I just realized that one of the greatest sells of AsaDen for me is that Asa has abysmal charisma. Not even for the comedy, but because in turn she can’t really manipulate Denji like they’ve all done so far

(Like in the aquarium date when he stands up for himself :) You can barely call what she’s done so far manipulation, she tries to sure but she fails horribly, she’s more like, stumbling around saying the most repellent stuff and Denji chooses to stick around to enjoy the circus lmao. Asa could not be more of a turn-off if she tried, but she can’t hide her true self for long, and thankfully that true self goes “I will not go so low as to suck up to this guy, fuck my plan I’ll revise it later”. No charisma. Like this, there’s no real power imbalance, just two earnest teens who fuck up like teens. She’s perfect)
