Saw someone on twitter draw their interpretation of the Brozone brothers’ parents so I tried my hand at it; meet Ivy Lovegrass and Billie Byrd Limelight :) Billie Byrd is a rock troll(first name(s) from the folk rock band The Byrds and Micheal Jackson song Billie Jean). Ivy is a pop troll. I’ll talk about em more in another post, just know they love their boys so so so SO much! And also have that ref sheet I made lol yeah it really did get out of hand…. This is a pillow that was sewn by one of my relatives in, guess when, 1921. Along with it being beautiful and having a delightfully bloblike cat on it, I wanted to share it because it has a strong LM Montgomery vibe. I could imagine Valancy whiling away a winter's night working on this, or Anne taking it with her to Redmond, Jane rescuing it from the depths of a closet, or Emily wandering through the Disappointed House looking for the right place for it.

You may notice I've edited it somewhat; I removed my relative's initials, which are stitched under that top arch shape. In person, the colors aren't quite so distinct -- it's very velvety and shimmery, but brightened up by all the stitching. And of course the regal cat.

Unfortunately, Tumblr polls only allow me to fit 10 contestants! The 10 contestants were chosen based on how low the difference was between them & their winning opponent. Those 5 were the least close in their respective poll, so they are unlikely to really make a difference if they returned in the poll….that's how I see it anyways!

Also for clarity: The numbers ARE NOT a ranking. They're numbered to help with images. Idk it would help me so maybe it'll help someone out there XD The contestants are all ordered in alphabetical order to eliminate as much bias as possible!!! Good luck!

Proud of myself. Actually managed to get work done for a cosplay tonight. It wasn’t much, but for me any progress is progress.

Originally I put this in the tag but I feel I should keep them out and expand on it:

Lately I’ve realized I have trouble starting things. In this case it’s an arm sock I need to make for a cosplay. I’d done the first finger and a half already, and it’s been sitting unfinished on my computer desk for a couple weeks. The needle has been threaded, the fabric pinned where I needed to sew. It’s just been sitting here. I’ve even picked it up to start a few times but I never actually could put needle through fabric.

And it’s not just that, it’s other things like, I want to write again, or I want to draw again. It’s even hard for me to start up a video game to play, and I just can’t fully grok why that is.

I feel like it’s probably a neurodivergent thing, but I just want it to stop so I can actually do things again.

As someone who just recently started teaching Itself how to draw: not only does this mean the world to me, but i am seconding this from just over the other side of this. You can and will improve! You are allowed to trace reference photos for as long as you need the help learning (there's a bit more nuance to it than that but for the most part unless the owner of the photo says not to and/or as long as you're not making money off of it, it should be fine) and you should be proud of whatever you create, even if you think it looks like shit!

Anyone can learn to create art with the right tools and enough time and patience.

Sunday lunch at Salton's was as chaotic as ever. Alton did nothing to stop Mrs Socks eating the roast (probably her revenge for being disturbed by too many Finch's in once place) whilst Sid n' Oscar argued over the fact that he started working on her laptop straight after dinner.. the man's got deadlines, woman! Aspen lost her shit for some unknown reason.. she probably just wanted to leave cos the vibes were rank 😅💀
