It was a late night at the hideout. After a particularly grueling mission, you and Dabi dragged yourselves back to your shared room, the weight of exhaustion clinging to both of you. The plan had been simple enough, but nothing ever went as smoothly as it was supposed to in this line of work.

Before settling down, you both made a quick trip to the shower, the hot water helping to wash away the grime and stress of the day. You felt more human as you rinsed off, the steam enveloping you like a comforting blanket. Dabi didn’t say much, but you could see the tension ease from his shoulders as he stepped out, water dripping from his hair. After drying off and throwing on some comfortable clothes, you collapsed onto the bed without much thought, still feeling the fatigue wash over you.

The room was quiet except for the sound of your breathing and the flicker of a movie playing on the flat-screen TV, though neither of you were really paying attention to it. Dabi had ended up lying on his back, arm flung over his eyes. You sat beside him, propped against the headboard, watching him through half-lidded eyes. The mission had been rough, and you could tell it had taken a toll on him, but now that he was here, in this quiet moment with you, he seemed a little more at peace.

As you looked down at him, an idea popped into your head. His dark hair was messy from the day’s events, strands falling into his face as he breathed slowly. You bit your lip, stifling a giggle, as the image of him with his hair in a tiny ponytail flashed in your mind.

You weren’t sure how he’d react, but the exhaustion had wiped away any hesitations. Reaching over to the bedside table, you grabbed a small hair tie and gently scooted closer to him. You were careful not to wake him as you slowly gathered the messy strands of his hair, tying them into the smallest ponytail you could manage on the top of his head.

It looked… adorable. The contrast between his usual brooding, tough exterior and the ridiculous ponytail made your heart warm. Unable to hold back, you let out a soft giggle.

Suddenly, Dabi stirred. His eyes slowly blinked open, and he groaned, voice low and gravelly from fatigue. “What the hell are you laughing at?” he mumbled, shifting slightly.

You bit back another laugh, pretending to be innocent. “Nothing,” you said, your voice betraying your amusement.

He squinted at you suspiciously before reaching up to rub his face. His fingers brushed the top of his head, and his eyes widened slightly in confusion. “What the…” He sat up slightly, tugging at the tiny ponytail.

“Are you serious?” he asked, glaring at you half-heartedly. His tone was annoyed, but it wasn’t harsh. You knew him well enough by now to realize he wasn’t truly mad, just a bit surprised.

You couldn’t help it anymore. You burst out laughing, clutching your stomach as you watched his face twist in mild annoyance, his hand still gripping the little ponytail. “It’s so cute!” you managed to say between giggles.

Dabi huffed, rolling his eyes. “Cute, huh?” he muttered, clearly not impressed, but as he looked at your face—your genuine happiness, the way your eyes sparkled as you looked at him—his expression softened.

He sighed and let his hand drop away from the ponytail. “Fine, if it makes you happy,” he grumbled, lying back down. “But don’t expect this to be a regular thing.” His words were sharp, but his tone was soft, almost affectionate.

You smiled, feeling a rush of warmth as you scooted closer to him, lying down beside him. He glanced at you, and you could see the faintest hint of a smile tugging at his lips. “You’re ridiculous,” he murmured, but there was no malice in his words.

Without thinking, you reached up and brushed your fingers through the rest of his hair, smoothing it down gently. He tensed for a moment but soon relaxed, his eyes fluttering shut. It wasn’t often Dabi let himself be vulnerable like this, and you cherished every moment of it.

Before you knew it, he had shifted closer, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you against his chest. His body was warm, comforting in a way that was uniquely Dabi. You smiled into his shoulder, your fingers still playing with his hair as you lay there together in comfortable silence.

After a few moments, you felt his lips press gently against your forehead—a rare but cherished gesture. It was small, barely noticeable, but it spoke volumes coming from him. You closed your eyes, feeling content in his arms, listening to the sound of his steady breathing.

Dabi let out a soft sigh, his voice barely above a whisper as he spoke, “You’re the only one I’d let do this, you know?”

You smiled, your heart swelling at his words. “I know,” you replied, snuggling closer to him.

As the night went on, the two of you drifted off to sleep, tangled together under the blankets, the tiny ponytail still perched on top of Dabi’s head. It was a small, silly moment, but it was one you would treasure—because even in the darkness of your world, there were moments like these. Moments where you could just be together, no masks, no missions—just you and him.

And that was enough.

izuku really tries for you :((((( he tears up, inside his heart breaks a lil bit seeing you so happy with the stuffie, but he doesn’t want you to see him being upset. he pretends to be excited for you, but the smile doesn’t really reach his eyes. he knows it’s unreasonable to be mad at a pile of fluff and fabric… but… he js wants to be your favourite again 🥺

“y/n! …oh, you’re busy cuddling with the bear? …i guess i’ll just go over there then…”

bakugo absolutely loses it. you have no idea why he’s so pissy today, did you do something wrong? when class ends, he doesn’t wait for you to get your stuff like usual, and he doesn’t sit with you at lunch… it stings a lot bit more than you think, you feel so alone. ending up in tears, you call him sobbing, telling him you’re sorry for what you did wrong :( he comes barging into your room five seconds later and crouches over you, wiping a stray tear dripping down your face.

“listen dumbass, i’m… sorry. no, you didn’t do anything wrong. here, i got you your favourite chocolate so you’d stop your whining.”

todoroki’s confused. who gave you this giant bear? why didn’t they give it to you themselves? and most importantly, why does he feel his heart twist? he decides he doesn’t like this feeling. he tells himself it’s illogical to be jealous of an inanimate object, but after class, he takes you to the nearest plushie store and tells you to pick out whatever you want. or better yet, why not just buy the entire store? 

“hmm? what do you mean i’m insane? of course i can afford it, would i offer it if i couldn’t?” yes

kirishima is genuinely happy for you. of course you’d get a stuffie, he thinks you’re amazing and that you totally deserve it! he even hypes you up, telling you that you’re super manly n his favourite person. when you open up your locker after lunch, you’ll find a chibi crimson riot plushie and a polaroid camera photo of you and him during the sports festival 💗

“that bear is super cute! just like you <3”

kaminari hates it. he hates your attention not being on him, he hates that you hug the bear but not him. so what does he do? he tries to gaslight you into throwing it out 💀💀 throwing shade at the bear, getting offended when you defend it, and being all pouty when you huff at him. he squats in a corner, pursing his lips together, mumbling under his breath about how he’ll zap the bear in the balls later 🤩.

“stupid bear… who do you think you are, taking all of y/n’s attention?”

shinsou looks like he couldn’t care less, and for a while, he doesn’t. but when you start to no longer take naps with him because now you have a cuddle buddy, that’s when he has a problem. he physically snatches the bear off his delicately placed spot and tosses it carelessly on the ground. he wiggles onto your bed next to you, taking the place of the bear who was there seconds ago. he swipes the drool off the corner of your mouth before joining you in slumber.

“why the bear is on the ground? it must have fell off.”

tamaki is insecure of it. do you like it better than him? why do you call it your new best friend? have you replaced him? you clearly notice when he starts to get distant, but you can’t figure out why. is it because you’ve been spending more time with nejire? that must be it! when you apologize to him for accidentally ignoring him for your friend, he sighs in relief. at least you still want to be his friend and maybe more

“i-it’s really no big deal. i get it if you like nejire better than me. wait… nejire?” 

dabi doesn’t give a shit. i mean, he’s confident that you won’t leave him because you both have unresolved feelings for each other, but that doesn’t stop him from burning poor teddy into a crisp :( don’t worry though, he’ll just ‘buy’ you another one! he doesn’t mind another late night run with you, especially if it makes you happy. 

“hah? those ashes are from… my cigarettes. maybe shiggy or toga has your plushie.”

hawks juts his lips into a pretty pout. he’d make a really good stuffie too, y’know… if only you’d notice his feelings for you. but on another note, he leaves hints that he just released a new line of hawks chibi plushie, and he just happens to have a couple extra… pouts further when you suggest that he should hand them out to fans next time he’s at an event.

Dabi mail! Made it to the post office today! I'm so grateful to my co-worker for coming in on a day she was supposed to be on vacation! I didn't ask her to do it. Things just worked out that way. Lol

There are also a couple of acrylics in one order (found at an amazing price with free shipping from Japan) and a shipment of pre-ordered stuff that should ship soon. It has another acrylic... File folder... keychain... um, stuff. 😂 And... a sticker? I think there's a sticker. Lol There are also two other things I plan to grab. I'm hoping they stay available until I get paid. 😂 The temptation to jump the gun is real.

Everything else I have pre-ordered is a little way off... I think. 😂 I have a convention this month, so I need to stop the madness for a little while... 😏

I honestly thought they were like the neck, half drawn shoulders, the beginning of their shirts and then it stopped there, but no. It's tiny scribbles of their bodies. Hori CANNOT draw chibi. And so this makes me laugh too sdnfsdnifks

Again, Hori's love of background characters shining through. For me, it's not so much the info itself as it is the fact that Hori literally dedicated an entire page to explaining News Reporter Backstory

I remember this being the first sketch of Tomura I saw for a volume extra, so I really like it. The translation for this one is Tomura saying "Hooray." with a serious face lol

MON CHAN PAWS

I laugh every time I see this one. The translation coming from the plane is "You forgot your parachute!" and Best Jeanist jumps out saying "Unnecessary!". Hori can be really fucking funny

I tend to think of it as a less intense version of that one Volume 30 cover concept Hori shared, but with the same symbolism. It still has me head-in-hands anyway and I love the meaning behind it

My gadgets collection: Dabi Chibi Rubber Mascot Keychain

Okay, so while I wait for my 2 Shouto Omanjuu to join my collection, here I come talking to you of another Dabi gadget instead, one I fought hard to get because it was really difficult to find a seller who had it on ebay and that would be willing to include the ebay IOSS code as well when sending it. So, here it comes the the Dabi chibi rubber mascot keychain from the second series of “My Hero Academia Chibi Rubber Mascot Keychain Vol. 2” (僕のヒーローアカデミア ちびぐるみラバーマスコットキーホルダーvol.2 ‘Boku no Hero Academia chibi-gurumi RUBBER MASCOT KEYHOLDER vol. 2’).

That’s how the full series of 7 pieces look.

I think everyone knows that they're called 'chibi' (little) because they're basically super deformed, with giants head and extremely tiny bodies. Compared to Nendoroids this chibi version have also extremely tiny limbs.

Here it's how it looks like:

Interesting enough those are the clothes Dabi wore when he met Shigaraki, in short he doesn't have his iconic coat.

Here you can see him from behind and yes, they left him have his pouch. Because it's super important or otherwise he would be withought the hyper hair-dye remover and then we wouldn't have Dabi Dance would we?

For the size you can see him here with his Nendoroid version, showing he's less than 10 cm of height.

If you're wondering no, he doesn't know how to stand up on his own, his feet are too tiny to support him, here I had him learn against his Nendo version.

Ad here you can see how flat this tiny thing is.

While I didn't test this specific one out I had other rubber keychains and they're sturdy enough. They can still break if you mistreat them, but they won't do it so easily.

Considering how hard it was to track Dabi down, I don't think I'll manage to get them as well, which is a pity because, they're so cute!

But still, these Chibi Rubber Mascot Keychains a gadget I recommend, so if you get the chance to get one for yourself with your fave chare on, do get it.

Soulmate Au

Before you meet your soulmate you have to deal with a chibi version of them before actually meeting them. So can he handle it?

Dabi's point of view

Reader's view.

He grew up hearing that soulmates were a waste. Not everyone got together with the suppose love of your life, he was warned of that before his father discovered that... his quirk was almost perfect, almost... after this, he had to deal until the day he escaped from home a abusive and toxic family...

Reaching his 18 years old he was living on shelters and streets, during these times due to fighting for his own survival, his scars had marked half of his face and almost all of his body... damn the universe for giving him such a self destructive quirk...

During these times, he also saw many of people getting scared at the sudden appearance of the said chibis or carrying the little things around with eachother... their love was real? Could he really believe that?

His mother always encourage him and his younger sibling thhat they were getting their soulmates despite his father's harsh words.... But how coul someone like him have a soulmate? It was better this way... alone. He was better off alone and with no one with him.

Now, being part of the league of the villain came the said topic about chibis which always leaved him a little pissed off. Toga was rambling about that green haired kid from the USJ again, and he was so tired and annoyed that he got off from the couch and went to his quarters, merely flipping Spinner and Compress off when they asked him where he was going.

Closing the door, he let himself drop on what was suppose to be his bed with a sigh before he heard a sound. He tried to ignore it, but the constant squeaking was getting him crazy...

"Wanna play cat and mouse fucking rat? Let's make a barbecue then." He lighten his hand on fire before getting up with a gruff and looking at the corner of his small room to see a little person there, looking up at him.

"The hell?" He muttered as he tried to burn the thing but they squeaked and ran off to jump on his bed.

Looking at them with boredoom, he sighed and tried to aproach again, no more with his quirk activated in a attempt to not scare the poor thing again... Narrowing his eyes at its it only blinked at him before opening a open smile... Letting him know how much he was fucked and how those mom's stories were indeed true...

There in front of him was his chibi.

Despite trying to hidding it from everyone in the league, eventually they spotted him trying to get away from the chibi whose was trailing behind him. A sense of anger and jealousy burned inside him as Twice and Spinner talked and tried to at least poke at the chibi's cheeks, whose always squeaked in protest and ran towards him.

"Dammit Dabi! Your chibi is really clingy!" Spinner whined as Dabi only stared nonchantly at the chibi on his ankle.

"You can have it." He mumbled in annoyance before he walked out with the damn chibi on him.

The chibi suddenly squeaked and ran after something before coming back with a note of money... He hadn't notice it before and coincidentally he had complained to himself a bit yesterday that he was out of money... and there it was his chibi always glued to him with a smile offering it to him.

"Thanks.." he said with a smirk while kneeling down and grabbing as he widened his eyes at the kiss they blew at him... "Oh fucking god you're cute." He muttered whiel trying not to chuckle at it.

Weeks had passed and he tried to find his soulmate even on the day time as he walked with his chibi chilling on his shoulder... yet all in vain. It had been almost months already yet he hadn't found the actual version of doll.

"Neee Dabi???" Toga cooed behind him as he toon another gulp of his drink with his chibi swinging their legs up and down on his shoulder "Let me see that chibi of yours real quickly?"

"Give them back right now you brat-" Dabi grunted while standing up before Shigaraki appeared out of no where and holded the chibi by their arm as they emmited a sound of pain.

"Such a bothering little thing. Tell me again why you're keeping this?" He showed the chibi with more emphasis as flames surrounded the indigo haired man's shoulders, arms and hands.

"Give. Them. Back." He growled the worlds as shigaraki only looked at Kurogiri before sighing at the way the golden orbs squinted abjt before throwing the chibi at Dabi.

"If you like playing with dolls whatever, as long as it doesn't bother us anymore." Dabi scowled at his boss before walking quickly to his room and placing the chibi carefully down.

"Fucking hell.. does it hurt?" The chibi only looked up at him with teary eyes but shocked their head while waving the arm.

"But does it hurt my soulmate?" He asked and felt a pain of guilt surround him as the chibi nodded sadly and hugged his scarred hand when he seemed down.

"... well." He smirked while cupping the chibi and already putting on his disguise "At least now I will finally know my real dollface." The chibi squeaked in glee before jumping out of his hand and grabbing his sunglasses and offering to him.

He walked carefully on the street and occasionally scoffed at some heroes doing patrols on the day light. The chibi grabbed on his ear suddenly and squeaked loudly as he groaned.

"What now?" He grunted while rubbing hjs now sore ear as the chibi squeaked more and more before he blinked and cursed out loud when they simply jumped away from him and ran towards teb entrance of the hospital.

"Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit-!" Just about when he went to call out for them, he accidentally bumped into someone, somehow hard enough to make both of him and the other person to fall straight to the floor.

He went to curse them out before he gasped at seeing his vision clear, he was without his sunglasses and went immediately to take them before he felt another warm touch on his hand to make joist of electricity roll over all his body from hand to head and toe.

The first thing he notice when he looked up was his own little shit of a chibi hugging a squirt version of himself... then he saw his soulmate... By God, no offense to the chibi version... hit you were way more prettier and beautiful than them.

He wished the moment could have last longer before he noticed a few people staring as he cursed under his breath, ignoring your attempts to apologize as he spoke:
