Rafe has had a bad day.
She notices it immediately by the way he greets her with only a brief peck on her cheek; carelessly throwing his jacket on the couch before slumping down against the cushions and letting out a washed-out exhale.
For the entirety of the week, gloomy clouds have painted over the dusty, colorless horizon and wet water puddles have saturated the socks of passing pedestrians and dog walkers alike. However, Rafe is not someone who particularly minds rainy days, which is why she assumes that the reason for his disgruntled mood has something to do with business, as it more often than not does.
He scratches at the buzzed hair still slightly damp from the rain while she simply stands there and blinks; unsure whether he wishes to be alone or not.
“What are you doin’? C’mere,” he suddenly orders in a somewhat of a stern tone and she has no choice but to pad over to his sprawled-out legs, lowering to sit on top of him and letting him paw at her waist as his beefy arms pull her closer. And she can't really complain when the heat of his body seeps into her flesh in such a comforting way; makes her insides feel all fluffy and featherlight.
In the same way that Rafe seems to enjoy her needing him to take care of her when everything feels like too much, she loves being there for him; likes to feel useful, needed.
“Do you wanna...talk about it?” the muted melody of her vocal cords reaches his ears as vivid raindrops pitter patter against the glass of the windows and he groans in exhaustion at how perfect she is for him.
“Not really,” he dismisses her with a shake of his head. “How was your day, hm?”
“It was uh, okay. I don’t know, the usual. Had some boring lectures, almost fell asleep…questioned every decision I’ve ever made,” she huffs out and settles her palms on his strong biceps.
“Mm,” he’s only half listening; beginning to mindlessly twirl a strand of her hair around his index finger.
And she takes that as her cue to continue blabbering out complete nonsense as she begins to grow slightly restless being this close to him. Truth be told, she’s pathetically been missing him the whole day; the only thing granting her the motivation to go about her routines being the thought of seeing him at the end of it all. And now that he’s here, he seems frustrated; mind entirely elsewhere and she doesn’t know what to do except ramble on and on about her dull day.
Then, completely out of the blue, he’s grabbing her jaw into his massive hand and hushing her.
“Shut up for one second, yeah?” he mutters out before he’s tucking a thumb past her lips; a surprised squeak leaving the back of her throat at the sudden intrusion because he was the one who asked for her to talk in the first place.
However, she can’t exactly say that it’s unexpected. He often gets a tad bit meaner whenever he’s had a dreary workday and takes it out on her in some form or another. And regardless of how unhealthy all of it might seem, there’s a crooked part of her brain that yearns for it; wants him to come to her whenever he’s upset. If she’s utterly honest, the thought of him searching for solace in anyone else makes nausea creep up her bones.
For some reason, the firm pad of his thumb making her tongue feel heavy in her mouth placates her; turns her brain into a needy, dingy muddle in a way that only Rafe is capable of.
“Shit, just needed somethin’ to suck on, huh?” he pushes down on her tongue, making her swallow around the digit with a whimper.
“So fuckin’ pathetic sometimes, you know? Just take anythin’ daddy gives you,” a low-pitched chuckle thunders from his chest, seemingly amused by the ease in which she gives into him.
However, there’s also something gooey, syrupy beginning to whirl in the pit of her tummy. It reminds her of the countless times she was perched on the park swing as a little girl during the balmy summers of her childhood; thinking she could reach the fluffy clouds with the tips of her sneakers if only she could fly a little higher.
“Feels nice to have somethin’ in your mouth, doesn’t it?” he ogles her, mesmerized with intrigue twinkling in the Carolina blue that has always made her think of the sky.
She lets out a faint moan when he drags the digit out and then back in, making her gag around it; her hips involuntarily rutting against the growing bulge straining against the zipper of his pants, desperate for some sort of friction if even through the soft material of her sweatpants.
“Didn’t give you permission to move, did I?” he feigns confusion with a furrow of his brows that gets her to reluctantly halt her shifting.
“Daddy, need your...” her words are cushioned against the obstacle he’s planted between her teeth.
“Can’t really hear you, baby,” he mocks before he’s pulling the thumb out of her mouth altogether.
However, the next thing she knows, he’s stuffing in his index and middle finger both at the same time. They reach far deeper; a muffled sound of gagging following his actions as he seems to discover a perverted sense of satisfaction from her struggle.
"What did you say?" his lips twist into a cruel smirk when she whimpers pitifully and tries to draw away from him in order to catch her breath but his other hand only grips her jaw tighter, keeping her exactly where he wants as she’s forced to breathe through her nose.
“I think you can take it for a bit longer, yeah?” his teeth sink into his bottom lip as he simply stares, seemingly absorbed into the obscene scene before him.
And she should feel embarrassed, demeaned even. And she does! However, the humiliation of letting him do whatever he wants as if she’s nothing but a cheap toy for his entertainment blurs over the lines when her cunt throbs in response to his degrading attention. She flutters uselessly around nothing; powerlessly begging for some sort of alleviation with a whine that merely earns her a tut of his tongue.
Therefore, the only thing she can do is sit there like an obedient animal because he’s already scolded her once. She hasn’t turned entirely dumb just yet; knows firsthand how ‘daddy doesn’t like to repeat himself’ and that the next time she misbehaves will result in a punishment her poor cunt probably wouldn’t be able to handle in this helpless state of hers.
“Don't think you could take dad’s cock even halfway in this pretty mouth,” he mindlessly croons, thumb smoothing over the skin of her throat as she swallows the spit beginning to dribble down her chin.
The thought manages to pique her curiosity because his cock has been at the forefront of her mind for a couple of weeks now, due to him constantly teasing her with the notion of letting her suck him off properly. He keeps murmuring about training her throat and fucking it raw but never actually doing it; merely allowing for her to drool and mouth over the tip because apparently, she's 'not ready yet'.
She’s beginning to turn into something desperate because whenever she tries to take more of him into her mouth, he stops her with a click of his tongue and big hands lifting her head off him. “Don’t be greedy now, sweetheart,” he’d scold her but she's certain she’s going to die if she doesn’t get to feel his cock nudge at the back of her throat soon.
“Ray…” she tries to fruitlessly speak but he’s not exactly making it easy as he keeps stroking against her tongue. However, she doesn’t need to say anything. He knows what she wants.
“I mean, can barely fit into this tight cunt, don’t know why you keep whinin’ about wantin’ me in this mouth so bad. Don’t think you’d even enjoy it that much. It’s a lot, you know?” there’s something almost patronizing in the way he’s speaking to her as if he’s not the one who brought the idea up in the first place.
It’s like he’s trying to talk her out of it yet his fingertips keep prodding past her gag reflex every few minutes, almost as if testing the waters before plunging in and it’s making her head spin.
She whines and tries to defend herself but the digits fussing with the inside of her slobbery mouth don’t allow for her to form anything audible as she begins to grow troubled.
“What was that?” the line of his mouth curls when he pokes deeper once more, causing her to moan with watery eyes pleading him for anything at this point.
“Such a dirty girl. Bet you’d like choking on my cock, huh?” he grunts and she hums in response; nodding fervently before he’s finally withdrawing his hand and smearing the spit-stained fingers against her pouty lips.
They’re both panting heavily as he gently swipes at her under-eyes in order to catch the teardrops ready to trickle down before petting at the apples of her cheeks with a tenderness reserved only for her.
“Shit, always know how to make me feel better, don’t ya?” he rumbles fondly against her mouth; following his saccharine words with a messy kiss soon after. Maybe he’ll finally allow her to have what she so badly craves.

James took a deep breath, looking around his space.
He'd been cleaning all day long. Not really for any reason other than his mates coming over later that night.
He propped his hands on his hips, scrutinizing his own work for a moment.
"Good," he mumbled softly to himself, nodding as he walked back into the kitchen.
He busied himself picking up all the towels he'd used, and set a kettle on the stove for a cup of tea when he finished. He threw the towels in a hamper in the laundry room of his flat, and went back to the kitchen, waiting mindlessly on the kettle to start whistling.
Though, that's when he heard a knock on his door. He frowned a little, not expecting anyone over for another hour or two. He shuffled over to the door, opening it to see an unexpected face.
His smile grew. "Baby!"
"Hi, angel," she smiled back at him, walking past him and into his flat.
He chuckled, shutting the door, then turning to watch her take her shoes off very impatiently. He was practically bouncing by the time she finished and turned to him.
“Okay,” she opened her arms with a laugh, letting him practically tackle her.
He squeezed her into a crushing hug, knocking her off her feet, only protecting her from falling with the intensity of the embrace.
“James,” she chuckled, voice muffled by his chest. “You’re squishing me.”
“Mm,” he hummed absentmindedly, still holding her for a moment. “I missed you.”
“Me too,” she said, then kissed his shoulder once as he loosened his grip. “But you know how things are. I’ve gotta visit home sometimes. My family does like to see me on occasion, you know?”
“I know, love,” he mumbled, kissing her forehead. “But can’t they just come here instead?”
“They do on occasion. But I love being home, even if I still want to be around you more,” she winked.
James giggled, squeezing her again. “You flatter me.”
“I know. That’s kind of the point, Jamie.”
James smiled, his cheeks a little rosy as he looked at her. It had really only been a couple of weeks since she’d been around, but it felt like forever. He’d always had a soft spot for the girl, but it seemed to have intensified in the past months. Sure, they were still friends, but… there was something else there. He just didn’t want to be the first to admit it. Lately, he’d been thinking about it, though.
He sighed softly. “Uh… the boys are supposed to be over tonight.”
“Oh! Well, that’ll be fun. I’ll make sure to head out before they show up, then.”
“What?” He furrowed his brow in question.
“I’ll… make sure I’m not interrupting–”
“You’re not!” he cut her off, shaking his head.
Her brows raised, a small chuckle leaving her lips. “You sure?”
“‘Course I am! Don’t worry about it,” he smiled, shrugging a little. “Here, let’s go sit. I wanna hear all about your trip.”
He grabbed her hand, practically dragging her behind him to the living room. She shook her head in amusement, letting him pull her along without a hint of resistance until he’d sat them both down with not a centimeter of space between them.
“How were mum and dad?”
“Good, mostly,” she replied, not batting an eye as he slung an arm around her shoulders. “Mom’s been a little under the weather, but it’s nothing she can’t handle. You held down the fort here without me, then?”
“Barely,” he feigned a pout. “Could’ve fallen apart if you were gone one more day.”
“You’re so dramatic,” she laughed, leaning into him.
“Only ‘cause I love you.”
“Mhm,” she snorted. “You’re hopeless, you know that?”
“Can’t help it.”
“You never can.”
“Yeah,” he grinned, then kissed her forehead again. “God, you got even prettier. What were they feeding you over there?”
“Nothing you’d like, I’m sure.”
He laughed. “Probably not. But seriously, love… wow.”
She snorted a laugh, looking at him curiously. “When did you become such a flirt?”
“Please, you love it,” he chuckled, then shot her a sideways glance. “You love it, right?”
“Yes, dear.”
“Good,” he breathed out, then straightened up as a terrible whistling came from the kitchen. “Shit.”
She laughed as he shot up and hustled into the kitchen, following after him and watching as he grabbed his oven mit to take the kettle off the stovetop. She leaned against the doorframe, smiling to herself as he quickly pulled down two mugs and tea bags, preparing them both. He always put the tiniest bit too much sugar in hers, but she’d never complain to him. She accepted gratefully as he put a mug in her hand.
“There you are,” he muttered, then leaned against the counter. “Almost forgot that was on the stove.”
“Almost? James, you jumped up and practically ran in here.”
“...Shut up,” he hid a smile behind his mug, trying to take a sip before quickly moving away from the steam. “Hot.”
“Yeah, you are,” she muttered, barely thinking about it as it passed her lips.
His cheeks turned pink again. “You’re bound and determined to make me blush, aren’t you?”
“You’re cute when you blush,” she grinned, poking one of his cheeks. “You know I like to tease you.”
“Yeah, I know,” he rolled his eyes in response, but there was no malice behind it. He sighed softly, then let his eyes wander back to her. “Seriously, how did you get hotter?”
“Oh, and I’m the one trying to make you blush, huh?”
He giggled again. “Maybe we’re both guilty.”
She hid a smirk, shaking her head at him again. She glanced down at her still-steaming mug, then back at his face. His wide eyes and his lip pulled between his teeth. She had decided that it was incredibly annoying how attractive he was.
“James?”
“Yeah, love?” he responded immediately, his eyes widening in question.
She smiled again, unable to stop herself this time. “God, you’re fucking annoying. I say that with love.”
“Annoying?”
“You’re annoyingly hot.”
He looked away, his cheeks only warming further. He set his mug on the counter, crossing his arms over his chest. A move that she thought was very distracting.
“Can I ask you a question, love?” he asked after a beat.
“Of course.”
He glanced at her again. “Well… what do you think of me?”
“Huh?”
“Like… duh, we’re friends. But… like..”
“Like…?”
“Do you think we’d be, like… good together?”
She quirked a brow. “As in…?”
He groaned. “Like us. Together.”
“You mean like… together?”
“Duh.”
“I mean– Well, I haven’t… I can’t say that I’ve never thought about it,” she admitted quietly.
He sighed softly, looking at her carefully for a few moments. She looked right back, unsure what to do next after that. He wasn’t quite sure either, turning over that information in his head. She set her mug next to his on the counter, not wanting to hold it if they were going to keep standing there having that kind of conversation. He watched her as she moved closer to set her tea down, feeling a little restless as her perfume wafted up to him in a wave.
“Fuck it,” he huffed out, moving to put his hands on her cheeks, crashing his lips into hers.
Usually, he might not be so forward. But she was so fucking tempting, it was almost a crime to not kiss her at this point. And it felt good.
She froze up at first, a bit shocked that he’d gone and kissed her. Though, it didn’t take long before she gained her senses again and kissed him back like she was born to do it. He moaned into the kiss, nipping at her lip, pulling her flush against his body with his arms wrapped around her waist.
“James…” she mumbled against him, not really for any reason other than to feel his name on her lips.
He kissed along her cheek and jaw, mumbling in her ear, “I really missed you.”
“I missed you, too,” she breathed out.
He groaned, biting her neck gently before sucking on the skin. He attached himself there until he’d left a dark mark, determined to make her remember how it felt to kiss him.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you for ages,” he muttered, kissing all the way back up her neck.
“Really?”
“Yeah…” he kissed her lips again, then pulled back to look at her face. “I think… maybe for a year, now. You’re just… you know I’ve always thought you were hot.”
“I didn’t know you wanted to fuck me,” she laughed.
“Who said I did?”
She scoffed, her mouth dropping open. “You dick!”
He giggled. “Couldn’t help it. But… I definitely do. Really bad.”
She hummed, glancing down at his lips again. “So… a year, huh?”
“Yeah.”
“When did that start?”
He smirked. “When I realized my best friend was insanely hot and I was crazy to not want more. But… Well, the day we all went to the beach and I saw you in that itty bitty bikini definitely helped.”
“You perv,” she laughed, smacking his arm lightly.
“I already love your personality, what else was I supposed to say?” he defended himself with a chuckle.
“Whatever,” she snorted, pulling him back in and kissing him, much more softly this time.
He sighed against her lips, happy to finally know what she felt like in this way. He let his mouth open for her as she slid her tongue against his bottom lip, groaning into the kiss as he felt her tongue against his. He followed her lead for a moment before taking control of the kiss, backing her against the kitchen counter.
Her lower back hit the counter, and she smiled against his lips, letting him push her onto the counter. He stood between her legs, letting his hands travel up her thighs.
“What, are you gonna fuck me in the kitchen? Not super romantic, James,” she laughed.
“Mm. I’d take you anywhere. We’ll have time for romance later,” he replied easily, kissing down her neck, nipping at her collarbone.
His hands slid under her shirt, feeling her stomach. “God, you’re perfect.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“I mean it,” he asserted, pushing her top up and off of her, letting it drop to the floor. He took her in with a dreamy sigh. “Wow.”
She smiled. “It’s not that special.”
“Says you,” he glanced at her, scrunching up his face in distaste at her blase attitude about her body. His hands wandered over her skin, feeling her tummy, her ribs, her breasts. “You’re a damn angel, love.”
“You’re sweet.”
He hummed, tugging off his own shirt before going back to just feeling her. After a few moments, he couldn’t handle not seeing more of her. He let his hands wander again, reaching around her back to pull off that pesky bra. He let that drop onto the slowly growing pile of clothes on the ground. He reached up again, experimentally squeezing her breasts, feeling himself grow painfully hard against his jeans.
“See? This is all I could think about when you were in that stupid, gorgeous bikini of yours, love. And I was right. You’re incredible underneath it all,” he mumbled, locked in on feeling her chest.
His mouth watered at the sight of her, topless on his kitchen counter. His pretty best friend perched up there just for him to see and feel. He started kissing down her chest, stopping at one of her nipples, his tongue swirling around the swollen bud before he sucked it gently into his mouth.
She let out a small, breathy sound as she watched him with his eyes squeezed shut in pleasure from sucking on her. He looked so pretty and desperate like that. She ran a hand up his arm, tangling her hand in his hair.
“God, you’re eager,” she breathed out, a small laugh passing her lips.
“You’re fucking sexy’s why,” he mumbled against her skin, moving his lips to the other breast.
She sighed, her eyes fluttering shut from pleasure as he kissed and sucked at her tits, gently groping one with his hand as his mouth worked over the other. He slowly started moving his lips down, kissing along her ribs and stomach.
“You’d look real pretty pregnant, you know? I’ve thought about that a few times,” he mumbled, nipping the skin of her stomach.
“James…” she groaned.
“Sorry love. Can’t help myself,” he apologized, though they both knew he didn’t mean it. “Just wanna make you mine, ya’ know? Plus, we’d have pretty babies.”
He smiled again as another sound left her lips, his hands working to tug off her pants. He pulled them down her legs, kissing back up her leg once he’d dropped the pants on the floor.
“As much as I’d love to taste you, doll, I think that might have to wait. If I start, I won't be able to stop,” he said softly, kissing up her thigh. “You even smell perfect.”
“God, James. You’re such a slut,” she smirked a little.
“Only for you, baby,” he said, his dimple poking in his cheek as he stood straight.
He cradled her head in his hands, looking over her face for a moment before he leaned in to kiss her again, his lips moving soft and slow over hers. She held onto his biceps as he kissed her, feeling them move and flex under her palms as he dropped his hands to start pulling off her panties. He did it slowly, teasingly, until he’d pulled them off her legs entirely, letting them fall to the ground. He pulled back from the kiss, looking over her bare body.
“You’re so gorgeous,” he whispered, eyes trailing over her. “Pretty girl. I love you.”
She smiled. “I love you, too, Jamie.”
He kissed her again through a grin. “You’re the best friend ever, too. For the record.”
“I better be after this,” she laughed.
He chuckled along with her, pulling his pants and boxers down in one go. She let out a small noise of satisfaction, seeing him all naked and beautiful.
“God damn, James. No wonder the girls like you so much.”
He giggled at that. “I always thought it was my personality.”
“Sure,” she teased, pulling him in for another kiss.
He groaned into it, his hands wandering up and down over her body, feeling her soft curves under his skin. He let one of his hands reach down, slowly stroking his leaky cock, stepping closer to the apex of her thighs.
“Is this okay?” he whispered against her lips.
“Yeah. Please,” she nodded, breathing him in.
He shuddered, dragging himself along her slit before pressing at her entrance. He whined softly, barely pushing in.
“God…” he breathed out desperately, pressing his forehead against hers. He moaned softly, pulling a similar sound from her lips as he pushed into her, letting her heat envelop him. “You feel so good, love.”
“Yeah,” she groaned, her arms around his shoulders.
He pushed himself in all the way, a soft needy sound coming from him as he stilled for a moment before pulling out and repeating that motion slowly. They breathed each others’ air as James pushed his hips into hers slowly, almost teasingly, getting used to how she felt around him. He’d dreamed of fucking her a million times before, but there was nothing that could prepare him for how she really felt.
She dropped her head in his neck, feeling impossibly full. He wasn’t the biggest she’d ever seen in her life, but fuck if he didn’t feel like it. Not to mention the fact that his cock was gorgeous, and the mere thought of it dragging in and out of her had her feeling dizzy.
“Fuck, love,” he moaned, suddenly pulling her off the counter. “I need more.”
She chuckled breathily, though she whined softly as he pulled out.
“Wha–”
“Shhh…” he shook his head, spinning her around and bending her over the kitchen counter.
She let out a shuddering breath, a grin on her face as her breasts hit the cold counter, his hand pressing down on her lower back. He pushed back into her immediately with an animalistic grunt, picking up the pace immediately.
“You’re perfect,” he grit out, gripping her hips with one hand, pushing down on her back with the other. “Feel so perfect around me, baby.”
“Yes,” she moaned, her voice broken and needy as she pressed her hands against the counter, unable to do anything else.
He pounded into her, her hips hitting the edge of the counter with every thrust. Usually, he’d care much more about her safety and comfort, but he couldn’t bring himself to care with the sweet sounds she made for him every time his hips snapped against her ass.
“James,” she said, her voice whiny.
“Yeah, babe?”
“I’m gonna… I’m gonna cum.”
“Already?” he smirked, pounding into her harder.
She merely moaned in response, her eyes fluttering shut again as he moved one of his hands around her neck. He didn’t put any pressure on her, but it forced her to arch her back more, letting him hit a slightly different angle.
“God, Jamie…” she whimpered, her body suddenly convulsing, pulsing around him without warning.
He groaned, his eyes squeezing shut as he fucked her through it, loving the way she felt squeezing him like that.
“Shit, baby,” he said through a gasp, his hips beginning to stutter in their movements.
He let her drop against the counter again, gripping onto her hips with both hands, pulling her back against him with every thrust. He lost himself in pleasure, pushing himself into her with vigor until he couldn’t hold back anymore. He pulled out of her cunt, using his hand to stroke himself a few times before he was finishing on her ass, watching thick ropes of his cum cover her skin. He barely held himself upright as he watched it happen, breathing heavy from the effort until he was completely spent.
He braced himself on the counter with both hands. “Fuck, baby.”
She laughed softly through a whimper. “Y-yeah. Fuck.”
“You’re… God damn, love. You’re perfect,” he smiled to himself, catching his breath as he looked down at her body again. “Never thought I’d get to see you like this. All covered in my cum.”
“Yeah,” she breathed out, chuckling quietly. “But… maybe get me a towel? It’s starting to get cold.”
“Gross,” he snorted a laugh, moving to get a towel from one of the cabinets in the kitchen, dampening it with warm water. “Good thing we’re in the kitchen. Easy to clean up.”
“I guess,” she laughed as he wiped her clean of his seed. “Maybe next time you can just cum in me.”
He paused, his eyes widening. “Seriously?”
“Yeah,” she nodded easily.
“Shit, you’re sexy,” he mumbled, finishing cleaning her off. “Okay, love. All clean.”
“Thanks,” she said, standing straight.
They looked at one another for a moment, both quite satisfied with what they’d done, before she started picking up her clothes.
“So… the boys will be here soon, yeah?”
“Yeah,” he answered, laughing a little at her switch in topic. “Yeah, they will.”
“How long?”
He shrugged. “Maybe an hour.”
She nodded, pulling on her panties. “How long are they staying?”
“Until dinner time, I suppose.”
“Cool…” she nodded with feigned nonchalance.
He smiled a bit, looking at her with a raised brow. “What have you got planned?”
“With you? Everything,” she smirked.

Charles Leclerc (Scuderia Ferrari) - It's Always Been You
Requested: yes
Prompt: 4) "You deserve better."
Warnings: nope, but long iwl
Tumblr media
As the paddock seemed normal in it's all too familiar business and loudness, Y/n found solace in between hospitality lounges, with the stacks of Red Bull Racing tyres as her only form of company. The scent of rubber and gasoline enveloped her as she sought refuge from the shattered pieces of her heart. Tears streaked down her cheeks, leaving a trail of black from her eyeliner. As the sister of Max Verstappen, Y/n was no stranger to the high-speed world of Formula 1. Her heart, however, had taken an unexpected detour when she fell for Carlos Sainz, the charming driver who had once occupied a special place in her life. She remembers when she first met him, back when her twin and him were teammates. There was always casual flirting but then when Y/n finished up school in 2016, the pair began going on dates since her visits to the paddock became more and more common, then becoming basically constant once they made it official. They were the it couple and it felt like no other couple could compare. How they looked at eachother, how they spoke of one another, it seemed too good good be true...until the faithful night after the Singapore Grand Prix win when Carlos decided to call it quits.
The music pulsed through the air as Carlos downed one shot after another, his laughter filling the space. Y/n, his girlfriend, tried to catch his attention, but he seemed oblivious, lost in the sea of people. "Carlos? I  wanna go dance." Y/n said. "Yeah, sure. Go ahead." Carlos replied, turning back to his group of instagram models who fanned over him, all desperate for the same thing; dick and clout. She rolled her eyes and walked away. "Fine, do whatever." As she walked away, the girls began giggling at her little outburst and Carlos didn't once stick up for Y/n. He was never like this before. He wasn't even like this at their romantic dinner the night before. But Y/n got on with it and did what she wanted to do; dance.
As she lost herself in the music, a man managed to gather the courage and make his way towards her. "Hey gorgeous." The stranger smiled, dancing along with Y/n. Since Carlos was surrounded by these stupid instagram models, the least Y/n could do was talk to a guy surely. "Hey." Their conversation continued until the topic of relationships came up, to which Y/n said that she had a boyfriend.
"I don't see him." The stranger grinned, leaning closer. "Well, you see that guy up there with the huge bottle of champagne?" The guy nodded. "That's my boyfriend. Carlos. He just won the Grand Prix a few hours ago." The stranger looked between the spaniard and Y/n. "He looks occupied." He said, referring to the hoard of girls surrounding him. "Honestly, who gives a fuck. The only reason he won it was because Red Bull had a fuck up." The man laughed at Y/n's drunken joke, but she couldn't help but feel bad for undermining her boyfriend's hard work.
As she swayed with her newfound dance partner, Carlos watched from afar, a twinge of jealousy gnawing at him. His strides became purposeful, marching towards the dancing couple. His vision blurry, he poked the stranger. He turned. "Hey, you're Y/n's boyfriend. How you doing man?" He asked, putting his hand out. Carlos slapped it away. "Yeah, whatever. Who are you?" Y/n arched a brow at the sudden rudeness of Carlos. "I've been talking to Y/n since you've been occupied." He joked. "Are you accusing me of cheating on my girlfriend?"
"Carlos, what the fuck?" Y/n asked. "I didn't mean to-"
"No, no, I know what you want and you're not going to get it." Carlos began shoving the guy. "Because when I go back to my hotel room, I'm going to have her on her knees and screaming my name, while you sit by yourself with your left hand doing all the work-"
Carlos was silenced by a hard thump to the face, that ended with both his lip and nose bleeding. Carlos stumbled back, holding his nose. "Carlos!" Y/n rushed to his side, concern etched across her face. "Carlos, we need to leave. This is getting out of hand." He pushed her away, his drunken gaze defiant. "I don't need you. I can handle myself." Ignoring her, he swung at the guy, completely missing him and falling to the floor. "Carlos, we're going." Y/n repeated, this time more stern. Carlos scoffed and despite the chaos, Y/n managed to guide Carlos outside and hailed a cab. The ride home was tense, filled with silence interrupted only by the distant sounds of the city nightlife.
As Y/n scanned their key card, Carlos lay against the wall beside the door, looking at Y/n with pure hatred in his eyes. "You're such a bitch sometimes." He muttered. Y/n turned to him. "Excuse me?" The door beeped and Carlos practically burst it down. "You heard me. You're You're a bitch sometimes." Y/n closed the door behind her and followed Carlos to the bed where he kicked off his shoes. "How am I a bitch? People were filming you and I don't think you want to answer to your PR people tomorrow morning." Y/n rolled her eyes and sat down on the sofa, taking her heels off promptly. "Okay? You're still a bitch. I could have taken him."  Y/n's frustration bubbled over as she demanded an explanation. "Carlos, what's going on? Why are you acting like this?"
Carlos glared at her, venom in his words. "I'm tired of this, Y/n. I don't want you in my life anymore." Stunned, Y/n pleaded. "Carlos, what are you tired of? We don't argue ever. Please, let's talk about it in the morning. You're drunk, and we can figure things out then." But Carlos was resolute. "No, I want you gone now. Pack your things and leave." Her eyes flickered as a few tears had fallen.
"You're so shit at this mate!" Max cackled, taking another sip of his beer whilst Pierre missed yet another goal on FIFA. The hotel room was filled with laughter as a few drivers had finished their clubbinv prematurely to instead play a few games of FIFA. The camaraderie and banter echoed through the room, creating a light atmosphere that temporarily eased the pressures of the racing world. Amid the gaming frenzy, a sudden knock on the door disrupted the jovial mood. "I'll get it." Charles said, walking towards the door. He expected some food from room service since they paid for it, but instead he was surprised to find Y/n Verstappen standing there, tears streaming down her face. "Hi, Charles." She sniffled.
"Y/n. Are you okay? What happened?" Charles asked, genuine concern etched on his face. Y/n, struggling to compose herself, managed to choke out. "Is Max here?"
Charles nodded, realizing something serious must have transpired. He stepped aside, allowing Y/n to enter the room. "Max? It's Y/n." The laughter hushed as the other drivers sensed the shift in the atmosphere. Max stood up. "Y/n? What's wrong?" A few words had been spoken in Dutch and it seemed that each word Y/n said, made Max angrier. The other drivers simply watched on, wanting to see what happened. "Where is he?" Max demanded in a demanding tone. "Max, please don't. That's the last thing I need tonight." Y/n pleaded. "No, I'm getting dad and we are sorting this." Max replied. "Max, no! He'll kill him!"
"And I will bury him. Don't worry about it." The drivers shared glances amongst one another as the siblings had run out of the room, closing the door behind them. "Are we going to see what happens or what?" Charles asks. "Seems like family stuff. I am leaving them to it." Pierre replied. "Seems logical." Lando added. Charles groaned as he left the room, following the sounds of loud shouting in both Dutch and English.
He looked down to see two figures banging on Carlos' door. "You don't treat my sister like this!" Max shouted as Y/n pulled from his arm, trying to deter him. "Max! Stop!" Charles shouted, trying to mediate, urging everyone to calm down. "If someone did this to your sister, you'd you'd the same!" Max shouted back at Charles. "Max! Not here! There are people trying to sleep." Charles said, reasoning with the dutchman. The commotion drew the attention of hotel staff and even a few curious guests. "Get out here, you fucking pussy!" Max had begun kicking the door now, not caring if it broke and deciding he'd worry about it if the door did break. The chaos continued until Max's father, joined the fray. The yelling and banging intensified, creating a scene that could be heard throughout the hotel.
Eventually, the rage subsided, as everyone agreed that Carlos must have passed out drunk and that it was a conversation best having in the morning. Max and Jos walked away as Charles stood by Y/n, tear-stained and emotionally drained. "Do you have a place to stay?" Charles asked. "I'm sure your brother wouldn't mind letting you stay." Y/n shook her head. "No. They're playing FIFA I don't want to have to kick them all out." Y/n replied. "Then I'll let you have my bed and Ill sleep on the floor." Charles offered. She smiled. "As nice as you're being right now, I don't need your pity. Im just going to fall asleep in my room and deal with this in the morning." She said. "Y/n, you can't possibly do that. I wouldn't wouldn't sleep in the same bed as him. You deserve better." Before Charles could even trg to convince her, she opened the door, re-entered her and Carlos' hotel room and closed it again without another word.
She had moved on from Carlos. In all honesty, she hadn't heard a lot from him. That was until she had come to her first Grand Prix single in 8 years. It felt weird not having someone to hold hands with, but she got on with it, showing her poker face and pretending not to care about her recent breakup. As she walked, she noticed an all too familiar spaniard, holding a gorgeous woman in his arms. It was a model, a model Y/n had seen on the catwalk of the Ferrari fashion event. That's where they must have met...back when Carlos was still in a relationship with Y/n. And that's how she found herself hiding like a kid scared of the dark, in between the Red Bull and Ferrari hospitality where no one could find her.
"Are you okay?" Y/n jumped as she wiped her eyes. "I- yeah. I'm fine. Who are-" She paused as she looked up to see Charles walking towards her. "What are you doing here?" Charles asked. "Inspecting the tyres, you?" Y/n replied quickly, drying her eyes. "Talking with the tyre inspector." Charles replied, sitting down next to her. Y/n looked up, her eyes swollen but grateful for the company. "Why are you crying?" Charles asked. "It's just-" Yhe tears had started again. "Carlos' new girlfriend is so much prettier, and she's so much skinnier and her hair is different, her eyes are different, we are just nothing alike and Carlos is just so happy with her." Y/n sobbed. Charles wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer to him as her tears stained his red shirt. "He's moved on and I'm sat, befriending stacks of tyres."
"Well that's not true. I'm not a stack of tyres, am I?" Y/n chuckled at the light hearted joke Charles had made. "No, no you're not." She replied. "You seem to be much nicer to talk to than a set of tyres, to be fair." Unbeknownst to her, Charles had been silently witnessing the intricate dance of emotions unfolding in the paddock. His infatuation with Y/n had started years ago, at one of Max's early kart races.
"Charles, you cut me off there! You could've caused a crash," Max argued, frustration evident in his voice. Charles, eager to impress Y/n, tried to maintain composure. "Max, I had the racing line! You should've anticipated my move." He chuckled, looking over to Y/n subtly to see her reaction. "Anticipated? You came out of nowhere!" Max shot back. As Charles vehemently defended his position, Y/n couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. She expected a spirited rivalry, but Charles's insistence on being right grated on her nerves.
"Charles, back down. You know I'm right." Max urged, trying to defuse the tension. Yet, Charles, fueled by both competitiveness and a desire to impress, doubled down. "Max, I won't back down when I'm right." The harder Charles pushed, the more Y/n saw a side of him she didn't like. She began to see why Max always yelled about how much of a diclhead Charles was and she fully agreed now. "Charles, seriously, I will be to the stewards about it." Max insisted, the frustration evident in his tone. But Charles, in his pursuit of proving himself, didn't heed the advice. As the argument escalated, Y/n couldn't help but feel a growing distaste for Charles.
"You know what, Charles? Forget it. We're done talking," Max declared, grabbing his helmet and walking away with Y/n behind him. "Hij is een klootzak." Y/n muttered. "Ah, dus nu zie je die kant van hem?"
"Why are you even here? Don't you hate me?" Y/n asked, too tired to move her head from his shoulder. Charles sighed. "I never hated you, Y/n. You started hating me so I pretended to hate you back." Her brow furrowed in confusion. "But you always seemed so distant, so cold." Charles cast his gaze downward, confessing, "I didn't want Max to think I was interfering. I liked you from when I was in karting, but you started dating Carlos and I just gave up."
"I wish I had known, Charles," Y/n admitted, wiping away tears. "I could've used a friend." Charles offered a reassuring smile. "Well, you have one now. And if you'll let me, maybe more than just a friend." She sighed. "As much as I would love to, I just don't think I'm ready to have a boyfriend, let alone date my ex's teammate." Y/n replied. "That's fine. He's out of a Ferrari seat for next year anyway." Y/n smiled. "Listen, I don't care how long it takes. I've waited like what, 15 years already? I may as well hold on for another while."

"I can still be useful" Alastor told himself as he straightened the lapels on his jacket, "She still needs me."
Alastor leaned into the mirror, slicking his hair back just the slightest bit.
"Yes." he nodded to his reflection.
Taking a deep breath, Alastor stepped out into the hall. He didn't know why he was so nervous. Y/n had never caused anxiety to rule his being before, so why was it happening now?
Since her arrival at the hotel, she had stayed locked in her room. Two whole days had gone by and the demon avoided everyone and everything. It was not unexpected or out of the blue, she had always favored her own company above anyone else's but, Charlie was growing tense. She had asked Alastor to help bring their newest guest out of her shell, hoping their shared past would cause his attempts to be more fruitful than her own had been. For some odd reason, Alastor had agreed.
Fondness was the trouble. He was fond of Charlie, and he had always had a bit of a soft spot for Y/n. She had been his wife for christ's sake, there was no way he couldn't have fostered some sort of affection for the wildly brilliant and creative girl.
Before he really realized it, Alastor was at the door to Y/n's room. She had taped a sheet of loose leaf to the door. Keep Out had been written on it in all caps, in her familiar, messy handwriting. Alastor's smile softened slightly at the sight.
Y/n had not haunted his thoughts, had not been an obsession, since his arrival in Hell. While he had recalled her with warmth and a slight smile, even looked for her in Hell on occasion, she had mostly stayed out of his mind after his death. Alastor had had bigger things to deal with, more important occupations of his time. He had had plans. He still had plans but, everything had seemed to change the second Y/n had appeared and nearly flat out told him she didn't care about him.
Alastor was nothing if not prideful. His image, his sense of self, his power, it all played in to the idea of himself in his head. He had figured that through the years of their arrangement, the strange woman had come to harbor some sort of affection for him as he did her. He had figured she at least cared for him as a friend, that her irritation had been friendly, playful even. Clearly, he had been incorrect.
The door suddenly swung open revealing Y/n. She wore an cross expression, a lab coat, and safety goggles. Peering over her shoulder into the room, Alastor noted the way her hair was still continuing whatever she'd been working on before opening the door. He had never seen a demon with a form like hers before. It was perfectly suited, equally unusual as the soul it housed.
"I could feel you standing out here."
Alastor raised his eyebrows, bravado taking over.
"Really, my dear?" he asked, leaning on his microphone before him as if it were a cane.
"Yeah." Y/n flatly replied, lifting the goggles from their eyes and pushing them onto their forehead, "What do you want?"
"I..."
What did he want? Alastor was a man who always knew his goals, his aims. He was always working towards something, no deed without its purpose. It was only now he realized that he didn't really know what he wanted from Y/n, why he had really agreed to fulfill Charlie's request with nothing given in return. Alastor cleared his throat, banishing the complicated thought to another time.
"Charlie requested I come speak to you about your lack of participation in the hotel's group activities."
Y/n raised her eyebrows.
"And you care what I do with my time because...?"
She tilted her head slightly to the side, her hands still on either side of the doorframe, blocking him from entering the room. Alastor sighed.
"You're not going to make this an easy conversation, are you."
It was a statement, not a question, and a slight smile cracked across Y/n's tired face.
"You know me so well." she joked lightly.
Alastor was ready, preparing himself to have to force his way into the room to have this chat. He saw the way her hand on the door twitched, and prepared himself to have it slammed in his face. Much to his surprise, Y/n let go of her hold on the door and stepped to the side.
"Are you just gonna stand there or are you going to come in?" she asked after a moment, her head cocked to the side in a genuine curiosity.
Alastor nearly laughed. Always so inquisitive with regards to the world around her, always trying to fill the gaps in her understanding, usually at a loss when it came to what was considered normal interaction. He stepped into the room. Y/n's hair stopped what it was doing with the test tubes in the back and closed the door for her as she turned to face him. After a look of appraisal, she seemed to decide the atmosphere for the conversation and sat down on the bed, patting the empty space beside her at Alastor's continued hesitation. He sat down and she crossed her legs, watching him intently.
"You need to stop avoiding people, and the activities. You are here to be redeemed, aren't you?"
"Oh! I see what the issue is." Y/n smiled brightly, "No, I'm not."
Alastor's brow furrowed. He had thought it odd that Y/n of all people would seek redemption but, had figured the time had simply changed her in ways he had yet to grasp.
"Then why are you here?"
The little beast called hope clawed at the inside of his stomach, gnawed on his ribs. The want was unfamiliar.
"Because I need an angel."
Alastor froze.
"You need..." he watched her in confusion, "you need an angel?"
"Yep." Y/n nodded in earnest.
She smiled up at him, evidently satisfied with herself and her response. She had always been like this. Alastor sighed.
"Why?"
"Because I need to test my virus on one, duh."
"Y/n, what are you planning."
"Same thing as always. Actually, I could use your help. Maybe this isn't all so bad, can you get me an angel? Just at the next extermination or something. I already know it works on demons, I just don't want to actually let my little baby loose without knowing it will work on the angels as well."
"Jesus, Y/n." Alastor laughed lightly, unable to not.
He shook his head in disbelief and Y/n's smile slipped from her face. She was always scheming, always wanting, always doing what it took to ensure she got what she wanted. They were so alike in that way: complete and utter disregard for the world unless it served them.
"What? Did I do something wrong? Did this hotel already work? Have the exterminations stopped?"
"No, I... you really haven't changed."
"Well, I'm taking out the afterlife now instead of the living world, but sure." Y/n crossed her arms, evidently irritated by his remark, "I'm just the same. So are you, by the way. I've heard about what you've been up to since you died."
Alastor was silent in thought for a moment before he spoke again. He looked at Y/n with a determined gaze.
"Are you asking to reinstate our deal?"
Y/n was wrong, Alastor had changed, she just didn't know it yet. The hotel had changed him, whether or not he wanted to admit it. He realized the answer to Y/n's initial question, what it was that he wanted, in that moment and there were only three things. The first was the same as it had been for the last seven years, to get rid of this damned contract he was under. The second? The second he had realized earlier, in his room when he'd been getting ready to come to Y/n, he just hadn't liked it and so, he had ignored it. Alastor wanted to be back in her good books. More importantly, for some undefinable reason, Alastor wanted her back at his side. The world, he had realized, had felt empty without her, no matter how irritating and distracting she could be. Though his motivations were muddy, figuring out the reason for the want was never the priority. The end goal was to fulfill by any means necessary. It always had been, for both of them. The third was that Alastor secretly wanted Charlie's crazy plan to work out. He wanted to protect these sinners, to protect this place they had all worked so hard to build.
There was a point of intersection to be found in two of these three things, if Y/n answered his question correctly. Taking out sinners, taking an angel, could let all hell loose on the hotel. Convincing Y/n to make a deal with him, to give Alastor her soul, well, that would be killing two birds with one stone. He would have his imperfect little companion in afterlife and he could stop her from doing any more damage to the hotel and its reputation than necessary to ensure the first thing took place.
"I suppose."
That was exactly what he had been hoping to hear. The first deal had been under her terms. Alastor had been hoodwinked into it, unable to turn it down due to the information on him she had uncovered. Now, the tables had turned. Alastor held his hand out towards her, grinning malevolently.
"How about this, let's make a new one."
"I don't see why not." Y/n shrugged after having thought it over, her hand meeting his, "Things are different, we're both dead. The old one wouldn't really work anymore."
"No, it wouldn't, would it?"
"Yeah so, you get me an angel to test this on. I start participating more in the hotel. Deal?"
"How about this." Alastor's grin widened, his antlers growing as well as his shadows ate away at the room's walls.
Y/n didn't flinch. Nothing in her expression changed save a slight twinge of intrigue as she watched him become more monstrous by the second, more all consuming.
"I help you get an angel. You stick by my side, like the old days. That would include participation in the hotel and all of Charlie's plans as it is where I work for now. A metaphorical taking of a soul rather than a heart, shall we say."
He was counting on her lack of interest in the world outside of science right now, counting on her lack of understanding of how things worked in Hell when an overlord offered a deal like this. He had chosen the words carefully, getting everything right while keeping the truth hidden.
"I'll still have time to work on my project?" she asked skeptically.
"When there is time."
Y/n smiled.
"Deal."
Green smoke wound its way out from the point their palms met. Y/n watched it, eyes wide with intrigue as it curled around them, temporarily filling the room.
"Is that what happens when deals get made in Hell?" Y/n asked as she let go of Alastor's hand.
"Only certain ones."
"Cool."
She got to her feet, snapping her goggles back over her eyes. Turning to the table, she began to fiddle with her test tubes once again. Alastor retook his normal form, watching her with a satisfied smirk. He summoned the chain, feeling the cool shadow of the mellow across his fingers. Y/n seemed not to notice as the collar formed around her neck. Alastor didn't like that, didn't like being ignored. He gave it a tug and she stumbled back a few steps, her hands flying to her throat and her hair catching the glass beaker she had nearly dropped.
Y/n noticed the chain now. It was impossible not to. As her hair set the beaker down, she turned to Alastor, eyes fixed on the glowing metal. Her gaze traced it from where she held it to his hands. Y/n looked up at him.
"What's this?" she asked, eyes narrowed slightly in suspicion, "When did this get here? How..."
She trailed off and Alastor's smile grew wider still. He advanced towards her, wrapping the excess chain around the handle of his microphone. It clinked menacingly against itself, spawning a sudden deep seated dread in Y/n.
She held her place, her shoulders thrown back and feet planted firmly. Alastor couldn't tell if it was all a show or if she really was not at all scared of him in that moment. He didn't really care, it didn't matter. She stared intently up at him in defiance as Alastor came to a stop about a half a foot away.
"Well?"
"Oh my sweet, you really have no idea what you've gotten yourself in to, do you?"
It was better than he could have hoped, could have dreamed. She was entirely under his control.
"Welcome to the rest of your afterlife."

becoming infatuated with the infirmary nurse after getting socked in the face by your own teammate. just a regular ol' day in blue lock. wc: 0.8k
Tumblr media
rin stepped into the infirmary with blood-stained tissues held up to his aching nose. he heard the sound of anri closing the door behind him as he looked up to see you sitting on a desk, writing something down.
both of you guys were very surprised to see each other, though for very different reasons. rin’s mind flooded with different questions. who is this? why is there someone about his age in the infirmary? is this the person who’s supposed to fix his nose? there’s no way.
you immediately stood up from your chair and walked up to him, staring at his nose.
“oh god, what happened to you?”
“i don’t wanna talk about it,” he grumbled. getting kneed in the nose by shidou was already humiliating enough. how was he supposed to share it with his supposed doctor who looked young enough to be his classmate.
“that’s perfectly okay. we don’t have to discuss it right now. just sit down over there.”
he sat down on the paper-covered infirmary bed you gestured to and eyed you suspiciously as you took some gloves out and put them on.
“you seem way too young to be doing this,” he said almost accusatorially.
“oh me? i’m just a part of a program my school is doing for colleges. i joined since i plan to study sports medicine,” you said as you moved your chair over and sat in front of him to feel the bridge of his nose, making rin flinch from the unexpected touch and slight pain.
“they really hired a teenager for this?” rin questioned, shifting his eyes away from your focused look on his nose. he tried to keep his focus off the unfamiliar feeling of a hand on his face as he felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him from letting another person around his age do this. still, he complied, not wanting to inconvenience you or him
“hey! i’m very experienced in this, alright? besides, the person supervising me isn’t here right now,” you then leaned in closer to whisper, “and between you and me, this whole establishment here seems mad shady. however, it was one of the few places that were willing to pay me for this so i won’t be complaining.” you shrugged as you finished checking his nose, mentally noting his sudden quietness.
“ok so luckily, it’s only a minor fracture -i’m assuming from blunt trauma- so you’ll need to wear a splint for about a week, then you should be good to go.”
he simply nodded, staying silent as you rolled your chair to the desk to get some things out of the drawers. you then scooted back in front of him.
“ok rin, can you tilt your head back for me?”
he did as you said, feeling his palms getting clammy for reasons unknown to him. he instinctively squeezed his eyes shut in, anticipating any pain, when you pinched his nose's bridge to ensure it was aligned beforehand. the feeling of your fingers gently but firmly moving his chin back into place whenever he slightly moved was fleeting yet brought him an unfamiliar and uneasy sensation to his stomach.
halfway through, he opened his eyes to see your focused face working. he felt way too awkward to close them again so he was stuck staring right at you, unintentionally gazing at all your features. his overwhelming nervousness practically overtook the pain of the splint being applied and inserted into his nose.
“alright, there! you’re all done now and you’re free to leave,” you declared. rin unconsciously let out a huge sigh of relief before you stopped him from getting up.
“wait hold on.” you took off your gloves and pressed the back of your hand on his forehead, feeling an unusual amount of heat. “are you feeling feverish in any way?”
“no, i’m not,” he answered a lot more shakily and less audible than he wished. god, he really wanted to crawl into a hole right now.
“hmm okay,” you hummed to yourself while observing the flush on his face that he seemingly wasn’t aware of. you then took another glance at him and all the suspicion and concern instantly left your eyes, replaced with something else. a slight smile creeping on your lips. “oh i see… well rin, you can go back now.”
the sudden switch in your tone surprised him but he nodded and got up quickly to head to the door, wanting to leave before his mind could process all these feelings.
when he was already out in the hallway, you rushed to the door and called out for him. “wait, one last thing rin!” your voice made him immediately stop in his tracks to turn and look at you.
“next time, try to avoid picking fights with your own teammates,” you said with a knowing grin, watching the flush on his face deepen, “yeah, i saw the footage. good luck out there and stay safe, number 1.”
you went back inside the infirmary, shutting the door behind you, leaving him out and alone in the hallway. rin sighed and turned around, wondering how he was supposed to return with his face looking like this.

Chapter 10 - ‘You’re Mine’
You sat on your apartment floor in a pile of your clothes. What the hell do you bring to visit a boy… in another country… for an unspecified amount of time. Lingerie was the first thing in your suitcase but like… what else?
Trent had been kind enough to organize everything for you so you really only had to lock up your apartment, he had gotten everything sorted down to a car picking you up and bringing you to the airport. You had an inkling it was more likely Tyler orchestrating the logistics but Trent was the one relaying the information to you. No matter, it was incredibly thoughtful.
He had booked you a hotel suite down near the Liverpool waterfront because you had mentioned that you had liked staying near there before during previous visits to the city. It was unsaid but assumed you’d more than likely be in Trent’s bed anyways but you didn’t want to pressure him or bother him after a match day and he hadn’t wanted you to presume this was a trip solely to get his dick wet. It also occurred to both of you that Trent lived with his family. It was comforting to him, something he loved, something you actually found endearing, and as much as you got along with his brothers, throwing you into the family home seemed like a big ask.
There were a lot of uncertainties about the trip… the most glaringly obvious, the length. You and Trent both just wanted to be back together so you hadn’t really set a return date. You were off and on your way to England tomorrow. You couldn’t exactly uproot your life for a man you hadn’t known for that long, let alone explain to your family that you suddenly had struck up a whirlwind romance with the Trent Alexander-Arnold but your return to New York was still TBD.
To be honest, your dad might be thrilled at the idea of the potential access to Anfield and return to his home country but you were a daddy’s girl so moving countries might throw him for a loop. Your mom, well.. she’d miss you but you having a boyfriend, no matter the location, would just make her life complete. That was another thing… you were so excited to visit ‘your Trent’ but he wasn’t your boyfriend really so what was this to him? You had told most people who needed to know your whereabouts that you were going to England to visit a friend, you’d be going to Liverpool for a game which you had done before… purposely avoiding the details though that seeing a player was the sole reason you were being flown out. You wanted to keep it hush until it was official with him or god forbid… if it were to all fizzle out. Your head was spinning when your best friend FaceTimed you breaking the trepidation.
“Are you even going to pack clothes?” She joked before even saying hello to you.
“Rude…. I am, but honestly haven’t got a clue what yet… I want to look good but not try too hard. I wanna be hot for him but I’ll also be with his family so the lines are a little blurry.” You began to rant, panicking. You initially had asked Trent what to pack but his response was zero help.
“You look amazing in anything… but I also want you in nothing.. so” he joked, providing no assistance during a recent phone call.
Despite everything being done for you, the trip was still a little overwhelming. The plan was to fly into Manchester, Trent insisting that Tyler pick you up because he wasn’t able to get you himself because his match was that day. Tyler would drive you to your hotel, check you in, let you settle in and then he and Marcel would grab you a bit later on to head to the stadium for the game so you could see Trent. After that…not a clue what was in store but you could only imagine it would involve little to no clothing… heavily depending on if you were able to manage to stay awake after the long day.
It all sounded so seamless but after a 7 hour flight, the idea of going to a packed season opener at Anfield and attempting to look presentable after not seeing your man for over a month was stressing you out. Trent didn’t really think that this was, rather the reunion would be exciting, fun, and romantic.
“Okay, okay… I’m thinking you have to go with basics right? Like heels, boots, a sneaker, jeans, white tee, and then obviously have to bring all the gifts and shit he’s sent you..” your best friend was trying to be practical and she was right. Just simple, like your first date, hot but comfortable.
“Yeah, okay, smart. Weather is kind of weird there… like if I need a jacket… I need to think a little more. Maybe I’ll shop when I’m there when he’s busy like at training…”
“You shop? Let him shop! He’s clearly not opposed to buying you things! Also… you’re going to the north of England not a deserted island. I hope you shop when you’re there.”
“I’m not letting him do that… he’s gotta chill with the..” you stopped your own sentence “oh my god! There’s a Selfridges in Manchester… wow I totally forgot. Ugh I can’t wait for that.” You were drooling at the idea of bringing those yellow shopping bags home, forgetting the current task at hand.
“Wow, yeah… I miss that place.” Your friend also getting lost for a second.
“Fuck! Focus Y/N.” You said aloud to yourself. “I need to pack now. I’m hanging up. You’re not as helpful as I needed you to be!” You poked fun sarcastically at your friend who had actually been helpful.
“Love you! Let me know when you you take off, land, fuck him, you know the important things” she cooed cheekily.
You managed to finish packing. An incredibly heavy full suitcase that barely zipped closed and a burgundy Goyard Saint Louis tote bag stuffed full of flight essentials; passport, charger, headphones, just the usual.
You hadn’t realized until you were in line for security rereading your ticket but you were pleased when you realized you were in first class and you had access to a lounge. You texted Trent an update as if he hadn’t planned your entire itinerary for the next 24 hours.
“Text me before you take off, baby 😘” he responded.
“I will 😘 going to see you so sooon… absolutely insane”
“Getting impatient” he texted, always managing to make you smile, make you feel wanted. So you boarded the plane, tucked into your seat with a smile and a warm feeling in your chest. You picked a movie, popped in your headphones and prayed for a safe flight and the ability to get some rest during it.
While you were in transit, Trent was busy with pre-match preparations and also ultimately getting ready for your arrival. He was so excited he couldn’t sit still, pacing around his house. He hadn’t really shut up about you over the past few weeks, more often than not talking to his mum, knowing she could keep a secret. He didn’t want to over share with his friends, teammates and brothers because he was well aware how whipped he was for you and they would no doubt give him shit. That said, he didn’t exactly hide his obsession all that well.
“I’m sorry I can’t make it to the match tonight, sweetheart” Dianne sincerely apologized to Trent standing in the kitchen that morning. She had a prior commitment she couldn’t get out of unfortunately. It didn’t really bother Trent, she had seen more minutes of him on the pitch than anyone but it also meant that it would postponing your meeting.
“Mum, really it’s fine… besides I’m getting a little nervous about who's all in the box tonight.” He said anxiously.
“You shouldn’t be nervous… you invited her and she wanted to come.” Dianne knew he was referring to you being in the box.
“I know I never say this….” Trent sighed leaning his forehead against the refrigerator door. “What if I play bad and she gets like the ick.”
“The ick?” Dianne perplexed by the term.
“Yeah, like the ick…” Trent poorly and inadvertently didn’t explain so Dianne moved on.
“Trenty, it’s just another normal night.” She tried to reassure him like he was still her little boy.
“She is flying to another country… for me.” Trent said initially with some fear but his own words actually had instilled some confidence in him. You were flying to see him. You didn’t have to do this, you wanted to.
Trent had to leave to meet with the team, start the whole process of match day so he gathered all his things, said goodbye to his mum, and made his way to the driveway. He stopped in his tracks half way to his car trying to remember if he had made his bed, hoping that tonight he could convince you to come sleep with him instead of your hotel. The thought of you back in his arms had him eager for the final whistle before kick off even happened.
You woke up with about a half an hour left in your flight. By the time you gathered yourself you had landed in Manchester. You were going to text Trent but you didn’t want to bother him as it was getting closer to game time so you opted to text Tyler letting him know you had arrived. Customs wasn’t too long but you needed a few extra minutes in the bathroom to reapply some tinted moisturizer, fix your hair, spray some perfume, it was fine for now but you couldn’t wait to shower at the hotel.
“In arrival pickup, I'm refusing to hold a sign like Trent wanted so just look for my car…black Mercedes.” Tyler texted. It made you laugh, he clearly was just being a nice brother doing Trent a favor. He downplayed his car exponentially, it was a massive Mercedes G-Wagon, not exactly subtle, it was matte black with completely tinted windows. You easily spotted it and rolled your suitcase down the pavement. Tyler got out of the car, calling your name lowly. You greeted him warmly with a sweet ‘hi’ and a big hug.
“You okay? Flight was fine?” He questioned genuinely, taking your suitcase and putting it in the boot of his car.
“Yeah, yeah all good. Airports are just so stressful so thank you for handling everything. Obviously wasn’t T.” You teased and Tyler shrugged knowing that was incredibly accurate.
You opened the car door to find a little box wrapped neatly with a bow on the front seat. You picked it up to try to hand it to Tyler like it was his.
“Obviously, it’s for you. He wasn’t going to let you arrive without getting you something… be real for a minute.”
You giggled knowing it was true. Gifts were one of Trent’s love languages for sure. You shuffled around in the seat a little awkwardly at first fumbling with the box before putting it in your bag.
“Everything good?” Tyler asked, noticing as he started to pull out of the lane.
“Sorry, just haven’t driven over here in a minute, was confused for a second.” You giggled more readjusting to the roads.
“I don’t have anything comforting to say, just the way it is, the way it should be.” He teased you.
“Sure.. whatever you say.” You poked back rolling your eyes. Being American made for easy jokes.
“I told him I got you, he won’t be on his phone today really so if you don’t hear from Trent before don’t take it personally.” Tyler spoke unprompted.
“Oh… yeah? Thanks. I didn’t want to bother him. Don’t really know anything about match day protocol I guess…. I usually am a few pints in by this point.” He laughed at your honesty.
“We'll get you a drink eventually. But after… usually best bet is to let him come to us depending on the result. I know he’s embarrassingly excited to see you though so I’ll get you to him.” He said openly not taking his eyes off the road.
You arrived at the hotel and Tyler offered to help you check in but you assured him you could manage, he already had done a lot and had to come back for you in a little so you felt a little guilty taking up more of his time. He left once you gestured to him through the window you had successfully got your room key.
You got to your room and immediately collapsed on the bed not long before springing back up and practically ripping off your clothes thinking about getting airplane germs on the fresh bed. You swiftly made it to the shower immediately.
You wrapped yourself in a fluffy towel sat on the edge of the bed, trying to remember what you had planned to wear to the match tonight. You looked at your open suitcase, beauty products now covering the counter tops, the sweatshirt you wore on the plane spilling out of your Goyard when you spotted the little box Trent had left for you peaking out.
“Oh shit” you exclaimed out loud in the empty room recalling you hadn’t opened it yet. You pulled at the ribbon, unraveling the knot opening the lid to reveal a small velvet jewelry box. You popped it open to see a gold band, it was a classic ring but it had a raised block font with the letters ‘TAA’ pressed onto it. You liked how personal it was, you liked that he wanted you to wear his initials. There was a little card with his scribbled handwriting, nothing too grandiose, just simple.
‘Your TAA xx’
You slid the ring on and you felt like your heart could burst. Getting a ring from Trent caused your mind to fantasize at what other sort of ring he could eventually buy you. Calling himself yours made you smile uncontrollably too. You threw on a tank top and shorts to lay in bed for a moment telling people back home you arrived safely in England when your screen flashed with an incoming FaceTime.
“Guess where I ammmmm” you answered while sitting up a little in the bed. Your arm wrapped tightly around your chest in excitement seeing the gorgeous boys face grace the screen. Overjoyed considering Tyler’s warning you may not hear from him.
“Baby, I cannot believe you are so close right now.” Trent said beaming.
“Weird right?!” You giggled.
“You promise you’re actually coming tonight, you and Ty aren’t just messing with me?” He sounded more serious than he needed to be. You flipped your camera to face away from you showing him your dainty hand now fitted with the ring with his initials, the Liverpool waterfront visible from the window behind your fingers. Confirmation you were definitely here before turning the camera back to you.
“Promise, pretty boy!” You cooed “Cannot wait to see you tonight.”
“You cannot wait to kiss me.” He corrected you, his eyes dropping a little lower to your chest now.
“Mmm” You hummed to get his attention knowing that your tits were on display. “Don’t you have to focus, dial in?”
“I’m focused… trust me.” Trent said lustfully before snapping out of his gaze.
“I do actually have to run but just needed to make sure you got here safely.” He rambled.
“All safe” you smiled.
“If there’s a lot of stoppage time tonight, I’m going to be pissed. Need to see my baby.” He groaned
“See you tonighttt, my T” you practically sang your smile getting bigger at the thought before hanging up. You pulled yourself out of bed knowing that Tyler and Marcel would be coming to pick you up sooner than later and you had to get ready.
You went for light makeup, your hair in a middle part and down, natural. You slipped on some promiscuous lingerie inspecting how you looked in the mirror. Once you confirmed this looked like the right set for your first night back together you put on Trent’s jersey. The warm feeling returned in your chest. You were a fan before you’d ever met him but knowing this was his, from him, it just felt different and you couldn’t suppress the butterflies filling your stomach. You pulled it tucking it up into the band of your bra, a hack you did to crop the shirt showcasing your stomach.
You chose a pair of fitted leather pants, you knew your ass looked good in them. After a long internal debate you landed on a Barbour jacket, it seemed the most weather appropriate. Frankly, your shoe choice was impractical, committing your look so you went with a pair of tan suede pointed toed heeled boots. And of course, it would only be right to bring the Chanel bag Trent had got for you. You weren’t monogamous to silver or gold so you wore both metals dripping in a ton of jewelry. Grabbing your phone from the charger you double checked you had everything and stood in the mirror analyzing every aspect of your outfit but was interrupted by the unknown UK number calling your phone. You usually wouldn’t but you answered assuming, not surprised to hear a familiar scouse accent giving you shit for running behind.
“I’m sorry!! I’m coming right now” you sincerely apologized to Marcel on the other end of the phone rushing. You walked through the lobby adjusting your outfit when the lady who checked you in earlier friendly questioned you.
“Headed out to the game tonight hun?” She asked spotting you adjust the team jersey.
“Yep!” You said sweetly with a smile but trying to hurry along as to not hold up the boys any longer.
“They are a handsome lot, maybe you’ll find yourself a player to bring back.” She said quite cheekily but it was meant with good lighthearted intentions.
“Maybe…” you said smugly, slyly, little did she know your reality.
You jumped into the familiar big Mercedes back seat you were in mere hours ago.
“You’re aware it’s a footie match?” Marcel made fun of your over the top outfit. It really wasn’t, frankly, they just were in far more casual clothes.
“Yes, I do and your opinion is not important to me. I like my outfit. Thank you very much!” You quipped teasing back.
You were thankful you’d been to Anfield before because it was actually quite overwhelming arriving. You had entered in sectioned off areas but even so the two brothers weren’t exactly walking around going unnoticed at the stadium. You could feel people staring. It was loud, bustling, and being thrust into the close circle of families and friends of players had you feeling out of place. You had made your way into a box nestled high in the stadium. It actually vibrated from the fan curated atmosphere. Opposite of you, the boys were so relaxed, they looked to be completely at home, before offering you a pint as promised. Haphazardly they showed you around the suite, the seats, where things were gradually. The noise outside only grew when the team made their way onto the pitch to warm up.
Even though he was younger than you Marcel felt like he needed to keep an eye on you. He could sense your nerves so he put his hand on your shoulder gently and guided you out of the box into the open air seats overlooking the field.
“He’s number 66.” He said facetiously pointing obviously down at Trent. Your heart nearly stopped seeing him. He was actually focused on football now opposed to your tits on FaceTime earlier, striking the ball with ease, laughing a little.
He looked so beautiful. Under the floodlights, his skin was just glowing. He had aura… god, he just radiated a coolness. He was so subtly confident, so sexy. Your finger stroked over the raised letters of your new ring settling your rapid breath. You couldn’t peel your eyes away, it had been so long since you’ve seen him in the flesh and there he was but he was still so so far away.
In a moment, the crazed environment completely faded away when Trent lifted his head, inspecting the stands, combing through faces in the box till he landed on yours. That smile. Oh my god, that smile on his face had you completely falling apart inside. He sent a quick wink your way, still attempting to keep his concentration on the game. Although small, his acknowledgement calmed you feeling more comfortable, finally taking off your jacket, admittedly slightly shyly considering you were sitting with boys who shared the last name on your back.
“Uhhohh we got a fan” Tyler jeered.
“Ugh T, you’re so sexy. Please let me be a WAG” Marcel moaned in a terrible, but equally funny, American accent impersonating you.
“I hate you both” you said with no real conviction, your eyes refusing to break from watching Trent stretch, it was hot.. you couldn’t deny it.
You had relaxed, meeting a few people, drinking and laughing with his brothers, you were having fun. The starting eleven took their positions before kick off. Trent had made his way to the back right of the pitch that was closer to where you all were sat. There was a pause, a hum of anticipation for the match to begin but in the lull Trent turned to look for you once more. He found you much faster this time, pressing his hand to his lips, blowing you a kiss pointing up to you directly. You couldn’t wipe the smile off your face if you tried. It was bold, it was public, it was just for you. You were lost in the moment, looking longingly into the big brown eyes that felt miles away. You pushed your lips, pressing a kiss into the crisp air towards him. He smiled before putting his head back down to regain focus.
His brothers looked completely shocked at the interaction. Marcel’s hand gripped Tyler’s leg. They knew you two were into each other, it seemed to be serious, but never… never had they seen Trent break professionalism and do something so affectionate, not only in public, but on a massive stage. This game was at a fully packed stadium, broadcasted, spectated internationally and he without a single second of doubt was blowing a kiss to you.
The ref blew the whistle signaling the start of the match but also the start of something much more.
Thank you for continuing reading! DW smut will return! Let me know what you think!!!!!

"Babe... do you wanna wake up?"
You smiled at the soft tenderness coming from Wanda's lips. You heard her chuckle as you shook your head and covered yourself in the blanket.
"Come on, Detka..."
She tried again while pulling the blanket down. Or trying to. Your grip on it was much stronger than Wanda's, and she always failed to remember that in training, you never use your full strength. Your enhanced ability was unfair sometimes.
But right now, to catch some extra sleep, you'd show your fangs if you had to.
To anyone else...
To Wanda, it would only turn her on.
"Hey!" Wanda exclaimed as she let go of the blanket, causing you to grin. "It would not!"
"It so would!" You replied with your morning voice before you cleared your throat and rose from the bed. "Don't lie, sweetheart. You love my fangs. Everyone knows it." You leaned forward with sleep in your eyes and lips puckered, waiting for a kiss.
Wanda gladly kissed you before pulling back. "What do you mean everyone knows?" You rubbed your eyes and pretended not to hear your girlfriend. "What time is it?"
"Y/N, what do you mean everyone knows?"
You leaned back to your end table and lifted up your phone. 7:34 am. "Wanda!" You whined, ignoring her again. "We've been dating for over a year. I thought we agreed on no wake-ups before 8!" You dropped your phone as you flopped back onto the bed. Getting comfortable.
"Y/N what-"
"You scratch and crane your neck."
Wanda looks at your laying positioned, confused. You don't have to even look at Wanda to know that's she's pursing her lip in thought, trying to come up with a lie or a reason that disproves what everyone already knows.
"Trust me, babe." You lean up onto your elbows in your grey Avengers t-shirt and smile at Wanda. "It's cute, but when you do it every time my fangs are out and... people start to notice."
Your mind briefly reminds you of the time Sam cornered you and asked you how many times you used that move on the ladies.
When you didn't know what he was talking about, he then asked if you were using some Vampire magic to make Wanda react the way she was, but once again, you looked at him with confusion, forcing him to sigh and give up.
"They do?" She questioned in a hushed tone. "They do." You replied with some amount of care, not knowing whether Wanda was hurt or not.
She wasn't.
"Well, I can't help it if my girlfriend is a smoking hot vampire!" She looks at you with big eyes and a big smile. Leaning closer and closer. Wanda knows what she's doing. "You just want me to get up, don't you?"
"Is it working?"
It was.
You sighed and leaned up all the way to kiss Wanda before planting another one and another as your lips moved further down. "This isn't why I woke you up." Wanda struggled to say. "But it's more fun. Isn't it?" You replied, cocky as ever as you drugged your left fang down her soft neck.
However, Wanda was determined. She allowed one more kiss before moving away with blushed cheeks and a smile; she got up and went to her vanity mirror. Double checking her hair and neck... no markings this time.
But you figured that would change, especially since you saw Wanda in her complete outfit.
A red sundress with a floral print pattern and white vans that you knew she was wearing because you gifted them to her.
But deep down, you knew she'd change into her birks or boots soon enough.
You got up off the bed and made your way to stand behind Wanda as she looked up at you in the mirror. "Something on your mind, or shall I read it?" You raised an eyebrow at Wanda's words.
"You know I'm not so shy anymore, Wans. Maybe I want you to read it. See what we could be doing."
Wanda bit her bottom lip before shaking her head as she looked away. She lost the battle but remained strong. She turned around and looked up at you. "We could do that now or save for later at the cabin."
Your smile quickly went away as your face grew confused. "Cabin?" Wanda nodded her head. "Cabin." She repeated. "For us?" She nodded again. "I figured it would be fun. We don't have a mission until next week."
Wanda got up from her chair before standing up onto it. Now, you looked up at her as she looked down at you with a smile. Her green eyes shining bright. "It'll be fun." You wrapped your arms around her lower back. Being very mindful of where your hands were at.
"It's near a lake. Which I know you don't like to swim, but maybe I could convince you." You tilted your head as you smiled, looking at Wanda. "Oh yeah?" She nodded. "The cabin has a hot tub..." She leaned down as you lifted your chin above her breast. "We'll be alone, and who knows.. what.. could.. happen." Wanda lightly bit your neck as her breath touched your ear.
You could feel your own heartbeat pump faster as Wanda moved her head and planted her pink lips on your own. "When do we leave?" You whispered into the small amount of room separating the two of you. "Get dressed and packed, and we'll be gone, baby."
You kissed Wanda and gave her butt a little tap before getting packed in record time.
Of course, by the time Wanda double-checked everything you packed, you were ready to go.
_
"You never had s'mores?"
You shook your head as Wanda grabbed a bag of marshmallows. She gave you a look and moved her hand up and down your back as she placed the fluffy treats into the cart.
It was times like these when Wanda was reminded about how much Hydra took from you. From Wanda as well, but whereas Wanda was immediately given a culture shock after joining the Avengers, you were more slow in your progress.
So when Wanda casually mentioned the first time Pietro tried to make s'mores with Steve and Sam but ended up burning the roof of his mouth, you had no idea what she meant.
It did make you sad. You weren't going to lie. Not experiencing something as simple as a s'more until your girlfriend made damn sure of it was a little embarrassing. But you knew that deep down it was alright.
Plus, the soft touch of Wanda's hand gliding itself up and down your shirt was a level of comfort no one else would ever experience.
"What else do we need?" You stopped the cart off the side and looked at the list in Wanda's hand.
According to the GPS in Wanda's car, you two were twenty minutes away from the cabin as you passed through a small town. Wanda figured the cabin she was renting wouldn't be stocked with anything, so here you two were. In a market, shopping for things like s'mores and whatever else Wanda wanted to make.
It was very domestic. Something you and Wanda never thought you would have. But now that it was here. You both couldn't imagine life without the other.
Wanda looked up at you and smiled. "I love you."
Your eyes went from the list to Wanda's green eyes. "I love you too." Your smile grew wide as you quickly gave Wanda a peck.
"Chicken." Wanda then said. Huh? "Chicken?" Wanda nodded and took the lead as she started moving the cart. "I just remembered the cabin has a grill. We can make Chicken- oh shoot, we need spices too!" Wanda then turned the corner, leaving you standing in the aisle.
Yep. You couldn't imagine your life without her.
_
"It's beautiful, Wanda!"
You and Wanda set the last of the grocery bags onto the kitchen counter. The place fitted the vibe of you, Wanda, perfectly. It was a two-story modern wood cabin. It had a fireplace in the sunken in living room. The place had four rooms. Making you question why Wanda would pick such a spacious place, but when you really took a look at the kitchen, you understood. Stainless steel appliances. A long kitchen island. It had a bar set up and a drink cart along a wall. It had one of those fridges where you could look inside without opening the door. As well as a bunch of other stuff you never understood.
But watching Wanda get excited as she unloaded the groceries made you smile.
You made your way to the sliding glass back door and looked out to see the fire pit and grill Wanda was talking about. You tuned your head and saw the hot tub as well. All of it was surrounded by foliage and designed beautifully with stone in the landscape. The backyard then backed up to a wooded area with a walkway down to the lake that you could see from the upstairs bedroom.
"Thank you for this." You wrapped your arms around the front of Wanda as she stopped organizing the spices. "I figured we both needed it." You nodded and kissed the side of her face. "Have I ever told you that you're the smartest Avenger?" Wanda shook her head and smiled. "Don't have to tell me something I already know." That made the two of you laugh before she turned her head and kissed you. "Let me finish here, and then we can take a walk to the lake. How does that sound?"
"Perfect."
_
"I can't believe how cold the water is!"
You look at Wanda in her dress, carrying her Birkenstocks with her feet covered in sand.
"No one told you to put your feet in Wans." You said with a smile, knowing you'd get a reaction. "I tripped, and you know that!" You raised your eyebrows and made a face. "So the smartest Avenger is the clumsiest?" Wanda playfully glares at you. "I could use my powers and have you above the lake in two seconds."
You nod. "Yeah, but what good is-"
You stop dead in your tracks and turned back to Wanda. "Did you hear that?" Wanda looks at you and then around the wooded area. "Hear what?" She thinks you're joking, but her smile fades when she sees your face.
You turn your body as you hear the noise again.
"Babe?" Wanda asks, but you ignore her as you tune your ears to locate where the crying is coming from. "It's this way." You point your finger in a direction off the trail. "Okay..." Wanda looks at you. "What is it?"
She starts putting her shoes back on while she thinks about how she should've grabbed her boots.
But who brings boots to the lake?
"I'm not sure what it is... but it's small and hurt." Wanda nods and puts on a determined look. "Let's go." She lets you lead the way as you step off the trail through the woods.
After a few minutes of searching, Wanda speaks up. "This would probably be easier if you could turn into a bat." You playfully roll your eyes. "That's your answer to your everything. You and Pietro's." You laugh, making your girlfriend laugh. "You know, technically, he's older than me."
You nodded. You knew.
Pietro always made a point to tell you.
Wanda was about to ask you how close you two were when you stopped.
Blood.
You smelt it in the air and closed your eyes. "It's not far." You said as you opened your eyes. Wanda grabbed your hand as you took a step forward. "Y/N." You looked back and stopped your movement. She looked from your eyes to your mouth.
The sharp intake of her breath and the crane of her neck was all you both needed to know. "Your fangs..." She whispered. "Blood?" You nodded, and Wanda nodded back before moving in front of you. Keeping her grip on your hand. "Tell me where to go."
Wanda knew that no matter how much blood there was, you'd smell it. That's not why she got in front of you. She got in front of you because she didn't want you to do something you'd regret if the blood loss was a gracious amount. She had trust in you a hundred percent, but taking chances wasn't something she wanted to do right now.
"Thanks." You said to Wanda, who reminded you that she loved you with three hand squeezes. "It's not far. Straight ahead."
You two didn't get much further when you heard the cries. They were soft and low. Like what was hurt was tired. "Oh my gosh!" Wanda let go of your hand and ran towards the scene. A small white-haired Jack Russell terrier was lying on its side as its leg was stuck in a trap. It looked like a bear trap, but it was too small, confusing you. Your eyes immediately found the blood that turned the white hair on the poor dog red.
Wanda bent down in front of the dog that yelped in surprise before wagging its tail. "It's okay. We're here to help." Wanda pouted and wore a sad face as she looked over the dog. You moved closer and bent down behind the dog near its injured leg.
"There's no collar."
You looked up at Wanda as she gently touched the dog's fur near its neck. "He's dirty, too." You nodded. "Looks like a stray." Wanda nodded and felt sorry for the dog as it cried again. "I'll hold him. You get the trap."
You listened to your girlfriend and lowered your hands down to the end of the trap. "
The lever to release the springs is gone..?"
"I can use my powers," Wanda suggested, but you shook your head and, without wasting another second, wrapped your fingers around the jaws of the trapped and pulled them down hard. Causing the trap to break in two as if it were plastic.
The dog, free from the trap, tried to jump up to run but fell as its back leg pained it too much. It cried as Wanda didn't let go of the dog. "I'm sorry." She said as she pulled it by its neck closer to her. "You're hurt. We can't let you go." She hushed the dog and made an aww noise. You smiled at the sight of your beautiful girlfriend with the dog as you smashed up the rest of the stupid trap to take with you to dispose of.
"We should go." You smiled at Wanda as she refused to let go of the dog. The two of you and your new friend found your way back to the trail and to the house without another incident.
_
"You're bleeding!"
Wanda sounded shocked as you returned with a beach towel. "Huh?" You looked down where Wanda was looking and found a trail of blood on your right hand, past your pinkie. You didn't remember being cut or anything on your walk back... You lifted your hand up to your nose.
"It's not mine." You said as you handed Wanda the towel. "Aww, is it this poor guys?" Wanda made an adorable face as she calmly wrapped the towel around the dog's leg.
"Any luck finding medical supplies?" Wanda asked where her attention finally came back to you.
You shook your head. "They have some things but nothing for dogs. Is there much of a difference, though?" You asked. "I mean, I'm a vampire, and I take human drugs and use sanitizing wipes."
Wanda tilted her head, not as amused as you had hoped.
"I can go to the store." You quickly corrected. Wanda nodded and smiled. "Thank you, Detka." You walked past your girlfriend and went to the kitchen island to grab her car keys. You sigh. Still flummoxed. "What kind of Veterinary Clinic is closed on Saturdays? It makes no sense."
Wanda shrugged. "I agree, but all we can do is the best we can right now. We're just lucky I ran my hand over his stomach to know that he's not chipped." You nodded, knowing she was right.
"Well, the supplies that they do have are sitting on the counter in our giant primary bathroom. You can try bathing him, and by that point, I should be back with some bandages." Wanda nodded and agreed. "Okay, I'll do that." She then looked at the dog in her arms. "Do you want a bath?" The dogs' ears perked up and looked from Wanda to you.
"I don't think he likes the B word." You said.
"Bath?" Wanda asked, completely serious, making you laugh when the dog pleaded at you to not let this happen. "Yes, Wanda. B-A-T-H."
That's when Wanda understood and made an ah noise.
"Okay, noted. Won't use that word." You laughed and leaned into the witch and gave her a kiss before looking at the white dog. "Be good. I'll be back."
_
Your trip to town was uneventful compared to what Wanda must've gone through when you were gone.
As you pulled up to the rental cabin, everything was normal, but once you opened the front door, you saw how much had happened.
"Babe?" You carefully called out as you walked past a trail of slightly wet paw prints coming from the upstairs hall. You lightly moved the bag of dog food around on your shoulder as your grip on the local pet store bag in your hand tightened. "Wanda?"
You knew she was here. You could smell her.
"Detka!" You used her pet name for you in hopes that she would appear, but still nothing. As you stepped into the kitchen and placed the dog supplies on the island, you looked at the living room and saw a pillow torn up with feathers everywhere. Your eyes then landed on the floor, and you saw broken glass as well as a pair of Wanda's underwear—her maroon-colored panties. A pair you loved to see on her now sat chewed up on the floor.
You had to laugh.
Usually, that would only happen because of you.
"Babe?" You called out through a chuckle. That's when your ears heard Wanda. You followed the noise, and your feet moved you to where you needed to be.
Out the back door, you saw Wanda, now dressed in sweats, chasing the dog around the fire pit with what appeared to be a small box in its mouth.
You're not sure how long Wanda and the dog had been at this, but you guessed it must've been far too long because you watched as the dog stopped its movement as a hue of red surrounded the dog.
The box in its mouth disappeared. You're unsure where it went, but it must've been important.
Your eyes remained on the dog as it was raised into the air by Wanda. She gave the dog a stern talking too that you were very familiar with before she grabbed it and started walking towards the house.
When Wanda entered, you acted as if you had just come back home. Placing the bag of dog food on the counter. "Hey, where were you? I called, and no one answered." You asked with an innocent smile. One Wanda didn't see past as she was busy holding the white-haired troublemaker.
"Outside. Chasing this one." She held the dog by its stomach out to you. You noticed its injured leg looked better, especially after the bath, but still needed to be wrapped. "I learned that dogs get hyper after a bath."
"Oh?" You question as you now held the dog while Wanda fetched the bandages. "Yep. The bat- the B-A-T-H was fine! Great even. He sat in the tub and was very nice. Shocking considering some stories I saw online." You nodded as Wanda started recounting her time in your absence.
"He was dried as best as he could be sitting on the bedroom floor, and I grabbed some clothes to change into." She gestures to her grey sweat suit that she loves so much. "And I guess I left the suitcase open because when I came out of the bathroom. He had two things in his mouth." She finishes wrapping his leg and gives the dog some pets before looking for a broom to sweep up the broken glass on the floor as you follow—dog in arms.
"One. My underwear!" She bends down and holds the pair in front of you with a flat, sad smile. "And two yo- my ring box! Box of my rings! From years ago." She stumbles over her words, not facing you in the slightest.
Wanda was probably so stressed, you think.
Wanda does her best to hide her panicked face. Choosing to sweep the floor and keep her head low as she moves on with the story.
"Anyways. I go to grab them from him, and he just takes off running. From down the stairs, he turns down this hallway. I trip over my feet, trying to chase him. I hit this frame, and it comes falling to the floor. I scare the panties out of his mouth. But he apparently liked that pillow a little too much because by the time I looked up from the broken glass, feathers were in the air. And he's gone out the back door!!" Wanda waves her hands in the air, sending feathers flying out of her dustpan.
"I'm sorry, love." You do your best to hide your smile, but Wanda sees it. "It's not funny!" A feather lands on her nose as she pouts. "I'm serious!" Wanda makes her face frown even more, and you almost fall for it until you see her crack. She smiles at you, and you two laugh. "And then what happened?" You ask, knowing damn well what happened.
"I chased him around the fit pit until I remembered about my damn powers!" Wanda emphasizes her point by using her powers to clean up the rest of the mess left by the dog in your arms. "And what about the box of rings?"
"Huh?!" Wanda turns to you with a slight panic across her face as she puts the broom and dustpan away.
"The box of rings. You said Bolt had them?"
"Oh-h.. I- wait.. Bolt?" Wanda looks at you with her head tilted in confusion. "Bolt." You said as you held up the now sleepy dog in your arms. Wanda laughs. "That's definitely not his name."
"Why not?" You whine. "According to your story, you couldn't catch him. Kinda like he.. bolted.." You lifted your eyebrows as your joke doesn't exactly land. "No." Is all she says as she finds a bowl and starts dumping his fresh kibble into it.
"Fine. What do you suggest?" You ask, to which Wanda shakes her head. "How about dog." Wanda-"
"Y/N, we can't keep it!"
You sigh in defeat.
"I know." You moved the dog up closer to Wanda's face. "But isn't he so cute?"
Wanda did her best to look away, knowing that any more contact and interaction with this dog would make her harder. But when the unarmed four-legged creature sniffed Wanda's ear and made her laugh.
It was soon over.
"Y/N.." She looked past the dog and up to your big eyes.
Wanda never would've guessed that you wanted a dog, but your thoughts were loud in this moment. She didn't have to read them. She could sense the amount of guilt that you would feel if you two left the dog. How lonely it could be. In your mind, the dog sat in a cage where you sat before the Avengers showed up.
"Detka.." Wanda reached her hand up and started petting the neck of the dog. "Taking care of a living thing is a big responsibility.. dogs need food, exercise, training." Wanda looked at the puppy dog's eyes. "And belly rubs and cuddles! And kisses between his little ears!"
The battle was over.
Wanda leaned in and kissed the dog on his little forehead and smiled with joy. "Oh gosh, he is so cute!"
"Yes, he is." You agreed to a statement you would never make about a man.
"So, thoughts?" Wanda looked up and bit her lip with a smile. "Okay, fine, we can keep him." You laughed. "I meant thoughts about a name."
"Flash?"
"No."
"White Lighting."
"No!"
"Spot?"
"But he has no spots?"
"Yes, it's ironic."
"No."
"Quicksilver?"
"Y/N!"
"Okay, sorry."
After a few more minutes of back and forth as, the dog ate his kibble and drank his water, he shook, causing a droplet of water to land into an outlet near the floor. Quick as a flash, a bolt of light came out of the socket.
"How about Sparky?"
You looked at Wanda to see if she was joking, but when she tilted her head with a smile, you agreed. "Perfect." You called Sparky over, and he did his best to trot on over to the two of you as if he had known you forever.
"Have I ever told you that you're the smartest Avenger?"
"Once or twice."
"Well, let's make sure I do it more often." Wanda leaned in and kissed you on your lips, but moved away before the fangs came out.
"We can do something about that later," Wanda spoke to you in a hushed tone as she covered Sparky's ears. The less the dog knew, the better.
Which was quite funny when you thought about it.
Because a couple of months later, when Wanda took you on another surprise trip, you accidentally found the same box Sparky had in his mouth that day at the cabin.
You didn't open it.
However, Wanda did when she got down on one knee and asked for your hand in marriage at dinner that night.
The date is set.
Pietro is bummed, Sparky is your best man.

You grabbed your bag and stood up from the table where you were sitting. You lowered the short, violet dress you were wearing that night. It had too little fabric for your taste, but Alys had insisted that you had bought it toward two years for some special reason and she insisted that you wear it for her birthday celebration. You remembered Aemond murmuring that you were very pretty and your cheeks had flushed slightly.
At that moment you felt stupid watching him dance with Alys. She pressed her body against him on the dance floor of that exclusive club, where Aemond had gotten a VIP section for his girlfriend's birthday. For his beloved Alys and all her friends. That included you. However, after watching Alys rub her butt against Aemond's crotch for the twenty-third time that night you felt out of place. It wasn't that you had counted the times she had made that move, or that you had a game in which you used to take a drink every time she did it... how many hangovers hadn't been because of that move... No, really  No. You wore very well than your best friend came out with the boy you liked since high school. You were doing terribly well. You were only going home because you couldn't stand those high heels or that short dress anymore. The atmosphere of that club. Crowded with people and with an oppressive temperature…
You said goodbye to all your friends on the pretext that your head hurt and Shiera and her bicolor eyes knew that you were lying, but she didn't give it any more importance. She was the only friend who had let you know that Alys' move had been too low when she started dating Aemond when it was obvious that you liked him. But did you like Aemond? Of course not. Of course not. You had always been friends and there was a sacred rule about not going out with friends. Things broke down and that's why you had never done anything... Right? Another lie that you always told yourself to calm your sad mood.
You left the club and found yourself on the street in the rain and Sound of the cars that were trying to drive under that unexpected temporary. The now muffled music coming out of that exclusive venue. That repetitive and strident sound. You grabbed your arms and thought about your options to get home. All your skin was crawling from the cold and humidity of the water and although you didn't realize it, the humidity there was frizzy that hairstyle that had cost you so much to do that night. The truth was that you knew that a small part of you had only acted like this to impress Aemond, although you would rather die than admit it. You had always found it pathetic that two women competed for the same man. You kept thinking about how to get back home.
You could order a taxi and have it drop you off at the King's Landing bus station. There was a bus that left there at one in the morning. It would take you about 45 minutes to arrive and you could take off that terrible dress and those uncomfortable shoes. You could also call your brother and stay the night at his apartment, but you knew he would end up arguing with his girlfriend like always. So you ruled it out. You could... call your father and ask him to come pick you up. But that would only mean having to explain why you had returned so soon from your supposed best friend's party.
“Hey, how come you're not inside? It's a terrible storm to be outside” you heard Alys' voice behind you and your brain ended up freezing completely. You weren't in the mood to pretend that everything was okay between you, because it hadn't been for three years. Everything was a supposed cordiality and sisterhood that in many cases ended up stressing you out, all because it wouldn't be obvious that you were just jealous. Terribly jealous.
"I'm going home. My head hurts a little” you responded with the best of your fake smiles and you only saw that she was still perfect even despite the humidity of the environment. She was always bloody perfect, with her makeup well applied, her hair perfectly combed, and her dress without a single wrinkle, despite having spent the whole night rubbing against Aemond. Sometimes you thought she even did it on purpose.
“Oh, come on, just wait a couple of hours and Aemond and I will take you home in his car,” she replied, trying to take your hand and go back to the party, but you just let go of her in a bad way, and you realized that such a violent and tiring gesture had managed to destroy the fragile facade of feigned happiness for her that you had managed to build over those hard three years. You weren't going to go home again while Aemond drove and Alys touched up in the passenger seat.
“I don't want to be a bother. Today is your birthday and I imagine you will go do your things after this” you sighed, your cheeks slightly blushing. You could still hear Alys' criticism of the fact that you still hadn't slept with anyone. Alys always patronized you and laughed amusingly as you both continued under the entrance to the club. You are much closer to the rain than she was.
“You mean I'm going to go fuck him after my birthday party?” She smiled at you, amused and arrogant, crossing his arms, knowing that that way of speaking always made you feel uncomfortable. Alys had never been known for being subtle or discreet. It was what you thought men liked about her. “Of course I will, but we can keep bringing you closer to home” she smiled again. She laughed in your face and found the sad face you had made when she had confirmed that she would sleep with Aemond that night even more amusing. You were so innocent that she always thought you had to imagine them playing house when you weren't with them.
“My head really hurts,” you murmured, feeling your cheeks blush. In that moment, you wished you were Alys and received all the attention Aemond gave her day after day. “And I just want to go home…”
“(Y/N), I'm not stupid, okay? I know you like Aemond, but, you have played your cards better” she laughed and you went pale. You saw her smirk as she hit the nail on the head. You had always considered yourself a good actress, but you weren't. You never had been. “This party is full of guys and you just need to get laid. My boyfriend would end up being a mere memory in your head if you did that” she could see how it had been a real stab that she referred to Aemond as her boyfriend and she just laughed, again. “Please, you and Aemond have always been in very different leagues, and you are still a child unable to get over your high school crush,” she laughed and you couldn't take it anymore. It almost seemed like Alys had always found pleasure in humiliating you. “Don't be pathetic. Go back to the party and go to the bathroom with the first one who invites you to a drink” She offered her hand for you to come back in and something inside your head seemed to click at that moment.
“Did you know I liked Aemond in high school?” you asked her and her smile faltered for the first time that night.
“Hey…” Alys started to shake her head. She had always known it. And your heart broke even more. What the hell had Alys been playing since then? “(Y/N), I…”
“It's a yes or a no. It's not that complicated,” you replied, feeling your whole body trembling as if you couldn't stand on your legs. And she bit her lips. She didn't want to answer you. She didn't want to do it because she had always known and never cared. She had only had one very clear goal with Aemond. "Brilliant. You knew it and you still screwed it.”
“You couldn't decide. It was stupid to see you” she blurted that out in your face as if it were a compelling enough reason and you didn't even stay to listen to the rest of the explanation. You just ran out of there, in the rain, your bag swinging on your bare shoulder and hugging yourself. “(Y/N), come back” she yelled at you. But, you were too sad to look back again and you just ran through the rain, almost not knowing where to go.
Alys saw your figure disappear and only turned to return to the club. At the door she met Aemond, who had come out to look for you. He asked her if everything was okay and she just kissed him and took him to the bathroom. That was the perfect way their relationship worked. She was sure he hadn't heard any of your conversation.
You kept walking until you ended up cold and soaked in a part of the city you didn't know. But, you felt too betrayed to be able to feel afraid. You weren't in a good neighborhood and fate was just capricious when you heard something moving in an alley.
At that moment, you realized where you were and you felt afraid. You saw the gazes of some of the passersby fix on you and one even whistled at you as you passed by him. “What is a girl as pretty and alone as you doing in a place like this?” He whispered to you as he grabbed your arm. That man only smelled of alcohol and you felt stupid for having rejected Alys' offer. How did you end up there?
A shadow appeared between the garbage cans in that alley and you never felt so happy to have seen Aegon in your life. He was in a sorry state, with an eyebrow and a split lower lip. He staggered and sighed as he tried to focus his eyes on the spectacle in front of his eyes. You thought he almost looked like he had just been beaten up and he just tried to smile at the sight of you.
That man who had grabbed you stood still, just like you. To that stranger, even in a state as pitiful as that, Aegon Targaryen was someone to be reckoned with. It was a name that could only bring trouble, and, yes, it was perfectly the kind of neighborhood where you'd imagine Aegon on a Saturday night.
“Hey, (Y/N), is this asshole bothering you?” he responded, clutching his ribs, sighing heavily and ending with a smile just as he finished exhaling. That guy looked you up and down, weighing whether the risk of facing Aegon was worth it, even if he was in that state so unbecoming of his family's name, as Aemond always said.
The same guy who had assaulted you let you go and left without saying anything else. Aegon leaned against the brick wall at the corner of the alley and smiled at you again. He made a pitiful sound again and you approached as if you had become active again, after the terror that had taken hold of you. "Are you OK?" you asked him, eyes full of concern and Aegon thought about how he liked your eyes when they looked at him like that. You were a good enough person to care about him. He thought you were even too good a person to be his brother's best friend. You always gave everything you had.
“I've had better nights. Also worse” he answered you while he continued clutching his ribs and took out the keys to his car that was parked at the door of that seedy dive. You didn't even want to ask him what activities were carried out there. You approached with concern and he tried to smile again. Aegon had always treated you cordially, even sympathetically, despite the relationship you had with Aemond. “Well, can I get you somewhere?” Because it's hard for me to leave you in a neighborhood like this alone,” he said with difficulty, banging the keys on the hood of the last Ferrari his parents had bought him. You knew how bad that had felt for Aemond. However, they paid for his very expensive and exclusive doctorate while his brother seemed to indulge that sinful life that only brought him problems.
“I think you should go to the hospital and have that bruise looked at,” you told him as you opened the passenger door. You knew Aemond was going to kill him when he found out whatever had happened to him, and you felt obligated to escort him, as if you had taken the same responsibility on your own of your best friend. You got into the car and Aegon smiled again at the same time he too opened his door.
“I'll go to the hospital right after I drop you off at your house or wherever you want,” he said, starting the car, without putting on his seat belt. At that moment he realized that you were soaked and that you had cried. He had made enough women cry to know the expression that was painted on your face. “Uhm, are you okay? Because you look terrible” he asked you with genuine concern and the greatest tact he had. Aegon had never been known for having good tact.
“Are you really asking me how I am doing when you have a possible broken rib?” you asked him, framing your eyebrows in a worried gesture and he just laughed.
"Believe me. I've had my ribs broken and they hurt more,” he answered honestly and you looked at your phone at that moment. Aemond had sent you a message. Alys none. And you didn't want to see what your best friend had written to you. You didn't think you were capable. You would end up crying. “I thought today was Alys's birthday,” Aegon murmured as he tapped the steering wheel as he began to drive through the city. You didn't even want to wonder if he was up to it, but you just sighed.
“Yes, it is,” you said, putting the phone back in your bag and Aegon just bit his inner cheek. Okay, it was better not to ask you about that topic. He knew enough about women to know that: one, that you had cried, and two, that you must have argued with Alys. The reasons for the discussion could be quite broad. To Aegon, Alys had always seemed as much of a cretin as his cretin of a brother. But Aemond was his little brother and he had no choice but to put up with him. He couldn't stand Alys and it showed. But, he was always the life of the party. He considered his brother's girlfriend so stupid that he thought that not even she must know. You had a sad face, but that was the face you had since Alys and Aemond had started dating. His brother had made a terrible mistake by not choosing you. A mistake Aegon was not willing to make. Maybe, he could sleep with you and see if things worked out…no, no. You were too good a girl for that.
“So… Shall I take you back to the party?” He asked and called himself stupid. You had to come from there, wrapped in tears and looking terrible. A sigh escaped your lips and you just rested your head against the car seat. Your eyes squeezed shut and a tear escaped them.
“No, leave it,” you quickly wiped away that tear with the back of your hand and Aegon felt violent. He had seen you cry before, but it had always been when you were younger, in Aemond's room and, of course, his brother had always been there for you. The eldest Targaryen only knew you in a much less intimate context. He found you quite nice considering the people Aemond usually chose as friends and Aegon had to confess that he had looked at your ass on more than one occasion at one of the parties they had at his house when his parents were away. He did like you somewhat, but he had imagined you as his sister-in-law until Alys appeared in Aemond's life. “Could you drop me off at the bus station?”
“Yes, of course,” Aegon drove in silence. So, yes, you had argued with Aemond's girlfriend. He didn't see you capable of crying about it, or about the situation. Your tears must have had another explanation. Aegon looked at the clock. It was quite late and you probably wanted to take the last bus that would take you to that small city so close to King's Landing. But, you weren't going to have time and that boy thought about whether it was advisable to leave you with such a short dress, such disastrous looks and such uncomfortable shoes in such a lonely season so late. He couldn't think of anything better than the stupid thing he said next. “Um… you could come to my apartment. Uhmmm, I would need someone to cure my lip and eyebrow…” he scratched the back of his neck while his other hand was still on the steering wheel. He thought it was better to keep you in his house with such a stupid ruse than to endure the scolding Aemond would give him if anything happened to you. Besides, a small part of Aegon, very small, actually worried that something might happen to you. He looked at you out of the corner of his eye and only saw you completely blushing. He would have killed to know what you were thinking, but your only mind was that it was the same apartment you had stayed the night in many other times, before Alys started dating Aemond. The couch had always seemed comfortable to you, although Aemond had always left you his bed and he had gone to sleep on the couch. How many nights had you slept there thinking that Aemond would show up in the middle of the night? But, he had never done it and you had never approached the sofa either. You were both too shy or stupid to do it. “Okay, it was stupid and…” Aegon started rambling and you just looked at his wounds. Maybe you could help him.
"OK. Alright. Let's go to the apartment” you replied as you relaxed in the passenger seat and brushed your arms again, freezing to death. Maybe it was better than spending the night waiting for the next bus. You would leave in the morning. You were sure that Aemond and Alys had booked a hotel room for that night. You wouldn't see them. Nothing would happen. You preferred to spend the night under the same roof as Aegon than alone and soaked at the station.
The next thing you remembered was Aegon shirtless. Sitting on the toilet bowl, drinking a bottle of Vodka. The same concoction you were using to rub on the wound on your eyebrow. It was quite deep and did not seem to slow down in its efforts to bleed scandalously. You weren't good at that. You've never had to heal a wound like that on anyone. You and Aemond had always been calm and smart enough to stay out of trouble, even when you were in high school.
Aegon let out another pitiful whimper as the cotton touched the wound again. You only came closer, but Aegon couldn't help but think that you smelled too good. He had your breasts at eye level and found them fascinating. He just took another sip from the bottle while he kept looking at them. You continued in silence, too focused to pay him any attention. Aemond had been an asshole for not telling you when it was obvious that he had had a crush on you all through high school. The eldest Targaryen moved again as the cotton touched the wound again and you just grabbed his chin.
“Please, if you don't stay still I'm not going to move forward with this” you whispered to him while you kept looking at the wound. He liked your worried eyes, your eyes fixed on him, even if it was to heal a simple wound. “I don't know why they did this to you, but it doesn't look good,” you murmured as you dipped a new cotton ball into the bottle that had finally been freed from his hands and he just chuckled.
“Well, at least they didn't kill me. If they had killed me, I wouldn't be able to pay them back the money I owe them” Aegon joked and you just narrowed your eyes while shaking your head. Not a single smile had appeared on your lips and that was almost a way to make Aegon vulnerable, or maybe it was just a strategy to get you into his bed that night. Aegon wasn't sure what was wrong with you. With you. On that one and first time that you were alone and showed genuine concern for him.
“Don't move,” you whispered, still focused on the wound. It seemed like the bleeding had stopped and keeping an eye on that was better than thinking about how ridiculous you had been at Alys's party. Aegon didn't move and just sighed, relaxing his muscles.
“I know I'm a fucking mess. "I'm sorry," Aegon replied. He bit his cheek and just looked at the ground. He would always be the biggest failure of all his brothers. The stupid. The headless one... the lost one... While you healed him in silence, he reflected on it. Would any of his friends cure him like you were doing? The answer was clear and he couldn't feel more of a failure than ever. Shirtless. Sitting in the bathroom. With a girl who was out of his league. “I guess you think I'm a failure…” he whispered and closed his eye, grimacing painfully before you put that stitches on him, and yet you stopped. He looked at you and saw only pity in your eyes.
It hadn't been an easy night for either of you.
“Why would I think that?” you told him, wrinkling your face, almost in a sneer at the image he must have of you, if he thought that you thought he was a failure.
“Well…” he shrugged his shoulders “I wasn't able to finish my degree, I haven't been able to keep a job for more than three months straight, and I just got beaten up for owing money in a cockfight…” he sighed and finished. smiling, almost in a pathetic way that made your heart ache, as if you had never seen him before as the human being he was, as more than just your best friend's older brother. “I'm never going to have a PhD or a girl who is always in love with me… I will never be as perfect as Aemond…” He looked straight into your eyes and you just looked at him with eyes full of tears. He had struck a chord.
He was right that you would always have a crush on Aemond. You quickly wiped away your tears and approached him again. You placed the stitch and he only pretended to moan in pain to make you laugh. “What a bad nurse you are” he whispered and made you laugh.
“You don't want to be as blind as Aemond,” you said in a whisper and he just laughed.
“Damn, he's one-eyed, what a way to say that…” he laughed, getting up from the toilet and you narrowed your eyes, separating yourself from him, ready to wash your hands in the sink. He looked at you smiling at your reflection in the bathroom mirror and you looked back at him with a half smile.
“You know that's not what I mean,” you told him and he just laughed again.
“I know, but the joke was there. I just saw the opportunity” he shrugged again and you came closer just to sniff him. He saw your face scrunching up and laughed loudly. “I should take a shower, would you like to come with me?” He asked in a joking, but suggestive tone and you just punched him in the chest, laughing for the first time that night.
“Can you take a shower, please?” you asked him and he just looked you up and down. That pretty, damaged dress. All your hair wet. You were a mess.
“Right now,” he said, leaving the bathroom, running towards his room. You didn't know whether to follow him and you ended up doing so, almost like a mother following a small child. Now you knew how Aemond felt every time he told you each of his older brother's crazy things. However, you arrived at his room to only see him with a tender smile and grabbing one of his old t-shirts. “You're soaked… and… you're going to end up catching a cold…” He offered you the shirt and that tender gesture broke your heart. Before, Aemond had always had those tender gestures with you, now... three years later... and with Alys... none of that existed.
You blushed and pushed him into the shower, laughing. How long had it been since you laughed like that?
“We're not going to watch a documentary about Ancient Valyria,” he screamed at you, while flipping through the many pay channels he had. You laughed and knelt on the couch, trying to get the controller away from him. You missed having that complicity with someone, and you wondered how you could have reached that intimate point with Aegon, wearing one of his shirts, sitting with him in the living room of his apartment... it almost seemed like you were back with Aemond and then, he came back to stretch your arm, separating the TV remote from your possible grip. You tried to grab him again, falling on top of him and Aegon just put his hand on the back of your neck, pulling your face to his and... he simply kissed you, closing his eyes, while your eyes remained wide open. His lips landed on yours and he moved them energetically, feeling a kind of strange connection with you. You didn't close your eyes even once. You didn't believe what was happening, much less did you know how to react to that kiss that didn't upset you, but it didn't excite you either. How many times have you imagined Aemond kissing you on that couch while you were watching one of the documentaries he liked so much? Aegon finished and opened his eyes to only be met with your wide eyes and flushed cheeks. You looked down and he just laughed, feeling like a loser again… “Has it been that bad?” He asked, running his hand through his hair, almost as if he'd screwed up…because, that's how he always felt. That damn feeling of always screwing up.
However, you kissed him again. It was a childish and vindictive feeling, stupid and immature. You only remembered Alys's words. Maybe the problem was the same thing that Alys had told you at the entrance to that exclusive club, maybe... you just needed to get laid by the first person who had invited you to a drink, and Aegon had done much more than that.
He accepted all your kisses, feeling like a winner. He had surpassed Aemond for the first time in his life. He had the girl of his dreams and he planned to rub it in his face how good a match he was for you... Besides, you didn't see him as a loser, and that made his heart beat harder. Your kisses were proof of this.
You ended up sleeping with Aegon, without much more than a few kisses, in the same bed in his apartment, without him letting go of you all night. Hugging you and you felt a special connection with him... As if all the attention and care he needed fell on you... and, unbeknownst to you, Aegon began to think that you were his girlfriend that very night... you ended up cuddled up, with him hugging you. body, and you slept... Aegon was just a patch to alleviate your loneliness, but wasn't that what love was about?
“But… What are you doing here?” Alys closed the refrigerator door roughly and you woke up from the sleepy trance you were in. You had only gone for a glass of water to continue sleeping.
Your best friend crossed her arms. The nightgown that left little to the imagination contrasted with the old t-shirt Aegon had left you to sleep in. You were both in your underwear, although in a very different way. She looked you up and down, as if you were a real scumbag and you only spoke with the shyness that characterized you, with the fear that you had always really had of Alys, it wasn't about respect. It was about fear. She had always been better than you and had constantly reminded you of that. “I was coming for water,” you whispered. You looked at her as if she were an alien, as if you didn't want to have anything to do with her since the argument the night before, because you didn't want to see her again. Never more.
“Well, I imagine that's what you were coming for…” he told you, looking at you again, as if he were scanning you. “That shirt is Aegon's…” he whispered, grabbing one of the sleeves as if it would give him a rash and you blushed, breaking free of his grip.
“Why don't you go fuck Aemond? It's the only thing you know how to do” you whispered to her, angry, like you had never been before and she smiled contemptuously, as if everything was beginning to unfold in her head. You were angry and hurt, much more hurt than angry.
“Don't fuck with me, (Y/N). Are you fucking Aegon?” She smiled, with that smile so beautiful and evil at the same time. “Are you so pathetic that since you can't sleep with Aemond you end up fucking his loser brother? Oh really?" she smiled again.
“Leave me alone, bitch,” you said. The voice was icy and she paled. She would never have believed you capable of calling him that. “If you had been my friend, you wouldn't have fucked him,” you told her. A tear running down your face. “Because you knew I was in love with him… because you fucking knew it…” you whispered under your breath. You felt another tear running down your face. And it wasn't just because Aemond had chosen her, it was because she had always known... she had been your best friend... until that night...
“You will always be a pathetic, losing creature. “Did you want Aemond to end up with a loser like you?” She asked you and at that moment, you froze.
Aemond appeared there, without his sweater, without his eyepatch, and looked at you both as if that had been the revelation of his life... always so blind... he had heard everything and opened his mouth to say something, but you just walked out of the room. You headed towards Aegon's room and closed the door behind you. You had already made a decision.
Alys watched as her boyfriend nervously ran his hand through his hair. “Aemond…” she whispered, approaching him, trying to get him to take her into his arms again, but Aemond only pushed her away, closing his sole tightly. How could he have been so blind? Alys… Alys had always told him that you weren't interested and he… had believed her, because it was the easy way… to believe her… “Let's go to bed” she whispered, hugging him from behind, kissing his back while he tried to process everything, in complete silence. “She's always going to be a pathetic, losing creature…” she began whispering and Aemond couldn't take it anymore. It had been like this for too long.
“Go away,” he said in a firm voice and Alys stopped kissing his back. She pulled away and Aemond just turned away, not meeting her eyes. He repeated the same command “Go away.”
“But…” Alys started to speak, but Aemond just grabbed her arm and looked her straight in the eyes. His eyes seemed to have forgotten all the desire and adoration he had had for her during those three years.
“Go away,” he whispered again. At that moment he hated her, but above all he hated himself for having always been so blind. Alys left, and it took him two years away from you to clarify what he felt... He had always been selfish...

I'm curious what Vox's first impressions were of the Alastor's daughter, like as a kid, I mean he briefly mentions it but I kinda wanna read his reaction about learning the radio host he grew up listening to has a daughter (and if he learned before the serial killer thing was announced, did imagine scenarios of meeting the radio man and his daughter like little kids do with their imagination or teens with their daydreams).
Another inquiry is what his impressions were when he read the reader's book (obviously he read it) and if he could sense there was more to it than the words written down
OATSH Master List
To answer your second question succinctly, yes. Not to the extent that he would suspect them of anything but he would have definitely picked up on some very subtle hints of defensiveness when it came to Alastor’s killings. I think he’d probably read it as them feeling like they need justification for still caring about him despite what he did but in reality, it’s less about their own justification and more so like a “he’s not a monster. He was helping people, why can you see that?” you know?
To answer your first question, thank you for giving me a reason to write this:
A Voice on the Radio | Vox x Alastor’s Child Reader
Tumblr media
It was a surprise when the radio switched from producing the sound of blues to voices. For the past week, nothing but blues music came from the station. A very stark change from the upbeat jazz that normally played. There had also been no speaking. Not a single soul had spoken for the last nine days.
A throat cleared. “Is this on?”
“The light,” another, much younger sounding voice said.
The fifteen year old paused eating breakfast and looked at his mother who was staring at the radio with furrowed brows. Neither voice was familiar.
“Ah, yes, right,” the first voice said with a laugh. “Good morning all, we would like to apologize for the radio silence on our part this past week. Some unexpected tragedies came our way and with them uncovered some gruesome truths.
“The dearly beloved host, Alastor, has passed. He was killed by a misfire of a hunter. A truly tragic event but with it came to light the horrific acts of the late Alastor. As you likely know if you’re a long time listener, for the past decade or so, there have been many murders that have befallen this otherwise serene part of Louisiana and it’s been confirmed to be the acts of our previous show host.
“Today, I have here with me the one person who knew him better than anyone else and can hopefully shine some light upon the situation and perhaps give some peace to the families of the victims. Alastor’s daughter—“
He looked towards the radio now. His breakfast was forgotten now. His fork barely dangled in his hand.
Not only was his mother’s (and by extension his own) favorite radio show host dead but also a murderer and he had a daughter? So much information in less than three minutes. His brain was struggling to keep up.
Even his father set down his paper to listen in.
“Why don’t you say hello to the people?”
“I’m not dignifying you with a proper greeting until you dignify me with a proper introduction. You’re doing a terrible job, Gregory,” the younger voice said.
He smiled curiously at the radio.
“I— um, I’m sorry?” the man, Gregory, said. There was only silence in reply. An awkward chuckle, “Well, my apologies then. Let me introduce the daughter of our show host—“ Gregory said your name and silently he tested it on his tongue— “Do you have anything to say to the people before we begin?”
“Yes, I would like to sincerely apologize for Gregory’s lack of bravado and charisma. I did do my best to convince them that Raymond would be better but alas,” you said.
That’s when he got it. You did sound like a younger, more feminine version of your father. Down to the tilts of the accent.
There was a longer pause and then, barely picked up and barely able to decipher, “You have your father’s creepy smile.” Louder, intended to be heard, “Why don’t we get into the questions then?”
“Yes, let’s. The less time spent listening to you, the better for everyone, hm?”
“You little— So—“ the sounds of hands clapping together— “the reports I have here suggest that you knew about the murders. Was there a reason you didn’t say anything?”
“I’ve been raised by a serial killer, Gregory. Please, take a guess,” you replied.
He couldn’t help but snort as reached for his glass. His mother shot him a look. He bowed his head down as he took a sip.
“Right, well,” Gregory cleared his throat, “did you happen to know his motivations?”
“He’s a very righteous man,” you said. “You’ve seen him when people are being disrespectful. He’s not just some ravaging animal. He’s very selective.”
“Was,” Gregory corrected. “He was very selective, you mean.”
“Was,” you repeated and he could hear you seething even through the crackle of the radio.
“Oh, heavens! Get your stuff or we’re going to be late,” his mother said.
He didn’t want to go though. He wanted to stay and listen to you on the radio. He was having fun listening to your snark.
It truly surprised him, impressed him how you were able to have such moxie so soon after tragedy. He couldn’t imagine being so quick witted so quickly.
His mother called his name and he snapped back to reality. As he headed out the door, he heard you snap back at Gregory one more time, “And would you call yourself a saint? Don’t think no one’s noticed the looks you’ve shared with Ms. Brown, as a married man, no less!”
He compressed a laugh to his chest as he followed his mother.
The next day he saw a paper with a headline related to a serial killer in Louisiana. He paid for the paper and read another interview with you.
He couldn’t help but wonder what you looked like. What would such a snarky, confident girl look like? He wanted to know. He wanted to meet you. Even in tragedy, you seemed like good company to have.

Is that... lipstick?
Pairing: Castiel x gn! reader.
Other appearances: Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester
Summary: While trying to have a morning like any other, the Winchester brothers notice a certain fact about the reader they apparently hadn’t themselves. Though once they did, it was something... very unexpected.
Content/Warnings: implied intimacy. nothing explicit unless you want it to be. implied alcohol consumption.
Also this has not been proofread again so be aware that there might be spelling mistakes and such.
A/N: okayokayokay I had this idea from that trend on tiktok where a person would show themselves fixing up their lipstick and then pan to the reason it was messed up in the first place (their partner) and immediately just came up with whatever this was.
Cas is like my go to when writing rn but If someone wants like a Dean x reader version of this... let me know...
Tumblr media
Waking up always felt like the most difficult part of the day. A sort of sluggishness continuously pulling at every muscle within your body. A dull ache that pulsed across the temple as if in harmony with a heartbeat.
There was a list of things that begged you to stay in the comfort of a bed, but you found yourself up and about anyway, ending up in the kitchen with squinting eyes as soon as the harsh lighting consumed your vision.
You had a milk carton in one hand, while your other held onto a bowl of dry cereal, and you titled it to the side, watching the liquid pour over the bites of paradise until some began to float.
Sam was sat at the table to your right. His eyes were practically glued to the screen, his fingers typing away like he was doing a test for how fast he could do it. A sound that didn’t exactly help your head, even though there was the hood of a hoodie covering your ears.
“Yo, Sam, you’re the smart one,” you started after returning the milk to its cold home. The frantic pressing of keys ceased all at once, after at least 3 more words had been spelled out. “... What?”
“I’m not... I’m not repeating that-- How do you cure a headache?” you questioned instead, grabbing the spoon you had set down earlier. Sam’s chair squeaked lightly as he leaned back. “Um...”
“I’m pretty sure you could just take an ibuprofen. Or, you know, put a wet towel on your head? Something like that.”
The younger Winchester sort of looked at you for a minute, though he could only see your back. His eyes analysed your posture, the way that you moved, the way that you stood. And then they narrowed.
His chin slightly tilted up, “Did you drink a lot last night?”
A scoff passed through your lips immediately. “I honestly don’t have an answer to that.” The first mouthful of cereal had been brought to your lips and the second the food touched your tongue, your shoulders relaxed. A sigh seeped through your nose. “I wanna marry the person that made cereal.”
The bowl that really was utter paradise was now in your hands, your fingers gripping onto it for dear life as you finally turned yourself round so that you could lean against the metal island.
“You know that person is dead and has been for... many years, right?” Sam spoke with furrowed eyebrows, the laptop in front of him now long forgotten. “Never stopped me before.” was all you had said before another spoonful was shovelled into your mouth.
At this point a set of footsteps had started echoing through the hallway, and after Sam looked at you with either disgust or concern, or both, his eyes went to the doorway.
“Whoa.” Dean’s feet halted for a moment as he looked between his relieved looking brother and the gremlin thing that was practically hunched over a bowl. “What kind of meeting is this?”
You swallowed, “One where people stop asking questions first thing in the morning.” you responded lazily, gathering more of the contents into your spoon. Dean raised his eyebrows for a second, only to nod his head a second later when his brother sent him a shrug.
“Well,” He continued his previous movements and was now officially in the kitchen, beginning to make his way through the space between the island and the table. “As long as I get breakfast out of it, I---”
Dean stopped almost as fast as he had started. And soon enough, by the time your mouth was yet again full, it seemed that the man was now stood to your side.
It wasn’t until you looked up that you had actually noticed those green eyes of his were aimed right at you, even though you hadn’t uttered a word. You could only blink for a moment.
“What?” you finally questioned, the word barely audible through the mush.
But Dean still stared, mouth agape and eyes flickering over almost every inch of your face in a way that made you want to fold in on yourself. You swallowed again, “Wha-- What? What is it?”
The man before you took about a step backwards, allowing Sam to have you in his line of sight. And then he practically mirrored Dean’s expression, his eyebrows beginning to raise as if they were aiming for the ceiling. “... oh.”
“Oh.” Dean said himself.
Then suddenly, as if the final cog had turned in his head, the face that was once frozen in shock had morphed into this shit eating grin that curled in a beyond terrifying way.
He started laughing.
It wasn’t his usual huffed one, a giggle, or even those little ones he did when making fun of someone. This man was full on cackling in a way that had him bending at the knees.
Sam himself did a bit better at hiding his reaction to whatever it was they were seeing, though his lips sort of trembled as they tucked very tightly together.
You placed the bowl onto the island behind you, arms now crossed over your chest, as you looked between the boys like a disappointed teacher. “Am I going to have to wait a year for you to tell me what the hell is going on?”
“Oh-- Oh, man, this-- this is-- Oh, my god, this is great!” Dean strained out through even more hard laughs while you looked back and forth between the brothers, desperately trying to gage what had happened. “What?”
Finally, after asking the same question over and over again for what felt like the millionth time at this point, and after Sam managed to clear his throat without cracking, he spoke up. “Have you, uh...”
“Have you looked in a mirror at all this morning?”
You shook your head slowly, your eyebrows now very much furrowed if they weren’t before, “No... Why?”
Dean couldn’t even properly speak at this point, as every attempt to contain that urge of laughter ended in yet another fit. “You-- Man, I want-- Ha! I want a picture of this.” he managed out after a few tries, and even began to pat at his pockets as best as he could in his condition.
Though, the laugh and the lack of understand of what the hell was happening made you feel very self-conscious in that moment... You had to admit that it was very nice to see Dean like that, let alone hear that sort of laughter that hasn’t been heard in a very long time.
After staring at the man who was still in absolute hysterics for a second longer, your eyes travelled back over to Sam when he cleared his throat again, and even scrunched his nose in an attempt to calm himself down.
“Yeah,” he started through a slight hushed voice as he nodded his head, “I think it’s best if you go look, just-- No reason.”
It was literally first thing in the morning. Your energy levels didn’t even exist at this point, and all you really wanted to do was just eat your damn cereal in peace... but nevertheless.
You complied.
Your gaze flicked back and forth between the brothers one more time before you pushed yourself off of the island and moved towards the doorway, your feet dragging with every step.
Another round of laughter erupted as soon as you had left the room.
~
Various grumbles joined by the hum of electronic power were the only sounds that echoed through the annoyingly bright halls.
Though the air that circulated was cool, it never seemed to ease the warm rush of embarrassment that burned around your body, despite not even knowing the cause.
After walking through the maze like hallways within the bunker, that felt even longer when tired, you had found yourself in front of the large dark door that held the shower room behind it.
With all the strength you could muster in your state, you turned so that your shoulder could lean on the wood. Your hand grabbed at the handle that was so cold underneath your fingertips that you had almost immediately retracted. As if electrocuted.
The door swung open within the next second, but as soon as it had done so, instead of taking a step inside, your hands now jolted up to cover your eyes, “Jesus!” You blinked more times than anyone could count, your eyelids barely even making it halfway before they had to shut again.
The walls in the room were basically all white, meaning that the light emitted from the ceiling just purely bounced around every nook and cranny. “Might as well be looking at the damn sun.” you muttered to yourself, an irritated sigh following after.
Once you had at least mildly managed to get adjusted to the disgraceful lighting, you allowed yourself to shuffle into the equally cold room.
Soon enough, your heavy body ended up at the sink, your hands grasping along the rim of the bowl in an attempt to stabilise yourself when another ache had pulsed along your forehead.
You took in a deep breath through your nose and held it there for a few seconds. Your eyes landed on the mirror that sat before you, the blinking beginning all over again as the reflection being seen was only blurry.
But thus, after a good minute of being in that bathroom, your body allowed itself to adjust to everything that continuously attacked your senses.
One last blink was all it took before you could see yourself in the glass as clear as day... And everything that came with it.
“Oh... my god.”
Your face was brought closer to the mirror within an instant, your previously tired and heavy eyes becoming fully open in alarm as they were now the ones to search across the skin of your face.
On almost every single feature, that you could see in front of you, was an imprint from a certain cosmetic.
Most entirely followed the outline that very clearly resembled the shape of lips, but others were smudged, some even dragging to where another had been placed.
Lipstick.
There was an odd texture that you had felt tighten the indents of your face this morning, but never in your life would you have imagined that this was the reason. You thought your skin was just being weird.
Your body was frozen. No matter how hard you thought in that moment, there was absolutely no recollection of the previous night. Or who even owned lipstick.
The eyes that stared back at you were almost wild now, a sort of panic surging through your veins at the lack of any memory... Though, it faded into something else as fast as it had started.
Your hood had slipped off the back of your head after your sudden movement. And now, upon gazing at the new areas exposed to you, your eyes ended up travelling even lower. Which now left you realising yet another thing.
The marks weren’t only on your face.
Your heart was purely hammering in your chest, all of the previous confusion and disorientation from earlier fuelling the fire that was panic, as you slowly pushed yourself backwards to stand up straight.
There was a print of lips halfway under the neckline of your hoodie.
Your hands raised, almost frightened, to grip at the fabric. And soon you had it between your fingers, realising now that the texture of that too had been altered from stains that you were guessing happened during everything else.
With a slight shake to your breath, and a squeeze of the material in your grasp, you gingerly began to pull it away so that the skin of your torso was properly revealed in the light--
It was slammed back to your chest within the next second. An audible gasp had even spilled from your lips as you found your gaze in the mirror yet again. Eyes still wide, almost unblinking.
“Holy...”
Your feet took a stumbled step away from the sink, your fingers still tightly clutched to your hoodie, as if it was a set of pearls. But even that couldn’t hide the set prints that apparently travelled a lot further than you thought. The more parts that you looked at, the more stains you found.
Your body had been a canvas to a painter you couldn’t remember.
At this point, you were stood in the centre of the room. Every emotion felt morphing into one thing that spread from your head to your toes.
And then you turned, twisting slow on your feet until your hazed eyes landed on at least one of those large showers that seemed more appealing than they had ever in the morning.
How the hell did you get lipstick off?
~
To rid the skin of countless stains took longer than you had originally thought.
Most of your body felt raw. As if you had scrubbed it with sandpaper for hours on end, though it was just your hands. All was worth it, however, as the previous marks were no more.
For the first time throughout the entire morning, the air that engulfed you within the hallway relieved the warmth that clung as you walked through it, your fresh set of clothes slightly sticking to your body more and more with every step.
You ruffled your towel through your damp hair, the ache in your temple now caused by your eyebrows that were furrowed due to the multitude of thoughts that filtered both in and out of your mind.
An act that almost had you walking right past your own bedroom.
Another grumble murmured through your lips as you turned to the side, opening the door like you had done with the one for the shower room. And then you walked in, the fuzz in your mind apparently stopping you from noticing the light that illuminated its contents.
One that previously wasn’t on at all.
Your head shook, as if all the action going on in your mind would just let go.
Instead of getting closer to figuring out last night's mystery, you were getting further away... Or nowhere at all.
You went round the edge of your bed, taking your towel in both hands before stretching the material out completely so that you could drape it across the radiator along the wall.
A breath was brought slowly in and out of your lungs after taking a step back from the warmth. Your spine uncurled from it’s miserable slouch, your arms practically going limp by your sides while your eyes fell closed.
You reached backwards after a moment, hands patting through the air until you managed to locate the mattress that was screaming your name. But instead, you just sat yourself down. Attempting a final try to get to the bottom of everything. “Come on, man.”
At this point, your head was lowered onto your hands that had previously been clasped together moments before.
You tried everything. Thinking back to what you had done before the timeframe of the... event, who it could’ve been. I mean, Sam and Dean would surely have asked questions if it was someone they didn’t know, right?
Still, even after all of that, and the extra seconds you took to wrack through your brain for even the slightest memory from last night. Something that could just spark your brain and give you the answer. There was nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
“Dammit.” you breathed out, your body now falling limp against your lap as your shoulders deflated with it.
There was almost this feeling of shame that pierced through every other one.
It wasn’t so much so about the fact that you couldn’t remember if you had gone out, or brought someone back into your own home, as much as it was about the fact that you had shared such an intimate experience with a person. And you couldn’t remember a single thing.
Who the hell--
“Y/n?”
Your head snapped up within a second, your body following suit in a way that made it seem like you were about to go flying into the wall when you had managed to stand. “Jesus!”
The heel of your foot had twisted so quickly that it almost gave your skin carpet burn. Your arms were up and ready as you looked throughout the room to find the intruder...
And then your eyes landed on your bed. More importantly, those familiar set of blue eyes that stared right back at you.
Your shoulders eased back down as they had done earlier, your calloused hands raising before rubbing at the soft skin of your face, that felt even nicer after that shower.
“Okay, yeah-- I think Dean is right, man. You’ve gotta stop just appearing like that.” you practically groaned out as you pinched at the bridge of your nose.
“Well, I... I seem to have been here before you walked in.”
Your fingers dragged away from the warm skin beneath it so that you could allow your gaze to find the man, who was most definitely not helping your confusion. “Huh?”
Especially when you had actually located him.
Because of your previous glance, you had thought that Cas was just sat on your bed for whatever reason he desired.
Though now, as you properly stared back at him, finally registering that sort of grogginess that further emphasised the gravel to his voice when he had spoken, you had noticed that he was in fact under the covers.
Your covers.
His torso was practically twisted just so that he could meet your eyes while his own were narrowed, adjusting to the light, and almost looked puffy as if he had just woken up.
Your eyebrows were most definitely furrowed if they weren’t before. “I thought angels didn’t sleep.” You were about to say. Another mystery that you had to solve... but instead, just as the words were going to roll off of your tongue, your brain had fully taken in the appearance of the person before you.
Castiel’s hair was dishevelled, heavily contrasting the way it usually sat, which in itself was most unusual.
And then you saw it.
No words could even begin to pass through your lips in that moment. No matter how hard you tried. There wasn’t a sound, or even a vowel.
“Y/n?” Cas questioned before clearing his throat, slowly pushing himself upward until he could sit upright and even did his signature head tilt when he was properly facing you. “What’s wrong?” He fought with an urge to yawn.
You couldn’t move. Your eyes were just glued to his lips. A set that seemed to be layered with a sort of faded deep red which smudged severely over the skin surrounding his mouth, especially towards the corners. “Oh.”
Castiel’s eyebrows furrowed at the lack of fullness to your voice.
It appeared that your mystery was solved.
You had found your mystery painter.
“Oh.”

"wait...is this a date?" with Husk & Angel please :3c
Slight C/W for typical Val behaviour
Angel kicked his feet idly where they hung off the arm of the lobby sofa as he scrolled through his socials. He'd only just been able to start moving around without a limp that morning after Val had damn near broken his leg and while he was happy for the break (hah!) from work, he was now starting to go slightly stir crazy after being housebound for two days after Val had decided he was useless while one of his legs was twice the size of the other.
He scowled to himself as he shifted around slightly. He was pretty sure that was a spring digging into the small of his back but he couldn't muster the energy to rectify it - as Hell's most famous pornstar, he'd been in way more uncomfortable positions - he could live with something that wasn't a dick poking him in the back until someone or something gave him a worthwhile reason to move.
"Hey, Legs."
Angel yelped and cursed in quick succession as the sudden appearance of the hotel's resident cat demon made him promptly drop his phone onto his face.
"Asshole." He grumbled, rubbing the bridge of his nose, "First ya ditch me, and then ya make me injure myself. I should make ya kiss it better."
"It's not ditchin' ya if it was work." Husk answered as he placed the new bottles on the bar top, "As for the other thing, can I substitute one of those cups of sugar masquerading as a drink?"
Angel sat up to peek over the back of the sofa. Sure enough Husk was stood holding out a hot pink frappe from his favourite coffee place, an eyebrow raised as he shook the cup slightly, enticingly, "Well?"
"I've told ya you're my favourite, right?" Angel asked, making grabby hands until Husk handed it over, the smell of artificial raspberry filling his nose. "What's in the other bag?"
"Nothin' much. You wanna hang out in my room for a while?"
Angel blinked, finger still in his mouth as he paused in licking off melted whipped cream from where it had run down the side of the cup, "Ain't we got another redemption exercise or hugging circle or some shit in like, 5 minutes?" Not that Angel was complaining; Charlie had used his unexpected freetime to really double down on his possible redemption. Whatever had been said in that meeting with Heaven making her more determined then ever and if he had to look at one more crayon drawing or diagram he was going to start tearing his hair out - he may or may not have played up the whole wanting to rest up and heal thing once or twice, just to get her to leave him alone for 5 minutes (and God bless Vaggie for having his back on that one, even if the look she threw him told him she knew he was exaggerating and even though the princess was always quick to comply with minimal fuss and puppy eyes ever since the whole 'boundary crossing' thing).
Husk shrugged, holding out a hand, "Talked to Charlie earlier, we've both got a pass on this one."
"Fine." Angel took the hand without even thinking about it, gingerly testing his leg after laying down for so long - it still ached, but he didn't end up face planting or anything, "But if we end up having to do some weird extra credit thing later on, I'm blamin' you."
"Noted." Husk chuckled as he grabbed the mystery bag and headed upstairs, Angel's hand still in his.
Angel had only been in Husk's room a handful of times but he'd made a game of trying to see if anything was new or even remotely out of place whenever he entered. The small space was so uniformly neat and organised it was almost like a display rather than an actual living space. Part of Angel wondered if it was a control thing - he used to seek some semblance of control over what entered his body and when and what he'd remember through drink and drugs, why couldn't this be Husk's way? It seemed kind of funny now that the old him probably would've purposely moved things around or hidden something, just to fuck with the other.
"Sooo.... anything specific in that fuzzy head or ya just wanna bask in my presence?"
"So fucking humble." Husk opened up a laptop Angel hadn't noticed sat on the bed before now, "And I was thinkin' a movie. You in?"
"Sure. Surprised Al lets ya have one a those. Y'know, with the whole hatin' any tech after the 40's schtick." Angel said as he settled at the head of the bed, using one set of arms to attempt to plump up Husk's measly excuse for pillows.
"Borrowed it." Husk answered, not giving any details about who from (although Angel had a pretty solid idea if the rainbow and heart stickers were anything to go by).
"Oh my fuckin' God. How dense is this broad?" Angel laughed, throwing his head back against Husk's shoulder after having decided the cat was comfier to lean on than his flat pillows, Husk's arm resting on the low headboard behind them, "The guy's been pining since like, day one!"
"I think the dialogue's maybe one step up from the shit they have you spewin' and that's a low fuckin' bar!"
"Hey, it's all in the delivery, an' I got toys that ain't as stiff as these two." Angel crunched on a strawberry lollipop as the two protagonists acted out yet another 'cute' encounter like they had a gun pointed at their heads, "Y'know I'm surprised ya agreed ta this one. I didn't think it'd be your kinda thing."
"It ain't, but the fact it's so bad it's funny is makin' it bearable."
Angel hummed in agreement, snuggling further into Husk's chest fur as the female protagonists stereotypical gay BFF was laying the truth out for her in that the casual 'not a date' had totally been a date.
"Girl, he invited you over, made sure you weren't going to be interrupted, got you your favourite foods -"
Angel snuck a glance at the various wrappers covering the bed after he'd finally been given permission to dump out the contents of the bag.
"Jeez Husk, you raid a candy store an' just grab anythin' pink?"
"...no."
"Oh my god, you just grabbed anythin' pink!"
"I didn't know what you'd like. Seemed a safe bet."
"Well, well, ain't we the cocky one? Ya that sure I was gonna say yes? And ya bet payed off, just so ya know."
"-sat through something he knew would make him want to gouge his eyes out 'cos he knew you'd like it. How many more clues do you need?!"
Angel blinked, this insult to romcoms suddenly feeling a little too on the nose. Husk clearly felt the same if the way he was suddenly showing great interest in the acid rain falling outside was any indication.
"Wait...Husk, is this a date?"
Husk's tail twitched as he bought his attention to the other demon, cheeks slightly pink under his fur and ears dipped slightly, "It can be, if ya want. Or it can just be two friends hangin' out, rippin' a terrible movie to shreds. Your call."
Angel moved slowly, partly because of his leg and partly because he didn't want to spook the other as he sat himself in Husk's lap, mindful not to let his expression slip into the lewd mask he usually had to wear when he was practically straddling someone on a bed as he cupped Husk's jaw so the cat couldn't look anywhere but at him, "Yeah. I want."

Head tilted to the side, resting against the banister, you finally perked up when the figure you had been waiting for finally appeared, “Peter!” you shot up from your spot at the top of the stairwell, “hi!”
Faintly startled by your unexpected presence, he quickly plucked out the ear pods and sputtered, “oh, hey, Y/n,” slowly climbing the remainder of the steps as he carefully found your eye, “what’s, um-, what’s up? Why are you sitting out here?”
Sucking in a deep breath, you asked him straight out, “are you busy right now?”
“No,” he drew out in a curious tone.
“Really?” your smile grew, “okay, well, I kinda have something I wanna show you.”
“Me? You-, you wanna show me?” his eyebrows shot up as he gesticulated towards himself, “uh, alright.”
Ushering him with you, it didn’t take long before you were both stepping over the threshold into your apartment, your legs instantly carrying you towards the fridge.
Ripping it open, you grabbed the tall treat dominating the entire middle shelf and gingerly turned to present it to your neighbour, “tada!”
“Wow, that’s-,” taking in the airy cream and fresh berries adorning the top, he blurted, “you baked a cake!” though still with an air of confusion as to why you wanted him to witness it.
“I baked you a cake,” you clarified.
Mouth falling open, he uttered, “you what?”
“Happy birthday,” you said giddily, though your grin swiftly melted as he just continued to stand there completely and utterly stunned, “oh, wait, is it not your birthday?” you checked nervously, “I just remember that you told me you’re a leo,” you rambled, thinking back to the day that he moved in and the random things your scattered brain thought was crucial to ask him, for some reason questions about his astrological chart and his favourite movie as a child happened to be the kind of queries you bombarded your new neighbour with as soon as you first met him, “and then a few weeks ago I just couldn’t stop thinking about it and so I asked our landlord, and he said the 10th of August, but maybe he was wrong…”
As if finally coming back to life, Peter breathed, “you baked me a cake?”
“Yeah…” embarrassment bubbling within your belly, you sat the heavy platter down on the counter, “so when is it really your birthday? I can bake you another one then if you want, unless you don’t like cake in which I can whip up something else, anything you’d-,”
“No, it is my birthday today,” he informed you, interrupting your babbling offer.
“It is?” you felt the nauseating butterflies begin to settle within your stomach.
“It is,” he finally returned your smile, “and I do like cake by the way.”
“Oh well, happy birthday then!” you pushed the cake towards him, “do you have any fun plans?”
“No,” he glanced down at the baked good and thought out loud, “I honestly haven’t really been looking at what date it is lately, I mean, I knew it would happen sometime around this week, but I didn’t know it was today…”
“Oh…” you then awkwardly found yourself offering, “well, I can be your personal calendar any time, if you’re interested,” instantly wincing at yourself, your cheeks heating up at how awkwardly swoon-worthy your spurted words had sounded, “anyways, this is yours,” you gestured to the cake, hoping to draw attention away from your flush, “take it and go enjoy your birthday, and I won’t take up any more of your precious time.”
Cake in hand, Peter stopped again before he could reach the exit, “hey Y/n?”
“Hm?” you glanced up, hoping that the blush had faded by now.
“Are you busy right now?” he softly echoed your question from before out in the hallway, “because, I mean, this is a lot of cake, and it would look pretty sad if I just sat and ate it all by myself.”
“Really?” you sucked in an excited breath, immediately grinning from ear to ear, “yeah! Yes! Of course-, I mean,” you finally noticed your blatant eagerness and attempted to recover with a graceless, “uh, sure, that sounds lovely, of course I’ll hang out with you on your day of birth…”

Something was tugging on Y/N's conscious, something that wanted her to wake up. Her mind was starting to fight against it, but no matter how hard she tried, it did not seem to work. No, she didn't wanna wake up in that miserable place again. If reality hit her one more time, that noone came to save her, that noone was even looking for her, she probably could not take it. But there was nothing she could do to stop it.
The first thing she felt was her body. It felt heavy and her muscles ached. But something was wrong with the position she seemed to be in. Had her chair tripped over?
Next was a weird beeping sound that got rapidly louder and louder. And when she finally opened her eyes she was greeted with a clean white ceiling and white walls. The disgusting smell was gone, too. She wanted to lift a hand but it did not quite work out and a low groan left her mouth.
"Y/N!" within seconds Annie's face was in her view and she looked relieved. "You're awake!"
"What..." she croaked, but her voice was not as strong as it used to be.
"You're in the hospital. You're going to get all better, girl."
Y/N was in the hospital? With a little panic she turned her head and took a look around the room. Now Marvin was also standing next to her bed and smiled softly down to her. She was hooked on a couple machines and an IV was hanging from her left arm. Taking in a couple of deep breaths Y/N waited for the blow, but nothing happened.
"Is... is this real?" she whispered and Annie's smile fell a little.
"It is." Marvin said. "But it was practically last second."
With that validation tears started to prick her eyes and she closed them for a moment. Relieve flooded her body and mind and she could not control the sobs that now shaked her body. So, her last memory that she thought was a halluzination had been real. She actually could not believe it. But then another thought came to mind.
"Where... where is Ben?"
Upon that question M.M. und Annie shared a quick look before the blonde supe answered.
"He's out on a misssion and won't be back for another week."
What? He was not even here? If that did not speak for itself. He was probably happy to be rid of her. Why would he care for her health anyway?
"How long... have I been... here?"
"Six days." A doctor was standing in the doorway, smiling gently. "Good morning, Ms Y/L/N. I'm doctor Henrickson."
He stepped in and closed the door behind him. With a quick glanze he checked her vitals before he gave Y/N a once over. A short nod signaled that he was satisfied with what he wrote down on his pad. He brought the small stool over that stood in the corner and sat himself down next to the bed. Annie went over to the other side to where Marvin was standing.
"You really scared us all here." the doc stared to break the ice.
"I did not... intend to do... that." Y/N rasped and coughed a little.
"Does your throat hurt a lot?" he asked with a little frown.
Y/N only nodded her head.
"We'll get you something for that. It will take some time, but in a couple of days it should be gone."
"What's happened... to me?" Y/N finally wanted to know.
"You were dehydrated. If you remember, you were locked in a room for days." How could Y/N not remember this. "This led to your body gradually starting to shut down. The lack of water put a heavy strain on your liver and it began to fail. And just as your friends described it to me, you also had hallucinations. Which is not surprising, since the brain also suffers and contracts, so to speak."
Okay, this was more than she imagined, but she realised early on that something was wrong with her. Her discomfort was clearly written on Y/N's face, because the doctor placed his hand reassuringly on her arm.
"But don't worry. We took care of you immediately and did everything necessary. You will have to stay here for a few more days. At least until your water balance is right again and your muscles have relaxed. And when the time comes, you'll be back to your old self. Promised."
And as doctor Henrickson smiled, Y/N let out a sigh. At least it was really over now. Everything was over now.
"But there is just one thing I need to ask you." and the doc's smile faded a little. "When we examined you we discovered numerous bruises on your body. But there were no signs of sexual assault."
Y/N's eyes widened a little and M.M. and Annie shared a quick look.
"Have you been in an accident beforehand? They looked to be older, some of them already fadeing."
"No, ehm... I was not."
"It's from her boyfriend." Annie replied and looked a little upset at Y/N.
"I don't know if I like that explanation better." the doc anserwered.
"He's a supe." Y/N said and now the man's eyes widened a little. "It took him some time... to control his strength. But... he never hurt me."
She never believed that she would be so embarassed about the markings Ben had put on her body. Some were accidental, others very calculated. And in the heat of the moment him talking about marking her up for everyone to see it made her just a bit more horny. But know she just wanted to disappear into a hole in the ground.
"Well, okay. That's not the first time I heard that." Doctor Henrickson said as he stood up and put the stool back into it's place. "I'm gonna leave you to rest now. And I think it would be better if your friends would do the same." he said with a pointed look at M.M. and Annie.
"We'll be back." Marvin said.
"And I'll bring you delicious food." Annie promised and squeezed Y/N's hand reassuringly.
After they left and she was alone in her room again, Y/N did a deep sigh and closed her eyes. But insight she was only wishing for Ben to visit her.
Tumblr media
Five days later Y/N was feeling way better, but she was still not able to leave. Her blood work was still a little off and they didn't want to risk it. But that was fine with her. The longer she stayed the more she hoped for Ben to show up. It probably was silly of her, but her stupid heart did not want to give up on that possibility.
She did not know how long he was gone for that mission he was on and Annie did not show up in person again due to her own missions, but she keept in touch with her via messages. Marvin had come visit her a couple times more, bringing the food that Annie had promised, but he also did not say to much. Reasoning that she needed to rest and get her mind off of theses things for now.
And that was what she had done. Y/N had been so tired that she sleept most of the time and with her muscles more and more relaxing she could do so better and better. Only her dreams made the rest a little difficult at night. A mixture of scenes from that room she was held captive and her halluzinations and become the fuel that nightmares lived off and startled her awake more than once. But sometimes it was like she felt a warm hand on her cheek that calmed her and the wild pictures in her head down so much that she slept peacefully for the rest of the night.
She didn't even felt the need to watch TV, she just wanted to rest and hear from Ben. But as it seemed she could have only one of these two things.
Her mom and Caroline visited her multiple times and she knew that her Mom especially would lash out on her. Her worries in the beginning of the whole thing to be to dangerous just confirment with all this that happened to Y/N. And she understood her. After what happened to her sister, everything with Vought included was just dangerous. But in the end everyone was just glad and happy that she was alive and okay now.
Right now her mom was pushing her with a wheelchair through the hospital to get outside to the park and get some fresh air. Eventhough she did not really want to leave her room, she also felt like she could not lay in her bed anymore. To be able to feel the late november wind and a little bit of sun on her face sounded just so good, that Y/N could not say no to it. For her the wheelchair was unnessecary, but the doctor insisted on it.
When both women came out of the hospital they were greeted with crispy cold tempretures but it was definitly refreshing. There weren't a lot of people out with them and Y/N welcomed that. For the first time since the kidnapping she felt like she could breath freely. Her mom didn't say much, but the silence was not uncomfortable.
On the contrary, she loved hearing the sounds of nature. The birds chirping that stayed over winter, the wind whistling through the trees and leaves and also the cars driving back and forth. It helped her realize that she was truly free again and that the ordeal of her kidnapping was over. They stayed outside for at least thirty minutes before they headed back in.
"When will you be released?" Her mother asked while she was pushing the wheelchair back to the front of the hospital.
"Not sure. My blood values are still not the best. And until that isn't top notch again, I have to stay here."
"Okay... because I was thinking... when you get released, don't you want to come back home for some time?"
Upon that question Y/N did not quite know what to answer. The idea sounded really nice. Getting back to full health in her old home, where she knew every centimeter and recognized every smell. Diving back into that comfort and safety was so tempting. But if she would agree to that, then she would minimize the chance for a certain supe to contact or see her again.
But before she could think about that more, she saw the television while passing through the waiting area. Some people were standing infront of it and she heared some pieces of their conversations. But that was not what got her frowning. It was the headline on the bottom of the screen. In big, bold letters she read: "One week after Homelanders death. What will happen now?"
Homelander was dead?
Tumblr media
"Finally we see eachother." Homelander said as he fully turned to Ben. "I've been looking for you, you know?" he grinned with a pointed finger into the other supe's direction.
"Mh-hm." the older one answered unimpressed. "You still not over the 'licking-my-ass' phase? Get a life, buddy."
People were screaming and running around. The children that had been in the school just mere minutes ago were all over the place, standing in groupes or alone, crying for their parents. Cars started to approach, worried parents behind the steeringwheel, picking up some of the kids and their friends before they flew the scene again. It was chaotic, but Ben tried to stay calm and keep Homelanders attention at himself.
"I did some digging! About you about me... my name is John, acutally." Homelander continued as he started to pace back and forth a little bit.
"And I don't fucking care." Ben said unaffected as he saw several black SUVs pulling up out of the corner of his eye.
John's grin faltered and his gaze turned a little angry. "How can you say that?"
Meanwhile, three helicopters were circling above their heads, broadcasting the highly dramatic and tense situation live. Ben did not see M.M. and his daughter anymore, hopeing somewhat that they already gotten away. But Ryan was still standing at the window looking down to both men.
"How can you say that? We're family!" Homelander argued and his breathing started to become heavier. "You, me and Ryan... we're charing the same DNA."
"Just because someone played fucking Contamination in real life with my DNA doesn't mean that we're family. And you raping a woman out of display of power over Butcher doesn't make Ryan your son. The poor fella probably still doesn't know about that."
Okay, Ben knew that he should be the last one to be blaming someone with that, 'cause he too did not hold back once. He did pretty shitty things, to say the least. But that was his old self. The Soldier Boy who thought that nothing could get to him, that he was truly untouchable. And eventhough he was invincible, his heart and soul were not. At least what was left of it.
"What?" both men could hear from above their heads, realizing that Ryan indeed heared what they had said to eachother.
Meanwhile, Marvin had brought Janine into the safety of his car. But his eyes were still on Soldier Boy and Homelander. Janine was trying to get into his car, but M.M. had not unlocked the door yet.
"Dad!" she screamed a little panicked. "Let's go!"
However, before he could answer they heard the honking of a car behind them and turned their heads. Monique stopped infront of them, hastly getting out of the car and calling out for her daughter. Janine did not need to think twice and ran straight to her mother, letting herself be embraced by her open arms that closed securely around her.
Both females were calling out for M.M. now and he was almost on his way to go over to them and get into the car as well, as he took one last look back to the supes. And when he saw that the already heated conversation now started to explode and become a physical one, he sighed heavily. Ben had saved his daughter. He owed him.
"This motherfucker..." he sweared and turned back to Monique and his daughter. "GO! Get her out of here!"
"DAD!" Janine screamed, but Marvin just smiled a little. "I'll see you later! I promise!" and then he ran to the back of his car and opened the trunk to get to his weapons.
Ben ducked at Homelander's first attempt to laser through his body, just to run towards him and land a punch his stomache. John took the blow in surprise and struggled to keep standing on his feet. In that moment of unwariness Ben saw a familiar face running towards him. It was Harlow who threw him a replica of his old shield that he caught with no problem. It was much lighter and the surface had a strange silver sheen to it. And it should not take long for him to realize why it was silvery like that.
As soon as Homelander was standing stabil again he used his laser eyes once more. Ben used his shield right away for his own protection and in the moment the laser hit it's surfsace, it threw it back, hitting the wall of the school and burning a bick rip into it. Well, that was new.
And while both men recovered from the surprise, sudden gunfire was opened on them. Not that it did any harm to both, but the ammunition was concetrated more on Homelander which disturbed him quite a bit. Ben observed his surroundings and saw not just his men that sprang into action, Mallory had sent some of her men too, starting to escort as many people as possible out of the danger zone. So, while Homelander tried to shield his face from the bullets hitting him, Ben again attacked him.
M.M. shot with his machine gun from behind the cars he was passing to get a better angle to hit Homelander and stay somewhat invisible. But then there was a black van that came to a stop right next to Marvin. He paused and locked with the backdoor of the van, ready to shoot if needed. But as the doors opened, surprise was showing on his face.
"Hello, mon ami!" greeted Frenchie M.M. with his charming smile.
Next to him was a big weapon that looked like a oversized bazuka merged with a grenate launcher. He petted it like it was his new favorite toy.
"What the fuck is that?" Marvin asked as he came over to the van and hid behind the open door.
"Just a little something Grace had me working on. It's a blaster that works like the old man's glowing chest. At least that's what I tried to do." Frenchie grinned. "You want to help me shoot that on Homelander to see if it works?"
He did not need to ask Marvin twice. But they needed to make sure that Soldier Boy was out of the firing line. So Marvin told him to get ready, picked up his machine gun again and made his way forward to where Johnson and Harlow were firing their guns.
That's when Ben saw M.M. still being there and helping him out with Homelander, while he held his 'son' on the ground with his shield over his face to avoid the laser. He could not hear what they were talking about and Homelander was starting to break free from Ben's hold, but it did not took long for Johnson to signalize him the plan. So with one last push down Ben jumped up from the body underneath, clearing the way for Frenchie and M.M..
They did not wait any second, Marvin pulled the trigger while Frenchie full on pointed at Homelander. The yellow glowing beam shot out of the weapon and hit him square in the chest. For a split second it looked like that nothing would happen, but then you could see how his suit started to break open and the beam began to burn his bare chest. John started to cry out his anger and shot his lasers all over the place.
Frenchie's weapon died down and Ben sprang back into action, trying to redirect the lasers away from the men that surrounded them. Unfortunatley one of the helicopters over their heads got hit from a red beam and instantly lost his tail boom. It crashed just mere meters away from the school building to the ground.
That little distraction was enough for Homelander to get back on his feet and pushing Ben out of the way. Having him crashing into the school and loosing his shield out of his hands. But Homelander's attention was no longer on Ben, he was now looking to the van on the other side of the street where Frenchie and M.M. were still standing with the blaster in their hands.
"C'mon, Frenchie! We need to shoot NOW!"
"I know, I kow! But it's not working!"
While both the men were arguing with eachother, Homelander started walking towards them.
"You think you can destroy me? ME?" His eyes started to glow red again. "I'm going to show you what I can do to you!"
But before he could even do anything, a red laser shot through his right arm, leaving an open gashing wound and making the arm immobile. He screamed in pain as he turned around to see who did that. But when he saw Ryan's eyes become normal again, he did not know what to say.
"You are not going to hurt them." the blonde boy says.
With his left hand over the wound John tried to steady his useless arm. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"You lied to me." Ryan replied and his chest was heaving a little. "You raped my mom!"
"Don't tell me you believe what that bastard said. We are family, Ryan!"
"NO!" Ryan walked closer to his father, turning him away from the school. "My mom was my family. Butcher... and the others were my family."
Upon those words immense anger rushed over Homelanders face and he seemed determaned. "Oh, were they? To bad."
And within seconds Homelander shot his lasers towards M.M. and Frenchie. But just before they could hit them, Homelander screamed in pain again and fell to his knees. Ryan had used his lasers a second time on his legs. Once John had recovered from the impact he furiously started to shoot his own lasers against Ryan. But the boy jumped out of the field of fire in time.
"What's wrong? Now you don't have such a big mouth anymore, do you?" he spat out at his son and aimed again for him.
But as he realized that a yellow glow started to surround him, he opened his eyes wide and turned around to look behind him.
"He doesn't need to." Ben pressed out and one second later his chest glowed up in full power and vaporised Homelander so fast that he didn't get the chance to react anymore.
His body exploded in pink dust within a second and the silence that followed was deafening. But the reality was broadcasted live on tv.
Homelander was dead. Once and for all.

The Green Out
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: bill and y/n try smoking weed for the first time, it ends up in an unexpected panic.
WARNING : teen smoking, mild peer pressure, cannabis overdose (non fatal), panic attacks. please skip this one if you know this will trigger you.
It was like any other school day, y/n and bill; who are the bestest of friends, had went through another school day and now it was time to go home. This day specifically y/n was going to sleepover at bills house for like the 50 millionth time since they became friends. As they were walking to bills they come across a group of familiar kids in the alleyway five houses down from bills. These kids were familiar, they were the sophomores at the high school bill and y/n attend. For some reason they both had the urge to walk over to them, so they did just that.
“Hey guys” y/n greets them with an innocent smile, “what are you guys doing?” a boy with a black hoodie and beanie answers, “nothing much but, you know you guys aren’t supposed to be here right?” bill and y/n raise their eyebrows. “what do you mean by that?” bill asks curiously, crossing his arms as he waited for an answer. “w-well” “just leave them be, they’re fine” a girl with purple hair cuts off the guy. “okay fine” the boy with the beanie rolls his eyes and takes a hit of a small cone looking thing, it resembled a cigarette. “is that a cigarette?” y/n asks, “no even better, it’s a joint. wanna try?” bills eyes widen at the boy’s offer “u-um y/n..” he whispers, “I don’t think we should” “what’re you? Her dad?” The boy cuts bill off and scoffs at him before looking back at y/n, a charming smile formed on his face. Almost hypnotizing y/n. “U-um, I don’t know..” she hesitates, then looks to bill. “I’ll only do it if you do it.” bill hesitates as well, then the purple haired girl gets closer to bill. “cmon, don’t be shy. the weed won’t bite you..” the soothing, seductive voice the girl had almost put bill in a trance. The two kids agreed after heavy hesitation.
The sophomores hand them the joints, “put it to your mouths..” y/n and bill place the joint in their mouths, the boy lights each joint carefully. “Now inhale..” the kids did just that, a burning sensation stinging their throat, causing both of them to take the joints out of their mouths. Just as they were about to cough, the girl covers their mouth. “Hold it in until you count to five” the kids obeyed her instructions, holding it in for as long as they could. Then they exhale in heavy nasty coughs, the stinging sensation caused their eyes to water. But really it wasn’t that bad
“you’ll get used to it after a bit” the boy pats their shoulders, “let’s go somewhere more..private” the girl suggested, the sophomores lead bill and y/n to the woods behind the alley, finding a spot where no one can see. they all sat down on the soft grass, beginning to smoke more, taking more hits from the joints. Y/n starts to feel funny, like she was floating but her body was still on the ground. Bill feels the same way, he laughs to himself. He looks to y/n, her eyes bloodshot red. “woah! look at your eyes” “what’s wrong with my eyes?” she slurred, then looks to the sophomores. “Oh yea, weed makes your eyes red, it won’t last long don’t worry” the girl says as she takes another hit of her joint. “wanna try something even cooler?” The boy suggests, “yea sure, what is it?” Y/n asks “they’re weed gummies, edibles” the boy brings them out of his back pack, “do they taste good?” bill asks curiously, “yea! They taste like gummy worms, you want some?” the girl says, “yea sure but just a little for me” bill politely accepts.
He gets two gummies, chewing them and then swallowing them. Furthering the high that was already there, y/n gets a handful out of the bag. “hey y/n/n, don’t you think that’s too much?” bill places a hand on her shoulder. “cmon billy, it can’t be that bad can it?” y/n says with a drugged smile, her eyes so red it looked like she was crying. Bill sighs, just looking at her to let him know that she’ll be okay. Y/n puts them all in her mouth chewing them and swallowing them. They kick in almost five minutes later, hitting her like a wave. She lays back on the grass, looking up at the sky as she began to feel funnier. Too funny.
She felt lightheaded, and everything around her began to move very slowly. “woah..” she whispered to herself. a smile forming on her drugged face, she looked to her left, where bill was and just admired him. She always stared at bill, not in a romantic way but in a admiring way, bill always made sure she did the right choices. He was the sun to her moon, even though bill had a twin brother, y/n and bill were like the same person, in different bodies. Bill looked back and smiled, before looking around his area. Y/n looked back up at the sky, her smile slowly fading as she felt pressure in her chest. She tried to brush it off, thinking it was normal, until it became to the point where she couldn’t move. The pressure on her chest became worse, her breathing became heavier to the point where you could hear her dry throat as she inhaled. bill looks at her, “y/n/n, are you okay?” he asks, slightly worried. She couldn’t even move, she can’t get her vocal chords to make out any sound.
Bills eyes widen, “y/n, what’s wrong?” he shakes her a bit. It doesn’t work, he begins to panic. He looks at the sophomores “w-what’s wrong with her?” The sophomores look to her, no emotion on their faces “she’s just greening out man, chill.” The boy says, brushing it off. y/n’s body began to shake, tears spilling out of her eyes as she tried to make a sound, still. Nothing was coming out. Bill gets even more scared, “n-no there- there’s something wrong with her, we need to go get help” he says, his voice shaking as he was about to cry. The girl’s eyes widen and she grabs him by the shirt, “listen here you little shit, we’re not gonna tell anyone and you won’t tell anybody about this. Do you understand?” bill gets shaken by this, “b-but” “but nothing, we all could get in huge trouble if someone knows about this, and you know snitches get stitches right?” bill was so scared he didn’t even say a word, the girl let’s go of him. “Let’s go” she tells the boy, he gets up and grabs his stuff as they get up to leave. “w-wait, you can’t leave me here! I don’t know what to do!” bill yells, panicked. “I don’t know man, just figure it out” the boy in the beanie says, laughing as him and the girl walked away.
Bill is distraught, he has no idea what to do. He looks back at y/n. Who is still actively overdosing, he goes to hold her shaking body. “It’s okay y/n, everything will be okay. Just hold on for me please” he says while crying, holding her as tight as he could, her heavy breathing ringing through his ears. He felt her body go limp in his arms, “nonononono y/n/n stay with me, I c-cant lose you” he cries, trying to sooth her back into health. he holds her a baby, cradling her in his arms, she slowly looks up at him as her own tears flew down her face, still actively trying to get a noise out of her vocal chords.
Y/n’s mind was full of chaos, she could hear her subconscious mind screaming for bill to hear her, but nothing is coming out. Her lungs felt as if they were going to collapse and on top of that, her ears mute bill’s voice with a loud buzzing noise. She felt as if she was going to die, her eyes slowly closing as she felt her body caving in, the brightness of the stars becoming brighter and then boom, she sees black.
Bill just sat there watching his best friend of almost five years, go out of consciousness right in his arms. He felt his own heart break, “no-no y/n..” he cried out. He laid his head on her chest, crying his eyes out, he felt as if he wanted to die too that night.
An hour later, of bill now asleep on y/n’s chest. She wakes up panicked, “bill?” she says, “bill, wake up.” She shakes him awake, bill is shaken awake, jumped a little by the unexpected awake. He rubs his eyes and sees a panicked y/n, “y-y/n, you’re okay!” he holds her, rocking her back and forth to calm her down. “I-I thought I was going to die, it was so scary” she cried into bill’s chest, holding onto him as tight as she could. “I know y/n/n, but it’s okay because you’re alive and safe with me. I got you, you know that” bill reassures her more as he feels her calm down
a few minutes later they go back on the path to bill’s house. “I’m never doing that again” y/n says, bill laughs “yea never.”

You hadn’t been in Port Angeles for long, about an hour at most. Your mom had dropped you off and told you to call her when you were ready to get picked up. She had errands of her own to run and didn’t want to drag you along or be dragged along to yours. Though that’s how it would normally go since it was just the two of you. Your older brother had gone off to college and your dad was in the wind.
You didn’t have many friends at school either deciding to lay low rather than mingle. You had hopes of moving out of town and going to college overseas, Cambridge to be exact. So the thought of friends seemed pointless when you’d be moving anyways. You did however have a couple unexpected acquaintances. The Cullen and Hale kids had for some reason grown to like you and you would occasionally spend time with Rosalie and Emmett or Alice.
When you mentioned to Rosalie and Emmett that you planned on running to Port Angeles they told you they might meet you. So it wasn’t a surprise when you got a message from Rosalie asking you where you were at. She also informed you it would only be her today as Emmett had to help Carlisie with something. You didn’t mind at all, it was always nice spending one on one time with Rosalie. You had a platonic relationship with the beautiful blonde. Until it turned more flirty with each other.
She had been the one to first initiate the banter. Which came as quite a shock to you since she was in a relationship with Emmett. But he never seemed to mind much and even encouraged the solo dates between you and his girlfriend. She had mentioned once that they had an open relationship and were free to do as they please.
That was a little shocking to you. Took some time for you to wrap your head around the fact you could still be friends with the beefy man and hopefully one day romantically involved with the goddess of a woman you had a massive crush on. You snapped back to reality when you felt your phone buzz again. You looked down seeing the message from Rosalie letting you know she was walking into the shop now.
“Hello there, gorgeous.” You heard her voice before you saw her. Turning you took her in hungrily. She always dressed so well, though you imagined she could be in a paper sack and still look like a walking god.
“Hiya Honey.” You replied, sending a wink her way. She gave you a teasing smile, pretty white teeth on full display.
“Let’s get going now. Alice needs me to pick up a few things for her while we’re out. I really don't want to hear her nag at me for taking forever.” You laughed heartily at her, knowing Alice she’d probably already texted the blonde a couple times asking where she was.
“Let’s go then.” She tucked her arm into your own before dragging you through the rows of clothes. She grabbed some that she wanted to see you in. You grabbed some you wanted to see her in. You had a mini fashion show in the dressing rooms. Compliments swimming through the air at each other as you went along.
“Are you hungry?” She asked you after another hour of shopping had passed. You shook your head humming in reply. She always made sure you were taken care of. It made your stomach tie up in nervous knots every time she cared for you.
“Wanna go and look at that book shop across town?” You perked up at that question. You were a fiend for a good book and Rosalie knew this. It was one of the many things she adored about you. A good contrast to the tall, muscular man she called her mate.
“Oh, can we please?” You begged her, grabbing at her jacket dramatically. She rolled her eyes as a small smile graced her lips.
“Of course we can darling.” She started leading you down the streets towards her car to drive you both to the bookstore. You were asking her about Emmett when you felt someone bump your shoulder. You stumbled a little but Rosalie caught you by your arm steadying you quickly.
“Are you fucking blind? Watch where you’re fucking going bitch.” The guy spat out at you. Rose was moving towards him before you had time to process the words. She grabbed his arm harshly. The guy winced as she squeezed her fingers around his bicep.
“What did you just say?” Her voice was stone cold as she spoke. His eyes flicked over towards you.
“I told the bitch to watch where she’s fucking going. She’s obviously fucking blind since she walked right into me.” You shrank back at the glare his eyes pointed at you.
“Apologize to her now.” You weren’t surprised at the authority laced into her tone. She had always carried an authoritative aura. This guy didn’t seem to take her seriously as he gave you another glare before he let out an awkward laugh.
“It was just a joke. Come on babe you know it was a joke right?” He asked you playfully, hoping you would save him from the blonde in between the two of you. You shook your head at him with wide eyes.
“Do you see her laughing?” She paused for a moment flicking her eyes towards you briefly. He shook his head this time as her hand gripped his arm even harder.
“Okay, then. Stop. Apologize to her now and I’ll let go.” She waited for a moment staring into his eyes.
“I’m sorry I ran into you. It won’t happen again.” You nodded your head in approval as Rosalie looked at you expectantly.
“Go in the car, I’ll be with you in about five minutes.” The blonde said to you with a reassuring smile. You knew better than to argue with her so you agreed promptly.
“Alright, try to hurry though. You don’t want to be late for Alice.” Your voice finally came back as you started walking down the street for her car. You saw her lead the guy into an alley as you got settled into the passenger seat. Then they were both exiting and he was holding his arm to his chest.
“You okay?” She asked as she slipped into the car. Not a single hair was out of place as she settled into her seat.
“I’m okay. What happened to him?” You said as you nodded your head towards the alleyway she just exited.
“He fell.” Was all she said in reply. Though you knew she had done something else to him.
“Thank you for helping me.” You grabbed her icy hand in your warm one giving her a grateful smile. She twisted her body so she was facing you better.
“I will do everything in my power to keep you safe.” She told you tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You leaned into her cold touch enjoying the affection from her. You had been used to random touch here and there but they had mostly felt friendly. This felt intimate, romantic and hopeful.
“I know you will, Rose, I know.” There was no doubt in your mind that she would do anything she had to to make sure you were safe and happy. Even if it meant hiding the fact she and her family were vampires from you.
A/N: Uhm this woman right here was my real Bi awakening. I saw her and Emmett on screen and said oh holy fuck. I knew I was a goner the second I laid eyes on her. She is my beautiful wife and I will not be told otherwise. Also happy woman crush wednesday!
