It's not your situation - I just need contemplation over you. I'm not so systematic, It's just that I'm an addict for your love.

Happy pride month! Could you recommend any queer songs? I only know Born This Way.
Okay here’s the thing idk if I can name queer songs because I usually just listen to queer artists. I also listen to a lot of pop, alt-pop, electronic and alt-rnb music and I feel like that’s just not common or well-liked music?
Here are some queer songs I can name off the top of my head:
“Cherry” by Rina Sawayama
“Got to be Real” by Cheryl Lynn
“I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross
“Vogue” by Madonna
“Take Me to Church” by Hozier
Here are the queer artists I really like (and listen to often) though:
Syd
Amaarae
Kelela
Kaytranada
WILLOW
Kehlani
Janelle Monaé
Queer artists I listen to, but not as much:
Frank Ocean
Rina Sawayama
Doechii
Steve Lacy
Kamaiyah
Yaeji
Kari Faux
Kara Jackson

25 songs that started as ballads and ended up disco: Which of these slow-to-fast dance tunes did it best?
25 songs that started as ballads and ended up disco: Which of these slow-to-fast dance tunes did it best?!? #disco #1970s #1980s #DonnaSummer #DianaRoss #GloriaGaynor #slowtofast #classics
(June 4, 2023). In the heady days of disco, and in the years immediately after, it wasn’t uncommon for a great dance tune to begin as a slow ballad. It was a popular tactic for disco divas like Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor and yes, even pop superstars like Diana Ross and Barbra Streisand, all of whom had hits that started with deceptively slow, simmering grooves that set a somber mood before…

On The Jukebox: Cascada - "Studio 24"
Largely covers on this one. Track listing below:
"Ain't No Mountain High Enough" (originally performed by Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell)
"If You Could Read My Mind" (originally performed by Gordon Lightfoot)
"Boogie Wonderland" (originally performed by Earth, Wind and Fire)
"Call Me" (originally performed by Blondie)
"Ain't Nobody" (originally performed by Rufus featuring Chaka Khan)
"Don't Leave Me This Way" (originally performed by Thelma Houston)
"Disco Inferno" (originally performed by The Trammps)
"I'm Every Woman" (originally performed by Chaka Khan)
"Murder" (Cascada original)
"Relight My Fire" (originally performed by Dan Hartman. Yup, the Take That version is a cover.)
"Playing For Keeps" (Cascada original)
"You Keep Me Hangin' On" (originally performed by The Supremes)
"Blame It On The Boogie" (originally performed by Mick Jackson. Yup, while most people would only know the version by The Jacksons, it is technically a cover.)
"Got To Be Real" (originally performed by Cheryl Lynn)
"Studio 24" (Cascada original)
[retropopmagazine.com gave this one a 3 stars out of 5 rating which I would very much agree with.]

to be real ..
that is how I perceive punk was .. and meant to stay.
I never thought it had message, a claim or any kind of mission of sorts.
I never thought it was proposing anything, selling anything, or answering any questions.
I think it was a refusal to sink into the clichés and the supposedly commonly agreed-upon or dictated way that life was handed down to us.
just a striking stupor in the midst of profuse absurdity and hypocrisy ..
The stupidity of people comes from having an answer for everything. The wisdom of the novel comes from having a question for everything. When Don Quixote went out into the world, that world turned into a mystery before his eyes. That is the legacy of the first European novel to the entire subsequent history of the novel. The novelist teaches the reader to comprehend the world as a question. There is wisdom and tolerance in that attitude. In a world built on sacrosanct certainties the novel is dead.
The totalitarian world is a world of answers rather than questions. There, the novel has no place. - Milan Kundera
