my laptop started glitching out during the newest game changer but i assumed it was just part of it so i just let it happen and then it crashed. so sam reich’s mind games are starting to affect me, the viewer, as well.

The video starts focused on Piper Mclean, the creator of the tiktok, beaming in front of the camera. She stands behind a counter with a blue plastic bowl on top. 

“I’m Piper, and my dad was held hostage, and his kidnappers tried to blackmail me, so I brought the m&ms!” She exclaims cheerfully as she pours the bag of m&ms into the bowl. 

The video cuts, instead of Piper behind the counter, it’s a boy with messy black hair. He shoots the camera a grin, before holding up a bag of Reese’s Pieces. “Hey, I’m Percy, and when I was twelve, I accidently blew up the gateway arch…” a sigh is heard from behind the camera. “That’s not an original experience” a girl calls off screen. 

Percy rolls his eyes fondly at the comment. “And was a nation-wide manhunt for me because my step-dad convinced the world I was a terrorist” he adds with a smirk. “Oh, and I brought Reece’s Pieces” he says, pouring the candy into the bowl. 

The video skips to a girl with curly blonde hair. “My name is Annabeth” she says - her voice recognizable as the girl off screen earlier. “And when I was seven years old, I ran away from home and lived on the streets with two other kids until one of them was murdered in front of me” she smiles.

A few exclaimations are heard from behind the camera, along with a few chuckles. “I brought starbursts” she says as she empties the bag. 

“Hi I’m Leo!” A curly-haired boy grins mischeiviously as the video cuts again. “My mother died in a warehouse fire, but my entire family blamed me for her death, so I was put in foster care. I brought skittles” he says excitedly, his grin completely at odds with his words as he adds the skittles to the bowl. 

“Fucking dirt face” someone mumbles behind the camera. 

The shot changes again, now showing a boy with blonde hair and glasses. “My name is Jason, and I was abandoned in the woods and raised by wolves.” he states matter of factly. “I brought some Swedish fish” he says as he pours them in.

Once again the video shifts. “I’m Frank” the boy behind the counter says. “When my mom died at war, my grandmother kicked me out of the house and told me to go to California. After I came back to ask her about our family history, the house burned down and she vanished” he states. 

“Hey, I remember that” Percy’s voice is overheard from off-screen. “I brought some gummy bears” Frank says. As he begins to pour them in, the camera is stolen, Leo’s face taking up the entire screen. “And he’s lactose intolerant!” Leo exclaims dramatically. 

The video jumps to the next clip, a short black girl behind the counter. “When I was thirteen I died. I’m putting in life savers” she says with the sweetest smile as she adds the candy, the video ending there.

“Hi everyone, the last one of these blew up so we’re making a part two” Piper smiles at the camera. “When I was sixteen my…” she struggles to find a word. “Situationship!” Leo yells from offscreen, followed by a series of laughs. 

“Sure, situationship” Piper laughs, shaking her head. “Anyway, he nearly died, and I had to literally talk him back to life. I brought the Sour Patch Kids” she adds, pouring them into a bowl. 

“Ok, my turn” Leo says, the video cutting to reveal him standing in Piper’s place behind the camera. “I’m Uncle Leo, Bad Boy Supreme-” he’s cut off by a chorus of shouts off screen. “And I sacrificed myself in a giant explosion to kill my great-great grandma” he continues. “I brought the Hot Tamales” Leo says as he adds the candy. 

Another cut in the video, and Annabeth and Percy stand behind the counter. “I’m Annabeth”, “And I’m Percy”, they both say. “And when we were thirteen, the guy who was basically my older brother tried to kill Percy” Annabeth says. “And then on my sixteenth birthday, I handed him the knife he used to kill himself” Percy grins. “We brought nerds and gummy sharks” Annabeth says, both of them pouring the candy into the bowl. 

The video cuts once again. “I’m Jason, and I was a child soldier and everyone treated me like I was royalty and a great leader because of my dad - who I’d never even met at that point - even though I was eight” he says. “I brought Jolly Ranchers” Jason says as they get added to the bowl. 

Once again, the shot changes, now with Frank standing in frame. “I’m Frank and I nearly died when I was a baby because of a stick of firewood” he states. “And I brought Coffee Crisp” he says. “He’s also Canadian” Percy calls, shoving his face in frame. 

A pale boy with dark hair stands in front of the camera, not recognizable from the previous video. “I’m Nico” he says. “My trauma is that I was forced to be in this video” he states, getting boo’s from the others out of frame. 

“Fine” he says rolling his eyes. “When I was ten I had a crush on the guy who I blamed for my sister’s death, and then years later I was forcibly outed. I brought Twizzler’s” he says, pouring the candy in the bowl. 

The video cuts once again. “I’m Hazel” she says. “When I was a kid I was cursed and everyone called me a witch. I brought Haribos” Hazel says, pouring them into the bowl. 

The video ends with a shot of the candy bowl. “You know, maybe I should make this video private” someone faintly says as the video cuts off.
