Saw someone on twitter draw their interpretation of the Brozone brothers’ parents so I tried my hand at it; meet Ivy Lovegrass and Billie Byrd Limelight :) Billie Byrd is a rock troll(first name(s) from the folk rock band The Byrds and Micheal Jackson song Billie Jean). Ivy is a pop troll. I’ll talk about em more in another post, just know they love their boys so so so SO much! And also have that ref sheet I made lol yeah it really did get out of hand…. This is a pillow that was sewn by one of my relatives in, guess when, 1921. Along with it being beautiful and having a delightfully bloblike cat on it, I wanted to share it because it has a strong LM Montgomery vibe. I could imagine Valancy whiling away a winter's night working on this, or Anne taking it with her to Redmond, Jane rescuing it from the depths of a closet, or Emily wandering through the Disappointed House looking for the right place for it.

You may notice I've edited it somewhat; I removed my relative's initials, which are stitched under that top arch shape. In person, the colors aren't quite so distinct -- it's very velvety and shimmery, but brightened up by all the stitching. And of course the regal cat.

Unfortunately, Tumblr polls only allow me to fit 10 contestants! The 10 contestants were chosen based on how low the difference was between them & their winning opponent. Those 5 were the least close in their respective poll, so they are unlikely to really make a difference if they returned in the poll….that's how I see it anyways!

Also for clarity: The numbers ARE NOT a ranking. They're numbered to help with images. Idk it would help me so maybe it'll help someone out there XD The contestants are all ordered in alphabetical order to eliminate as much bias as possible!!! Good luck!

As someone who just recently started teaching Itself how to draw: not only does this mean the world to me, but i am seconding this from just over the other side of this. You can and will improve! You are allowed to trace reference photos for as long as you need the help learning (there's a bit more nuance to it than that but for the most part unless the owner of the photo says not to and/or as long as you're not making money off of it, it should be fine) and you should be proud of whatever you create, even if you think it looks like shit!

Anyone can learn to create art with the right tools and enough time and patience.

The moment his hand rested atop her free one, she found her brows darting back up towards Orion, her lips parting ever so slightly as she waited her turn to speak. However, it took her much longer than expected, stunned almost by what she had heard. Had he undergone something similar to what she had?

"I... I couldn't have said it better myself honestly...." She started, her gaze dropping to the table now, the feeling of his hand atop hers already something she had grown accustomed to. "Sometimes, one needs to just get away."

She uttered in response, her voice fading ever so slightly with each word, before she found herself looking back at Orion who was now chuckling and pulling away and freeing the brunette of his grasp. Leaving her to gaze back down at the hand he hand been holding for so long, before flushing ever so slightly and finally... Returning the smile he gave her. "Its more than okay, Orion.... Honestly."

A pensive look crossing over her facial features, Becca sucked her lower lip between her teeth slightly as once again her cheeks threatened to dust up. Reaching for her glass, and placing it to her lips once again she then dared another small glance at him. "I'll-- I'll try to remember that..." She stammered out slightly, before downing the rest of her drink and placing the empty glass on the table.

Once again her browns saddened, as she gently turned the glass she once held to her lips around, watching as the light shimmered and sparkled in every little detail possible. "I--I think I have it handled for the most part... It's almost a distant memory at this point... I just have to make it the rest of the way... You know?"
