teams are not really defined, and I mostly go on vibes and pokemon I like, but there is some reasoning ⬇

Robotnik:

Alakazam - one of the smartest pokemon, said to have an incredibly high IQ.

Banette - once a doll thrown away by a child, I though it would fit with Robotnik being an orphan and maybe feeling abandoned?

Stone:

Zorua (then evolved into Zoroark): I think a shapeshifting pokemon would fit with Stone constantly blending in and assuming other identities (Mean Bean barista, GUN soldier).

Espeon and Manectric I just like lol, many pokemon I will draw because I want to try them out with certain characters.

Sonic:

Ninjask: fastest non-legendary pokemon. I think he could have found it in the woods where he lived prior to the movies. They have fun racing each other.

Wade:

Poliwhirl - it looks silly.

Maddie:

Audino - well, it can heal people and pokemon. It helps her at work.

Gerald:

Mew - actually, it is not his pokemon. I have to say that I have not played the Sonic games, but from what I understand (from a quick reading of wikipedia), Shadow was created using the blood of Black Doom. In the same vein, Gerald used Mew to create Mewtwo, maybe as an alternative in case the project Shadow failed, maybe some other thing, I still don't really know honestly.

Again, nothing is really definitive, I could change my mind on the pokemon and lore, but for now this is what I have. And I'm drawing more, I'm having a lot of fun :)

Hey! Been following you for a while and I adore your art, and you don't have to respond or answer this, but I just wanna say how much I appreciate how you draw people of color. Like, your Malik and Altair drawings, even the simpler ones, you draw their features so well and you give them lighter palms and dual toned lips, and it's just so nice to see? Genuinely it will make my day, I'm always a little bummed out about the lack of representation, especially for Arab characters, and the way you draw Malik, his skin tone, it's similar to mine and I just feel so seen.

I guess I'm trying to say thank you for adding these details to your art, even if they seem small they mean a lot <3

OMG i'm so so so flattered to hear this!!

this is the most ac fanart i've done in at least a decade, and honestly, one of the most disappointing things to see since coming back and catching up has been how prevalent whitewashed altmal fanart still is. the crazy thing is that even in art where they get the skin tones right, altair still keeps showing up as a blonde/brunette, which is like... beyond baseless. i mean he literally uses the EXACT same head/facial texture on his in-game model as desmond, who has black hair. you can back the in-game camera into a wall and see desmond's heavy black eyebrows on altair's face. and as for malik, well, i mean. he's right there. you can use your eyes and context clues and know that that is not a white man.

besides, malik's white hood and embroidery pop more when his skin is darker, which makes for a strong and symbolic composition. altair looks cute and striking with jet black hair. and how often do you get gaming protags that look like them to begin with? plus, adding all the little details is a lot of fun on top of everything else!! if you're going to claim it's a stylistic choice to give them a melanin deficiency, you have to admit it's a boring one.

Reader is more taller than the other toons and a bit intimidating due to their number of eyes and limbs, but they don't mind. The craft siblings are the only ones that aren't immediately startled by them.

(Bonus points if Reader encounters them when they are twisteds or a part when Reader was raising them when they were younger. Also sorry if this is too specific.)

Hey, dear anon!! No worries, actually you're helping me SO much by making it too specific, I usually try to come up with my own ideas (which can take a while!) so you telling me what you want really helps!! It was nice to write so here you go, dear anon!! Thank you for requesting! <3

For the second part, I went with reader encountering them when they are twisteds! Gimmie those bonus points!!! >:D

-Anna

-Normally, anyone who ever first saw you visibly flinched or you could see their surprised and kinda uneasy expression. A lot of them tried to brush it off cuz well.. it was rude to do it literally in front of you, some even apologized for it but your appearance was quite spooky for them. You also happened to be taller than them, your eyes and limbs also kinda scared them but some actually didn't even seem scared of you, just curious. One of them was Goob, who happened to be accompanying Scraps, she was a little spooked but warmed up to you quickly, especially when she saw you interacting with her brother.

-You actually grew closer to the craft siblings quickly, you first liked accompanying them when they were doing crafts and arts together, passing around materials like it was nothing with your limbs and even doing things yourself. You preferred watching them either draw or making something together, it felt really nice to you for some reason. Goob would have this smile on his face and Scraps would have this focused face often, trying to make the best thing she could. Goob just had fun but Scraps would always look into improving her skills.

-You often felt the need to take care of them and also help them in any way you could. You would help Goob with things he struggled with, like cleaning his fur, brushing it and making it very soft for hugs, help him with drawing or crafting something as well, his hands could do things but it would be quite hard and he was clumsy in a lot of stuff. As for Scraps, you liked to keep her company and she would go to you to ask you to see if she has improved, either with her art or origami or anything else she would make. They really appreciated your help, it made their day better and they looked up at you a lot.

-Honestly, they helped a lot with your relationship with other toons as they talked so highly about you, making the others also warm up to you slowly, things felt normal in Gardenview for you. You were used to others being intimidated by you so it didn't bother you so much but this was a nice change. Goob often talked about how much you help him and that you give really big and warm hugs, it's also one of the reasons he gave you lots of them. As for Scraps, she was more happy with her progress in art and the things she made, saying you definitely have an eye for this thing and knew what to tell her to improve. You noticed an increase in the things she made after she improved some more.

-It was kinda funny how they literally acted like they were your kids but well, you have been taking care of them for a good while now, you grew super close to them and loved doing things for them, making sure they are happy and more. Seeing them smiling also made a smile grow in your own face as well and when they accomplished things they wanted to do, you loved to celebrate with them, being very proud of them. The craft siblings always wanted to celebrate everything together with you, as you have been a very important toon in their lives, always giving them more confidence to do things they wanted to do or put more effort in.

-Of course, smiles and laughter didn't last forever, with Gardenview closing down and toons slowly disappearing or becoming twisteds, you grew very worried about everything. You trusted the craft siblings to take care of themselves as they were always together, protecting one another. You stayed with other toons who didn't really have anyone but it didn't take long for the siblings to disappear and become twisteds eventually. You will always remember the first night you didn't say goodnight to them, especially after you were so used to it, it got you so stressed and you couldn't sleep well that night. The next day, even though you were supposed to wait for more toons to accompany you, you didn't care and went to find them yourself, not caring about anything anymore.

-When you finally found them after many floors, you couldn't help but freeze, your eyes kept observing them, how they looked in pain, their colors had somewhat faded and their eyes were red and just everything about them. Goob was crying, his claws bigger and fur looked more rough and Scraps.. she only kept smiling, her cup tail looked sharp and intimidating as well as her claws. Your heart dropped and you felt like you had failed them completely, allowing them to become like this. You couldn't even describe what you were feeling when you looked at them being in pain and completely different than before yet still so so similar.

-Goob had happened to approach you first or well.. had hugged you the moment he saw you. You had to hold his claws away so they don't hurt you and you watched him shake as he kept staring at you, even his hands shook when you held them away from you. You slowly embraced Goob as you held him tight and close to you, not even knowing what to say. You knew that twisteds couldn't speak nor understand a lot of things, especially since their minds were long gone a lot of the time. You felt as he held you close, having to unfortunately press the sharp claws on you but honestly? You didn't care now. Goob just wailed, ichor from his tears sticking to you.

-Scraps always stuck close to her brother and when she saw you? She extended her tail as it bit your arm, making you harshly flinch and pull away from Goob. She retreated her tail before she ran in your direction, ready to jump at you and slash you into pieces. It was going to be just that before Goob grabbed her and held her very tightly, not allowing her to hurt you. She struggled in his arms for a good while before giving up, frowning as she was technically forced to stare at you. You looked.. very familiar, after all. How come Goob was hugging you? She frowned even more when you stroked her head gently. Even if you were bleeding ichor, you looked at them with a small smile. You didn't know what would happen next.

-And you truly didn't know.. you knew it was very late and you definitely couldn't bring them back to the lobby or the room they shared. You don't think you would even get to watch them do the things they so loved. You.. still tried doing things with them. Goob would follow you around like a lost puppy and Scraps would climb things, looking at everything around for something to strike and tear apart, she would even circle the two of you, looking out for the both of you in her own.. new ways. You like to bring things like a brush to brush down Goob's rough fur and papers and more for Scraps to use.. even if she ends up scratching them or finding other things more interesting. No matter what now, you refused to leave their side, you wished things would go back to normal but what you could do was make their new lives easier now and stay there by their side.

I'm a little shy! But I would like to express my amazement and admiration! A while ago I found your Shadow Chase art, I loved it and became a fan, you create very funny stories and your art is beautiful, but that's not the point, I started following you because of that, but then I realized that you have many others projects and You are also very busy with your personal life. My question is how is everything organized and planned to advance a project despite academic/work responsibilities? I've seen that you even have collaborations with others and I keep thinking "this person is great." As a final note, I just want to leave my good wishes and hope you have a nice week. <3

Gosh, so many compliments in one ask, I‘m still a little loss for words. Thank you so much for reading my work and looking into my other projects, collabs and art! I hope you‘ve been enjoying them. ❤️ 

I think there is no denying that I need to organize myself a little bit to make everything work. I think I‘ve always used drawing, especially drawing comics, as a way to breathe and when I started uni I promised myself I would continue drawing somehow. The first semester was hell, but I finished all the way. 💪 And I had the same mindset for working, so when I started this year I was very motivated to draw. Lol I think it also helped that I had several different projects to work on so when I wasn’t in the mood for black and white I would move to something colorful. Comics also offer the possibility to work on different parts. Do I want to work on the story, on the storyboards, on the actual drawings or just editing…? A lot of options. And this is something which I heard on a video on AI but artist and creative people in general don‘t create in other to have more content but to get something out of their head and feel the satisfaction of creating a certain idea and I felt that very much. And then there is the joy of collabs and while there were unfortunately more failed attempts at collabs I’m very glad for those which eventually resulted in great projects. ❤️ I might have to take actual breaks from drawing when I get back to my thesis. I finished all the work but need to write the discussion part and wow, how much I don‘t wanna work on that. 

Currently I use my time on commutes for drawings digitally or making storyboards. In the evening I finish private stuff and when time is left I work on traditional art. Shadow Chase is the only project where I try to have an overview on how many pages I have done and want to finish before the next upload. Other works can usually go up once finished. When I create something for fan projects like zines, bigbangs, etc. I usually just try to finish said project right away. I don‘t like procrastinating (except my thesis I guess) and rather have stuff than can be finished done right away and focus on my other projects again.  Shades of Tourmaline was definitely my biggest collab project yet and with the amount of art planned it took like 3 years to finish because that was something I couldn‘t get done right away. 😂 fortunately clef was very patient with me (and kept me distracted with new collabs, oops). 

The short answer would be I try to draw as much as possible because it is just a lot of fun with the additional bonus of entertaining a few people. ❤️

it's about time i officially shared my design for Clip from my hairdresser au! here's the silly boi himself!

a.k.a. the most complicated character i've ever designed...

that's my boi, despite his crazy design, i love him. his silly top knot hat, the horn-like points around his faceplate, his speckled colours, his four arms, and his funky pants. he's just soooooo fun.

Clip likes to play games and knit! he even made the patchwork pants he wears (he made Sun and Moon a pair too, but they're too precious for them to wear... also a little gaudy to wear in public—doesn't stop Clip tho!). He actually makes everything the boys wear, since there's not a lot of things in their size/shape.

instead of resting at night, he can be found in their living room, playing Kirby 64 for the nth time and/or knitting something. he's just too restless to stay still, he's always gotta be doing something and if it isn't gaming, knitting, or hairdressing, then he's up to No GoodTM.

Clip... likes popping balloons. he says "Goodnight!" with each popped balloon and once he's done, he tosses up the scraps like confetti all while giggling joyfully.

needless to say, he is not fun at parties. Sun and Moon don't let him near balloons for this reason.

and yes, he has sewing needles on hand at all times. for fashion emergencies... and for unsuspecting balloons.

Clip's not allowed to have a phone (just imagine all the in-app purchases Sun and Moon would have to deal with), but he likes to keep up with his customers and their games, even if he doesn't get their fixation over bluenets he'll never openly admit it but he prefers curly-haired blond hunks that look sweet in soft pastels but could also squash him like the spider he is

also, he's great at microbraiding! though i imagine if Sun and Moon are free, they'd come help to shorten the wait but also to compete and see who braids the most (Clip always wins of course��make anything into a game, and he's winning)

aaaaand there's this! i wanted to make sure Clip would be able to freely rotate his waist so his arms could have their full range of motion, and this was the solution i came up with: a crop top on top and a wrap around his waist. and Clip here is being a sneaky little scamp about it.
