i had the most interesting cinematic experience today
#been getting really into slashers recently and its been enlightening#had one that was pretty fun but lost momentum fast cos it couldnt decide between camp and serious#then the next one i watched was one i found while searching for another one in the same series#the second one was from a different series with a similar villain#and 4 minutes in it slapped me with being some bizarre concoction that can only be described as#a dailywire adjacent movie made by the most unfunny director possible#it was a ''horror'' ''comedy''#the kind of thing that is written by one guy and is just a vehicle for the most inane takes#embodied all the worst parts of horror fans like the people who like things simply cos theyre offensive#as if being a mean bigot who revels in edginess is badass and subversive#started watching ghoulies again as a palate cleanser but at that point i was sleepy#ghoulies is a really fun one#everyone go watch ghoulies#and beware of two specific slasher series that feature a villain in a bunny suit#the first 10 minutes of bunnyman massacre are so fun but then it slows down#tried to find bunnyman 1 and ran into serial rabbit#serial rabbit is not good

Horror Movie Review: Bunnyman Vengeance (2017)
Following on from 2011’s Bunnyman and 2014’s Bunnyman Massacre, Bunnyman Vengeance wraps up the trilogy in uninspired and forgettable fashion.
The third (and currently final entry) in the Bunnyman series, Bunnyman Vengeance comes from writer/director Carl Lindbergh and stars Michael Shaun Sandy, Omari Washington, and Joshua Lang. Following on from 2011’s Bunnyman and 2014’s Bunnyman Massacre, Bunnyman Vengeance wraps up the trilogy in uninspired and forgettable fashion. It’s not been a great series of the movies but at least this entry…

are you absolutely 100% sure that this was 'unintentionally' hilarious as opposed to 'going as far out of their way as possible to make this as ridiculous and silly as possible' hilarious
genuine question because I've never heard of nor seen this movie prior to literally right now
i know my three minute video i posted probably indicates otherwise, but i actually do believe that the bunnyman massacre was a sincere attempt at a film and not done as a joke
dont get me wrong: it was objectively bad. it was a poorly written, low-budget film that likely spent half of the funds on fake blood, and the two main antagonists are a guy in a bunnysuit and a hick. BUT THAT BEING SAID: it had some genuinely interesting moments. you definitely didn’t ask for this but let me tell you about it
so one of the major plotlines is the two sisters (lauren and sarah) recently lost their parents and are hiking in the woods when they are captured by the bunnyman and his partner in crime, the hick. to save her and her sister’s life, the older sister (sarah) agrees to lure three different women to the bunnyman and the hick in exchange for their freedom. both sides surprisingly hold up the end of their bargain, and the two sisters are allowed to go free.
after being set free, lauren is disgusted with sarah and wants to return to the murder barn to save the three women that sarah helped capture. the two sisters ultimately fail and they end up recaptured, and the three other women are killed in various, ridiculous ways (and i mean RIDICULOUS)
lauren and sarah manage to escape (again) during the death of the third woman. stuff happens but here’s the final standoff scene: sarah has a gun with only two bullets in it. her and lauren are being hunted by the bunnyman. sarah takes a shot at the bunnyman, misses, and lauren is subsequently killed. the bunnyman then turns to attack sarah, who now has him properly held at gunpoint with a single bullet left in the chamber.
now here’s where the film surprised me, rather than shooting the bunnyman and becoming The Final Girl, sarah turns the gun on herself, and shoots herself. the bunnyman appears to be visibly upset (as much as you can be in a bunnysuit) by the choice.
while this is happening, the hick and a cop also have a standoff. it’s pretty ridiculous, because at one point the cop has the hick held at point blank, but then they decide to settle the situation “like men” and they have a western style gun duel like. 2 meters apart. and it’s the cop with a pistol vs. the hick with a fucking sniper rifle.
the hick kills the cop, but is also mortally wounded. the bunnyman returns to find him wounded, and the hick encourages the bunnyman to shoot him, which the bunnyman does
the bunnyman then has a touching ending scene in which he stares over the mountains at sunset, and watches a school bus pass. (the opening scene of the movie was the bunnyman slaughtering a school bus of children with a chainsaw, so this is thematically relevant) and the bunnyman then has a montage scene of his slaughters/good times with his dead partner, and his dead family (it was revealed earlier in the movie that the bunnyman’s wife and kids were tragically killed). everything about this was done so sincerely. so yeah what an ending
anyways if you made it to the end here enjoy some actual shots from the ending of the film

what’s an unexplained event/conspiracy theory/urban legend you can’t shake the feeling that there might be something to it? one you can’t believe anyone gives any time to at all? a notorious “haunted” location you’d like to check out? any you’d be willing to spend the night in? what’s the first famous murder or disappearance you remember hearing about and how old were you? what’s the creepiest/most malevolent instrumentals-only piece of music you can think of? what’s a horror movie from the last decade you think is overrated? what’s a trope or concept in horror you think is really effective and is underutilized (books movies tv, any or all)?
SOPHIE I COULD KISS YOU ON THE FACE OKAY SO
i'm replying to each question like i'm greentexting because idk it's funnier
>Most hauntings i can't believe anyone gives any time to at all, i'm naturally a Scully so it takes a lot to convince me and it's usually so obviously fraud. Anything investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren i especially hate >It depends what you mean by "something to it" like the death of Cecil Lam, suaimhneas siorai di, i fully believe she was fucking murdered and the cops fucked the investigation and i'm still angry about it, but i don't believe anything supernatural was involved. The Valentich Disappearance had me going for a while, but i guess it turns out he probably faked it and was an avid UFO enthusiast soooo shrug emoji >I would love to go on a ghost tour of New Orleans. There's no one specific location that i'm like YES GIVE IT TO ME but i'd love to go to New Orleans for haunting type shit >I will spend the night in any haunted location i'm allowed to that wouldn't be insanely disrespectful i'd love that honestly >First disappearance i ever remember hearing about i was 7 and it was The Blair Witch Project so like lmaaoooo but noI think the first real urban legend/murder/anything i remember hearing about was The Bunnyman Bridge, since i actually live right nearby it so that shit was SCAAARYYY. Basically some guy who may or may not have been in a bunny mask or costume and may or may not have been a crackhead ran up on a couple random people and screamed at them for trespassing and menaced them with a hatchet. And of course that turned into a story about an escaped mental patient who killed people with an axe and hung up mutilated rabbit corpses in the woods and shit. I must have been...what, 7 or 8? Maybe younger? I can't remember. The first real crime i REALLY remember was the D.C. Sniper when i was 9 cause again, right near me. That shit TERRIFIED me as a kid i didn't wanna walk home from the bus stop cause i thought i was gonna get shot lmao >Most malevolent instrumental i can think of jeez that's a hard one i know the Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs soundtrack there are a lot of songs on that that are....there are some songs that are kind of beautiful, some that are tragic, but there's a lot in that game's soundtrack that's creepy as fuck >Horror movie i think is overrated...A Quiet Place. I mean don't get me wrong, i liked it, but it wasn't...y'know AMAZING. Left a lot to be desired. Also Bone Tomahawk which is more of a cult thing but like everyone who's heard of it loooooves it and i'm like okay it's really just that one scene though. One-scene wonder of a movie. Also racist. >PEOPLE DON'T USE ELDRITCH ABOMINATIONS ENOUGH or they don't use them right. Also i love the concept of never showing exactly what the monster is. It's often done poorly, which i think is what turns people off, but like At the Mountains of Madness, when the whole story just in the background there are these carvings of SOMETHING bad behind the mountains but the ancient aliens refuse to talk about it yeah it's a weird story and not much attention is drawn to it, and then at the very end the guy is in the plane and looks back and sees....................something and immediately goes stark raving screaming mad like that shit is haunting. Oh, there aren't enough movies like Underwater. I want sea monsters god fucking damn it.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

✨🎶🍓
✨- which fictional character (book, show, or movie) do you relate to most? TK at the moment, I'm going through my feral cat era (recovery's a bitch), it was Wednesday Addams growing up. 😅
🎶- favorite song right now? Echo and the Bunnyman - The Killing Moon (I blame Ronen)
🍓- one secret about yourself- I liked Nsync as a teen, sorry fellow goths, Lance's gay vibes were very enticing. 😔

15 Questions
tagged by stolen from @epersonae
1. Are you named after anyone?
My dead name is actually on a couple of gravestones, which I find ironic and hilarious. It’s a family name. My chosen name is after a video game character, soooooo yeah.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Yesterday, if you count crying from laughing. I was watching Secret Sleepover Society play One-Armed Cook, and it was the funniest thing since they played Super Bunnyman.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope, and I don’t regret it anymore either. I used to really want kids, but now that I’m an old man, I’m kind of...relieved I don’t have any? It’s much nicer having time to myself, lol.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
I’m tempted to say, “Nooooo, not ever,” but that seems a little cliche. Yeah, I use sarcasm
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Probably their hair.
6. What’s your eye color?
Blue-gray.
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
I like both a lot! How about a scary movie with a happy ending? I’d like that.
8. Any special talents?
Not especially! I’ve worked hard at the things I’m good at and less hard at the things that I’m mediocre at.
9. Where were you born?
In a hospital in Michigan.
10. What are your hobbies?
I like to draw, write, knit, play/watch people play video games, and listen to music.
11. Do you have any pets?
I have two cats, an orange tabby named Apollo and a black and white spotty cat named Pounce de Leon.
12. What sports do you play/have played?
I played some sports when I was a kid, but I was never any good at them. Mostly basketball and softball.
13. How tall are you?
5′10″
14. Favorite subject in school?
English and Art.
15. Dream job?
I don’t have one! Maybe if I was pressed to pick something, I’d say computer programming or graphic design? Those are both things I enjoy doing in my free time, so I might enjoy them as a job. Who knows.

i love this idea! thank you so much for the tag @vinthund 💙
sun:
1. the melting of the sun - st. vincent
2. solar power - lorde
3. the flesh failures (let the sunshine in) - galt macdermot & tom pierson (from hair: the musical)
i always tear up listening to it because it’s the last song sung by soldiers being shipped out to fight in the vietnam war. the line “i believe in god, and i believe that god believes in Claude, that’s me” is a callback to an earlier song but this time it isn’t Claude singing it’s his friend who accidentally gots shipped out in his place and dies instead
moon:
1. the killing moon - echo & the bunnyman
there’s an amazing edit of romance in horror movies to this song and that’s how i first fell in love with it (the channel makes a lot of amazing edits to songs i highly recommend) it also played at the end of yellowjackets season 2 and destroyed me😭
2. la luna enamorada - kali uchis
3. moon river - henry mancini
i’ve actually never seen breakfast at tiffany’s but this song played in the miniseries angels in america during a beautiful dream sequence
stars:
1. dying star (feat. ethel cain) - ashnikko
2. hello, shooting-star - moumoon
3. starry eyes - cigarettes after sex
sky wildcard:
cloud of unknowing (feat. bobby wamack & sinfonia viva) - gorillaz
“on the cloud of unknowing, every satellite up here is watching, waiting to see what the morning brings, may bring sunshine on its wings”

Sky notes
I´m starting another music tag game.
Look through your music collection and name your Top 3 song titles mentioning sun, moon and stars (in any language).
If you can´t find any song titles, try the album or EP name or band name instead.
To round it up to 10 songs, add a wildcard that is sky related and quote your favourite line. Alternatively, tell me about any sky related tradtitionals or native songs you know about too.
Then tag the people you think would have the most interesting music collection.
I start.
Sun:
Ode to the sun by Dredg
Solstice by Matt Berry
Die Sonne scheint by Die Apokalyptischen Reiter
Moon:
Vollmond by In Extremo
Brother Moon by Amorphis
The Moon by The Swell Season
Stars:
Hang me in the Tulsa county stars by John Moreland
Highway Star by Deep Purple
The light of a fading star by Flogging Molly
Sky wildcard:
Sky by The Rasmus
„I never thought I would get it together but finally now as I´m leaving, life has a meaning. I just wanted to see the sky open the one last time.“
I´m tagging @hotcat37 @morbid-things @bisonaari @smimon @teal-skull @katinkulta @zomb1edude @omppupiiras
If you haven´t been tagged and see this, you´re welcome to play along.
#this took me way longer than i thought it would#BUT IT WAS SO FUN#i would love to do more with different word themes#sorry for info dumping about hair the musical i actually wanted to use ‘aquarius’ in stars but decides i should only use#one song per artist/album#also to keep things interesting i didn’t use any songs i saw others already used#tag game#music tag game
