hello sweetheart, i read your prompt list and saw this one "hug?” “clingy, much?……” but hugs them anyway and my heart melted, i don't know if you already did this, but can we have something like that with our sweet but grumpy eddie? 🤍
ty for requesting! — eddie doesn't know why you're avoiding him (fluff, ditzy!reader, 0.9k)
Eddie lost sight of you ten minutes ago.
You were squished between Robin and Steve on the loveseat last he saw you, giggling into your solo cup while they belted Total Eclipse of the Heart to you — at you — over the music and in their best Muppet impressions.
He only remembers it so vividly ‘cause he was jealous. Not jealous because you were subjected to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum’s drunken antics, of course, but jealous because you were with them. And so, so far away.
Now you’re gone, and he misses you like a stray dog — aggressive and hungry and hurt. He walks up to Steve in the kitchen just the same. Hair wild. Button eyes glittering. Slightly reluctant.
“Where’d she go?!” he shouts over the music, half-muffled into his drink. He uses the plastic cup like a shield ‘cause he doesn’t want people to know he’s missing you. The metalhead freak from the wrong side of town isn’t supposed to need the ball of sunshine from the suburbs.
But alas.
“Uh, I don’t know,” Steve slurs, half-distracted as he pours himself a drink. He doesn’t need Eddie to tell him who she is. There’s only one person in the whole world he’d go looking for. “She went outside with Robin, I think—”
Eddie spins on the worn heel of his sneaker before the words can properly leave his mouth. He ducks through the bustling, drunken crowd and finds you sitting lonesome on the porch outside. Prettier than the full moon and all the stars in the velvet black sky combined.
He walks to stand beside you, shoes thunking heavy on the wooden deck. You tilt your chin to smile brightly up at him while he slips a cig into his mouth. He cups the stick as he lights it. Pretends that’s what he came out here for. Not to see you, of course.
Definitely not.
“What are you doing out here by yourself?” he mumbles beneath the cigarette in his mouth.
“Robin just left,” you answer plainly, half-shy.
“Why didn’t you come find me?” he asks with an air of nonchalance, still trying to play it cool. ‘Cause there’s nothing less metal than yearning.
You shrug. “‘Cause you were busy?”
It’s easier than telling him that you thought he wanted the space. Or that you actually spent the whole night aching to hang on his side — too scared of embarrassing him in front of all his friends to act on it.
You know who you are just like you know who he is. Bubblegum pink doesn’t always go well with black. It gets in your hair. Makes everything go all sticky. It’s an acquired taste you know Eddie’s still getting used to — too much of it, and his stomach will start to hurt. So you figure it’s best to keep your distance.
You just didn’t think he was as grieved by it all as you were.
Eddie scoffs. I’m never too busy for you, he wants to say. He might’ve if he wasn’t such a coward. Instead, he blows smoke from his lungs and jokes, “I wouldn’t call keeping Argyle from crowd-surfing in the living room busy, sweetheart.”
A laugh tumbles from his plush lips. The golden sound falls over your skin like stars. You smile absentmindedly back at him as you rise from the creaking rocking chair. You plant your feet ahead of his and smooth your palms beneath his leather jacket, over his warm sides.
Eddie meets your twinkling eyes with narrowed chocolate ones. “What?”
“Hug?” you ask in a mousy voice.
The boy laughs like he’s too cool for affection, though he’d be lying if he said your offer doesn’t have his chest sparkling something fierce. He flicks the cig to the ground — sheepish gaze going with it — before snuffing it out beneath his sneaker.
“Clingy much?” he scoffs.
You nod with a proud smile.
Eddie’s chest swirls with an unfamiliar feeling. You’re strangely brave about all this — affection and love and all things sweet enough to make him gag.
It makes him feel like he can feel brave, too.
He wraps his arms around your shoulders and holds you with all the intensity of someone wanting to swallow you whole. You hug him back just the same. “I missed you,” you murmur with your cheek squished against his chest.
“Then what’re you avoidin’ me for, huh?” he teases, chin bobbing against your head.
You pull slightly back to squint at him. “I’m not avoiding you.”
“You’ve been hangin’ out with Steve and Robin the whole night,” he grieves, hiding his sincerity behind boyish theatrics. With a feigned pout that feels totally real, he says, “And you didn’t even sit next to me when we played Never Have I Ever.”
“I thought you wanted the space,” you confess in a hushed voice.
His face screws up like he’s tasted something sour. “Why would you think that?”
“I don’t know…” you shrug. “You always talk about how much you like being alone and stuff, so—”
“Well, yeah! I like my space— just not from you!”
It’s likely the least metal thing he’s ever said.
“Oh,” you hum, mouth contorting into a sheepish beam. “Well… Sorry.”
“Yeah. You should be,” he scoffs, mostly joking. He pouts softly and pulls you back into him again, nosing at your hair until his chapped lips brush your temple. “Just don’t let it happen again, alright?”

ℍ𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕔𝕜🧸
< prev // next >
ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟: Sleeping beauty
Word count: 4094
Summary: In this chapter, Y/N wakes up after three and a half days of sleep, prompting concern from the pack, especially Chan and Changbin's mom. While the boys handle rehearsals, she cares for Y/N, ensuring she feels safe and nourished. When Chan decides to stay with Y/N, they discover her scent has returned, signaling her recovery. Y/N feels guilty about her omega duties, but the boys reassure her that her well-being comes first, leaving her eager to connect with her new family.
Y/N slept for an impressive three and a half days, a fact that didn't surprise anyone, especially Chan. Omegas usually 'hybernate' whenever they did something that tired their bodies. It was normal for them to go to sleep for days.
Day One:
On the first morning of her extended nap, the boys rose early at 6 AM, gathering their things for rehearsals. Before they left, they waited and made sure Changbin's mom had arrived safely before they could leave for work.
"Hey, Ma!" Changbin greeted his mother with a respectful bow before pulling her into a warm embrace.
"Hello, baby! How are you? How are the boys?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she stepped into the house.
"We're all doing well, thanks to you for helping us out," Changbin replied, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek as he led her into the living room where the rest of the boys were lounging.
"You don't have to thank me, dear. I'm just so excited to meet her!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm filling the room.
"Mama Bin!" Lee Know jumped up from the couch, his smile brightening at the sight of her. "Thank you so much for doing this!"
"Oh, Lee Know! You all really don't have to thank me!" She beamed, wrapping him in a quick hug. She went around the room greeting each member that was present before she realised one was missing, "How have you all been? Where's Chan?"
Just then, Chan emerged from upstairs, his hair tousled and a sleep-deprived smile on his face.
"Did you give her her medicine?" I.N asked, noticing Chan's entrance with a raised brow.
"Yes, my love—oh! Hey, Mama Bin!" Chan replied, visibly relaxing as he spotted her.
"Christopher!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with joy.
"How's my favorite son-in-law doing?" she teased, causing the rest of the pack to shout a collective "Hey!" in playful protest.
Chan laughed, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Just trying to survive, honestly," he admitted, and they all chuckled.
"How are you? Did you get here safely?" Chan asked, grabbing his jacket off the couch.
"Yes, I did, love! Where's the new addition to the pack? Let me see her," Changbin's mom said, placing her bag on the counter and looking around expectantly.
"She's asleep right now. She might be out for the next couple of days, so she won't be any trouble, honestly," Changbin explained, while Han set out breakfast for her on the table.
"Thank you, my dear," she said, her attention briefly shifting to Han before returning to Changbin. "Why is she going to be asleep for so long?" A frown crossed her face as she picked up a mug.
"She was a ring omega," Changbin admitted, a nervous chuckle escaping him.
"Oh dear!" she gasped, placing the mug down with concern. "Is she okay? Is she in a subdrop? Oh, the poor little thing!" Her frown deepened, making Chan feel more confident about leaving Y/N with Changbin's mom, given how delicate and caring she already was.
"She's not fully in a subdrop; she's just really quiet and doesn't have a scent at the moment. She's also quite small for her size," Changbin huffed, glancing around for support from the group.
"Yeah, but the point is," Lee Know interjected, "we need you to just watch her and feed her lunch and dinner if we're not home early today. She might be fussy at first, but she's a really good girl. She'll listen to you."
"I already told her you're coming, and I gave her her medicine. She took her pills, but for lunch, just give her her pills again, and I'll apply her cream at night. She doesn't really like people touching her," Chan added, looking serious.
"Alright, alright. I've got this! You guys don't worry about me. I've been a mom for years; I can handle this without a hitch. Just get to work before you're late!" Changbin's mom said, playfully shooing them off.
"Please call us if she needs any of us," Felix said softly, guilt weighing heavily on him. He wanted so badly to crawl into bed with Y/N and nestle beside her, but he knew they couldn't do that.
"Don't worry, Felix, I will. I promise," she assured him, her heart warmed by his concern as the boys headed out.
Once they left, she decided to check on Y/N, wanting to make sure she was doing alright. Climbing the stairs, she moved quietly, the soft carpet muffling her footsteps. As she approached Felix's room, she hesitated for a moment, her heart fluttering with excitement and maternal instinct. Gently pushing the door open, she peered inside.
There, in the center of Felix's cozy nest, Y/N lay peacefully asleep, her hair splayed like a halo around her. She was completely enveloped in the soft blankets, looking utterly serene. The sight made Changbin's mom smile. "You are so gorgeous," she whispered, admiration lacing her voice.
Stepping closer, she adjusted the pillow beneath Y/N's head, ensuring it was positioned perfectly so that she wouldn't wake up with a stiff neck. Then, she dimmed the lights, casting a warm, inviting glow that enveloped the room. It was a small gesture, but she hoped it would make Y/N's rest even more comfortable.
Satisfied, she quietly closed the door and made her way downstairs, her mind already shifting to the next task at hand: cooking. As an alpha, she had always been more comfortable with physical tasks than culinary ones, often struggling in the kitchen compared to the innate skills many omegas possessed. Nevertheless, she approached the kitchen with determination.
Gathering ingredients, she decided to make a comforting pasta dish, knowing it would be filling and warm. As she chopped vegetables and stirred the sauce, the familiar rhythm of cooking began to calm her. The rich aroma of garlic and herbs filled the air, creating an inviting atmosphere.
As the pasta boiled, she took a moment to pause, leaning against the counter. A sense of nostalgia washed over her as she remembered times when she had cooked for Changbin and his lovers, their laughter echoing around the house. She chuckled softly, recalling a particularly chaotic dinner where Felix had accidentally spilled sauce all over himself, earning him playful teasing from the others.
With the pasta nearly ready, she turned her attention to the big-screen TV in the living room. Flipping through channels, she settled on a light-hearted cooking show, letting it play in the background. The host's cheerful banter and culinary tips provided a soothing soundtrack as she worked, and she found herself laughing at their antics. It reminded her of the joy of cooking—not just the food, but the memories made around the table.
Once the meal was ready, she plated the pasta, garnishing it with fresh basil and a sprinkle of parmesan. The vibrant colors and inviting scents brought a smile to her face. Just as she was finishing up, she heard a soft sound from upstairs—Y/N stirring in her sleep.
"Maybe I should prepare something for her too," she thought. After a moment's hesitation, she decided to whip up a small serving of pasta for Y/N, wanting to ensure she felt cared for and welcomed.
With Y/N's plate set aside, she finally allowed herself to sit down at the table, enjoying the warm food and the satisfaction of having created something special. As she ate, her thoughts drifted to Y/N—wondering about her past and what brought her to Felix and their pack. She hoped Y/N would feel safe and loved here, just as Changbin had always made her feel.
After finishing her meal, she decided to tidy up the kitchen. As she washed the dishes, she caught sight of the clock and realized time was slipping away. "I should check on Y/N again," she said to herself, drying her hands and moving back upstairs.
Entering Felix's room once more, she found Y/N had shifted, her face now slightly illuminated by the soft light. She looked so peaceful, and a wave of affection washed over Changbin's mom. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she took a moment to simply watch her, feeling the warmth of her new role in this little family.
She leaned down to brush a stray hair from Y/N's forehead, feeling a protective instinct swell within her. "You're part of our family now."
With a final glance, she quietly left the room, closing the door gently behind her.
When 3:00 PM arrived, Changbin's mom made her way upstairs, her heart full of care for the young omega resting She gently opened the door and approached the bed, where Y/N lay completely passed out, her chest rising and falling in a slow, peaceful rhythm.
"Y/N?" she called softly, shaking her gently but carefully, aware of the girl's sensitivity to touch. "Y/N, you have to wake up so you can eat a bit and take your pills." She kept her tone soothing, not wanting to startle her.
After a moment of silence, she called out again, a little louder this time. "Y/N?" This time, the sound stirred Y/N from her deep slumber, a soft groan escaping her lips.
"Hmm?" Y/N mumbled, her eyes fluttering open. Panic flickered across her face when she saw a stranger hovering nearby. Still heavy with sleep, she didn't have the energy to react.
"Hey, I'm Changbin's mom," she said with a warm smile, hoping to put Y/N at ease. "You need to eat something before you can go back to sleep."
"I don't wanna; I wanna sleep," Y/N groaned, her frustration evident as she rubbed her eyes. Her body ached, and her eyelids felt like lead weights, the side effects of both the medication and her omega powers beginning to settle in.
"I know you don't want to, pup, but you need food. Otherwise, your body won't function properly," Changbin's mom explained gently, trying to convey the importance of nourishment.
"Where's Channie?" Y/N asked, her irritation bubbling under the surface, desperate to return to her dreams.
"They all went to work, but they'll be back soon. Here, eat this for now." With that, she offered Y/N a small bowl of pasta, watching closely as Y/N hesitantly took a bite. She could tell the girl was hungry, despite her complaints. Y/N occasionally drifted off mid-bite, only to wake up moments later, groggy yet determined to finish.
"You must be so exhausted, pup," she cooed, her heart swelling with affection as Y/N swallowed her pills and leaned back against the pillows, a soft hum escaping her lips.
"I'll be back around dinner, okay?" Changbin's mom said, watching as Y/N's eyes fluttered shut once more, the exhaustion pulling her under like a gentle tide. Satisfied that she had taken care of her, Changbin's mom quietly closed the door behind her and made her way downstairs.
In the kitchen, she set about washing the dishes, the rhythmic sound of water splashing against porcelain a calming backdrop. After finishing, she settled down in the living room, turning on the TV to a light-hearted show. The laughter and chatter from the screen filled the space, as she waited for dinner time.
As the hours passed, she found herself occasionally glancing upstairs, wondering how Y/N was doing. The young omega was a delicate flower, and Changbin's mom felt a protective urge swell within her. She wanted to make sure Y/N felt safe and loved.
When dinner time rolled around, she prepared a warm, hearty meal, her thoughts focused on Y/N's needs. After everything was set, she returned to the room, softly knocking before entering. Y/N stirred, her eyes slowly opening as if awakening from a long dream.
"Hey there, sleepyhead. It's time for dinner," Changbin's mom said gently, placing the food on the bedside table.
Y/N groaned softly, but the enticing aroma of the meal seemed to pull her from her drowsiness. "Do I have to?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes, you do, Just a little more, and then you can sleep again," Changbin's mom encouraged, knowing how important it was for Y/N to stay nourished.
As Y/N sat up slowly, she took a few bites, the food seemingly recharging her. Each spoonful was met with a small smile from Changbin's mom, who felt a sense of joy at seeing Y/N eat.
After finishing her meal and taking her evening pills, Y/N leaned back against the pillows, looking more comfortable yet still weary. "Are the boys coming?" she said softly, her eyes pleading.
"Of course. They'll be back soon, and they'll be so happy to see you," Changbin's mom promised, tucking the blankets around Y/N snugly. With a final reassuring smile, she left the room, closing the door gently.
As she returned to her own evening watching TV in the leaving room and slowly drifting off to sleep.

"We're home!" a cheerful voice rang out from the front door, breaking the quiet of the early morning. Changbin's mom groaned as she woke, glancing at the clock that read 3:45 AM.
"Ugh, why do you guys always come home so late?" she muttered to herself, stretching her limbs before sitting up on the couch.
"Mum? Where are you?" Changbin called, his voice echoing through the house as he removed his shoes. The other boys followed suit, dropping their bags on counters and hooks, their energy unmistakably low.
"In here!" she called back, still shaking off the remnants of sleep as she tried to gather her thoughts.
"Hey, how was practice, you guys?" she asked, her voice warm and welcoming as they started to separate. Some headed for the fridge to grab leftover pasta, while others flopped onto the couch or hung up their coats, each greeting her with affectionate hugs.
"It was so tiring, like usual, but we managed to get everything done," Hyunjin groaned, yawning widely. "I'll see you in a few hours, Mama Bin." He kissed her forehead and made his way up the stairs, clearly ready to collapse into bed.
"Can I sleep with you tonight, Jinnie?" Felix called from the kitchen, his voice laced with a hint of exhaustion.
"Yeah, babygirl, just come in whenever you're ready," Hyunjin replied, quickly disappearing down the hallway.
"How was it? Did she behave?" Chan asked, settling onto the couch and taking a long sip from a water bottle.
"She was good. She slept most of the time but only woke up to eat," Changbin's mom explained. "She kept asking for you all. I made her the pasta like the meal plan said. I hope it's good."
"This is some good-ass pasta!" Seungmin exclaimed, his cheeks smeared with sauce as he devoured a bowl. "I'm not complaining!"
"I'm glad you like it. You lot should head to bed; I'm going to crash too," she said, grabbing a cozy blanket from the couch. With a warm wave, she made her way to the guest room.
"I'll go check on Y/N. I'll sleep with her tonight," Chan announced after a moment of contemplation, almost considering the couch due to how tired he was.
"Hyung, no!" Seungmin growled, his irritation flaring up. "You always sleep with me!" He pouted, his frustration evident as he wiped sauce from his face.
"Yeah, babe, but you can sleep with Changbin or Lee Know tonight. I don't want to leave her alone," Chan replied, trying to keep his tone calm despite the rising tension.
Seungmin's growl deepened, and Chan winced as he felt the hot wave of anger radiating from him through their bond. "Stop being petty," he hissed, fatigue creeping into his voice. "It's just one night."
Chan was honestly running on autopilot, exhaustion weighing heavily on him. "It's 3 AM; I'm going to bed," he grumbled, frustration bubbling to the surface. With that, he stormed off, leaving the remaining boys in the living room, still debating their own plans for the night.
As Chan climbed the stairs, he couldn't shake the lingering annoyance in the air. He understood Seungmin's feelings but also felt a protective urge toward Y/N that he couldn't ignore. Pushing the door open to Felix's room, he peeked inside to find Y/N peacefully sleeping in her nest.
She looked serene, and for a moment, all his frustrations melted away. "Just one night," he whispered to himself, closing the door softly as he slipped under the covers beside her, ready to ensure she felt safe and cared for.
🌱🍄🌻🥞
Day two:
It wasn't just one night. Chan had ended up crashing with Y/N on the second day of her sleeping coma, and of course, Seungmin wasn't happy about it again. But honestly, Chan was tired of his drama.
The day had already been stressful; they were running on just about three hours of sleep, and on top of that, they had twelve grueling hours of dance practice ahead. Every muscle in Chan's body ached, and his head was pounding like a drum. Seungmin had been giving him the cold shoulder all day, still sulking over the previous night's events. Chan was just done with the nonsense.
As he walked down the hallway toward Felix's room, he could feel the weight of Seungmin's frustration hanging in the air like a thick fog. "What's his problem?" Chan muttered under his breath, shaking his head in annoyance.
When he pushed open the door, the sight of Y/N sound asleep in her nest brought a wave of calm over him. She looked so peaceful, her soft breaths matching the gentle rise and fall of the blankets. Chan's heart swelled, reminding him of why he had wanted to sleep beside her in the first place. Here, everything felt right. The stress of the day began to dissolve as he wrapped his arms around her, drawing her closer.
"Just a little longer," he whispered, resting his head against hers. The warmth of her body soothed his frayed nerves, making the chaos of practice and the tension with Seungmin feel like distant memories.
But then, a knock on the door broke his moment of peace. Seungmin entered, his expression a mix of anger and hurt. "What are you doing, Chan?" he snapped, arms crossed tightly over his chest. "This again?"
Chan sighed, frustration creeping back in. "I’m just keeping her company, Seungmin. She needs it."
"You always say that! It’s like you don’t care how it makes me feel!" Seungmin shot back, his voice rising. "I’m starting to think you only want to sleep next to her to rub it in my face."
"That’s not true! I care about her just as much as i care for you!" Chan countered, the exhaustion in his voice palpable. "You need to stop being so dramatic about this."
Seungmin's expression darkened. "Dramatic? You think I’m being dramatic? Maybe you just don’t want to admit that you’re being selfish."
Chan clenched his jaw, feeling the heat of the argument rise. "Selfish? Really? I’m trying to be there for someone who’s hurting, and you’re making it all about you!"
"Maybe you should think about how I feel for once!" Seungmin shot back, frustration etched on his face. "I’m tired of feeling like I’m competing for your attention."
With that, Chan turned away, running a hand through his hair. "It’s not a competition, Seungmin. You can sleep with someone else tonight. I’m not leaving her alone."
Seungmin scoffed, his arms dropping to his sides in defeat. "Fine. Do what you want. Just don’t expect me to be okay with it."
With that, Seungmin stormed out, leaving Chan feeling drained. He couldn’t shake the lingering annoyance in the air. He understood Seungmin's feelings but felt a protective urge toward Y/N that he couldn’t ignore.
"Just one night," he whispered to himself, closing the door softly as he settled under the covers beside her.
He couldn’t help but hope she would wake up by morning, that they could share the moment of relief together. In this space, wrapped in her presence, Chan felt grounded and sane, as if all his worries could fade away, even if just for a few hours.
🌱🍄🌻🥞
Day three:
Chan jolted awake to the sound of his alpha howling in distress, his heart racing. "What the heck?" he murmured, groaning as he rubbed his eyes and held his head in his hands.
The voice echoed in his mind, Omega! Sweet omega. Please...
With a sigh, Chan looked over at Y/N, who was peacefully asleep beside him. "What time is it?" he huffed, reaching for his phone. That's when he caught a whiff of something heavenly—her scent. His breath hitched, and he couldn't help but smile. What the heck?
Curious, he leaned a little closer, inhaling deeply and enjoying the comforting aroma. "Her scent is back?" he wondered aloud, furrowing his brows. He quickly texted Minho and Changbin, asking them to come to the room.
Just as he was savoring the moment, Changbin burst through the door, followed closely by Leeknow, who bumped into him.
"Dude! Ow!" Leeknow groaned, rubbing his nose. But as soon as he caught a whiff of Y/N's scent, he froze. "Oh..."
Changbin's eyes widened. "Her scent is back?"
"Yeah! I woke up because my alpha was going wild, and then I realized it was her!" Chan grinned, feeling a mix of excitement and disbelief.
"Jesus, she smells amazing! I might just melt!" Changbin exclaimed, earning a hearty laugh from Chan.
"No way she smells that good!" Leeknow said, inching closer to the bed, a playful grin on his face.
Just then, Y/N stirred, blinking awake to see Leeknow leaning in with wide eyes. "What the...?" she groaned, and before he could react, he stumbled back, almost falling off the bed.
“Oh no, Y/N! I’m so sorry! I promise I’m not being weird!” Leeknow exclaimed, his cheeks flushing a bright pink as he regained his balance, wide eyes darting to Chan and then back to her.
Y/N couldn’t help but giggle at his flustered state. “You’re adorable, you know that?” she teased, stretching her arms overhead and letting out a loud yawn that echoed in the cozy room.
“Welcome back,” Chan said playfully, pulling her body close to his, the warmth of his presence wrapping around her like a soft blanket.
“Hey, Channie,” she mumbled, burying her face in his neck, inhaling his comforting scent. “How long was I out for?” She felt a mix of curiosity and embarrassment.
“About three days,” he replied softly, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, his touch igniting a spark of affection.
“Three days?” she gasped, her eyes widening in disbelief. “Oh no! I’m so behind on my omega duties, aren’t I?” Her brow furrowed, anxiety creeping in despite the relief that coursed through her. She felt great—no aches, no exhaustion—but guilt nagged at her.
“Cupcake?” Changbin’s voice chimed in as he climbed onto the bed, leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. “You don’t have any ‘duties’. Plus, you don’t need to apologize. You look more healthier. You smell so sweet, happy and relaxed”
“i smell so...Sweet?” She furrowed her brows, searching her body before gasping. “My scent is back?” Excitement bubbled up within her as she sat up, touching her glands and releasing a wave of pheromones that filled the room with a delicate, inviting fragrance.
“Okay, okay! I know you’re excited, babe, but don’t choke us with it!” Leeknow coughed dramatically, waving a hand in front of his face as if to fan away the air.
Y/N giggled, lightly tapping his back. “I’m sorry! I just haven’t smelled like me in ages!”
“And you smell absolutely amazing,” Chan added, fingers playing gently with her hair, his touch soothing her frayed nerves.
“Thank you, Oppa,” she smiled, her heart swelling with warmth. Her gaze drifted around the room, taking in the piles of bags and clothes. “What have you guys been up to?”
“Practicing and practicing and practicing,” Changbin growled, rubbing his shoulder with a playful wince. “You know, the usual.”
“It’s been so boring without you,” Leeknow chimed in, crossing his arms dramatically. “At least we don’t have to go in until 3 PM today.” He laid back down on the bed and started to type on his phone before Chan started to speak.
“Speaking of which, Y/N,” Chan said softly, a hint of authority in his tone, “I need you to start unpacking your room and all these bags. This mess is driving me crazy.”
“Okay oppa, Can you show me where my room is?” she asked, her voice brightening. “And do we have anything planned for the day?” She felt Chan begin to massage her shoulders, easing the last remnants of tension.
“Yeah, I’ll let Felix and Han help you out. And you’re coming with us to the studio later; Mama Bin is leaving today,” he replied, a soft smile on his lips.
Y/N’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she turned to Changbin. “I need to meet her and thank her for taking care of me. She was so nice.”
“She’s downstairs, cupcake. Go ahead whenever you’re ready,” Changbin encouraged, his grin infectious.
“Okay, I will,” she said, already feeling the anticipation bubbling within her as she hopped off the bed, eager to start her day.

I’ve got an idea as well: Older husband Cillian showing his young wife how to please him properly xx
Hii, thank you for the request!<3 I am always a sucker for some older husband Cillian:)
Hands on mine
warning: age gap, first time bj, oral (m), dirty and sweet talk, nothing too filthy:)
pairing: older husband!Cillian x younger wife!Reader
summary: Cillian teaches his little wife how to please him
The marriage between them caused a bit of a stir within the crowd, the big age gap was there, but who cares as long as you are utterly in love? Their chemistry was undeniable and the sex was amazing.
But as she was soaking in her bath, she couldn’t stop thinking about one thing. Cillian was always down to keep with his younger wife’s big appetite, doing his best to please her and fuck her until both of their bodies were spent. However, he never asked for her to please him back. It’s not like she didn’t want to, she did, but she was so scared of hurting him in some way. It soothed her that he was perfectly satisfied with her pussy, but sometimes she wished that he would just grab her head and shove his cock down her throat.
Cillian was her first in everything, which meant that she never sucked cock before. She jerked him off for half minutes just before he was about to penetrate her, but nothing more.
As she thought more about it, the more she felt her mouth salivating at the thought of pleasing him. She got out of her bath, dried herself and put on a lacy tank top and cotton panties. She knew that Cill would be in the living room, reading a book on his beloved armchair.
And of course, there he was. In sweatpants and a thin shirt, his reading glasses sat on top of his nose and his face was one of concentration. God, he looked so good.
While he was lost in his book, he suddenly noticed a pair of feet padding into his peripheral vision, before he knew it, his sweet little wife was making herself comfortable on his lap, demanding his complete attention without any words. With his book now put aside on the side table, he wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head.
“Hello there, sweetheart.” He whispered into her ear. He was so smitten with her, he could smell the sweet vanilla scent of her bodywash and his hands caressed her skin that was barely covered. His brows furrowed when he noticed the slight pout on her lips. “What’s wrong?”
She moved to straddle him and moved her face close to his, she looked deeply into his baby blues and said. “I want you to teach me.”
Her closeness made his body warm up. “Teach you what, darling?” He whispered, her cotton clad pussy was sitting right on top of his hardening cock, he could even feel her warm heat.
“I want to please you, suck your cock.” She murmured shyly, which made him chuckle and caress her hair lovingly.
“Oh, my little doe, you had me worried there. But, you just want to be good for daddy, eh?” She just nodded eagerly.
“I-I want to learn how to make you feel good, because you always make me feel so good with your mouth, daddy. I want to do the same thing.” Her hand wandered down to his crotch and started palming him through the thin fabric. He hissed at the sudden contact, her clever little hands felt so good on him.
Before she could take him out, his hands grabbed her face. “Are you sure, little doe? I don’t want you to feel like you have to do this.”
She just giggled and kissed him. “I’m sure, daddy.”
“Well, then… On your knees.” He said to her in a deeper voice, the voice when she knew not to disobey him or she would be punished. In contrast to his voice, he planted a kiss on her temple, just so she knew that they could stop anytime.
She dropped to her knees and started to pull his pants down, along with his underwear. Cillian was petting her while she was doing it. “Very good, take me out, my pet.”
His demanding voice made her feel more excited to be finally doing it. When his nearly fully hard dick sprang up in her face and against his stomach, she grabbed it with her delicate hand and started jerking him off slowly. He grunted at the contact, never taking his eyes off of her. “Spit in your palm, it’s going to be better for me and easier for you.” She did as he told her and it actually was better, her hand now gilded easily up and down his member. “You can do it more tightly—“ he put his hands on hers, guiding her. “—just like that. Hands on mine, let’s go a bit faster, hm?” He put his hand back on her head when she had the perfect grip on him.
“Just stay calm and do what feels natural for you.” He sensed her nervousness.
“I-I don’t really know what to do, daddy…” She looked up at him sadly from her kneeling position and he felt his heart melting.
“Okay, so… Start with little kisses, and an occasional little licks here and there.” His voice was laced with pleasure, especially when she planted a kiss on his tip. “Oh, fuck—right there, doe, that is where it feels good for me the most.” She kept on kissing and licking at his tip, tasting the precum that was beading from his slit. His tip was smooth and warm, she enjoyed having it in her mouth. She suddenly had an idea, she ran her wet tongue from his base to his tip, when she got up to the top, she took his pulsing tip into her mouth and sucked on it. “OH—- You’re doing so good… So, so very good for daddy. Keep on sucking.” His hand tangled itself into her silky soft hair. After a few minutes, she let him slip into her mouth a bit more, with hollowing her cheeks she started to bobbing her head up and down on his cock. Her lips smiled around him when she heard his moaning and his fingers tightening in her hair, it felt so rewarding.
She still didn’t relax completely, she was constantly careful not to scrape his sensitive skin with her teeth and she was doing very well.
Feeling his palm pushing her even more down, she was trying to fight the urge to gag. She took a deep sigh and relaxed her throat, letting his big cock slip into her throat. “My god, doe, you are doing amazing! You are pleasing daddy so much!”
She deepthroated him a few times before he pulled her head off of him by her hair. He chuckled darkly when he heard her whining. “Hush, sweetheart. I’m going to show you another thing you can do to make daddy feel good.” Now she was listening with big eyes. “Touch me lower, touch my balls. Lick them, fondle them or suck them.” She lowered her hair to kiss all around his testicles. She gently palmed them and started to kiss them, occasionally letting her tongue dart out for a taste.
When his moans faltered and she got bored, her slightly swollen lips wrapped around his dick again. She let his hand dictate the pace, he was rough and gentle at the same time, something only her husband was capable of doing.
“Just a bit more, my little love.” He urged, barely being able to talk, the feeling of her warm and wet mouth all around him was swallowing him up. He didn’t let her break eye contact, he needed to see his pretty little wife to be able to cum.
He warned her before he came, giving her time to pull off, even if he wanted nothing more than to paint her mouth with his seed and have himself deep in her tummy. To his surprise, she kept on sucking on him and using her hands at the same time. Of course she would swallow, she was his good little girl who was always hungry for his load.
“I’m there! I’m coming, my darling— OHH YES!” She felt her mouth fill with his thick and warm load. She gulped it down eagerly, enjoying the feeling of her belly filling up with him. She pulled off when his meaty thighs twitched from sensitivity, then she gave him one last peck and tucked him back into his pants.
He smiled when she wiped the remaining cum off the corners of her mouth with her fingers, only to lick them clean.
He reached down and put her back in his lap, kissing her all around her face at which she giggled at. He saw that he tired her out, so he gently cooed to her.
“My good little wife, always so good to me. You did so well, the best blowie I ever got. Thank you, my darling.”
She nuzzled her face into his neck, smiling softly and enjoying his gentle caressing.
“Rest now, sweetheart. You deserve it.”
When he felt her nearly falling asleep, he kissed her hair again before picking his book up. His little wife asleep in his lap, with her tummy full of his seed, he smiled knowing that she was his.

This one shot will contain things some readers might find unsettling and/or triggering. PLEASE DONT READ IF THIS IS SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH!!
Warnings include: strong language, being alone in the conjuring house basement, reader being touched and spoken to, hair pulling, pushing, reader feeling like they're being controlled by spirits, reader having visions, angry Colby, mild fighting, arguing, mentions of puking, general spooky stuff - read with care my lovelies ily!
I will be using Sam and Colby's SAWATCH Part 3: The Basement as reference in this one shot but only for when the three go to the gravesite and then into the basement together. I will be adding some stuff in to make it flow since the reader is being written in, so everything won't be 100% accurate to the video itself.

╔═══━━━─── • ───━━━═══╗
You don't know how Sam and Colby were asleep right now. You don't know why you even agreed to coming here for a few nights - if you can even last that long.
Maybe because you were more worried about Colby?
Maybe because you were actually really interested in the history that surrounds the house itself?
You were also an investigator. You'd think you'd be used to this stuff by now? But you're not. Nothing could have prepared you for what this house holds within the walls.
You sit up, glancing over at Colby who's softly snoring on his cot that, is in fact, under the table like he said he was going to do. You smile slightly as you lay back down, snuggling into your blanket.
You try to remind yourself that Abigail is there to protect you, and that helps, but only a little bit.
You suddenly felt a chill roll over your body, one that a few blankets wouldn't be able to calm.
"Y/n."
You slowly turn over on to your back, sitting up slowly, "Colby?" You whisper, but he doesn't move, "Sam?" He continues to lay there and you take a deep breath, realizing that it wasn't them who said your name.
"Y/n."
Your head tilts slowly as you watch a figure walk past the door frame, left to right, "Hello?" You call out quietly, but nothing answers.
Sam stirs in his sleep slightly, but nothing drastic.
Your eyes shoot back up to the door as you felt like you seen something in the corner of your eye, a face peaking around.
The spin chilling creak of a door opening slowly causes you to freeze, even your breath is held.
You stare at the dark opening for a few seconds before letting out the breath you've been holding.
You go to lay back down and you hear another whisper, "Go."
Your legs swing over the edge, feet planted flat on the floor as your hands move the blanket. Your stare is held on the darkness on the other side of the dimly lit door frame.
Mind on one thing. The basement.
You walk past Sam's cot, glancing back at Colby before slowly looking back into the darkness.
You know you shouldn't go down there at all, let alone by yourself.
Colby made you and Sam both promise not to go down there before going together. He even promised both of you that he wouldn't either.
As you round the corner, you stop as your eyes fixate on the specific door - that you know for a fact opened by something that wants you down there.
Are you going?
You wish you didn't, but you feel like you don't have any other choice.
You walk over to the door, placing a hand on the knob as you look around the door and down the lit stairwell.
Without taking another glance back towards the boys, you're heading down to the basement.
Alone.
But in reality. You're never alone when you're at the conjuring house.
You step gently on each step, careful not to make any loud noise. As you reach the small platform mid way, you stop, staring at the half lit room.
Part of you wants to turn around, high tail it back up the steps and go back to bed, but a bigger part of you wanted to try and get answers.
You wanted to know why, ever since you arrived, the basement has been - literally, calling your name.
You didn't want to give them, too much of your trust, no matter how human they sound.
"Abigail. Are you here with me?" You whisper, snapping your head to the table and chairs when a knocking sound comes from that area, "Knock again if that was you."
Another knock sounds and you walk over, slowly sitting down in the chair. Your eyes move from the well back to the table, "why am I here?"
"The woods."
Your body settles back into the chair and you get a sudden flash of the tree line, "The woods." You repeat, but in a much quieter tone, "Why?"
"Meet us."
You tilt your head, smiling slightly, "You're the trickster, Dave. Aren't you?"
It's silent for a few second, but then you're left in total darkness as the light turns off.
You can feel your heart rate pick up slightly, "I'm not going to the woods alone." Something clinks on the ground and you blow air through your nose, "Dave. Did you call me down here?"
You feel a light brush on your shoulder, but you don't jump. Something in you knew it was a loving touch, from Abigail.
"Do you want me to leave?" You lay your hands flat on the table, getting ready to stand up. A loud whisper in your hear causes you to sit right back down, "No!"
You close your eyes, slowly reopening them. You turn towards the direction of the stairs, staring for a few seconds before turning back to the table.
How did I get here, you think to yourself, but you already knew the answer to that.
Even though you were fully aware of what you were doing and what was happening around you, you didn't feel like you right now.
You knew you were sitting in the place you shouldn't be, but it's like you didn't have control over your mind and body.
As you're sitting there waiting for anything else to happen, you get a chill up your spine, and a feeling in the pit of your stomach that you cannot shake off.
You hear foot steps upstairs and your eyes are glued to the ceiling, waiting for either Sam or Colby to call for you, but nothing sounds.
As you turn your head, you get a quick vision of a soldier standing outside of the upstairs window, looking in.
"Are they watching Sam and Colby?" You ask and you can feel your hands start to shake. You wait for an answer but then it feels like you were released from your hold.
You shake your head and take a deep breath, "What am I doing here?" You stand up, laughing slightly as you turn to walk towards the steps.
Footsteps sounding behind you cause internal panic, now that you're.. yourself again.
You book it up the steps, quickly turning out to close the door and holding it closed for a few seconds before you turn and make your way back to where the boys were.
Still sound asleep.
You push your cot closer to Colby, what just happened in the basement haunting you. You lay down, facing him and basically bury yourself in the blanket.
Every little noise causes your body to jump ever so slightly.
Why did I do that?
Why did I break a promise?
It wasn't you, you try to convince yourself, it wasn't you.
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
You barely got any sleep the rest of the night. You were awake when you hear Sam stir around and sit up.
You closed your eyes, pretending to be asleep.
Colby moves his arm from over your body and you pretend to stir. He brushes hair from your face, "Hey."
You open your eyes, pretending that you just woke up, "Mm, hi."
"Get scared last night?" Colby asks with a quiet chuckle and your heart starts to pound, "Yeah, I couldn't really sleep without being close to you."
He nods, "It's understandable." He leans in, pecking your forehead with his lips. You sit up, forcing a stretch before standing up to move your cot.
"How'd everyone sleep?" Sam asks slipping on his sweatshirt.
"I honestly don't think I woke up once." Colby stands up, stretching, "I think someone got a little spooked in the middle of the night."
He nods towards you and you laugh slightly, trying to cover up your nervousness, "Yeah. It was pretty creepy."
"Glad to know that there was a cuddle party going on while I was over here all alone, hot and ready for whatever wanted to drag me away." Sam holds his arms out, trying not to laugh, "What the fuck?"
Colby tilts his head, walking over and hugging Sam, "Oh I'm so sorry, brother. Come here." He squeezes him and you laugh, shaking your head as you grab your little travel bag and head for the bathroom.
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
You felt different all day and you were scared either of them would pick up on it, more Colby than anything.
You kept drifting off, thinking about everything that happened when you were down there. How you felt, what you heard.
You were torn between telling Colby and just waiting until they were done filming for the night, but at the same time, he'd probably find out regardless because of the cameras the owners have set up in the corners of the house.
So you decided it'd be better to tell him sooner rather than later, but that was going to have to wait as you were on your way to check out the graveyard.
You kept thinking about how mad Colby was going to be. He was going to be far from happy. You hated when you argued, which honestly wasn't that often, but you knew this was going to be a big one.
"Hey." Sam bumps into you, "You alright?"
You look up at him, "Oh yeah. I'm just anxious because of the woods and it being dark, ya know?"
He nods, "I know what you mean. I'm actually quite nervous myself." He chuckles and looks behind him, "You ready Colby?"
Colby walks up, wrapping his arm around your waist, "Yes." He nods, "I am."
You lay your head on his shoulder, taking in the happy Colby as much as you can before your words, eventually, ruin his mood.
Sam turns the camera on, light shining towards Colby as he walks forward, "Before we go to the grave site, we thought we'd stop where I talked to Dave, under the Estes method, earlier this week."
You follow behind them, shining your light on the trees. You feel like your eyes are playing heavy tricks on you, but after that night, you just felt like you were going nuts.
"So again." Colby's voice causes you to snap out of your thoughts and you walk up next to Sam as Colby continues talking, "After the past few days, we've heard the name, Dave." He points, "Specifically, super clear, on the Alice box, in the forest over there when we camped out. But, we were introduced to him right around these graves, so.."
Colby steps back, opening his arms as he moves around, looking side to side, "Dave.. if you're around, or any other soldiers. Feel free to follow if you can hear me."
"We have a long hike." Sam says and you groan, "Oh great."
Colby chuckles, "I mean the last investigation last night.." he looks at Sam, "Come find out? Thats like, the scariest thing they can say."
Sam laughs, "that's like, the most ominous thing any spirit has ever told us."
As you walk, you keep hearing things in the woods behind you, "Jesus fuck." You whisper, walking quicker to be closer to Colby.
He reaches his hand back, wiggling his fingers for you to take his hand.
You grip his hand, not letting go for anything. You shine your flashlight with your other hand and it starts to flicker before going out then turning right back on.
Sam and Colby stop, turning back to look at you then down to your flash light.
"I'm not even going to say anything." Sam says and you nod once, "please don't."
Colby squeezes your hand and you look up at him, smiling slightly at him, "You're good." He nods, "I got you."
That made you feel ten times worse.
You feel like you could puke.
Your nerves, between the basement and walking through the woods you were warned not to go into, were almost shot.
"Here's what scares me.." Colby starts out as he stops walking. You let go of his hand as Sam turns the camera to him, "Most of the spirits have these, like quiet knocks, but the one downstairs was way louder. It had more power. It had more energy, and we were on concrete."
"Last time we were.. in the woods, the only things we really heard was that it wanted to attack and stalk us.."
Sam's words cause your heart to beat faster - now you really felt like you were going to puke.
What if you're what they, the spirits, were attacking, stalking?
You feel dizzy, but you weren't sure if it was from the woods or just your guilty conscience.
".. man in the woods might be following us right now." Sam finishes and you lay a hand on your head, thinking that it might just be whoever Sam is talking about.
"Y/n." Colby's voice causes you to lift your head, "Are you okay?" He walks up to you and Sam shines the light on you, "What's going on?"
"I'm just.. dizzy right now." You shrug, "It started when Sam said they wanted to attack and stalk us."
Now you're just totally confused on why you're dizzy because there's a dozen things that could be causing your dizziness right now.
Colby wraps an arm around you, "Do you need to sit or anything?"
You shake your head, "It went away now, let's just keep moving." You motion forward and you all walk on.
A little bit later, you push through some brush and Colby shines his light, "Oh god. Where'd the path go?"
Sam turns around, "This is where we came from, but there's three paths."
"Pink ribbons right?" Colby asks and Sam nods, "Yeah I think, they're supposed to be pink ribbons."
"There's a blue ribbon over here." Colby shines his light and Sam walks down another path, "I can't see anything down here."
You follow Colby and he yells to Sam, "Oh, here we go. Here we go!"
"Pink?" Sam asks walking over and Colby nods, looking back towards him, "Yeah."
Colby grabs your hand, leading you down the path as Sam points the camera to the pink ribbon on the tree.
"It's like a river up here." Colby says, "Oh I remember this from two years ago!"
"Yeah isn't there some sort of.. like pond? Or something?" Sam asks and you stare at the ground, trying not to trip over the rocks that are sticking out.
"It's right there." Colby points and Sam nods, "Oh, oh oh yeah! I-I just remembered going to the side of that. So we just gotta figure out - Wait." Sam says and you jump slightly as he turns the camera towards you. You laugh, "Just frogs, Sam."
"Oh god, that scared the fuck out of me." Sam laughs slightly you guys keep walking.
"Okay so you said this way?" Colby points his flashlight and Sam nods, "Well, we just gotta get to the other side of this." He points, "If I remember."
As you're walking through trees, Colby shines his light, "Oh yeah pink ribbon."
"Pink ribb-" Sam stops, "Wait." You and Colby stop, both looking at Sam as he walks up to Colby, "What the fuck was that dude?"
Colby looks at him confused.
"I hear two of your voice, like in that research section.. where like, it echoed." Sam says and Colby looks out in front of him, "Hello?"
Sam pans the camera and you guys wait for a second before Sam shrugs, "I don't know, that was weird." He sighs, "Let's keep going."
"I don't know why I agreed to coming here." You shake your head, laughing. Colby stops waiting for you to catch up to him and he leans in, kissing your head as he gives you side hug, "You love the adventure."
You smile, nodding, "Yeah, I guess so."
After a little bit more walking, the feeling of it being just the three of you, quickly started to subdue.
"We are really in the middle of nowhere." Sam says and Colby blows out air, "We've been walking, guys, for like ten minutes maybe? Fifteen?"
"fifteen." Sam nods, "Yeah probably. I just checked though, we have zero service, too."
Sam pans the camera, "We are really out in the middle of the woods, alone."
Suddenly a noise from the woods catches all of your attention, getting you all to stop in your tracks.
"What the fuck was that?" Sam whispers and Colby shrugs, whispering quickly, "Wait, whoa whoa." He turns, pointing to the woods.
Sam steps around and you move close to Sam.
"What? What was that?" Sam whispers and Colby presses his finger to his lips before pointing, and staring out at the woods.
Sam pans the camera to the direction Colby's pointing.
All you hear right now is the crickets and buzzing of other insects.
You feel a slightly eerie feeling wash over your body and you take a quiet and slow deep breath.
Colby's stare is held on the woods as he brings his hand to the side of his neck, "Alright, let's just.. keep moving, I guess?"
You walk down the dark path, all on high alert.
The woods were scary, and being told not to go there was even scarier.
"I think I see it." Colby said and you feel a slight bit of relief, mainly because you were over walking right now.
"What?" Sam questions and Colby shines his light ahead of him more, "I think that is it up here."
"Oh fuck dude." Sam says and you and Colby stop and look at Sam.
"What?" You and Colby say in unison.
"This-this light just died." Sam says and you take a deep breath as you tilt your head back, "Great."
"You're lying." Colby says, walking up to Sam. Sam shakes his head, "No this light had like thirty five minutes of battery left.. look at it."
Colby walks up to Sam and looks down at the camera that's pointed to the ground, "Let me look."
"Look. It's out of battery." Sam states and Colby shakes his head, "Okay. Let me film that because no body is going to believe that."
"Right there." Sam points to the screen, "That is actually so strange."
"Is this one charged at least." Colby questions and you lay a hand on your forehead, looking around. You feel eyes on you but you don't see anything whatsoever.
"Yeah, that one is charged." Sam nods, "That's the graveyard?"
"I think." Colby answers and Sam points to the camera, "And this just died?"
"What the fuck." You mumble, running a hand through your hair, "what the fuck."
There's a sound behind you and you all turn around, "What was that?" Sam whispers and you shrug, staring out into the woods.
Sam lays his arm over you, moving you back with him as he steps backwards, "Footsteps, footsteps."
Colby grabs your hand, pulling you with him as you run away from where the sound came from.
"I'm just scared of like, what's taking the energy. Like why did we get lured out here? And then what's like-"
Sam cuts Colby off, "Wait, dude. What if all of our lights just go out? Like there's no way we're gonna be able to get back."
"No I know." Colby nods as he continues walking, "that's why we should make this quick."
You walk up to the gravestones and sam shines the camera, "Here it is."
"This is it." Colby adds, "This was like, a lot more overgrown last time we were here."
You walk ahead a little more, shining your light on the stones as you walk by to stay with Sam and Colby.
"All the graves, guys." Sam says as he shows the camera.
Colby bends down in front of one, "George. George baker."
Sam whispers the camera away, "What the fuck was that?"
Colby continues, "Another George." You tap Colby to get his attention and you point to Sam as he speaks, "Footsteps. Footsteps. Footstep, dude!"
Colby shines his light into the trees and Sam follows it with his camera, "What the fuck is that? Dude."
You move between Sam and Colby, your heart beating faster and faster with each second.
You're all silent for a little bit as you look around to try and find the source of the sound.
"Is that tree-"
Sam cuts Colby off, "Something moving in the tree." He shakes his head, "Alright, let's just go over to James."
You move around to walk over and Sam sighs, "oh god, I can't see shit, dude."
Colby shines his light, making sure you're good before shining it onto a grave, "Oh wait, it's this one."
Sam points the camera, "There it is." He bends down slightly, "James had a god dang pentagram as if he was getting summoned into the house."
Sam talks about James and you zone out, the guilt of going to the basement slowly consuming you again.
"Eighteen sixty five. That's a hundred years before the Perron's were even here." Colby faces the camera and Sam nods, "These people might know, what's been in the woods. You know, if they've been here for this long.."
Colby nods, "okay so we have the EMF and we brought the Alice box, right?"
Sam nods, "Yeah." He looks to you and you raise your hand, "Yeah, I have it."
"Last time the Alice box gave us pretty much the direct intentions-" Sam stops talking, panning the camera out into the darkness.
You and colby shine your lights on the tree before Sam goes back to talking, the direct intentions of the people that were out in the woods so hopefully they can give us that again."
You walk over, standing next to Colby as he takes the camera from Sam. You take your backpack off, getting out the Alice box for him.
Sam takes it before walking over to crouch down in front of James' headstone, "James. We came here a couple years ago. I don't know if you recognize us, you came back to the conjuring house with us. We're really just.. coming out here to look for some answers."
He pauses before speaking again, "lot of people are scared of the woods."
The box beeps and Sam looks down, "Oh fuck." He stands up, looking between you and Colby, "Dude."
"What?" Colby asks and Sam holds the box up slightly, his stare on Colby.
"Knife." The box plays and Sam repeats it, "Knife."
"Knife!?" You and Colby ask at the same time.
"First word is knife?" Sam asks, completely shocked.
"What's that even mean?" Colby asks and Sam looks back down at the box as it beeps, "Late." He looks up, "Late at night?"
Colby shrugs and you wrap your arms around yourself as Sam asks more, "Do you happen to have any idea who the man from the woods is? He's being very cryptic with the way he was telling us to come out to the woods."
You press your fingers to your lips, watching as Sam moves around to set the equipment against the stone.
After a few minutes, the box beeps again.
Sam leans down and Colby gasps, reaching out to point, "Oh that just spiked up!"
"Violent?" Sam reads and the box replays the word, "Violent."
All three of you shout out the word, shocked.
"What ever was out here." Sam starts, "In the woods, a couple of days ago, was trying to attack us."
"You said, violent-"
The box beeping cuts Colby off and Sam leans down, "Violent land!"
A sound causes Sam to look to his right, and Colby moves the camera, "What!? What!?"
"I saw- I just saw something move to the right." Sam points and Colby taps you with his hand, "Wait, point your flashlight over there."
You point your flashlight and the Alice box beeps again, "Spell."
Colby whips the camera back to the stone and you keep your light to where Sam saw something, but you look over at the boys.
"Spell." Sam says and Colby tilts his head, "The alphabet."
You stare out at the trees, zoning out for a second before the beeping of the alice box causing you to look over, "Levitation."
"Levitation!" Colby says loudly as Sam yells, "Oh my fucking god."
"Oh fuck." You shake your head, "There's no way."
"Wait wait wait." Sam whispers quickly, "does that mean from the thing from the woods, was the thing that caused the levitation of the seance in Nineteen seventy four?"
"I don't know." Colby answers, "But it's like threatening a violent levitation, like I can do that, too."
Sam covers his mouth, same as you, "Oh my god."
"Or it, it, it's just mocking the story." Colby says quickly, right before the Alice box beeps again, "Cycle."
"Oh fuck." Sam says looking up at Colby. Colby holds his hand out, "It's like it's gonna happen again."
Sam repeats, "It's gonna happen again."
You shiver slightly, "This is fucking wild. What the fuck, I don't like this."
Colby looks at you and Sam, "I don't like this." Sam nods, "I don't like this at all."
The box beeps again, "Alignment."
All three of you repeat the word in unison, "Alignment."
"Something's about to happen." Sam waves his hand in front of him, "Levitation. Violent land."
"Colby. Colby." You tap him a few times and point, "There's like.. a light or something over there."
Sam stands up, walking over to you guys and turning to look where you're pointing, "A light? Where?"
"Yeah, there's like a flash of light over there." Sam point and you and Sam shine your flashlights in the direction it's coming from.
Your flashlight dies and you look up at Sam shocked, "What the fuck?" You look down as you tap it a few times against your hand, "it's.. it's not working."
Colby scoffs, "I don't like that we only have one flashlight now."
"I'm actually really anxious about that." You say and the Alice box beeps, catching all of your attentions.
Colby bends down with the camera, "Fight."
Sam repeats the word in a whisper and Colby stands back up, "What's that mean?" Sam shakes his head and Colby sighs, "We're gonna have to fight? It- dude. It's all like, malicious words. The fact that it said levitation, and cycle, and alignment?"
"Yeah, it's like something's about to happen." Sam stares up at colby who nods, "Yeah, it's like this is about to be the same thing, every few years."
Colby takes a deep breath, "So how do we figure out who we're talking to? I think that's the main thing here."
Sam stands up, looking at colby, "How bout this.. we're not talking to anybody else. Just you..."
As Sam continues asking questions and talking, you start to feel dizzy again.
Your heart starts racing and you can feel your hands start to shake, just like they did in the basement.
You close your eyes, trying to calm yourself down, but you start to feel like not yourself anymore.
You can tell that you're taking slow steps backwards, and you know that you shouldn't do that. You don't want to do that.
You open your eyes and gasp for air, it was almost like your breath was being held.
Sam and Colby's whip their heads around and Colby walks back to you, "Whoa, hey. What's happening?"
You shake your head, breathing heavy, "As.. Sam was.. talking.." you take a breath, holding it for a few seconds before you blow out the air, "I felt myself get dizzy, so I closed my.. eyes to try and get it to stop and I felt myself taking steps backwards. It felt like I wasn't breathing because when I-I opened my eyes I just gasped."
Colby wraps his arm around you, looking back at Sam, "okay, let's just go ba-"
"No." You cut him off, "I'm fine."
Colby states at you, "Y/n. I don't want you getting hurt. That's not why we're doing this." You nod, "I know, Colby. I know, but I want to keep doing this. This is.. this is stuff we need to get. If anything else happens, I'll tell you but.. I'm not stopping here, we're already deep into this."
Colby glances back to Sam and Sam shrugs, "She knows her limits, Colby. If she wants to keep going, I say we move to another spot because we aren't getting any names here."
Colby nods, looking back at you, "You sure you're fine?"
You nod, "Yes, Colby. I'm good."
He nods, taking your hand in his as you follow Sam to a new area. As soon as you stop walking, Sam holds up the Alice box, "Dog."
The Alice box goes off, "Dog."
Sam's head snaps to his left and Colby moves the camera to his right, "What is that!?" He asks, fear coating every word.
Sam shines his flashlight and Colby gasps, "What the fuck is that!?"
"That.. sounds like breathing." You whisper, holding onto Colby's arm, "What the fuck."
"Yeah, that sounds like.. h-heavy breathing." Colby pulls you close to him as he keeps the camera on Sam who tries to mimic the sound.
"Dog." Colby whispers after a moment of silence. Sam stares at Colby with his jaw slightly dropped. It drops more when the heavy breathing sound happens again.
"That's fucking insane." You whisper leaning out around Colby to look where Sam has his light shining.
Colby puts the camera back on Sam as he speaks, "Wait, that sounds like.. like an, instrument or something."
Sam imitates a horn sound and Colby nods, "Yeah, that's like a bass. I don't even know how to describe that." He walks a few steps away and Sam continues to ask questions, "What is that coming? Do you know?"
Colby stop, turning back around. Sam's voice goes down to a whisper, "Wait, wait. Voices."
Colby nods, "Voices, voices, voices. Wait!" He turns the camera to his right and then back to Sam, "I'm turning this off."
Colby switches the camera light off and Sam turns his flashlight off, leaving you in total darkness.
You get a strange feeling, feeling like you're back in the basement of the house.
You keep yourself calm, trying not to panic because this is a feeling you do not like, at all.
"Fuck." Sam curses, "What do we do."
It's quiet for a few seconds, then Colby speaks up, "Is that you, in the woods?"
The Alice box beeping causes you to jump, "Shit."
Sam whispers right before the Alice box says the word, "Teacher.. who is the teacher?" Sam switches his flashlight back on,
Colby gasps, his voice slightly louder, "What was that? That- dude."
"It's coming." Sam whispers and the next thing you know, Colby grabs your arm and is pulling you along as he walks away, Sam following.
"I don't want to go too fast." Colby whispers, turning back to look at Sam, "Because like, I actually think somebody's over there."
You stop and Colby shakes his head, "I'm not kidding."
The light turns off and you listen for a few seconds before Colby whispers, "You hear that?"
"No." You answer in a whisper. Sam shakes his head, "No, no I don't."
"Just wait. Just wait." Colby whispers quietly, squeezing your hand that's clinging to his, "Something is making noise."
"Something over there." Sam says as he's lit up by the red light blinking. Colby turns his head, "Now it's this way." He turns his body and sam turns too, "There's more voices?"
Colby turns again, "Now it's this way."
"Okay." Sam starts, "We're getting fucking surrounded."
"Again, again, again." Colby says taking over talking, "Okay."
The Alice box beeps and everyone waits for it to speak, "Dave."
Your heart falls into your stomach and you instantly feel your mouth watering like you're about to throw up.
"Oh my god." You lay your hand that isn't in Colby's, on your forehead.
"Dave, if you want to come back to the conjuring house with us, please follow us right now, we gotta go back." Sam speaks in one quick sentence.
"Please." Colby pleads and Sam keeps talking, "there's people surrounding us, we gotta go"
Colby holds your hand tight as he pulls you along with him, running after Sam.
"Wait, we don't have a light!" Colby yells after Sam to get him to stop. Sam turns around as you and Colby catch up to him, "Then we gotta stick together real close."
You guys run a little bit further before slowing down, "Look dude I don't want to go too fast."
The Alice box beeps and Sam looks down at it. Colby moves closer and the box sounds, "Special."
"Special?" Colby asks and Sam looks around, "Dave is special?" You walk a little bit more and Sam looks around, "there's probably actually people or something in the woods because we're hearing like weird voices-"
"Wait, wait, wait." Colby whispers, getting everyone to stop. You press your body against his back, closing your eyes as the feeling of puking returns.
What?" Sam asks and Colby leans in to whisper, "I just wanna see if we can hear what's actually out here."
It's silent, nothing but the insects for a few minutes.
"Is that a dog?" Colby asks, "It said dog."
"Dogs." Sam says with a nod.
"We're in the middle of the woods. That makes no sense." Colby whispers and Sam looks at Colby, "We're two miles in the middle of the woods-"
Sam stops talking as a noise close by makes you all freeze.
"What was that?!" Colby asks loudly.
"It literally sounds like a war horn or something." Sam says and Colby mimics the sound, "rrrrrrr."
"Like I said. Something is fucking about to start-"
Colby cuts sam off, "That's not like a car engine." Sam shakes his head, "No way. We should probably actually get back."
Sam looks at the battery percentages of the lights, "And our light's like halfway done, yours is out. Hers is out, too." Sam looks around for a second, "There's tons of dogs around."
Colby nods, "Okay. Let's go." He squeezes your hand, "Let's go."
The main focus for all of you right now, is getting back to the house.
Which you do, about twenty minutes later.
You make your way into the house, your eyes land on the door to the basement as soon as you walk in.
Your mind flashes back to you sitting down there in the chair, and you shiver as you remember the clinking sound that happened all over again.
"Everyone alright?" Sam asks as he walks through the door.
"Yeah I'm good. Are you good?" Colby pokes your shoulder and you nod, forcing a smile up at him, "Yeah, I'm good."
He nods, looking to Sam, "Ready?" Sam nods and Colby holds the camera up towards Sam.
Sam sighs, "Dude. We just got back to the house." He reaches back to close the door, "And it says one start of battery. We left and it was full. These things should last like, five hours?"
"Something was draining our power out in the woods." Colby's says and Sam nods, "genuinely. All of it. Something was taking a lot of the energy to follow us back. We invited it back."
Colby tilts his head, laughing slightly, "That could have been a mistake."
Sam pauses for a second, glancing over at you then back to Colby, "Well find out."
Colby turns the camera off and looks at Sam, "Are we ready?"
Sam stares at Colby and laughs nervously, "Now or never right?"
Colby looks at you, "Are you ready?"
You swallow, "I'm making myself not have a choice." You laugh and Colby walks up to you, embracing you in a hug.
You could cry.
You could puke.
You knew once you said something it was going to be a rough next couple of hours, even a day.
"Alright." Sam claps his hands together, "Let's do this."
Sam takes the camera and walks over to the door.
Colby walks over, standing off to the side and you're right next to him.
It felt like your heart was going to beat right through your chest. You weren't afraid of the basement. You were scared of how much disappointment Colby was going to feel when you finally told him.
Which you decided was going to be right now.
Sam reaches forward, grabbing the knob to twist. He pulls the door open.
Colby takes a deep breath, "Ahhh, my heart.. started beating faster as soon as I looked down there." He nods, looking to Sam then back to the stairs, "Abigail. Hopefully you were following us in the woods, but please, please please, I know you don't like it in the basement.. please follow us down here. We won't be too long. We need your help."
You get into a line, Colby first. Then you. Then Sam.
You felt like you were shivering because you were shaking from being so nervous.
Your heart was beating loud and hard.
Colby glances back, "Ready?"
Sam answers, but all you do is nod one time.
Colby goes down the steps, you force yourself to follow and Sam is right behind you. The camera light illuminating the stairwell.
You completely miss their commentary about the stairs. Your heart was now beating in your ears.
You knew that it wasn't you, that was down there last night. But you know Colby wasn't going to focus on that right away.
His mind is going to go to you being down there in general.
You reach the bottom and you lay your hand on your cheek. You can feel how nervous your arm by the warmth on your hand.
"Wait." Colby looks at you and Sam, "It's just us this time. This is the first time we're alone in the basement."
You sigh, forcing the words to come out of your mouth, "it's not."
Colby's head snaps towards you, "What did you just say?"
You clear your throat, "It.. um.. it's.." your voice goes quieter, "Not the first time.. for me."
Colby just stares at you, trying to fathom what you just said to him.
"Wait.. so.. you came down here? Alone? When?" Sam asks and you look at him, voice still quiet, "Last night."
"What do you mean last night?" Colby asks, "I don't.. I must not.. understand what you're saying."
"It wasn't.. um.." you wipe the sweat from your palm onto your jeans, "It wasn't me.. like.." you sigh, "It was me.. but it wasn't me, like I didn't feel like myself."
Colby looks away, jaw cocked slightly as he tries to wrap his mind around what's happening.
His silence was deafening.
After a few moments, Sam breaks it, "Can you elaborate, like what do you mean it wasn't.. you?"
You look down, trying to not look at Colby because it would just make it harder for you to talk, "I.. um. I heard my name.. being called. A few times actually. Um, then I seen a figure walk past the door way."
"Wait. Something walked past the door?" Sam asks and you can feel Colby's eyes on you, so you just nod.
"And then what happened." Colby states, his voice a little deeper, clearly with anger.
You look up at him, "I heard a door open, I wasn't sure which one u-"
"Until you got up and came down here?" Colby scoffs and Sam sighs, "Colby, just let her explain."
Colby motions and you swallow again "I tried waking both of you guys up, but neither one you heard me."
"Obviously you didn't do a very good job, now did you?" Colby shakes his head and you sigh, "Colby, I'm telling you. Something took over me. Something made me come down here. I was sitting up for a few minutes, I tried laying back down but something actually told me, whispered, go, and I just.. went."
"That's so weird." Sam says and you nod, looking at him, "Sam. I am deathly afraid of this basement, I told you guys this when you asked me to come out for a night or two. I never wanted to come down here, let alone all by myself. When I tell you that I had absolutely no fear at all about coming down here in the middle of the night, that honestly scared me more than this because you both know I wouldn't just do that."
"Where did you go?" Sam asks and you point to the table and chairs, "I literally just sat, right there in that chair."
You look at Colby and he smacks his lips as he wipes his face. He stares at the place you pointed to and stays silent for a few seconds before breaking his own quietness, "I just.. thought.. when we, uh.. first came here that we made a promise to each other not to come down here alone."
You clench your jaw, "Colby." Your voice breaks slightly, "I didn't feel like I had much of a choice."
He licks his lips, looking down at the items in his hand.
"I-I felt like I needed to come down here, like I just-" you sigh, "If I could have just went to sleep I would have done that."
Colby leans back as he looks at you, not saying anything.
He was mad. Disappointed.
He pushes his lips together, chewing on the inside of his cheek as he thinks about what he wants to say next.
"Colby.. she said something to- you can't blame y/n." Sam sticks up for you, "You and I both know that this house is.. this house is way beyond something else."
Colby sighs, "I-" he pauses, "I get that.. but like.." he looks at you then to Sam, "We said we would go to the basement, together for the first time." He looks to you, staring at you for a few seconds before speaking, "So that's like.." he shakes his head, "I'm not gonna lie, it still just.. sits a little bit wrong with me."
He shrugs, "and that you wouldn't try and wake one of us up harder, you know?" His arms fall to his sides, "This was, like.. a big moment.. for us, Sam."
"I don't think you're actually under-" Sam is cut off by Colby, "She took that.. for herself."
You close your eyes as they start to burn, "I'm sorry." Your voice cracks again, "To both of you."
You open your eyes looking up at Colby slowly. He has his jaw clenched, lips pressed tightly together as he avoids looking at you.
"Do you know what time it was when you got up?" Sam asks lowly and you shrug, "I think it was almost three, or maybe three exactly?"
Colby nods, looking towards you but his eyes are on the floor.
"I just heard my name a few times and then something whispered go and that's when I just wasn't me, Colby. You have to believe that I mean it when I say I'm sorry."
He nods, running his tongue along his teeth on the inside of his lips, thinking about the situation, "I mean.. I just wish.. you know, that you would have woke me up before.. like, it would have been nice to know that something was trying to take over my fucking girlfriend."
"I know." You whisper looking down and Colby shakes his head, letting out a sigh, "Honestly I don't even really want to keep talking about it right now. So let's just.."
"Colby." You walk up to him and he avoids eye contact, "I didn't do it for the camera, or for the channel, or for my channel. I didn't even do it for me."
"But you knew what you were doing?" He looks at you and his stare sends a shiver down your spine, causing the words you want to say to disappear.
You nod, "Yeah bu-"
He cuts you off, shaking his head, "It's fine. I get it. It's all good." He walks into the room with the table and chairs and you look at Sam.
He walks up, laying a hand on your back, rubbing gently, "It's fine. We'll talk more about it after we're done here."
You nod, wiping under your eyes before you follow Colby into the room.
"Dave, the trickster.. Abigail. Whoever's down here, we are gonna be doing the Estes method, and we also believe this is the easiest way of communication." Sam says and you just stand there, staring at the table.
"I actually have an idea." Sam points to Colby, "Before we do the estes method."
A sound causes Colby's eyes to go wide and he points at Sam and Sam gasps, "What the fuck was that?"
Colby holds his hand up, listening to see if the sound happens again.
You were honestly terrified to be down here again. You wanted to move next to Colby but you weren't sure how that would go.
You wrap your arms around yourself, trying to console yourself silently as they continue.
"Dude." Sam says quietly and Colby leans back, "Footsteps."
"What the fuck is that?" Sam whispers quieter and Colby answers, "That was footsteps."
You step closer to the table, voice as quiet as theirs, "I heard footsteps when I was down here, right after I had a vision of a soldier looking in the upstairs window."
Sam snaps his head towards you, "No fucking way."
You nod, glancing over at Colby. He looks at you and looks away, not wanting to talk about it. He points to the wall, "But it sounded like it was in the wall."
Colby reaches out, knocking on the wall, "It was like deep inside."
Sam pans the camera, "If that was you knocking.." he pauses, looking down. Colby steps towards him, "What?"
"I don't know." Sam shakes his head, "just felt like something was grabbing my foot."
"Your foot?" You and Colby say at the same time, but Colby doesn't laugh like usual.
"Yeah, it was like hard to-"
Colby yells, cutting off Sam, "Oh fuck. There's something on me."
"What? For real?" Sam asks walking over you move closer to Sam and lean over to look at Colby's leg.
"For sure, there's some-" he sets his stuff on the table and leans down, pulling up his pant leg slightly, digging in with his fingers.
"what is it?" Sam asks and Colby stands up, putting something on the table, "I don't know."
"Tick?" Sam asks and Colby points with his two fingers, "It was a fucking tick."
"Oh god." Sam groans and you cover your mouth, paranoid that you have one or two on you.
"I knew there was something on me." Colby exclaims, stepping back. He leans down, "Shit man, that is so gross dude. I hate ticks." He picks it up and leans over, flicking it down the well, "go in the well."
"Speaking of the well." Sam starts, " A lot of the things that we've gotten, and a lot of things we've talked about, is the water could be the catalyst for activity."
You raise your brows, "Oh shit."
"What if we.. kinda like how we did in the Dracula's castle episode, why don't we grab some of the well water and use that to maybe like, summon something here." Sam pauses, "If things are coming from that well, at least maybe that's like a trigger object, you know?"
Colby nods, "Yeah. Do we have anything to get the water out with?"
You look around for something and Sam scoffs, "wait, dude. This just turned off." He looks up at Colby, "As soon as you touched- it just did it again."
"See!" Colby says with his hand pointing to Sam.
You walk over to Sam, looking down at the camera and he nods, "Yeah, it just turned off again!"
"It's not just me." Colby shrugs while holding his hands out to his sides. Sam nods, "It's not just you."
Colby nods, "So maybe it was a warning, not to do that."
"Are you still going to do it?" You ask looking between them. Colby looks down at the well for a few seconds before looking up at Sam with a smirk on his lips.
His eyes go to you then back to Sam, still smirking, "Yeah."
"Oh god." You laugh slightly, "How the fuck are you going to get it?"
Sam looks from you to Colby and Colby laughs, "Sam. Hold my ankles."
Sam hands you the camera and walks around to Colby and bends down. Colby gets down on his stomach and grabs the cup.
Sam grips Colby's ankles as he inches himself forward a little bit more. He blows out air, "Catch yins on the flip side."
He leans down, groaning as he stretches to reach the water, "Oh god "
"I promise you're not going anywhere." Sam says, groaning as he holds Colby's ankles down. You can't help but laugh at this situation.
It's just so.. them.
Colby's saying something but you can't really understand him because he's laughing.
"You good?" Sam asks and Colby answers, "Yeah I'm just gonna go forward a little bit." He inches forward some more, stretching down more.
As they're getting the water, you feel an uneasy feeling, but you just brush it off.
"You got it?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, I got it." Colby answers.
In a strained voice, Sam says, "He got the well water."
Colby comes back up, setting the cup of water on the ground with a groan. You put the camera on Colby and he sighs, pointing to his shirt, "XPLR merch, down below."
You hand the camera back to Sam and step to the side. Sam looks at you, "You good." You sigh quietly, nodding, "Yeah."
"Shit dude, I ruined everything." Colby says as he brushes himself off. Sam tries not to laugh, "It was well worth it."
Colby looks up, glaring at Sam and Sam laughs, "get it?"
You laugh and walk around to sit down in a chair and you watch as Colby moves to sit next to you, Sam next to Colby.
Sam leans forward, setting the camera down on the other side of the table to get you all in frame.
"This looks oddly familiar." Colby says and Sam nods, "literally learned the Estes method in this house, two and half years ago."
You watch as Colby puts on his blindfold and you hand him the headphones.
Sam looks at Colby, "Let's try and figure out who's trying to fuck with us."
"Weird full circle moment." Colby says as he brings the headphones to his ears, but stops, resting his hands back on the table, "Yeah, so as a recap real quick.. Dave.."
Your stomach drops when you hear his name now.
".. is the soldier.." Colby continues but Sam butts in, "Who's been following us for like four days."
Colby continues, "For four days, but we initially talked to him with the Estes method out in the back yard, and then he follows us to the woods by the campsite.."
You look around, squinting your eyes behind Sam. You stare for a few seconds before looking away.
"Hopfully Abigail is still here and guides us in the right direction. Please, Abigail." Sam looks up at the ceiling and you turn your head slightly, smiling as you feel the same loving brush on your shoulder, "she's here."
Sam looks at you and Colby turns his head towards you, "How do you know?"
"She touched my shoulder." You swallow, "She did it before."
"And you know it's her?" Sam asks and you nod, "Oh yeah."
"Hmm. Alright. That makes me feel a little bit better." Sam laughs slightly, "Alright. You ready?"
"Let's do it." Colby says and as soon as he puts on the headphones, "Reason."
"Yeah we're trying to figure out the reason why you like us so much." Sam starts, "Why you want us out into the woods."
"Works."
Sam reaches over between you and Colby, whispering as he moves the cup of water towards Colby more, "We also have the well water."
"What do you want with us?" Sam asks and Colby answers right away, "Sex."
You raise a brow, "Huh?"
Sam blinks, smirking slightly, "Alright, are you just fucking with us? Are you the trickster spirit?"
"Me."
"Can you give us a name?" Sam asks and Colby is silent. Sam looks up, "Okay. Are you a solider?"
It's silent again and you lean forward, "Sam." He looks up at you, "What's up?"
"When I came down here last night, I asked if it was the trickster spirit. And whoever, whatever it was kept telling me the woods." You say and he tilts his head, "Huh, that would make sense. Wait, is that why you got dizzy in the woods?"
You shrug, "I don't know. It could be. I was thinking about that, though." You nod, "I just thought I'd tell you now so you know who didn't get mad again."
He nods, "Yeah, I get it."
"Run."
"What do you want us to run from?" Sam asks, "unless it's Abigail?" Sam looks over at you, "like warning us?"
You shrug, "That, I don't know."
"Is it something dangerous?" Sam asks and there's no answer for a little bit.
"Injury."
You and Sam both look up at the ceiling confused.
"Science."
"Oh my god." Sam whispers and you look at him, "what the fuck was that?"
Sam looks from Colby to you, "everything's moving." He goes to say something else but Colby cuts him off, "Us."
Your eyes stay on Colby and you get a sick feeling in your stomach.
"Fall."
"Do you want to hurt us?" Sam asks and you lean in, "Sam, I feel sick." He looks at you, "Are you okay? Do you need to step out or something?"
"I'm not going alone. I'll be fine." You take a deep breath, "I'm good."
"Friendly."
"Okay. So you're friendly. Is this Abigail? Are you trying to lead us somewhere else, make sure y/n is okay?" Sam looks at you and Colby answers, "Stone."
"There's a lot of stones around here." Sam says and his tone makes you want to laugh, he sounded so done.
"Oh, Sam. Another thing. When I got that vision of the soldier looking in the window, there were footsteps before and then I asked if it was watching you and Colby.." you start and Sam nods, "Yeah?"
"That's when that weird hold on me went away and I booked it back upstairs because footsteps were coming towards me but I couldn't see anything."
"Stab."
Sam keeps his stare on you, "it said knife in the graveyard." You nod and Colby speaks up, "He had to go."
"Are you a murderer?" Sam asks and there's no answer from Colby for a little while.
"James."
Sam's eyes go wide and he jumps back, "James!" He covers his mouth with his hands. You cover your mouth, eyes wide, "No fucking way!"
"That's the soldier from the secret grave." Sam looks to you and over to Colby before looking back at the table, "James. Is this you that we're talking with?"
Instantly, Colby answers, "yes."
Sam's mouth drops open, "Fuck yeah." He rests his hands against his chin, "Okay. Thank you. Who is this man from the woods?"
You start to feel dizzy again. You lay your head in your hand as Sam continues to ask questions.
"Here."
"James thinks the man from the woods is here." Sam says and you lift your head.
"He's pointing fingers."
"What does he want with us?" Sam asks and it's a few minutes before Colby answers, "Rule."
"He wants to control this.. area? Is the man from the woods actually powerful, or is he just tricking us?" Sam pauses, "James can you answer? Are you just fucking with us?"
You shake your head as you look away from Colby to Sam, "I feel.. like there's something here, like.. around us." You motion, "Like a constant presence that's moving around."
"Yes."
Sam stares at you, "He's not actually gonna hurt us, right? Nothing can happen?"
You wipe your hands on your thighs, "This is fucking scary." You take a slow, deep breath and exhale quietly.
"Future."
A minute or two of silence goes by, "Use."
"What, are you gonna use us?" Sam asks confused and Colby answers, "Help."
You and Sam both look at Colby, staring at him.
"James, do you need help?" Sam looks away and back to Colby, "How can we help you?"
You both stare at Colby, waiting for a response but nothing.
"Tell us how we can help, actually this time." Sam looks around and you feel like hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
"There's definitely something here, Sam." You whisper so quiet you weren't sure if Sam actually heard you. He looks over at you, nodding and his voice is just as quiet as you, "Yeah."
"Water."
"Is that how you get your power?" Sam motions to the cup, "We got a little of the well water right here." He looks at you and his eyes move up to above your head, like he's following something that's moving away from you.
"You."
"Are.. are both James and the man from the woods still here?" Sam asks and there isn't a response from Colby for a few minutes.
"Yes."
Your mouth, along with Sam's, drop open, "Oh shit."
"Dave."
You and Sam look at Colby, asking in unison, "Dave?"
Sam looks at you, "are there three people now?" Sam asks, "James. Dave. The man from the woods?"
"Fool."
"Fool." Sam repeats slowly.
"I'm back."
"I'm back.. as if he's been talking with us." Sam looks up at you and back down to the table, "Man from the woods, have you been with us this entire time?"
Sam pauses, waiting for a response but nothing happens for a few minutes, "You."
"Yeah, have you been with me and Colby?" He looks up at you, "or have you been with y/n?" You tilt your head down, shaking your head as you blink slowly.
"Woods.. Us.."
"Us and the woods? We were all in the woods." Sam says and there's a knock, causing you to jump slightly, "Fucking hell."
"In."
"We were all in the woods." Sam repeats, "Man from the woods, what is your name?" Colby instantly answers, "Yeah."
"I don't-." Sam rests his hand on his chin, totally consumed and Colby speaks, "Me."
"Yeah yo-"
Colby cuts Sam off, "I am."
"Are you-" Sam stops talking, looking at you confused, "Have you been-"
"Hello?"
You and Sam look at Colby and Sam stares at him as he speaks, "Hello.. have you been with us the whole time, It-" Sam is completely baffled by what you're getting back from Colby.
"Are you Dave?" Sam asks, keeping his stare on Colby.
You're so scared that you know you're going to jump when either Colby or Sam breaks the silence. You were so on edge right now, you didn't want to sit through another Estes method.
But you are.
"No." Colby moves his head slightly, "It's meee."
Sam looks away, letting his hands fall in front of him, "What the fuck?" He looks at you and you lay your hand on your mouth, shrugging as you shake your head.
"No, then it's me?" Sam whispers and Colby butts in, "Moon."
"Dave. Are you a soldier? Answer me. Who are you Dave?" Sam asks and another few minutes of silence go by, "Don't."
"You've been following us for four or five days." Sam leans forward, resting on his elbows.
"Again."
"Why don't you want to tell us who you are?" Sam asks, set on finding out who this spirit is.
"Sam." You lift your finger, pointing to the green camera light that's getting brighter by the second.
He shakes his head, letting out a sigh and Colby speaks up, "Yours.. friend."
"You want to be our friend?" Sam asks and Colby instantly answers, "Happy."
"Okay.. you like when we come talk to you Dave?" Sam asks and there's more silence before Colby answers, "Lake.. turn around."
You and Sam both instantly look behind you, a weird feeling in your stomach building up. You look forward at Sam and sigh, "This is intense."
He nods, "Are you.." he looks to his other side, "Are you right behind us?" Sam stays looking behind him as Colby answers, "Unlock."
"Unlock? Thats what it said about the door. Is the person down here right, the person that locked the door on us two years ago?"
"What?."
"Do you remember us? Cause we were here two ye-"
Colby cuts Sam off, "Yes."
"So were you the person th-"
"Yeah!"
Sam covers half of his face, "Fuck.. Dude.." He turns to Colby, fighting back the urge to tap Colby. He lays his hands on the table and before he says anything else, Colby speaks, "Here.. This.."
"Are you calling-"
Colby cuts Sam off, "Friend."
"His friend, was the one who locked us in the basement two years ago." Sam looks at you and taps the table with his fingers, "Is this friend of ours, this happy friend, the same person as the man from the woods? Are you the one calling us to the woods?"
"Yeah." Colby answers and you get a chill down your spine. That feeling like you're about to puke returns.
"Fuck." Sam leans forward.
"Smile."
Sam reaches out, grabbing Colby's shoulder speaking quickly, "Dude. Dude dude dude."
You lay your hand on Colby's opposite shoulder, "Colby."
Colby takes off the head phones and pulls the blindfold down. His hand lays over his eyes as Sam grabs the camera, "I actually think this thing that's been following us the entire time, Dave.."
Colby keeps his hand over his eyes, "Mhm."
Your fingers rub gently over his jacket as Sam continues to speak, "Is.. the man from the woods. I don't think Dave is a soldier."
"Wait, why do you say that?" Colby asks, blocking the light with his hand.
You keep your stare on Colby, making sure he's good as Sam keeps talking.
You feel that guilt feeling all over again. You don't want to feel it, not only does it make you feel upset, but you didn't want the spirits feeding off the negative emotion.
"But Dave was the soldier, because when we talked to him with the Estes method, like he was the one that came from underground." Colby says and Sam nods, continuing to talk.
Colby leans back and you drop your hand, leaning back as he speaks, "Wait. So you're saying he's been the one that's been stalking us since day one?"
You look from Colby to Sam, sitting there listening to them talk back and forth about what happened while Colby was doing the method.
You feel goosebumps form on your skin and you shiver.
"Let's check if he locked the door one more time." Sam says and you all get up, walking over to the steps.
Colby reaches back, grabbing onto your hand to pull you in front of him so you're not last on the stairs.
You look up at him and he just stares down at you, fighting back a smile because he still wants to seem mad.
You smirk slightly and walk ahead of him.
"The doors wide open? That's also bizzare, too. I thought we closed it." Sam says, turning around to look at Colby.
"When we went up and got.. the water cup? We might have-" Colby's cut off by Sam, "Oh, okay."
"You know what I just realized, too?" Colby asks as you walk out into the room, "when we first came to the basement, yesterday." He closes the door, but then opens it back up, "We did a ritual where we were saying soldier, soldier, soldier. What if that was just instantly telling, like the trickster as well, that we were trusting the soldiers too much?"
Colby closes the door, "Like duh, he's gonna act like a soldier to get on our good side."
Sam switches the green light back to the regular, white light, "Wait, the first day we did an investigation right here with Amanda. We opened the basement door and something came up and hit the REM pod."
"So you could have just let out, Dave, the trickster spirit from the basement and then ever since then he's been following us."
A knock causes you to jump and Colby wraps his arm around you, "What was that?"
"What was that?" Sam asks turning the camera, "It was like a knock on the front door."
Colby walks over, checking it out and you watch, making sure you don't see anything in the windows.
After a few minutes, Colby walks back, "Okay. Are we ready to go back down?"
Sam nods and you stand there, hesitating on how you want to answer, "Um.. I don't.. know."
"Do you feel comfortable going back down?" Sam asks and you sigh, "I mean.. yeah.. I just.." you shake your head, "Yeah. Let's just do it."
"Y/n. If you don't-"
You cut Sam off, "I'm good."
They don't argue anymore and walk over to the door. Colby first, then you, then Sam.
You make your way back down, sitting down at the same like you were before going up stairs. Sam ties the blindfold on and Colby looks at him, "Ready?"
Sam nods, "Yeah."
Colby switches on the static sound, "See how loud that is guys?" He looks into the camera and Sam puts on the headphones, immediately saying something, "Two."
"Two." Colby thinks, "there's still two of you here? I believe we were just talking to-"
Sam interrupts Colby as he continues to speak, "Young."
"Out."
"Hi."
You get instant chills and Colby looks at you, "Every single time I talk it's just talking over me." Colby looks up, making his voice louder, "Dave. Are you with me?"
A few minutes goes by, and Sam breaking the silence causes you to jump, "Here."
"Why do you want us to go to the woods so bad?"
You close your eyes, trying to keep that sick feeling at bay as Colby keeps trying to get answers.
"Evil girl." Instantly after, "Abigail."
You open your eyes, looking at Colby and you repeat her name at the same time.
"He would.. the trickster, or Dave, would think that Abigail is evil-"
"Dead."
"Dave I need you to be clear with me, why do you want us to go to the woods?"
Sam doesn't say thing for a few minutes, but within those few minute, you reach out, laying your hand on Colby's arm and his hand goes to lay on yours, "What's up?"
"I don't feel like it's just us again." You shake your head, "Someone else is here. Something else, or whatever. We're not alone."
"Down."
"Person."
Colby looks from you to Sam, and back to you.
"Blame."
"So if there's other people down there as well, is that what you're saying? Other spirits that you know?" Colby asks and Sam responds, "Seven."
Colby's mouth drops and he leans back, "we've been getting seven all the time.."
"Line em' up."
"Are these seven spirits dangerous?" Colby asks and you jump as something brushes against your leg. You refuse to look, mainly because you're scared.
"Who are these seven spirits in the woods with you? Are they other earth bound spirits, possibly?" Colby asks and you sit there in silence, awaiting a possible answer from Sam.
"With you."
You look at Colby, "Is that why I don't feel like it's just us?"
"If there's seven spirits with us now.. I mean.."
"Basement."
Your eyes go wide, "seven spirits here. In the basement."
"Do you have a plan to do something to us is we go to the woods?"
Sam answers Colby immediately, "Spooked."
You nod, your voice quiet, "Yeah, we're for sure spooked."
"Why didn't you scare us when we were there earlier tonight?" Colby asks and you look between him and Sam, wishing you weren't scared enough to leave the basement alone.
"Was that you making noises in the woods? Were you trying to scare us?"
Sam doesn't answer, he just sits there.
"Find out."
You feel like your skin is crawling with the cryptic responses. You were so on edge right now, you wanted to leave and never come back.
Colby looks at you, "That's the same thing is said yesterday.. come find out."
You place your elbows on the table, holding your head between your hands.
"Are you okay?" Colby whispers and you nod slightly, "I'm starting to get a headache."
"I promise."
"What's gonna happen?" Colby asks and there's another long pause, the pain in your head growing worse by the second.
"Trauma."
You look up at Sam and you close your eyes.
"Stone."
"Stone?" Colby questions and you lean back slowly, taking a deep breath as you rest your hands on the table.
The pain in your head is slowly dying down.
Colby continues asking questions and you feel that feeling of not being alone creep in again, this time it's more of a heavier feeling.
You can feel it, weighing down on you like something is pressing on your shoulders and you're resisting.
"It's time."
"I can sense."
The feeling disappears and you slam your hand on Colby's arm, "I just felt like something was weighting down my shoulders and when Sam said it's time, it went away."
"Is that plan happening now? When is it going to happen? Were you just touching y/n?" Colby asks, glancing from Sam to you, "Why would we come back there if you're saying you're going to attack us?"
"Pause."
"Dude." Colby rubs his eyes and you sigh, "i have a question, were you the one we were talking to two years ago?"
"You're scared."
Colby laughs slightly, "we were terrified."
"Don't record."
You glance to the camera and back to Colby.
"Dave.. do you call yourself Beelzebub?"
"I dare you."
You all sit there in silence, you mainly thinking about everything.
"I like you."
"At this point, we just know you're trying to get on our good side. So, it's not gonna work."
"Family."
"Do you do this for a specific reason?"
You lay your hands on your head, resting your elbows on the table.
Your headache returns.
"Heaven."
"Do you get power from scaring people?" Colby asks and you swear you hear a knock, but before you can say anything, Sam cuts you off, "Come in."
"It's the same thing. He's not answering any questions. It's the same things.. just come to the woods."
"My head hurts again." You look at Colby and he leans in, "Do you need to leave?"
"I'm not going by myself. I'll be fine." You take a deep breath, "it was hurting just a few minutes ago.. stopped, and now it hurts again."
"Did it do this when you were down here-"
Sam cuts Colby off, "Alone."
"No." You answer quickly, "It didn't."
"You know, that makes sense though, the owner did say the best way to get evidence is to be alone." Colby looks at you, snapping his head to Sam.
"He's ready."
You point to Sam, "Colby. Look at him."
Colby watches Sam and tilts his head, "He's like.. shaking.." He looks at you, "I'll pull him out of this in a second.."
You nod, sitting up and watching Sam intently. He shakes his head back and forth, just acting weird.
"Colby, I don't .. I don't like this." You look at Colby and he shakes his head, "Yeah neither do I."
"Thank you." Sam says, sounding normal.
Colby just stares at him as he places a hand on his shoulder. Sam reaches up, brushing his other shoulder before moving to take off the headphones.
Colby moves his hand and Sam brushes his shoulder again, almost in a panic to take off the blindfold.
"Why you acting like that?" Colby asks, kind of worried.
"Dude." Sam shakes his head, hand still on his shoulder, "I-" he stumbles over his words before he stands up, moving behind Colby, "It felt like someone was leaning in like this."
He demonstrates and Colby looks at you, eyes wide, "Isn't that-"
"Uh huh." You nod, "I felt that same thing."
"It felt like it was pushing me down." Sam moves to sit down and Colby nods, "Yeah your legs were shaking. I stopped it mostly because y/n kept getting headaches and I wanted to see, like what you were doing."
"I don't think I've ever felt an Estes method like that.. I don't.." he looks between you and Colby, ".. Was I like.. it literally felt like-"
"Just pressure on your neck and shoulders?" You ask and Sam nods, "Yeah, the pressure."
"It was your legs that were freaking me out because you were just like starting to twitch and like-"
Sam cuts Colby off, "that's what I'm saying like, the Zack Bagans thing.. my legs were tensing up as if I needed to like, move or I'd get up.. it was just fucking weird."
"Okay let's just.. get out of here. We can talk about it all upstairs." Colby stands up, "How's your head?" He looks at you and you nod, "It's fine again."
"The camera turned off." Sam says and Colby goes to grab it. He turns it back on and it shuts off again, "it just turned off twice, in a row, right when I grabbed it.."
"Alright let's just get upstairs." Sam says and you all start to gather the things from the table. Colby yelling causes you to jump, "Three times!?"
"Let's just go. Let's go." Sam says and it turns off again, "What's fucking happening? I'm holding it with my left hand because I'm holding this." Colby shows his hand and you turn your head, almost like a scuffling abound capturing your attention.
"Guys." You hold your arm out towards them but the camera shutting off has their attention.
You look back at them, then back into the darkness and the same footsteps that came after you while you were down here alone, come after you again.
You let out a yell, moving to stand between Sam and Colby.
"What!? What what?!" Colby asks wrapping his arm around you.
"Footsteps. Like footsteps running towards me just happened and that same thing happened last night when I was coming back up the steps." You lean into Colby and he sighs, "We need to be recording."
"Here. I'll just.." Sam starts recording on his phone. He explains what you heard and Colby holds the camera out, "Guys. Look look."
"It's just turning off." Sam says and Colby holds it back up, "Look watch. Are you gonna do it again? Turn off the camera."
Sam shakes his head, "Dude, I just don't think we should fuck with it like that."
"No that was five times in a row, Sam." Colby argues, "You got that right?"
"Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I got it." Sam says. You sigh, "I think we just need to get out of here."
You all go up the steps, stepping out the door way and you take a deep breath, "Oh my god."
"It's still turning off." Colby says, and suddenly the light goes off, causing you all to yell.
"This is a brand new light." Sam says, "let's just go outside."
As you go outside, Sam pulls the door shut, "What the fuck is happening." Colby shrugs, "I don't know dude. Something is trying to delete the footage."
They go back and forth about it for a second and then Colby looks at you, "Are you okay?"
You nod, "No, yeah. I'm good. I feel better now that we're out here." You walk over to him, "Are you still mad at me?"
He pulls you into a hug, "Were definitely going to talk about everything in detail when we get a second, but as of right now I'm just glad that nothing serious happened to you."
"So you still love me?" You look up at him and he looks down at you, "Yes. Of course I love you. I love you, even when I'm mad at you."
He smiles and leans down to peck your lips, "so are you sleeping with me tonight or are you-"
You cut him off, "Going to a hotel? Yes. I'll see you in the morning."

MIKO
As a young kitsune, Miko was unable to transform into her human form due to a lack of strength and natural willpower. So, it was common for the yokai to be seen wandering around the shrine as a small fox, eating little snacks given to her by the shrine maidens, and terrorizing tiny children like the menace she was.
You’ve heard stories of a pink fox roaming the Narukami Shrine, but you didn’t think much of it when you sat down at a nearby bench to enjoy your lunch. Pulling out a small packet of your favorite chips, you tore it open before hearing a slight, rustling sound coming from within the bushes.
Rustle rustle rustle.
You looked up to see one of the bushes in front of you moving, the branches shaking wildly before something pink and fluffy tumbled out from below.
A pink, fluffy, fox.
Miko had stumbled out of the plant with her fur all messy and tousled with leaves. A small yip leaving her mouth, as she shook like a wet dog and growled. Oh no, you’ve heard of this fox before. This was the terror of the Narukami Shrine, the infamous child attacker of Inazuma, the one, the only:
Yae Miko.
She sneezed as leaves blew out of her fur, before twitching her nose at the smell of your food. Once she caught a whiff of what you had in your lap, her eyes narrowed and she started glaring at you. Damn, even as a child, Miko still had that intimidating glare that could put an archon in their place, intimidating you with just a scowl before strutting up to you with confidence.
“…Hello?” You timidly say, looking down at the fox with worry. “You’re…you’re the fox that attacks kids, right? Please don’t hurt me, I’m just trying to eat my lunch.”
She narrowed her eyes at you. Even though she couldn’t speak, it felt like she was degrading you.
“…Uhm. Do you want some? I can give you some if you like.”
Her tummy grumbled at an embarrassing time, causing her to only flatten her ears.
“…Okay.” You timidly reached into your bag and pulled out a small chip. Hesitantly, you held it out to her and waited for her to crawl up to you. “I hope it’s not that salty. I know kitsune taste buds can be pretty sensitive, so it’s okay if you don’t like it—”
She lunged forward to sniff the chip before biting onto it and gnawing like a dog. Cronch cronch cronch. She had crumbs spill all over the floor, but she seemed pretty satisfied overall, looking up at you for more. “Oh! Do you want some more?” She nodded, her tail starting to wag. “I can give you more, then!”
You ended up sharing half your lunch with the kitsune. Throwing her whatever you found in your lunchbox, and watching her devour it on the floor of the shrine. After a while, she seemed to have taken a liking to you and jumped on the bench beside you to lie down, letting out a content, purring noise. After that little interaction, you started coming to the shrine more often to feed and hang out with the little fox. Weeks passing by of this little friendship, you didn’t think your routine would change until one, fateful, day.
As you climbed up the steps leading to your favorite spot, you saw not the fox you’ve grown so accustomed to, but a small, pink haired girl around your age. She was waiting patiently on the bench you always sat at, before her ear twitched, indicating that she noticed you.
Turning around, she had those same lilac eyes as your little foxy friend, as they glimmered in a way that felt so familiar to you the more you stared.
“Finally, you came!” The girl said exasperatedly, folding her arms and pouting at you. “I was waiting all day! You keep a girl hungry, you know.”
“I— sorry?” You looked so confused when she ran up to you and grabbed your lunch. “Hey—!”
“So, what did you bring this time? Fried tofu for Friday? I hope so…”
“Hey! Those are for my fox friend!” You exclaimed, snatching your lunchbox back. “I don’t even know you!”
“Are you dumb? I am your fox friend!” The girl yelled back, tugging the lunchbox back. “It’s me, Yae Miko!”
“Miko?!” Your eyes widened and you took a step back. No way, how could this bratty and sassy child be Yae Miko? “No way…”
“Yes way! I was able to transform into my human form the other night. I’m strong enough now!” She grinned proudly and showed off her canine teeth. Although a bit bratty and too overconfident, you could tell it was actually her due to her unique markings and fluffy, pink, ears. “Now, hand over the tofu! I’ve been waiting all week for this!”
You pouted and handed her the takeout box with tofu inside. “…Fine.”
She grinned and looked at you smugly before taking the carton out of your hands. “Thank you…!” She began eating with the elegance of a toddler before pausing her chewing mid way. “By the way, since I can talk now, I’ve been wanting to ask you something.”
“Huh?” You gasped when she suddenly jumped on top of you and looked at you with those curious eyes.
“I’ve decided I want to marry you when we get older.”
“What?!”
She smiled at you before hugging you close. Wanting to feel you in a way that had your little heart beating. “You heard me, I want to marry you! That way, you’ll feed me yummy food forever!” She exclaimed, staring at you in a way you couldn’t refuse. “Please?”
“I— o-okay…” your tiny kid's heart didn’t have the guts to refuse, so the moment you said yes, Miko smiled and nuzzled you close. “Hurray! Now you can feed me fried tofu for the rest of our lives!”
If only you knew, she would marry you for reasons other than fried tofu…
HU TAO
Funerals were typically held on rainy days like in the movies, so why was yours held on such a bright and sunny day?
You stared at the coffin in front of you with regret, regret for not being with your grandmother more, as she passed away in her sleep due to old age. The funeral was directed by Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, which meant you had an untimely encounter with the director’s eccentric granddaughter.
She was so…strangely upbeat. Of course, she paid her respects to the dead, mourning in a way to convey her sadness. But she was still quite the spunky one and you couldn’t help but get irritated at how nonchalant she was.
There she was, prancing around the funeral giving jolly orders like it was nothing. You knew it was a part of her job, but did she really have to be so happy about it? You were slightly annoyed and went to sit by the pond to take a breather, pulling at the itchy black clothes your parents made you wear, before feeling the tears well up in your eyes.
“Grandma…” your tiny voice trembled, sniffing and wiping away your tears, trying your best not to cry in front of all your family members.
“Yoo-hoo? Does someone need a tissue?” You heard a voice call, gentle footsteps walking up from behind and dangling a napkin in front of your face. “Better wipe up that runny nose, your face is too cute to be all snotty!”
“Hu Tao…” you frowned, taking her offered napkin and looking away. “Please go away, I’m not in the mood to play right now…”
Her face softened at the sight of you trying to hide your tears. Shamelessly trying to wipe your runny nose while hiding the fact that you were crying. “Okay…I guess I’ll go…”
Before she could leave however, your hand instinctively reached out to grab her sleeve, tugging her back. “No wait, I…” you grimaced and stared down at the floor. “I’m sorry, please stay…” Even though you were still annoyed, you still wanted the comfort of another person. Even if that person was Hu Tao.
“Oh? Ah, okay…” Hu Tao immediately sat down beside you and looked at you with worry. “…Your eyes are really puffy, you know.”
“I know.” You mumble tiredly, wiping your nose with your sleeve and staring at the water. “I haven’t cried like this in a while.”
“Understandable. I mean, your grandma pa—” she stopped herself from saying more before slowly hugging her knees. “Ah…sorry.”
“It’s okay.” You mutter, a deafening silence overcoming you two. “You’re just trying to help.”
Another awkward silence. Usually Hu Tao was more talkative when it came to the two of you, but right now she was quiet as she sat down beside you and picked at the grass. While the adults in the background talked amongst themselves, Hu Tao finally snapped out of it and reached a hand out for you to take.
“…Hug?” She asked softly, opening her arms like a baby bear cub.
“…Hug.” You say quietly, moving over to hug her while trying your best not to sob all over her shoulder. “There there. No need to hold back.” Hu Tao says reassuringly, squeezing you tightly. “You can snot over my shirt if you want. I have others.”
“No, ew.” You chuckle through your sobs. “That’s disgusting.”
“Well, I don’t mind if it makes you feel better…” she murmurs against your ear. “I don’t like seeing you so upset.”
“I don’t normally get so upset, sorry…”
“No, it’s okay. I just want to cheer you up.”
She patted your back comfortingly, before placing her hat on top of your head. “You know, I wish we could hang out more often. You seem like a pretty cool kid.” She smiles brightly at you before pulling away from the hug. “I wanna be with you more! Not just at the funeral parlor.”
“Sniff, really?” You blinked your tears away and looked up at her.
“Really.” She says with a smile, cupping your hands. “…Actually, I have an idea!”
She plucked a dandelion sprout from the ground and got down on one knee, holding out the flower to your face. “Let’s get married when we’re older! That way, I can cheer you up whenever we’re together!”
Your face flushed at the sudden proposal and you immediately panicked. “Ah, wait! Aren’t marriages a serious thing? Don’t you have to be in love for that to happen?”
“Pfft! Who cares? Marriages make people happy, so I wanna make you happy too…”
She slipped the dandelion between your ear and smiled, giving you a smile you would soon see walking down the altar…
DEHYA
You ran down the streets of your hometown, trying to avoid all the bullies chasing your tail and diving down random alleyways to lose them as quickly as possible. Unfortunately for you however, you found yourself at a dead end with nowhere else to go, a bunch of big kids getting ready to make you their next target, as they took the liberty of picking up rocks to throw at you.
“Ah, come on! Can’t you leave me alone just this once?” You looked aggravated and fearful for your life, backing up against the hardened brick wall that led to your demise. “Don’t you get tired of picking on me all the time? Find something else to do!”
Your desperate pleas fell on deaf ears as they got ready to launch their rocks. You sighed and crouched down on the ground, trying to cover your head for the inevitable pain you were going to feel.
“Okay, just please make it quick…”
You squeezed your eyes shut and resisted the urge to cry, bracing yourself for the impact that…strangely never came?
Instead, you heard the loud yells of a rugged and tomboyish girl, the sounds of kids screaming in fear, before footsteps sprinted away from you. The sounds slowly grew quieter and quieter, leaving you to open your eyes and see a pretty, short-haired girl standing in front of you.
“They’re gone now, I chased them away for you.” Was all she said before extending her hand out. “Are you okay? Did they hit you or anything?”
Your cheeks flushed hot at the sight of her trying to help you, as the girl was very pretty and the way she was staring at you with those piercing blue eyes made your heart leap with relief. What was this feeling? Could it be? Did you finally develop one of those things called crushes?
You realized she was still staring at you and shook your head no.
“Ah, no…they didn’t.” You slowly took her hand and stood up. “I’m okay, thanks.”
“You sure? Your knee looks pretty bad.”
You looked down to see what she was pointing at and sure enough, you had somehow scraped your knee during the chase. “Oh, I guess I didn’t notice…” you brushed off some sand that had gotten on it and winced. “Don’t worry, it’s just a scrape. It’ll heal.”
“Not if it gets infected.” She huffs, grabbing your hand with her own. Wow, even for a kid as young as you, she sure was strong. “Come on, I’ll take you back to my tent. My name’s Dehya by the way.”
She tugs you down to follow her to her camp and makes you sit down, grabbing all the medical supplies her arms could carry before setting them down in front of you.
“Uhm, do you know how to use these? Only grownups should use alcohol.” You scrunched up your nose at the sight, causing Dehya to laugh beautifully.
“Pfft, you’re thinking of the wrong kind of alcohol,” she grins, applying some on a piece of gauze. “That’s drinking alcohol, it’s the kind that makes grownups all dizzy and say funny things. This is rubbing alcohol.”
She gently applies the gauze to your scrape and watches you hiss in pain. The moment she sees tears well up in your eyes though, she immediately grabs your hand.
“Ah—! I’m sorry, but this has to be done! My dad told me you have to disinfect wounds so you don’t get germs on it!” She squeezed your hand in comfort, helping you push through the pain before setting the gauze down to begin bandaging you. “I know it hurts, but adults go through scary injuries all the time and have to go through the same thing. You can be brave for me, right?”
She looks up at you with those piercing blue eyes and you couldn’t bring yourself to say no.
“Hah! That’s the spirit!” She smiles and finishes wrapping up your knee. “There, all done! Can you walk?”
You shakily got up on wobbly knees before almost falling backwards, if not for Dehya instinctively catching you. “…Huh. Seems like you need a bit more recovery.”
She helps you sit back down before frowning after a few moments. “Actually, I have to ask, how long have you been bullied by those bigger kids?”
“Ah, for a little while…” you mumble in response, hiding your face in shame. “It’s okay, they’ll get bored of me eventually.”
“Eventually?” Dehya’s face furrowed with anger. “No! I’m not gonna let them keep bullying you! You deserve better!” She huffs and grabs your hand, before dramatically getting down on one knee. “I’m going to protect you till the end of time. My dad said that you should always protect those who can’t protect themselves, so I’m doing that for you!”
“But—”
She looked at you with such fiery determination and you shut up immediately.
“No buts. I’ve decided I’m going to stick with you for as long as I can.” She smiled and held your hands, leaning in close with a grin. “Perhaps we’ll even get married…”
Your eyes widened at the idea. Married to Dehya? I mean, it’s not like you were opposed to it…
“Married? Oh, uh, alright….” Dehya smiled and patted your head.
“Good. I’ll make sure you’re safe as long as you’re with me.”
She bows down to you like a knight would before taking your hand and kissing it.
“That’s what a good wife does after all…”
NINGGUANG
Due to living in poverty, little tiny Ningguang had to make a living by selling seashells on the beach. She didn’t have time to play with the other kids, or go eat lunch with them by the pier, so she ended up not having a lot of friends to talk to, due to her poor upbringing and determination for money.
She would’ve ended up alone if not for you, a humble, yet curious child who took interest in what Ningguang wanted to sell. They were mostly handmade wares and shells she found lying on the beach, so there wasn’t really anything of high value. Despite that however, you were intrigued, and moved a little closer to take a look at what Ningguang had to offer.
She noticed you, standing up abruptly to present whatever she thought would interest you. “You seem rather enveloped by my jewelry,” Ningguang says, lifting up one of the trays of rings. “They’re all handcrafted and personally made by me. The pearls you see are freshly harvested from oysters found by the Liyue docks.”
She looked proud of her little business spiel and gently took your hand into hers. “Would you like to try one? I can help you find your ring size.”
Despite her living in rags and dirt, you couldn’t help but find her beautiful as she looked up at you with gemstone-brimmed eyes. Blinking up at you in a beautiful shade of scarlet, as her warm smile brought you newfound feelings you’ve never felt before. What were those feelings you may ask? Perhaps something akin to fascination, or perhaps…a small crush?
Nevertheless, you knew this girl was beautiful, and wanted to get to know her better. After browsing around her selection of wares for you to purchase from, your eyes landed on a particular set of jewelry. “Are these a set? They both match…” you ask with curiosity, picking up one of the rings.
“Yes, I made those two in mind for a couple who happened to be walking by.” She picks up the second one in the pair and holds it out to you. “They are matching rings and can symbolize anything. Romance, friendship, familial bond…”
She smiles at you and gently slips one of the pairs onto your finger. “Here, it seems to fit onto you perfectly. Do you like it?”
You did. It was absolutely beautiful and you admired the glittering pearl like it was the second prettiest thing you’ve ever seen. (The first one being Ningguang)
“It’s beautiful. But…” your eyes moved down to the matching pair in the set. “I don’t have anyone to match with…”
Ningguang raised a brow at this. Well, you could always buy another ring, so it’s not like this was a big deal.
“Oh? That’s a shame. Then perhaps you could get something else? Or, even just take one of the pairs and leave the other.” She thought quite logically about the situation and didn’t seem bothered by your dilemma. After giving her suggestion, she was a bit confused as to why you looked so upset. “Uh…is something the matter?”
“We can’t just separate the pair!” You exclaim, your childishness shining through. “They’d get lonely knowing the other pair is somewhere else…”
“But they’re just…rings?” Ningguang looked confused as to what you were throwing a fuss about. “Rings don’t have feelings!”
“You don’t know that!” You shout back, holding one of the rings close to your chest. “It needs to know it matches with someone. Then it’ll fulfill its purpose in life…”
Poor Ningguang looked so confused at the whole ordeal before sighing in slight disbelief. Perhaps she was a bit too mature for her age to understand, but it seemed that splitting the rings apart was troubling you to a great degree.
“Alright, I have an idea…” Ningguang murmurs, taking the second half of the pair and slipping it onto her finger. “You can keep that one, and I will keep this one. That way we will match.”
Your eyes lit up at this solution. “So we can be…a bonded pair?” You ask quietly, looking at her with intrigue.
Dammit. Little Ningguang’s face blushed and she couldn’t help but grow flustered. “Yes, we can be a bonded pair…” she grumbles, ignoring the way you were starting to look cute.
“Hurray!” You smile gleefully, slipping the ring on and handing you some mora. “Now we can pretend to be married! Like real couples!”
She felt the blood rush to her face as she looked down at the matching ring in her hand, a spur of newfound feelings bubbling in her chest, as Ningguang had never felt this way before.
From that day forward, Ningguang vowed to become the richest woman in Liyue. All for the sole purpose of potentially buying you a real ring to marry…

Hiii Lili <3 could I request one piece character (idk for who you write, so u can choose!) reaction to a reader who is very normal looking girl (doesn't stand out from the crowd to say soo) but in battle/confrontational situation becomes a complete, very violent and dangerous, destruction machine?
The circumstances or if she is friend or foe, you can choose, whatever let's you more inspired. ✨ If you don't like or feel very inspired by the prompt it's okay, I just really liked your writing style ♥️
There is More Than What Meets the Eye (Monster Trio x Fem!Reader)
ー hello!! thanks for the ask. this is actually such a fun idea. i went a little overboard with this one lololololol. and i decided to go with the monster trio ♡ hope u like it :3 if you/anyone wants to read sth about other characters, pls lmk! i currently write for jjk, genshin and of course, one piece ★
ー as always, requests and commissions are open! ♡ (im bored pls give me something to do :'3)
cw: mentions of weapons, violence, and battles
Luffy
he's not someone who likes to expect things from anything, let alone anyone.
but he gets really amused easily.
(luffy is a big yolo person, and it shows)
he is naturally protective of his crew though, and that includes you.
but at the same time, he trusts that everyone is capable of fighting and surviving on their own, so he doesn't think much of your capabilities. he just knows that you're strong.
you had just recently joined the crew and you're figuring out how you can help.
you help with franky and usopp with the ship's repairs.
then you tend to the plants with robin.
then you help sanji cook lots of meals (because luffy eats like a monster)
and then you asked nami if you can clean the study room for her so she can make maps comfortably.
and after all that, you joined zoro to workout with him.
for a normal person, doing all these things would exhaust one at the end of the day, but in your case, you seem to never run out of energy.
the crew is thankful for your help, but what they didn't realize is that you never run out of stamina to just do things.
until luffy points out how restless you are.
"hey, don't you ever get tired?"
you were about to answer him when you noticed the presence of a few marine ships at your tail.
the crew panicked and prepared to change course.
when they fired cannonballs, you immediately caught each and every one of them and threw them back at the ships, causing a simultaneous explosion.
there was one cannonball that you almost missed, so you were quick to grab it.
imagine luffy's surprise when you crushed it with your bare hand before it exploded.
everyone pretty much had their jaws on the floor.
luffy practically had sparkling eyes asking you how you did it.
"wow, i never knew you could do that!"
"what other things can you break with one hand?"
"here, can you break this huge weight?"
you were confused, but you obliged, breaking the weight in half.
"so cool!!"
since then he would start attacking you out of nowhere, trying to catch you off guard.
well that never happened, so one day he'll mope about it.
"hey, seriously, what's your secret?" he asks, poking your cheek.
"there is no secret." you laugh. "i just like to train my body."
"well, that's boring." he complains.
after a while though, he smiles at you.
"i honestly thought you look weak. but you're strong, so keep it up!" he said, pointing his thumbs up.
you didn't know whether to laugh or feel offended, but you took it as a compliment.
it feels good to feel needed by your friends.
Sanji
sanji thinks you're the most vulnerable person in the crew.
he doesn't mean to be condescending or anything.
but you just seem so… bland.
and it's not that he thinks you're so weak to the point that you can't defend yourself. part of him just assumes that you're average when it comes to strength and the other wants to protect you because you're a girl and you're pretty.
one day though, you're docked at an island to stock up on supplies and you forgot to tell the crew that you're going shopping by yourself.
sanji panics. what if something bad will happen to you?
something did happen to you.
you almost got robbed.
and sanji saw you manhandle the robber in a flash, and the next thing he knew, you were pointing a dagger to the robber's eyes.
it was so close and he can feel you wanting to gouge them out.
sanji hid himself for a moment, observing how you fight against the enemies.
you were practically raging, beating them up even if though they're already helpless.
one would try to beg for your mercy but you're pissed off. so you punched them hard in the face, knocking them unconscious.
sanji quietly had a nosebleed.
you were just so?? hot??
i mean you already are beautiful in his eyes but something about you being this strong turns him on surprised the shit out of him.
after you're done, you turned towards sanji, going back to your normal self.
"sanji! i didn't notice you were there."
"oh, i love it when you're violent and sadistic y/n-swann!"
he'll practically throw himself at you, showering you with compliments and following you around like a dog.
"forgive me for saying this, but i didn't realize you were that strong." he'll say.
"well, now you know!" you smiled at him.
instantly had heart eyes
"you are my beloved strong woman! woof!"
ever since then, he'll be even more batshit crazy about you.
every time you display your strength in front of him and the crew, it will take every bit of his will power not to pass out.
Zoro
this man…
he doesn't look like it, but he's very good at reading people
he got it after years of travelling on his own as a pirate bounty hunter
he may not have a good sense of direction, but what he's good at is sensing the strength of his opponents.
given that he's in a fight with one.
it's something he honed over time, so that he can create his own strategies when in battle.
like luffy, he knows that you're strong, and you work well in a team or on your own.
what he doesn't know (or at least he isn't aware of) is the lengths your strength can reach.
he has a gut feeling that you never went all out in your time as a member of the strawhat crew. (he's right)
so his competitive ass decides to test you through a spar.
you get fired up by the idea, since you've been wanting to train with zoro for a while now.
"ready? i won't go easy."
what a cocky bastard tbh.
you're very focused on him.
you're literally the definition of "lock on" every time you fight.
after you took weapon of your choice, you began to spar.
since you're on the deck of the sunny, you were both careful not to use complicated techniques to avoid destroying the ship. but you both still gave your all, unwilling to show any blind spots to one another.
chopper admired both of you on the sidelines, and the clashing of your weapons were heard by everyone on the ship.
"hey, moss head! what do you think you're doing-" sanji tries to interrupt.
then you landed a blow to make zoro lose his grip on his swords.
you ended up on top of him, and you pointed the back of your weapon on his chest.
he expected this so he wasn't surprised.
he found it amusing even.
"knew you were hiding something." he chuckled, uncharacteristically admitting defeat.
"but i'm not! i guess i got a little ahead of myself. sorry." you say, looking away from him, a little flustered.
"what are you sorry for? your strength? you know that's a pretty useless thing to apologize for." he replied.
since that day, he respected you more, and you would train together.
heck, when you're on an island, you'll find spacious and uninhabited places where you can spar with him to go all out.
it almost always ends in a draw.
zoro would go easy on you on the ship because you both know that it's not ideal to fully use your powers.
so the times where you can both give your all, you both make the most of it.
he teaches you how to use swords, and if you already know how, he'll teach you some of his techniques.
much to your happiness.
"you're pretty good, honestly. you can easily catch your enemies off guard with how you look." he admits to you one time.
"that's kind of offensive. but i'll take it!" you laugh.

what’s wrong?- matt sturniolo x fem!reader
a/n- not a song title but i hope you like. it’s definitely different than what i write.
summary: after a long week of being tired, overwhelmed, and sexually frustrated you can’t take it anymore, and you end up taking it out on your best friends.
warnings - slight argument, language, smut 🤺
-
fuck. i sigh getting close to the high i’ve been chasing all week. my chest heaves and i throw my head back being overcome with pleasure. “fuck fuck fuckkk” i whine when i can feel my stomach get tight. a bead of sweat drips down my forehead.
just as i get close my phone buzzes beside me. “fuck!” i yell. this was the closest i had been all week and it was ruined. i don’t know what was wrong with me, but i just couldn’t cum for some reason. i had tried everything i liked and it was really fucking with my mood.
i sigh as i answer the phone and head to the bathroom to wash my hands after what seems like the 1000th unsuccessful orgasm this week. “hello?” i say, putting it on speaker and setting it down next to me. “hey” nick spoke “me matt and chris are going to get food then go shopping and we were wondering if you wanted to come with.” “yeah i guess” i reply. “ok be there in 30. love you byeee” he hung up
the triplets arrived in 30 minutes just like nick said. i walked out to the van and went to the back seat as normal. i opened the door and my face was met with chris. “i saved you a spot in the front today” he smiled at me. i shut the door and walked to the front rolling my eyes. i don’t know what was wrong with me i was just really upset. well actually, i know exactly was wrong
“hey girllll” matt spoke as i got in the passenger. “matt” i deadpanned looking at him. “sorry” he said and backed out the driveway. i was silent for a while, ignoring the conversation the three were having.
“you okay?” matt asked squeezing my thigh, his cold rings causing me to shiver. “i’m fine” i said not looking at him. matt was without a doubt my best friend, but there were things he didn’t need to know, me not being able to orgasm being one of them. “you sure?” he looked at me “yes matt i’m fine!” i snapped “sorry” is all he said. the car went completely silent and it was like that the rest of the drive.
“i’m not really hungry” is all i said when we got to the restaurant. “y/n you have to eat something” nick said “oh my god i’m not starving myself i’m just not hungry right now!” i snapped at him as well. i sighed as i sat back in my seat knowing i fucked up.
i was an anxious mess for the rest of the day. i didn’t talk at all and i couldn’t stop shaking. “hey it’s okay” matt reassured me on the way home. i half smiled at him. he handed me is hand and i fidgeted with his rings. it was stupid, but it always helped when i was anxious.
i bit my lip trying not to cry for the rest of the car ride. when we pulled into my driveway, my first thought was to get out of the car and run inside, but i wouldn’t forgive myself if i did. “look guys i don’t know what’s wrong with me i’m really sorry.” my lip quivered and tears brimmed my eyes “thanks for inviting me” i closed the door and hurried inside.
-
matt’s pov
after i got home, i couldn’t stop thinking about y/n. she told me everything and she was never upset like this. i honestly felt bad about leaving her alone. i called her phone twice, but i didn’t get an answer. she lives alone and has no one to talk to. if i let her be alone, i wouldn’t forgive myself.
i told nick and chris where i was going then i left. i got in the van and hurried to her house. i knocked on the door a couple times but she didn’t answer. i knew i was being invasive, but i took the key from under the plant where she always kept it, and i opened the door, locking it back after i got in.
“y/n?” i called out for her. no reply. i walked up to her room. as i lifted up my hand to knock, i heard her sobs on the other end of the door. i opened the door with caution. “y/n?” i looked down to see her on her bed, in only her underwear and a tank top. her head was buried into the pillow, and she sobbed. “oh my god y/n are you okay?”
i sat down on the edge of the bed. “hey y/n talk to me please” she sat up and buried her face into my chest. she engulfed me in a hug and kept crying. i ran my hand through her hair, and my other one rubbed circles on her back. “it’s okay” i reassured her
-
y/n’s pov
i felt so weak crying for such a stupid reason, but i just couldn’t help it. “are you gonna tell me what’s wrong?” matt asked. “i can’t matt i just can’t” i cried. “cmon y/n you can tell me anything” i just cried even more. i’ve never felt so pathetic.
“i-it’s so stupid i can’t” i said between sobs. “y/n i swear i would never judge you.” he patted my back softly. i took a breath and sat up to look at him. “it’s so stupid you have to promise not to laugh” i looked at him. “i swear i won’t.” he put his hands up in surrender. “pinky promise?” i held out my pinky. “y/n is this 3rd grade” he laughed locking pinkies with mine. “ok that was so corny” i laughed
“ok let’s get serious” he said. i let out a long breath “i c-can’t umm” i sighed “i can’t cum.” his eyebrows furrowed. “i know that’s tmi but you asked and i really can’t and i haven’t been able to all week and i’ve tried everything and it’s really frustrating and-“ i stopped myself when i noticed i was rambling. i looked at him with an embarrassed expression as i waited for a reply.
“oh” he replied. i dropped my head in embarrassment “would you- would you want me to like help you?” i snapped my head up to look at him. “i’m sorry i overstepped” he sighed. “no” i said. “could you help me? please?” i asked. “you sure?” he looked at me. i nodded. “just relax and i’ll do all the work okay?” “ok” “and if you need me to stop at any time just let me know and i will” “thank you so much matt you really don’t have to do this.”
“thank me later” he smirked before kissing me. he look his time on the kiss, making it as hot but as sweet as possible. his hands glided up my body starting at my waist and coming up to squeeze my tits. i moaned into the kiss. he continued to massage my breasts while he started to work his mouth down my jaw, to my neck, and then to the exposed skin on my chest.
he then moved his hands under my top, and he pulled it off, freeing my bare chest. he latched his mouth onto one of my nipples, making me wetter than before. i’ve known matt for so long and never knew he was so good at this kind of stuff.
his hands moved down to the waistband of my underwear, playing with it before he pulled them off completely and tossing them to the side. every movement he made was so gentle but so attractive.
he then took two of his fingers and rubbed them up and down my folds, spreading around my juices. i slightly grinded down onto his hand. i tired not to be too needy, but i needed his touch so badly. “you ready for me to touch you?” he looked me in my eyes. “please matt” i whined.
he stuck his fingers inside of me, pumping in and out at the perfect pace making me moan. his thumb met my clit, rubbing it in fast circles, causing more stimulation. i arched my back off of the bed and moaned uncontrollably. “fuck mattttt” i whined. “you’re doing so good for me” he said softly. “oh god matt” i threw my head back.
“i’m wanna taste you” he said lowering his head between my legs. “can i taste you?” he asked. “yes matt please” before i could register, his mouth latched onto my clit. “oh my fuck matt! oh my god” i couldn’t control my moans. “mattttt i’m so close please don’t stop.” he continued licking and sucking my clit, as he added in a finger, making the pleasure double.
“mattttt i’m cumming! oh my got im cumming” i cried out in a state of euphoria. i had tears of happiness running down my face, as my chest heaved. “thank you so much matt i owe you big time” he came up from between my legs and smiled at me. “feel better now?” he asked
•••••••••••••••••••••••••
a/n- i hope you liked!! lmk bc it was definitely different for me

A mothers instinct (pt. 2!)
neteyam x fem!reader
if you were to ask neytiri how she felt about the na’vi named y/n. she would gladly go on and on about her.
she saw y/n as one of her own.
she also saw how neteyam looked at y/n. even how y/n looked at neteyam.
watching the two of them grow up into beautifully grown adults was bittersweet for neytiri.
bitter, due to the fact they’re no longer little na’vi that like to look for animals in the forest. however sweet, because she got to witness the two fall for each other obliviously.
the two were around the age where they would be finding mates. they both completed their rituals to become adults…all except finding their other half.
noticing this, neytiri decided to play…oh what was it called… a…a matchmaker! she decided she would send the two to go find something at the Tree of Voices.
when she asked the pair to find this special “root” of a plant that only so happens to grow near the tree, they gladly accepted.
“of course we can help! i’ve been wanting to see the Tree of Voices for a while now!” y/n happily said with a giant grin on her face.
neteyam studied y/n’s smile for a second, almost as if it caused him to go into a daze. “sure yeah yeah we can go to the tree” he mumbled, still staring at y/n.
neytiri smirked. “alright then go! take your time trying to find it. it’s rare” she stated with a smile as she strutted away.
“come on neteyam! first one there gets bragging rights!” shouted y/n as she started to sprint.
“wha-hey! that’s not fair you cheated!” screamed neteyam while snapping out of his daze and trying to catch up to her.
the entire way to the Tree of Voices you could hear the laughter coming from the duo.
y/n eventually won.
only because neteyam wanted to see her smile longer… and because he happened to think she looked cute whenever she was proud of something she did.
“i won! who’s the mighty warrior now!” y/n laughed.
neteyam watched her strut around the tree as if she was accepting a prize with a fond smile on his face.
“alright you won! now come on, we need to find this root for my mother” stated neteyam as he was admiring the tree.
“oh come onnn, why can’t we admire the beauty eywa presents to us neteyam? i mean, just look how beautiful it is here!” she said while spinning around.
neteyam however wasn’t focused on the beuaty of the tree. “yeah…beautiful” he mumbled in a daze as he watched the glow from the tree reflect onto y/n’s skin, giving her this ethereal glow.
the two walked around the tree “looking” for the root of the tree that neytiri needed.
“hey neteyam? do you ever think we’ll find our mates?” y/n questioned with a slight frown.
“hm? what makes you ask that?” neteyam wonders.
“well…it’s just that i know your mom and dad mated here… before eywa. do you think she could tell us who we’re destined to be with?” y/n asked while reaching for her queue behind her.
“i think you’re right. we should check…but i have a pretty good idea of who i want to end up with” he mumbled with his freckles glowing slightly.
they both took their queues and let the pink tendrils connect with the glowing stem of the tree. the two then closed their eyes to accept the vision.
y/n noticed she was still in the forest. the first thing she heard was laughter, but not any laughter. a child laughing. y/n walked toward the sound and saw the back of a male na’vi.
she noticed the na’vi was tickling the child that was sitting in his arms. she slowly stepped around and got a proper look at his face.
it was neteyam.
neteyam noticed her standing there and looked up, away from the child.
“hello my love. you’re back early? did something go wrong with your hunt?” he questioned nervously.
“uh- no! no everything is ok!” y/n stuttered out while looking at him in shock.
she couldn’t believe that eywa was showing her the future. her future with neteyam.
she slowly squatted down next to neteyam and the small little girl that was previously laughing in his arms.
the little girl seemed to notice her there when her ears perked up and a small glint appeared in her eyes. “mommy! you back!!” she lightly screamed as she stumbled into y/n’s arms.
she was no older than 3 years old. she had the looks of y/n, but one could easily tell she was just like neteyam.
you could also easily see that she was a daddy’s girl.
“hi baby.” whispered y/n, still in shock that she and neteyam have a future together. plus a whole child.
neteyam looked at them with a find smile on his face.
the vision slowly faded away as y/n was brought back into the present where she was still at the Tree if Voices with neteyam next to her.
she turned her head to see if neteyam was still in his vision.
however once she turned around she saw that he disconnecting his queue with a giant smile on his face.
he turned his head to make eye-contact with her.
the two of them made eye contact for a while. then they both rushed towards each other to embrace the other in a passionate hug.
the hug spoke the words they were scared to speak.
“…did you see it too?” neteyam hesitantly asked her whike tightening his grip on her.
“yes. i saw us. with a beautiful baby girl.” y/n spoke breathlessly. she had slight tears in her eyes knowing she had a future with her long time friend, soon to be husband.
“wait you only saw one daughter? i saw our two daughters and a son!” neteyam spoke with wide eyes.
the two of them pulled away from the hug with their jaws dropped.
“we need to speak to your mother.”
“we need to speak to my mother.”
the two spoke at the same time.
neteyam then grabbed y/n’s hand and started the trip back to their home.
the two spent the rest of the walk smiling and laughing, knowing that they would end up to together.
they then started to try and guess what they would name their children.
neytiri saw the two walk into her tent with giant smiles on their faces, their hands linked together, and their tails swishing in glee.
“i take it you didn’t find the root?” she smugly asked.
the two made eyecontact with her and saw her smirk. they dropped their jaws in disbelief.
“there was no root to find was there!” y/n stated in awe.
neytiri just laughed.
the two teens then started to laugh along with her.
neteyam was speechless. his mother knew they would end up together.

Hello again! I was wondering if you still do requests and if so, can I request a Severus x reader but platonic? Like we've all read Sev being like a guardian of sorts to students but what if reader is like the prof that cares for Sev when he was a student? Like Severus' favorite teacher is reader cause not only is she smart and teaches well but she has a soft spot for Sevy and is one of the profs that punishes the marauders every time she catches them bothering Snape. Snape can see her as a mother figure that even up to the point that Sev actually became a teacher he still goes to her for his problems and she just babies him lol. (Reader was once the youngest teacher to teach in Hogwarts before Snape took that role)
Alright alright gonna do this now!
Platonic Severus snape x fem reader
All my respect
Severus had a rocky relationship with adults from a very young age that’s for sure, his home life and neighborhood left little in his faith for grown ups.
It was a rocky two first years when he couldn’t even trust his head of house let alone another professor, he felt uncomfortable if he had to seek his head of house for help, he preferred to suffer in silence, even if it meant having to sit in aching bruises from his bullies until he learned how to brew a cooling balm.
No one did a thing to genuinely help him, no one, he hated how everyone overlooked him, how They saw him just as a weird kid who others avoid for no reason but that they didn’t understand him.
That continued until his third year, after a brutal beating from Sirius and his wand almost snapping in half, he remembers it very clearly he was sitting in the hall feeling the entire world was against him.
Then you came, young looking and worried, at the time you were only 28 years of age, he knew you were the new hired substitute professor for charms.
He expected to be scolded and sent to his dorm but instead you kneeled down and without even asking a question tended to his injuries self, he flinched when you first touched his face but that didn’t stop you from applying some healing balm and checking his medical chart with your wand.
He was speechless to say the least, no one ever cared this much about him…even his mother…
"Tell me who did this to you and I don’t want any lies little boy" you tried to sound firm but he could tell you were still panicked about his state and what you saw on his medical charm, he was a scrawny malnourished boy "you can tell me, you’re not gonna be in trouble I promise"
Next thing he knows points have been deducted from the lions and he’s all healed up. Although that still didn’t make him trust you that easily.
But it kept happening, you stopped whoever was bothering him, looked out for him when he seemed a little off and much more, you didn’t rest until you got the marauders suspended from hogwarts for a whole semester because of that idiot and deadly prank.
You scolded him still but always with a gentle hand checking if he’s hurt or hiding an injury like he sometimes did.
"One of these days you will kill me with a heart attack!"
"They started it!"
Heck you even helped him get some rare plants for his potion making and recommended him to higher education, even after he messed up and used that awful name, you believed him, you saw the good in him and stood by his side.
He can thank you a million times but he still feels like it isn’t enough, even now at 35 of age, you’re 50 and still working in the same school.
He comes to you for guidance, he has tea with you every other day and you sit there smiling fondly as he complains and rants about his day, just like the little boy you once knew.
"With all my respect to you mother but these kids are insufferable" it takes him a minute to realize what he just said and he blushes crazily but you chuckle.
"Oh please, you’re the son I never birthed"
Severus sighs still blushing slightly from embarrassment "Isn’t it too late for me to call my professor mum?" He used sarcasm to hide his embarrassment.
You sipped your tea and leaned back on your chair "I remember when you were just a little lad, sneaking around to brew your outrageous potions and getting burned then coming back to me with a pout and tear stained eyes demanding I give you my cooling balm"
He smirked crossing his arms "I can make it myself now, I don’t need to be babied anymore"
"Oh? So you don’t your favorite tea cup?" She laughed softly.
Severus frowned dropping his arms, his tea cup, the one you bought specially for him because the design reminded you of a cauldron, it was childish and looked out of place in your neatly organized cabin with all the good China sets.
But he still went for it, he wouldn’t pick that one round tea cup and take it for himself, you would tease him about needing a grown up one but he would defend himself saying he would do just fine with this one.
"Well, good to know some things just don’t change sevy"
"Don’t call me that I’m a grown adult! I’m taller than you!"
"Whatever helps you sleep at night sevy" fighting you was useless, he should’ve known better but he always felt light, he breathed out and let a small smile creep on his lips.

Hey girl! I'm literally SO OBSESSED with your writing
Can you make a little oneshot where Y/n pranks Peter that she's pregnant, and he just freaks out? Ty <3
April’s Fool- Peter Parker
A/n: Omg my first request aft my comeback! 🥲🤍. Btw i already done this prank with my bf, and he almost died do i got inspo from that situation😂
Warnings: Swearing, mentions of sex, fake pregnancy
Don’t forget to share, like, comment and leave your ideas here
Bellah’s Masterlist 🪻
“Peter?” Y/n calls her boyfriend's name when she hears the door to her house open.
“Yes?” The boy answers from afar, and Y/n quickly gets up from the floor, arranging a positive pregnancy test and a pair of baby shoes on her bed, along with a letter congratulating the new dad.
For Peter and Y/n, the first day of April was a day when they planned increasingly absurd surprises, praying that they could pull off a prank on each other without the other finding out. This year, unlike every year since they were fourteen, Y/n had fallen for one of Peter's pranks, saying that she had failed the year because she had only gotten one bad grade. Parker, being the darling of the teachers and coordinators, managed to plan a fake riot in order to scare his girlfriend. After a crying fit and an intense existential crisis, Y/n decided to take revenge.
Her mother's best friend was a few months pregnant, and after finding some little shoes from when she was a baby lost in her parents' closet, Y/n decided to pull the best prank possible.
Pretending to be pregnant
And as generic as it might seem to some people, for Peter it would be a nightmare on earth. Parker, because he lived with his aunt, had always tried not to give her a hard time and to give her everything she had once given him. A few months ago, he had been offered a change of position at Stark Enterprises, and his duties as Spider-Man were increasing, as were his responsibilities at school because he was in his final year.
His focus was divided into two: studies and Spider-Man
In this world, monetary security was also a part, as it was a consequence of his studies. Of course, one day he would love to start a family, but that was a desire further down the line that, if realized now, could be detrimental to the life he had always hoped to have and provide for those he loved.
In addition to the hidden drama classes that Y/n took, she also decided to get her mother to act with her when Peter came to visit, as he did every day after his internship. Because he lived a few blocks from Y/n's apartment, his evening routine had a small part dedicated to his girlfriend. Parker took off his shoes, placing them next to a decorative plant that was positioned near the kitchen, where Y/n's mother was already ready to start the tense atmosphere. The woman stared at Peter with a closed face, while in her hands was a cup of chamomile tea, which spread its scent throughout the room.
“Hello, Mrs. L/N”
The woman continued to stare at him without reaction.
“I didn't know you liked tea. Y/n told me you hated it.” Parker gives a half-hearted smile, smoothing his brown hair with one of his free hands.
“I don't like it, but today I needed to calm my nerves. Maybe you should too.” The woman in the colorful overalls says in response, getting up from the island stool positioned in the center of the kitchen and walking into the living room without exchanging another word with the newcomer.
Peter looked at her in confusion, but headed towards the end of the corridor that led to his girlfriend's bedroom. Before entering, she asked him again if he could open the door, to which he replied:
“Get in here pronto, Peter.” His girlfriend complained in a low tone, causing the young man to rush inside.
The brunette closed the door behind him, keeping his brown eyes on his girlfriend, who was sitting on the end of the bed with her hands behind her and breathing irregularly. Peter approached slowly, feeling his heart beat faster every time he sensed his girlfriend's insecurity in her gaze. With trembling lips, the superhero asks:
“What happened?” Even though Peter already knew that something bad had happened, he still made a point of asking first, trying to soften the impact of a possible shocking revelation.
Y/n takes a deep breath, concentrating on her Hollywood moment. The girl slowly moves away from the present she was hiding behind her, revealing what she had assembled on her bed. Peter feels the floor catching his feet, and the words escape his mouth like the air in his lungs.
“ Dude.” Peter stares at his girlfriend, who cries silently. “Y/n for God's sake I'm going to have a heart attack.”
Parker, with hurried steps, looks directly at the test, which was positive. He looked around for a red pen that could possibly have been used to tamper with the test result, but there was none. The hero's hands began to shake, and his mouth couldn't say a word except:
“Holy shit”
Y/n was holding back the pain he was feeling with all his might, for his thirst for revenge was greater.
“I don't know what to do.” Y/n decided to speak in a drunken voice.
“ Your- your mother she-she.” Peter points to the door, feeling his feet getting weaker and weaker, trying to ask Y/n if her mother knew about the pregnancy.
The girl just agrees, hugging her body and lowering her head.
“Oh my God, I'm literally going to shit myself” Peter sits down on the floor, running his fingers violently through his hair. “OH MY GOD”
“Peter! Stop freaking out. We need to do something” Y/n asks her boyfriend for support.
“We didn't do it without! I'm sure of it. I remember. My God, I didn't even know I could get someone pregnant with me- OH MY GOD HE'S GOING TO BE A MUTANT!" Peter shouts, getting up suddenly.
“Peter!” Y/n gets up together.
“HE'S GOING TO EAT YOUR ORGANS Y/N. HE'S GOING TO EXPLODE IN THERE.”
“PETER PARKER!” Y/n catches her boyfriend's eye.
“My God, could it be that my cum is radioactive and the condom has melted?” Peter wonders for a second.
“What?” Y/n looks at him confused and teary-eyed.
“What if he's just like me? And he gets stuck in your womb and can't get out again? I only learned to stop getting things stuck in my hands after four months of being Spider-Man. IT GETS WORSE! WHAT IF HE'S NOT LIKE ME? Y/n, if you've fucked Marcus, I'll kill myself in front of you right here and now. I hate that guy.” Peter can't control the whirlwind of thoughts invading his head.
“Do you really think I'd cheat on you?” Y/n asks offended.
“No, fuck no! I don't think so, but... when did this happen? My God, I think I need to see a doctor. A DOCTOR! I CAN'T AFFORD THE BABY'S HEALTH INSURANCE”
His girlfriend just slams both arms into his legs, giving up talking and collapsing into heavy sobbing.
The brunette takes a deep breath, feeling his body drenched in nervous sweat. The boy, trembling, crawls in front of his girlfriend, who is collapsed at the foot of the bed, looking for support from her boyfriend, who is on the verge of crying too. The hero touches his girlfriend's knees, caressing them briefly in an attempt to calm her down. Peter looked once more at the shoes and the positive pregnancy test, and then his rational side shook him hard, bringing him back to the reality he would have to overcome at that moment. His girlfriend was coughing between loud cries and sobs, while Peter couldn't think of what to say to calm her down.
“I'm dropping out of MIT.” The brunette said after a second of silence.
The girl wiped away the tears that fell down her red face.
“What?” Y/n asks, feeling her heart stop.
“I'm going to study here in New York to be closer to you... well... you two.” Peter lays his head on his girlfriend's lap, who just listens to his declaration attentively. “I'm going to quit Stark's internship and get a home-office job so I can help you with him or her. How far along are you?”
Y/n feels her heart heavy, and answers while holding back a real cry.
“More than a month.” He replied, feeling like he was going to fall apart at any moment.
“ Damn it, love. Why didn't you tell me?” The girl just stares at him, trying to make him remember his brief outburst. “Oh... never mind.”
“I-I didn't want to end your dream.” Y/n cries, now a real cry as she realizes that she has chosen the right boyfriend to share her life with, even in difficult times. After so many disappointments in love, and men who she knew wouldn't give up even a night of drinking and gambling to be in her company, she had finally managed to choose the right one.
“Love.” Peter brings one of his hands to his girlfriend's cheek, caressing it with his thumb. “You're my dream”
The girl smiles through her tears and bends down so that her lips meet his.
“Peter?” The girl calls out.
“Huh?”
“It was a prank. APRIL FIRST, YOU MORON!” The girl stood up screaming and went to her dressing table, where a cell phone was hidden behind some make-up brushes. She took it out and finished recording the reaction of her boyfriend, who was static once again, realizing that he had been caught for revenge.
“I swear to God, one of these days you're going to kill me with your fucking crazy ass ideas." The brunette nodded, putting his hand on his heart and bursting into laughter after all the nerves he'd built up. “How did you get a positive test?”
“Marie, my mother's best friend is pregnant. I asked her to take the test and my mother gave it to me this afternoon. The shoes are mine. I found them in my parents' closet.” The girl wiped her crying eyes, sat down next to her boyfriend, and then hugged him, allowing the pain to wash over her.
“Did your mom get in on this too?” The brunette laughed louder, feeling his stomach ache, and then he collapsed into a sob of relief. “I hate you”
“You love me” The girl wipes away the older man's tears.
“I really do. But don't ever do that again in your life. I was about to have a freak-out”

personal photographer II l.freigang x reader
she’s so incredibly girlfriend coded - based on this request here. personal photographer II l.freigang x reader
your eyes slowly fluttered awake as you heard a click near your ear, "baby please no." you mumbled tiredly, covering your face with your hands as your girlfriend towered over you, her dreaded camera held to her eye.
"you look so pretty in the morning." laura cooed, moving to straddle you on top of the covers as she continued to take photos with a grin, holding your wrists in her hand as you glared up sleepily at the camera, hearing one final click.
"good morning schatz." the german whispered, moving to pin your hands softly to the mattress as she attacked your face with kisses, your own lips unable not to curl up into a soft smile as your cheeks flushed pink.
with one final smooch laura hopped off you and out of bed, meaning you winced at the bright sunlight that flooded the room as your girlfriend suddenly yanked open the curtains.
"laura!" you moaned out as she held her camera up again, snapping another photo of you half asleep bathed in the gentle morning sunshine, causing you to roll over and bury your face in the pillow.
"time to wake please my beloved!" the blonde sang out as you felt her weight settle on top of your back. you relaxed as her lips trailed their way up your bare back, gently kissing along the warm tanned skin.
"hello." her head flopped down on the pillow beside you as your head turned, cracking one eye open to meet her lopsided grin. "let's go get breakfast. up!" her hand playfully smacked your bum, stealing another quick kiss and moving off you.
with a sigh you rolled onto your back, rubbing your eyes tiredly and shuffling back into a sitting position, pulling the duvet up to your shoulders with a shiver and a yawn.
"laura!" you scowled at her as the taller girl snapped yet another photo of you, only blowing you a kiss and skipping out of the room, swinging the camera around as she went. "too early for that stupid thing." you grumbled, wiping the sleep from the corner of your eyes with your thumb.
knowing your girlfriend was hardly patient you hurried yourself into the shower and sure enough a few moments later she joined you in the bathroom, pulling herself up to sit by the sink, already dressed and ready.
"where should we go to eat lau?" you called out, rinsing the soap off your body and turning the tap off, the blonde handing you your towel as your arm shot out expectantly.
"the one on the corner? with all the plants and the benches outside?" laura suggested, head buried in her phone as you hummed in agreement, stepping out of the shower and wrapping your towel around you.
"hello sexy!" the blonde looked up and whistled cheekily, snapping a few photos of you on your phone as you flipped her off, disappearing into the bedroom to change.
"i already laid out clothes for you liebling." your girlfriend called out as you noticed the outfit sat neatly on your bed, shaking your head with a small smile at the gesture.
"like it?" laura asked, hugging you from behind and softly kissing your neck as you finished changing. "i look like you." you teased, your socks the only item of clothing currently on your body which didn't belong to the blonde.
"so then what is not to like?" laura grinned, peppering your face with kisses again and grabbing your hand, tugging you out with her toward the front door.
with it being such a sunny day you both took your time strolling hand in hand down the street to the cafe, swinging your intertwined fingers back and forth and chattering away to one another, the two of you seemingly never running out of things to talk about.
"oh! liebchen stand there please." your girlfriends hands moved to your shoulders, pushing you gently and gesturing for you to pose as she took a few steps back and brought her camera up to her face.
"smile!" she ordered making you roll your eyes and crack a smile, squinting slightly from the sun as you heard a click and the two of you continued on your walk. you stole your girlfriends sunglasses from where they sat on top of her head, dropping them down onto your nose as you arrived.
"thank you." you both chimed in unison after the young girl working had come over and taken your order, settling back into your chairs conversing. "why?" you whined as your coffees arrived and once again the girl held her camera up to her face.
"because you are my muse baby, obviously." the german smiled charmingly in her adorable accent once she'd taken her photos, the camera hanging slack around her neck again as she sipped on her coffee.
"i will be back liebling." your girlfriend stood and pecked your lips a few times sweetly once she'd finished her food, as always finishing much faster than you. you were always teasing the blonde for inhaling her food instead of tasting it.
you assumed she'd gone to use the bathroom as you continued to eat, soaking up the gloriously warm weather and looking forward to the rest of the afternoon to be spent with your girlfriend who also had the day off.
speaking of, as she took her time you grew a little concerned, it had easily almost been twenty minutes and there was no sign of her. you tried calling her however it rang out which caused your frown to deepen. she loved to mess around but surely she wouldn't have ditched you?
but as soon as you started to spiral, overthinking all the reasons your girlfriend would have left you for, you caught sight of her mop of blonde hair making her way back over from inside and you let out a prolonged sigh of relief.
"lau where the hell did you-" "tada!" the words dried up in your mouth as the grinning striker held out a bunch of gloriously bright colored poppies wrapped up in brown paper.
"for you, my beautiful girl." laura bent down with a soft smile, your lips pressed against one anothers as you grabbed her face tenderly stroking her jaw with your thumbs, pulling away and melting at the sight of her as she kissed you a few more times and sat back down across from you.
"how did you even..." you trailed off as you very carefully placed the boquet of flowers on the table, your girlfriend quite sweaty and her face flushed red. you smiled as she held up a finger signalling you to wait as she chugged a glass of water.
"i ran to the markets." she exhaled, pouring another glass and chugging that before glancing at you and to your leftovers with a raised eyebrow. you nodded and slid the plate to her as her face lit up, eagerly tucking into the last of your meal.
"you do know we could have just gone to the markets together after we eat?" you teased with a shake of your head as she shrugged, mumbling something about already having plans for the two of you with a mouthful of food.
your gaze drifted back to the poppies, which she of course had remembered were your favourite flower, touching them fondly as your lips curled into a grateful smile.
though that dropped when you heard yet another click, laura's face hidden behind her camera as it clicked again and you couldn't help but laugh. the taller girl sent you a wink and a cheeky grin, announcing she'd paid already and standing up, offering you her hand as you picked up your flowers.
"babe!" you laughed again as you began to walk back to your apartment, the girl behind you as you heard another few clicks. "what? i am just documenting how good your bum looks in my shorts, for science." she caught up to you, stealing a kiss and smacking you on the behind, sprinting off and calling over her shoulder that last one home was a loser.
your own personal photographer.

Hello how are you?
you could write Aemond offending Y/n in a moment of rage but he regrets it and asks for forgiveness
HELLO, I AM WELL, THANK YOU FOR ASKING.
YOU GOT IT, DUDE.
Warnings: Angst, eventual fluff. Word count: ~1700
She breathes a withering sigh as her hand strokes the cold, empty space in the bed next to her. It is now the eighth night in a row that Aemond has not come to bed when she has. Sad as it is to admit, she is becoming used to falling asleep alone.
She knows that Aemond always joins her eventually; even in sleep her subconscious mind registers the dip in the mattress as he climbs in beside her at whatever godforsaken hour he has finally finished his crown duties. But then when she wakes in the morning he is gone again, rising before her to get a head start on the day. All that lingers of him is his scent and the subtle warmth of his body on the sheets. Both are long gone by the time night falls again. She misses her husband.
Deciding that she can take no more of her and Aemond being passing ships in the night, she slips out of bed and pads barefoot to the library, the space she knows he is now spending all of his evenings, evenings he used to spend with her. Her hair is loose and she is dressed only in her nightgown but she doesn't care; the hour is late and there is no one around to see her.
She pushes the heavy wooden doors open - not all the way - just enough for her to slip through the gap without causing too much of a draught or a disturbance. There he sits, her husband Aemond. His eyepatch is discarded on the table next to him, his hair though still in its usual half up, half down style is disheveled - the likely result of how many times he has run his hand over it in exasperation. He is hunched over a table littered with scrolls, furiously scribbling notes as his good eye occasionally flickers towards the papers spread out around him. He does not even register her presence.
“Aemond…” she whispers, causing his head to finally rise from his note taking as he looks towards her, his brow furrowing with concern.
“What is the matter, my love?” He asks. “You ought to be asleep by now.”
“I am missing my husband.” She purrs, stepping behind him to rub his shoulders.
“Mmm. And the realm will miss its Prince Regent and Protector, while Aegon recovers, if I neglect my duties.” He says matter of factly.
“What about your husbandly duties?” She asks, rounding his chair to face him. “I have barely seen you in over a week. You are neglecting me.”
She can sense the irritation in the flare of his nostrils and the furrow of his brow as he looks upon her, but she hopes that she can win him around. She has always managed to in the past.
She moves to sit in Aemond’s lap, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and leaning in to whisper to him. “Can your wife not provide a welcome distraction, even for a moment?”
The force with which Aemond shoves her off of his lap plants her bottom firmly onto the cold flagstone floor. She stares up at him wide-eyed. If she had thought that action cruel then the words that tumble from her husband’s lips next are a death blow.
“I have no taste for your depravity.” His voice is cool, but his tone is spiteful. “If you wish to parade around the Keep like a common whore, and believe yourself more important than the Crown, then I believe you’ve married the wrong brother.”
She flinches, her heart constricting painfully as she scrambles to her feet.
Aemond’s face immediately softens, rising from his seat to reach for her but she backs away, a soft whimper escaping her with the force of which she is holding back her tears. She runs from him, throwing open the library doors and hurrying down the hallway.
She does not return to their shared marital bedchamber, choosing instead to retreat to her own. It is a room she has not entered since her and Aemond were wed. Neither of them ever felt the need to make use of their separate rooms following their wedding night, preferring to sleep together.
There is a coldness and an overbearing sense of emptiness in the air that serves only to deepen the ache in her chest. As she lays upon the now unfamiliar feeling bed the tears finally come; hot, salty and relentless.
There is a rational part of her that knows that Aemond does not mean what he said. He is under immense pressure at the moment and is struggling to juggle the responsibilities of being both a husband and a Prince Regent. His reaction was one of frustration at feeling backed into a corner. Duty has always weighed heavily upon his shoulders.
However, knowing all of this does little to remove the sting from his words or the pain in her heart. Perhaps she should have gotten dressed before seeking him out. Maybe he really doesn’t think they are suited for each other.
The thoughts swirl continuously around in her mind as her cries turn to sniffles, before she falls into a fitful, dreamless sleep.
For a few brief moments upon awakening the next day, she forgets, and all feels right in the world. Then the room swims into focus as she drifts fully into consciousness and she takes in her foreign surroundings. It is as though a large weight has suddenly been placed upon her chest and she groans, pulling the blankets up over her head as she curls in on herself. She cannot face the day today.
When her handmaidens enter her bedchamber, offering to help ready her for the day, she dismisses them. She claims she is not hungry when she is told that breakfast is being served. She remains curled in a ball, miserable thoughts consuming her mind and breaking her own heart. She wonders if Aemond feels as broken as she does. Somehow she doubts it.
As morning bleeds into afternoon, she finally rouses herself from her bed. The ceaseless rumbles of hunger in her stomach making it impossible for her to wallow any longer.
Taking in the lack of possessions in the room - she has moved almost everything to her marital chambers - she silently curses herself and wishes she hadn’t spent all morning sending away the various servants that had attempted to tend to her.
In only her nightgown, she makes the inelegant, but thankfully short, walk from her own rooms back to the ones she shares with Aemond, seeking clothing and perhaps a bath.
She freezes at the sight that meets her as she opens the door, her heart feels as though it has leapt into her throat. Aemond sits on the bed in a sorry state. His hair is untied and he is wearing only his undershirt and breeches.
He looks up as she enters. It looks as though he has been crying. They stare at each other in silence for a few moments, neither one of them knowing quite what to say. Usually he is in council meetings at this hour of the day, she was not expecting to see him.
“I- I didn’t think you’d be here…” She finally confesses.
Aemond gives a small nod. “I have asked Grandsire to lead in my stead today. I said I was unwell.”
She has never felt so awkward or uncomfortable in her own husband’s presence before. She shifts from one foot to the other, keeping her hands clasped in front of her. “I…um…just came back to get something to wear. All of my clothes are here…at the moment.”
Aemond’s face twists in anguish at the last part of her statement. He rises from the bed, taking her hands in his. “Here is where they should stay. I am so very sorry, my love.”
Considering the heartache she has felt since leaving the library the previous night, she surprises herself when she doesn’t melt at Aemond’s words, instead she bristles with anger, yanking her hands away. “What you said, what you did to me, was terrible.”
Aemond bows his head slightly. “I know…I should never have said it. I did not mean it.”
“Then why did you say it?” She folds her arms across her chest, looking at him defiantly.
He sighs, scrubbing a hand over his face. “It has not been easy for me these past few weeks. There is so much pressure on me, acting as Protector of the Realm. My duties pull me away from you. I am only able to hold you when you are sleeping. I feel like I am failing as a husband and when you confirmed that I am…I lost my temper. I am sorry, my love.”
“You aren’t failing as a husband, Aemond, you are just busy. All I wanted was a little of your attention.”
“I am trying. Everything I do is to make you proud. The thought of holding you when I return each night is what gets me through every tedious Council meeting.”
“You hold me?” She asks, a ghost of a smile tugging at her lips.
“Every night. Except last night. When I returned you weren’t here...” She glances over his shoulder to see that her pillows have been heaped onto Aemond’s side of the bed.
He follows her line of sight before turning back to her sheepishly. “They smelled like you…”
She huffs a small laugh and he looks at her hopefully.
“Do you forgive me?”
“I will work on it.” She says honestly. “You really hurt me, Aemond. I need you to remember I am your wife. Don’t treat me like an enemy. I am on your side.”
“I know. I never meant to make you feel like I thought otherwise. And I will spend every day proving to you that I am worthy of having you on my side.”
He steps forward cupping her cheeks and gently pressing his forehead to hers.
“We should get dressed, people will be wondering where we are.” she whispers.
“No”, Aemond murmurs, “The realm has all of me every day, but today they will not have us.”

(Not a one shot but over all just headcanons plzz ☺️)
Hello there anon! Thank you for such a cute request <3
While I do love my headcanons I hope you don’t mind a bit of predetermined context as to why the reader left at first!
Missed you more than you know.
─────────────────
──────────
♡ - It’s not like you wanted to leave your friends (Leaning more towards found family at this point really), but you wanted to pursue your own goals! And he— well, your lover.. Couldn’t just up and leave with you. He had to attend to his own duties as a mentor!
♡ - Since you were little, you’ve always wanted to travel. You were an artist, and your goal was to draw as much fauna as you could in your quite short life. Wukong had helped you a ton— especially while he was courting you! His gifts were often messily put together flowers and saplings, right at your window! At some point, your small apartment was your own personal nursery.
♡ - But he couldn’t just give everything to you and call your dreams off. You wanted to actually see fauna thriving under the hands of Mother Nature! To not just sketch the specimen but the surroundings as well, the wildlife. You grew warm and fuzzy just thinking of it.
♡ - So after a full year of preparation, you had finally taken your long awaited leave in pursuit of your dreams; Giving your simian one last kiss, you bid him goodbye. The way in which his tail was securely wrapped around your wrist slowly softened in defeat as you turned away.
You knew that if you looked back, you’d never be able to leave.
♡ - Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Romania, Italy, Croatia— and so many other destinations had been just what you’ve been dreaming of. Europe was just as beautiful as you’ve read! If not more so. And one sketchbook had grown to 3, 4 if you cared to count the pages which were half filled.
♡ - And every night (At least every night where he wasn’t busy himself), Wukong would telepathically communicate with you! You just called it spiritual face time and chose to call it a day.
♡ - While you’d ramble about whatever interesting interactions or discoveries you’ve made, Wukong would keep you updated on how everyone was doing. An improvement in MK’s technique, Mei fixing up a new scooter she had found, etc.
♡ - And every night, after you’ve wished each other good night— he’d never forget to mention just how empty flower fruit mountain felt without you.
“I love you,”
“I miss you more every day you’re gone,”
“Your warmth, that laugh, the way your cheeks brighten at my cheesy comments.”
“I wish you were here with me right now. Heh, everyone does.”
♡ - After what felt like an eternity; you were more than satisfied with your work and began heading home! You couldn’t wait to tell him in person everything you’ve accomplished, and just how satisfied you were with your numerous sketches, watercolors, and inked works you’d soon frame all over your abode in remembrance.
♡ - Walking into your apartment for the first time in ages made your heart soar the minute you saw what surrounded you.
Your flowers, shrubbery, and plants had all been taken care of to near perfection. Not a single vine or leaf had wilted since your departure.
♡ - Your partner had tenderly cared for each of your greenery with such pristine care that you thought they even looked better than they had before— blooming bright and beautifully even when it wasn’t in season.
♡ - It seemed like you weren’t alone in the apartment as well, turning your head to see the Monkey King himself finishing up watering your pitcher plants.
♡ - And making eye contact, you noticed the way his jaw hung slack— as if he was being delusional and you were simply a figment of his imagination.
—
“Hey, hey, don’t overwater it! It’s spilling all over the floor!” You had urgently exclaimed, rushing over to snatch the watering can from his gentle hold and place it on a flat surface.
(It was a ceramic white duck, by far one of your favorites out of the many which were just stashed away in your closet.)
A puddle seemed to have already been made in between you two— but you couldn’t help but giggle in his obvious stupor.
Wukong’s voice was seemingly breathless, speaking in almost a whisper.
“You’re back, for real?”
Before you could even muster a response, you found yourself lifted in the air— then back in his loving embrace.
“I am, Wukong. I’m back.”
—
♡ - A week had passed, and within it you were more than happy to tell him and everyone else about your travels / experiences. It was practically expected— being gone for so long only leaving so much room for stories to tell.
♡ - What wasn’t expected, however, was the absolute clinginess of Wukong since your return. He hadn’t left your side once if it was in his control. Training and personal duties aside, you never spent more than 10 minutes of free time without being interrupted by his boisterous nature.
“Honey, I’m home!”
♡ - Once, you had to go into the shopping district for produce. The fruits had seemed especially delicious! You couldn’t leave without your mate however, as he had chosen to shape himself into a butterfly just to inspect what you were buying. Totally just that, not like it was anything else!
♡ - You’ve even caught MK and Mei sneaking around you at times where you thought it was just you and Wukong. Not that you could blame them, though. Anyone would be interested if they knew the great sage couldn’t get enough of you, being around you, all that mumbo jumbo.
♡ - Nights were spent either in your own bedroom or on the floor of his shack, coddled by both him and the many other monkeys which called Flower Fruit Mountain your home.
—
It was the same as always; tail curled around you ankle, an arm snaked around your waist and his soft breathing muffled into your hair.
You whispered into the darkness of your room—
“Did you really miss me that much?”
You didn’t expect an answer so quick to come from his mouth.
“More than you know.”

Karma Is My Boyfriend (1/?)
Summary: Elain Archeron saved countless lives by vanquishing Graysen Nolan, her literal demon of a fiancé. She's a hero, but it's just not fair that being a good witch destined to rid the world of evil has left her tragically, painfully single. Enter Lucien Vanserra, the best cupid in the business, who's been sent by the universe to balance the karmic scales and find Elain the perfect new partner…
Happy Elucien Week! A huge thank you to @popjunkie42 for beta-reading, and my playlist for this fic can be found here. I'm so excited to participate in @elucienweekofficial; we're so lucky to have such a dedicated team of event runners!
Read on AO3 or under the cut!
The new energy in Elain's shop was too sweet to be demonic. It set her teeth on edge—artificial strawberry, discount chocolate, cards fashioned out of glitter glue and construction paper. Nothing at all like the gentle, soothing aura created by the plants lining the aisles of Roots 'n Shoots. Elain felt it following her like a bad smell as she repotted new shipments, packaged online orders, and upsold premium fertilizer to customers who'd wandered in.
By lunchtime, she'd resolved to get rid of it.
Whatever magic was hanging around didn't seem to be a threat, but she hadn't survived three years of fighting evil by taking chances.
She had half a mind to call her sisters for backup; even though Elain was a powerful witch, her premonitions of the future weren't nearly as effective for self-defense as Nesta's telekinesis or Feyre's ability to cause explosions with her mind. But whatever was hanging around didn't seem malicious. Just…cloying.
Elain let her intuition guide her and followed the strange feeling to its source. She walked slowly down an aisle of tall, leafy ferns and kept her eyes peeled.
There—through the leaves, a flash of red. Every molecule in her body seemed drawn right to it, like a compass and a magnetic pole. She hurried towards it.
The flash of red turned out to be long auburn hair pulled into a messy bun. Elain couldn't help but notice the way it gleamed in the sun as she gently pushed a fern leaf to the side to get a better look at the culprit…
And found a mechanical eye staring back.
She squeaked in surprise and jumped backward. The leaf rustled gently as it fell back into place. On instinct, Elain reached deep into her well of power, the same way she did just before vanquishing a demon.
"Well, hello there," the man purred from the other side of the fern.
"Can I help you find something?" Elain said.
He smiled at her in a way that could only be described as radiant. He was gorgeous, and the jagged scar running down the side of his face only seemed to enhance his beauty. Before Graysen, Elain would already have been fluttering her lashes at him.
Now, she just glared in suspicion.
"I think I've found exactly what I'm looking for," he said, which did nothing to set her at ease, even though his expression had gone heartbreakingly soft.
Before Elain could demand answers, he winnowed over to the aisle where she was standing. A risky move—he was lucky there were no mortal customers while the store was closed for her lunch hour.
"Not a single butterfly in that stomach of yours. This is going to be a tough case," he said thoughtfully. He cocked his head, staring at Elain like she was a particularly difficult puzzle he was trying to solve.
"I beg your pardon?" Elain said tightly.
He began circling her like a predator, mechanical eye clicking and whirring. Elain huffed in frustration as her hands settled on her hips. Her strange visitor might not have been a demon, but she didn't have time for anything supernatural with so many orders to fill by the afternoon.
"The meet-cute I engineered just now was some of my best work, but it didn't get your heart fluttering at all. That ex-fiancé left you with quite the wound, didn't he?"
For the last year, Elain walked around with a ragged hole in her heart that refused to close, and to add insult to injury, the entire magical world knew everything about her literal ex from hell. "If you're here to discuss Graysen Nolan, get out of my shop," she said with all the venom she could muster.
"I'm here for you, Elain."
"If you're not an innocent in need of protection, it has to wait."
"Put me to work while we talk, then. I can multitask," he said with an elegant shrug.
She hesitated. The smartest course of action still seemed to be ordering this stranger out of her store, but...she could use the help. And at least he wasn't evil.
Gods, had her standards really sunk that low?
"At least tell me your name." It was irritating that he already seemed to know hers.
He sketched a bow. "Lucien Vanserra, at your service."
"The only service I require at the moment is someone to water my pothos," Elain said with a meaningful nod towards a watering can and row of plants towards the back of the room.
To her surprise, Lucien began filling the watering can without a single complaint. For a moment, Elain watched, telling herself it was to make sure he was doing it correctly—and not at all because he was absurdly beautiful.
She forced herself to turn her attention back to organizing the cards with handwritten care instructions that Roots 'n Shoots included with every houseplant they sold. She could have saved herself time and printed them, but the personal touch was exactly the sort of thing that kept customers coming back to her instead of the big box garden supply store down the road. As she worked, they lapsed into a silence that was almost companionable.
But just as Elain started to relax, Lucien went and opened his mouth again."I thought there might have been an error when the file they gave me said you hadn't had any new partners since Graysen, but now I can see why."
She stilled. "What file?"
"The file that every cupid gets when they're assigned a new charge."
A cupid. Well, that certainly explained why his aura didn't feel demonic, just sickly sweet. Elain had never crossed paths with a cupid before, and she'd been under the impression they were supposed to be a bit more…cute .
"I'm one of your charges?" Technically, Elain was already someone's charge—even after Cassian had broken the rules and married Nesta, he'd remained the guardian angel assigned to protect the Archeron sisters after they'd learned they were witches tasked with ridding the world of evil.
"My only charge, actually. The elders insisted I focus on you and only you, Elain."
"And to what do I owe that honor?"
"You saved the world, and what goes around comes around, sweetie. Offing your demonic fiancé earned you the best and brightest cupid's help with finding a doting new partner."
Lucien said it as if she were supposed to fall over herself in gratitude. But she had half a mind to slap him for the audacity to think he could just waltz into her place of business and treat her like a charity case he'd magnanimously offered to take on.
"A partner is the last thing I need." Elain and her sisters had spent the last several nights rounding up a rogue band of crossroads demons that had been plaguing Velaris's intersections. Casting the vanquishing spells on each street had taken hours, leaving her with precious little time to eat, sleep, and run her store.
It had been the same with the succubi last week, the rabid werewolves the week before, and the banshees they'd spent a whole month rooting out. These days, going on a date was unthinkable.
Lucien rolled his eyes. "You're certainly not going to attract one with that attitude."
That, Elain decided, would be the end of the conversation. She was an Archeron, one of the three most powerful witches ever to walk the earth—not someone who'd allow herself to be condescended to.
All it took was one half-hearted wave of her hand, as if she were brushing away a fly, to activate the wards she'd placed around the shop. Twin vines of pure magic grew from the ceiling, hoisted Lucien up by the armpits, yanked him across the room, and dropped him unceremoniously onto the sidewalk outside. The spell wouldn't let him back in until she changed her mind.
Hopefully, that would be the last she'd hear from Lucien Vanserra.
***
As soon as she got home, Elain marched straight up the stairs of the Archeron manor. She and her sisters had inherited the house—along with their powers and mandate to protect the innocent—three years prior, and the Book of Shadows that never left the attic had guided them through all of it. Instructions for spell casting, potion recipes, taxonomies of every magical creature they might possibly come across…the Book contained it all.
The worn leather bindings creaked as Elain opened it and began searching for the entry on cupids. There wasn't an index; the ancient book was a work in progress by generations of Archeron witches, which meant it was a disorganized mess on a good day. Sometimes, wind would gust from nowhere and just so happen to flip the book to the correct page, but today, she had no such luck.
Hello, Elain.
She jumped, nearly dropping the Book. In her rush to find the entry on cupids, she hadn't noticed the bat hanging upside down from a rafter.
Rhysand—her other, non-angelic brother-in-law. He was a bat shifter that roosted in the attic while the manor had been empty, and though Nesta had been fully prepared to call animal control the night they'd discovered him, Elain had felt horrible throwing him out of his home. But since their family had lost their fortune, the manor was badly in need of expensive repairs, so Feyre struck a bargain: Rhys could stay as long as he paid rent and kept quiet.
He'd married the youngest Archeron sister within a year.
"I'm sorry if I woke you," Elain said aloud. Even after years of wielding magic of her own, she'd never gotten used to Rhys's way of speaking mind-to-mind, a power that allowed him to communicate even when he wasn't in a form with proper vocal cords.
He shifted, wings and fur disappearing as he turned back into a man. The claws stayed in place so Rhys could remain inverted—he claimed it did wonders for his back pain.
"You didn't," he said, "and if there's something urgent, I can call Feyre for you."
"It's nothing demonic. At least, I don't think. Do you know anything about cupids?"
Rhys cocked his head, violet eyes sparking with interest. "I've crossed paths with a few over the centuries. They're harmless."
"Are they all that arrogant?"
"Not in my experience."
Elain bit back a frustrated sigh and turned the Book's pages a little more forcefully than necessary. It was bad enough that the Powers That Be had decided that after Graysen, she was so tragically, painfully single that it required divine intervention, but they'd gone the extra mile and sent their biggest asshole of a cupid to "fix" her, too.
"Hopefully there's still a spell I can cast to keep him away."
"Did someone bother you?" Rhys's voice went cold, and suddenly he sounded less like the brother-in-law she badgered about remembering to recycle and more like the terrifying Lord of Nightmares he also was. Elain smiled; it was sweet, in a way—Rhys was fiercely protective of the people he loved.
"Yes, but not like that. Don't go crushing minds on my account."
"What happened?"
"A cupid named Lucien came to my shop today and said he'd been sent to help me find a new partner."
"And I assume you didn't take him up on the offer?"
Elain shook her head. She'd finally found the entry on cupids, which was barely a paragraph long: Benevolent. Responsible for connecting the worthy with their true love.
The worthy. Elain certainly didn't feel worthy, not after her love for Graysen had deluded her into thinking a demon could change. In the end, she'd done the right thing and vanquished him, but…making that choice had nearly torn her apart. She'd come so close to letting him live.
It had been nearly a year, and the sight of Graysen pleading for his life still haunted in her dreams.
"If you hated him that much, I'm sure the cupid elders could always send you another," Rhys said with a wry smile.
"I don't need a cupid. Business is booming at Roots 'n Shoots, and I have my hands full with protecting innocents and corralling you, Feyre, Cassian, and Nesta. That's more than enough for me."
"Being busy is all the more reason to accept expert help."
Elain closed the Book of Shadows and glowered at her meddling bastard of a brother-in-law. Rhys smirked back.
She started to go, but a pair of massive, membranous wings erupted from Rhys's back, allowing him to release his talons from the rafter, glide upwards, then land on his feet in one smooth movement. Elain crossed her arms, waiting for him to get out of her way once he'd shifted completely back into his human form.
Despite the irritation that was probably rippling off her in waves, Rhys's expression softened. "More than anyone else I know, you deserve to be happy, Elain. Even if you don't feel like you do."
A lump formed in Elain's throat. That meant a lot, coming from Rhys, who was always staring at Feyre like he couldn't believe his luck. "Love you," she said.
"Love you, too."
Despite all that love, he still didn't move, continuing to block her path to the attic's only exit. "I'm sensing a 'but,' though," Elain said.
"I should warn you that if you don't give things with that cupid a shot, Feyre might try matchmaking you herself. And if Feyre does, then so will Nesta…" He trailed off, letting the implications of her sisters teaming up hang in the air.
"Blackmail is immoral." She felt obligated to point it out, though pesky little things like ethics rarely stopped Rhys.
"Immoral and effective," he said, flashing her one last grin before disappearing into the shadows with a gentle gust of night-kissed wind.

The Seventh Years Graduation
As from a dream, Draco woke with an air of blissfulness. His first morning with the girl he loved was cut short, a few messy kisses and promises of tomorrow before he was faced with the dark gates of his home once more. He was ready, more now than ever, to face the music that was his parents and their wishes for his pureblood marriage.
After leaving them in a whirl of confusion the night before, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't slightly dreading the look on his mother's face once he sees her again. Draco could hear her now, scolding him for allowing his family to be shamed yet again, could picture the disapproving look his father would give him from the corner of his eye. He swallows thickly, but with the courage you had planted in him, he entered the foyer to be greeted with absolute silence. It wasn't as if being greeted by an empty home was unusual, it was just that at this moment, the silence was practically deafening.
He hesitated in calling out, but figured it would be worse if they knew he'd come home and not seeked them out first thing after yesterday's fiasco. "Mother? Father?" He called, only to be met with the slight echo of his voice in the quietness. Not even the house elf seemed to respond, and so, he wandered, cautiously, through to the drawing room they would usually reside in. When he entered, it appeared as if someone was there, a pot of tea and half drunk cup on the coffee table and the Daily Prophet sprawled out beside it.
"Hello?" He calls again, coming to a halt before the paper. The headline read "A Joyous Occasion: Returning Students to Graduate", and a rather lengthy article where Headmistress McGonagall had stated how 'utterly elated' she was for the returning seventh years after such a 'stressful and sorrowful time.' Draco flicks through a few more pages, various columns advertising products and, of course, Skeeter's addition. He huffs at her attempts, as the doorway suddenly darkens behind him.
"Draco." Lucius's voice comes at a shock against the silence of the room, Draco spinning on the spot to see his father, who, upon inspection, looked tireder than ever, "you have returned, I see."
"Father," Draco clears his throat, "is mother around?"
"I'm afraid she is not," Lucius said, gracefully crossing the room in an expensive looking gown, "She is collecting her dress for the graduation."
"Ah. Right." Draco breathes, questioning how his mother has simply continued with her graduation preparations.
With a flick of his wand, Lucius summons another tea cup, and steam begins to rise from the teapot. "Sit," he instructs his son, "there is something I wish to tell you."
Draco does as he's told, already aware that his actions had perhaps caused his mother to have a breakdown and leave his father looking like sleep had escaped him for at least a month. Lucius pours two fresh cups, and sips at the warm brew with a little satisfied hum. Draco, as if a guest in his own home, follows suit, sitting uncomfortably on the end of the couch.
"Not long after your mother and I graduated," Lucius begins, "there was an awful lot of talk about the Dark Lord and his success in becoming immortal. It was getting more and more apparent that this man was gaining an insurmountable amount of power."
Draco remained silent as his father took a pause.
"I, young and influenced, believed that following this Dark Lord was the right and just thing to do. My family held the same beliefs, as did your mother's. Swearing allegiance to him, in my inexperienced mind, made utter sense. The things I was doing... made sense. But what I've come to realise, in my doing so, I have caused undeniable pain to those dearest to me." Lucius stops, and looks Draco in the eyes, "and to you, most of all, it would seem."
"Father, I-"
"I often wondered what you may do now that the war was over and Voldemort is dead. I had pictured you following the same beliefs, marrying a pureblood and having children. Perhaps I was naive to think that those events hadn't changed you... that those around you hadn't changed you." Lucius said, ignoring Dracos interception. He could see a slight sheen over his father's eyes for the first time in his life, "what's her name, Draco?"
"Huh?" Draco sounds, a little dumbfounded, "oh, you mean Y/N? I-it's Y/N Y/L/N."
"Half blood?" Lucius asks, sipping his tea as Draco swallows another lump in this throat.
"Yeah," he nods, looking down at his cup, "her father is a muggle."
"I see." Lucius says simply, placing down his cup and saucer, "and do you love her?"
Draco almost chokes. Never did he think his father would ask him such a question, but here he was, looking at him with all seriousness. Even so, Draco's answer is strong and quick.
"Yes," he said without a beat, "more than anything."
Lucius nods yet again and rises.
"Then there is no more to be said," he announced, clearing the table with another flick of his wand, "we shall have to meet after the graduation. Perhaps over dinner."
As his father begins to leave, Draco stands from the couch, gaining his father’s attention. Confusion and elation courses through his veins.
"Is that it?" Draco challenges softly, "you're not going to scold me? Shout at me?"
"Would you still pursue this girl if I did?" Lucius asks calmly, "would you listen if I forbid you from seeing her? Even if I locked you in the highest room of this house, you would find a way to her, would you not?"
"Do I need to answer that?" Draco raises an eyebrow, and his father chuckles. The sound of it was so foreign to Draco's ears.
"Then I rest my case," Lucius holds his hands up, "your mother and I have spoken at great lengths, Draco. Your disappearance last night proved one thing - we have no right to hold you down any longer. I dare say, if someone had kept me from your mother, I may have gone insane."
"I love her," Draco finds himself saying, "and I'm going to marry her, father. No one else."
Lucius is quiet for a long moment, before cracking a slight smile.
"You seem to have found yourself," he says as he walks towards the door, and his small smile disappears from his face, "perhaps we were too blind to notice the young man before us."
Banners, flags and all manner of decorations were adorning Hogwarts the morning of the graduation ceremony. Families from all over the county had congregated to join in with the celebrations, and the grounds were practically teeming with people.
Draco had owled to request you meet him before the ceremony began, to tell you about his meeting with Lucius. It was safe to say you were surprised to hear a more positive story, since he'd ran away and left his parents and the Greengrass's in the lurch. But Draco had reassured you that his father is a serious man - he wouldn't have said those things if he didn't mean them, and especially if his mother disagreed. "I haven't seen her but," he began, looking dashing in his robes of emerald green, "something tells me father spoke for the both of them."
Outside in the courtyard, students were to be seated in their houses, with families and friends seated behind. Important individuals within the wizarding community as well as representatives from the Ministry were also present. The Daily Prophet had photographers and journalists out, capturing the eventual graduation of the returning seventh years. As the moment approached, students began walking in their respective houses to their seats, you amongst the Ravenclaws clad in striking blue robes. From the corner of your eye, you spot the emerald green of the Slytherins walking in the same direction across the entrance hall, one particular student catching your eye as she elegantly drifted across the space, brown hair cascading down her back and heels clicking along the tiled floor.
As if carried by your feet before you could think, you made a beeline across the space.
"Astoria," you call out, and the girl stops at the sound of her name, head snapping in the direction of your voice, "can I speak to you a moment?"
"Y/N," she blinks, "can I... help you?"
For a moment you weren't sure what to say. Do you thank her for letting Draco follow his heart? Do you apologise that her marriage didn't go to plan, and that she has faced just as much heartache as you in all of this? Or do you simply wish her well? Many things flitted through your mind in that moment, but one thing was abundantly clear. Despite everything that had transpired, there didn't seem to be even a glint of disdain in her eyes.
"Well, I just-"
"If it's about Draco, you should know he made his own decision," she cuts you off, smiling at the small crowd of Slytherins entering the courtyard, Draco surely among them, "I simply realised I was an accomplice in his misery. The rest was his own heart telling him what to do."
"From my understanding, you were pivotal in Draco finding his strength," you said kindly, Astoria's pretty eyes looking at you as if she was sure Draco wouldn't ever mention her name again, "and for that, I'm forever thankful, Astoria. As well as deeply sorry for the mess I caused."
She shakes her head with a smile on her face. A light chuckle escaped her lips.
"Love isn't a crime, Y/N," she says softly, "for too long, I've lived in my parent’s shadow, following their ideals and wishes. If anything, Draco, and you, have taught me a lot about thinking with your own mind. It's true I would've married happily," she pauses briefly, "but it's a long time to be miserable, don't you think? Draco deserves better than that."
You go to speak, but nothing comes out. Words fail you in this moment, and Astoria takes your hand as the band outside begin to play the entrance music for the graduating students.
"There is no need for more words," she said, and you hold her hand back tightly, "all I ask is that you take care of him. Merlin knows he needs it. Now, what do you say we walk out together, hm? As a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin, for the last time."
Arm in arm, you emerge from the large doors and into the courtyard, following the groups of other students. The two of you split ways once arriving at your designated spots, and part with a smile. You find your place beside Luna, and settle in, a buzz of excitement and fresh, new beginnings in the air. Headmistress McGonagall rises to the lectern, as students, staff and guests all stand. A round of applause is made, and the ever elegant professor quieted the crowd with a gentle wave of a hand, urging everyone back into their seats.
"Thank you," she begins, her voice magically amplified, "It is my greatest pleasure, as Headmistress of our school, to see such wonderfully gifted pupils embark on their next chapter, not only as high achieving students, but as young men and women." She scans the crowd, and with a wipe of her handkerchief under both eyes, continues, "and most of all, it is an honour to send off those returning seventh years whose final year at Hogwarts was tainted by sorrow and loss, into greener and brighter pastures, as free witches and wizards. The world is indeed your oyster, and I expect great things from each and every one of you."
Professor Flitwick hurries along the stage, wand levitating a large pile of scrolls, each tied with a coloured ribbon of the students respective house, closely followed by Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt.
"Now," McGonagall announces, "as we call your name, house by house, please rise to collect your graduation certificate, prestigiously presented by our good Minister, Mr Shacklebolt."
Students from each house proudly took the stage and their graduation certificates, shaking hands with the Minister and posing for a photograph. Gryffindor first, then Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and eventually, Ravenclaw. As your name is called, with slight jelly legs and a nervous but exciting feeling in your stomach, you walk the aisle to the stage, passing the other houses. Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt hands a scroll to you, blue ribbon tied in the centre in a neat and perfect bow, and then shakes your hand in a firm but gentle way.
"Congratulations," he says quietly to you, as the camera takes a photograph your parents are no doubt planning on placing above the fireplace. You take the chance to look out over your fellow students and families, noticing your mother waving at you from the back rows. A small wave back and she's taking her own photos, and even from the stage you could see your father urging her to sit down so the others behind could see. Then, your eyes fall on the rows of emerald green, to a kind face, with white hair shining in the sun, and a smile that makes your knees a little weak.
He winks, and you can't help but feel flustered in front of the hundreds of faces looking up at you blushing like a schoolgirl.
"Thank you," you mutter to the Minister, and share a smile with the Headmistress as you head back to your seat. After a few words from Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt about courage, strength and the 'formidable force that is the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry', one final round of applause, and the chance to mingle begins. Your parents, mother crying and father trying to hide his emotion, are the first to find you. They chat with your professors, even the Minister, and mingle with other parents they know. Students you've known say their goodbyes and well wishes, as a little tap on your shoulder gains your attention.
"So, we've done it." Hermione says, clearly overtaken with emotion, "We've actually done it."
The two of you embrace, squealing with happiness. You hug one another tightly, evoking some tears in the process. It's been a long journey, but you've made it. From the war to your own trials and tribulations, you were both still standing. Together.
"I couldn't have made it through this year without you, 'Mione," you mumble through your tears, and you hear her giggle through hers, "I love you so much. Thank you. For everything."
She pulls back, resting her hands on your shoulders as she looks at you with adoration.
"You must stay in touch," she chokes up mid sentence, "promise me? Don't be stranger, for Merlin's sake. Tell Malfoy the same." You nod vigorously, "I love you too," she says sincerely, and then her eyes are fixed on someone behind you, "speak of the devil."
You turn on your heel to see Draco, handsome as ever in the green that so belongs on him, sheepishly waiting for you to notice his presence. Turning back to Hermione, she insists you go to him, and with one last hug, you cross the space between you. His smile grows wider the closer you get, and as soon as you're in touching distance, he takes your hand and presses a delicate kiss to your knuckles.
"You know," he begins, voice like silk, "blue really is your colour, my love."
A delightful chuckle escapes your lips, and within the next second, his other hand is cupping your jaw and bringing you in for a passionate kiss. He doesn't seem to care that hundreds of students and families surround you, including his own. All he cares about is this moment, and this declaration of his love for you. As you part, he remains close, kissing the corner of your mouth.
"I love you, darling," he whispers to you, only for you to hear, and wipes a stray tear from your cheek.
"I love you, Draco." Your voice is barely audible, but he catches it, and a toothy grin spreads across his face.
"Well then?" he then extends his arm to you, "it's time for the boats, my lady.”
With your arm laced in his, family and friends watching from the courtyard archways, the seventh years descend the stairs to the boat house for the last time, reminiscing about the first time they wandered up those same stairs to the sorting ceremony. Not many words are exchanged between you; emotions are high and his touch is enough, but as you collect on the docks of the boat house, Hermione comes to stand beside you. You take her hand, and the three of you look up towards the castle that's been your second home for eight years now.
"Shall we?" you look between them both, and you share a silent agreement, stepping onto the boat together, symbolising the start of a new beginning, and the end of an era. As the boat is pushed from the shore, your hands are still intertwined, and your arm is still tightly around Draco's arm. If you had pictured your last trip across the Black Lake like this, you would've thought some very strange twist of fate was at play; in fact, it must be. Taking one last look back at the castle that becomes smaller and smaller the further away you get, you think how you've found many things during your time as a Ravenclaw. Friendships, courage, knowledge, and even love. Isn't it funny, you think to yourself. How life plays out, how the universe works.
How true happiness can be found…
In the strangest of places.
