Tamagotchi Uni Gift: Bronze Medal
Not everyone gets a gold or silver medal! So today, Bandai has gifted everyone with a Bronze Medal! This means we’re all in third place! Sad face, but still cute.
It should be delivered to your device and a present badge should be on your network icon in the main menu. If it has not yet been delivered to your Tamagotchi Uni, then you can fetch it under the network icon, info, and then gift. If you do not see it yet, you’ll need to renew info!

Hope blooms even in difficult conditions, if only one shouldn’t lose it. And I didn’t. 🌸
I, Dhriti Hati, embarked on a journey of becoming a Taekwondo athlete 🥋 at the age of 9 as my mother always wanted me to learn self-defense. But very soon, the sport made me fall for it ❤️. Its movements, powerful kicks, above all, self-discipline transformed me into a better version of myself. It taught me how to be resilient and to face challenges with determination.
It’s not long ago, in 2022, I suffered a grave injury 🤕 just before my University Championships, my doctor dismissed me from going to any competition.
However, my coach encouraged me and I competed. This championship brought me my first University Gold medal 🥇. I realised winning is never giving up on your dreams ✨.
I also won my first National medal in 2018 🏅, and a Bronze medal in the Maharashtra State Olympic Games in 2023 🥉. In 2022, I proudly represented my country in the 9th Fujairah Open International Taekwondo Championship 🇮🇳.
Being an athlete, I always aspire to do more with sports, and IISM has opened that door to me. The institute has helped me broaden my vision and redefine my goal 🎯. I, further, wish to see myself working as a Sports Manager in IPL and implementing my experience & skills towards the success of a high-performing team.

Aman Sehrawat loses 4.6 kg in 10 hours, qualifies for weigh-in, and secures Olympic bronze.
Aman Sehrawat clinched the bronze medal in the 57 kg category. Despite the pressure, Aman stayed awake throughout the night. Coach Dahiya mentioned that they had to monitor his weight hourly. After his semifinal loss on Thursday, August 8, Aman Sehrawat faced an enormous challenge as he prepared for his bronze medal match. At 61.5kg, he was 4.5kg over the allowed limit for the men’s 57kg category and had just 10 hours to drop the extra weight. Indian coaches Jagmander Singh and Virender Dahiya played a crucial role in guiding him to shed the weight before the next weigh-in.
Maintaining weight within the permissible limit has become a major focus in wrestling, especially after the Vinesh Phogat incident. The Indian wrestler was disqualified from the women's 50kg final for exceeding the weight limit by just 100g during the second-day weigh-in.
The wrestler's fate now lies in the hands of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which will rule on her appeal and may grant her a joint-silver medal. However, Jadmander and Dahiya were resolute in their approach with Aman, determined to prevent a repeat of the Vinesh scenario.

India Ready For German Challenge In Semifinals Of FIH Hockey Men’s Jr World Cup
Junior World Cup Malaysia: Following an exhilarating comeback win against the Netherlands in the quarterfinal of the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Malaysia 2023, the Indian team is set to face the formidable Germans in the semifinal round, here on Thursday. In the previous matches, the Indian Team secured a 4-2 victory against Korea, suffered a 4-1 defeat to Spain, and bounced back with a commanding 10-1 win over Canada, ultimately securing a second-place finish in Pool C. Notably, India triumphed over the Netherlands, a European powerhouse ranked fourth in world rankings, in a thrilling quarterfinal clash, staging a remarkable comeback to conquer the Dutch with a 4-3 scoreline. Reflecting on the incredible turnaround in the quarterfinals on Tuesday and playing under pressure, Captain Uttam Singh, “We are now used to playing under pressure. Be it the Asia Cup Final against Pakistan or the Bronze Medal match in the Sultan of Johor Cup, we have played and won under pressure. It’s something we have worked on and we have developed a skill set. It also helps that five players from the existing team were part of the previous Junior World Cup, so our experience also comes in handy.” The Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team has faced Germany four times this year and has lost on all four occasions, with their last defeat coming in the semifinals of the Sultan of Johor Cup 2023 3-6. Notably, India faltered to Germany by 2-4 in the semifinals of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021 as well. Eager to set the record straight the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team Chief Coach said, “Germany are a strong team and we faced them in the Sultan of Johor Cup recently but with a slightly different squad and a different approach. We have analysed all the teams in the World Cup, Germany included, and the added learning from the previous matches against them will put us in a good position ahead of the game. The players know that Germany isn’t unbeatable, it’s a matter of executing the plan.” Being the only Asian team amongst the semifinalists, Captain Uttam Singh is confident of a good performance. He said, “The dream of every player in the team is to win the Final and we are working tirelessly towards that goal. The team is in good form and we know the strengths and weaknesses of Germany after facing them so many times. We don’t want to just be participants at the world events. We want to win it and we play with that motivation. So we will use the remaining time to prepare ourselves for the match and ensure we give our best against Germany tomorrow.” Read the full article
