Remember how Nico mentioned Montero in TSATS?

I was thinking about the Primordial! AU and imagined what if Nico mentioned it there too. Everyone probably won't know about it. But Al would. And I imagine that it would go somewhere along the lines of:

Percy: Do we just fall into Tartarus? Nico: Where's Lil Nas X when you need him? Jason: Who? Nico: Really? You don't know him? (looks at everyone else's blank expressions) Montero? Alabaster: (chokes on his saliva) (coughing) You watched that? Nico: You know that? Alabaster: Hey, you asked! Aeon: What is it? (noticing the blush on Alabaster's cheeks) Alabaster: (looks away) You don't want to know. Aeon: (checks his memory to see anyway) Oh. Oh. (looks at Nico) We need to discuss the things you've been watching to "catch up with the times."

i need the waxwitch agenda to spread so bad. yes i know you can only meet icarus after beating chronos and you only see him in the furthest zone on the surface so far. yes i know you have to get there multiple times to piece together his backstory with mel. yes i know his storyline is barely finished and he can't show up at the crossroads and he doesn't even have a 3d model or finished character art. i can wait patiently

i'm having trouble forming this thought into words but there's something about melinoë being raised the way that she was and being taught to think the way that she does to the point of not being able to think any other way. it's not naivety and it very much reminds me of how prejudices get passed from parent to child. i keep seeing these statements coming from the olympians saying that the old golden age was a farce and that chronos is manipulating the humans into following him (note that we don't have any living human perspective on what's happening, so we don't really know how far chronos' reach has spread. all we have to go on is what's happening in the realms of the gods and in ephyra). it's all being perpetuated by gods that melinoë has been raised to trust and believe in. i think she could be nearing a tipping point as the plot progresses, though. like i said, i don't think there's necessarily a "good" or "bad" side here, only the side that melinoë/the player is on and the side that chronos is on (plus many of the NPCs that we meet who are generally uninvolved in the whole mess). but there's also a lot that we're missing simply because melinoë is unaware of it.

Chaos is infiltrated by Time, aren't they. The redesign isn't a coincidence, and their involvement can't be reduced to mistakes or their inability to predict results, as they claim, can it.

First, there was the thing with the Fates. Now they amit they released Typhon as an "experiment" that exceeded their expectations in its thirst for destruction.

Then, Chronos bragged that he outsmarted the gods in the way he released Typhon. Sadly, he didn't tell me how he achieved it on 2 consecutive encounters, and I don't know when that thread of dialogue continues for me (roguelite woes).

Still. It's 2 nickels for times Chronos has used Chaos and Chaos's innocent play pretend is getting more and more sus.

holy shit!!!! I was straight up sobbing while watching this I will for sure need a day to gather my actual thoughts but here is what’s jumped out at me after one watch!

this was worth the wait and would’ve been well worth a much longer wait. definitely a step up from ‘WV: Ascend’ and ‘Jade: Pester John’ in terms of complexity, and number of storylines being balanced at once

the layering of multiple small panels over the main panel is SO cool

dave’s glasses! the way the Sburb logo moves in time to the music and is REFLECTED IN DAVE’S GLASSES

the era of anime pocket watch is over

if you didnt know, i started a project to watch every anime available to me in chronological order of release. i've made a myanimelist and a spreadsheet (but thats just for me)

i have watched plenty of anime before, but i didnt start counting how many animes i watched until this, so my real total might be... i dont know... +100? maybe?

but for this specifically the current count is

Short - less than 60 minutes Watched: 306 Movie - 60 or more minutes Watched: 182 Series - multi-episode, counted per season/installment Watched: 235 Total: 723

+100-ish other animes i've watched not part of this project. idk. im not good with estimating numbers.

this is only up to 1989 so far. im hoping to finish the 80s this year, but life. the amount of anime released each year seems to increase exponentially so i know this is really a low number in the grand scheme of things
