evan is naturally a dark brunette and bleaches his hair blond (like his sister) and barty is naturally a blond and dyes his hair dark (like his mother)

Barty would ask Evan to reshave his head high at 3am without fail. It’s always a botched job but it’s just part of the vibe at this point.

i keep thinking ab how ev and barty would never go get their haircut professionally. how one day ev looks at barty, threads his fingers through the hair at the base of his skull, tugs on it. murmurs about how long its getting.

so barty grabs a joint and they climb out onto their fire escape with their kitchen scissors and their clippers— the chord threaded through the window. they smoke while they take turns cutting each others hair. one of the times, evan cuts a little too much and its really not salvageable, so he has to give barty a buzzcut. its okay though cause evan thinks its hot and wont stop running his fingers over it.
