Through The Tudors, I've developed an unexpected liking and appreciation for Thomas More that I did not have before.
It's even funnier when I tell you just how much my mother hated More. Like, she despised him 😅
#I also really liked Wolsey#But I already liked Wolsey beforehand#Also also Thomas Cranmer#You guys need to understand how much my mother hated More#It was funny#She thought he was too fanatical#And like yeah he was but that's how people were in the 16th century#Devotion was expected#I liked More unexpectedly#But then again I also love Catherine of Aragon#I remember the history lesson I had in year 7 on Henry and his wives#The one that got me into tudor history in the first place#And we had to read these passages like the ones you read about historical figures from the historical figure's point of view#Like first person or whatever#And I was picked to read Catherine's#I love Catherine and I love Mary#I watched some clips of the the tudors on YouTube ages ago just to see the tudor kids so I already knew some things#And when I tell you I screamed with joy when Sarah Bolger first appeared on screen while watching with my mum#I love Mary#the tudors#Yeah this strayed from my main point lol

The revolving door of Red Bull drivers within the past decade has always been a topic of discussion.
Webber retires and Ricciardo's in. Vettel leaves for Ferrari and in comes Kyvat. Oops, no Kyvat out, and Verstappen takes his place. Ricciardo leaves and Gasly is promoted to the main team. But Gasly isn't it, and in comes Albon. Nevermind, Albon out and Perez is the man. Or is he?
It's a neverending cycle of one driver in and another replacing him only for rumors about replacements to swirl.
Hundreds of years earlier, similar patterns existed with Henry VIII and his six wives.
This brings forth the question: which wife's narrative suits the most for some of the former and current Red Bull drivers.
Based on the song Ex-Wives from Six: The Musical.
________________________________________________
My name's Catherine Of Aragon
Was married 24 years, I'm a paragon
Of royalty, my loyalty is to the Vatican
So if you try to dump me
You won't try that again
The initial thought for Catherine of Aragon, based solely on being the first wife would be Sebastian Vettel. He's the first Red Bull junior to make it to the main team, take the first win for both Toro Rosso and Red Bull, and win the first championship with the team.
However, Catherine of Aragon is Max Verstappen. Lyrically and based on the narrative, Max Verstappen is most like Catherine.
Paragon of royalty:
This could be translated into a racing lineage. Both of Max's parents were in motorsport. Jos is a former Formula 1 driver, though undeniably nowhere as good as his son. Sophie is a karting and race car driver who competed against Jenson Button, Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli, and Nick Heidfeld. Christian Horner in a recent interview on Dax Shepard's podcast eff won with DRS said that he used to kart against Sophie and she beat him.
My loyalty is to the Vatican:
In this situation, the Vatican would be Red Bull. Max's current contract ends in 2028 and he has mentioned many times that he could possibly retire when that contract ends. Max has never talked about a desire to race for another team.
Also, Max is rarely spotted not wearing the team kit. The man is dedicated to the team.
I'm that Boleyn girl
And I'm up next
See, I broke England from the Church
Yeah, I'm that sexy
Why did I lose my head?
Well, my sleeves may be green
But my lipstick's red!
Anne Boleyn is undeniably Sebastian Vettel.
Lyrically and based on the colors mentioned in the song, Sebastian has the makings of the Boleyn girl.
See, I broke England from the Church:
Breaking England from the Church for Sebastian is ending the Red Bull/Sebastian Vettel partnership that had won the team four drivers' championships and four constructors' championships.
Red Bull back then was Sebastian Vettel, they were one and the same. Sebastian got them their first everything and it seemed like a solid partnership until Sebastian signed with Ferrari. Thus, breaking England from the Church, or in this case leaving the team he won with.
Why did I lose my head?:
This is 2020.
Nothing is going right, Sebastian's dropped by Ferrari for Carlos Sainz Jr. Commentators are talking about how he isn't the same Sebastian Vettel and he doesn't have that same level of skill as before, especially in comparison to his younger teammate, Charles Leclerc.
Well, my sleeves may be green but my lipstick's red:
Sebastian retired in Aston Martin green, but he's not going to be remembered as the Aston Martin driver, he'll always be a core piece of Red Bull's history in Formula One.
Another way that this can be interpreted is Christian Horner telling Sebastian that he could always take a year off and come back home (Red Bull) if he wanted after Sebastian was dropped by Ferrari.
Jane Seymour, the only one he truly loved
Rude
When my son was newly born, I died
But I'm not what I seem
Or am I?
Stick around, and you'll suddenly see more
Now, Jane was a difficult one because she could be connected to three different drivers (Sebastian, Daniel, and Checo) at different points in their respective careers. But, in my opinion, based on how the 2023 season has played out, Checo is most like Jane Seymour.
the one he truly loved (rude):
While Checo is probably not the most loved of the drivers for Christian (see: Max, Sebastian, Daniel), the lyric does fit him when put into comparison with Pierre and Alex. Of Checo, Pierre, and Alex, he is the one that was truly loved.
Checo, when not performing to the level that Red Bull wants, has gotten a lot more support than Pierre and Alex. He's also lasted much longer than the other two.
When my son was newly born, I died:
This is Checo's championship aspirations earlier this year.
Just when it looked like Checo could be a legitimate challenger for Max in the drivers' championship, he had a fall in form. After two race wins and only a few points separating them, there was hope that maybe, just maybe Checo could beat Max. But following Miami, Max went on to have a record-breaking amount of consecutive wins. Thus, killing the newly born championship dreams for 2023.
Ich bin Anna of Cleves
Ja
When he saw my portrait he was like
Ja!
But I didn't look as good as I did in my pic
Funny how we all discuss that, but never Henry's little
One thing Anna of Cleves and Pierre Gasly had in common was that they both only had a short union with Henry VIII and Red Bull. However, after the breakup, they continued to be tied to their ex.
Anna of Cleves stayed in England and was a present figure in Henry VIII's life after their divorce, sometimes called his sister. Pierre Gasly was demoted to the junior team, AlphaTauri, and stayed there for a few years.
When he saw my portrait he was like, Ja!:
When Daniel left Red Bull, they needed to bring someone in to replace him, and out of the two drivers on the junior team, they picked Pierre. They saw his portrait (his record with the junior team) and thought it good enough to be promoted.
But I didn't look as good as I did in my pic:
Pierre's time with Red Bull is short-lived, just like Anna of Cleves' marriage to Henry VIII. He wasn't performing like Red Bull wanted, therefore, didn't look as good as he did when they signed him. Which led to a premature end and quick replacement just halfway through the 2019 season.
Prick up your ears, I'm the Katherine who lost her head
For my promiscuity outside of wed
Lock up your husbands, lock up your sons
K Howard is here, and the fun's begun
If Pierre is Anna of Cleves, then Alex Albon is Katherine Howard. Much like in the song when Katherine Howard begins singing halfway through Anna of Cleves' verse, Alex Albon began his time with Red Bull halfway through Pierre's contract.
Prick up your ears, I'm the Katherine who lost her head:
Alex's version of losing his head is not getting a contract for 2021 and becoming a test driver for the team. He spent the year without a race seat and it could have been a forever thing.
Katherine was young and married early, Alex was promoted before his time in his rookie year. Both of them were punished for something that was beyond their ability.
K Howard is here, and the fun's begun:
This is Alex with Williams, but still going to Red Bull events like Wings for Life and hanging out with drivers in the Red Bull "family." He's having fun, showing off his ability as a driver, and just making them think about offering him a contract when his contract with Williams ends.
Five down, I'm the final wife
I saw him to the end of his life
I'm the survivor, Catherine Parr
I bet you wanna know how I got this far
I said, I bet you wanna know how I got this far
Now, Catherine Parr, most would think is Sergio Perez. It would make sense, he's still with the team and he was a factor in winning the 2021 drivers' championship and has scored points for the 2022 and 2023 constructors' championship wins.
But Catherine Parr fits with Daniel Ricciardo. He is, in the sense of Red Bull, the survivor.
I saw him to the end of his life:
Daniel coming into Red Bull in 2014 saw Red Bull at the end of the team's first block of domination and the end of Sebastian's career with Red Bull.
This was the Red Bull downfall era as Mercedes was emerging as the top team. Daniel was the only Red Bull driver to get wins for the team. Daniel was there at the end.
I'm the survivor:
Daniel, unlike Pierre, Alex, and now Checo, was able to leave Red Bull with his head held high and a highly regarded driver. When he left, there weren't rumors of him losing his seat. It was on his own terms. He is, to this day, the only one of Max's teammates at Red Bull to beat him and challenge him over the course of a season.
Additionally, even after a downfall after the McLaren stint, Daniel's come back to Red Bull and is considered to be in contention for the second Red Bull seat. He is the survivor of the six Red Bull drivers. When his career seemed like it was going to end, he came back. In Mexico, he was in the top 10 in all sessions during the weekend and gave AlphaTauri their highest Grand Prix finishing of the season. In Brazil, despite rear wing damage that led him to be a lap down and spending most of the race behind Yuki, he was the third-fastest driver.

soc characters as six queens
Wylan Van Eck - Anna of Cleves. She got rejected for being too ugly. He got banished because he couldn't read. Do i even need to elaborate? Her song (esp her verse in six) could literally be rewritten to suit Wylan like
What a shame yeah my face, it cost me the crown (his dyslexia costing him the Van Eck fortune) So I moved to the Haus Of Holbein! In my hometown (Ketterdam) His mates were super arty, but I showed them how to party (the crows) Now on my tour of Prussia, everybody GETS DOWN (basically a statement to Van eck and all the people who has ever disrepected him for not being able to read. the equivalent of Haters back off)
Jesper Fahey - Jane Seymour. Jane knows Henry might not love her if it weren't for her son. Jesper knows his father might love him more if he wasn't Grisha, if he didn't have the one thing that took the love of Colm's life away. Jane loving Henry anyways despite. Jesper doing the same with his father. *SOBS*
Matthias Helvar - Catherine of Aragon. OH. GODS LIKE. "you must agree that baby in all the times i've been by your side (Fjerda). "I've never lost control (never questioned), no matter how many times i knew you lied (no matter how many times he saw the faults and barbaric teachings of Fjerdan ideologies). "If you can just explain A single thing I've done to cause you pain, I'll go" *silence* (Fjerda pulling a King Henry and banishing Matthias) . NOooooo. WAY.
Nina Zenik - Anne Boleyn. PURE VIBES. . LIKE I CAN easily imagine nina going "LIKE WAHT WAS I MEANT TO DO?" When Matthias confronted her about Hellgate. Then going "LIKE OMG GUYS HE ACTUALLY WANTS TO CHOP (//choke) MY HEAD OFF" when matthias tried to kill her. Plus, "grew up in the French court" (nina grew up in the Royal Palace), "life was a chore so she set sail" (went to the borders)
Inej Ghafa - Katherine Howard. Kaz and Inej's could easily switch. I mean, although Katherine suits Inej more, with the "all you wanna do" motifs going on, it could also be reinterpreted for Kaz as all they (Pekka) wanted to do was milk him of his money. Either way they get sold/manipulated for something and ended up suffering for it. For Inej it was years of abuse and sa. For Kaz it was loosing his brother and learning how to survive Ketterdam alone.
Kaz Brekker - Catherine Parr. Again, could easily be switched with Inej with the "I'm much more than my trauma, I fought for (in Catherine Parr's case, women's education,..etc)". Inej going on to becoming more than the Menagerie girl she was forced to be (a slaver hunter, the Wraith..etc). Kaz going onto be much more than the scared naive little boy he once was.Although this also could easily go for all the crows, I feel like it suits Kaz and Inej more, since their trauma and backstory is more or less prominent and relates to hers more.

Hi so I have a couple questions on young Henry VIII and Henry VII that I haven't seen addressed in any Henry VII biographies. First do we know why Henry VII didn't marry again to try to have more sons after Arthur and EOY died? Was it just because of his grief over the loss of his wife do you think? Or something else?
Also why didn't Henry VII marry Henry VIII to someone before he himself died? I know they originally got the papal dispensation for Catherine of Aragon to marry young Prince Henry but than the betrothal was broken off after Queen Isabella died. I believe Henry VII began looking into a betrothal with Eleanor of Austria (her niece) and Queen Juana and Philip the Handsome's daughter after that. Do we know why he didn't pursue this further? This seems like it would have been a more ideal match given the similarity in their ages.
Hello! Sorry for taking so long to reply, I haven't had much access to my computer after working hours. The answer to your questions are kind of complex-y. Henry VII did try to marry after Elizabeth of York died, though closer inspection to what evidence we have is that he took at least a year and a half before considering taking another wife (the diplomatic correspondence also seems to coincide with the period when colourful clothes returned to his wardrobe). We don't have access to his thoughts and motivations — we don't know if his council persuaded him to overcome his grief or if he made up his mind himself after overcoming a period of mourning — but the main motivation for remarriage seems to have been diplomatic/trade alliances and economic advantages, far more so than companioship or even having new children.
Henry could have easily have married Ferdinand of Aragon's niece (the dowager queen of Naples) but the advantages she could have brought in terms of dowry and pre-existing dower, trade deals and diplomatic alliances must not have been very high. He seems to have been far more interested in marrying Margaret of Austria, dowager Duchess of Savoy and the Holy Emperor's only daughter. Their marriage would have been part of an incredibly lucrative trade deal with Burgundy (as negotiated with her brother Philip the Handsome before he died) and would have brought Henry closer to her charge, her nephew the future Charles V who was to rule Burgundy AND Spain, and who Henry envisioned for his own daughter Mary.
Another alternative that was of interest to Henry was Juana of Spain who, again, would have brought him closer to her son Charles and who could maybe even bring him the quasi-regency of Spain if Henry was successful enough in divesting her father Ferdinand, who by that time Henry was at odds with (Henry did enquire into Ferdinand's control grip in Spain and whether he was still popular there). Henry pursued Juana's hand at the same time that he pursued Margaret of Austria's so I disagree when historians say he was truly 'in love' with either of these women.
All of this is to say that diplomatic game of chess seems to have been of far more interest to Henry than having other heirs, otherwise he could have easily accepted Ferdinand's niece in 1504 and gotten new children by 1505/6. Having new heirs also seems at odds with his pursuing of Margaret of Austria who had been married twice (technically thrice but the first marriage wasn't consummated) and had not have living issue despite those marriages. Margaret even wrote to her father expressing her fear that her inability to have children would displease a new husband, but surely Henry must have been aware of her record and decided that the other economic and diplomatic advantages of that union would be enough.
This is why I don't agree when historians say Henry VIII got his all-consuming fear of having no heirs from his father when that father seems to have elected having new heirs as a second priority over diplomacy and trade deals (granted, he still had three living children and his son didn't). I'm of the opinion that Henry VII did not want his son to marry Catherine of Aragon because of deteriorating relations with her father Ferdinand (if not because of religious reasons as well). The reason he didn't get to marry his son to some other foreign bride were diplomatic imo — he barely lived long enough to see his daughter's betrothal to the future Charles V, let alone be successful in marrying his heir, the most important chess piece in his diplomatic relations.
Marguerite of Angouleme seems to have been considered for Prince Henry but Henry VII didn't live long enough to drive the necessary wedge between the French king Louis XII and Ferdinand — they had become allies thanks to Ferdinand's marriage to Germaine of Foix. Ferdinand spared no effort to make Louis XII understand he'd see any marriage talk to Prince Henry as an act of disrespect against himself and his daughter Catherine. Eleanor of Austria was also considered as you said, but Henry VII seems to have prioritising securing Eleanor's brother Charles as a son-in-law first (and securing that betrothal took much longer than expected thanks to Ferdinand's interference). He did tell Ferdinand, for example, that he wished to see his daughter Mary married before he died. I think he just didn't have enough time to circumvent all the diplomatic hindrances.
I'm personally of the opinion that marrying Prince Henry to Eleanor would have exhausted an already used avenue. Spain's alliance was secured by Mary's betrothal to the Infant Charles; a new alliance with France, for example, would have been far more advantageous to England's interests, but I can't say that was Henry VII's own view.
I wish I could elaborate further and bring more sources but I haven't had much time to be on this blog, so please forgive me x

Well I can't stop thinking about if Apple's Spirited was actually done on Broadway with Broadway actors so have a fancast
Disclaimer: This is literally just actors I like and know are currently active. There is very little thought put into this beside "ooo I love this voice and think it would fit the role p well." Feel free to dispute and brainstorm further in the reblogs/tags, but like there is genuinely 4% thought put into this, lmao.
Present (Will Farrell) - Jonathan Groff
The heart and soul of the show. Requires strong acting, strong vocals, and a stunning sense of humor. Honestly maybe this is just me being a simp but like I fully think he would have a gotdamn blast dressed up in Scrooge makeup for the 1800s scene and no one can convince me otherwise.
Clint Briggs (Ryan Reynolds) - Jeremy Jordan
This is it, the entire reason I made this fan cast. Just. Imagine Jeremy Jordan singing Bringin' Back Christmas. The same energy as Ready As I'll Ever Be, and also as The World Will Know from Newsies??? Like, that's barely anything, and he's perfect.
Kimberly (Octavia Spencer) - Khaila Anyé Wilcoxon
Yeah okay I did sadly feel like I needed to slightly de-age Kimberly to match the younger form of Present; my original casting was NaTasha Yvette Williams and she would still slay this so hard, but like. Consistency, ya know? And besides, Khaila is STUNNING, fr; her performance as Catherine of Aragon is a testament to her skills alone, but if you want proof of her ability to sing gently as well as to Belt Like All Hell as she does in Six, then I will just direct you kindly to her role as one of the Fates in Hadestown; girl SLAYS! (Alternate pick: Renée Elise Goldsberry, because I can just HEAR her sing these songs.)
Jacob Marley (Patrick Page) - Patrick Page
I mean. Come on. Even if he hadn't played this role already, he originated Hades in Hadestown. No one can top this guy.
Past (Sunita Mani) - Solea Pfeiffer
Hadestown haunts the cast again, but like, come on. She's so good, no one can tell me no.
Yet-to-Come (Tracy Morgan) - Michael James Scott
IDK something about his energy as Genie just translates really well to this role to me. (Alternatively, the Beetlejuice energy of Alex Brightman would give a REALLY fun twist to it, especially if the director decided to lean into YTC as a comic relief character, but the energy is just off enough I wanna stick to the source material for now.)
Wren (Marlow Barkley) - Isabella Esler
Okay to be completely honest am I pretty much just pulling a random Lydia Deets out of a hat since they're like the only consistent kid actresses I can find? Maybe, lmao. That said, having heard her sing, she's GOOD fam! I think she could pull Wren really well!
Owen (Joe Tippett) - Justin Collette
Okay, so once again, he happens to be a Beetlejuice star, but the vibe check here really comes from his role in School of Rock! It's the same sort of offbeat-person-with-a-heart-of-gold vibe as Owen has in the movie, and like with him also playing the Beetlejuice to Isabella's Lydia, I think they'd do great as dad and daughter on stage. Alternatively, Will Burton (who played Adam in the same cast) would also be a great pick, but gives off some more panicky vibes that I don't feel are as great of a match to Owen.
Carrie (Andrea Anders) - Michaela Diamond
If you've seen her video on her favorite song from NYT, you Know the vibes.
Anyway that's my brainrot for the year thank you and enjoy—

Hello! Just wanted to say a few things!
firstly, I really love your works!! and also, I want to ask if you can recommend your favourite books/articles/shows/etc about mythology/history :)
Hii!! ☺️☺️
Thank you so much, anon! I'm very happy to read this. This kind of comment always cheers me up when I'm going through a difficult time. Thank you very much! ❤️
And yes, of course I can! 😊
Mythology books that I really like are: Percy Jackson/The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan, Pegasus and the Flame of Olympus by Kate O'Hearn, the book Greek Myths and Norse Myths.
And of course the Iliad and the Odyssey. Two classics that are totally worth reading, if you haven't read them yet.
Of books, although it is not considered a history book, but rather a period romance, I recommend Julie Quinn's books. Like Bridgertons, which is set during the Regency. Maybe you like it.
When it comes to history books, I don’t have a specific one to recommend. But I would say that it depends on the topic you prefer, whether it's Antiquity or the French Revolution, it really depends.
As for articles, I usually read from a Brazilian site called Aventuras na História, but it's not in English :( but you can automatically translate it on Google, if you're interested :)
These are my favorite series:
Rome: Very good indeed! For those who like the history of Rome and how the Roman Empire was created and a little of the history of Julius Caesar and Augustus, I highly recommend it.
Reign: It's not historically accurate, but it's very good for those who love a royal drama. I remember that when I watched it I was hooked.
The Tudors: very good for those who like the life of Henry VIII and his six wives. There's a lot of drama involved.
The Great: again not historically accurate, but it's very fun! It tells the story of the Empress of Russia, Catherine the Great.
The Spanish Princess and The White Princess: these are very good series that deserve more attention. The Spanish Princess tells the story of Catherine of Aragon and The White Princess tells the story of Elizabeth of York.
Outlander: fits both as a book and a series and I really recommend it. It's not about history per se, but it shows Scotland during that period while a lot of drama and angst surrounds the story!
I watch a lot of historical documentaries that you can easily find on YouTube! :)
I would say these are my favorite series and book recommendations. I hope they please you!

I must rant
Okay, so I was talking to my friend and she said that Jane Seymour song is saddest in six excuse you all you want to do is wait sadder than a heart of Stone literally Catherine was sexually assaulted from ages 3 to 16 no one cared about her genuinely especially if we're going off historical facts Jane did not have a sad life at all she literally died of natural causes womp womp but Catherine was beheaded for something she didn't even do yet it's yet her song only sounds sad because it has a sad Melody to it more minor chords Catherine songs happier cuz it has more major chords but Captain literally starts crying at the end of all you want to do Jane was just yapping about her son and how she died of natural causes literally Henry even said himself James was the only one he ever liked Jane also says it herself she says in x wives I was the only one he ever loved and again going off historical facts that is completely and utterly true so Katherine Howard song is the saddest she went through more hardships than any of the wives she went through more hardships then Catherine of Aragon because Catherine all she did was watch him cheat literally almost all the wives saw that anne was literally a homewrecker that couldn't keep her legs shut and I already told you about Jane Seymour's shit and Anne of cleaves imagine being rejected on your looks could never be me she was literally wrongly painted it even says in her song they make the princesses look more beautiful than they are in the portrait and then we have my queen Catherine Howard she went through so many hardships and can do no wrong and then Catherine Parr surviving going through no hardships womp womp anyways that was my rant

1)What are your thoughts on Alys Rivers?
2)Since you see have watched the Tudors ,what are your overall thoughts about the show?
Anyway ,have a good day!
Hi! Sorry for taking so long!
1. Alys Rivers was made to contradict Aemond and his hate for bastards. I haven't read the books and I do not intend to, I do not know what the book says about her, so I follow what people have said about her only, she is a bastard, she's a witch, and I kind of feel like she will have this change of sides. I'm actually excited to see how her relationship with Aemond will progress, but I also want to know her personality, like she doesn't strike me as a badass witch (but I can be wrong), only this beautiful seer that maybe is kind enough, I mean, why Aemond would order to kill a bunch of people and let her alive? What did she said? How did she act? Aemond is very polite and is very well educated, what does this woman have/did that was different? So I don't believe she have a """""""great (strong, femme fatale) personality""""" otherwise she would clash with him. But this completely based on the voices in my head I feel like we will have a very different Alys Rivers. To support my claim, there is also the fact that he stated that he wouldn't mind marrying Helaena, while Aegon was complaining about it, so Alys could kind of fit in this type, which I don't look forward to, but again, only my speculations.
2. The tudors have a special place in my heart no matter how badly it represented the people of that time. I was in a very great six wives obsession at the time, so along with the show I watched lots of documentaries and read a lot of historical takes and opinions about that time period, so I never let the show and critical part mix. However, I believe they did a good job in representing some key events of the time, like Henry's despair over what he did to Anne, his feelings about Mary and Elizabeth, the change in character he had when he suffered the accident, that also happened in real life, how he must have felt when Jane died and like he got rid of three wives some way and it must have gotten to him.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers is hot, Henry VIII was described as hot when he was younger because he was like athletic, redheaded viking and taller than most men so ambassadors were like 👁👄👁 about him, and he was perfect catholic Prince, he was Aragon and Castella son-in-law, and they captured this glorious beginning and his ups and downs till the end of his life.
Let's not talk about the clothes, even though I love it, I wish it was more accurate.
I really like also how they portrayed his love story with Anne, because we have his surviving letters to her and he would do teenager things like draw their first name initial letters together with arabesques and hearts, he redecorated his palace to have tiles and figures of this drawings, hearts and symbols to represent both of them, he move heaven and earth for her, and it was shown in the show. Though real life Anne was apparently more reluctant at the beginning, and more daring and witty when he couldn't get rid of Catherine. They had a deep love story and after that he wasn't as passionate and not as engaged in his relationship as he was with her, or not as devoted as he was about Jane who gave him his heir.
So overall is a good show, and I watched many times to kill time when I could. If you haven't watched, I believe it's worth it give it a try!

heyheyheyheyhey
uuuuuh
ramble about some weird history fixation of yours
plz <3
Ooooooooo :3 you have said the magic words
I tried answering this from my phone twice and it wiped it. So had to wait on the tablet xD
I've always enjoyed doing research and reading on various bad ass women in history. I find it so fun and fascinating that several different countries can say that they're at their most prolific and successful when they're ruled by a Queen. It's usually the Kings where a lot of the drama is, but even then the Queens are being bad asses behind the scenes.
One area of history I circle back to a lot is Henry VIII and his wives. Mostly his wives, they're honestly the more interesting ones in that trainwreck. Catherine of Aragon was essentially being held hostage after her first husband, Arthur, and Henry's elder brother died suddenly. Arthur is super kind of tragic, to me. A lot of what little records of him remain show a very lonely existence. He didn't really get to be around his family a lot and grew up with a lot of expectations resting on him. He was only 15 when he died. Anyways Henry's father, Henry VII (and don't get me started on the naming thing back then, I do my family's ancestry stuff and it makes me absolutely CRAZY), didn't want to lose a very profitable alliance with what was a united Spain and, if I remember right, also didn't want to return her very expensive dowry. So he just... refused to send her back?? So rude. Anyways, little future Henry VIII spends that time learning the things he didn't get to learn when he was the spare and wooing Catherine. It works. She is successfully wooed.
They're married for 20 years. Two decades. The people LOVE her. She is an A+ Queen according to the people. She's invested in the arts, she's investing creating a culturally diverse court. She sponsors young noble ladies to go learn about the courts, culture, and arts in other ladies countries/courts. Anne Boelin is one these ladies she sponsored. We can get to her another day though. Catherine is emulating her mother, Isabella I of Castille, and her court. Things she learned at her mother's knee growing up. Being from Spain, she was a very devout Catholic as was her daughter, Mary.
Then after many years of being a devoted queen, suffering through the trauma and agony of many miscarriages and children lost young or stillborn, and having to live as a hostage - Henry VIII betrays her by casting away their now formerly shared faith, disavowing their marriage and casting away their daughter, and imprisoning her till she eventually dies. She never gets to go back to Spain, never sees her daughter again, and is forced to die dishonored and alone.
And what's worse, to me, is that Henry VIII loved her, but when it came down to making a choice between his wife and his legacy... he absolutely made the wrong choice and then kept making it. By the time of his death, he'd thrown both away.
I could have kept going but this was getting long and if I started on Anne Boelin, I wouldn't have been able to stop. Henry VIII did Catherine of Aragon dirty, but so did his father and a lot of the people in her life ( I think the only person who was ever on her side was Arthur, her first husband, but he died after like five months... so who knows how long that energy would have lasted.) However, Anne Boelin got done almost worse for how much he loved her versus how he handled the end.
I dunno if this is what you were hoping for but tadaaaa. Thank you for the ask Somer <3

Nayef Aguerd Imagine | two
Author’s note: Another request from Wattpad. It was supposed to be something cute where he helps you during your exams while you are studying, but I think I got a bit distracted 😅 Hope you still like it and thank you for reading! 💜
Masterlist
*Female reader/pov
"Your tea, my lady" Nayef says, putting the big West Ham mug in front of me.
"Aww, thank you" I smile.
"I've also made you a snack. It's just some fruit we had that I cut nicely and arranged like those spreads people do on Instagram, but" he shrugs.
"It's perfect. You are perfect."
"So are you" he says, kissing the top of my nose and sitting on the bed next to my desk. "How is the studying going?"
"I could do with a little break, to be honest. Maybe stretch my legs."
"Then come here" he says, patting the spot next to him.
"I like it here better" I smirk while sitting on his lap and wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Cheeky" he laughs. "What were you studying?"
"The reign of Henry VII."
"Is he related to the one who had many wives?"
"The one who had many wives" I laugh. "But yes, he's the father of Henry VIII."
"Did he also marry... How many wives did he have?" Nayef asks while massaging my low back. I had stopped feeling it after being sat down for so long.
"Six. Divorced, beheaded and died. Divorced, beheaded, survived" I sing. "And no, his father wasn't like that."
"Who is your favourite?"
"Uh?"
"From the six wives" he says, his hand now under my shirt, moving up and down my back.
"Anne Boleyn."
"What happened to her?"
"Beheaded. Which is how I will probably end today. My neck is killing me" I sigh.
"Are you asking me for a massage?" Nayef smirks.
"You already are at it, so why not keep it going?" I reply with a matching smile.
"You are gonna have to move from my lap, tho."
"Oh, well" I say, moving to sit on the bed. "Better like this?"
"Perfect" he says as he rests his hands on my shoulders and moves his thumbs over my neck, making me gasp. "Does that feel good?"
"Very" I nod.
"Tell me more about Anne Boleyn. Why is she your favourite?"
"She was such a clever woman... And she basically changed the country's history."
"Interesting... Any other favourites?" Nayef asks, now using all his fingers to massage different spots on my neck, the feeling making me feel goosebumps all over my arms.
"Catherine of Aragon, his first wife. She was such a strong woman."
"So are you."
"If I was strong, I wouldn't be feeling like I'm melting under your touch" I chuckle.
"Oh, are you?" he says before kissing my neck, making me feel his smile on my skin.
"You know I am" I whisper, biting my lip to try and control myself as he keeps kissing me.
"Should we do something about it?"
"About what?" I ask while he slowly moves his hands from my shoulders all the way down my arms, caressing my skin.
"About your melting. You can't go back to studying feeling like that, can you?"
"I cannot" I say, his hands now around my waist and under my shirt, one of them dangerously going up.
"You will end up mixing the kings, the wives, the years... And I can't let that happen. You have to nail that exam."
"I do" I say, feeling my body tensing more and more while he keeps teasing me.
"Though your tea is probably getting cold. And I put so much love on making it. Your snack too."
"And I'm very thankful. But Nayef..."
"Yes, my love?" he says, kissing my neck once again, spreading more heat over my body.
"I'm not in the mood for tea or a snack. Or reading about Henry VII and how he made it to the throne."
"What are you in the mood for, then?"
"You" I say, turning around and throwing myself at him, somehow managing to hit the table and knocking the cup of tea as I lay us down on the bed. "Fuck, shit!"
"Are your notes ok? Your laptop? Your phone?" Nayef asks with a concerned look.
"They are, yes" I sigh after checking the table. "But now my snack is all wet."
"Like you?" he smirks.
"Nayef!" I say, punching him in the arm.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" he laughs. "That hurt, you know?"
"You deserve it" I say, sticking out my tongue. "And look at the mess we've made."
"The mess you have made."
"Whatever. I can't go back to studying, so I think you should finish your massage."
"And give it a happy ending?" Nayef asks, arching an eyebrow.
"And give it a happy ending, yes" I say, rolling my eyes but not being able to hide a smile.
"As the lady commands" he grins, grabbing me by the waist and throwing me back on the bed, kissing me while I can't stop giggling like an idiot.

I've bounced the idea around since like 2020 of the micronations putting all their talents/specialties together to make a ragtag theatre troupe. Specifically, I think they'd put on an amazing amateur Six.
Catharine of Aragon: Seborga
Seborga as Catherine just makes sense to me. Aside from the easy Catholic/Vatican motifs, it also works since he was the "first" micronation of the group. He's the oldest and arguably the most rational. They have similar vibes.
Anne Boleyn: Aerica
I headcanon that he's fluent in Quebecois French, so I think he'd like to have a role that nods to it. Plus, his over-the-top personality and eccentricity remind me of Anne. He's bold and fun and creative, yet like her, he's a nervous kid looking for the right thing to do.
Jane Seymour: Hutt River/Molossia/Sealand
I really want to say Hutt River because it would work SO well if he used this as a way to say a final goodbye. He's done his best and stayed with Australia, his boss, etc, but now he's dying. He's leaving Wy behind. It also fits his general vibe, and he'd love a huge, dramatic number.
It would be a really interesting take on Molossia's relationship with America. His official notes say he's independent "for now," and he's made it clear that he loves (it at least respects) America. He wouldn't leave him even if he could. But at the same time, that's basically signing his own death certificate.
Sealand. Dear God, this works so well. Aside from the literal "heart of stone" references to both the fort and his human name, Sealand is loyal and determines to a fault. He's stayed with his bosses and friends, and despite all he says, he canonically does care about England—or, at least he doesn't hate him as fanon can suggest. He just wants to be with people, but that's the very thing that killed Jane. Also, blue motifs lmao.
Anna of Clives: Kugelmugel
My main rationale is that he's German (well, Austrian). Though it also works on a meta level, too. Design-wise, he reminds me a lot of Prussia. Having Kugel sing about just loving himself feels so sweet, both for himself and for his... brother? Cousin? Uncle?
Katherine Howard: Hutt River/Sealand
I really want to say Sealand. The song intentionally uses more "kiddy" language, and having someone physically younger would highlight that in a terrible poetic way. Plus, Sealand's tried over and over to get someone to love and care (or literally buy) for him. It's like his whole thing. The irony of seeing him finally give up as Katherine has such literary potential.
Hutt River would also be great. His personality fits very well, and again, him "giving up" can work on the micronation level as well since he was dissolved.
Catherine Parr: Wy
I can't think of anyone better. It feel like the obvious choice.

I saw your post about Sirius being Anne Boleyn.
So, you know those reaction video? Can you write about Arcana Twilight boys react to themselves in another alternate universe about them being the Six wives?
Also, Summoner as Henry the 8th. It's funny!
LMAO THIS WILL BE HILARIOUS 💀
Ex wives
Arcturus: He really like the introduction but was very confused why it started with divorce, dead, died, divorce, dead and survive. He will ask the Summoner about humans history later.
Spica: he think the outfits are bit too revealing. Other than that, he likes the beats.
Pollux: Poll was like 'WOW' the whole time. He is so gorgeous in that universe. Literally admiring himself lmao and called Alpheratz an old lady too.
Alpheratz: he still look handsome as ever.
Sirius: Green does suit him and he look very fashionable. Kinda wondering why Vega has a smug look the whole introduction.
Vega: know about the history and know that shits going down. Seeing Sirius as Anne Boleyn already make him almost laugh. But then again, he have to hold his laughter.
No way - Spica as Catherine of Aragon.
Arcturus: *shocked pikachu face* Spica is Summoner's wife and Summoner is cheating on him with Sirius?! He almost fainted but Spica caught him.
Spica: he know that's him in other universe but somehow he feel pissed of at Sirius. Image having a family with your husband but then he cheated on you none than other but your colleague.
Pollux: *Shocked Pikachu face #2* he recorded it to use it as a blackmail. Still haven't recovered by the sudden news hit him though.
Alpheratz: he is going to tease Spica forever for this.
Sirius: he laughed for the entire video. It's just a pure gold comedy for him.
Vega: is recording Sirius laughing for the whole situation just so he can replay his laugh when Sirius turn come.
Don't lose your head - Sirius as Anne Boleyn
Arcturus: oh boy, this gave him heart attack. It explains the song introduction.
Spica: slander Sirius for it such as "that's what you get for stealing someone's man." he is enjoying this.
Pollux: almost cry to be honest. Image seeing your friend from another universe got beheaded by Summoner from other universe. He doesn't like it anymore. Also, it explains why Vega hold his laughter for the whole time.
Alpheratz: that took turn really fast. He thought it's just hilarious story but oh boy. He was wrong. Probably won't be able to sleep for a while after seeing a guy you dislike got beheaded.
Sirius: drop his smile as soon the song getting darker in beats. He is mad at his other self for marrying the other Summoner.
Vega: literally replays Sirius laughter a lot of time just to pissed him off. Everyone started to think Vega is a psychopath for smiling throughout the video.
Heart of Stone - Arcturus as Jane Seymour.
Arcturus: he is crying. He feels bad for his own son from another universe and also himself. They have something in common which is hope.
Spica: Spica was like, oh this is so Arcturus and yeah he was right. Almost drop a tear but hold it. The song is so sad for him and it sadden him more to see Arcturus in that universe hoping for Summoner's love is permanent.
Pollux: he is crying like a baby to be honest. Had Alpheratz as his pillow to wipe of his tears. Arcturus is so sweet in every universe.
Alpheratz: crying mentally on the inside. He won't make fun of anyone who cry at this song because it's cryable.
Sirius: the situation is so tense even for him so he tried to bright up the mood with patting Arcturus's back. Vega slap his hand though.
Vega: he slap Sirius's hand because he's the one who want to comfort Arcturus.
Get down- Alpheratz as Anna the Cleve
Arcturus: this song teach him the term of gaslight, girlboss and gatekeep. He really like Alpheratz attitude in there.
Spica: "why can't you be more like her?" he said to Alpheratz with a grin. Marriage that didn't last for a year, oh how he love to hear scandal.
Pollux: regret calling Alpheratz in that universe an old lady. In fact he is admiring the other Alpheratz more than the original one.
Alpheratz: proud of himself. He frowned at Spica's comment and said "Image getting divorced because you're old." Spica all frowned at that.
Sirius: he secretly proud- yeah a big surprise. He likes this song more than his own.
Vega: still surprised that Alpheratz as Anna the Cleve. They both have huge difference personality but it's funny to see Alpheratz acting like Girlboss.
All you wanna do - Pollux as Kathryn Howard.
Arcturus: he was wondering why Vega insisting on throwing Pollux to his room again. Oh boy, once he heard the song he felt his heart shattered to pieces.
Spica: he is glad he shove Pollux back to his room. Even if Pollux is not that innocent, he can't handle another crying person. Arcturus already have his eyes red from crying. It was disturbed and sad.
Pollux: still wondering why the hell he can't listen to the song and why when he came back, Arcturus and Alpheratz won't stop stop hugging him.
Alpheratz: he was disgusted at those people who harassed Pollux from another universe. He even scream when Pollux was beheaded for false accusations. Once he get out from here, he's going to treat both Pollux and Arcturus a nice meal-
Sirius: had his jaw dropped the whole time. He really doesn't enjoy this anymore. Yeah all of it start with nice stuff but this? It's too much even for him.
Vega: he feel bad for both Kathryn and Pollux in that universe. Vega is a big fan of Kathryn back in Middle Eartheim when he was learning England history
I don't need your love- Vega as Catherine Parr
Arcturus: Vega voice is very majestic and he is proud of other Vega too. This stopped the whole room before it get flooded with tears.
Spica: really glad everything come to the end. He hopes from the dead one rest in peace-
Pollux: is proud for other Vega for not needing her husband love anymore. Listening to Vega's singing wanting him to karaoke with Vega again.
Alpheratz: they both have huge difference personality. Somehow, Alpheratz commenting to Vega for the whole video.
Sirius: "hey, how come he gets the cool part?" -Sirius 2023. Still not over the fact he got beheaded.
Vega: "because unlike someone I don't see the reason why I should steal someone's husband to climb the throne." -Vega 2023. Yeah he and Sirius having a beef after this.

so it was technically yesterday for me bc australia but the 23rd of november is the one year anniversary of me seeing six for the third time with chiaragon and also doctor who day! So heres my silly little doctor who x six drawing i did in class today because its been floating around in my head for a while
Im only up to start of season 6 so havent done any companions i havent met yet! Anyway heres my reasoning for my silly thoughts
River Song/Aragon - mostly spoilers that i havent actually got to but shes the doctors wife, pretty sure the night on that planet was 24 years, she also has - quoting the 11th doctor in my timelord book- the biggest bestest hair in the whole world! Her intro would be like my name is melody or river song spent over 24 years im a paragon etc
Jack Harkness/Boleyn - i mean dont lose ur head face of boe anyone? Also hes that harkness guy hes up next see he broke the whole universe by becoming an immortal being yeah hes that sexy
Rose Tyler/Jane Seymour - yeah the only one he truly loved (rude), and also stood by his side with a heart of stone . Martha could have got this part because she stood by him as well when he was a jerk and did the fire comparison as well from memory but this is rose
Donna Noble/Anna of Cleves - again this could have been martha because martha actually got a happy ending (martha should be the swing lol) but i see donna as cleves because of the general sassiness and outlook on life like shes having a great spa day while 10 is going through one of the most terrifying experiences ever
Amy Pond/Katherine Howard - Amy was pretty sexualised by the writing and the medias view of her, and her attempted seduction of eleven showed how she was still hurting from having to wait for so long. But amy, once you get through the defensive layers can be quite bubbly, like k howard in reverse. Cant put it into words but its just the vibes.
Martha Jones/Catherine Parr - Saving the best for last, we have the ultimate queen martha jones herself. Shes the survivor, she doesnt need his love, she deserves to be remembered for so much more than her interest in the doctor , like the fact she WALKED THE EARTH AND SAVED THE WORLD and shes a beautiful, smart compassionate person who is actually a qualified doctor. Can you tell i feel very strongly about this?
Anyway hope you enjoy this!!
