We introduced the clicker to my dressage lesson yesterday. It was a fabulous addition, Blue carried everything over to the new arena no problem. But I think the most useful realisation was that not only does he have a totally different attitude, so do I. My cues are clearer, more carefully applied, I notice and reward the attempt. I'm much lighter and softer in everything. It's like picking up the clicker overrides the years of "horse must listen" indoctrination and makes me a much better trainer.

(I wouldn't call myself a hard rider compared to some, but I am a harder rider than I would like. I am the product of my experiences and the majority of 30 years experience is pressure-release and the horse Will Listen. I think pretending anything else is disingenuous)

Izzy who for years has been a bit of a third wheel to Jace and Alec and their parabatai bond, that she's not apart of no matter how much she loves them both (and they her). who's always missing something because she has no friends of her own (except perhaps Aline and they barely see each other).... and here comes another parabatai duo to circle, who she's always missing something with
