Why we need Photography.
Photography is an excellent hobby because not only can it be a lot of fun, but it is also available for any age group. In photography, you can always grab a phone and take a picture, even if it would be better on a DSLR. You can collect memories at any moment. If you are looking to buy a camera you should definitely check out the Canon EOS REBEL T7 DSLR on Amazon. It comes with 2 Lenses, the EF18-55mm + EF 75-300mm and it’s great for beginners.
Your skill level doesn’t matter in the long run. In photography you are always learning a new skill, a different technique, or different editing softwares. One day you may learn about lighting. The next day you may discover the importance of composition in photography. Learning to use your camera is an ongoing process that pretty much never ends. Photography helps you to explore the world around you. It gives you an excuse to get out and explore. You will have a reason to experiment and experience new and fun things in the world around you, with your friends and family.
Photography is an important hobby because it helps you to stay in the present, but also to relearn the past and protect the future. It helps you to find inspiration in even the smallest things. When I got my first camera I couldn’t stop taking pictures of even the weirdest things. I wanted to share my perspective with others.
You don’t always have to go far away to landmarks or new places to take beautiful photos. You can do it at home by capturing meaningful moments with the people you love. Photography is a great way to document your life and memories. It allows you to tell stories about your life for many years to come. Take a look at the global scale. You can see that we wouldn’t be able to truly document important events in history without photos.
Think for a moment about some of the most compelling pictures you have seen. Those photos that are so much more than simple images on paper. The photos that represent the world, humanity at its best, or worst. The ones that show us what we have done as humans over the course of time. Photos can show how far we have come, but also the horrors we have created before, to remind us to never repeat these mistakes. Today, the climate is worse then ever and without help it will continue to be a problem now, and in the future. The impact we as humans have on the environment will always be large, but whether or not it is a bad or good impact is up to us.
Landscape and nature photography help to show the consequences of our actions against nature. Climate change photography creates intense emotional responses. This is a great way to spread information about climate change and our carbon footprint on earth. Photography is an important part of most sciences as well. Astrologists take photos of the cosmos to document changes and to show what we need to do to improve our home. Microscopes take photos of small organisms to show what not only us but also our world is made of. Photography is a tool to show relevant facts to other scientists. For every mystery of the world photography can help document and improve our lives.
Photos will eventually become out history. There are many images in many genres of life. Some helped us understand who we are, and some give us a glimpse of our world and places we can’t go to ourselves. Photos show us events that we weren’t around to see. These images shape our history and will help to shape our future. Using them, we can form different opinions and see the impact of the past so that we never repeat heinous crimes.
Photos don't just tell us about the past, but they also help to change the future for the better. In this era, with the Internet and social media you can use photography to reach more people. If you are a business owner you can use photos to reach a larger audience. After all a photo is worth at least a thousand words.
You can use photography as a creative outlet. Like painting, you can create a new concept and make it happen with models, editing, and lighting. Photography means to paint with light. You can use software to edit your photos in a way that you love! You can play with different lighting and colors or you can change the contrast or even the image itself.
Images are important in every aspect of life. You can create so many different messages using your photos. For example everyone knows this image and the story behind it:
This photo was taken by Dorothea Lange in an effort to document the Great Depression. The feelings this image brings in us are strong, but let me give you a slightly less famous example.
Do you recognize this photo? You should. On June 8th, 1972 in a Vietnamese village called Trang Bang a group of military men mistook the village for their enemy and they dropped a Napalm "bomb" on the villagers. They hit many people who got hurt, however Associated Press photographer Nick Ut was outside the village and captured this heart-breaking photo of scared children desperately running away from the military. The worst part of this image is the little girl who is naked. She had just been hit with the Napalm and took off her clothes in an effort to stop the pain.
Photos are often memories of important times in our lives. Preserving those memories is extremely important, whether for you to one day show your grandkids or so that future generations know to never do the same things we have. These photos allow us to experience certain things over and over again which can lead to changed perspectives. That’s why the importance of photography in our lives only continues to grow. People take new photos everyday. Make sure to always preserve your past in order to protect the future.

The EF 300mm f/4L IS USM is a long-reaching prime and member of Canon's elite L-series of optics. Two ultra-low dispersion elements are used to significantly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve a high degree of clarity, and a Super Spectra coating has also been applied to maintain contrast and color fidelity when working in difficult lighting conditions.

Did you know? The origins of Image Stabilization for 35mm DSLR lenses dates back to the EF 75-300mm 4-5.6IS USM lens released by Canon back in September of 1995. These lenses predated the mainstream adoption of digital technology by a long shot, but pioneered the way for many more to come. In 1995 you could buy an EOS DCS 3, but it was only a 1.3MP camera and would cost you around $20,000, so needless to say many continued to use film at that time.
Because Canon developed the technology prior to mainstream DSLR adoption, putting stabilization in the lens made the most sense. The only other way it could have been done would be to physically move the 35mm film up and down/left to right to counteract vibrations, which would be an engineering nightmare. The system Canon developed works by physically moving elements inside the lens to counteract any vibrations in the camera body.
Utilizing a lens with image stabilization allows you to drop to lower shutter speeds without sacrificing picture clarity, making it a great option for shooting in low light situations. It also benefits telephoto lenses, as vibrations are amplified the more you zoom in, and of course for all of our filmmaking customers, optical image stabilization is great to have when shooting video as well.

What’s in My Camera Bag
Having gone to a photo shoot and noticing that I had no SD card in either of my cameras, I had to go to fisher Hawaii to pick up a new SD card that didn’t even work in my cameras. So I had to return it and drive to Best Buy to pick up an SD card that would work with my camera then return back to the photoshoot spot. This is how I learned that having extra SD cards in my bag are the most important to keep. After having taken 3 years yearbook and 8 years of taking client photos. Here are some of the items I keep in my bag.
- CanonT3i connected to a duel battery pack
- Canon77D
- Battery charger for both cameras
- Extra SD cards ( In purple case)
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.5 lens
- Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 lens
- Canon EF 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens
- Rode VideoMicro on Camera

Canon t7i bokeh video
This is one of the lenses that is best to use outdoors with ample amounts of light. It is also very affordable, due to the lack of built-in image stabilization. The focal length is equivalent to 120-480mm on a Canon APS-C sensor, which all EOS Rebel cameras have. Available at:Ĭanon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III: Smaller and lighter weight than the lenses above, which is an advantage if you don't want to carry a heavy camera. This would be the one to get to avoid excess size and weight. With 4 stops of image stabilization it is a product that offers excellent performance at an affordable price. Available at:Ĭanon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS: This is a compact and lightweight lens that still has a large zoom range. There are other lenses that may be more comfortable to spend all day walking around with the Canon EOS Rebel T7. The huge focal length span does come at the cost of it being rather large and heavy. Built with 17 elements in 13 groups, with Four FLD and 1 SLD elements, means the lens is able to capture sharp crisp, high-quality images, without the need to worry about chromatic aberrations. The 16.6x zoom ratio means everything from wide angle to telephoto is covered. Sigma 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS: This is like having several zoom lenses combined into one. It is also one of the best choices for a single camera lens to take with you while traveling. Available at:Ĭanon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM: This lens has an equivalent zoom range of 24-136mm in 35mm format, making it a great choice to leave on your camera for everyday photography. Depending on if you want to buy a new or used copy the price range can be lower than lenses made by Canon.īased on glowing customer reviews, people love this lens, it could end up permanently mounted to your Rebel T7. It is an excellent match for the Canon Rebel T7 as the size and weight is similar to other Canon EF-S zoom lenses. With the fast aperture and good zoom range, the lens is suitable for everything from portraits to landscapes. Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM FLD: With built-in optical image stabilization sharp images can be captured at up to 4 stops lower than compared to lenses without stabilization. If you had to narrow down all the Canon lenses available to only one to use on your camera, this would be one of the best zoom lenses to choose. The built-in image stabilization helps to counteract camera shake and improves photo sharpness. The large maximum aperture is constant through the full zoom range allowing for a shallow depth of field and beautiful background blur. It is a major step up from the standard zoom lens included with the EOS Rebel T7. Best Lens for Macro: Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USMĬanon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM: The quality of this lens is in line with Canon's full-frame L-series, but designed for APS-C sensor cameras that use the EF-S mount.Best Lens for Landscapes: Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM.Best Lens for Sports & Wildlife: Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2.Best Lens for Portraits: Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM.Best Lens for Video: Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM.Best Prime Lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM.Best Telephoto Zoom: Sigma 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS.Best All-Around Zoom: Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM.Here is the list of the best Canon Rebel T7 lenses: Keep in mind that the recommended lenses will also work well with other Canon Rebel cameras, which means if you ever decide to upgrade your camera you can still use your lenses. The advantage of EF-S lenses is that they are smaller and lighter than full frame lenses. A EF-S lens is designed to be used on Canon cameras with APS-C sized sensors. Full frame Canon lenses can be used or Canon EF-S lenses. The Canon Rebel T7 uses the Canon EOS lens mount. In addition to the recommended lenses, each section will have other options for higher or lower price ranges. A wide variety of focal-length lenses for different types of photography are covered. Here are the best lenses for the Canon EOS Rebel T7.
