The Crescent Nebula, C27 // Sharky

This nebula is the site of star formation, but rather the future site of a star's death. At the heart of the nebula is the Wolf-Rayet star WR 136 which is expelling the outer layers of its atmosphere in huge stellar winds. This is colliding with the material it ejected several hundreds of thousands of years ago when it was a red giant star. The result is two colliding shock waves in space, ionizing the gas in the process, and resulting in the nebula we see today!

Narrator and Curator can!! Narrator gets very embarassed because of it and Curator would probably destroy you if you ever made her purr.. (Mariella gets a free pass though because she likes Mariella)

You can get Narrator to purr by rubbing the inside of his stomach or really showing him any kind of affection at all. Stanley does this constantly and he will often scold Stanley for it, claiming that it's "unprofessional" and "stupid".

The Crescent Nebula, C27 // Rabeea Alkuwari

Located about 5,000 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus, the Swan, the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) has been featured here many times before! It was discovered by William Herschel (1738-1822) in 1792. This nebula has never looked like a crescent to me, rather looking more like a brain than anything else. Although some folks do see a Euro sign (€) which I can somewhat see.
