it's so wild to me that you absolutely cannot force a hyperfixation to happen. like you'll watch the most perfectly tailor-made-for-you content that everyone says you'll love and feel absolutely nothing, and then the thing you watch on a whim to fill time will reach through the screen and put its damn fingers in your brain and start rearranging the neurons right in front of you and every single time you're like THIS??? THIS??????? and this happens like every 6-12 months forever

Reminiscing elementary days and remembering when a teacher told me to pick up my trash beside me, and I replied that it wasn't mine, and then she got mad at me for talking back. And I was like ??? I can pick it up if you want me to, I'm just saying it's not mine. And then she told my mom about it. That was crazy ma'am why were you beefing with me I was 10
#my mom is an elementary school teacher and she was MY teacher also#which is prohibited but there wasn't much choice at the time#but also i'm pretty sure she specifically sent me to school a year earlier just so i could be in her class sooooooo#anyway being bullied by your teacher at school AND at home is not very fun thanks mom#even tho i was getting straight a's and it wasn't nepotism because she would go harder at me than at any other kid in class#she just hated it when i “embarassed” her so i spent like a third of the time in elementary standing in the corner as a punishment
