Can we talk about how Kate didn't use the 'Lethbridge' part of her name to avoid nepotism but in season 14 she refers to herself as 'Kate Lethbridge-Stewart' when speaking against Sutekh??

Still talking about this post, can you imagine? she would be unbearable if she meet the 13th doctor, i can clearly see Kate going on her office to the 13th "I need you to met someone" and then going on to the unit speaker like "miss Osgood theres someone in my office that I want you to meet could you come here real quicke please?" and then Kate would like to the 13th "Petronella dresses like every single version of you, talks about you" and i think 13th would be flattered and like "Really? that's awesome, I need to know her." Osgood on the other hand as she would go to Kate's office and see the 13th would either need her inhaler or she would faint i think it would be the second one haha

I really think Kate's comment towards Shirley shouldn't have been brushed over so quickly. The Toymaker's whole thing wasn't mind-control that made people say things they don't really mean, it made people believe that opinions they already held were 100% correct. That means that Kate does actually doubt how much Shirley needs her wherlchair. For me, that completely changes how I see her as a character, and I don't think her relationship with Shirley (even if it's just a working relationship) would realistically ever be the same again. For a disabled person, finding out someone you respect and trust doesn't want to make accommodations for you is actually devastating, and isn't something that can be forgotten about or ignored so easily. I really wish the show had addressed it in more detail if they decided to go down that route at all

i just...why did they have to do anything with kate's relationship status at all???? i headcanon her as a lesbian personally but i liked that she was single on screen, i liked that she's married to her job it does so much for her character

it reinforces her similarities to her father who also bounced through relationships like a freight train slipping off its tracks. unit is her whole life and that's what makes her compelling to me. there was so little chemistry with that guy, so little everything, i've got a feeling she's gonna get bundled off the show soon in case jemma wants to move on (fair)
