The boy, Kuroo, pointed to Yachi’s figure who’s escorted by Kiyoko–you thought she somehow forgot about you, but you instantly erased the thought from your mind when noticing her not so subtle glare directed towards Kuroo.

“Ah, I just became an official manager yesterday,” you said, finding talking to Kuroo comfortable–he did kind of intimidating for his height, still standing taller over you. Maybe he’s almost 190 cm. However, he exudes this comforting aura much like Daichi as a captain. “My name is Otohaku [Name] and the girl you mentioned before is Yachi Hitoka, she’s my classmate.”

“That explains a lot.” Kuroo hummed. “And I have to say, this is the first time I’ve seen a girl as tall as you. At least Yamamoto is right about the model-like part.”

Instantly, you found your face hot as if it was engulfed with fire–stealing a laugh from him and earning another hair ruffle for you.

“I’m happy you’re getting along with our manager and all,” Daichi soon interrupted by pushing his way in between you and Kuroo while removing the captain’s hand from your head. “Just like Ushiwaka, he’s one of the top five aces heading to nationals.” Takeda-sensei continued.

“Bokuto Kotaro.” Somehow you couldn’t control your inner monologue and just plain blurted it, earning a surprised look from the older men and your girls. Also magically, the person you just mentioned immediately snapped his head to look over his shoulder and looking straight at you. He immediately grinned and you tried to reply back with a nervous smile and a wave.

“[Name]-chan, how did you know that!?” Yachi asked.

“Uhm, nice to meet you. I’m Karasuno’s manager, first year. Otohaku [Name].” you bowed slightly to show your respect.

“What!? You’re a manager!? And a first year!?” maybe it’s instinct or his outgoing personality much like Hinata, he didn’t hesitate to close the gap and stood only a few centimeters away from you. “You’re so tall, though! It’s awesome! Man, first years this time are really something!”

“Bokuto-san, you’re being too close.” Akaashi interrupted and slightly tugged on the captain’s shirt, preventing him from taking another step forward and ended up scaring you away.

“But, Akaashi look at her!” Bokuto didn’t even hesitate to point at you enthusiastically. “She’s only a little bit shorter than me!”

Getting away from Akaashi’s grip, he threw an arm around you and plainly pressed his cheek on top of your head–where your height stopped. It all happened too fast to the point your brain short-circuited. “See!”

Akaashi’s brow twitched. “Bokuto-san, you’re making her uncomfortable.”

“Excuse me,” Sugawara interrupted with a smile, however, the smile was far from friendly–dark auras looming behind him menacingly, which made Bokuto stiffened. Why? Because it was directed to him. “Could we have our dearest manager back, please?”

“Of course, we apologize if we took her time,” Akaashi said and pulled on Bokuto’s shirt to drag him away, essentially saving him from Sugawara’s wrath.

I think Erwin really admires your scrapbooking hobby. He might get you a new one, or always have some hidden somewhere so that you never have to spend your own money on them. Or if he’s passing by a stationery store, he might pop in after seeing something in the window. “Mm, yes, this looks cute/(insert adjective)/this matches what they are scrapbooking at the moment.” I am not sure what you scrapbook, but perhaps he might buy you a polaroid camera for one of your birthdays so you don’t have to go out and print or develop your photos.

Speaking of polaroids, you both have polaroid photos in the back of your phone case and in your wallet/purse. Sometimes when he’s working, he leaves the phone facing downwards so that he can see your face and be reminded that everything he does, he does for you and it motivates him when procrastination sets in.

Date wise, I do picture Erwin wanting to pull out all the stops, but he’d consider your need for quieter places. He will book a reservation in a fancy restaurant on special occasions, and perhaps request a booth table, so that you two have your privacy away from the prying eyes of other people. So, I love Mackinac Island because it’s so beautiful and peaceful (even with thousands of tourists covering the tiny location) but I also just love when I’m with my people. When I’m with one of My People wherever we are, that’s my favorite place because I’m really happy. Also, I really love my work because nothing exists outside those four walls except the babies I take care of

What do you typically have for breakfast? A big cup of coffee and the occasional bagel or bowl of cereal

What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep? The first semester of my sophomore year I had this 60-70 page case study due for the end of the term for an education class. For at least a week I would stay up until about 5 am working on it, go to sleep, get up at 7:30 am and do it all over again. That’s been my most stressful and sleep deprived time of my life so far and just looking bad makes me shudder. At least I got a 99% on it

What makes you angry? A lot of things. Let’s not get into that.

What makes you nervous? Uh, everything. But thinking about the real part of my future (bills, working, adulting) really gets me going

Appearance : they are very pale,they have a lot of freckles and big eye bags. Their eyes are green and pixely (basically the pupils and iris are rectangular shaped, it’s part of their quirk). They wear glasses adapted to their quirk (without them the world look like a retro video game). Their hair are red. Their eyes can change of shape and/or colour depending on their emotions. They have plugs at the end of each of their finger, which is a part of their quirk.

Quirk : hacking

They can plug the plug at the end of their fingers in any kind of electronic device, when their plugs are plugged into the electronic device, it allows them to control it. They can only control 10 devices at the same time. Depending on the complexity of the devices it can become really hard for them to stay focus of the situation surrounding them and on the devices at the same time. If they are controlling multiple complex devices at the same time it can become nearly impossible for them to focus on what’s going around them, they might even passed out. The plugs have three meters cables that Akihiko can control at ease, it’s like another limbs to them and it act likes one ! For example, if they are startled a little bit of the cable will pop out of their fingers. The cable of the fingers are really solid and it’s really hard to cut them, in consequences they decided to use their cable as mean to immobilize their opponents. But if the cable are cut, most likely by another quirk, they’ll feel the worst pain possible, at least it can grow back but the pain is really unbearable.

Personality : they are an extremely nice person but often seems weird due to their lack of experience in social interaction. They often leave short silence between each of their phrases so they can think of the next one. When people surprises them they’ll stumbles and mumble a lot they he end up talking to them. They appreciates spending time with other people but the introvert really need their alone time, especially if it’s with very loud people. When there’s too many people they feel overwhelmed and end up not talking a lot. They got a generalized anxiety disorder but they hide this fact to most of their acquaintances, only their close friends knows it. They are also the kind of persons to always be tired that doesn’t sleep a lot. They can often be described as a dreamy person, because of their habits to get lost deeply in their thoughts. Lastly, they are very touch starved and can get very cuddly with people they trusts and appreciate (only when they know they are comfortable with that kind of thing)

Likes : dogs (they are a dog person, they just love their energy and friendliness, sadly they never had one, their father didn’t wanted one and their mother is allergic to them), space, pastel color, sweet food (they definitely have a sweet tooth), video games (especially retro rpg like earthbound), chill music (like snail’s house’s), wearing skirts and eyeliner (by the way they rock that eyeliner.), oversized sweater

Dislikes : spicy food, crowds, loud places, storms/thunder (in fact storms scare them A LOT. It’s to the point that when they are alone during a storm, even if they are inside they are most likely to have a panic attack. When they are with people they are still very anxious but they control themselves better. It’s because when they were little they almost died because of thunder, after all they have metal pieces at the end of their fingers and metal + electricity is not the best combo. It’s also the reason why they are uncomfortable with people with electricity based quirk)

Backstory :

While growing up as a child Akihiko never felt right in their body. Their father keep telling them that they are a young boy who should starts to act like one. But they don’t like being a boy. They don’t really like their father either, but people seems to think that they should took pride about him being their father, something about him being a great scientists. But they don’t understand why they should be proud of their father. Their classmates often seemed happy when talking about their parents, so why don’t they feel the same thing ? It’s just that he keep telling them that they aren’t good enough. They started to believe him, after all it’s their father, he knows what’s best for his child right ? …Right…? The parents of their classmates, they said nice thing, Akihiko heard them, and they talk a lot too. But their father don’t do that, they don’t remember him saying something nice once and he doesn’t talk to them a lot. And when he does he uses “he” to talk about them. They never liked the sound of “he”.

When they are at their mother’s place it’s… Different. For some reason their dad and mom doesn’t live at the same place and they never see them at the same time, they don’t understand why. Their mother said it’s because they don’t love each other anymore. But aren’t a mother and a father supposed to love each other ? They don’t really understand… Is it because of them ? They start to believe it a little…

Since their mother catch them being all happy to wear her skirts and dresses once, things has been different… When she saw them she told them that she always wanted a little girl and she was happy that they were feeling more like a girl. She was so happy that they didn’t wanted to told her that they don’t really like the sound of “she” either. They like their mother a lot, she’s really nice and happy and she’s always at home for them, unlike their father. She doesn’t seem to have a job, they don’t understand why, for them she’s so perfect, why would people reject her ? She always respond with a weak smile, saying that somebody with a quirk adapted to the the work got it. It’s true that they never seen her using a quirk like them or their father. People call this quirkless, but with the way they are saying it, Akihiko feel like they should just says worthless. Of course  Akihiko don’t think it, for them, their mother is the strongest person in the world. Right ?

Akihiko was growing. One week with “he”, another one with “she”. They starts to understand what they are little by little. They aren’t a girl, nor they are a boy. They are just themselves. People call this nonbinary. They like how “they” sounds. But they don’t want to say it to their parents. They know that their mother will be sad to not have the little girl she thought she had, even if she would hides it they don’t want to make her upset. Well at least more upset than she already is. Their mother… She’s no longer the happy person that she was. Her perfect facade has cracked. She started to drink. A lot. To the point where she forget what she’s saying. Nothing bad happens, she just cries a lot about all the problems she has. She needs money, to pay her rents, to pay her debt, to pay a lot of things. She always forget that she told Akihiko all of those things and Akihiko act like they forgot it too. Sometimes they wonder if their mother aren’t acting too so they can have a shoulder to cry on. But one thing that Akihiko is convinced of is that they are a burden to their mother because of all the money she use for them. They know that she has near to nothing financially speaking and people still doesn’t want to give her a job. Just because she doesn’t have a quirk. It saddened them, it angered them. But they say nothing about it, they prefer locking it all inside.

And for their father…. They don’t even want to think about it. Things has gotten worse with him. Before it was just words, some remarks about how useless “he was”. But now it has become more physical. They don’t like it at all. But they lock it up inside and hides it with a big and comfortable sweater. It’s their fault, they should know it. That’s what he keeps saying to them. Parents knows best… Right ?

They exploded at school. Not literally of course, but it’s how they’ve felt. They were feeling really anxious. They didn’t knew why. Then they felt it, the explosion in their head. Everything was too much, it’s too loud, it’s too bright, they can’t breath, they don’t know what’s going on. They think they can hear voices. They don’t know, they are too scared to move. Then reality came back. Little by little. It happened once. Then it become twice. They stopped to count after ten. They have seen a psychologists. They said that they have something called a  generalized anxiety disorder. It was their mother who took them to see this man. She seemed really sad after it. They don’t like to see her sad so they said to her that this man was just dramatizing and that they were fine. She seemed happy, and they stopped seeing the man. Akihiko also stopped to said to her when they had those things called panic attacks.

Akihiko always thought that hero were amazing. After all who wouldn’t ? They realized that one day they want to be one too. They don’t want to be a “he” and become a scientist. They don’t want to be a “she “ and turn like their mother, a ghost of who she used to be. They want to help people in another way, they want to become somebody who wash fear away when they arrive. They want to become Pixel, the electronic hero. And so they set a foot for the first time into UA.

Akihiko has just arrived into the building where the entrance exam for UA was about to start. They were so anxious they felt they could exploded. This is it. They only have one chance to do this. As they were sitting down they tried to do some breath exercises they learned on their own to calm themselves a little. Things were starting to get better, the young person was lost in their thoughts when suddenly a loud “WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO MY LIVE SHOW ! EVERYBODY SAY HEYY !” snapped them back to reality. Startled, it took them a few seconds to realized it was a pro hero who made this flashy arrival. Well, it doesn’t look like he had a lot of reaction. He sound familiar…. Oh ! They remember now, it’s Present Mic ! It looked like he’s the one who’s taking care to explain to the bunch of middle schooler in this room how the exam will goes. Anyway as they were explaining to them what they were about to do they felt a little more confident. It was just robots ! So they can control them, this exam should be easy ! Of course that’s not where his train of thoughts stopped… “What if you the technology is too complex for you to control ?” “What if people take all the robots before you ?” Many more “What if…”followed but they tried to push them aside. They still had a little effects on them as they’ve felt a ball of anxiety forming into their stomach.

(Timeskip to the middle of the fight against the robots)

One robot, two robots, three, ten… They stopped counting a while ago, it was just too hard for them to concentrate on the number of point they have while they have to deal with so many information. A robot is coming to their left, they order another robot to throw themselves into it. Immediately after the destruction of the two robots they use the free finger to control a new one, it look likes this one can get him more points. He can feel that the technology is more advanced than the others, did the school made that on purpose ? It’s an infinite cycle of destruction of robots and finding new robots while being sure they aren’t attacked by the remaining robots. It’s tiring to say the least, especially in the middle of this pure chaos. Suddenly they see it. The zero-point villain robot. Wow. This thing is HUGE. And probably deadly. Most likely very deadly. They were about to run but stopped in the middle of their tracks when they saw a group of person carrying somebody who seemed to be wounded. They were so slow. The only thing that they could think was : they aren’t going to make it . Their mind went blank when they felt themselves using their cable to throw the group away of this robot. Yes, they could have been more delicate but when you have a giant deadly robot behind you, being delicate isn’t the first on your mind. They helped them to get back on their feet and to carry what seems to be their friend so they could go faster. Finally the words “THE TEST IS OVER !!!” are shouted. The small group that was running for a while now stopped, out of breath and definitely relieved. Akihiko finally starts to think straight again and as their adrenaline dropped they started to feel a little dizzy. Okay, they definitely use their quirk way too much. The ends of their fingers were aching. Let’s be honest here, everything hurt like hell. One of the girl turn to him, it look like their wounded friend was getting care of by a small old woman. Is this Recovery Girl ? Probably. Anyway the girl started to speak “Thank you so much ! I don’t know if we would still be alive without you… We’re pretty sure to have failed that test… But you ? I’m sure you’re going to become a great hero !” the world hero resonated nicely in their ears. They couldn’t help but smile, the pain the tiredness, everything was worth just for this simple word. Hero. The only thing that they thought of saying was a simple “Thank you !”. Recovery Girl was done and she was  looking at them during their conversation, smiling. She said “Kid, you look a little pale, take some candy.” and as she said that she throw at him some candy that they catched. While they were eating the gift they couldn’t help but think “Maybe I can become a hero.”
