In Memoriam: Buck Trent (1938 - 2023)
Charles Wilburn āBuckā Trent (February 17, 1938 ā October 9, 2023) was an American country music instrumentalist. He invented the electric banjo and also played the five-string banjo, dobro, steel guitar, mandolin, electric bass and guitar. Since Iām already dumping a bunch of sketches, here are a few more for the generic light fantasy au that lives inside my head rent freeĀ (aka my poor excuse to give Trent a sword) (read the captions and tags for a little more context)
#I just love making buck wild ausā¦.. my catnip#anyways time for the choppy lore dump#anyways the basis of this au is Trent is a mercenary that is hired by the Richmond fort to assess its garrison#only for him to be fucking flabbergasted by the head knight who seems to have little fighting experience at all#trent himself is like good at ending a fight very quickly#Heās quick and precise with a rapier ā¦ but the longer a duel goes on the less likely it is he will win it#he doesnāt want to be a mercenaryā¦ he wants to to be able to have a quiet life with his daughter and write about the world#anyhoo Ted has healing magic in thisā¦ problem is all people with the ability to cast magic are supposed to be known and registered#ted is hiding his abilities :) no one knows but Rebecca and beard who would protect that secret with their lives#alright this lore dump has gone on for too longā¦there is so much more and it eats my brain#blood tw#trent crimm#my art#Iāll put this in the TL tag in like a day or something I donāt feel like tagging it right now#this is for me and my own fun
