Hey Tumblr friends! I hope everyone is having a good week so far!

I downloaded this remake of Bridgeport world from a friend on Facebook! They posted it in a group I'm in, so I just wanted to talk about how AWESOME it is! They did a great job making this world!

I love that some of the lots are un-furnished! Right now I am decorating this mansion and it sooo big. There are so many rooms, I don't know what I'm going to put in all of these rooms! I would love to hear some ideas!

The owner of this mansion is Bruce Vayne. I made him a single vampire sim who lives there with his butler and pets.

I'll post more pictures in my next post. I have a lot of photographing to do, this world is incredible!

This is the transcription of the Anomaly Interactions Voice Recording from the Anomaly 20230823-EHA-TD-01 investigation. 20230823-EHA-TD-01 was admitted to Prairie Skies Hospital (Bridgeport) on Sunday, August 20, 2023 after appearing on a local's doorstep the previous morning. Medical staff reported disorientation, confusion, aphasia, and possible dissociation. Results of physical examination were within normal parameters for patient's apparent age (estimated 60-70 years old). Arthritis, hypertension, and poor vision without corrective lenses noted. Patient's identity was not able to be determined upon admission, and comparison to local missing persons databases remains inconclusive. Patient was reclassified as anomaly and transferred to PTIA facility on August 23, 2023 after blood panels revealed high levels of xenoparticulates, typical of TD-type anomalies.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Before his arrest Wednesday, Paul Steed was a respected sugar market expert for a subsidiary of famed candymaker Mars Inc. He served on a U.S. trade advisory committee for sweeteners as well as on industry group boards, while giving presentations at conferences.

Now Steed, of Stamford, Connecticut, is accused in a federal indictment of stealing more than $28 million from Mars since about 2013 through various schemes, including diverting funds to companies he set up. He is charged with seven counts of wire fraud and two counts of tax evasion.

Steed, 58, a dual U.S. and Argentine citizen, pleaded not guilty in federal court in Bridgeport on Wednesday and was ordered detained pending trial. A U.S. magistrate judge said Steed was a flight risk and noted that while the government has seized $18 million of the allegedly pilfered funds, several million dollars remain unaccounted for and Steed has strong connections to family in Argentina.

Steed’s lawyer, federal public defender Phoebe Bodurtha, did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Thursday.

His wife, Martina Steed, told The Associated Press in a brief phone call that she did not know all the facts of the case and declined further comment.

Mars Inc. said in a statement that the case involves “the action of a single individual who sought to exploit the organization for personal gain.”

“We fully cooperated with law enforcement to see this matter quickly brought to justice and always remain committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and integrity in all our operations,” it added.

Steed worked remotely from his Stamford home as global price risk manager for Mars Wrigley, according to federal prosecutors. The company is a subsidiary of McLean, Virginia-based Mars Inc., the maker of M&M’s, Snickers, Skittles, Altoids mints and Doublemint gum, as well as other food products and pet food.

Steed and his wife appeared to be living beyond their means, according to the judge’s order authorizing his pretrial detention.

Steed’s annual salary was about $200,000 while his wife was making $40,000 to $50,000 a year as a hair stylist, Magistrate Judge S. Dave Vatti said in the order. Yet they paid $2.5 million in cash in 2023 for a property in wealthy Greenwich, Connecticut, and own a mortgage-free home in Stamford worth $1 million, he wrote.

Steed also sent $2 million over the past several years to relatives, other people and entities in Argentina, where he apparently owns a cattle and tea ranch, according to the order.

In July 2012 he set up a company, Ibera LLC, and a year later he began submitting false invoices from it to Mars, according to the federal indictment. The scheme allegedly went on until December 2020, with Steed stealing nearly $580,000 with the bogus invoices.

A bigger scheme beginning in 2016 would result in the diversion of millions of dollars from Mars through another Steed-created company, MCNA LLC, the indictment said. Prosecutors say Steed told certain sugar refineries who were buying “re-export credits” from Mars to send the money to MCNA instead.

Steed also used MCNA in other scams including one involving the theft of more than $11 million from the sale of Mars’s shares in a financial services company, according to the indictment.

Steed was appointed in early 2021 by then-U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to serve on an agricultural trade advisory committee for sweeteners and sweetener products.

In a LinkedIn posting previewing a commodities conference in New York City last year, Steed was listed as serving in several sugar industry groups, including being a former president of the New York Sugar Club. He also was a member of the Intercontinental Exchange's Sugar Contract Committee and a board member of the U.S. Sugar Users Association.

On Friday, February 15, 2019, a Polk County (Florida) deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding near North Church Avenue and Bridgeport Lakes in Mulberry. That stop eventually led to the arrest of two teens and one adult for their roles in more than two dozen burglaries in southwest Polk County, over the previous four months..

During the traffic stop, a 9mm handgun was found on 16-year-old Alejandro Castro. The firearm was determined to have been stolen during a trend of car burglaries in that part of the county, so Castro was questioned about his part in the burglaries. 

Detectives were able to link Castro to a total of 25 burglaries and a vehicle theft between November and January in the south Lakeland and Mulberry areas. Bartow Police Department was notified after Castro implicated himself in burglaries in their jurisdiction as well.

The investigation identified 16-year-old Bryson Throckmorton and 22-year-old Adam Bustos (Florida inmate H81644), as participants in many of the same crimes.

"Thanks to just a simple traffic stop and an astute deputy, we got a big break that, at this point, has resulted in the arrests of three people for as many as 25 car burglaries and a motor vehicle theft.

It is imperative that these three are held accountable for their crimes and the negative impact they have left on the community." - said Grady Judd, Sheriff.

Alejandro Castro was booked into Polk County Jail in February 2019 and made bail in May 2020; and has since absconded.

This blog was previously dedicated to the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) team the Connecticut Whale. Unfortunately, the team was disbanded when the PHF as a whole was bought out and subsequently shut down in the summer of 2023, and the new regime did not see fit to provide Connecticut with a replacement team (no, the New York team that sometimes plays in Bridgeport does not count). In light of those events, this blog is now . . . I don't know, vaguely dedicated to the folks who played for the Whale during the two seasons I followed the team??? If I figure out something more specific, I'll let you all know.

May 2024 update: I've really, REALLY struggled to stay engaged over the course of the PWHL season, in part because things like Ottawa releasing Tori H. after she played a single game left a bad taste in my mouth, and Kennedy getting injured made Montreal much less interesting to me. This blog is still semi-active, but if you're looking for something, like, ACTUALLY active, this probably isn't the place. I wish it was. I wish my team still existed. I wish we weren't all subject to the whims of billionaires. But welp!!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another year is over so it's time for a look back at what was happening on this blog! I haven't really been around, it was just my queue, and maybe that's one reason why I looked at my archive and went "huh" at everything. I don't remember much. The other reason why this year probably went poof in my head is because I was dealing with some mental health stuff lol. I say lol but it wasn't actually very lol but I'm doing better now and 2024...is looking promising for now.

So, let's talk more under the cut, shall we?

We're in Bridgeport and Sawyer is living his best life. You know, girlfriends, boyfriends, being turned into a vampire, giving birth to three little vampires, threatening to sell his enemies' organs on the black market...best life indeed.

Okay I am now seeing that "talking more" about every month will be impossible since I actually don't have much recollection of 2023 lmao

Sawyer and Erin are at the best point of their relationship, but we left them alone for a bit and went back to NSB. Pastel just moved to Strangerville and got a...rather strange roommate.

The rather strange roommate becomes Pastel's rather strange wife. I love these two so much. We also say hello to Moss -- and also to Ross, who returns from...god knows where. I mean yeah, there was the ts3 Ross, but technically they're two different people. Parallel universes and stuff.

Thea is born and strange wife Jesse gets even stranger. That whole "merging with the mother plant" thing was kinda weird but I really enjoyed it. Idk what I was on but it was fun. And then, before returning to the lepacy, I posted my Cottage Living screenshots! ...which were really just me going "uwu what does this do" on every possible Wicked Whims option.

...and I went from posting weird WW Ross stuff to posting wholesome Growing Together Ross stuff. If that gave you a whiplash, I am sorry, but imagine what it must be like for me. Lepacy time! Loved the soap opera Generations gen. Kinda wish I had sticked to some of the storylines instead of going "eh nvm I just wanna play". August was...welp 💀 I was at the grippy socks hospital for most of that month, 10/10 would recommend, but my queue ran out while I was there so I just reblogged some old stuff for a few weeks.

September is just lepacy month. Cornelia and Archer are happy, they get married, they get more children...yeah. Good wholesome Generations times all around. It's not like they're gonna get divorced later or anything.

The twins are kind of chaotic, one of them turns into a ghost, both then bring their cursed imaginary friends to life...and the final child of Archer and Cornelia is born.

November

I loved running into Sawyer at the grocery store all the time. Weird vampire alleged killer grandpa behavior suits him. Dorothea goes away to a boarding school, hates it there and instantly comes back. Relatable. Oh and midlife crisis hits Archer hard.

December

And we're in December! Dorothea enters her horsegirl era and finds herself a girlfriend...and we'll continue that in 2024!

What's in store for the new year besides the lepacy? Well, Not So Berry will be making a return (and HOPEFULLY we'll finally get to the end. we need to). There's a story I want to do in the NSB universe, if you know you know. Before we dive into the next lepacy generation, I'm thinking of another BC with the gen 7 heir...oh and Marika's Black Widow. Two Roads Brewing collaborates with Vermonter, Noah Kahan, to release Northern Attitude IPA.

STRATFORD, Conn. ... Craft brewing meets musical artistry with Two Roads Brewing Co.’s new collaborative brewing project with Vermont native Noah Kahan: Northern Attitude IPA. New England through and through, Northern Attitude IPA is a piney, resinous, 7% ABV IPA inspired by the music that Noah’s fans have come to know and love.

“Noah, his music, and his values embody the same Road Less Traveled mindset we take to crafting beer,” said Collin Kennedy, Director of Marketing of Two Roads. “Noah and Two Roads are both from, and of, New England, wear their regional pride on their sleeves and draw upon that region to inspire their respective crafts. So, teaming up with Noah to create a beer that pays homage to our roots and benefits an important cause in The Busyhead Project was just a natural from the start. Two Roads and Kahan worked closely together to create Northern Attitude IPA, from taste profile to package design – all while Kahan is on tour. The beer aims to drive awareness and funds for The Busyhead Project, an organization founded by Kahan that provides resources to mental health organizations dedicated to meeting the needs of marginalized communities with both crisis care and tools for sustainable resilience.

Northern Attitude IPA will first be available at Two Roads’ Stratford, Conn. brewery on September 3rd, but fans can also get a taste at Kahan’s upcoming concert at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Conn. onSeptember 5th and the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on September 6th and 7th.   Following the concert, Northern Attitude IPA will be available in 16 oz. 4-packs at retailers within the brewery’s New England footprint, for a suggested retail price of $15.99.
