Guess what I'm still here! Had a little free time so I started drawing more sw characters and their dragon forms for my Dragon!jedi Au
Here's Bruck (I'm still on the fence about giving him a redemption arc in this AU but we'll see). In my eyes bruck is THE short king btw
When they're kids his dragon form is bigger than Obi-wan's, and he is also one of the first winged dragons from their Creche to learn to fly (Just some of the reasons he bullies Obi-wan, since he is the last one from their age group to learn to use his wings) But ends up being on the smaller side compared to other adult's dragon form's (Including Obi-wan's)
Also, he is not dying in this AU (considering the whole Xanatos arc is scrapped here) but again, I haven't decided on whether or not I want him to stay a Jedi

Lady C and Baroness Bruck by u/Winter-South-7448
Lady C and Baroness Bruck I keep thinking about Lady C saying that there is an absolute bombshell, something huge that is coming out in Spring that is going to bring the Harkles undone. When Markle first started dating Harry there was a relatively small group of people who saw through her and had concerns. A number of social media accounts were aligned with us sinners, including the twitter account of Baroness Bruck@BaronessBruck and she had a strong following.I followed her because she was like-minded and saw Markle for what she was. Then some time ago, the account changed suddendly, overnight. Bruck went from being a sinner to a really nasty, malevolent sugar. It was presumed when this change happened, that the account had been sold. Who would have the motivation to take Bruck out of circulation as a sinner, and replace its content with pro-sussex bile? There is speculation on twitter that it is actually the ILBW who bought the account and who operates it, along with other accounts like Myra (i.e. My real account)@SussexPrincess.The Bruck account contains the most vile vitriol against Catherine. One of the things posted today for example says "But Kate is not dying yet, is she??? with a gif of a clown appearing out of a grave that has just been dug.Meanwhile Theresa Longo Fans@BarkJack on twitter, in my view a trustworthy sinner, has been saying for months that (i) the ILBW is part of a co-ordinated twitter bot campaign against the RF, and (ii) that the RF has been undertaking an in-depth investigation of the social media abuse against the RF with a specific purpose in mind. We know that a lot of that twitter abuse has targetted Catherine, someone for whome the ILBW has almost unhinged jealousy and hatred.Could it be that the bombshell Lady C is talking about, is the RF releasing its investigatory proof that the ILBW has been behind the social media attacks on the RF, and in particular, that the ILBW is behind accounts such as Baroness Bruck? That would completely destroy any remaining reputation of the ILBW, and would provide irrefutable grounds for the RF to remove the Harkle's titles, Harry's place in the LoS, etc.Is this a real possibility, or just wishful thinking? post link: https://ift.tt/8unbY4D author: Winter-South-7448 submitted: March 25, 2024 at 11:21AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. https://aqua.org/stories/2023-06-26-sanctuary-state thoughts? I really don’t like this. THE National Aquarium has fully embraced the ARA rhetoric around dolphins in captivity, saying that their own dolphin exhibit is “patronizing” and “for human entertainment”, despite the fact that they’re a scientific aquarium that is clearly leaps and bounds better than any of those cheap tourist trap dolphin swim places. The “Whale Sanctuary Project” has clearly stated on its website that they want to put an end to all wildlife in captivity, so it honestly makes me sick that National is partnering with them. They’ve turned their backs on all their colleagues in the AZA that have dolphins and slandered them. I hope they lose their AZA accreditation over this.
Tumblr media
Thank you for this ask. I read National's statement a few weeks ago, and it made me sick to my stomach. I didn't post about it because honestly I was unsure I would be able to speak on the issue without becoming overly emotional, but you have expressed basically everything I feel.
At this point, it isn't that National is moving their dolphins to a sea pen that bothers me. We've known this for seven years, and since they're an AZA facility, I had to at least have a little faith that this was for the animals' wellbeing. I've met several trainers and veterinarians who left the National Aquarium at least in part due to their handling of the dolphin situation, but I never imagined it was this bad until now. This world-renowned aquarium is repeating activist rhetoric pretty much verbatim. They're partnering with an anti-zoo organization that works against everything they stand for as an institution. They're publicly slandering their colleagues. If I didn't know better, I would think this was a thinkpiece by PETA and not an official statement from an AZA institution. I also find it incredibly disturbing that they claim the "success" of SEA LIFE's Beluga Whale Sanctuary (and the non-existent Whale Sanctuary Project??) serves as their example, when it has been... slightly less than successful.
If I could ask National's CEO one thing, it would be this: Are the other animals in your collection not entertainment? What makes them different? What makes them "education" but your dolphins "exploitation"? Elasmobranchs, for example, are a staple of public aquaria, but they present their own host of issues. Reproductive disease, nutritional imbalances, musculoskeletal deformities. Why are you giving up on your dolphins but not them? Will you let an activist group take them next?
I'm afraid I must agree with you... they do not deserve to remain in the AZA. Not if they're going to brazenly accuse their fellow members of animal abuse while allowing anti-zoo organizations to dictate their own animals' care. I'm really, really scared of where this is going, and I would love to see the other AZA aquariums housing cetaceans (Brookfield Zoo, Disney's Epcot, Georgia Aquarium, Indianapolis Zoo, Marineland Florida, Mystic Aquarium, Shedd Aquarium, Texas State Aquarium, the SeaWorld parks, and numerous international members) release a joint statement on the issue affirming their committment to ex situ conservation, research, and public outreach. And I deeply hope none of the "10 other dolphin-holding institutions" mentioned are AZA facilities.
I wish the best to Beau, Foster, Chesapeake, Bayley, Spirit, Jade, and their caregivers, who are losing the animals to whom they've devoted their lives to a situation in which they have no say.
I do also wish to share this statement from Jason Bruck's lab. Dr. Bruck is a PhD animal behaviorist specializing in dolphin communication and cognition both in the wild and in human care.

Mischief and Misinformation, part 3
(part 1) (part 2)
Obi-Wan desperately needed a caf. It seemed like everywhere he went in the Temple there were whispers of his "tragic" padawanship with Qui-Gon or stories of him having crippling insecurities and an inability to take basic care of himself. It was ridiculous! And frustrating. If one more person expressed surprise at seeing him eat a full meal in the cafeteria, he was going to scream.
He was, in fact, on his way to get some lunch for himself and some Healer-recommended snacks for Ani. His impulsive padawan had recovered from eating too much blue custard, but had brought himself to the attention of Master Che, who was, in his words, "punishing" him for his "mistake" by making him eat a healthier diet. For a whole week.
Obi-Wan was pulled from his musing by the excited chatter and galloping feet of some younglings on fast approach. He stepped to the side to give them room to pass, but as the first of them, a young selonian, came careening around the corner on all fours, he spotted Obi-Wan and somersaulted to a stop.
"Master Bee!"
"Initiate Zip." Obi-Wan smiled in recognition. Three more figures came around the corner and piled up, wild flickers of the Force keeping them from landing in a pile on top of Zip.
"Master Bee!" the others echoed.
He recognized them, too. He'd done a few stints in the creches, though it had been a while since he'd had time to visit.
"Good afternoon, Archix Clan." He bowed to them, and they hastily bowed back. "You seem to be in a hurry today. Off to your interdimensional mathematics lesson?" He asked it with as much solemnity as he could muster.
"We're going swimming in the Sesid Falls!" Zip chirped. "You wanna come-"
"No!"
Issa, a blue-skinned nautolan lurched forward, clapping a hand over Zip's mouth and staring at Obi-Wan with wide eyes.
"Sorry, Master! Zip wasn't thinking! Again." She whispered something to Zip, whose eyes also widened, his ears flattening into his fur.
"Srry Mfr!" he said around Issa's hand.
Behind them, Molly had her hands over her own mouth and Plansa was tugging at her ear flaps. A prickling sense of foreboding had him suspecting he knew what this was about.
Had everyone been reading these spacer stories about him? Even crechelings? He'd tried looking them up after his bout with Kit, but hadn't found anything amiss in the mission archives. Or the wider archives, for that matter.
"Hesa jes' excited for da paddlewompy," Plansa said, her distress obvious from her reversion to Gunganese Basic. "No be sads, Massa Bee!"
Molly nodded agreement, her pigtails flapping against her shoulders.
Knowing he was going to regret it, he couldn't help asking anyway. "And why would I be sad, Plansa?"
Four pairs of eyes stared at him, stricken. Plansa squealed, clamping her hands down on her beak as she tried to hide behind the much-smaller Molly.
"No reason!" Issa began dragging Zip down the hall, the selonian half-crouched to accommodate her. "No reason at all! Sorry! We gotta go!"
She, Zip, and Plansa dashed away, but Molly hesitated, looking conflicted. She was human- or near enough- and the quietest of the group, but now she stepped closer, reaching out to grasp his hand.
A burst of comfort washed through him.
"It wasn't your fault, Master Bee," she said. "He fell. And anyway, he'd kidnapped your friend and was gonna let her die."
A chill prickled between his shoulders. Who fell? Who'd been kidnapped?
Molly released his hand and stepped back, bowing. "You did the right thing. Bye!"
She took off running to join her friends.
Obi-Wan stared after them, trying to piece together what stories he'd heard to see if he could figure out where this one fit in. Other than it presumably being Qui-Gon's fault, which seemed to be the common theme.
"A great tragedy, it was," spoke a familiar voice.
He looked over to see Master Yaddle floating around the corner in her chair.
"Yes, a tragedy indeed when challenge you, Bruck Chun did, and fall to his death, he did, in the Temple gardens."
"Master." Obi-Wan bowed deep. "We both know that never happened. Didn't he join the Temple Guard a few years back?"
Yaddle chuckled, her ears waggling back and forth.
"Find his path, he did. And not over the falls, it was."
She sounded amused. Obi-Wan pinched the bridge of his nose.
"These rumors are getting out of hand. Please tell me the Council is doing something about it."
"Doing many things, the Council is," Yaddle said, levitating her chair higher. "Always busy, we are. A distraction these rumors have been, but the trail we have found."
He straightened. "Do you know who's doing this? And why?"
That was the thing he couldn't figure out. The whole debacle was strange enough, but why him? Why this?
Yaddle hummed, starting her chair back down the hall. He moved to keep pace with her.
"Years ago it was done," she said. "Discovered the slice only now, we did."
"Someone sliced the Temple records??"
It wasn't unheard of, but it was extremely rare; moreso since Jocasta Nu took over the Archives.
"Displeased, the Master of the Archives was," she said, as if that wasn't an incredible understatement. "Corrected, the security flaw was.
"I imagine that Madame Nu had quite a lot to say about that," he said.
Yaddle laughed. "Protective, she is. Correct she is, also. Lost we would be, without knowledge. And led astray, we can be, when misrepresented our history is."
Obi-Wan nodded. "Do you know who did it?"
Her ears flicked in acknowledgement. "Know him, we do. And know him as well, do you."
If he didn't know better he'd say the look she gave him was sly. He slowed, frowning. She slowed her chair to match him.
"A great dislike someone had for Master Jinn. An equally great affection he had for you."
Obi-Wan wasn't sure "affection" was the right word for the pitiful life the stories had depicted, but he could feel the pieces start to click together in his head.
"Affection, yes. Skilled, he is, in deception, and inclined, he is, to, hrmm... mischief."
It hit him like a rock to the head.
"Quinlan."
Yaddle snorted, her ears pricked forward in blatant amusement.
"Much to answer for, your friend has," she said. "And arrive soon, he should, at hangar 8-Kresh.
"Thank you, Master." He bowed to her. "I believe I'm needed elsewhere right now."
It had been a while since he'd spoken with his dear old friend. Now seemed like a good time to catch up. He turned, heading for the hangars.
"With you, the Force is," Yaddle called after him. "And need that, your friend will, when find him, Jocasta does."
Obi-Wan picked up his pace.

Left-fascism: A generic term for fascisms that actively try to incorporate socialist egalitarianism and economic radicalism, and often to recruit from and even build bridges with the wider ‘Left’. Some might be best described as ‘fascists of the left’ (Ba‘athists, Ethnocacerists), others as the ‘left of fascism’ (Strasserists, Italy’s national syndicalists). There’s an argument to be made that only those deliberately and explicitly borrowing from the left count as left-fascist, which would generally exclude Strasserists.
Strasserism: A form of National Socialism — that is, fascism based on biological racism and antisemitic conspiracy theory — espousing a preferential role for the working class and something like guild socialism, inspired more by a medievalist völkisch ethos than by modern revolutionary doctrines (they were friendly to the USSR but so was Moeller van den Bruck). As always, read Postone.
It should be noted that while Otto was a fringe ultra who was expelled from the NSDAP in 1930 and went on to found his own paramilitary Black Front, Gregor was a high-ranking Nazi elite who ultimately distanced himself from his brother, actually tried to strike a deal with the conservatives behind Hitler’s back, and was assassinated mostly for threatening Hitler’s authority; i.e. the notion of a coherent left-wing ‘Strasserite’ faction in the NSDAP as late as 1934 is largely erroneous. That said, the idea of Strasserism has definitely exerted a strong influence on neo-Nazism, such as in the 1980s British National Front.
National Bolshevism: A term for a number of related phenomena: 1) a clique of White Russian émigrés who reconciled themselves to the Bolshevik state as a worthy continuation of Imperial Russia under new management, and later played a role in the development of Soviet patriotism under Stalin; 2) a tendency in Conservative Revolutionary circles gathered around Ernst Niekisch, a former socialist who moved right and saw the Russian Revolution as the recipe for an organic national rebirth; 3) a late Soviet tendency, both in and out of official Party channels, toward overt antisemitism, ethnic nationalism, and the rehabilitation of Russian national heroes within the framework of the Communist regime — today reflected in the ultra-nationalism and social conservatism of Zyuganov’s CPRF; 4) a neo-fascist political tendency founded by Aleksandr Dugin and Eduard Limonov in 1993, inspired more or less by all of the above and fusing expansionist Russian ultra-nationalism, nostalgia for the USSR as a bulwark against the West, and a provocative and eclectic style drawing from communism, anarchism, Nazism, and punk.
Russian National Bolshevism has been the inspiration for, among other things, ex-Strasserist Matthew Heimbach’s reformation of the Traditionalist Workers’ Party along radically anti-capitalist lines and attempts to infiltrate the progressive left, and the small Brotherhood group in Ukraine which is interesting for its intense Christian religiosity.
I do not know remotely enough about Francis Parker Yockey to discuss him adequately here.
Third-Positionism: What fascists would simply call the Third Position. It is often conflated with ‘nazbols’, but in fact third-positionists make no claims to having anything to do with the left, certainly not with communism. Developing in postwar Western Europe (originally Italy, later France, the UK etc before spreading elsewhere) under the influence of Julius Evola, the Strasser brothers, the European New Right as well as Perónism and other Third World national liberation movements, it advocated a European and global rebirth by carving out a holistic national alternative to the twin evils of capitalism and communism.
The goal is to reveal the bankruptcy of the political spectrum itself: apparently progressive issues were actually nationalist all along and apparently reactionary ones are actually revolutionary, right and left must both be dissolved and transcended in the organic unity of the nation (a very old fascist argument). Presumably the third-positionist adoption of causes like ecologism, anti-capitalism, anti-globalization, Third Worldism, and in at least one case (Mexico) even indigenous liberation is what makes people automatically conflate it with red-brown stuff, but — with the exception of Dugin’s revealingly-named Fourth Political Theory — there is almost never any actual ‘red’ involved (unlike for a National Bolshevik like Limonov or Heimbach): there doesn’t need to be because fascism is already a ‘third position’ in their eyes.
The National Front in its ‘Strasserist’ phase, mentioned above, is a good example and it’s telling that they were so infatuated with Qadhdhafi as to basically regard the Green Book as their political program; ‘International Third Position’ was a later breakaway from the NF led by Roberto Fiore of the original Italian Terza Posizione. IME the Third Position is often explicitly Christian, but there’s a very small Albanian group that’s neo-pagan (and probably better examples I just haven’t seen).

Fic Excerpt: Agri Corps Obi-Wan and Yoda talk about the past
This is an excerpt from the fanfic I’m working on where Yoda has traveled to see young Obi-Wan Kenobi who is working in the Agri Corps.  They have a heated discussion about how and why Obi-Wan ended up there.
* * *
“Why think you do that good enough you are not?”
Are.  Not were.  The boy didn’t seem to notice.
Obi-Wan gave the grandmaster an incredulous look.  “I wasn’t chosen as a padawan.  That makes it pretty obvious.”
“Chosen as a padawan you were not.  Means that not good enough you are this does not.”
The boy froze, glaring at him, his look almost angry for a moment, before it faded to disappointment.
“I’m not a baby anymore.”
“For a long time a baby you have been not.”
“I’m not stupid.  I know I wasn’t good enough.  I know I was never good enough.  I know that none of the knights ever looked at me.  I know that none of the knights ever asked about me.  I know I never met the standards required to be a Jedi padawan and I know that no matter how hard I worked I was never going to.  And I know that everyone else knew it back then too, except me.  The masters knew it.  The docents knew it.  The other kids knew it.  You knew it.  I did all the work, took all the classes, learned all the drills and katas, built two lightsabers,” his voice cracked with emotion, but he steadied himself before continuing.  “And it was all for nothing.  It didn’t matter.  And it wasn’t because the Force never found a master for me.  It was never going to.  There was no master for me.  Everyone knew I was too weak in the Force, and I was just too young and stupid to understand that.”
“True that is not.  Told you that who did?”
The boy looked away.  “No one did.”
Someone did.
“I just grew up enough to figure it out.  I’m not a stupid baby anymore.”
“Why think this is so you do?”
“Because I had the same problems the other initiates did, but everyone said they were good enough.”
“Explain this you will.”
“I know I have poor emotional control.  So did Bruck Chun.  Bruck was even worse.  I got mad and sometimes I yelled, but Bruck hurt people.  Bruck acted out his jealousy.  I got put into A-group.  Bruck got put into advanced classes.  I knew the other kids who were in A-group.  Everyone did, even though the docents pretended we didn’t.  All of those kids had big problems.  Bulin had mental disabilities.  Deerin had no emotional control and couldn’t tell the difference between the Force and her own feelings.  Kelci had too much anxiety and couldn’t focus during her lessons.  I had emotional problems and so did Bruck.  I had to be in A-group for some other reason.  I have no Living Force talent.  I knew that.  I have no Force talent at all.  I used to try to deny it, but everyone knew.  I was hopeless from the start and the Jedi were always going to send me to the Agri Corps.  But that didn’t work and now I’m still a problem the Jedi don’t know what to do with.”
“A problem you are not.”
“If there was a place for me, I wouldn’t be a problem.  But there isn’t.”
“Hopeless you were not.”
Obi-Wan gave him that disappointed look again and he suddenly understood.  He was disappointed in Yoda.  For lying to him.
“Lying to you I am not.”  Yoda reached into his robe pocket and pulled out a locket, opening it to reveal a picture of Elliot’s smiling face.  He was younger here than when Obi-Wan had known him, but the boy should still find him recognizable.
“Believed in you Master Elliot did.  Thought you would be a great Jedi Knight he did.”
The boy stared at the picture and now the tears fell.
“Master L was old and sick, and that’s why he made a mistake. He was wrong.  Everyone knew he was wrong, but they were too nice to tell him. I tried to tell him, and he wouldn’t believe me.”
Yoda felt his heart clench.  Elliot had never told him that.
Before he could say another word, Obi-Wan got up and fled the dining hall, obviously not wanting everyone to see him cry.
Yoda did not try to stop him.

Star Wars As Star Trek AU: Obi-Wan’s Backstory
So, Obi-Wan's backstory in this AU gets some appropriate tweaking.
He grows up in the Stewjoni Highlands with his family. It's a boring existence for a child like Obi-Wan. His parents seem determined to live in the past – they don't even have a replicator! Obi-Wan though, he dreams of the stars. He's constantly in trouble for doodling starships and constellations in his notebook instead of paying attention to lessons.
When Obi-Wan's seventeen he runs away from home and takes the Academy entrance exam. He passes.
The Academy on Coruscant is grand, and quite awe inspiring, but it quickly becomes home. His classmates are strange, maybe even a little insane, but it's clear he's in good company. Obi-Wan's a little insane himself after all.
There's Quinlan Vos, who transferred in from the Guardian Academy on Kiffex, a move that was sponsored by Admiral Tholme. He's a trouble-maker, a flirt, and a devoted friend. Quinlan's in the same command courses as Obi-Wan, though in others, particularly investigation related classes, Quin's ahead. Transfer credits, they're amazing things.
There's Siri Tachi, who seems to enjoy being as contrary as possible. Her and Obi-Wan briefly have a thing before deciding they're better off friends. She eventually winds up taking investigations training. This shift in career trajectory came after a conversation with visiting Lieutenant-Commander Adi Gallia. No one knows what was said, only that Siri left Gallia’s office a more confident person than when she walked in.
Then there's Bant Eerin, who attends Starfleet Medical and takes extension courses to balance out her education. She's in Obi-Wan's engineering and command classes, and the two become the best of friends.
I...don't really know what to say about Reeft? He's there? He's a perfectly average officer with an above average appetite.
Garen Muln is the star of the Academy flight team. He's also decent at diplomacy, something that shocks his friend group to no end. To be fair, if you saw they way him and Obi-Wan argued you'd also be surprised to see his high marks in Diplomatic Courtesies and Protocols.
Obi-Wan also manages to form a rivalry with fellow student Bruck Chun. Bruck's a spoiled ass who thinks "Oafy-Wan" is a funny insult. It's not. Bruck's just a spoiled rich kid who's a badmiral waiting to happen. Their feud is legendary, and ultimately ends in Bruck getting expelled after trying to frame Obi-Wan for a crime.
At the Academy Obi-Wan makes the mistake of taking one of Captain Qui-Gon Jinn's courses on Xenobotony. At first Qui-Gon kinda hates him, he feels like Admiral Yoda, Chancellor of the Academy and full time troll, is trying to force a new mentee on him. Unfortunately for Qui-Gon, it works. Especially after Obi-Wan and him work together to foil Bruck's schemes. Qui-Gon got dragged in because of Xanatos-related nonsense.
While at the Academy Obi-Wan meets Satine Kryze, a Mandalorian exchange student and eldest daughter of Jorad'alor Adonai Kryze, the Duke of Kalevala. Qui-Gon pretends he sees nothing, Obi-Wan's friends do not. They mock him. Relentlessly. Siri and Quinlan make so many jokes about how Obi-Wan's type seems to be people who can kick his ass, physically or verbally.
Obi-Wan struggles to respond to that cause like, they're not wrong.
Satine’s exchange semester ends, and they part amicably. They’re both a bit heartbroken but they love each other too much for one to ask the other to forsake their duty.
Obi-Wan graduates from the Academy and wouldn’t you know it, Captain Jinn’s finally taking a new ship assignment and he specifically requested Obi-Wan.
Life on board the USS Maverick is…interesting, to say the least. Civil wars (in which Obi-Wan falls in love with two people who can kick his ass), sentient trafficking investigations (go take a nap or something Xanatos, eat a Snickers), and copious amounts of alien flora and fauna that tries to kill Obi-Wan (Qui-Gon please, just let the boy take his allergy medication before dragging him on away missions).
Qui-Gon’s not-girlfriend Captain Tahl occasionally shows up, and she’s decided that if Qui-Gon is Obi-Wan’s space dad, then she’s his space mom. Qui-Gon’s former foster son Feemor works at a Terraforming station, and has decided he’ll be a good big brother to Obi-Wan whether Qui-Gon likes it or not.
Various contemporaries of Obi-Wan in canon either show up as fellow officers on the Maverick or as crew on other ships and stations throughout the Federation. Adi Gallia is at some point Qui-Gon’s First Officer, probably around the time Obi-Wan’s a Lieutenant.
Speaking of Lieutenant Kenobi, he has the most eventful couple years after that particular promotion.
First, him and Qui-Gon find out what happened to dead Mand’alor Jango Fett. Turns out, Fett didn’t die, he was kidnapped in the wake of Galidraan and sold to the Kaminoans so they could experiment with making Clone super soldiers (I’ve decided in this AU Jango wasn’t a willing participant). Using a deepfake of Fett the Kaminoans managed to lure in several Haat’ade to use as trainers. Jango was kept compliant by giving him Boba. “Here’s a son, a sweet, vulnerable child who depends on you. Would sure be a shame if we activated the kill-switch we implanted and you had to watch the life drain from his little eyes, huh?”
Yeah, so that’s a situation that ends in Jango dying in a shootout between Kaminoan security forces, a Federation Strike Team, and Jango’s secret Clone Rebellion. No one knows who fired the shot that killed him.
This directly leads into event number two, Satine returns to Obi-Wan’s life.
The Mandalorians send her as their ambassador so they can figure out what the heck to do with all the Clones. Mandalorian law forbids them from allowing Augmented individuals into their space, let alone granting them citizenship. So, the clones, the eldest of which at this point are twenty-ish (I don’t have a good timeline in my head, we’re playing fast and loose and the Clones age normally here) gain Federation citizenship instead. The debate in the Mandalorian government about the clones will circle around fruitlessly for years.
Many wind up enlisting in Starfleet, applying to the Academy, and joining various civil services. Mace Windu somehow ends up with custody of Boba Fett and a young psychic clone named Omega. Kal Skirata just straight up disappears with his 104 commandos plus the six Nulls. They reappear later for… something.
Anyway, during the negotiations things between Obi-Wan and Satine reignite and nine months later Korkie is born. Obi-Wan doesn’t know he’s a dad by the way, because politics and love is the death of duty and all that jazz.
Third, the Maverick is assigned to transport Queen Amidala of Naboo to important trade negotiations. At this point Obi-Wan is a Lieutenant Commander. The mission gets derailed, psychotic Zabrak Augment assassins tend to do that, and Qui-Gon dies, Obi-Wan had to literally cut a man in half, and also now he’s a Captain.
Solid -7 out of ten on the mission-rating scale that one.
Oh, and a few years prior Qui-Gon took custody of this feral rat child named Anakin, who's currently an Ensign on Starbase M-7. So now Obi-Wan's all Anakin has, and boy that's a lot of pressure.
Obi-Wan serves with distinction for a couple more years as Captain of the USS Varactyl before finally getting assigned to the newly minted Venator-class ship, the USS Resolute.

im intrigued by "Heart of the Blade"! 👀
Heart of the Blade is part of an au I've been working on that is heavily inspired by His Dark Materials, where a force-sensitive's kyber crystal is the other half of their soul. it's got two parts so far (more in the future, hopefully), and one of them is done and will be posted soon. I'm actually using the Dai Bendu conlang again for it, and I'm very excited about it.
Here's a little snippet:
Obi-Wan was going to Ilum.
He was one of the last of his age group to go. Bruck had already been and had bragged about it to anyone who would listen, showing off his kaitahj ru ber [lightsaber and crystal] to whoever was nearest. He especially bragged about it to Obi-Wan, who didn’t want to listen but couldn’t help it, because it had been months since his friend Bant had gotten her Ania [Call/Song], and a year since Garen and Reeft had, and until yesterday, Obi-Wan’s crystal had stayed silent.
But he finally felt it, the other half of his soul, his ankai’a [soulmate], calling to him, resonating in his bones. He’d been beginning to wonder if it ever would, or if Bruck was right and he wasn’t meant to be a Jedi. He had never heard of a Jedi that didn’t have nak kaiber [a kyber], it was… impossible. Like a dead person walking around. Above the age of eleven, it just didn’t happen.
