to be fair to pream there are definite benefits to the hell house. because it's awesamdad ending, he's not a prisoner. definitively. hard line drawn. he gets his own marker for the house grocery list and everything. in a house full of wardens and prisoners in their iterations he's the...roommate? he can make snipes at j!Sam and face zero consequences. d!sam marriage trump card. ring on his finger etc. a lot of what ... really sucks about awesamdad ending is that it's Just Sam, really. p!dream has to grapple with forever with sam and just sam while dealing with all the demons of uh 20 years of being stalked and abused by this guy that he's now married. yay. part of what helps with birdhouse to counter that is just that there are other people around? he can make friends with people that havent you know devoted their lives to keeping him (tm). and there's something to do! he's got to focus on Getting Home, which means less of the feeling of "oh we're at the finish line now what." that weighs on him very heavily in awesamdad ending (the original). that being said ,, yeah, new traumas galore as well :') we put him through the wringer a little bit ... lots of fucked up things to witness.and not be able to do anything about. and there's a warden and a prisoner and a basement, again...

thank you for your ask!! this fic is more of an idea than a clear text at the moment- BUT

imagine, master Lene Kostana the witchiest jedi ever, for the first time in centuries of her life takes a padawan! a curious, energetic boy with the same allergy to restrictive rules that she has.

but. he is a human and she is altiri and she kinda forgot how FRAGILE people are. what is the flu again?

A familiar brown spot appeared in the corner of her eye. With a sigh forming in her chest, Lene turned her head to shush Ferana. Seriously, their little feud could wait until Sifo-Dyas recovered. The convor landed on the pile of blankets the Padawan was wrapped in, but instead of trying to tug at the boy's damp hair, she dropped a familiar little packet onto his chest. A treat that Lene had saved for special occasions. "How did you..?" "Thank you..?" Sifo-Dyas was also clearly confused, but now there was a shadow of a smile on his haggard face. Ferana trilled, preening. Well, at least one of them was doing well. Lene looked at the screen again, moving on to the next forum thread. Seriously, there were so many articles, and half of them were useless to her at the moment because they used plants or medicines that were only sold in a certain part of the Galaxy or, oh Force, a single planet. "Gods! How were you even allowed to adopt a human? Children need to develop among their own kind…" And there were also comments like these. Without finishing reading, Lene sent a complaint against the user and moved on to the next article.
