time being when she got her chance without looking like she was gawking. “Because you definitely would have been long after kicking the bucket from being bored stiff otherwise,” The brunette countered, a smirk pulling at her lips once she glanced at his mother. “And I’m pretty sure you might have pissed off Queen Bee with inviting me here so that’s a dangerous move.”
William turned his attention back onto her, his brows furrowing slightly. “Are you calling me boring and stiff?” He questioned. She had a point when it came to his mother though. He pretty much did what they wanted but he, unlike his siblings, found loopholes in their parent’s demands and exploited them as much as possible to drive his mother insane. “She’ll get over it.”
Faye “No. I was saying if you didn’t have your moments, you would have offed yourself from being so bored. I was complimenting you.” Faye chuckled, shaking her head at the look he gave her. From the looks of his mother based off the way she was eyeing both her and the table they were at, she definitely was not getting over it. “But will she really?” She laughed again, this time turning more toward him.
William “Alright, that’s better. And…I’ll except that. But does a boring person realize they’re boring?” He questioned. “Because I can point out ten really boring people who think they’re the most interesting person in the world,” he joked slightly. He glanced over to his mom and then back to Faye, smirking lightly at her. “Doesn’t really concern me if she does or doesn’t.”
Faye “Yeah, you should. That’s the best compliment you’re gonna be getting from me. And maybe? They often have this sudden realization that they wasted half their lives. I think they call it a midlife crisis.” She joked again, before she perked up and pointed toward him. “Ah, see? There’s something. Scandalous.”
William “That’s the best compliment I’m going to get from you? That I can’t be that boring since I haven’t killed myself?” He questioned, raising an eyebrow in her direction. “You’re not very good at complimenting, are you?” He questioned, a bit more teasing in his tone.
Faye leaned away from the chair as she swiped her longer hair back behind her shoulder, sprawling it out of her back in the process. “Yeah,” She started, shrugging as she did so. “I don’t usually compliment people, so.”
William shook his head lightly at her, chuckling under his breath. “I guess I’ll give you a pass this time,” he said after a moment. “Have you had enough to eat?” He asked, looking down at her plate for a moment. “If not, we can go back for more.”
Faye reached over to playfully pinch at his cheeks though made no actual effort to even fully pinch him. “How kind of you,” She said, pulling back from the position so she could straighten up in her chair. “Yeah, I’m actually stuffed.”
William pursed his lips slightly at her after she pinched his cheek. “In that case, would you like to continue ignoring the other guests and dance or would you like to ditch this party?” He asked, completely ready for either of the options.
Faye turned her torso so she could eye the larger room with various people mingling, eating, and dancing. Much like a normal party yet she was pretty sure she stuck out like a sore thumb. “Well, I can’t dance, so there’s your answer.” She said, rising from the seat only to tug down the stress to try and adjust it.
William almost laughed at her response before standing up after her. His eyes stayed on her as she adjusted the dress. “Maybe next time I trick you into coming to one of these parties, we’ll find a dress you’re more comfortable in,” he suggested, holding his hand out to her.
Faye smoothed the wrinkles she created afterwards as another laugh left her lips, shaking her head some. “It’s not the dress. It’s fine, really.” She said, moving to push in the chair she was using so it wasn’t in the way before she slowly took the hand he offered, not wanting to be rude.
William wasn’t entirely sure he believed her. Or maybe she was telling the truth and he was just reading into things too much. He was fully aware that his family were not like the average families in the town they’ve recently moved into so he expected people not to fit in with them or be comfortable at these sort of events. Holding her hand, he began to lead her away from the table and toward the exit, smiling politely to the people they passed by. “Did you want to go home now or would you be interested in some other activity?”
Faye wasn’t entirely lying but wasn’t telling the full truth, either. It wasn’t the dress as much as it was her, the fit was perfect and it was of perfect length but it differed much more than her usual day to day jeans. Doing her best to actually present herself as welcoming rather than off putting to the people she passed, Faye eventually looked up toward him when spoken to. “You gotta tell me what some other activity is before I decide, obviously. What kind of options are those?”
William shrugged his shoulders lightly before looking down to her, smiling lightly. “You’re the one from around here. You would know better out of the two of us what these other activities could be. Also, I already picked the first activity tonight,” he said, motioning to the party around them. “Lady’s choice.”
Faye “Are we really gonna do this whole tour thing again? Really?” She said with her head tilted to the side to look up at the taller guy, before sighing through her nose. “Fine, I can deal with that. I’ve been in this town since the day I was born, so.” She tugged at his hand at that point, furthering from the crowd. “I’ve got a place in mind.”
William “Yes, well, I can argue that I didn’t get a full town tour. Just a few stops and you were done,” he joked. “See! Exactly. Now, if we were in my hometown, I’d suggest the places since I would know,” he said, smiling at her. “Really? That fast. Alright, I’ll have a car come for us then. Shouldn’t be too far.”
Faye “You were a stranger, and as friendly as some of those could be you could have just as easily been a serial killer. I’m not dumb enough for that.” Faye said and actually laughed at the little joke, pulling her arms over her chest to relax some. “And where’s that?” She asked, tilting her head. “There’s only so many places to go in this town so we can knock them all off the list pretty easily.”
William “Alright, that’s fair,” he laughed. “But I feel as though I’ve proven that I am not a serial killer at this point, right?” He smirked a little at her question. “You don’t know?” He laughed. “And here I thought you got the full biography of the Sinclair family from the lovely Hazel,” he teased. “Do you ever get tired of a small town?”
Faye “Maybe, maybe not. You could easily being pulling one of those moves were you try to get close to the victim and earn trust only to take advantage… or murder her in the most brutal way possible.” Faye shrugged it off, holding back her amused expression. As serious as she could be at times, humor and sarcasm was her actual default. “Ha, funny, but no. Though, I can go by Hazel’s thirty second Sinclair run down if you want me too. No promises on how accurate it is.” Her lips pursed a little at his question, tightening her arms. “I don’t know, maybe? It’s not like there’s some huge castle waiting for me outside of it. It’s decent here.”
William thought about it for a moment before shaking his head slowly. “No, no. That would be…well, dumb. Everyone always suspects a man who is close to the victim. Whether it’s the boyfriend or husband. Which, granted I’m not. But let’s be frank, I’m attracted to you and I’m not necessarily downplaying that attraction. Also, small towns generally suspect a newcomer before someone within the town. I’d be the first and probably only suspect in your murder investigation.” He glanced over her for a moment, amused by the thought of the run down. “I’m curious now. What did Hazel tell you in this rundown?” He nodded his head at her answer. “Understandable. I guess I’m just interested in knowing since most television shows, books or movies based in small towns features people trying to escape to the city.”
Faye “Ok, ok, you have a point. But you could also be one of those ruthless murders who doesn’t care if he does time or not.” Faye said, pursing her lips at him some. If she was being honest, she was a little hesitant with it all. Their differences were not only a big reason but the fact that he hardly even got a glimpse as to how she really was. “Yeah yeah, I know. I saw the eyes wandering.” She mentioned, stepping off the few steps slowly until she came to a halt, unsure of where to even exit in that place. “I can’t rat out my girl like that.” Faye joked, shaking her head. “Because that’s usually the small town, girl next door thing they’ve got doing. I’m not that. You should probably talk to Sophia King if you’re looking for that, though.”
William “Rest assure, I’m not a ruthless murderer,” he promised, completely amused by the absurd conversation they were having. He smirked to himself a bit when she mentioned seeing his eyes wandering. He wasn’t really hiding it when he did it so it didn’t embarrass him. As she stopped, he did too, watching her for a moment before nodding his head toward the right, letting her know that was the way they were heading. “Fine, be secretive,” he sighed. “Sophia King…she’s the…nanny, correct? Or something that has to do with children. I believe my sister has spoken about her before. She said she was…the perfect depiction of the girl next door in all her glorious but annoyingly sweet, prom queen ways.”
Faye placed her hand over her chest to resemble holding her heart, letting out an overly sarcastic gasp. “Such a relief,” Faye said, taking note of the direction he nodded toward, pivoting around in the shoes she wore to head in that direction. “I’ll tell you someday,” She said, shrugging again. “Yup, runs a day care out of her house. How she does it is beyond me and how she still has hair is questionable.” Nodding at the description, Faye waved her finger. “Ding ding ding, she nailed it. It’s almost annoying how nice and perfect she is but she’s the type you can’t even be a bitch to.”
William rolled his eyes before letting out a soft chuckle at her sarcasm. He followed her down the hall, casually directing them the right way as they walked. “Wow, a whole day care. Here I thought it was just one child.” He was amused by how accurate the description was, laughing a little to himself. “You know, they say those kind of people…the super sweet, perfect ones…they’re crazy and hiding a lot of terrible stuff. Maybe her basement is full of dead bodies,” he joked.
Faye glanced behind her shoulder at him as she practically led the way but was directed by him, holding back her own laugh. “One child or fifteen, she’s insane.” She noted with a shake of her head, eventually escaping the building to a much colder brisk of air. “Shit, I hope not. As much as kids aren’t my thing, that would be insane on a whole other level.”
William “I didn’t mean children!” He laughed, moving closer to them once they were outside, waiting for their car to pull up and take them wherever Faye decided on. “I meant adults. Talking about murdered children is awful.”
Faye reached up to push her hair off her forehead as she laughed, looking toward him when he moved closer. “Well? Daycare has a hella amount of kids in it.” Shaking her head, Faye even grinned a little as she laughed. “Murder is murder.”
William shook his head at her. “This conversation went to a dark place. I accept full blame on it. But still, very dark and needs to be directed elsewhere,” he said with a slight sigh. As the car pulled up, he stepped out to open the door for her to get in first. “You’ll have to let the driver know where to take us.”
Faye smushed her lips together and turned to walk backwards once the car pulled up, facing him. “You bet your ass you’re taking the blame for it. For once, I didn’t do it.” She joked, shaking her head some. Once he actually opened the door Faye paused before bending over to get inside, immediately scooting up so she could tell the driver where to go. “You sure you trust me?” She laughed as she turned back into a seat, immediately grabbing her heels to take off.
William waited for her to be fully into the backseat before getting in next to get, closing the door. “I trust you,” he assured, her smiling over to her. “Unless this whole time you’ve actually been the ruthless murderer and are planning to kill me in the woods,” he added, teasing of course.
Faye settled into the seat and placed her shoes beside her. “Nah, you don’t have to worry about that. I would get myself lost if I tried. The only place I know how to get to is the sacred smoking rock, and that’s kept hushed.”
William raised an eyebrow in her direction at the mention of a sacred smoking rock. “Do I even want to know the details of this rock you’ve deemed as being sacred?” He questioned. It was honestly shocking that they seemed to get along so well. She was definitely more his young brother’s type.
Faye “Hey, I haven’t deemed it. Just passing on the wisdom of the rock is all.” She held her hands up in defense and laughed. “In high school, it’s the place you go when you skip math class and get stoned. It’s still there and as active as ever. Maybe it gives you an extra trip, or something.”
William “Ok, then who is the wise person that says it’s sacred?” He questioned. “Did you used to hang out with a pot smoking Buddhist?” He teased. “Also, that’s the hot spot in town for skipping class? That’s…sad…”
Faye “Honestly? I think it was just a lazy super senior who had a crazy acid trip and named it that. Since then it stuck.” Faye replied and laughed some, realizing how insane it sounded. “There’s not much to do in this town. But the people that skipped usually skipped for that reason, to get drunk or smoke some.”
William laughed at the explanation, shaking his head. “Wow, that is ridiculous,” he breathed out. “I never skipped school so I couldn’t tell you the exciting places to go to from first hand knowledge. However, my siblings did. They usually just went to a friend’s home or to the mall. No smoking rock as far as I know of.”
Faye “Really? What’s ridiculous is spending time at the mall or a friend’s home. That’s so lame.” She joked and shook her head, glancing out the window to make sure the driver actually knew where she was talking about, before looking up toward him. “You never skipped? Ever?”
William made a little face before shaking his head. “I don’t know. I think skipping school in a pent house or a mansion is much better than some rock,” he commented. “But again, good brother…didn’t skip so I wouldn’t know what’s more thrilling.” He shook his head. “No. My parents were much more strict with me and kept a closer eye on my studies. If I did skip, they’d know and get mad and I didn’t like the idea of them being mad at me when I was younger.”
Faye “I guess. Depends on what you do in those pent houses or mansions. I wouldn’t know, haven’t been in one until at least tonight.” Faye shrugged her shoulders and twisted her torso so that her shoulder was against the seat of the car, ticking her eyebrow upwards. “Lemme guess. You don’t skip a day of the family business, either?”
William “Well, spend a little more time with me and you’ll see plenty of pent houses,” he promised, giving her a little smirk. He almost laughed at the look she gave him when he answered her question. Slowly, he shook his head. “No, not really. I expect our employees to be at work every day, on time without any issue unless they are ill or have a family emergency and I think I should have those same standards for myself.”
Faye “Are you gonna trick me into going to those too?” Faye asked in an almost teasing tone but was actually curious. Half the time she wasn’t normally easily tricked, so the fact that he managed to pull that night’s fast one on her was a total surprise. “Do you have more than one pent house, or something?” She murmured, curling her hair behind her ear once the car managed to slow after awhile. “Wow. You really need to take some personal days, boss. No one likes working everyday.” She said with a shake of her head before turning to push the door open, nodding her head out the door. “Come on, my own gala awaits you, sir.”
William scrunches his nose up slightly at her and shook his head. "No, don't worry. Tricking a girl to a pent house sounds a little creepy. And I don't think you're normally one that needs to be tricked into going to a party. Unless it's one like tonight's. In which case, probably." He thought about her question for a moment and how to answer without sounding too richie rich. "I guess you could say that. I, personally, only have the one I currently live in. However, my family does have vacation homes that we more or less share. And, well, I guess I have two penthouses but since I've moved here, I'm renting the other one out," he answered, feeling as though he failed to do what he wanted. He perked up a bit as they got to where they were going, moving to get out of the car. "Your own gala, huh?"
Faye "Well... depends on what party. I'm aware of stranger danger." Faye countered and lifted her shoulders in a shrug, scooting up so it would be easier to climb out of. When he went on about the penthouses, Faye gave him a little look. "Where are these vacation homes, then?" The brunette asked as she climbed out, turning to face him. "You're gonna experience the "dirty" bar."
William "Do you?" He asked in a teasing tone, smirking over at her. He shrugged his shoulders when she asked for more information on the vacation homes. "Just, various places," he answered vaguely. He gave her a bit of a funny look when she mentioned a dirty bar. "You brought me somewhere dirty while I'm wearing a three piece, Gucci suit?"
Faye "Yeah. Is that so hard to believe?" Faye asked as she glanced over at him behind her, tugging open the door to let him go inside first. She watched him when he hardly answered and when he mentioned his suit, she laughed. "Yep. I'm sure buying another wouldn't put you on your back," She commented, moving past him to weave through the darker lit bar up to the counter, drumming her hands against it. She really didn't have to order, they learned it by now.
William shrugged his shoulders lightly at her before grinning playfully. He looked down at his suit and then back up at her, sighing lightly. "Fair," he admitted, walking into the bar, stopping to wait for her. Immediately he stuck out and so did Faye in the gala dress he purchased for her. He followed her to the counter, stopping as they got to the bar. "So, is this one of your usual spots?" He asked, glancing around the dimly lit bar.
Faye leaned up against the bar and smiled in thanks when a tray was pushed her way, pulling it toward her and William. "Yep," Faye said, keeping it simple with beer but sliding a mini menu William's way in case he wanted something else. "The cook in the back would save me dinners and stuff since I was sixteen." She admitted, taking a seat on a stool. "The food is greasy and heavenly.”
William noted that she frequented the place enough to not even have to put in an actual order before drinks were brought to her. Shrugging off his jacket, he played it onto the back of the stool before taking the seat beside her, looking over the menu for a moment before deciding what he would get. "Most greasy foods seem to be more on the heavenly side. No one has ever said that about something healthy," he half joked.
Faye settled down into the spot and pushed her hair off her shoulders so it wouldn't get in her way of sight or anything. "Yeah but not all. You can have a heavy in grease food and it taste disgusting, landing you in the hospital for a clogged artery." Faye laughed, sipping from the beer she poured.
William "Well, thank you Nurser Faye for that warning of what happens when you have unhealthy food," he teased. As the bartender made his way back toward them, William put in his drink order and then glanced back over toward her. "So, is this your big plan tonight? Bring me to a bar, get me liquored up and take advantage?" He asked, still teasing.
Faye sipped from the beverage and licked her lips afterwards, collecting all the foam that got on her mouth. "You're welcome. I beat out the Kramer chick for the best nurse around here. Just don't ask me to bandage you up." Faye said, smirking slightly before leaning in toward him. "Like I need to get you drunk to take advantage."

William "I'm not sure who the Kramer chick is but I am going to go ahead and agree with you," he said, an amused look on his face as he spoke. He did his best not to laugh as she leaned toward him, leaning closer to her himself. "What makes you so sure about that?"
Faye "Do I need to give you the town 101? I'm a real good observer. I know about everyone." She said with a nod and tilted her head to the side, moving her hand up to slide over his back. "Because you're insanely attracted to me."
William made a little face and shook his head. "Not at the moment. I don't know if my big city mind could really accept the fact that I'm living in a town so small that I could easily learn the names of everyone who lives here," he answered. "That's very true. Doesn't mean I'd do anything and everything you ask of me."
Faye "A little much, huh?" Faye said and laughed a little, moving back in her spot though her hand moved down to his lower back. "I never said anything, did I?"
William "Just a little," he breathed out with a small nod of his head. He perked up as her hand moved down his back, curious as to how this would all play out. "That's is true. But I'm still standing my ground here and saying you can't simply take advantage of me as easily as you think you can."
Faye "It's not that much but ok," Faye teased with a shake of her head, biting her lip some. "Would you really say no to me right now, though?" She asked, moving her hand down to his thigh at that point.
William "Oh, I know it's not that much. Your town has very few people, which the idea of is a bit much to me. I don't know how you do it." His eyes moved away from hers for a moment, going to her hand on his thigh. "I could," he answered before looking back up at her. "The question is do I want to."
Faye took a big sip of her beverage before standing so she could move her smaller body to the area between his stool and the bar. "I'm sure you're smart, you can figure it out." Faye murmured, turning when the bartender brought his drink to grab it. "You don't want to?" She asked, holding his drink up for him but also closer to her.
William let out a light, breathy laugh as she moved off her stool to stand between him and the bar. She was really good at this teasing thing and if he wasn't used to it, he probably would have fallen for it a lot easier. "Not particularly," he answered, his hands moving to grab hold of her hips.
Faye took a sip of his drink before she would look down at him, pursing her lips. "I don't believe you," Faye countered. "You sure you're not bluffing?"
William kept a smirk on his lips as he pulled her hips forward slightly, bringing her even closer to him. "Maybe, maybe not. You'll just have to play a little game of risk and reward to find out."
Faye watched him for the moments that passed, pulling his drink up between them so she could let him drink it. "Maybe I'll just get you drunk instead," Faye suggested, smiling some.
William laughed as she held his drink up to him, moving one of his hands from her hips to take the glass. "Oh? Don't like playing games unless you're the one in control?" He asked as he took a sip.
Faye released the glass when he took it front her, moving up a little closer so that her thighs were hitting the front of his stool. "No, I'm just switching up my methods." Faye shrugged her shoulders.
William quirked up an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to go on. When she didn't, he set his glass down on the bar and gave her a curious look. "And what methods will you be going with now?"
Faye watched him set his glass down, moving her hands up from his elbows, biceps, to the shoulders. "Getting you completely wasted to get you to admit it," Smirking, she moved up to his neck.
William laughed at her answer, leaning back only slightly away from her, not actually wanting her hands to move away from him. "So, going with my original suggestion then? Alright, good luck on getting me completely wasted."
Faye watched as he moved before moving her hands down to his thighs, sliding them up slowly this time. "Well depending on your tolerance to alcohol, it will either happen quick or slow."
William "And what exactly do you plan on doing once I'm drunk?" He asked, both hands moving back to her hips now. He was already ready to leave this bar, which he was sure wouldn't happen since leaving the alcohol behind didn't go along with her plan.
Faye moved up so her hands were not at his hips, before moving one up to play with the collar of his jacket. "Wouldn't you like to know?" She joked, though her lips were peeked up in her own little smirk.
William "I would love to know. It's why I asked," he pointed out, teasing her, of course. As she smirked at him, he leaned forward until his lips were only a few inches away from hers. "Please tell me?"
Faye puckered her lips out as if she was thinking, moving to wrap her fingers around his tie now. "Again, I don't think so." Faye said, her other hand moving to pull his shirt up slightly by his hip.
William knew it wasn't going to be that easy, not when she was obviously so determined to maintain the upper hand here. "You know, you're playing with fire here," he whispered to her, letting his hand moved down her hip, over her thigh and then back up, pushing her dress up along with it.
Faye moved to brush her hand up underneath his shirt to his bare side, untucking the part of the shirt. It was later in the evening, so everyone in the bar was in their own groups, not that it mattered much to Faye. "I think I can handle whatever I'm playing with," She murmured, tapping him lightly on the lips.
William smirked as she tapped against his lips. "I don't doubt that for a moment," he whispered back to her, his fingers sliding up her inner thigh as he used his other hand to pull her closer toward him.
Faye arched an eyebrow at the movement of his hand, dragging her finger across his bottom lip. "Are you sure you're not the one playing with fire?" She suggested, glancing down between them.
William shook his head lightly at her question, his fingers stopping once he started to run out of inner thigh to touch. "I'm quite good at handling fire," he answered.
Faye "I can see that," The brunette replied under her breath, moving her hand out from his shirt to rest back down on his thigh now. "Are you ready to admit it yet or are you going to keep denying the real fire?"
William quirked up an eyebrow at her as she questioned him. "And what exactly am I supposed to be admitting to?" He questioned in return. He was pretty sure he was doing a fine job keeping up with her and not having letting her take advantage of him just yet.
Faye reached behind her and grabbed the drink once more so she could take a few sips, leaning back slightly to look over him then his face more once. "That you want me to take advantage of you," Faye said.
William "Ahhh," he responded with a bit of a laugh, leaning back slightly. His eyes moved over her for a moment before back up to her eyes. "Of course I want you to take advantage of me."
Faye twisted around so she could lean up and sit back down on the stool, though kept her legs draped over his thigh, pulling his tie into her hands that time. "Incredibly sexy that you can admit that," She said, taking a sip again before passing it over to him.
William almost frowned when she was back in her own stool and not as close as she was before. He leaned toward her as she pulled on his tie, smirking a bit as he grabbed his drink. "Is that it then?" He asked, finishing the drink off. "Done playing?"
Faye "I think if we continue playing we'll end up in trouble with an audience," Faye pointed out and wrapped the end of the tie around her fingers, still pulling lightly on it when he leaned in forward. "You know what I mean?"
William glanced toward where she was pointing, barely even noticing the others in the bar until then. His attention went back to her when she pulled on his tie again. "You say that like we can't find somewhere a little more private."
Faye watched him as he glanced around the bar then back at her, knowing he pretty much forgot about the rest of the people. "Are you suggesting something so scandalous, Mr. Sinclair? Tsk, tsk."
William laughed as she teased him, shaking his head. "You know, just because I'm generally thought of as the more responsible one of my siblings, doesn't mean I don't know how to be a little bad."
Faye purses her lips some as he defended himself, somewhat amused st that point. "Prove it," Faye challenged, dropping his tie now.
William licked over his lips when she told him to prove it, not at all surprised that she would turn this into a challenge. Without a second thought, he pulled her into him and pressed his lips against hers.
Faye He really should have seen thsi coming, or rather, she should have as well. They pretty much walked right into it, and teasing him was more fun than she actually thought. Feeling the little tug, Faye willingly let him pull her to him and kiss her, a laugh escaping in the mean time and her lips immediately moving back up to claim his.
William quickly deepened the kiss, one hand on the small of her back, keeping her close and the other against her neck. He always liked the playful banter and the teasing but that was nothing compared to actually stopping the game and kissing Faye as he had wanted to for some time now.
Faye felt the grip he had on her back and neck and used her hand to hold loosely onto his wrist to steady herself, not wanting to get too aggressive that quickly. PDA and doing things in public weren't something Faye was a stranger to, she was just impressed William willed up to her challenge. Lightly nipping at his bottom lip, Faye pressed her lips back into his a little harder before she murmured. "So scandalous, Sinclair."
William smirked lightly into the kiss as she nipped at his bottom lip. William had few vices but this, Faye, was easily becoming one. He let out a soft laugh at her teasing, pulling back a little. "Hardly," he breathed out, his thumb swiping over her lips.
Faye turned her head slightly when he pulled back so she could both nip and kiss at the thumb brushing across her lips. "Slightly tempting for something scandalous," Faye murmured, smirking at him. "So you're getting there."
