the first time i drew raph ,,,,,, and that was using a shit ton of refs. nice to see a lil improvement :] this uses no refs except for the pose cause I'm an obsessed sdfjkasgj this is my drug,,,, think I fucked up the legs tho,, wanted to crop em out but eh. made em too big lol

free programs like medibang and firealpaca are pretty good, they were what i started with. krita and ibis paint i heard are also good but i havent used either of them so youll have to do some of your own experimenting^^

tbh animating in harmony is great, I am just not good at working with rigs yet </3 also good luckkkk !! There's a lot of stuff in it so it seems complicated but if you learn bit by bit it's not so bad!

i havent painted in forever, so when my partner found a new favourite artist who's released his brush set, she was compelled to try it, so of course I had to follow her and do my own little brush test!

aaaand i had to try recording a timelapse of it too, since I've never had a timelapse of a painting before! you can see how indecisive i was in finding some way to add some texture to it all in the end (and how much better my sketch looked)

I use procreate, but I'm struggling, so I was wondering if you had any suggestions! (if you use procreate that is, if you don't feel free to ignore this!)

and i actually use Clip Studio Paint unfortunately, but i have used procreate in the past! one of my favorite parts about csp is the way paint brushes can blend colors together, i never quite managed to replicate and get it to look nicely in procreate. theres blend tools but i want it to feel like im painting! to give the illusion of painting in prcrt i would lower the brushes opacity and paint over, color drop, paint over, etc so that it Kinda looks like a painted transition. i can almost guarantee there are better ways to do it But listen............... i am not the brightest............................

either way, im unsure if id be of any help with procreate specifically, but if you do have any questions feel free to ask! and if someone has some procreate tips and tricks u are more than welcome to comment them ❤

It's a default procreate brush!! I can't live without it hahaha (thats also why I'm scared of using other programs ngl)

I use it to paint my doodles and as a shader brush in my more rendered drawings✨

PLEASE HELP ME 🙏

I’ve recently swapped over to this program from Photoshop and that program lets me use a slider to go through my brushes while on CSP they all just form a BLOCK- I have to extend the brushes tab all the way across my canvas to even see my brushes in each pack and they don’t show up as nice little drawn lines like they do on the videos I’ve seen or like they do in PS. Instead, they’re weird stamps? Also my options to change the opacity of my brushes is nowhere in sight and only available in my options after pressing 3 buttons in settings and then scrolling down a list to find the option and I don’t fancy doing that EVERY time I wish to change brush opacity.

Does ANYONE know how to fix this?? Or at least make it more bearable to work with because coming from photoshop this program is actual hell to use and I have no idea what I’m doing :[

every day i wish csp would just let us get clippy in a normal way instead of making us buy gold n then use the gold to get a subscription service to get clippy even tho the gold is also used to buy other things n the clippys deplete each month when ur not subscribed

i think its kinda funny that ibis paint is regarded as the Broke Artist App or whatever (as opposed to more mainstream programs like csp or procreate) because its free and because of how popular it is with phone + finger artists while im jusg sitting here having used ibis for a cool eight years on purpose.

like i have an ipad and an apple pencil and all theyre very nice and i absolutely could move to a more powerful program i have the resources to do so but my change averse brain has decided they like it here a lot and im not leaving
