⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW *no spoilers* : 🐇 Following my recent review on Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, it seems fitting to also say my piece on the gothic novel it satirises. It is clear Austen was influenced by Radcliffe’s writing style even in her non-satirical works, so Northanger reads as more of a tongue-in-cheek love letter to the genre than a mockery of it. 🐇 Udolpho, a seminal gothic novel, plays a powerful role in establishing what is now recognised as the classic gothic stereotypes - a tortured heroine and a dastardly yet suave male antagonist, facing off within the confines of a shadowy arching mansion, itself set in the middle of a sprawling wilderness. These clichés persist even in contemporary writing for good reason. They are engaging set pieces for a narrative to be centred around, especially when the focus of the plot is of dark familial mystery and stolen inheritance. 🐇 As with many classic works, the wind-up to the main events of the plot is prolonged. Whilst it pays off, many readers fall to the wayside when faced with a 200-page foundation to cover before much happens. However, as with most things in life, if you stick to it the rewards are rich and well-deserved. 🐇 The characters, particularly the protagonist Emily and her father M. St. Aubert, are emotional creatures and frequently weep, faint, and press hands at the slightest provocation. It is perhaps a little too saccharine, but is effective in emphasising the contrast between St. Aubert and cold, calculating Montoni. 🐇 TLDR: A cornerstone of gothic literature, with all the accoutrements - tremulous damsels, devilish captors, valiant rescuers and looming castles in the middle of nowhere. Bunny Box Review #1 - Treats by Zuzu

The buns received their first bunny box in the mail today! Super excited to share our box with you all. 11/18/2017.

But first, a little about Treats by Zuzu

You can find them on Instagram or on their etsy page here 

Samantha, the owner, offers two options of boxes. Currently they are having a Christmas special, we ordered the Thanksgiving one! You could try the “Treats by Zuzu” box which includes strawberry, banana, carrot or a mix of all three flavored treats (30, 65 or 100 pieces), as well as a few Christmas gifts for the hoomins! Prices range from $5.99-$12.99 for this option. The second box Samantha offers is called “The Bunny Box” for $23.99. This box has the same organic treats listed above, as well as, a scented candle, bunny chew sticks and toy, bunny stickers and pendant and LED Christmas lights! Here are a couple pictures of each box:

Treats by Zuzu has excellent ratings online and has grown about 400 Instagram followers just this week!

Now - time for the review. 

We purchased the “Treats by Zuzu” box with 30 organic mixed treats!

Packaging - Super cute! Everything was wrapped nicely so nothing would damage during shipping. The thank you note with ice cream cones was adorable, can’t wait to add that to our love note wall! If you’d like to send us a letter, please message us on Instagram !

Website - Love etsy! So user friendly and easy to use. If you are looking for organic treats, Zuzu has you covered. Right now, they are offering a free custom made ornament with your bunnies name on it, perfect for Christmas.

This is what we got! The lake was a perfect spot to open a cute bunny box!

Price - We paid $4.99 for 30 treats and $3.00 for shipping. This is very comparable to the price of treats sold locally here.

Speed - We placed our order late Saturday night and got our package the following Friday! So happy we got it just in time for Thanksgiving. Super speedy!

Treats - The treats themselves look bunny delicious! The small pieces make them a quick and easy snack for the buns. Being organic, I can trust that my bunnies are eating a nice, healthy snack. Princess Midnight snatched her treat right out of my hand! These would be good treats to use if you are training your bunny to do something.

Extras - Each box by Zuzu has a few items for the owner. We got an adorable Thanksgiving mug and candy corn! The thank you note will be displayed on our love wall!

Recommendation - You should totally follow their Instagram page, as well as, place an order! I would recommend saving up and buying the bigger bunny box. I love that each box has a theme and I can’t wait to see what she has to offer in the future!
